How to Build a Box Part 9 - Starting the Lid - Duration: 10:56.

I got to do it all!

Hello and welcome to Donald Vlogsifys Woodshop.

I'm your host, Donald Vlogsifys.

Also known as Donald Matthews.

Today....

or this video... today...

whatever... uhhh

The video coming up is going to be me doing the top for this box.

Now, many of you know....

I kinda, sorta, halfway plan out my projects.

But an actual real.....

living, workable plan?

uhhhh not so much.

I kinda go on the fly and work with what.....

as I get into it, figure out what I need and go with it.

As in this case, when I built this box...

I had in my mind that I was going to use one of these boards,

as a top.

Unfortunately, I didn't take that...

right there... into account when I made the box.

So........

That is... Naw. I'm not gonna throw that.

The roommate would kill me if I break somethin.

That's sorta out the window right now.

I've got a piece of walnut out there.

I'm going to make the top from and...

I reckon I need to kind of....

level off the bottom of this before I finish it. But anyway.

That's what I'm going to work on today. The top of this.

From the walnut board I have out there.

Please enjoy.

Thank you for your patience. Thank you for watching.

Thank you for putting up with me.

Here we go....

Walnut even smells good in the sun.

I got to do it all!

I got to do it all.

That's it for this one. Thank you for watching.

Please give me a thumbs up and share my video.

If you're not already a subscriber, I invite you to subscribe.

During the last 20 seconds of this video...

There'll be a little round thing with me in it up here.

Ya click on that and subscribe.

Or. If you can't wait that long, below each video, on every channel is a little red subscribe

button down below the little video player box thingie.

Click on that.

Again....

Thank you for watching.

Have a lovely day.

Have a lovely night.

Have a lovely life.

Cause life is short and it's meant to be enjoyed.

Peace!!

Striking a Balance Between Spiritual Growth and Worldly - Duration: 7:37.

Striking

a Balance Between Spiritual Growth and Worldly Responsibility

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience. ~ Pierre Tailhard de Chardin

The spiritual path is a twisty one, full of spirals and zig-zags that lead, bit by bit,

toward closer communion with God.

I was set on my own path, at least consciously, about three years ago, and in that time Ive

seen many amazing things, experienced true magic, and felt deep, ecstatic union with

Divinity.

Its been a wild ride, and one that often hasnt been met with approval, much less

understanding, by many people in my life.

Family and Faith We move in eternal regions, yet worry about property here. ~ Rumi For

most of my life, I got the message that the way to happiness was through excelling at

school, getting a great degree, beating other people out for that perfect job, then finding

a husband and settling down.

On the spiritual path, Ive found the opposite message to be the one that gets the loudest

airplay.

Follow your bliss, as the indomitable Jospeh Campbell says.

Except, what happens when you get to a point in your life say, after youve got kids

and a mortgage and a devoted partner and discover your relationship with God?

What if following your bliss means leaving all that?

After all, countless spiritual leaders left behind loved ones (usually wives, curiously)

and children, businesses and social structures, in order to pursue their path.

Siddhartha, who became the Buddha, walked out on his wife and child in the middle of

the night, without so much as a goodbye.

Srila Prabhupada, the man who brought the Hindu vaishnava tradition to the West, also

left behind a wife and multiple children.

There are certainly cases where Spirit asks an individual to sacrifice literally everything

theyve known to pursue their calling.

Id wager to say, however, that this approach doesnt hold water for a lot of people heading

down the road Home.

Divinity in the details Do you speak to me like you speak to God?

All the love and understanding between the Father and the Son. ~ Nahko & Medicine

For The People That might leave a whole lot of us myself included wondering how

to move forward in this society, in our current family dynamics, while maintaining a dedication

to spiritual growth.

Well, theres no one-size-fits-all, step-by-step answer.

To some degree or another things will inevitably change.

Some relationships will deepen, some fall away altogether.

That might mean spouses and work environments, but it doesnt have to; thats something

only the individual can decide.

What can be applied across the board, however, is the approach we take to our relationships,

whether with other people or with work.

Even our relationships with cleaning, or taking the dog for a walk, or the dog itself.

Anything we approach with a sense of obligation or entitlement will be inevitably tainted

by the egos need for separation.

The detail thats important here is this: Am I approaching this activity/relationship

as I would approach God?

That is, am I approaching it with love, understanding, and respect?

Balance vs Integration There are three ways in which consciousness can flow into

what you do and thus through you into this worldThe modalities of awakened doing are

acceptance, enjoyment, and enthusiasmIf you are not in the state of either acceptance,

enjoyment, or enthusiasm, look closely and you will find that you are creating suffering

for yourself and others. ~ Eckhart Tolle I would posit that the key is not to find

a balance between your spiritual life and your workaday life, but to integrate the two.

In this way, the hours you spend at work can be infused with life, that great energy that

makes this mind-boggling universe work as splendidly as it does.

If you find yourself in a position, as Eckhart Tolle says, where you cannot at the bare minimum

accept what you are doing, it is likely time to take a good hard look at that activity

or relationship.

The energy that we put into each moment is the energy that will be transmitted to the

end product.

If that energy comes from a place of frustration or anger, no matter how beneficial or positive

you envision the end product being, it will be tainted with that energy.

For example, if you are making a breakfast to feed hundreds of homeless people, but you

resent the fact that you have to clean all these pots and pans, the food that you serve

will be infused with that negativity.

The body will still be fed, but the soul will continue to hunger.

However, if you can find acceptance, even enjoyment or enthusiasm in your work, keeping

that kind of focus on what youre doing immediately transforms it into a spiritual

act.

In this way, you are channeling love and life energy into even the most mundane of tasks.

Imagine, if filing your taxes could be elevated into an act of worship and expansion.

As Aristotle said, The energy of the mind is the essence of life. Change

your mindset, and you can change the world.

TRANS PEOPLE and THE LAW - Duration: 8:46.

I don't want to burp on camera.

- That's a big part of what I cut out of videos often is me burping so... uhm

- Oh my god, burping is so much better post-T!

Since transitioning, I've been like (fake burps) (laughter)

Hello! I'm Jackson Bird and welcome to another installment of my Queerstory series.

Today I am joined by legal assistant and aspiring lawyer, Ryan Rasdall.

Ryan, thank you so much for joining me today.

- No problem.

- You know what you're saying.

Like uhm, you are, you are educated.

You've done you're research, BUT - I'm also not an attorney.

I'm not a lawyer.

- If Ryan says something and you're like, "that's not right!" or I don't know like

- I'm sorry - Yeah.

So Ryan, how do you identify?

- I identify as a black trans guy.

- The common narrative for trans men tends to be when we transition we kind of get a

greater understanding of male privilege and a lot of us talk about how much less harassment

and discrimination we face.

But I found that like usually the guys who are saying that are white.

So what has your experience as a black trans man, how has that been different?

- I definitely experience the male privilege.

Y'know people listen to you more.

- Yeah.

- Even just like physically walking through the world, people like move out of your way.

But as a black guy walking through the world, uhm it's definitely a different experience.

Given all the events that have been happening and just in general I think you learn from

a young age as a black person that like you're just policed in a different way and so even

moreso as a black man and being read as a black man, uhm I feel like I am y'know stared

at longer.

I live in a neighborhood that's already heavily policed and I can't speak for all black trans

guys or all trans people of color, but definitely for me, I'm definitely more hyper aware of

where my hands are and especially like going into stores if I have like backpack on me

or I'm going up and down lanes - and that's something I've experienced all my life, but

I feel like it's hyper, it's been hyped up since transitioning.

So I always try to just be as, as, in my best way I feel like y'know making other people comfortable.

That's something that I constantly have to think about.

- What are some of the challenges that trans people do face when they're changing their name?

- Because birth certificates are done state by state, there's no like one way that everyone

can y'know change their, their birth certificate and change their name.

- Which makes it so much more complicated.

- Makes it so much more complicated and I'm thinking now also I might be overlaying this

with gender marker changes as well - Yeah.

- which require sometimes doctor's letters - again, depending on the state

- again, depending on the state - different requirements

- There are some states that won't even allow you to change uhm your gender marker because

that's the law of that state.

- Oh wow.

- So you know, there are trans people who are struggling to you know be seen in the

world as who they are and to change their names accordingly and this is important for

employment, just important for themselves and to affirm like this is who I am and this

is who I will be in the world.

It's really really hard.

- It's just such a mess.

Yeah, like I know, I was born in Michigan and I haven't even begun to look at like what

I would have to do there to change my birth certificate.

- I lucked out.

My mom named me Ryan - Really?!

- Yeah.

- Wha - I didn't know that!

- My birth certificate has an F on it and she named me Ryan, R-Y-A-N from birth.

- Wow.

- And when I was a kid, I hated my name.

I was like, "this is a boy's name!"

Like, I don't fit in.

I think that was just my way of being like, I get teased about this and I hate it.

And so I'm experiencing it y'know kind of in reverse for a lot of trans people.

It's like I hated my name when I was a kid because I was very much y'know socialized

to be a girl and I was being a girl in the world and I was being teased for having that

name.

And now, I fucking love my name.

- Yeah!

- And I'm not going to change it.

And I thought about it for a second.

I was like, "should I change me name?"

I'm like, no.

Absolutely love Ryan.

- And all of this costs a lot of money, which trans people in particular are like more likely

to not have the money to be able to afford things like this.

- Absolutely, i think a new passport is like a hundred and twenty dollars or something.

Or a hundred and fifty dollars.

I'm not exactly sure.

Don't quote me.

New York City is one of the few places where you can now get an ID made uhm for free, through

the city, and you can choose if you want male or female or you can even leave it blank.

- Yeah, and I know the New York City ID like that is also very helpful for undocumented

people to have some form of ID for them, photo ID that's in New York City.

What are U.S. prisons currently required to provide for incarcerated trans people and

what do you think an ideal world would look like there?

- So that's a complex issue.

So state prisons and state jails are subject to that state's uhm own administrative bodies

and laws.

And so trans people are treated across the board very differently depending on where

they are being incarcertated - in terms of if that y'know jail or prison is going to

house them according to their gender identity, if that institution is going to respect them

enough to provide them with hormones.

And I know that obtaining surgery for a lot of folks is also something people have been

seeking out, but it's a really, it's not, there's not a lot of history of people being

successful in that manner.

There's a few cases I know of where some trans people are challenging the states to y'know

get hormones, saying it's medically necessary and same for surgery.

Uhm but state by state, it varies.

Federally, the protections that I know about are through PREA, which is the Prison Rape

Elimination Act.

Which was passed unanimously by congress basically saying that if you are incarcerated, by y'know

the federal government, you have the right to be free of like sexual assault, bodily

harm and that's the government and the state's job in those institutions to ensure that you're

safe.

PREA's the law, but uhm unfortunately trans people are still experiencing a lot of y'know

violence and attacks on their safety.

- Yeah, that's what I was going to say, is like... okay, yeah that law sounds great,

but like how does that really help?

- Especially trans women of color are experiencing the denials of their humanity, denials to

safety, denial to hormones and surgery, and so because there are higher rates of policing

in communities of color, you'll see a lot of that represented in our prison system.

- Mhmm.

So many things we gotta fix in this country, man.

- So many! - (clears throat) Are you ready for the lightning round?

(thunder clap sound) - Lightning round.

Boom boom pow.

- What is Title IX?

- Title IX is a federal law that states that discrimination based on sex is illegal in

federally funded institutions.

So like schools and such.

- Who's your favorite Rocky Horror Picture Show character?

- I actually don't know it well enough to name a character.

I've only seen it once.

- Oh man.

- I went to a fantastic performance.

I went to Smith.

- Oh, okay.

- And there was a theater downtown and I went to that theater and I was just talking about

this other day and they like, you paid for your ticket and then you got like the baggie

full of like all the like things to use to interact

- Toast and - - Yeah!

To like interact with the movie.

I had never - that was like my first and also my last time seeing the film.

So I don't know it well enough and I'm sorry.

- What?

(laughs) You don't have to apologize.

- I promise to re-watch it.

I promise to get back to you and let you know.

(laughs) - Thanks.

Thank you.

If you were a pasta, what type of pasta would you be?

- Ooh.

Lasagna.

Like the the lasagna pasta.

- Ohhh.

So like the - - The long, flat ones.

- Yeah, okay.

But a little wavy.

You got some personality.

- A little wavy and there's always like awesome things around the lasagna.

- So you like hanging out around awesome people.

- I like hanging out with cool people, like you.

- Oh, well.

Thank you.

While I still have you here today, what is one thing that people watching can do to take action?

- If you're an ally, I would say if you know any trans people, definitely uhm listen to them.

Listen to their story.

If you're an ally or trans person with the means, I would definitely y'know look and

try to find trans led organizations that center trans women of color.

I think if we center the people who are the most marginalized, in our community then all

of us do a lot better.

And so like organizations like the Trans Women of Color Collective, the National Center for

Transgender Equality.

Around this bathroom issue, around North Carolina and HB2, when we're telling trans people that

they can't use the correct bathroom, what we're really saying is we don't believe you.

You know, in a community that has forty-one percent suicide attempt rates, high rates

of poverty, it's really really important that we say we believe you and we know who you

are and it's okay to be who you are.

And so we have to y'know step up and say that discriminating against trans people in this

way is not right.

Just affirm trans people.

- Yeah.

- Affirm them and support them if you can financially.

Support the organizations that are doing this work on the ground.

That's what my advice would be.

- That's amazing.

That's so good.

Thank you so much for joining me today, Ryan.

- No problem!

- To everyone watching, I want to know if you were a pasta, what pasta would you be?

Let us know in comments down there.

Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss any future Queerstory videos.

Again, thank you Ryan, and thanks to all of you for watching.

I'll see ya next time.

2pac TRUTH Murder done By A South Side Crip, Suge knight's Death Row Bodyguard Explains | JTNEWS - Duration: 4:35.

this jordantown with JT news well as

this Tupac movie approaches we're

hearing a lot of different stories about

Tupac is how it usually is when the

movie comes well we got this story from

blood pie Ruo Jie mob James okay and he

kind of sheds like a lot of light on the

whole situation with Tupac Suge Knight

and how everything kind of played out

this was the guy that kind of brought

the Bloods to Suge Knight okay this is

how he tells it I'm just telling you

what he said I don't know facts I was

way too young most of you were too way

too young as well but this is supposedly

the guy that brought Bloods to death row

as protection okay and eventually uh you

know Suge Knight and pop felt

untouchable with these guys around this

guy says that Suge Knight was scared of

these guys these these you know mob

James loves basically I don't know

they're exactly there's so many

different kinds of Bloods in LA but he

he said that Suge Knight would pay his

way whenever he had a problem with one

of them he would pay his way out Pok

he said pop kinda felt like he started

getting like mob tattoos on him and

stuff and started acting like he was

from the neighborhood but they kind of

went along with it because you know they

were getting paid from death row they

weren't half to having to rob and steal

anymore they were getting legitimate

money being protection for death row and

what happened was a problem between the

south side Crips and mob James is gang

red blood tie ruse there was a problem

with the chain snatching I guess they

were snatching chains the south side

Crips some something kind of you know

there was some like fight that animal

imma be honest with you like some of

this I'm not quite familiar with or it's

been a while since I heard these stories

and the timeline of events but basically

south side Crips and these towers were

going at it over these changes stuff

fighting every time you saw each other

Pok ran into one of these guys at the

Mike Tyson fight in Vegas now this

problem was supposed to between between

the south side crips and you know mob

James's crew right PI rules right but

now I don't know what kind of there's

many different kinds of PI rules like I

said so anyways that fight happened

between Orlando Anderson and puck now

Pok wasn't supposed to fight he said pop

shoulda stayed out of it because it

wasn't his problem but puck kind of

turned up because he had everybody with

him and fought him and he was mad at

because Suge Knight didn't stop him you

know should pop was the money pop was

the artist he shouldn't be fighting but

he fought and then he believes that if

Pop didn't fight that night with this

guy and you can see the infamous MGM

footage of pop coming out and fighting

this guy a bunch of people fighting this

guy he believes that Hawk being killed

right after that on their way to the

club 66 to Orlando Anderson and his crew

took revenge and kill Pok and this and

then this guy Orlando Anderson dead and

unrelated shooting in 1998 now he said

pox outta two changed when he started

associating with the pie rooms okay

because he felt unstoppable this clears

up a lot of stuff because like there

were so many conspiracy theories too

like oh this person guy of talk killed

this you know like this clears up a lot

of stuff and I believe with this guy

saying like you know when you can just

see what somebody saying and it just

seems believable this guy seems really

believable I'm gonna link his full

interview below what do you guys think

about it like it's crazy man this is a

you know I don't know this guy said I'm

doing this interview to expose the devil

meaning Suge Knight because should night

said Suge Knight's out of gangsters and

their crying everything can't handle

being locked up and everything so he's

basically calling Suge out for not being

a gangster so hey want to see man what

do you guys think let me know get into

comments make sure you come out hit the

FOUND AFTER TWO YEARS LOST WEATHER BALLOON GOPRO WITH ASTOUNDING FOOTAGE FROM SPACE - Duration: 4:42.

FOUND AFTER TWO YEARS LOST WEATHER BALLOON GOPRO WITH ASTOUNDING FOOTAGE FROM SPACE

In June 2013 five friends decided to go out into Arizona and take some footage of space

when they attached their GoPro recorder to a weather balloon and sent it up into the

sky.

This was the last they saw of it for two years and when it returned it was worth the wait

as it gave them some amazing shots of Earth it had taken from space.

STUDENTS GOT FAA APPROVAL TO LAUNCH NEAR TO TUBA CITY College students and friends Bryan

Chan, Ashish Goel, Ved Chirayath, Paul Tarantino and Tyler Reid decided to build a device and

calculated the trajectory of it then registered it with the FAA so that it wouldnt interfere

with any aircraft that might be passing.

The balloon carried a GoPro Hero3, Sony camcorder and Samsung Galaxy Note II smartphone, with

the two camera recording footage and the smartphone taking the photos.

They finally decided to launch the balloon out in the desert just a few miles from Tuba

City.

The group wanted to track the progress of their balloon via GPS that was on a smartphone;

however, they lost contact with the location once the device and balloon went out of range

of the cell phone tower.

This left them wondering for many months, if they would ever see the balloon ever again

or if they would get their cameras back from the balloon.

HIKER FOUND BALLOON AND EQUIPMENT TWO YEARS LATER The group waited and waited and then

gave up on the idea of ever seeing it again.

However, two years later they did get to see the results from their project when they received

a call from a hiker.

The hiker had been out in Arizona and had come across a box with the names of the group

on it, around 50 miles from where they originally launched the balloon.

The team had hoped that the balloon would have captured what they thought would be the

money shot, the Grand Canyon photographed from the stratosphere.

They processed the data taken from the device that had been attached to the balloon and

found out that it had reached 98, 664 feet and had a flight time of 1 hour and 38 minutes

in total.

The footage they managed to get from the camera was more than they had hoped to get and they

managed to retrieve all of the original images and made a 4-minute video that offers a look

behind the scenes of their incredible story.
