Waching daily Apr 28 2017

hello gorgeous welcome back to my

channel I have another video in my

review series for you today and I'm

steering off a little bit from

the handbags that I've been doing and I am

talking today about hunter boots and

talked to you about my experiences with

them and how I feel about them so if you

want to know keep on watching ok so my

first pair of hunter boots were the

original tall black hunters these Matt

and I figured out are probably about 5

years old so when I put them

side-by-side with the new hunter boots

you're going to see a very you're going

to see a difference like it's a

noticeable difference in everything from

the height to the design but I again

have had these for almost 5 years I said

I think and overall let's just go over

them from top to bottom what I think

about them so the thing about hunter

boots is that the more you wear them the

softer the rubber becomes it was just

the way that I've experienced them to be

I don't know maybe you guys have a

different experience but I feel like

they're much more flimsy and pliable now

that I've worn them so much the only

damage that I and I wear these things

all the time you guys see them

especially when I was in Vancouver I

wore them like basically every day for

as much as I've worn them over the past

4 or 5 years there is a small section of

wear right here and then there is

another small section of wear right here

on both pairs and honestly I think it's

from

it's from rubbing you know like when I'm

sitting down walking whatever other than

that they're an excellent condition for

them being as old as they are I have

never had any problems with leaking

what's walking through the puddles or

rain or anything like that I did have

one person I posted a picture of me

wearing my Hunters on Instagram a couple

months ago and I have one particular

gorgeous girl who said that she got a

pair and was in the first year they were

leaking and she was so disappointed over

by them again and I was really sad to

hear that but I have never had that

experience I have only seen like very

awesome

or had really awesome results overall

the interior is a lined rubber so it's

like more of a the material feels

reminds me of pantyhose frankly sewn

nylon and on the inside of the left shoe

or left boot there is the hunter tag

honestly - I've worn

so much that the tag is worn off I can't

even tell you what size they are or

anything else how much I've worn them

they have been incredibly sturdy

incredibly faithful to me and I will

probably get another couple years wear

out of these boots they have been

awesome the hunter emblem on the right

boot is actually held up a lot better

than the one on the left

I'm just saying there's a little bit of

wear and tear on it but overall I love

these boots just a couple of details

that I like to point out and these are

again are my older boots but I love that

there is a little bit of a belt detail

on the side there isn't an actual prong

on it but it just pulls and then the

front tag is actually 3d it actually

comes out from the boot a little bit and

then as you can see there is a little

bit of detail here on the toe it's a

scallop and then there's a soft detail

along here and then there is a slight

slight heel now I am actually wearing

these in a 5m u.s. a 37 Europe in a four

UK that is actually surprising because

on oh five and I'm a size male I am som

tum and six F six females so I'm wearing

these a full size smaller than my shoe

my regular shoe size i am a seven across

the board and every pair of shoes that I

wear and these are a six and they fit my

feet perfect okay so while I was in

Vancouver I bought a second pair of

hunters because like I said I was

wearing them basically everyday I bought

them in the green now these are again

the classic tall hunters they are in the

u.s. they are 150 dollars a pair quite

honestly I think that that price is

great for as long as mine have lasted I

want to hold them side-by-side for you

really quickly so that you can see the

green is about an inch taller then maybe

you have an inch taller isn't the black

pair these are the same boots but the

green are about five years newer so this

is a new design that you're going to get

I will say that the green which is I

bought I want to say maybe six months

ago now they were a little bit harder to

break in for whatever reason the rubber

on the newer design is a little bit

stiffer than the older and the first

couple times they wore at my feet

hurt like pretty badly they hurt in my

heel area was an after I wore him

several more times I started to break

them in and my feet got used to them so

they don't hurt my feet anymore they

again have the really cool side buckle

design I never never actually buckled

this one for whatever reason but I can

and the buckle actually says hunter on

it which is a just a great little detail

again the 3ds sticker now this is where

they differ a lot also from the the old

black pair that again are five years old

so it does have the skin the scalloped

toe but this is a newer design because

as you can see it's like a raised band

across the bridge of your foot and then

there's also a cutout back here and this

is a little bit more defined so it's

very subtle differences but they are

different overall from the original

model I think that the heel between the

old and the new so the heel as you can

see on the black is just a little bit

smaller than the heel on the green it's

um so the greens just got a little bit

of a of a thicker heel and also if you

look at the back there is a difference

because we've got the raised band there

and this is just a straight band all the

way up the back so just very very subtle

differences but these you can see as I'm

holding it are a lot more fun beer than

this see how much harder this is so cold

and then might just be because these are

these are older and I've broken them in

so much and the these are actually lined

with I got a little bit of a better

analogy I think they're lined with

neoprene

this is a printed in the black and in

the green it's just a plain black okay

so I want to add this up for you guys

really quickly the classic tall boots

are 150 dollars let's divide that by

five years so basically those boots cost

us $30 a years to wear for five years I

honestly think I'm going to get another

couple of years wear out of them so when

you think of it that way the price point

for the value for as often as I wear

these boots fantastic if you're going to

buy them and only wear them one year or

you buy them you only wear them once a

year then obviously it's not a great

purchase for you it bang for your buck

wise but for me I think one hundred and

fifty dollars for these boot

is great and I can't I highly recommend

them I think the quality is fantastic

they've held up so well throughout the

years and also against rain snow

whatever so highly recommend so here's

why you can wear these boots all year

long it's because of the hunter boot

socks I love these boots ox I picked up

three pairs I have right here while I

was in Vancouver I personally feel like

they easily turn your rain boots that

you can wear in the summer into rain

boots that you can wear throughout the

fall that really keep your feet warm and

then even insulated boot socks will keep

your feet warm for snow fantastic so I

have them in here I have them hot pink I

have them in like this really pretty

like purplish burgundy and then I also

have them in this gray which is the

sweaters you can see that the sweater

detail is a cable knit or you can get

just like the straight knit or you can

just get the police

my favorite pair is the off-white fleece

I don't have them right here but I wear

them in my pictures all the time if you

need any inspiration for a hunter boots

just scroll back through my Instagram

because all through my time in Canada I

was wearing hunters but this is what the

socks look like so it's just a fleece

sock and then if they fold over of the

sweater so I'm going to pop this in the

boots for you to see really quick you

just put them into your booth I actually

put the sock on my foot first then I put

the boot on and then I fold them over

the top but for time purpose and shot

purpose we're going to do it this way so

that you can see so this just folds

right over the top

nicely and what I love is that it also

has the hunter boot design or tag on it

so when you're covering it it also has a

cute little hunter if you keep your

emblem visible and then it folds over

and it just keeps your feet so cozy and

it's cute

this is especially cute when you wear it

with tights and a skirt or over your

drink jeans or leggings you can just

wear these so many different ways and

they're just adorable

so one pair of hunter boots with maybe I

don't know three pairs of boots ox can

you imagine the combinations you can

create so many different looks like

adorable the socks are pricey is there

$55 per pair but that's Canadian so u.s.

what is that like

more like 40 the quality of the socks

are fantastic obviously you don't have

to use the hunter boot socks I

personally prefer them because of the

way that they fold over they're made for

these boots they look incredible and the

out like I said the outfit options

limitless alright guys so that was my

full review of hunter boots again I love

them I personally highly recommend them

I would buy them for gifts for people

that's how much I love them personally

right now I have my eye on the baby pink

hunters have you seen them adorable and

also the baby blues I would love to have

them in both colors I think that they

are adorable and I can't wait to have a

little girl one day so I could put her

in the little little lady's school and

hunters are so cute I hope you enjoyed

this video I hope that you're also

Versailles - Playing in someone else's palace [Simply Travels Vlog Ep. 4] - Duration: 10:34.

(Shark Dance?)

(So Hye version)

(I'm sorry)

(Cute)

(Ugh)

(I'm sorry...)

Tradition s'il vous plaît

(Speaking in French)

(Two days in France, 75% localised)

DK: It's good

(What taste is this...)

DK: I can taste the expertise (Is this supposed to be good)

DK: Cream cheese? It might be better with it.

You should eat bread as is.

How is it?

You are having breakfast like a Parisienne.

DK: Bonjour. Park: This is it.

Before you enter the Palace

Please get your tickets online.

Otherwise, you might have to wait in the queue for a long time.

Since you have to buy it anyway

Print it before hand. (Link below)

Park: *Sings "I'm sorry for not being~ honest~"

I'm sorry for not being~ honest~

If this moment was a dream~

Strange....

Park: Because I don't know the song for Versaille's Rose (?)

Park: So I replaced it with Sailor Moon.

The thing you see before us

is the entrance to the Palace of Versailles

Since we have tickets already

we should technically go in quickly

(NOPE)

This line...

is for those without ticket???

(NO IT'S NOT)

The feeling...

Gut feeling...

It can't be the line to just enter right?

(BUT...)

It is... possible, if that is the ticket office

It does say "Billets"

(WHY ARE THINGS LIKE THIS CORRECT)

Well, let's check it out over there...

We can queue up later if we need to

Well, we ended up at the back of the line (Nooooo)

Wow, that's a long line

(Lost for words)

This is all because DK took a long time.

Park: He took 2 hours to prepare.

Mr D: Well, things happen.

What do you think?

Mr D: Get up early.

DK: The line goes pretty fast though.

DK: I mean, over the past 5 minutes... (Positive)

The funny thing is

Over the last 2 minutes, the line became twice as long

For personal trips (Extra tip)

Go to A

(Shark~)

DK: I don't think we should do the dance here

There is a really cute dance

DK: He must have gone nuts because of the queue

Park: "From head to toe, Oronamin C"

Park: Ms Oh Na Mi~

Park: "From head to toe~"

Park: All Oh Na Mi~

Can you do the dance for us?

(Thinking about it)

Park: You just have to run well

(Excited)

Park: Just do this well

We are inside the Palace now

Here are the paintings...

(The fresco is amazing)

Feels like heaven

DK: Would be even better if you could see it lying down

A short preview of the garden!

Very small part of the garden

Park: There are paintings in each area

And gold everywhere

I think this was glass room??? (Actually hall of mirrors)

It's like a hallway

The palace is shaped like a horseshoe after all

Here you have mirrors everywhere

So it should be mirror room or glass room

One of the most famous spots in the Palace

So we are now out of the palace

And out towards the garden

As you can see from the map here

You have garden types everywhere

Like in squares

(And more)

Let's head down and see a few of them

It might be too much to see all of them.

We will get tired.

Our feet...

We can't go all the way there

Park: Maybe around here

We are on the left side

So left after you go out from the Palace

This thing is really tall

Here is DK and here is Park in comparison

It's like a real maze in there

We wanted to hit the maze, but...

we ended up at a restaurant.

DK: We found a restaurant in the maze.

DK: My nose is running because it's so cold.

Do the shark dance :D

(OMG)

What are you doing lol

Turtle dance

DK: Turtle neck dance

(Park lost it)

DK: Dance to fix your neck

Park: My head hurts...

(My way)

DK: It's to fix your posture.

Try on the spectacles on top

DK: I can't.

DK: My face is too big

Another maze...

Park: 4 paths? Me: 3 I think

One... Two... Three...

Mr Park, what is your choice?

One

Two and Three

Park: We just go straight.

Path 2.

Park's choice?

Number 4 DK: Noooo

You have chosen number 4.

Another???

I came in the winter last time

I couldn't see flowers

Park: *Sings "Born in the winter~"

What on earth is that???

First time I have ever heard something like it

Park: "For you are beautiful~"

Left or Right

Left has no sunlight and right has all of it

(DK is already on his way)

You have chosen the right side

I think flowers should be here...

It's called allée de fleurs

Like flower alley?

But no flowers right now :(

We came all the way to the lake

I feel like throwing coins inside

What are you doing hahaha

Park: My phone's back camera doesn't work...

(Just reduce the length of the stick haha)

New way of using selfie sticks

Park: Where are the swans?

They are all over there

Swan party tonight~

Park: They are coming!

(Fun)

What's your name~?

Park: Solid stuff mate.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

(Behind stuff)

DK: Music Bank style?

Like spinning camera?

Screaming rapping?

Lee Sang Min's stuff

DK: Is this still running?

Yep.

Shark shark~

The giant larvacean Bathochordaeus - Duration: 4:04.

Meet the giant larvacean, Bathochordaeus.

The animal is actually the blue tadpole-looking thing.

This is the body, and this is its tail.

Bathochordaeus is considered a giant among larvaceans.

Take a look at this one.

It's about the size of breakfast muffin,

but it towers beside the tiny, regular variety of larvacean.

I know they don't look like much,

especially in the deep midwater,

where you've got bright colorful jellies,

big cool eyes,

and shimmering surfaces.

The competition for weirdness here is tough.

Take this silky medusa, for example,

which can dump all its tentacles as it swims away,

or this vampire squid, which appears to turn itself inside out.

Larvaceans can't do that, but what they can do is downright incredible.

The giant larvacean's claim to fame is the huge house it builds.

I'm talking about that big mucous bubble that surrounds the larvacean.

By the way, here is one without a house.

See the difference?

The house is made up of two filters and basically functions as an elaborate feeding apparatus.

Eating is quite a process for these little guys.

They eat tiny particles of dead or drifting plants and animals

that float through the water column.

Here is how they eat:

The outer filter traps larger particles too big for the animal to eat,

while the inner filter guides just the right size food particles into the larvacean's mouth.

Look at it beat its tail,

which pumps water through its house to keep those particles coming.

Eventually the filters get clogged and the larvacean abandons them.

The sinking houses are packed with food particles, and that's a good thing.

They transport nuggets of food to animals living even deeper.

If it weren't for the larvacean's discarded houses,

animals like these sea cucumbers would have a lot less to snack on.

Larvaceans are notoriously difficult for scientists to collect and study.

Imagine trying to catch a goober in a jar... That's pretty much what it would look like

to catch a larvacean house.

But MBARI researchers are using remotely operated vehicles, video cameras, and lasers

to study them right in their own habitat.

MBARI scientists just discovered a new species of giant larvacean,

and named it Bathochordaeus mcnutti.

That brings us to a total of three different species of giant larvacean here in Monterey Bay,

with possibly more out there.

See that brilliant blue outline on the tail?

That's the new one's most distinguishing characteristic.

Remember the larvacean that didn't have a house?

Well, it went right back to work building a new one.

Pretty incredible, right?

For the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, this is Teresa Carey.

Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon TBR - Duration: 5:36.

Hi everyone. I'm Rincey and this is Rincey Reads.

Today I'm going to be doing my Dewey's

24 hour read-a-thon TBR video. In case

you aren't aware, Dewey's 24 hour

read-a-thon is exactly what it sounds

like. It is a 24 hour period where you

try to read as much as you possibly can.

It's taking place on Saturday. Dewey's

24 hour read-a-thon is always fun

because it's just like a single day so

if you have the day free it's like the

perfect opportunity to just sit down and

read for the entire day. I'm recording

this video a little bit in advance.

So far I don't have plans on Saturday

really so I'm going to like sort of plan

for this to be my Saturday. Like I'm

going to try to avoid making plans if

possible. I mean obviously my family and

friends come before books but you know

I'll keep my Saturday relatively open as

much as I can. So, but things could

change between this recording and

Saturday itself. And again I'm recording

this early so first what I'm going to do

is I'm going to talk about what I'm

currently reading and then I'm going to

talk about what my TBR is. I put the air

quotes for a reason. You'll see in a

second. So there are two books that I'm

currently reading. The first one is

Heartless by Marissa Meyer but I am

highly expecting to be finished with

this book before the read-a-thon starts.

This is basically the book that I'm

reading on my commute and it's very

engaging and I'm moving very quickly

through it so I'm pretty much expecting that

I'll be done with this before the

read-a-thon starts. But if I'm not, then

this is priority number one. The other

book that I'm currently reading is The

Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak.

This one I'm having a little bit of a harder

time getting into because it switches

back and forth between basically like

two stories or two perspectives. That's

all I'm going to say without going into

it more. So there's a chance that I won't

be finished with this before the

read-a-thon starts and I'm not sure if

I'm actually going to read this during the

readathon though because it doesn't feel

like a good read-a-thon book. But I might.

So this was just me being like maybe

sort of I'll read it on Saturday but

it's very possible that I'll just put it

down for the Saturday and then just pick

it up again after the readathon's over in

case I need to. My real TBR is going to

be three three books. First I have fever

dream by Samantha Schweblin. This was

translated from Spanish by Meghan

McDowell. This book has been getting a

lot of really good reviews from people.

I've heard it's like insane I've heard

that it's a book that you want to read as much

as possible in one go which is why I've

been saving it for the read-a-thon.

I plan on just like sitting down with this

and powering through it as much as

possible. So yeah this is sort of like

priority number one. I also want to read

this book because I haven't been reading

that many books in translation so far

this year and so this will help with that.

The other book that I have is

Seeing Red by Lina Meruiane. Probably

mispronounced that. This one was also

translated by Megan McDowell from

Spanish. This is a fiction book that

follows the main character as she

basically like goes blind and I believe

that it's related to the author's

experience as well. I believe this one was

also just like translating to English

and released this year. I think I

heard about this as like one of the

translated books to check out this year.

So again, another one that I want to read

because it's a book in translation. Also

if I read only one of these books

I plan on marking one of them for the

book riot challenge of read a book by

a Central or South American author. So yeah,

these two are sort of like my top

priority for the day. If I read nothing

else and I only read these two I'll be

very happy. And then the final book that

I have on my TBR-ish, like I don't have

this as a very high priority. It's the

haunted bookshop by Christopher Morley.

Like I want to read this because I feel

like it's been sitting on my shelf

forever and I put it on like almost

every readathon TBR because it's like

small and short. And so I feel like I

should just get through it already and

mark this off my TBR. But again this is

third priority to the other two but I

also feel like this one will be really

different from the other two. So it might

be good to read in between them because

I feel like both of those books are

going to be either disturbing or mess

with my head a little bit or surreal or

something along those lines. So it might

be nice do you have a very like grounded

in reality type of book in between them.

So yeah this is sort of what I'm using

for that. So yeah that's basically my TBR-ish.

I highly, highly doubt I'm going to

be able to read more than that. If for

some reason I do I'll just pick

something random off my TBR. I was going

to go to the library and like pick up a

bunch of graphic novels or something to

stick in during the day but I kind of

want to read actual books that's what

I'm in the mood for right now. And also I

want to get some books off of my

physical TBR. If I need to I have another

art of the novella book.

That one's a Doestovsky one so I

feel like that one's going to be like a

little bit more heady than I may want

that day. But I also have a bunch of, I

have a couple of like short story

collections that I'm thinking about

picking up as well. So if I need to I can

pick that up. But yeah that's basically

what I plan on doing for the readathon.

I don't think I'm going to do an

individual wrap-up for the readathon.

I think I'm just going to incorporate it

into my monthly wrap-up since we are

basically at the end of the month right

now. But I will be doing Instagram story

updates so if you follow me on instagram,

I'll be doing story updates throughout

the day so that way you can see what

I'll be reading. I'll try to do Twitter

updates but I feel like Twitter always

distracts me. So yeah that's everything

that I have for you guys today. Let me

know down below if you're planning on

participating in the read-a-thon at all

and if you are let me know if you have

like a TBR video or anything like that up.

Or if you've read any of these books

definitely let me know what you thought

of them and if you think they would be

like good or bad for the read-a-thon. So yeah,

that's all I have for now and thanks for watching.
