Miami Heat just signed Erik Spoelstra a contract Extension With The Miami Heat Organization

For Millions ! Watch the VIDEO to get to know more !!!

------------------ Imagine if NBA stars signed contract extensions

the way NBA coaches do, as in, below the radar and with zero fanfare.

Right.

The league wouldn't hear of it.

What, concede the July sports landscape to baseball?

But that's how it apparently went in Miami, where coach Erik Spoelstra had his Heat contract

extended without clamor or press release.

The team confirmed Friday that Spoelstra – in his ninth season and already the NBA's second-longest

tenured coach behind San Antonio's Gregg Popovich – would continue in his current

position for the foreseeable future.

Issuing a statement before the Heat's game at Boston, Spoelstra expressed gratitude to

franchise owner Micky Arison and president Pat Riley for the opportunity and their support.

"I would like to thank the Arisons and Pat for their continued confidence in me and my

staff and are humbled in their trust in me as head coach," Spoelstra said.

"It has been an incredible 22 years being part of the Miami Heat family and we will

look to continue our goal of winning NBA championships."

Spoelstra, 46, benefitted from, but also tackled the challenge of, Miami's Big Three era

from 2010-2014 when all-NBA forwards LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined All-Star guard

Dwyane Wade in south Florida.

Balancing the strong games and personalities of those players, Spoelstra helped the Heat

play in four consecutive NBA Finals and win championships in 2012 and 2013.

With James going back to Cleveland in 2014, Bosh being sidelined by blood-clot issues

and Wade signing with Chicago this summer, the Heat and Spoelstra have faced adversity.

Their loss to the Celtics Friday dropped them to 10-24, third-worst record in the Eastern

Conference, and a skid of seven defeats in their past eight games.

Dealing with the egos of stars is one way for a coach to earn his salary.

Navigating the Heat's current tough times is another.

Terms of Spoelstra's contract extension were not released.

35 Russian diplomats leave U.S. after Obama expulsion order - Duration: 0:43.

Thirty-five Russian diplomats who were expelled by President Obama have left the United States.

The U.S. State Department confirmed on Sunday that a plane carrying 96 people, including

the relatives of the diplomats, took off from Washington.

Last week, Obama ordered the expulsion of the diplomats and imposed sanctions on two

Russian intelligence agencies over allegations of hacking aimed at interfering in the U.S.

presidential election.

Russian President Vladimir Putin declined to take immediate retaliatory action, a move

interpreted as waiting for President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration to rebuild the

strained ties between the two countries.

Kim Jong-un says regime in final stages of testing ICBM - Duration: 2:22.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has warned the world... that his regime is in the final

stages of test launching an inter-continental ballistic missile.

In his New Year's speech,... he also vowed that North Korea will push on with its nuclear

weapons development.

For more on his message,... Connie Kim reports.

North Korea has claimed to be in the final stages of developing a long-range ballistic

missile, boasting of its strengthened nuclear deterrent.

Appearing on Pyongyang's official Korean Central Television at 12 o'clock noon North Korea

time, leader Kim Jong-un said the regime has successfully carried out its first hydrogen

bomb test, a nuclear warhead explosion test and that it is in the final stages of test-launching

an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Calling the ruling Workers' Party Congress in May a success, Kim said Pyongyang soared

into the ranks of the world's nuclear powers last year and is now a military power in Asia

untouchable by even the strongest enemy.

While Kim Jong-un did not directly mention U.S. president-elect Donald Trump in his address,

there is speculation the North Korean leader sent a message to the incoming administration

that its long-range ballistic missile could soon be able reach the continental U.S.

The North has long aimed to be able to send such a missile topped with a nuclear warhead

all the way to the U.S. mainland.

Kim also directly mentioned South Korean President Park Geun-hye by name, calling her a force

against unification.

While the North Korean leader ruled out the possibility of talks with President Park,

Kim said he is willing to gladly join hands with anyone who truly wants to discuss mending

inter-Korean ties.

Towards the end of his 28-minute speech, the young leader said he blames himself for his

shortcomings in running the regime and pledged to do more for the people in the new year.

Experts say such a rare statement of contrition is an attempt to display affection for the

people and shore up his public support.

North Korea's annual New Year's speech is closely watched for clues about the reclusive

regime's intentions.

But, Seoul's unification ministry condemned Pyongyang's plans to bolster its preemptive

strike capabilities and reaffirmed that the North must walk the path of denuclearization

if it truly wants to improve the two Koreas' ties.

Exports drop two years in a row for first time in 58 years - Duration: 2:13.

Bad news on the trade front as newly released figures show Korea's annual exports have dropped

for two years in a row now.

Shipments in 2016 were eroded by various internal and external factors.

However, some are optimistic the figures will turn around in 2017.

Kim Jung-soo with the details.

Data from Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy shows the country's total exports

for 2016 amounted to 495 and a half billion U.S. dollars, which is five-point-nine percent

less than 2015.

This marks the first first time in 58 years that Korea's exports have fallen for two years

straight -- in 2015 they also dropped by 8 percent on year.

Meanwhile, imports for the year also dropped by seven-point-one percent, coming to a total

of 405-point-7 billion dollars.

As a result, the trade surplus for 2016 amounted to 89.8 billion dollars, which is slightly

less than the 90.3 billion recorded in 2015.

Looking more closely at exports, all major items -- except for personal computers -- posted

negative growth in 2016, hit hard by the global economic downturn.

Shipments of semiconductors dropped by 1.3 percent... wireless devices, including mobile

phones, fell 9.1 percent, while exports of automobiles plunged 12-and-a-half percent.

However, the ministry's report offers a glimmer of hope -- it shows monthly exports posted

on-year growth in positive territory for the last two months of 2016, the first time in

over two years.

Exports for November grew 2-and-a-half percent on year, and the figure for December was up

6.4 percent.

Experts attribute this late surge to recovering demand and rising crude oil prices.

However, analysts also caution that Korea must still deal with the possibility of more

trade protectionism and economic restructuring in 2017 by economic superpowers like China

and the U.S.

My 2017 Reading Goals - Duration: 5:37.

Hey guys, and welcome to today's video

which is going to be about my 2017

reading goals it is officially the new year

it's after midnight so hopefully

everyone had an amazing new years.

Let's get into my reading goals for the

year, I'm gonna do a separate video

probably from our writing goals the year

i mentioned briefly in one of my Let's Write

uploads. So let's get right into my

reading goals. I actually don't

really have too many goals last year I really

didn't set any goals for myself either

have a little more this year than I did last

year. Last year I really didn't set any goals for

myself except the goodreads goal and I

didn't end up surpassed my goodreads goal

twice, I started 60 books past that 70

and past 80 which I read 81 books in 2016.

And that was really good and while i

read a lot of books and I enjoyed a lot

of books and i'll end up only on dislike

about 15 total books out of all

eighty books, so that's really good number

but one there's nothing going to focus

on this year is I'm not gonna do a

goodreads goal is it as like one book type

of thing like a lot to see a lot of

people doing it because I've found that

my mindset last year was really about

reading books in order to complete the

goal and to get the numbers up there. And

I don't focus on that like 1 of my goals this

year is the reading more quality books

or quantity of books. I found myself

last year reaching for smaller books

because I knew that I can't read them

within a span one week. I went for books that

were about three hundred the average about

328 book, because I knew that I could

read that book within the weeks and I

need to complete my goal and I really don't

want to have that mindset in 2017. I want

to read a book because it sounds

interesting and not because, "hey it has

it sounds okay and has a good amount of

page", that I can finish a week and that mindset

that I had to keep reading a lot of

books I can't talk about the new fresh

books every kind of video type of thing

and this year I don't want to do that I want to

focus on the books that sounds to me

that what size of our that really all

leads into my other reason I was well

but one of our goals this year's read

more classic books. I want to read a lot

Classics

that is the one genre that I very

very much lack in and one of the books is

war and peace I want read war and peace in the year

2017 and that book like 1500 pages so

that's is like my thing to break

down the, the.... I can't this of the right word for

is but to break down the hold I put

myself for big books and to kinda just

focus more on the story sounds

interesting and I want to be the moment

let's read that book whether it's

300 pages, 500 pages, 600 plus

pages i want to read that book. So that

is going to be one of my goal is to have more quality

over quantity and then more classic

books and besides that there's one thing

that and it's not really a reading goal

is more of a personal thing for me and

that is i'm going to try and stop

listening to the hype train that goes on

here booktube and it's going to be a

struggle you're probably see me fall and

failed from very early on the new book

comes out but I've kinda burned a few

times by books back up light but i

really like popular booktubers and while

it's good that the books coming out

there especially the spot like a new

author and stuff like that a lot of hype

get into it I find that a lot of times I

get burned by it because all these other

people say this so amazing so good it's

best book that came out that month whatever

they're saying. I pick

it up and like it's an average book it's

an average YA book that's out whatever book

it is and I find myself getting to the

point where i want to stop doing that

and book sounds interesting sales buy it

off of that i know i'm going to love

i'll pick up course like that but we're

kind of hold myself back two three four

month period after the hype can kind of

past, like wave the train on as it

goes

and just like sit inside lifestyle and

just waiting as it goes but i wanna

kinda just wait and see more opinions on

the book first read more reviews on the

book especially if it's by a new author

that I've ever heard of, or maybe a

new debuting author

or just get a little more time and to

see that way I'm not burned as much by

the hype kind of dies down and dip into

the book and be like ok let me go in

with open mind now that i know that

there is positive things that can be

negative things about this book and just

can't go a lot more neutral mindset and

another thing i would try to pick up

more in this year's kind more critical

reading I've been doing a lot more

critical reading in the last few months

of the year i found myself kind of

finding the books that I really

gravitate towards and kind of the

writing style that really gravitate

towards and I want to come to keep

doing that more cause that's how you can

grow as a reader it can be more critical

not to the point where you don't enjoy

reading anymore which the point where

you just kind of you're more

aware of what you're like in a book and

that's what I'm going to try focusing on

in 2017. So that is all my goal it's

going to be very quick video that's my

goals for 2017. If you want you let me

know down below but some of your goals

are for the new year. If like this video

please give a thumbs up hit the little

more books videos and writing videos in

this year and until next time amazing

day whereever you are in the world i'll see

you guys in my next video.

5 Ways-to Re-engage Your Curiosity - Duration: 2:37.

This is Melanie Fine of Rocket Girls.com, where we help young women break science's

glass ceiling and rock it in their dream careers.

My best advice for young people interested in pursuing a career in the sciences is to

never lose your curiosity.

Because curiosity, once lost, is difficult to reinvigorate - difficult, but not impossible.

So, if you're curiosity's a little rusty, here are five ways to re-engage with it.

1.

Ask Questions Questions are not just the byproduct of a

curious mind, but also the root of curiosity.

Even if you're not curious, just the act of asking questions builds your curiosity muscle.

Ask questions about anything and everything.

When participating in a conversation, don't be thinking of how to interject or respond,

just listen to the person talking.

Reaching answers or diagnoses too quickly dampens the inquiry process.

2.

Read Read voraciously.

Read up on all kinds of subjects.

Read different periodicals.

Expand your world by reading periodicals you normally wouldn't read.

Consume this information either in print, digital or video/audio form.

The more you learn, the more you want to know.

It also makes you a far more interesting person to be around.

3.

Don't Judge When we judge people and situations, we reach

conclusions which cloud our experiences.

Watch what happens around you; experience it.

Don't judge it.

4.

Engage an Expert Engaging with an expert in her/his field can

give you a deeper experience into things you probably didn't even know existed.

Whether it's a nature walk or a trip to a museum, an expert can teach you how to look

at things in a whole new way.

5.

The fifth one I got from Aly Juma's blog, alyjuma.com (I don't know if I'm pronouncing

it correctly.).

I love this one.

He says to search for mysteries, rather than puzzles.

Why?

Because puzzles have answers, whereas mysteries are the great unknowns of life.

"A mystery never stops inviting inquiry and so it never stops being a source for curiosity,"

Aly Juma.

In other words, mysteries lead you to more questions.

Answers end the inquiry altogether.

Try one or all of these techniques to coax curiosity back into your life.

And be sure to comment to add any of your favorite curiosity-building techniques.

What The F%&* Is Self Care? - Duration: 5:33.

WTF is self care?

Spoiler alert: It is not just bubble baths and nice candles.

If you want to know the nitty-gritty of what it takes to build an

awesome life, stick around.

[intro music]

Hi everyone, I'm Sam.

Welcome to my channel.

This is my very first video and I am super passionate

about self care and all its facets, not just the nice stuff.

So the reason behind that is: I really suck at self care.

So now I'm making a YouTube channel to force myself to practice because it's really important

for life in general.

But, particularly, my life.

It's really important to me because I have struggled in the

past with mental health issues like depression.

After my daughter was born, I had really, really

severe Post Natal Depression and self care is one of the things that helped pull me through

it.

Also, medication.

Very important for mental health issues but we'll talk about that later.

I'm starting this channel and I'm going to document exactly where I am now and I'm going

to do things a little bit at a time to get through.

Because I want an awesome life and I think you deserve an

awesome life too.

And I know that one of the things that stuck out for me when I was looking for help was

all the self care stuff was really about what it takes,

like nice baths and taking care of yourself and curling up on

the couch and watching your favourite videos and stuff.

And I'm not saying that that's not really important, because it is, but the problem

is that when you have depression or anxiety or other mental

health issues that really impact your enjoyment of

everyday things, you actually don't enjoy laying around and just doing nothing.

It might be what you need but, for me anyway, it wasn't helpful.

The parts of self care that really helped me were forcing myself to do the things that

I didn't want to do and I still don't.

I joined a gym.

I went three times a week for two months and it was

awesome and then I just stopped.

I was making good progress and I just stopped.

So I'm working on creating an awesome life.

That's the goal.

That's all I want to do.

If I can go to my deathbed as some eighty-year-old lady and

my life has been awesome, I will be happy.

I hope you'll join me on my quest for an awesome life and maybe some of the things I'm trying

will help you too.

So we are going to talk about nice things like makeup and movies and books and activities

to do with your families and all sorts of stuff like

that.

But we're also going to talk about making sure your bills are paid on time and going

to work - even though you'd rather get hit by a car than

go to work.

Stuff like that.

I think it's really important, well, mainly because somedays I definitely don't want to

go to work.

So the nice parts of self care are really great but I really, honestly believe that

it's doing the difficult things - the difficult parts of self care

- that's going to change your whole life.

I hope that the information that I'm gleaming from the internet and from therapy and all

sorts of stuff like that is actually going to be useful

but, here's the thing: I'm just one person and I'm also coming from

a position of privilege in our society.

I'm white, I'm straight appearing - I married a guy - you know, I live in Australia.

It's just, that's the lot I have.

So if the things that I'm saying don't help because of location

or money or anything like that, tell me about it.

Send me an email, my email address is down below, tell me what doesn't work.

Tell me the things that I don't know.

I don't know what it's like to live in another country.

I don't know what it's like to live in India or

South Africa or anywhere other than Australia.

I've only ever lived here so your experiences will be so much more valid than mine will.

Collaborate with me.

I would love to film videos with other people and given that the internet is marvellous

and we can just connect all over the world,

there is no reason why we can't do collaborations and never meet.

I think that's fantastic.

Although, I would love to travel and meet people as well.

That would be great.

I'm going to update videos once a week because I do have work and a baby and things like

that but, eventually, I would love to be able to do

this fulltime.

It would be awesome.

That's one of the goals.

But to do that I have to do hard stuff like go to work when I don't want to.

So, one day at a time, I'm going to make my life awesome.

And I hope that you will stick around and see how that pans out.

If you're interested, consider subscribing.

The button's down below, as you would well know, and I

will catch you in the next video.

Bye! [captions by www.selfcaresam.com]

President Park denies power abuse allegations at New Year's meeting with press - Duration: 2:48.

We start with the fallout from the power abuse scandal rocking the nation...

For the first time since her duties were suspended following the National Assembly's impeachment

motion,...

President Park Geun-hye held a hastily-arranged meeting with reporters on the first day of

2017.

The embattled leader said many of the accusations leveled against her were nothing more than

vicious rumors.

Song Ji-sun has our top story.

Keeping the pledge she made in her last national address -- that she would explain her version

of events at a later date -- President Park invited presidential correspondents inside

Cheong Wa Dae for New Year's greetings.

She apologized to the press for the tough times they've had to go through... and expressed

hope that the nation will recover from the chaos and get back on its feet.

"For me, I pass every day with concern and a grave heart.

With such difficulties and changes in and outside of the country, I hope the nation

can regain its momentum for growth as soon as possible, and that everything returns to

normal so the new year may be a prosperous one."

As for whether her confidante Choi Soon-sil meddled in the Park administration's governance,...

the President dismissed the idea.

She said Choi has been an acquaintance for decades and nothing more,... the President

stressing that she handled state affairs based on her own vision and beliefs.

"As President, I have my own duties and my own judgements.

Someone who is just an acquaintance cannot interfere in or get involved in any of those

areas."

She also rejected all rumors, such as that on the day of the Sewol-ho ferry disaster

she received aesthetic treatments ahead of public appearances that afternoon.

"I was, as is usual, receiving reports on the Sewol-ho ferry disaster, continually following

up on its status, as well as taking care of other business and receiving reports from

the secretaries.

I was working at the residential building because there were no official schedules that

day."

"President Park said she hopes the rumors are cleared once she submits an account of

how she spent day of the Sewol-ho ferry disaster, which her lawyers are documenting as requested

by the Constitutional Court.

She also vowed to cooperate with the ongoing investigation by the independent counsel.

Song Ji-sun, Arirang News."

EU, don't stay stagnant with the success that you had! - Duration: 5:45.

Hello, welcome at this new vlog of Belicons.

Nice that you are watching.

This week my blog and vlog are about dissatisfaction in the European Union.

It strikes me that there are two opposing views on the European Union.

Some people are very pleased with it.

They claim that there is peace for decades now because of it.

And since countries that also want to join the union need to reform before they can become

a member too, it brings a better state of justice in other countries too.

And thus it makes other countries more democratic too.

Other people aren't happy with the European Union at all.

They see all the rules that the union imposes on us without us having any influence on that.

They see that some countries have to pay a lot of money and others just receive a lot of money.

So according to them the European Union is actually very undemocratic.

This has made me think about how to bring these two sides together.

For the European Union will be there for quite some time but it isn't good when many people

are unhappy with it.

For this reason I think it's important to find a way to bridge the gap between proponents

and opponents of the European Union.

And I think that this will become possible when the proponents realize that they shouldn't

stay stagnant with the success that they have until now.

For indeed, it is now very different than about 150 years ago when European countries

wanted to expand their nations and could only for that reason only start a war.

In that era people had to fight to get an own governments.

Now we all live free countries and we don't have to worry that another country suddenly attacks us.

So the European Union indeed is a good initiative.

But even when something is successful at the start, it doesn't mean that it stays that way.

And the proponents need to realize that too.

The European Union isn't perfect.

The conflicts in Eastern-Ukraine and The Crimea came into existence because Ukraine and the

European Union became too close according to Putin.

So the European Union means peace within the union itself, but that doesn't mean that

the European Union cannot be a part of another war or cause another war.

It is also well-known that Greece became a part of the euro zone far too soon and because

of that they got into major problems that are still not resolved.

And also the Brexit referendum shows that the proponents shouldn't be too confident

about the future of this union.

This makes me think about the warehouse chain V&D, or Vroom en Dreesman.

This large warehouse chain got bankrupt a year ago and that was a big surprise to many.

But before the bankruptcy was final, many people already said that they didn't know

why they would buy something at these stores specifically.

But a long time ago this was very different.

My grandmother sometimes tells me the story about when she worked at a fashion house at

the end of the 1940s.

It wasn't going very well with the store and she saw that the V&D had sales that attracted

many customers in that way.

She told this to her boss and he let her create a table with sales too.

And that worked!

At that time the V&D was very progressive and an example to her.

I can imagine that former managers of the V&D stayed stagnant with the success they

had and forgot to stay progressive.

So being successful is a good thing, but being successful once doesn't mean that one will

stay successful.

One should always be alert not to become stagnant.

And that also counts for the European Union.

Even when it is a good thing in many ways, the people are getting more and more dissatisfied

and the European committee should do something about that before there will be many other

referenda in countries that also want to leave the European Union.

If proponents are going to realize this then there will be room to start to listen to one

and another and to make the European Union really democratic and transparent.

Then the inhabitants can become proud again to live in the European Union and really feel

that it adds to their lives.

But at the same time it is important that opponents of the European Union are open to

notice that the union is improving.

Sometimes people are so much against something that they are just angry and interpret everything

that happens negatively.

In that case the proponents can improve many things, but in the end it wouldn't help

when the opponents aren't open to see that things are improving.

And this brings me, just as in my blog, to the importance of taking into account both

facts and feelings.

The proponents have very positive feelings when they think about the European Union.

They believe so strongly in this project that they don't see the facts that there is a

lot of dissatisfaction and that not everything is working out perfectly.

But the opponents are so much against the union that they stay stagnant in their negative

feelings and don't see the positive sides of the European Union and won't notice any improvements.

So if we want to make a success out of the European Union and make the inhabitants satisfied

civilians, then proponents and opponents should first take both facts and feelings seriously.

These are my ideas.

Let me know what you think, on Belicons or on YouTube.

And don't forget to mention your arguments of course.

I'm really curious and I'll see you next week.

Bye!

Gov't take extra precaution against possible AI infection from cats - Duration: 0:59.

Korea is on alert after the avian influenza virus was found in cats.

Twelve people believed to have had contact with the cats are currently under quarantine.

They include the owner and veterinary lab staff involved in retrieving the infected

animals.

The group has been treated with anti-viral drugs and will be monitored for any symptoms

for ten days.

The virus was found in a house cat and a stray cat in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do province.

It's the first case of mammals being infected with AI since a dog was reported to be infected

with it in 2015.

According to an official at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,... outside

of Korea there have been cases of cats being infected with bird flu,... but no precedent

of cats spreading the virus to humans.

Still, the agriculture ministry plans to step up existing measures and prevent wild animals

from entering poultry farms.

Fusion dishes bring Korean food wave to Singapore - Duration: 1:40.

Young chefs from Korea are introducing Singapore to the tastes and styles of Korean cuisine.

They've set up the nation's first pop-up Korean restaurant to serve classic dishes with a

twist.

Park Se-young has the details.

Scallops seasoned with soy sauce are topped with assorted vegetables.

This dish was inspired by "ganjang gejang," or raw crab marinated in soy sauce.

And "sujebi," which is made into soup in Korea, has been transformed into one of eight unique

Korean fusion dishes served recently at the first pop-up Korean restaurant in Singapore.

"As a foreigner, when I see Korean food, it is almost always spicy.

But here, they put in the more fine dining approach.

So they have a little bit of touches here and there from Korea that I think is very

special."

The restaurant was set up by a group of Korean chefs who work at local restaurants.

All of them were still working while preparing for the event, so all-nighters became common.

"Singaporeans are only aware of Korean barbeque and fried chicken, so we wanted to show them

how diverse Korean cuisine really is."

The chefs also found it difficult to get a hold of certain ingredients, so they had them

shipped over from Korea.

But all of their hard work paid off when they won praise from local gourmets who were not

familiar with Korean cuisine.

The young chefs are now hoping to build on the success of their first event, and cook

up more fusion dishes in the coming year.
