Waching daily Mar 28 2017

Hi, I'm Steve from Bloomington, Indiana, and I guess I found Nerdfighteria in about

2008.

Sometime in the fall a friend of mine said to me, "Hey, there are these two guys on

Youtube that make videos back and forth to each other and they kinda remind me of you,

so I think you would like them."

And it turns out that I did.

I watched every video up until that point over the course of just a couple days and

then I was really inspired to just start making my own content and have conversations about

whatever.

I started out as a vlogger under the username fizzylimon and then I started making a lot

of friends, went to the first VidCon, and I've actually been to every VidCon since

then just because it's such a great social experience for me because these are some of

the best friends that I've made and it's the only chance that I get to see them.

And it's also the reason that after I graduated from university, I went to South Korea because

one of my friends suggested that and it seemed like a good thing.

So I worked there for three years and now I am back at grad school and I'm interested

in musicology, so I started a different channel.

None of that would have happened if it weren't for Nerdfighteria.

So I feel like that's been a really great experience and I'm really grateful for it.

Hi, my name is Katrina Eames.

I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I became a nerdfighter back in 2007 and then again in 2010.

In 2007, I was not thirteen yet, was not old enough to have a Youtube account, when this

great video was featured about a song about a book I wasn't allowed to read called Accio

Deathly Hallows because those were books for grown up kids.

Because I didn't have a Youtube account, I could not subscribe to the person who wrote

the song, and I never found them again...or so I thought!

In 2010, as a high schooler, I got very very into wizard rock in a way that was vaguely

concerning, but also really good because I was finally old enough to read all the books

after illegally sneaking them out of the library for years.

It was not illegal with the library, just my parents.

I did not break any actual laws.

This band, whose name I don't mention anymore because of reasons, did a collaboration with

this guy named Hank Green and I thought it was the best thing ever.

So what I did was I went on to Youtube.com/vlogbrothers.

And there was another on there called How to Clean Your Dishwasher.

It's about 2010 I think at this point.

And I decided, "Wow!

This is great!

I love the oatmeal, I love songs, and I really don't know how to load a dishwasher."

So I logically decided, "You know what?

I have free time on my hands.

I don't need to study for high school.

I'm going to watch every video they've made ever."

And I did.

And have still been successful in doing that on the one channel that is their main thing.

It's been about seven years since I became a Nerdfighter properly in knowing how to continue

to watch their things.

The community has an integral in shaping who I am as a person.

Someone who values research, perhaps sometimes too much, who values empathy and kindness

and compassion and who works for justice in many different areas of my life.

And it has become a place where I have found community and friendship to the point where

a lonely homeschooler decided to go to college, start a Youtube channel, and then travel to

a different state by herself at one point to meet people on the internet, which her

parents said to never ever do.

But these people have become some of my best friends, my greatest inspirations and really

the reason that I am happy to be a person on this planet, in this universe, of the multi-verse.

It's been a really great time being here with everyone and getting to be a part of

this community.

Why you shouldn't judge League of Legends pros based only on their KDA - Duration: 7:09.

KDA ratio is the best-known and most widely-used statistic in League of Legends.

But while it shows us how many fights a player wins, it isn't a good enough stat to stand

alone.

That's because KDA is heavily influenced by deaths, but dying isn't always bad.

To accurately gauge player performance, we need to use stats properly, and that means

making sure we're measuring the right things, with the right context.

Let's dig in with an example: here are the KDA ratios of three NA LCS mid laners, following

Week 8 of the 2017 Spring Split.

Based solely on these numbers, Bjergsen has been the strongest performer by far, while

Froggen has been a little above average and Hai is way out of the running.

But this isn't the whole story, and we'll show you why.

It's time to expand our horizons with some core stats that every aspiring League analyst

should have in their arsenal.

First up, here are some more nuanced measurements around kills and deaths.

Kill participation, or KP, is calculated as a player's kills plus assists, divided by

the team's total kills.

Death share works the same way, but with… deaths.

KP tells us how much a player contributes to their team's fights, while death share

tells us how well the player balances their involvement with survivability.

Quick note: when comparing between players, remember that a higher KP isn't always better,

and a higher death share isn't always worse.

For example, some teams play a more spread-out style that leads to lower KPs across the board,

and some deaths are more worthwhile than others.

KP and death share are useful stats for all roles, but KP is especially meaningful for

measuring the impact of mobile playmaking roles like jungle and support, while death

share is most telling for mid and AD carry positioning, as they're often priority targets

in fights.

Here are the kill participations and death shares for our sample mid laners.

Although Bjergsen has the highest KDA in this group, Froggen actually leads in KP and death

share, showing just how crucial he has been to Echo Fox's success.

Hai has the highest KP on FlyQuest, but his death share is ugly.

This tells us two things: first, he takes too many risks trying to create plays for

his team, and second, he's often targeted by his team's opponents.

It would be great if Hai could tighten up his play and keep his death share under twenty

percent while still leading his team in kill participation.

Next up are two common resource metrics.

Creep score per minute is a player's last hits on minions or neutral monsters, divided

by game length.

Gold share is a player's earned gold divided by the entire team's earned gold, after

removing starting gold and inherent gold generation.

These stats help us understand a player's role on their team: higher resource numbers

should raise our expectations for fight involvement and damage output, while lower resource numbers

suggest a more supportive role.

Bear in mind that CS per minute and gold share are affected by both a team's willingness

to funnel resources into a player and by the player's ability to generate resources for

themselves.

Resources are both distributed and contributed, so context is key.

Here we again see Hai trailing the others, picking up far less farm than Froggen or Bjergsen.

Froggen has a larger gold share than Bjergsen, and Hai has the same gold share despite a

much lower CSPM.

That suggests either that they're both out-earning their teammates in kill gold, or that their

teammates are worse than Bjergsen's at farming.

Hai leads FlyQuest in both kills and farm, so while we can't necessarily praise him

because his numbers are still lower than the average, we can say that his teammates are

letting him down in the side lanes.

As for Froggen, these numbers confirm just how heavy a load he's carrying: his ADC

has the lowest CS per minute in the league at his position, and his top laner is second-to-last.

Compared to Bjergsen, both Hai and Froggen play more central roles for their team, so

we should evaluate them with that in mind.

Now we hit the really fun stuff: damage to champions.

Everyone wants to know how hard their favorite player is carrying, but be extra careful:

damage stats are the most context-heavy numbers in League of Legends.

Damage is very heavily influenced by champion choice and game length: poke champions like

Corki, Jayce, and Varus will always produce high damage totals, and the longer a game

goes, the more the per-minute numbers will get inflated as they level up and buy bigger

items.

When possible, it's best to look at damage per minute, or DPM, and damage share together.

For example, a high DPM with low damage share means the whole team's DPMs are probably inflated

by game length and frequent fighting.

Damage stats are most useful in determining the impact of carry roles like Mid and ADC,

who are often the main damage dealers.

Before we read into the numbers for our mid laners, let's identify potential champion

biases: Hai has played ten games on poke champions, while Froggen and Bjergsen have each put in

six.

We should expect to see a little bit of inflation on Hai's damage output.

Sure enough, look at Hai's numbers: they're way up there!

In fact, Hai and Froggen have the two highest DPM marks in the entire NA LCS.

Hai is definitely carrying his team, and he's doing it with less gold in his pockets than

Froggen, even if his champion pool is boosting his numbers a little.

You may be surprised to see how much lower Bjergsen's damage numbers are, even though

he's played just as many poke champions as Froggen and gets more farm.

Bjergsen gets a little leeway because his team fights less often than Froggen's, but

it's fair to say that Froggen is generating more value from his gold than Bjergsen, as

far as damage goes.

Time to put it all together: we started with a clear tier list based on KDA ratio, with

Bjergsen leading and Hai way behind.

Kill participation and death share brought Froggen closer to Bjergsen's level.

Some resource numbers helped us understand how central Hai and Froggen are to their teams'

success.

Finally, we looked at damage output, where Froggen and Hai both came out looking pretty

good.

Based on all of these stats, Froggen actually looks like one of the best performing mid

laners in North America, while Hai is providing a lot more value than his basement-tier KDA

might suggest.

The journey doesn't end here.

There are more stats to consider, from laning to warding.

And of course, we need to watch the games closely to understand where the numbers are

coming from.

But armed with this information, we can have a better idea of what to look for: Why does

Hai die so often?

Why does Froggen get so much of his team's gold?

Why are Bjergsen's damage numbers so low?

Better focus makes for better analysis.

Introverts and Friendships - Duration: 4:37.

Hello my friends! Kaitlyn here! And have ever had trouble making or keeping friends?

Do you blame it on your introversion?

Let's talk about it!

(INTRO MUSIC)

Being an introvert and making friends, for me at least, has always been a little difficult.

Now it's combination of my introversion (because I enjoy being alone and doing things

alone that others might enjoy doing with friends) and my social anxiety (I don't know how

to act like a normal human in front of other humans most of the time) and my shyness (I

generally don't think people want to interact with me so I don't initiate social interactions ).

And I've got a video that talks about the differences between those 3 more in depth

if you want to know or if you just need a refresher.

So those 3 things combine to give me a unique friendship experience, but there are some

things I've learned over the years being an introvert and trying to make friends that I thought I'd share with you.

First, there's being "adopted" by an extrovert.

I think introverts have different opinions on this, but some of the ways that I've

been forced out, encouraged out of my comfort zone and my little box is by having

extroverts find me and like me and initiate a friendship with me.

I don't ask people to hang out. Very rarely do I do that.

I want to do fun things with people.

But I feel very self-conscious asking.

And a little bit comes from the feeling that if I make the plans then I can't just decide at the last minute,

like "Hey I'm feeling really socially drained and I just can't do this right now."

Which is very common thing for me to do.

Self-care, man!

But having a few extroverted friends, especially ones that know upfront that I'm an introvert

and can't go 100% for long periods of time, means that they get me out of my books

and my art and into the world to experience new things.

Now I know that some introverts are pretty bitter about extroverts. I was for a long time!

But then I started to see how their differences and when they understood mine as well could make my

life more vibrant and fun and filled with new experiences!

I will say though that it does takes time to find the right extroverts to be friends with.

But, I mean, like with anything.

Everything takes time.

There are going to be people--extrovert or not--who don't respect boundaries or your

need for alone time or self-care and really the best thing to do is just try to figure those people out quickly and then back away!

Second, is introvert on introvert friendship.

I love these kinds of friendships.

Although they can be harder to make sometimes.

Either because many introverts try to pretend to be the "perfect

friend" and really sociable and like up for anything and so you don't realize you

could have this friendship with them.

Or because many introverts just don't get outside of their bubble enough to find another

introvert who they fit with.

BUT this is kind of friendship that I established with Parker before we started dating and it is so important!

What's really beautiful about this is that you can get to point of comfort where you

can spend long periods of time with this person doing your introverted thing and they're

doing their introverted thing.

And essentially, you're spending time with another human being without it draining you.

When I first experienced this, it was life-changing!

I think what many people and really introverts ourselves get wrong about introverts is that

we don't want to or need to be around people.

I mean, humans are social creatures.

And though the kind of interactions we desire can vary from person to person, we still all want to

have meaningful interactions with others!

Not just our cats!

So I hope if you're an introvert struggling to make friends or an extrovert baffled by

someone who you think is cool and you want to be friends with but they seem to be elusive

that you find some hope and insight in this!

Making friends can be hard whether you're an introvert or extrovert! Bleh!

Trust me, it's taken me years and I am still no where near being a master of making friends.

But I have found people that I genuinely find interesting and that I deeply care about and

that I feel comfortable with.

And to me that's what's important. So yay!

Now I want to know what you guys think!

Do you have any interesting friendship stories?

Or do you have more questions about friend-making?

Tell me down in the comments!

Plus remember to like, favorite, share, and subscribe if this video made you smile!

See you guys on Thursday!

No, because she's already cleared it up.

K: yeah, I tidy after myself.

S: Ready?

K: Yeah S: Lets go.

[music in the car and noise of rain… lots of rain.]

S: She's hungry so she's gone to Mc Donald's.

K: That drive was painful.

S: it's, i don't think you can see it from here

but it's like absolutely peeing down.

yeah, you can't really see on the camera.

I'll show you when we go out.

but, she was gripping the camera… the camera?

The steering wheel so hard that her hands are like freezing up.

So, we've taken a break in a service station.

K: Those lorry drivers don't help at all.

S: yeah they drive really badly.

K: Sitting up my butt S: so yeah i thought i would just catch up

with you.

It's 12:50pm, so, i think we are like half way.

Yeah half way.

We will see you in a bit.

S: It's raining.

But we are heading back now.

I'm trying to protect you from the rain.

You can't even see it.

S; And I'm home.

And i'm with this little sausage what you doing maxi?

did you miss me? say hello to everyone

did you miss me?

ahhh… he's busy with his favourite toy.

I have no idea, what is in this toy, but he has been obsessed with it since Christmas

when we got it.

And i mean, like OBSESSED.

haven't you?

but yeah, i've got all my stuff up into my room now.

gonna put my phone on charge, look through my pictures

see videos because like our coaches are all posting videos of each team

so i'm going to do that I'm going to brush out this barnet and see

how that goes so, i will let you know that.

and potentially wash it, potentially not because we've got training tonight

and i have to put it up in a bow because they're doing pictures.

So i haven't decided yet but i'm just gonna think…

i think i'm just gonna rest now.

i might start editing this, i might not.

i might just watch some programmes because it is a bit less concentration and

i'm tired.

so i can probably edit it tomorrow.

i'm so excited to sleep in this tonight.

so excited the pillows in the hotel,

i don't know if i'm weird, but the pillows in the hotel were like

really big and bouncy and puffy but 1 was not high enough and 2 was like you

were sitting up.

So i just couldn't, couldn't get comfortable so yeah..

i'm excited to sleep in this.

hopefully i'll sleep and yeah the mess.

and you have like a cheer hang over.

This is gonna hurt. is all i have to say about this.

it's gonna be painful and it's gonna hurt.

oh gosh! i also didn't realise how many clips

i've put in there until i just took them all out.

and i actually, oo you can't see me

and i actually used umm, quite a lot.

incase anyones wondering, i had this donut in my hair and i used these

clips. which we just Primark ones,

and like i definitely have hair all over my hands

what do you want maxi? are you looking for attention?

are you looking for attention? are you?

mwahhhh i think he's looking for attention.

and i'm done! that wasn't actually as bad as i thought.

like my hair's really fluffy and stuff now and like

i guess volumes and has some kinks in it and stuff from clips and hairbands,

but it wasn't that bad to brush out you know.

i'm happy! and,

because i'm lazy, and i can't be bothered to wash my hair

before i go to practice because that kind of seems pointless.

I used the dried shampoo which i just picked up like just before comp because,

i thought id try a different one. and this is the same brand and like type of

shampoo and conditioner that i use for coloured hair.

it's the "Provoke Touch of Silver Revitalise dry shampoo."

and honestly, my new fave.

absolute new fave. it doesn't make your hair go white at all.

it comes out completely clear it smells

soon good.

i really hope you enjoyed it, i also think i\ve like hacked cheer hair.

it's not cali style hair or anything but we don't do that anyway, we're a bit

more toned down.

but still there as you would have seen from pictures and blogs…

really happy with that as well, let me know in the comments below and maybe

that's something i could do.

I hope you enjoyed it.

in, and what your next competition is.

and yeah, think that covers everything be sure to subscribe if you're not

if you want to and then you can see more things like this, and health

and all things fun.

so, i'm going to stop rambling, i'm going to get on with things i need to

do, and i will see you guys very soon.

thank you so much for watching, and peace out

Yamaha R6 Performance data disappointing!? | Kawasaki Z900 A2 compliant | Motorcycle News MN - Duration: 6:40.

Today's topics: Performance data of the new R6 disappointing?

, Kawasaki Z900 - now also A2 compliant and more

Yamaha has introduced the new R6 for 2017 some time ago.

It is lavishly equipped with assistance systems and everything has been explained here in

detail.

Only with price and the performance data one held back.

Here first the price: Non-committal price plus additional costs

would be € 13,995 in Germany and CHF 14,990 in Switzerland.

Austria has not yet been announced.

Available in Austria from the middle of April, in Switzerland from the end of April and in

Germany from the middle of May.

The performance data: 118.4 hp at 14.500 and 61.7 Nm at 10.500 revolutions.

It has lost a few horses when compared to the predecessor.

There were 124 Ps.

Here probably Euro4 hit.

To stay fair does not mean that the new R6 is also slower, but if you compare the pure

performance data the new does not cut off particularly well.

It was tried to save weight by using a magnesium frame and the light weight aluminum base.

Through the entire assistance systems and the better equipment one came to 190 kg - ready

to drive and fully-satisfied.

So about 1 kg more than the previous model.

This means that the last representative of the 600 super sports class is not very well

there, at least on paper.

Whether this affects the sales numbers remains to be seen.

But the 600s did not sell very well in recent years, so they were also dropped by all other

manufacturers.

how do you see it?

Are you disappointed by the performance data?

The new Kawasaki Z900 has done well in tests of the specialist press, but is not for beginners,

since it is not A2 compliant.

With the engine characteristics, the easy handling, and the low weight, it would be

really suitable for beginners.

With 125 hp, however, it simply has too much power and can not be throttled in Europe accordingly

A2-conform.

Kawasaki has here reacted and brings a Z900 with 35kW.

In order to throttle them down to Euro4, the output power must also be capped.

What is the performance of the engine without throttling, I have currently no data.

Helmet manufacturer Schuberth from Magdeburg was awarded the Best Brand for helmets by

Motorcycle Magazine for the 12th time in a row.

For each biker they have a corresponding model in the program.

The new C4 folding helmet for touring and sports enthusiasts is now available.

That this is a folding helmet is not noticeable.

The C4 is already equipped with an integrated antenna, two loudspeakers and a microphone.

Together with SENA the optional communication system SC1 was developed.

With the additional module, which is plugged into the helmet and visually not noticeable,

can be spoken via Bluetooth with another driver, make phone calls or just be heard music.

In addition, the helmet with anti-fog lens, sun visor and goggles channel is provided.

Prepared for the SC1 communication system is in the sporty integral helmet R2 too.

Since the micro is already installed in the helmet, this could be the perfect helmet for

MotoVlogger.

I'll be looking at the helmet probably soon closer and then introduce it here.

It still takes, but the bike and music weekend in Geiselwind should be noted already.

At the Strohofer Autohof it will take place from 3 to 6 August.

It is a meeting for bike and US car lovers, with which no one will be bored.

Shows are massive.

Stuntriders are there, custom bikes will be awarded, burnout contests will give Dragrace

show races with cars and bikes, sexy bikewash and much more.

In the foreground are also the bands, which appear on different stages.

Stinger, Thundermother, Iced Earth, Crocus, the blue Onions and John Diva & the Rockets

of Love are just a few of them.

There is more than enough space to camp on the festival grounds.

Festival Tickets are now available at a low price.

Thank you for watching, you can rate the video by clicking on a thumb and subscribe to the

channel to miss nothing more.

The motorcycle news will appear every Monday and Friday at 6 pm

See you

Tucker Carlson Cant Sleep After This NSA Agent Told Him The 1 Thing Thatll Bury

Obama Last Night TRUMP IS CHEERING!

By Paris Swade

Holy crap!

This is huge.

This guy came on Tucker Carlson last night after spending 20 years at the NSA and spilled

the beans on the entire organization.

If we hadnt won this election, think about how bad this country would have been.

Watch what former NSA agent Bill Binney had to say.

The program that is being discussed went on for more than two years under Obama and was

called Stellar Wind.

According to documents obtained by the Gaurdian, a federal judge would approve a bulk collection

of metadata every 90 days. It supposedly ended in 2011, but the interview above throws

that into question.

GRAB THE BIBS AND MELT THE BUTTER.

DEEP STATE GETTING SERVED ON A SILVER PLATTER.

From the Gaurdian:

Eventually, the NSA gained authority to analyze communications metadata associated

with United States persons and persons believed to be in the United States, according to

a 2007 Justice Department memo, which is marked secret.

THIS IS VERY BAD.

LET ME ASK YOU THIS: Why do we pay for the people of this nation to get spied on?

Share this if you think that this IS wrong.

This nation was founded on no taxation without representation. Our representatives

dont represent us anymore.

Its time to drain all of them.

SHARE this right now so that Trump has to respond to this.

We need to stop this crap now!

Color Graded Measurements and Today's Scope Month Winners! (28-Mar-2017) - Duration: 3:02.

Hi and welcome to Scope Month. Today is

Tuesday, March 28 and we're giving away

another five 1000 X-Series scopes.

In the live stream yesterday I mentioned

that we would look at the 6000 x-series so

today we're going to look at color graded

FFT measurements on the 6000 x-series

scope. On the scope screen we're probing

and FSK signal and we have an FFT up and

we can see that my signal is bouncing

between 3.2 mega hertz and 400 kilohertz.

One of the really useful things on the

6000-x is the ability for it to do color

graded display, so you can actually show

color graded measurements on analog

channels and on math channels. So let's

first turn it on for our FFT signal here,

so first you go to "analyze" and then I'm

going to set it to math channel 1 which

is my FFT and I'm going to turn on "color

graded measurements" and now the scope is

going to start building up a color

graded heat map of my FFT. Now we've let

it run a little bit and we have a really

clear idea now of how stable the noise

floor is on our signal. So when you're

running a normal FFT you see all those

spikes on the noise floor but with color

graded FFT you can see how stable and

how consistent it is over time. And now

I've played with the time base a little

bit and turned on color grading on channel

2 and you can see pretty clearly the

difference in frequencies between the

3.2 MHz and the 400 KHz

and if you want to play around with it a

little bit you can also change the color

theme. That's just one of the useful

things on the 6000 x. Remember you can

win this scope as part of the Test to

Impress contest. So let's go ahead and

draw today's winners. We're going to draw

five on1000 X-Series scopes

winners and today's winners are

Murray Yelland, Christian Brodka, Matthew Drzewiecki,

Ivar Egeland, and James Schell

Congratulations to our winners! We will be

in touch with you within three business

days. We have a special guest today. If

you think back to week one we had Alex

Norell- why don't you come on out- find the

Go Find Daniel cut out. So Alex is in town

today doing a tour so we thought we'd

bring him in. So are you from- you're

from San Jose area? [Alex] yeah I'm from San

Jose. I go school at San Jose State

University studying Computer Engineering

[Daniel] Awesome. And you were just playing around with

the 6000 x-series scope. What'd you think?

[Alex] It's a super-nice scope. I'm used to old

like analog scopes and it's really nice

to have a full digital scope. It's crazy.

[Daniel] yeah you were playing around with some of

the CAN decoding. It's pretty cool, the

lister was an exciting thing. Thanks for

stopping by, it was great seeing you and meeting you.

We have a little DMM gift for you and we'll

go finish the tour of the factory here.

[Alex] Yeah thank you. That's all for today

If you'd like to learn a bit about

jitter and see more of the 6000 X in

action, check out the 2-Minute Guru

video from last season- basic jitter

measurements where we look at jitter

histograms and trends on the 6000

x-series oscilloscope. The link for that is

in the description. Make sure you

subscribe to the Keysight Oscilloscopes

youtube channel and you can also check

us out on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Thanks for tuning-in. I'll see you

tomorrow!
