Shadowbox Frame Card - Duration: 19:14.

Hi stamping friends, this is Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho.

Today I have a cute little card to share with you.

It's a shadowbox card.

It's basically just the shadowbox you've been seeing all over the internet, and I just created

it into a little greeting card.

I'm going to get started and show you how to do it.

I'm going to start with the pattern that's at the back of the tutorial that I've provided

(pdf instructions on Becky's blog).

This particular piece of paper is 8-1/4" x 9-1/2".

All you're going to do is score at 1/2" increments on all 4 sides.

So 1/2", 1/2", 1/2", and 1/2".

I've got one already started that I'm going to complete here.

I'll show you how to do that.

I've got one more that I need to do right here and I'm using this 1/2" line that's on

this side of the paper trimmer because it's just a little bit easier to get to.

I'm going to line the last score line up on the 1/2" and score it.

I'm going to rotate it and do 4 more of them on this side.

So here is the 1/2", we'll scoot it over to the next one which actually is 1", then I'm

going to scoot that score line over to 1/2", and that score line over to 1/2".

This is 8-1/4" x 9-1/2" - this is the 8-1/4" side, this is a bit longer at 9-1/2".

On your shorter side, we need to have 2 additional score lines.

We need to score 1/2" in on these bottom 1 rows on both sides.

I'm going to lay this last score line back on the 1/2".

I'm going to put the arrow on my scoring blade right on the line for 1".

See, I just scored 2 of those and 2 of those.

I'm going to flip it around and do the exact same thing.

I'm going to line this last score line up on the 1/2" and then come in 1", because that's

1/2" and 1/2", and then do the same thing at the bottom.

So I've created these partial score lines.

That's all there is to that portion of it.

Now it's time to cut into this.

I start on these little short lines so I don't forget what to do with them.

I'm going to cut on that little short score line up to the intersecting score line and stop.

When I get there I need to cut diagonally from corner to corner to that one and then

just follow the rest of the lines until I cut this piece of paper off.

I'm going to cut the corners off.

We're going to start again back on this little 1/2" line, diagonal corner to corner and finish

on this line right here, then cut this corner off.

Turn the paper around and line it back up on your shorter score line, go diagonally,

pick up on your score line, and then cut the whole corner off.

You can see pretty much how it's done there, so I'm not going to go ahead and finish it

- of course I have one finished for you.

I'm going to bring it in here.

This is what it looks like when it is completely cut out of the corners.

Maybe that's a little bit easier for you to see.

At this point you just fold on all the score lines one at a time with your bone folder,

score, score, score, score on all 4 sides.

To assemble this you're going to start rolling this in on the sides.

Each of these are going to make a square.

See how that creates a square right there?

Create a square and kind of hold onto it for a second while we do this one on the bottom.

This is going to create into a square and hold these corners, because that's why we

cut that off.

We're going to turn that around and fold this one into a square.

Then we have our frame.

Technically you're supposed to be able to do this without any adhesive whatsoever but

of all of them that I've ever done, I think I only ended up with 2 that didn't need adhesive.

What I've done is put a little bit of adhesive on this line and a little tip right there

and right there and just put it back in place.

Just hold it for a second to make sure it's nice and straight.

Hold it until it dries - this liquid glue dries pretty quickly.

I'm going to do the exact same thing here.

Just a small amount of adhesive here, a drop on each corner, and just fold this back into

the square.

I'm going to hold this for just a minute until I'm certain that it's dry enough to let go,

just making sure that nothing moved and everything is perfectly square on the corners.

I'm going to set it aside and let it dry for a minute.

There we go.

I'm going to set that aside while I bring in some stamping pieces.

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock you're going to do all of your stamping.

You need the kitty and you need 3 of them, because the punch we're going to use, which

is actually the Fox Builder punch, has just the different parts on him but they're not

lined up.

So you need 3 kitties, 1 so you can punch out his head, 1 so you can punch out his body,

and 1 so you can punch out just his tail.

Then the rest of these are hand cut.

You're going to cut out the 2 mushrooms - this is Calypso Coral and Peekaboo Peach.

2 of the trees in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive, This stump you just need 1 and that is in

Chocolate Chip, then I did 2 of each of the little ferns - 2 in Pear Pizzazz and 2 in Old Olive.

Then I switched over to the Birthday Banners set and I stamped the full candle and 2 banners, and

then I put Happy Birthday on the banner.

So we're going to cut that one out with the Framelits.

You'll take the Framelits and line them up like that and cut them both out.

You're going to cut 2 because we're going to layer one on top of the other for a little

bit of added dimension.

At this point go ahead and hand cut the things that you don't have a punch for, so you'll

punch these, do the die cut for those and hand cut these.

As you can see, I've got them all cut out over here on the side.

The first thing I'm going to do is put the birthday banner together.

I cut it off right outside the color of the ink, and cut the banner portion off a little bit.

Trim it off a little bit - I mean you're going to cut it completely off.

Then you're going to take Stampin' Dimensionals to put on the back of this.

These are just the double sticky foam adhesive tape.

Peel those off and apply it right over top of the other banner, just to add a little

bit of dimension to it, let it pop up a little bit.

I'm going to set that one aside.

The next thing we're going to do is pull in the back piece., which is actually the insert

of the card that we're making.

We're going to put the kitty together.

The first thing I'm going to do is take out the ground piece from the stamp set called

Sheltering Tree and I'm going to stamp this on the ground.

Remember we are going to have our frame that's 1/2" covering this, so you're going to start

up a little bit, not at the bottom.

Put some grass there.

Then I'm going to switch over to Soft Sky and put little clouds using the swish from

the Work of Art stamp set.

We'll start about there, there and there.

Just make some little clouds to give it some color.

Then we're ready to put it all together.

I'm going to start with the little stump and put a little bit of adhesive on that and put

it right on the top.

I'm going to pick up the kitty.

When you punch this it's going to leave a little bit of white space on the bottom of

him and we don't need it so I just cut it off.

He goes on with a Stampin Dimensional also.

but I only put it right at the top of him because his feet are going to go right onto

the piece of wood itself and we want his tummy to stand up.

We're going to now put his tail together.

Since we cut this out from the body that's already existing, we have a little bit of

a pattern, so we have that little line right there that shows us where to line it up right there.

To put the kitty's head on we're going to stack 2 Stampin Dimensionals on top of each

other so that it's the highest point on the card.

I'm going to put one there, peel it off, and put another one right on top.

So he has 2 dimensionals so he is the highest piece, and you can see right there on your

stamping where his head connects.

I'm going to turn it a little bit and give him some personality.

The next thing I'm going to do is take one of the little fern pieces and put some adhesive on this.

I'm going to put it down here by the stump.

Then I'm going to take one of the little Peekaboo Peach mushrooms and put him right in front.

I totally forgot that I need to slide the trees in, so let's see if we can get that

done without messing it up.

There.

We'll slide that guy in and then... wow, this is good isn't it?

We'll put him in, so we need to put this in behind everything.

There we go.

We'll adhere him down in just a second.

Put his body back together.

Put his head back on.

We'll just put a little adhesive under what we need to put it under, just to stick it together.

Nothing like starting from the top down instead of from the bottom up.

:) Turn it over and make sure everything is sealed nice and tight, let it dry just a minute,

and then from the candle that I stamped right here and the flame, I cut out just a tiny

bit of the center section of it, and then this is the center of the flame and I just

put a tiny piece of the Stampin Dimensional on the back of it.

We'll put that right between his hands and I want it to be pretty much right up to

his chin so that when I put this flame on and peel it off, the flame will go right up

to his mouth.

That's all there is to put him together.

We'll turn this over and put a little bit of the glue on the back of it and layer it

on the Basic Gray piece of paper.

Turn it over so you don't get your hands all over it.

We're going to bring our frame back in and we're simply going to slide it inside, so

I'll put a little adhesive on it and slide it down in there.

Make sure it sinks down on all the sides.

Looks good.

We're going to set that aside for just a moment.

We're going to bring in the cover piece.

The cover piece is actually some odd measurements.

It's 5-9/16" x 9-3/16".

You just need it a little bit extra to wrap around this so it covers like an actual card

so that's the reason for the different measurements.

You're going to take the largest oval in your Ovals collection and measure and cut it right

out of the front, and I always put a little post it note or piece of repositionable tape

on there so that it doesn't move.

You want it to be straight.

We'll set that aside. We're going to take some Old Olive ink and the vine arch that's in

here and ink it up, and we're going to put it right over the oval on the top and on the bottom.

I'm going to pull in a piece of doily.

I just measured how much I wanted from the bottom, so I'm going to cut straight across

and just use the bottom piece.

I only need a little portion of it.

I'm going to put some adhesive on the back of this and it's going to have a lot of things

on top of it so it doesn't need a lot of adhesive.

It's not going to go anywhere once we're done with it.

I'm going to lay this right there across the bottom.

I'm going to bring in the birthday banner and put that right across the top here and

then just decorate it a little bit with some of the pieces that we have left over.

So I'm taking one of the ferns that's in Old Olive and I'm going to set it up here like this.

Take on that's in the lighter color which is Pear Pizzazz and put a little bit of adhesive

on there and I'm going to stick that down on here a little bit.

Then one of the Calypso Coral mushrooms I'm going to put on the inside a little bit so

you might be able to see some of that from the inside of the card.

I'm going to take another one in the Peekaboo Peach and put on the outside to give it a

little decoration.

One more to balance it off by putting it on the other side, leaving that little green

vine showing a little bit.

There we go.

There is our cover.

I've gone ahead and scored it down the center.

I have the measurements if you want to score it from left to right in the tutorial but

the trick is that you're going to score it 4-5/16" from this edge and turn it around

and score it 4-5/16" from this edge.

Then fold it and crease it with your bone folder

and you have your cover that's ready to go.

The next thing is we're going to take a piece of the Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon and cut

it about 22" - I always cut it a little bit more generously than I need to - I'd rather

have more than be too tight, that's for sure.

Tie this in a bow.

So we've got the bow on there.

Then just position it where you want it- I'm going to move it up a little bit so it's a

little bit higher and trim the ends.

Then we're going to pull the frame back in and we're going to take some of the Tear-n-Tape

and put 2 layers of it along the left hand side of this.

I'm going to peel this one off and then put one more on and peel it off.

Then just put it right into the spine of this card, right on the score line, fold this up

and adhere it.

Before it's really really sticky, close it and make sure it's straight and then just

reinforce the back and make sure the adhesive is sticking to it.

When you open it up you have your birthday card.

You can write your sentiment in the back.

When we stand it up you can see that it has the 3 layers in it.

So I hope you enjoyed the Shadowbox tutorial - you can make it out of any of the stamp

sets that you have - this one was Foxy Friends, Birthday Banner, Work of Art, and Sheltering Tree.

A lot of our little images would be cute in that.

So if you make one be sure and post it on Splitcoaststampers so that we can all see

it and share.

Thank you!

Current Favorites (BAHASA) | Recommended Stuff! - Duration: 9:28.

hi guys and welcome back to my channel

so today's video is going to be my current favorites for the past months

so if you want to know about the video, please keep on watching! *hugs*

so i'll start from skincare products

the first products is this NIVEA MAKE UP CLEAR face toner

so i've been wear this toner for the past 3/4 months, and for me this toner is super good

it doesn't make my skin breakout and the formula is really brightening my skin

I wear this toner every night and it turns out to be my fav! And it's AFFORDABLE guys. *hehe*

next items is this LANEIGE WHITE PLUS RENEW emulsion

So i used this products as a night moisturizer, and the first time i got this emulsion is from the SOGO Store

i bought some of the Laneige products and their staff give me this travel size kit as the bonus

and i try this products on and in my opinion this emulsion doesn't break my skin at all

the formula it's really light, super comfortable and moisturize my skin. I do recommend you guys to try this on

next, i got a face mask to recommend you guys. I've been wearing this mask for the last 2 months

So it's the Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. I really recommend every single of you to try this products

because, this products is really worth the hype and price as well like it's only $10 i bought on online store

i wear this mask 2 times a week and the result is really goddamn good. *holymoly*

next item that i wanna talk about is this Lipbalm from Rosebud.

Let's talk about the formula, the first time i tried this products on i was like, "It's going to be my fav items"

i wear this lip balm literally every single night and it's oil based so it's really lightweight, moisturizing and comfortable to wear

so after the skin care items, we'll directly move to makeup products and the first item is from the local brand (indonesia brand)

next item is this h&m blush on, i'm in the shade coral and me personally loving the formula of this blush

the color it's really gorgeous and the pigmentation as well, it's a satin finish blush

I got this blush from my mom when she was in Singapore and i don't think this blush is available at Indonesia's store yet.

next moving straight to the lip products, i have 3 items to share with you guys

so the first products is from Silky Girl, it's their Matte Junkie Lip Cream in the shade #006 or #Darling

i really love the color and the formula as well, it's really comfortable to wear and i'll swatch the color

so here the color guys as you can see it's really pretty and it's a nude color! (more like a warm peachy nude)

and what i like about this product is, it's not sticky or cracking at all and it's really comfortable and affordable as well

next item is this NYX SMLC in the shades Stockholm, i love the color so much, it's a nude color once again.

so here you guys the swatch on th back of my hand, the nyx one is more like a pink nude and the silkygirl one is more peachy

Actually if you compare the formula of the nyx one and the silky girl one, they kinda similar to each other but

for the price, nyx one is pricier than the silky girl. (NYX $6/7 vs Silkygirl $4)

here it is the last products of today's video, it's from the colourpop Ultra Lip Gloss in the shades WEHO

the reason why i love this lip gloss is because of the formula, it's not sticky at all which is awesome

it's really comfy to wear on the lips and the pigmetation itself. It's full coverage like a usual lipsticks!

I Have Questions , Things to Tell You and I Received my New Lights! - Duration: 6:58.

today I have some questions for you!

I realize I don't ask you these questions

often enough and today I have two

questions that I'd like you to

answer. You can use the comment section

down below and I will try and read you all

and even though I don't reply to

each comment I will certainly take notes.

Question number one: I would like to know

what kind of content you enjoy to see

the most or would like to see on my

channel? Would you like more Q&A s?

Maybe you would like to see me do some

partnerships with other youtubers, other

creators on YouTube that are in the

cosmetic and soap making business?

More reviews? I love to review soap-making

gear, tools and equipment and if you have

a business where you make or sell soap making

tools you can certainly write me

a private message via my email or via my

facebook page and I'd be happy to review

those for you. But as my viewers I would

like to know if that's something you

enjoy? Do you prefer cold process or you

would like me to make more cosmetic

videos: creams, lotion, bath bombs or things

like that, so please comment below and I

will take notes and try to answer the

most popular subjects. Question number two:

I would like to know if watching my

channel is helpful for you? I would like

to know if it has impacted your life? Did

I help you start making soap? Did I

motivate you? Was I an inspiration for

you to start making your soap or

starting your own business? I talk to you

a lot and I show you many things but

usually the conversation is one way... Of

course you get to write to me in the

comment sections below but I don't

really ask you questions often enough

and I think that is something that I

should do more often. Here's your

opportunity to tell me if I've been

helpful to you in the past with my videos

and what could be helpful in the future.

So please, comment below. I get many many

requests for help and support and sadly

it is just too overwhelming for me to

individually answer everyone. When I have

time or if you happen to pop in at the

right moment, sometimes I'll answer and

I'll try to help people. It's not always

possible and I want to tell you that I do

see all of your messages but sometimes I

just don't have the time. I have three

little kids, they are all under the age of

six: my youngest is 18 months now. I don't

sleep full nights yet, so my priority of

course is my family and then my

job and you guys. Sometimes I try to

address some of the questions in my

videos without specifically saying:

I'm answering this or that question. I

would like to start making live videos

and if you guys log into one of my live

videos I would be happy to answer your

soap and cosmetic related questions or

business questions I can also answer

Facebook tips and tricks or YouTube and

you know things like that because I do

have people writing me asking me for

other kind of advice and then soap

making because obviously I'm a

lot online everywhere and people are

looking for help and support and

sometimes they reach out to me for that

too. I'm gonna try and have my first

youtube live streaming very soon so if

you want to know about that, you should

hit the subscribe button down there if

you aren't already subscribed and hit the

BELL button because the bell button will

notify you when I make a new video. When

I go either live or when I post a new

video and then you can be among the

first to know about it. You can also join

my patreon campaign and people have

access to my videos 24 hours before

everybody else because I always give

them private links one day ahead. Another

way for you to help support my Youtube

channel is by going over to my web store

and purchasing some soap! That is

actually the very number one best way to

support me! As a soap maker my job is to

make and sell soap and my business is

only open to the public, the foot traffic,

in the summer season here which is very

touristic on the islands and I'm only

open three-four months a year. The

big months are like July and August so

the rest of the year I rely on online

sales. If you want to help me, go over

to my website, the link is below, I'm

gonna write it down here and that is

what you can do to help support me!

Follow me everywhere! I will try and

tweet and Instagram, etc...

information about my first live

streaming. I'm a little bit stressed

about that because I've never done a

live streaming with such a big following!

Because you deserve it I will do it.

Can you see something in my eye? Look at that!

I got a ring light! Here are my lights

that I just received. I haven't done any

videos with them until now. This is a

newer... Neewer? Neewer??? I don't know what it's

called or I know what it's called but I

just don't know how to pronounce it!

This one I really love it's very small,

but it's pretty powerful. It's dimmable

and it goes pretty bright. It is

battery-powered so no cord is attached

to this and their are actually rechargeable

batteries! So I don't need

to continuously buy new batteries, I can

just recharge them. I got two batteries

and then here I have my ring light which

is probably going to be my new best

friend! It's very bright, very powerful. I

love it! It's pretty intense yeah? It's

also a dimmable light but I don't find

that the dimmer is that much... you can't

really... well you can tell but it's subtle!

And then this is my old light that I

already had but I just added this little

soft box on top of it which was actually

made for this one but I found that it

was a little loose on it and then I

would have a hard time reaching

the dimmer. So i just removed it. What

I really really love about these two

guys is actually their stands which

are on rolling casters so i can just

kind of move these around with ease and

with the small workshop that I work in,

its very practical and when I have my

new workshop, that's coming soon, these

will fit perfectly into my new video

making setup! So, pretty happy with these!

Say CHEESE! So I got a reflector that i'm

probably going to be using as my third

light and yeah mm-hmm I need to

figure out how I'm going to set this up

in this workshop which is very tiny and

still be able to actually work and make soap!

But once I move, this Fall, hopefully, I

will have plenty of room to make more

beautiful videos! I'm so happy! Hey thanks

again and I will see you very soon!
