Searching for a Spring in the Dead of Winter - Duration: 12:07.so ever since our hydrant over by the barn broke but having to get all the
water for the Ducks right from there off the side of the house it's far from an
ideal situation carrying one bucket of water out here to the Ducks isn't too
bad but the problem really comes up when I'm trying to bring six or seven buckets
out to fill up the duck pools so the water for this hydrant is fed from a
spring way out there somewhere I don't even know where it is
I talked to a friend of mine who's a plumber and he said he could fix this
hydrant or actually replace the hydrant for a really small money and so I'm not
too worried about that but the problem is he needs to be able
to go to the Springboks to turn it off and given that I don't know where the
Springbok actually is that is an easier said than done task
release the Quacken release the Quacken release the Quacken I think it's a little
bit too cold for them to want to go outside today nice and fresh
so now some of you have been asking why I bother leaving the duck water in the
duck house at night it's just gonna freeze I do it because I believe that
the Ducks and having for them to have fresh water as much fresh water as they
can it's a really good thing and it's gonna freeze in the morning it's gonna
freeze it midday it's gonna freeze at night so dealing with frozen water
I don't mind I'll just do my little rubber duck dish dance and break up the
ice and so it's not that bad for everything I've read from everything
I've seen having fresh water is a good thing for ducks and so if it means a
little bit of extra work for me to make sure that they have as much fresh water
as I can possibly provide without actually having electricity out to here
I don't know it's not such a bad thing
built for my ducks for getting him water carry him definitely working perfectly
for six months
and I feel like I was really in the groove and now and so I guess that's why
I'm so bent out of shape about having this broken water pipe because the
problem for my system and so I guess it's time to start venturing out into
the wilderness there so I've resolved that today I'm going to go on a mission
I'm gonna go out to the woods and see if I can find it if I could that would be
awesome
most of our property is actually wooded so this is a map that I got from our
Forester that I think has some of the markings that I need to try to find this
spring and now this line here that you see right here I believe this is a
stream maybe somewhere in that circle is where the spring is that feeds the barn
so we're gonna go try to track that down so for some perspective what I'm talking
about is way out over there now because the snow is still so deep
and it's really too deep to easily walk around I'm gonna strap on some snowshoes
to help me stay atop of things hopefully the snow is a good quality for
snowshoeing
so there was so much water over the last couple days between the snowmelt and the
rains that this usually would be frozen solid right around now this time of year
can't forget you guys shallow water behind us
oh right me across
whoa oh shoot I went down look let's see that those are some turkey
tracks right there see him do that right there dinner they're their turkeys looks
like only one kind of like turkeys and ducks have their own natural snowshoe
hello turkey droppings based on my math this
is pretty much right where I thought it would be but I don't think I can see
anything
I ain't good I don't think I'm gonna find it because
of how high the snow is and because of how hard it is to go across the stream
right now I don't think I'm finding that Spring box anytime before April you
know I've been out here in the summer before trying to find it like I'd go out
for a hike or something and then I didn't have too much luck
now it's golly it's even worse like it's impossible to find any things I mean
usually I'm contending with like this is all covered in you know scrub brush and
prickers and all that sort of good stuff but you know just with the machete in
the long sweatshirt I'm fine with that stuff this there's no getting around
this snow it's too much too hard to see I guess this mission is a failure that
stinks
you
when you really want to do something and you're really passionate about doing it
you're always gonna find a way to make it work I think yesterday was so bummed
out by the fact that their system and everything that I developed wasn't
working then I kind of lost sight of the fact that I really want to be a farmer
and I really want to take care of these ducks and if it's gonna require more
work if it's gonna require building out a new system I'm just gonna make it
happen
after my failed search to find the spring yesterday I started to do a
little thinking and I came up with a plan I ran into the hardware store and I
got a short hose I got a little on/off switch hose nozzle connector thing and a
burlap bag and the reason I got those things was because I was building out a
new system I feel like this morning as I'm trying
this out and using it moving the water out here for the ducts it hasn't been
that bad in fact it was probably about the same
as it was before
and now as I'm out here with the Ducks and just looking at me and seeing how
happy they are and seeing how healthy they are and seeing how well they're
doing as they swim through the water I'll take a little bath and splash
around it just it makes it all seem worth it I mean coming out here in the
morning hanging out with these guys watching them doing the work around here
collecting a couple of fresh eggs that's kind of what it's all about if you want
something I mean like really want something if you have a dream you can't
let every little obstacle or every little thing delay you or prevent you
from achieving that dream and even if you've made some great plans and even if
you've figured like the whole thing out and feel like you're set circumstances
are gonna change and it's how you adapt and how you continue to pursue that
dream that really makes all the difference in my mind and while I
probably won't find the spring until the spring and I've got probably about three
more months of winter to contend with and dealing things this way I feel like
it's all very very manageable that's all I've got for you guys today I hope you
found it interesting and I'll see you back here next time at Gold Shaw Farm
where we are slowly and patiently and consistently trying to build a farm in
Vermont

Tinder m'a tuer... | SWEET AS KIWI #1 | Eng Sub - Duration: 5:29.Hello my little chocolate kiwis!
today new concept!
i take the togen concept
who do that in korea
and i adapt that in new zealand
i really like his "what's up korea"
so i want to do that with my style in new zealand
i hope he's not gonna take that wrong
but i think it's great that he inspired ideas!
so this concept's gonna be
speak about the country
about strange stories
so yeah unusual stories
and also stories who change what we think
that new zealand is a dream country!
you asked me to give you flaws but i'm gonna give you stories!
so if i tell you Tinder you tell me!
hook up! Noooo
no it's not that!
if i tell you tinder i tell you dating application
really used in new zealand
and around the world i think
but be careful, this app
can be bad for you!
and the story that i'm gonna tell you
is a story who end's up bad!
because of tinder!
this incredible story start at Napier
in the north island of new zealand
a woman
try to find a man in this dating app
in this case the woman's name is Rosy
it's a kiwi girl age 17
who search on tinder
easy targets
and she find this indian immigrant
his name is Samdeep
so yeah she met him in tinder
she said to the court that she used tinder
to steal people
to steal to these poor guys who just want
to find love
she wanted to steal the car of this guy
stuffs and everything
but it ended up
this guy is dead and was find in a counterfoil
this story started in last christmas
so yeah this person
this woman, sent a text to her tinder date to met him
but she brought back two friends
i think some stong guys
i don't know but yeah two friends
two guys
who brought this indian guy
outside of the city
to stole his car
we don't know what happenned
but in one instant one of these guys stabbed
the indian guy with 9 stabs wounds
in the back, heart, throat
and in the face i think
nah it was in the chest
so the summaries of the case showed that these two guys who helped this girl
did that since a long time
they asked her to find some easy guys
like that they can steal the car or
others stuffs
but in this case
they already planned to attack him
and at the end they killed this indian guy
and what is crazy and not linked to this story i think
this summer
so 6 months after this situation
there was a foreigner girl
who was find in an apartment
dead
and they also thought that it was a tinder date
who was the cause of this incident
she was coax by a guy
and then he murdered her
secretly
so i told you this kind of story it's
first we think that new zealand is a country
really calm and nothing happen here
there is no crimes
but we can see that
in every country there is insane people
like every country you need to be careful
and many people come in this country like
it's ok i can do whatever i want
it's relax and nothing bad's gonna happen to me!
but it's possible! so be careful
this story is a proof
that... well first tinder is not good!
you need to stop tinder!
but really that you need to be careful
so first maybe you can know the person and not meet him the first night
because it can happen
and i also think that this story is unbelievable
because
it's normally guys who coax girls
to killed them
but in this case it's the opposite
it's a girl who coax a guy
who was helped by two friends
so it's really not the same
so yeah i hope you liked this kind of insolite stories
i found a lot
i started to search about insolite stories in new zealand
and there are a lot of weird one
so yeah i'm gonna do this new concept
stories about new zealand
who change the cliché about this country
i don't want to scare you
but i give you these stories and what you with that is not my problem
and i'm gonna put articles and websites in description
before people tell me "no it's not possible!!"
"it's fake"
nope it's not fake so be careful
so hope you enjoyed
don't forget the blue thumb
always a pleasure
subscribe! it's the most important
see you next time
bye

Changing the Marketing Team, The Journey, Episode 19, Season 2 - Duration: 4:44.MICHAEL STELZNER: This gray hair is gray
because of me not getting to this point sooner.
A real-life story on how to master marketing.
Join us on 'The Journey'.
MICHAEL STELZNER: I'm about to meet with the social team
to talk about some changes going on inside the company.
ERIK FISHER: Alright, welcome to social team meeting.
MICHAEL STELZNER: First of all, it's a brand new year,
and it's a time for change,
and one of the changes is that we are hiring a Director of Marketing.
Every year, around this time, I realize I'm understaffed.
There's more work to go around than the team can handle.
And I finally come to the realization that I need to hire
a really top-notch marketing director
who can actually take this company
and all of our products to the next level.
I'm looking for someone who has the right skills
to be able to motivate all the people in the company
to move this titanic ship, if you will,
in whatever direction we need to as rapidly as possible.
What if we rolled social under marketing
in a formalized kind of way?
ERIK FISHER: Right now,
instead of being autonomous,
we would be actually in sync.
And that I think, has been a problem.
MICHAEL STELZNER: The stuff that you guys do is,
you know, in the beginning
it was simply all about driving traffic
to Social Media Examiner, right Erik?
ERIK FISHER: We were functioning
as a part of distribution of editorial content only,
and gradually, we've turned into community building/marketing.
MICHAEL STELZNER: And let's be honest,
Jeff, you're a marketer, Jen, you're a marketer,
Erik, you are a marketer,
so bringing all these marketing minds together
kind of in a hive mentality and then having one director
overseeing the entire thing, I think would be advantageous.
I'm gonna go ahead and pull in some of the marketing department
to have a conversation about conversion social and marketing.
Cause right now, the marketing department produces my podcast
and it produces 'The Journey'.
Erik's team produces the live show and the Alexa Flash Briefing.
JEN BALLARD: Right.
MICHAEL STELZNER: But it makes sense that all these productions
be under the marketing department.
JEN BALLARD: Sure. MICHAEL STELZNER: Right?
JEN BALLARD: That makes sense, yeah.
MICHAEL STELZNER: 'Cause they're all produced with an intent and a purpose to draw an audience to us.
ERIK FISHER: Often,
social is, in essence, siloed.
I know we could be much more effective
if we were more coordinated with marketing.
JEFF SIEH: I think it's great.
I love the idea of the flat brain trust.
MICHAEL STELZNER: The goal is to flatten the marketing department,
and everyone's gonna report to the director.
And the director will be the person that reports to me.
KIM REYNOLDS: You know, potentially having more access, like Jeff and Jen.
I think they're just gonna be a huge asset to the marketing side of things.
SAIDAH MURPHY: We do so much work together anyway,
So to have everybody on the same team,
it will make it ten times easier to collaborate.
JEN BALLARD: It makes sense because,
you know, we were more integrated before
when the company was a lot smaller.
ALI MCGEE KELLY: Anytime you have an opportunity
to break through some walls and silos
between teams in our company,
I think is a good thing.
PHIL MERSHON: You have data in the marketing team,
but they have relationships.
So pulling those two things together
is actually super, super smart for us.
MICHAEL STELZNER: Thank you everybody.
(CHEERS)
(LAUGHTER)
I'm a little nervous.
I don't know how long it's gonna take
to find my ideal prospect,
but I'm also very excited about this job opportunity.
It's gonna be a big deal for the company.
Really, this person is technically replacing me.
JEN BALLARD: The company is his baby,
and it's hard for him to let go of stuff.
MICHAEL STELZNER: But I'm a marketer/CEO.
I've kind of grown up mostly as a marketer.
So to hire a Director of Marketing kind of means
I now need to move into a position
where I am acting more like a CEO and less like a marketer.
I'm telling you right now, it's a necessity for my sanity
that we hire this person, OK?
JEN BALLARD: Yeah.
I worked with Mike for 5 1/2 years,
and I can see and tell
that he wants to move on to new projects.
MICHAEL STELZNER: This gray hair is gray
because of me not getting to this point sooner.
And in order for me to really take this company to the next level,
I need to be unencumbered
from the day to day operations of the marketing department.
When we do surveys,
we ask lot of data and we make a lot of it public.
But what we don't make public is...
(INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)
OK, this is Social Media Examiner trivia.
This guy right here
was modeled after my graphic designer's son.
Does anybody know what this guy's name is?
If you know, leave a comment.
MICHAEL STELZNER: Please join me on 'The Journey'.

so you don't miss any of our future episodes.

HopSkipDrive - The End of Unaccompanied Minor PAX? - Duration: 6:57.hey guys I just want to share with you guys this company I signed up for called Hop Skip Drive
every girl Paula here I'm talking about hop skip drawing right now hop skip drive
so this is a child driver thing on this is basic claim you're being a care
driver for school children these minors that they don't want to be picking up
it's nipper driver so they actually do home to car service it's a long female
drivers of their female drivers here in LA and San Francisco it's available all
around oh I leave up the holy city fixes available and right now so you just want
to check because they'll soon be launching throw at the agency and I
highly recommend if you're a five-star uber driver or a lyft driver right share
driver this is something you might want to do because the perks of this job is
very easy I mean in might some people might think all you're doing with babies
and everything but you're not you're dealing with bad children that are six
years old until 18 and then after luck we can check it work they can call over
here we go home hello hello
and then I can pick them up but otherwise they have to use the service
while their parents do I mean it's all done through the parents also how I came
across it was a my friend on the internet cuz I had heard of this program
because you know I always thought it'd be really good for one of the rideshare
company to do something for you know female passengers who don't watch
Jake again Cooper we invented an uber just for
women (boober) you have to keep canceling on the guys I expect to do that and then I just
end up taking this away cause I feel safer though I prefer if the dash camera
it's running also if the uber driver does use a dash camera so basically I'm
an online back in December signed up there and sent all my information on my
car I decided to use a Lincoln in this case so that way I sent in pictures of
it the Tejas tration and insurance okay they wanted that plus not only that you
know you've got to be like it's not 21 you have to be 23 years old not only
that you have to be a female so I call my for that too and then also
you have to have a squeaky clean driving record no moving violations and three
years no tickets so I guess all these speeding tickets dropped off so all my
speeding tickets they dropped off no duis don't have any duis be clean also
be fingerprinted me they also do a background check your check or just like
they do but uber does take a little bit longer cuz you don't think I mean if I
used a platform some stranger coming in to pick up my
child even although it's a female driver he's still kind of feel like like the
little girl to say hi this morning she was so adorable
I'm just changed names and everything I'll call her cassandra and the name was
Cassandra so little Cassandra she was Smith Kali did she have anything yeah
some of the other are hop skip divers are dropping they don't want to talk and
yeah she was like super happy together but my band variety was super glad to
get out like I know she was really happy and then dick if you have found this up
everything thank you and if the Haines and Joey told you to
well you know what
we give you funny yes I know sass thumbs up and if you liked this video - you can
keep it a big thumbs up for a hop skip
get balls so you go through that initiation of getting you know attacks
from on say hey Paul congratulations you have now made it to orientation however
we're fully booked until I think it was January so I Wis mid-december so we only
made two weeks I had to wait before I read em few weeks later I got another
text from then you know they had available for orientation
engendering so okay that's cool go outside jump you know can see go
through the car really well unlike uber things thank you right down there they
actually have a head office okay I've done it in LA which is really nice
because that way you feel in your class or if there's a problem you're talking
to them right in your and handling Los Angeles so it's brilliant I'm not
talking to somebody in a foreign country so Haley so go through to the
orientations on your orientation day so I'm like half an hour
you know after you're filled up so they want to knowing you have a background
but least five years minimum childcare experience nine Clips right there your
own child to Melanie or likes us so I hired nothing he's to raise my son so I
know who are being and I also have been okay I first came to America and and
Australia I was an au pair and it was a lot of fun for very short
yeah I help kids as long as I yes am I do I have one myself so I'm thinking
maybe I should break this up for you because they're so long going on here
anyway so the next time I will go into debt on
in the meantime don't forget to subscribe button below
okay guys take a seat

You were a supporter -- an early supporter of Bernie Sanders
in the last election. -Yeah.
Still a friend of his.
Where do you take him to lunch here?
-The OG. This is Busy Bee's.
I was gonna take Bernie to another restaurant,
and my wife, in classic Southern black wife speak said,
"You ain't taking that man to no white folks' restaurant."
[ Laughter ] "He wants the black vote,
you're gonna take him to a black restaurant."
So we went to Busy Bee's,
which was a restaurant my grandfather used to take me to,
and all of Atlanta goes there.
And I think he had baked chicken, I had fried chicken,
and we both had cornbread and greens.
-You also took him to a barber shop -- correct? --
but he did not get a haircut.
-Well, he rocks -- he rocks what we call the classic Bernie 'fro.
-Yeah. -So, you don't -- you don't --
you don't need the classic Bernie 'fro cut as much.
It's just comb forward a lot.
[ Laughter ] -Yeah.
Also, very exciting --
Run The Jewels has a new album coming.
-"4." We're gonna --
-"4"? -Yeah.
-What -- Can you tell us anything about it?
-It's gonna feel like the most frigid of New York days
and you're walking out of Katz's with a pastrami sandwich
and someone punches you in your face.
-That is... [ Laughter ]
What an incredible review. I can't wait.
-[ Laughs ] -I can't wait to listen.
-Thank you. -Hey, man, thank you so much
for being here. -Thank you, Seth.
-Congrats on the show. -I appreciate it.

Manicura de paraguas (con pegatinas caseras: reverse stamping) - Duration: 4:10.This is today's manicure
Here is the video tutorial
I start applying base coat to protect my nails
I paint two nails with mustard yellow polish
other two with light blue polish
And the pinky one, with a glitter pinck polish
I apply two coats
I wait for it to be dry
I apply the nail polish on the plate
I scrap
I scrap twice, because there was some polish out of the design
And I pick up the image
I do the same with all the stickers
This image is too big
and I have little nails
So I use this trick to reduce the image
here I only want the umbrella
After i pick up the image,
I remove the other lines with a piece of tape
I need to be careful
I can use a doting tool
I paint the images
I use clear stampers
because I can see how is it going
and repair any mistake
I paint and wait for it to be dry
I apply top coat
It has to be dry, but not completely dry
In this way, the sticker is easily pasted
I put all the stickers on my nails
I use some liquid latex for big stickers
because it's easier cleaning
I use a doting tool
And then, I can remove with my finger
And finally, I apply top coat on my nails to protect the manicure
And this is the manicure
I hope you liked it

I HATE WHEN PEOPLE QUOTE THESE STATS! (not the 2 you think) - Dreams Around The World - Duration: 7:12.Hey Dan here and in this video I want to share two statistics that drive me
freaking nuts when I hear people talk about them and I think have a really
negative effect on society now if you're new here I'm Dan this is Dreams Around
The World and generally I make videos about becoming your best self and
creating the most awesome life possible in this video I want to talk about two
statistics that I think the way they're shared and the way they're talked about
do hold people back and stop them from creating the most awesome life possible
the first one is this one you've probably heard is 9 out of 10 small
businesses fail this is something that's thrown around a lot often for no real
purpose often to discourage people of starting a business 9 out of 10 fail and
of course the way most people think is like oh well now I know 10 that's gonna
be me and of course entrepreneurs think 1 out of 10 boom this will be easy and
go for it so maybe it isn't that bad but here's
the problem with that stat um what drives me nuts about it is those sort of
statistics are just looking at an overall population right there were this
many businesses started and this many fail and I think the 9 out of 10 is
within like 10 years it's not the first year or something like that
but the thing with that is how many jobs does the average person get so the
person thinking about starting their own business who's saying all nine out of
ten fail how many of their jobs have they done for life probably none of them
if they're thinking about starting their own business right you do a job you
might work it for two or three years and then you change to another job does that
mean you failed at the first job what about relationships what are some sudden
high-note of 10 relationships fail well yeah that's kind of what dating is you
go through a relationship and then you find the best one for you or you get
desperate in your mid-30s and then you settle down and you have your successful
marriage I'm going to talk about marriage in a second by the way then you
have your successful marriage in that is we don't look back and maybe you do say
those were failed relationships but you never say I'm not gonna have a
relationship because 9 out of 10 of them fail that would be stupid and so yeah
probably a lot of businesses who fail but a big part of that is getting in a
business for yourself is a learning curve the same way plane
sport or getting a job and finding the right job for you or finding the right
relationship or person for you is also a learning curve so I really hate that
that statistic is thrown around because I think for a lot of people they look at
it as if 9 out of 10 fail that means 9 out of 10 entrepreneurs fail and never
succeed as an entrepreneur and I think that is probably very untrue I'm sure
that there are entrepreneurs who succeed in 10 out of 10 of their businesses and
there are people who maybe fail in the first one or two and then their third
hits and I know there are people who fail in their first 10 and business
number 11 is are successful in either way looking at the statistics like that
like nine out of ten are failures I think it's a really dangerous way of
doing it now as I said fortunately most entrepreneurs we're a little crazy so we
see a stat like that and they nine out of ten fail either I'll be the one or
all right I'll start 11 businesses boom I'm guaranteed to make it work
the second statistic that's worth thinking about is around marriage though
this varies a lot by country but there's a statistic you hear a lot in North
America that is 50% of marriages fail yes but not 50% of people who get
married end up divorced a lot of those statistics are skewed by people who get
divorced two three four times usually the lawyers who are actually doing the
divorces have the highest divorce rate as it would be but that creates a really
distorted view right the number of first marriages that fail is not 50% it's
lower I don't know what it is similarly and maybe depressing if you're in this
situation if you're going into your third or fourth marriage the odds of
your marriage failing statistically not necessarily for you personally are
higher than someone going into their first marriage because perhaps perhaps
there is some kind of a pattern there now all the statistical stuff aside
another thing that bugs me about this is that it really can discourage people who
would otherwise be hopeless romantics who would jump into marriage of doing so
because they'll look at those numbers and say I can't beat that and I did
another video on this where I was talking about the overall approach to
life and about thinking okay I want to design an incredible life for myself I
want to do things differently than most people so why would marriage not be the
same right but at least for me these sort of statistics always threw me off
or I was like that does not sound appealing 50 percent basically that
means every marriage fails ever and it's a hopeless institution so why am i
spending a video ranting about two of these statistics because I'd like to
encourage you to think more about the statistics you hear there's a lot of
other ones out there that I won't bring up because I don't need those kind of
debates in my comments that are often misquoted and used to either hold people
back or start fights or make points and the truth is statistics tend to be quite
complicated especially if you haven't studied statistical analysis or
something like that but fortunately you do get forced to study in most
first-year psychology programs but whether you are an emotional person or a
highly logical person there's no way that the statistics you hear don't
change your opinions and form attitudes towards things in life whether it is
starting your own business or travel or marriage and I think it's really really
important to be aware of that and start to filter the things coming in one way
to filter statistics from stopping them from really penetrating your brain and
influencing you too much is to actually break them down and get into the details
like why is this the case and analyze what is actually going on but behind the
statistics another thing you can do is look for positive examples that disprove
the rule say 80% of marriages fail say that was true but you really wanted to
get married you know what I would spend my time on finding those 20% people who
have a happy good marriage okay maybe that's 10 percent of marriages that stay
so finding that 10 percent and learn from them and find out what they did to
make it work don't look at that 80 percent and say I can't do it look at
the small group that's making it work and then learn from them and then just
decide that is how my life is going to be so there's definitely value in big
picture in looking at statistics or numbers over countries or over the world
to understand how things work but please please don't let them decide for you
what's possible for your own life start with what you really want and then work
backwards and figure out how to do it and if you take that approach it almost
guarantee you're going to have a a lot higher chance of succeeding than
whatever those kind of government numbers will tell you thank you for
watching if you're new to the channel consider subscribing and if you do
subscribe hit that Bell so you're notified of new videos
catch you in another video soon bye and so I hate that that statistic is
you
