Waching daily Oct 10 2018

- Hey, for those who are just tuning in,

my name is Russell Brunson and today I'm gonna be

answering a whole bunch of different questions

on marketing and sales and growing your company

and funnels and traffic and making money

and a whole bunch of stuff in between.

But today's question is one of my favorites.

In fact, it might cause a little bit of a rant.

The question is, websites versus funnels.

And the questions says, so maybe I'm crazy,

but I don't see a difference between

a website and a sales funnel.

Why do I need a sales funnel?

Oh, thank you for asking that question.

I'm gonna try to doodle this kinda fast

so you guys don't miss any of it.

So this is a traditional website, okay?

You come right here, you got your website,

I'm sure you guys have seen this a billion times.

Website.

And on top you've got your logo and there's like

a navigation menu, there's a secondary menu,

then right here if they click on any of these

it drops down a sub-menu with like 20 different options.

You click here there's like 20 more options.

Then there's like a section here and a section here

and a section here and a section here and then,

every section they click takes them somewhere else.

And then it takes 'em to the secondary

page and the third page and they,

on page like 92 there's like a place

where we ask for money, right?

I'll make it green.

This is where we finally ask for money.

That's a traditional website.

What does that look like to you?

Let's you go and you give Mr. Zuckerberg some money

on Facebook, he drives a whole bunch of people here.

It's literally like, let's say you have a store,

and in front of the store you had a whole bunch

of people blocking people from coming into the front door,

you're like, ah, ah, but wait,

hold on, do you wanna know about us?

Wait, you wanna contact us?

Wait, do you want my about page?

Wait, do you wanna see my product page?

What do you wanna see, and you're like

blocking them with all of these links.

They're coming here to get to the link right here,

let's say this is like the money link where they're

gonna give you money because of this page right here.

But they gotta pass one, two, three, four, five,

six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20,

there's like 20 or 30 things they have to navigate

around to get to the spot where you actually want,

where they ask you do something to do give

you money or to become a lead or whatever it is.

That is your traditional website.

They drive me nuts, though, right?

There's either that or the other variation.

If you're looking at these in the real world

one of 'em is like, here's your storefront,

and you've got like armed guards out front

blocking people from coming through the door.

So there's your website, that's what a lot of

you guys are doing if you got a tradiational website.

You're like, don't come in, please, I want to confuse you.

The number one rule of direct response marketing

is a confused mind will always say no.

So you are blocking them and confusing them,

they're like, ah, I don't know what to do,

and they just leave.

Or the second option is you do more like

a traditional e-commerce store or Amazon.

And you don't have these guys blocking 'em,

but you're like, welcome to my store,

and they walk in there's a billion things and they

walk in they're like, I don't know what to do.

Or they walk, have you guys ever walked in the library?

I wanna learn how to tie my shoe.

You walk in the library and there's like eight

levels like 800 books, you're just like,

um, I don't know what to do, and you walk out.

I'm sure the answer's somewhere in there,

I just don't know what it is.

That's what most people are doing with a website.

They're blocking everything.

So now take that, let's shift that to a funnel.

So what is a funnel?

Here is a funnel.

So a funnel is like imagine this person,

here's the dude right here coming to your world,

he comes into your store.

Instead of blocking him or ignoring him,

you meet him at the front door and you're like,

hey, what's your name?

They're like, oh, my name is Russell.

Oh Russell, great to meet you.

I want to make sure you have the best experience possible

so step number one, what are you actually looking for?

I'm like, oh, I'm going on a camping trip this weekend.

Cool, so what do you want?

I'm like, I'm actually looking for a tent.

He's like, oh, you want a tent, okay.

And the guy grabs me over here

and takes me over to the tents.

He's like, here is the tent section, Russell.

I'm like, oh, sweet, the tent is awesome.

Thank you so much for the tent.

And they're like, what else do you need

on this trip you're going on?

I'm like, well, I'm gonna go backpacking with my kids.

Well, do you have a backpack?

No.

Oh, well, you should get a backpack.

And the dude walks me over here and I get a backpack.

And he takes me through a customized

sales process specifically for me.

That's what a funnel is.

When I drive somebody from Facebook and they come

to a page, page number one is a very simple like

usually there's one thing, right?

A confused mind always says no,

so maybe I'm saying, hey, welcome to my landing page.

In fact, if you go to ClickFunnels.com

right now you'll notice it's like, hey,

a lot of people use ClickFunnels.

Tell me kind of business you're in and I'll

tell you exactly what type of funnel you need.

And so I have this like survey here.

They tell me exactly what kind of funnel they have.

Based on that I have 10 different pages I take them to.

Just like if this dude, if I walked in and I was like,

hey, I run a retail location, how do I use funnels?

He wouldn't walk me over to some other weird section,

he'd take me exactly where it is.

So on page one of funnels it's very simple.

I ask who they are, what they want.

I take 'em specifically to a page

that gets 'em exactly what they want.

And then from there, I take 'em to the next page

and I'm able to walk them through a

very simple sales process where they only see

one thing at a time, I take 'em through this process,

and what happens is two things.

Number one, this customer that you just paid for

to get to your website or to your funnel,

because he now has a customized experience,

he ends up being really happy, like a lot happier, right?

He's like, wow, these guys treated me really, really well.

They didn't just like slam me into a brick wall

and hope I could figure my way out.

They didn't block me and confuse me.

They took me through a very systematic sales

process so I understood exactly what I was doing.

So your customer becomes really happy.

The second thing is, you, as the shop owner,

you can come down here,

you become more happy because guess what happens?

They end up paying you more money.

So what happens is the customer has a better experience,

you as the owner of the funnel makes more

money so you have a better experience.

Both people win.

My definition of business is when both people

leave fee knowing that they got a better deal.

And that's what a funnel is.

If you hate your customers,

you should definitely keep using a website.

Keep blocking them.

Confusing them to make sure they don't know what to do.

Or, if you want to like change their lives,

then build a funnel and take them a systematic

sales process to get 'em exactly what they want,

to have the best experience possible,

and you make the most money

possible from every single person.

There you go.

That's the difference between a website and a funnel.

I hope you guys liked that rant (laughs).

Thank you so much for watching.

Every single week we publish new secrets just like this,

so make sure you subscribe so you don't miss any of 'em.

I would like to congratulate you on your victory.

And I also want to congratulate your father on having such a great son and on raising such a good fighter.

He was not an easygoing child; it was hard dealing with him when he was a child, but then he grew.

If he had been easygoing, he probably would not have become such a great fighter.

Let me congratulate you again and wish you success in the bouts to come.

There is a lot of talk, for sure.

I saw the way they received you at home.

Of course, this was a commercial event, but it is still sport, and I must agree with those who believe that certain rules should be adhered to, and not just the written rules but the general rules of morality in sport.

I hope everyone will follow these rules in this sport, as well.

Yes, you were not performing as part of a team, you performed as an individual, not even representing a country.

You performed as an individual, but, you are a Russian citizen.

We are not indifferent to how our citizens are treated wherever they are and whatever they do.

This is why we closely follow everything, and we were definitely very concerned about you.

And I will ask your dad not discipline you too severely because you achieved your main goal: you won the fight, and you did it with dignity and convincingly.

To conclude, I would like to express hope that the ideals of sport will prevail, will prevail over money, advertising (I am referring to your rival's team, of course),

and that inroads will ultimately be found to normal communication, friendship between competitors, sport friendships – these are the goals sport is dedicated to and promotes – and you will build up good and kind-natured relations with your rivals, relations of rivalry, yet good-natured, human ones.

Anyway, nobody can reproach you for not striving for this.

I want to express hope that this will also be appreciated by your rivals, your adversaries, and that everything will be settled in a personal and athletic way.

I will finish as I started – I want to wish you success in the future.

Thank you.

I also hope they will appreciate not only my jumping out of the ring but also my performance.

So far, they are only talking about my jumping out of the ring even though my performance was not bad, and unlike his [Connor McGregor's] coming in and showing disrespect for my side, my parents, my country, I behaved with dignity.

I did not hold back either, of course, because the provocations continued through the fight.

I hope the hearing that is now underway will rule in our favour.

What can I say in this regard?

You and I understand that this was done on purpose – and I am sure your father also understands this – to make you lose control, to get some advantage during the fight.

I see us as one big family in our country.

And we must avoid extremes; we must not allow this behaviour no matter what happens.

We have a very big and diverse family, and anything can happen in a family, but we never permit ourselves to go beyond certain limits.

Hello!

Welcome back to the newly revamped and versatile Cloth Map HQ.

We got maps, lights, teleprompters.

And I just put together this new file storage device, since the other one got full.

Actually, UNTIL I got this new one up and running, all my footage from Mongolia was

just sitting precariously on SD cards.

But now it's all good, and it's making the work on the massive Balkans project much

easier.

Speaking of projects, I've been thinking of ways to have more content go up while I'm

working on the larger feature videos.

To accomplish that, I figured I could still squeeze in some more international shooting in

2018.

So, part of the reason Cloth Map exists is to inspire others to travel.

By showing other countries and cultures from the games angle, my hope is that parts of

the world that may have seemed intimidating feel a little more approachable and familiar.

The same goes for the actual traveling, in itself.

International travel can be kind of daunting if you've never done it before, and a large

part of what I wanted to do with Cloth Map from the beginning was really show the nuts

and bolts of how it's done.

I have found it tough, though, to integrate that aspect of it while also creating these

in-depth features.

I kind of have to decide: do I want to focus on the subject, or do I want to do more of

a behind-the-scenes thing?

So this next trip will be all about how I travel, from actually booking the flights, to

deciding where I stay in a city I know nothing about, to how I deal with languages and cultural

differences, etc.

So if there's something you'd like me to show or talk about, let me know, either

on Patreon, the YouTube comments, Twitter, whatever, and I'll do my best to show it on camera.

So where are we going?

To save money, I'll be piggybacking off of a personal trip I'm taking to go see

my sister who's living in London, so that is a huge transatlantic airfare that Cloth Map

isn't paying.

But there's one more angle to this.

In addition to the travel-tips side of things, I want to see you guys!

I'll be making short stops in Oslo, Amsterdam, and London, and am planning meetups on these

dates, so come say hi!

But it's not all shooting and editing around here!

If you're seeing this video, that means the Cloth Map store is live!

By request, we now have shirts, with this awesome, exploded diagram take on the Cloth

Map logo created by Wayne Fan, who also designed the original logo.

The shirts come in two colors, blue and red, and men's and women's cuts.

But the other thing I'm super excited about, especially with how it came out, is this bad

boy, a drawstring bag.

Doesn't sound like much but I have found these things to be super useful when traveling.

It's my go-to day pack, so I throw in water bottles, batteries, snacks, keys, you know,

whatever, when I'm out and about during the day.

Plus it's just fabric, so you can just wad it up and stuff it into your luggage.

Really easy to pack.

I think it's a strong start to the store, although I have plans to add even more things.

It has taken a little while to figure out, like, tax stuff and which shirt fabric

I like best, and to make sure the printing process looks good and everything. I don't want

to sell you guys low-quality stuff, after all.

But it all seems to be working, so check it out!

store.clothmap.co or click the link in the YouTube description.

And one more thing, all Patrons, regardless of level, get 15% off everything in the store this month,

and then 10% off thereafter, for as long as you are a Patron.

A little thank you for making Cloth Map possible.

Alright!

Lots going on.

I know it may not feel like it with so few videos going up on YouTube recently, but rest

assured I am doing my best to take the footage I have and make something that people

who support me will be proud of.

So, I'll see you soon!

Top 7 MCL Sprain Treatments - Ask Doctor Jo - Duration: 13:03.

hey everybody it's doctor Jo and Remy, and today we're gonna show you my top 7

treatments for an MCL sprain. so let's get started. So the MCL are the medial

So the MCL, or the medial

ligament is very similar in the way that the ACL is that it stabilizes the knee.

so if you have a sprain, there's many different grades of the sprain. so make

sure to talk to your doctor or physical therapist about, when can I start

exercising? do I need surgery? can I treat it without surgery? so these are

questions you have to ask somebody who's treating you in person. so the first

treatment is going to be knee props. so just use like a foam roll, or you can

roll up a towel, you want it to be so your knee's kind of propped up off of the

floor. that's why it's called a knee prop. if you're sitting in a chair you can

prop it up on a stool or another chair. and this one is really just trying to

get that full extension of the knee. when you have that sprain on that inside of

that knee, that medial side, a lot of times your knee will kind of lock up in

a bent position. so you really want to get that full motion back because when

you're walking, if you don't have that full knee extension then that's going to

cause a whole lot of other problems. so all you're really doing for this is

you're just propping your leg up and letting it relax. so if you're here, if

that's as far as it will go, just try and relax your body for a couple minutes and

eventually it should start straightening out a little bit. you don't want it to be

SuperDuper painful the whole time you're doing it. if it's a little uncomfortable,

some tension, some pressure, that's okay that's what you want, but don't feel like

you have to push on it. eventually you can put some weights like above your

thigh, but for now just do the prop just so you're starting to get some more of

that motion in there. so again you can just start off I maybe start with 30

seconds to a minute, but then you can move up to three to five minutes just

kind of propping it up and letting everything stretch out. the next one is

going to be a heel slide. so a heel slide is exactly how it sounds. so again we're

still working on motion here, this is going to start strengthening the

hamstrings a little bit which go up underneath

the knee and are really important to help stabilize that knee when that medial

ligament isn't working how it's supposed to. I like keeping the other side propped up

just cuz I feel like it gives you some stability and some push to bring the

other side up. some people keep it down, that's fine, but I like it up because

then that also takes a little pressure off of your back, and if you've had your

knee sprain for a couple days you're not walking quite right, your back might

start hurting you too. so make sure that you get some pressure off of that. so

with the heel slide, all you're doing is just sliding it up as far as you

comfortably can. sometimes that bending is really tight too, so you might not

even be able to get here. you might only be to here, and that's fine. just go till

you feel that pressure, hold it for about three to five seconds, and then come back

down. so again just start off with maybe five or ten of these, getting that

stretch and holding it, and then you can do two sets of those a couple times

throughout the day. you know really try and keep that flexibility in that

mobility in the knee, and that will help take some of that pain out of there as

well. so the next one is to start getting some strengthening back in the knee and

the hip area in general. the the next exercise is going to be a clam shell

exercise. I like to do this one even though it's working the outer side, you

really want to get those muscles strengthened around the knee and

sometimes if you start off right away on the inside where that sprain is, it's

really painful. so I like to start on the outside. clam shells are things that look

really easy, but if you do it correctly, it's actually pretty hard. you want your

hips to be perpendicular to the floor. now if you're having problems getting

down onto the floor, up from the floor, you can do this in your bed or on a

couch. you don't have to do it on the floor. make sure you're relaxing your

head and getting in a comfortable position. I'm just kind of propping up so

I can talk to you, but the important part is to keep those hips perpendicular. if

you're rolling back once you start doing the exercise, you're not getting those

muscles working that you want to. your feet are gonna stay together, and then

you're just going to take the top leg, the one that you're working and bring it

up. so you don't have to go high because once I started going higher, I'm

gonna start wanting to roll back, and you don't want to do that. you want to pretty

much keep those hips where they are the whole time and just move that knee.

so again if you're doing it right, the first three or four might feel easy, but

once you get to seven, eight, nine, ten, it might be a little bit tougher. so make

sure you take a break in between maybe start off with two sets of ten. if you

can get to 20-25 and there's no problems, then you can add a resistive band. and

make sure that you start off with the lightest one because again these are

tougher than they look. so you want to make sure that you're not

overdoing it. so it would be the same concept and now you have that resistance

to come up and then just nice and slow back down. so again starting back over

about ten two sets of ten and then working up from there. so then the next

set of exercises are is just going to be a simple four way hip. I usually like

starting the four way up lying down and then you can progress to standing up, but

I'm just going to show you the lying down one for now. and four way hip is

kind of exactly how it sounds, you're just doing a hip movement four different

ways. so the first one is just a straight leg raise. so again just kind of like it

sounds. I like keeping that knee propped up to protect the back and to give you a

target. so you're going to pull your toes up, that's going to help lock out that

leg. keep it nice and straight and slow and controlled. you're just going to lift

it up to about the other side. so you're not kicking all the way up. if you can't

get all the way up to there, that's okay, but just slowly come back down

trying to keep those muscles nice and tight the whole time while you're doing

it. this is a slow thing. if you're going fast and using momentum, you're not

really working those muscles. so again maybe just one set of ten for these

because we're gonna go all the way around. so just so I can stay in front of

the camera looking at you while I'm talking, I'm gonna then change to this

side, but you would then just turn all the way around doing the same leg all

the way through. so now I'm gonna go on to my side and so now I'm working this

leg. so the bottom one can be bent and you

want to keep your whole body in a pretty much straight line at your hips. pull

your toes up tight and turn your foot in. so you're leading with your heel for

this exercise, and this time when you lift up go slightly back behind you. if

you're lifting and you're bringing your toes up like this, you're doing a

completely different exercise, and you're not working the muscles you need to work.

so make sure you're lifting with that heel and you're going slightly back

behind you. you should kind of feel it in this area in your gluts a little bit. if

you're feeling it in the front of the thigh, again you're not quite doing it

how you're supposed to be doing it. so again maybe just one set of ten for

those. then you're gonna roll over onto your stomach and now you're just gonna

lift your leg up, going into hip extension. same kind of thing, you really

want to try and lock out your leg, so if you want to lie on the couch or maybe a

bed for this one so you can have your foot hanging off sometimes that's

actually a little more comfortable. again lie all the way down if you need to. only

prop up if it doesn't hurt. and then this one's a little harder to keep your leg

straight, but still try and keep it as straight as you can, and just lift it up.

it's not gonna go as high because I don't want you to do this. don't turn

your whole body. you're just lifting that leg. so if it

doesn't go very high, if that knee bends just a little bit, that's okay, but if

you're going like that, that's definitely very different. so then you're gonna roll

again and now the leg you're gonna exercise it's going to be on the floor,

or on your bed. with the top leg, now it could either go in the front or it can

go in the back, whichever is more comfortable for you. I usually find that

the one going in the back is just a little bit more comfortable for me. still

the same thing, you want to be pretty much in a straight line for this one.

this is another one where that leg's not gonna go super high, but you still want

to pull those toes up to help lock out those legs. now this one might be pretty

painful because you're getting that MCL right there is putting a lot of pressure

because as you lift your legs gonna kind of go like that, so if this one's really

uncomfortable, if there's pain going into it, hold off on this one. and then

start working on it later once you feel a little bit better. but all you're doing

is just lifting that leg up, and then slowly coming back down. so you see, I'm

not lifting it up very high, but I'm also not turning my whole body to lift it up.

I'm still trying to keep the hips pretty perpendicular, whole body in a straight

line, and just lifting up with my toes pulled up. so again just about 10 of

those. so the rest of them are gonna be standing up. so now we're gonna do a

hamstring curl. with hamstring curls, the biggest thing that you want to remember

is the top part of your leg needs to stay down or slightly back. sometimes

when people come into a curl especially when they're hurting, they come up like

this. but then again that's not really working what I want you to work. that's

taking out the quad the front, not really working the hamstring in the back. so

really kicking back this way, so I get a little stretch in the front and that

quad area. I'm working those hamstrings in the back, so again if you're doing

this, that's not really the exercise that we're looking for here. so really kicking

back going as high as you comfortably can. sometimes with hamstring curls,

especially if you have an injury, those hamstrings tend to want to cramp up

pretty quickly. so the first couple times I wouldn't go as high as you feel like

you can and then kind of work your way up to it. so again just starting off with

ten, two sets of ten, a couple times a day and then kind of work your way up from

there. so then the next one is just going to be a single leg balance. balancing is

really great especially when you have some stability issues in your knee. once

that MCL is sprained or injured, your knee becomes unstable. you know a lot of

times when people say they walk it feels like it's going to give out on them or

it locks up because it's not doing what it's supposed to. so balancing really

helps with that stability in the knee, but it might be kind of painful the

first couple times you try it. so make sure that you hold on to something. you

can do counter top, you can do nice sturdy chair, you can do something you

know somebody in front of you holding on, just so you have that support. but really

try and get that balance. squeeze those glutes to help get that

balance in there, and once you feel like you're pretty stable here and that knee's

not going to give out on you, then just try holding on with one hand,

and then a couple fingers, and then after that try balancing without holding on at

all. again if you really kind of squeeze those glutes muscles in and kind of

tighten them up, that helps with the balance and that helps with that general

strengthening as well. so that's really good to do. I just start off with maybe

10 seconds and then work your way up to maybe a minute, but really make sure that

knee feels stable before you start letting go of anything.

and so the last one is just going to be mini side squats. and again this is

starting to work the inside and outside of that knee. so if these are painful, go

ahead and hold off on them. work on something else and then come back around

to them later when you feel a little bit stronger. so it's gonna be the same

concept with any kind of squat. you really want to stick your bottom back. so

your knees stay behind your toes. you want your weight to be equal on your

toes and your heels. so I'm not up on my toes, I'm not back on my heels.

everything's kind of flat on the feet. and then I'm sticking my booty back. I'm

keeping my back straight, bending at the hips. so with a mini squat, you're really

just gonna go down a little bit, but you're just gonna kind of step out and

then come back in. so again I'm not going very far. eventually if this feels okay,

you can kind of go out a little bit further but make sure you're doing both

sides. if you just want to go three one way, three come back the other way, you

can do that. or if you just want to, you know step out, come up, step out, you can

do that, but make sure the technique is right and only go down to comfort. if

you're feeling pain, then you can even just do this. you don't have to go down

very far at all. just work your way up to it. so those are my top seven treatments
