- I flew in from State College, Pennsylvania.
- I'm from Richmond, Virginia.
- I flew from North Carolina.
- Come in from Los Angeles.
- I'm from New York City.
- Colorado.
- I'm from Kentucky.
- From San Francisco.
- I flew here from Boca Raton, Florida,
and I am freezing. (laughing)
- Any time they've come around, I'm there.
- They've been the soundtrack to my life the past 15 years.
- They're just, they are part of my joy.
- My relationship with the band I would describe
as a longterm relationship. (laughs)
♫ I'm gonna write you a letter
♫ I'm gonna write you a book
- I feel more like me and who I am at a Guster show
than anywhere else that I ever am.
- We're getting Guster tattoos tomorrow.
Obviously we would get Guster tattoos
'cause it's been my whole life for the last 25 years.
And I'm only 25 years old. (laughter)
♫ Or did you get lost in Amsterdam
- They really have become brothers in the process
of performing over the last 25 years and we have become
like sisters in the process of being Guster fans.
- Guster to me is a family, the music is a huge part of it
but it's coming to the concerts, it's meeting all the new
people and just, it's a community of brothers and sisters.
- They're not a band, Guster has become a friend
and they're just someone that we could always count on.
- I felt like I had known them for many years.
- Yeah, that's how they make you feel.
- They're everyday people and they
wanna hang out with their fans.
- It's a dream, it's like living in a dream.
Bowling and ice-skating and, you know, nobody else
has this kind of connection with their fans.
- We're doing all the things this week.
- All of the things.
- The past three days have been amazing.
Everybody is here to celebrate 25 years of music
and the friendships that everybody has formed.
Thursday night we have the radio broadcast
which is a lot of fun, and then Friday night
the string players were really great, and then last night.
Last night with the Wheel of Requests was a lot of fun.
- Basically for the next hour we're gonna spin this thing.
(crowd cheering)
There's a lot of stuff on there that we don't know
how to play, that we haven't played.
- You never know what to expect from them.
- No, yeah. (laughs)
♫ Once there were parking lots
♫ Now it's a peaceful oasis
♫ You got it, you got it
- The karaoke was amazing, the people they pulled up.
- Give it up for Jeremy, come on,
this is not an easy thing to do you guys.
(crowd cheering)
♫ When I speak I cross my fingers
- Dude bro just goes "Yo, can I play the guitar?"
(crowd cheering)
♫ Courageous just like the captain
- It's good to see really true diehard Gusteroids
be able to like have that moment
with their favorite band onstage.
- It was the best experience of my life.
It was unbelievable. - Yeah.
- This is all you guys, last line.
♫ I don't need to know who you are
(crowd cheering)
(upbeat game show music)
(crowd cheering wildly)
♫ I want to go where everybody knows my name
- That's it, that's it. (crowd cheering)
- I'm so excited that there's probably like
I don't know, a handful of people who have never
seen our band before that just showed up and be like
"What a fucked-up band is this?
"What the hell is happening?"
♫ La lala la la lala la
♫ La lala la la lala la
- We love you Guster!
(crowd cheering)
- Thank you again, take care of your children.
We'll see you later. (crowd cheering)
- Chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga
Woooooo!
