Hello everyone today I want to make this
video because I see a lot of people in
Vietnam still cannot speak English so
let me share with you guys my story how
could I improve my English speaking
skills in a very short time I first
started learning English when I was 11
years old but I did not take practicing
seriously until my first year of
university. When I was studying at my
secondary school and also high school I
was just a mediocre student even a
bad English student and I'd never
thought I would learn and speak English as an
international language. When it came to
chatting with some native English
speakers the conversation went really
well. I almost didn't need to think what I
was going to write and i found it
really easy to express myself. But when
it came to spoken english I simply got
stuck, I was simply not fluent and it was
pretty hard to impress exactly what I
mean. My mind went blank and I couldn't
even think of correct words I should
say next. Throughout the years I always
questioned myself why does this happen
to me also what can I do to improve that
I really want to speak English like a
native. I was trying to figure it out
A few months afterwards the answers
suddenly came out of my mind. If I want
something I've never had I've got to do
something I've never done I absolutely
needed a good environment to practice my
English. I found some of my friends and I told
them that we could practice English
together after that we had our first
conversation but then No one were
serious about that they thought that was
a joke then they tried to fool me around
tried to make fun of me and someone
thought that was crazy when you spoke
English with each other in Vietnam and
they said please speak Vietnamese and they
moved on to other topics and they tried to
avoid it. Not in single day passed from
that day I couldn't stop thinking about
my goal: "What do I have to do next to
change my English. Even no one else could
do it for me I had to do it for myself
Keep moving forward I decided to go to
some tourist attraction places in
Hanoi to speak to the foreigner. At the
beginning I was so nervous I couldn't
make the words to come out my mouth even
just only said hello to them I
considered myself a shy person and I
didn't think it would make my spoken
English that bad. My inspiration came
when i first met a couple from America
They took the initiative to talk to me
and treated me lunch.. Then we had a great
conversation, they told me a ton of
story those were very funny and easy
to understand.
They did give me a pep talk what if i
can speak English well I can make foreign
friends have a good job
international trade perhaps maybe I can
study overseas and have a great
adventure in another countries. From that day
onward I tried my best to learn English
especially improving my speaking skills
i know that if i can speak good English
I can travel all over the world I tried to
fix my pronunciation, improve my
vocabulary spend an average of four or
five hours per day to learn English. I saw
a lot of movies, sang a lot of songs, speak
English every single time that I could
even sometimes I talk to myself in the
mirror I was really crazy right?
My English was changed really fast I
couldn't believe that just a year later I
could speak english really easily
and confidently. My fluency was so
different compared to the day I got
started. Never stop learning English
that's what I want to talk to you today
English is not hard that you usually
think. My English was changed so much in
a very short time I can do that so do you@
some people they asked me about how
could I do that the answer is really
simple Practice makes perfect invest
for your English today better late than
never that's everything about my story
