Collapsing Islamic State's self-declared caliphate in Iraq and Syria will not be enough to slow the terror group's plots against the West and elsewhere, according to multiple U.S. and Western officials.

U.S. officials, in particular, are bracing for what could be a "significant lag" between the time Islamic State is routed from its remaining holdings in Iraq and Syria and when its brand and loyal operatives cease to pose a serious global threat.

"The very welcome defeat of ISIS's army-like capabilities in Iraq and Syria will not bring an end to the global terrorist attack threat that ISIS poses," Lieutenant General Michael Nagata cautioned Wednesday, using an acronym for the terror group. Nagata is the strategic operational planning director at the National Counterterrorism Center, a division of the U.S. intelligence director's office.

"ISIS's ability to export its ideology, its resources and people, and its intent to attack, they have demonstrated a global ability to do all these," Nagata told an audience at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington public policy research group. "They will continue to do so."

European officials, especially those from countries already victimized by IS plots, are equally alarmed as they stare down a complex set of threats that, for the moment, have been networked under the terror group's banner.

The challenge, many say, is Islamic State's approach to command and control, which is an organization's ability to exercise authority over a given area.

Operatives, supporters Officials think the group's external plotters rely on carefully cultivated operatives with specific instructions and on loose networks of supporters, whom the plotters are constantly trying to inspire to act on their own. There also is a possibility the two groups overlap, sometimes in ways that may be difficult to foresee.

"ISIS remains a dangerous enemy," a U.S. National Security Council official told VOA on condition of anonymity, noting the ongoing White House review of the country's anti-IS strategy.

A key part of that review, the official said, has been "to understand and prepare for the evolution the group might undertake."

On the surface, there seems to have been little change in the terror group's approach, with IS leaders and supporters continuing their drumbeat of calls for attacks on the West.

"To the supporters of the caliphate in America, Russia and Europe, the enemy's interest can easily be targeted by you," IS spokesman Abu Hassan al-Muhajir said in an audio message published Tuesday on social media. "Make the enemy busy with itself so they can be distracted from targeting the nation of Islam."

At the same time, IS propagandists have been trying to capitalize on attacks when they happen, like the one by Khalid Masood, 52, late last month on Westminster Bridge in London that killed three people and wounded dozens.

British officials have said they think Masood acted alone, although IS claimed responsibility.

"ISIS continues to publicly encourage actions that benefit its cause and distract from its battlefield losses," a U.S. counterterrorism official told VOA, adding that the group also "has shown its opportunism by stepping up its claims of inspired attacks even in cases that do not appear to be connected."

And there are indications IS is trying to ramp up the pressure.

"Following London, the group has increased its efforts to persuade supporters in the West to execute additional attacks," said Michael S. Smith II, a terrorism analyst who has consulted with the U.S. and British governments. "Islamic State officials have been devolving explicit directives to supporters here via the group's propaganda."

Capabilities degraded But U.S. military officials say efforts on the ground in Iraq and Syria have weakened the terror group's capabilities, noting almost half of IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's inner circle has been killed.

Former IS spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, considered to be the architect of the group's external plots, was one of the first to die, targeted in an airstrike near al-Bab, Syria, last August.

Then in November, a series of U.S. airstrikes killed Boubaker al-Hakim, in charge of plotting attacks on the West, as well as Salah Gourmat and Sammy Djedou, both of whom had been linked to the Paris terror attacks in 2015.

Still, some officials harbor deep concerns that IS may be capable of pulling off a more complex or devastating attack, noting the group has been able to use the past several years to build and entrench its external operations across Europe, while also finding ways to reach into central and south Asia, and even into the Asia-Pacific region.

"They've already dispatched operatives. They may have teams who can attack," said Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a terrorism research group in Washington. "The virtual-planner model will remain feasible."

Such concerns have resonated in countries like France and Belgium, which have seen relatively large numbers of residents flock to Syria and Iraq to join IS, while those countries also struggle with Islamist radicalization at home.

"The French are aware that this terrorism will strike again," the French Interior Ministry's Muriel Domenach warned this week during a visit to Washington, pointing to 12,000 active cases tied to radicalization.

And she warned that even those who appear to have acted alone almost certainly had help. "Most of those we thought were lone wolves proved to be Daesh-inspired or even Daesh-commanded," she said, using the terror group's Arabic acronym.

In neighboring Belgium, authorities have 200 active terror-related investigations, with the number of terror convictions more than doubling since 2014.

"For Belgium, this is a really big number," said Cedric Janssens de Bisthoven with the Belgium Embassy in Washington. "We're in this for the long haul."

Returning fighters Belgium and other European countries also are deeply concerned about the potential impact of foreign fighters returning from the front in Syria and Iraq.

"We still in Belgium have around 250 [Belgian] fighters in Syria, in Iraq," said Thomas Renard, a senior fellow at the Royal Institute for International Relations, an independent research group in Brussels. "The problem is that those people who will return now, we cannot assume that they return because they are disillusioned. They are returning because there is nothing to be done [in Syria and Iraq]."

Such a return home is probably more difficult now than it once was, with efforts to shut down the flow of foreign fighters to Syria and Iraq also making it more difficult for fighters to move back. Still, intelligence officials note that IS operatives, including some tied to the terror attacks in Paris and Brussels, have successfully used forged documents.

Yet, what frightens U.S. and other Western officials most is that the intelligence has provided "very little precision" about the movements of foreign fighters or other operatives.

"It's hard to identify these people," said Nagata of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center. "The chaos around Syria ... if you want to hide, you can hide."

"We have to be patient. We are not going to end this threat this year," he added. "I don't think we can identify a time horizon."

How to Meditate for Beginners - A Definitive Guide - Duration: 5:49.

Recently I made a video on how to be happy and there I discussed about how mindfulness

can help you achieve happiness.

But the biggest question was how to be mindful?

Well, I did answer that by pointing to meditation being the key to mindfulness but there was

this another question, How exactly to meditate?

Hello Everyone, I am Divyanshu.

You are watching Boost Your Brain and in this video I am going to give you a beginners

guide on how to meditate.

In case you missed out on my videos on how to be happy, you can click here or you can

check for the link in the description below.

So, lets begin.

So the very first question that comes to our mind is, where should I meditate?

The answer to this is ANYWHERE.

You can meditate while sitting on your chair, or while sitting on the floor or while lying

on your bed.

However, theres certainly is an optimal way to meditate.

I would recommend not to meditate while lying on your bed as you tend to fall asleep.

Meditating while sitting on a chair doesnt get your back straight or your heads in level

and hence, I wont recommend that either.

So, that leaves us with sitting straight on the floor.

It is the most optimal and beneficial way to meditate as it keeps your back straight

which in turn keeps you wide awake for a long time.

So now that you know about where you should meditate, lets try to understand the most

beneficial posture to meditate.

So, while you are sitting straight on floor, keep your feet on top of each other.

When you do this, you will automatically feel how straight your back gets and how powerful

this posture is.

However, its completely fine if you arent really comfortable with that and you want

to sit while criss-crossing your feet on top of each other.

Rest your hands on your thighs and palm on top of each other as if forming a cup shape

with your palm.

This relaxes your shoulders and hands in a great way and aids in keeping a straight back

for long.

Keep your head in level, not tilted upwards or downwards just facing forward.

Now when it comes to eyes, it really depends on what technique you are going to use.

Some technique needs you to close your eyes while some needs your eyes open.

However, for the beginners and in accordance with the technique I am recommending, you

will need to close your eyes.

Once you are in proper posture, make sure you minimize background noise.

This can easily be done by using earplugs which you can purchase from a chemist shop.

These are really cheap, mostly one pair is less than a dollar and you can use them to

prevent background noises.

I will link up one in description following which you can buy online.

Alternatively, you can also use cotton but they are not as effective as these ear plugs.

Now the most common question, how long should I meditate?

I personally do it for 15 minutes but for beginners, I would recommend 4-5 minutes.

Now, the biggest problems for the beginners is that they really get bored while sitting

doing nothing.

Time seems to slow down time when you first start meditating.

Their mind is always on the watch confirming if they have completed their 5 minutes.

So, I would highly recommend to keep a timer.

This way you wont get deviated as you know that timer will sound only when you have completed

your 5 minutes.

Once you start practising it daily, you can increase the timing and you can even get rid

of ear plugs as you will now be more focused and you wont need them to concentrate better.

Now the biggest question of all?

What do I do during meditation?

As I told you, there are 100s of forms of meditation.

Some requires you to focus on your surroundings while some requires you to focus on your inner

sounds.

The one that I will be telling you today is the most common one which we call as Mindfulness

Breathing Meditation.

It is just as powerful and insightful as any other form of meditation.

So as the name suggests, you need to entirely focus on your breathing.

First things first, use only your nose while breathing.

Then take a deep breath and try to focus on the pattern of your inhale and exhale.

Try to observe the way air is moving into your nostrils.

Try to feel it.

Time your inhale and exhale patterns and also focus on the gap you take between each inhale

and exhale.

Do not think about anything else, do not judge yourself if you are doing it proper, just

observe it.

Now once you start doing it, many thoughts will start coming to your mind which will

distract you like what should I have in breakfast today?

How long have I been meditating?

But, I wanted to lose weight, is meditation helping in that?

So, as soon as these thoughts creep in, focus back on your breathing pattern.

Just be at ease and focus on the sound your heart-beat makes and all the internal sounds

which you can hear.

Now, while you are doing it for the first time, you will see that youll get distracted

after every 5 to 6 seconds.

Do not panic.

Its completely normal.

It happens with everyone who starts for the very first time.

Just keep trying to get your focus back on breathing.

Soon you will be better at it.

In order to not get distracted, I personally try to focus more on that little bridge between

inhale and exhale.

Thats the time when your body is in transition when you are breathing.

While meditating, avoid body movements like itching, twitching and all that.

Just focus back on breathing.

Following these will make you more mindful every passing day.

Now another question, how often should I meditate?

Well, in order to really start seeing the benefits of meditation, you need to do it

every single day.

I personally prefer 15 minutes on daily basis when I wake up.

Some people do it twice a day.

So it depends completely on you, but make sure you dont miss it any day.

Practice meditation for at least for 5 minutes every day.

Now some of you might ask about how long will it take to start seeing the benefits.

Well, it depends on factors like your frequency, the time you put in and much more.

Some people are more mindful and will take less time while some will take more time.

For me, it took around 20 days of daily meditation to see the initial results.

I found myself having more control on my mind, in a good mood most of the time, being less

negative and feeling healthy overall.

Once you keep practicing it you will keep seeing many more benefits, which in turn brings

us to our next question and that is, what are the benefits of meditation?

I will be making a separate video about benefits of meditation and some other techniques of

meditation.

So make sure you are subscribed to my channel in order to not miss on those and hey, this

subscription is completely free.

Comment out if you have any questions as I reply to every single comment.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone - [PV] "Piano x Forte x Scandal" (DLC) (Rom/Eng/Esp Subs) - Duration: 3:58.

Video grabado por Karin

Day after day, I follow along with the commonplace concerto that is me

Just follow the conductor's baton and harmony is guaranteed

Your classic honors student, rather devoted

But you've gotta

Ad lib to the upbeat, or things'll get bland

If I'm doomed to fade away living life according to some musical score

I'd rather drown in a whirlpool if immorality

Words whispered so gently that the proof of love

Shining from your fingers

Might fade away are a forbidden serenade

If I close my eyes at three in the morning

And only think of you

My friends might say that's not a good thing!

But those words do nothing to quench my thirst

And with that charmless phrase, my playing goes awry

Atop this scattered score

Before this love, already cracked, breaks to pieces

Bind it together with a kiss, the rhapsody begins to spin

Ride this accelerating rhythm of love

To test our feelings for each other

We can reach fortissimo tonight, hold me tight, tight

Our voices overlapping will melt into the darkness

So don't worry

We're not doing anything wrong

APPLE CLIPS CAPTION FAIL! ⁉⁉ - Duration: 7:59.

Whats up guys today Apple released a new app called Clips Apple Clips and we are going

to highlight some of the features, some of the things they could improve on and lets

get into it so we have here theres the Clips.

So off the bat this is like a Snapchat, Instagram and I guess a little bit of YouTube cuz its

all video.

But theres some pretty impressive technology behind it.

So the first thing is you can do front camera or back camera.

You can record for as long as you want now I dont know if thats proven but in theory

you can record as long as you want so we will start off record testing this out this is

like the first one then it creates that clip boom your done.

now you can go back to it, you can play it and obviously it will play next thing you

want to do is this where it gets amazing!. you have all of these options for the captions

now when you do captions lets we choose this oneyou hold to record and as im recording

its captioning it in real time which is insane now it looks like its getting word for word

but if i speak faster or anything like that then it starts to get a little bit crazy I

guess it cant handle alot now lets see if theres any mistakes its not perfect but im

sure overtime as people start using it it will improve then if you want to get rid of

the text for your next clip you go to the 3 circles and now this is where you have your

filters so think instagram so you have Noir which is like your black and white then you

have fade then you have comic book which looks crazy and then you have ink which is like

somebodies art form those are pretty cool and then you have none where you keep it the

same.

Next video lets say I dont want any caption and then we'll do ink cuz it looks cool so

you can even do a photo so boom I took a picture and then hold to add it as long as you want

and then boom there it is now you go back to none.

so the final one is sort of like an instagram feel where you put your location and different

type of wording filters that there are we can have a wow in there and have a yes in

there and then you can have a nice check mark right there so thats that and then we can

take a video oh can we lets see nice and then you have this now can you rotate

it I guess you can so you have wow and now we record that video boom thats done this

is how you create your own I guess clipsits not like another social media platform but

I guess another tool you get to use.

And then you have your intros and outros that you can use tonight one looks like a news

one or you have a cheers or good morning, hello or lets do lets go so its downloading

and then boom lets go and there it is.

After that you music so you can have my music which are songs already downloaded into your

phone I have this particular one because I am an Apple Music subscirber you cant take

any of their music cuz obviously streaming and copywrites and all this other stuff but

then you have soundtracks.

So you have all this list of different soundtracks and the ones you choose obviously get downloaded

unto your phone and you get to use it.

Earlier today messing around with it I got where is it I think it was this one nope its

not this one.

It will start playing it go back and the music is there.

you click done and then you have your entire clip that you just made.

ok so before you saw that there was no recording so I went back and i edit it and went to the

caption so it can include the caption.

once your done with that you can either cut the clip mute it if you want so for example

this one ill mute it theres no sound cuz it is just a picture and then we will click down

here in the corner with the arrow and it should have downloaded somewhere on my phone.

once your done you can go and send as a message or save video and share it where ever you

want to share it.

We will save the video and the following clip will be the one i did earlier today thats

alittle but more go quickly but I like the way it turned out.

So that was a hands on experience with the clips app, now things that they can improve

and see in the forseeable feature is the captions.

the caption when your speaking fast it will be able to detect it alot better.

I think its amazing now that it does it in real time.

we will probably see more of the little filters the comic one which is cool the art one which

is like the sketch one.

which throws it back to the older samsung phones when they had those filters built in

when you took your photo.

If you like this video let me get a thumbs up make sure to subscribe.

Ido some daily vlogs Im going to be traveling soon so thats going to be fun and yea so more

to come thank you for watching bye

FTM Exiting Life Udates! (Tygh) - Duration: 8:27.

Hey guys, welcome back to Paperboy.

It's Friday's with Tygh and this weeks topic is Life Updates!

Gosh, we haven't had an update video in a long time so, so much has happened.

I can't tell you everything so I'm just going to go back from January I guess, the beginning

of the year.

I went to the First Event Conference in Massachusettes.

I had a wonderful time.

I went to the seminars they had there and they have lovely banquets and dinners at night.

And just gatherings and get together's.

I also did the fashion show that they had going on there.

This was my second year doing this.

I'm going to show you a clip of the outfits that I was wearing and what I did.

So take a look. It's Tygh Last year Tygh did a tribute to his Indian ancestry so this year

he celebrates his African roots by dressing as an African dancer.

In traditional African fabric completes a grass ensemble, otherwise it may have been

too much skin for Tygh's sake and his wife's I think.

Look out for his spear and necklace, shows his many conquests.

Thank you Tygh!

Growing up in the 1970's Tygh feels that nothing is impossible with him on the case.

Seen here is a vintage plaid polyester suit, notice the fat ass tie his aweful matching

shirt, the sign of the times.

In addition he's wearing off white crocodile shoes, heart shaped shades and an attache

case filled with the necessities to solve any mystery.

Welcome back Tygh, Living in New Hampshire, Tygh looks forward to hitting the slopes each

winter.

Here he is ready to conquer the mountains in his slolomn outfit.

Tygh's dapper son Ben is joining him onstage tonight.

Showing his support in his dress clothes, featuring an Ambercombe and Fitch shirt, bow

tie and Cole Hahn wing tips.

This really is a family show..Thank you Ben.

That's awesome love and support from his child.

We also went to the state Legislature to support and anti discrimination bill for transgender

people.

Unfortunately the bill failed to pass, but we're going to continue fighting for this

bill in the state of New Hampshire.

Thirdly I started a new website, It is called transgendervisibilitymatters.com.

I created this website.

transgendervisibilitymatters.

On this site you can find these cards that I have.

The transgender encounter project cards.

I want to talk a little bit also about people that are sending me stories, their coming

out stories.

I'm going to start a blog page on my website and I'm going to submit those writings to

my blog page.

We will have these shirts available pretty soon here.

Visibility on the front and on the back it says matters.

You can see it.

We also have wristbands.

This is the stealth one.

It says visibility matters, the rainbow one and a trans flag one.

I also want to mention The B Cup Project.

Rachael, Stacey and I, we do our best to send out care packages to people.

We showcase artists.

They can be singers, writers, poets, people that draw, paintings.Anything.

We write letters to prisoners, we write letters to people who are down and out.

We send Christmas cards to people, This is just our way of giving back to the community

and making the community feel loved.

Another conference we just went to was called the Keystone conference.

And that's in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

I had a great time meeting people.

Met some people from social media that I hadn't met before but only kind of spoke with online,

so that was kind of fun.

I also conqured another one of my fears, which is I hate bridges.

I really, really hate bridges.

You can do it.

No I can't.

You can do it.

I hate bridges!

You can do this.

I'm good.

You did it babe, I'm proud of you.I did it!.

Look at over there, there's water everywhere.

It looks like a big ocean!

So I started my transition two years ago.

My biggest dysphoric part of my body was the top.

My chest.

I had no desire of having any sort of bottom surgery, but now my thoughts have changed

and I'm considering it so I was able to go to this conference and talk to some doctors

about bottom surgery.

I got some really great information and I'm pretty sure I'm going to go forward with that.

That's another huge life update!

In fact, I just wrote the thousand dollar deposit check today, so I think things are

going to start progressing.

The garage door is going to open in a second.

There it goes.

So I've also been doing binder giveaways, and I'm also doing Packer/boxer giveaways.

The Packer /boxer giveaways are donated by Tranzwear.

I'll put the link below.

I'd like to thank everybody who has donated binders to me, or have donated money to me.

I thank Flannel Fly 66 for helping spread the word about my visibility bracelets and

also about my transgender encounter project cards.

Also on my website, transgendervisibilitymatters.com I'll put the link below, I have a donate button.

If you would like to give a monetary gift there is a donate button and that will enable

me to continue to have these binder giveaways.

Other than that I'm just looking forward to having some warmer weather and I'm looking

forward to planning a good summer vacation.

Until next week, talk to you then.

Bye.

Watching Traffic l Teen Book Review - Duration: 4:15.

Hey guys it's Carrie Anne from EverythingMom

and this week's book pick is for a

young adult called Watching Traffic by

Jane Ozkowski and I apologize if I'm

pronouncing the last name wrong.

So this story takes place at the end of high

school and a group of friends living in

a small town are sort of on the cusp of

making that next transition in life.

Whether it's Melissa who's getting ready

to leave the small town and head to the

east coast to attend and arts university

or Lincoln who's decided to take a break

from school and head off to Australia

without any kind of plan just to travel

around. Or there's Emily who is excited

to start the next part of her life, the

adult portion of her life, but unlike her

friends she doesn't seem to have a plan

and that kind of is a little unnerving

for her. So this book sort of covers that

timeframe, that summer month period where

these friends who work together, hang out

at each others house for parties, come to

terms with not only is this the end of

school and the start of a new part of

their life, it also is a change in their

friendship. That they've been together in

this small town they know everybody and

now people are venturing off into the

unknown. Into new areas where the three

of them really won't be hanging out

together anymore. A story really that

talks about or touches on sort of that

awkwardness, that uncertainty, the

excitement. All those mixed emotions that

you encounter when you come to the end

of high school and then what's next.

What's next to that journey of adulthood.

Emily's sort of stuck on the fence not

really sure what she wants to do and so

she struggles with those feelings.

she struggles with the change in her bond

with her friends

and the realization that everything is going

to change. And it also gives you sort of

a little snapshot of what life for a

young teen is like in a small town.

Like many small towns that start small and

the encroaching urban world kind of

reaches in with this highway that pretty

much divides the town and causes this

constant hum over the town. So this this

overpass where Emily and her friends

tend to hang out to watch people coming

and going passing through not even

stopping in their small town. It is sort

of this central meeting place that

divides sort of the area they're

familiar with to the unknown and is a is

a common element that starts the story

and ends the story. So watching traffic,

along with the characters hitting those

life choices, I think is a great book for

your young adult, your teen who might be

in that point in their life. To feel that

they're not the only one. To feel that

they may not have their their path

sorted out. To relate to these characters

and their friendship and small town in

making these choices. It's a good read

for young adults in that capacity.

So that's this week's pick for young adults.

Watching Traffic. I will post a link to

the full review down below. As always you

can find me here on Wednesdays talking

about books for kids, or teens in this

case, but I'm also here talking family

travel, mom confessions, thoughts going

through my mind and just other fun

family stuff. So don't forget to

subscribe so you know when the next

video is published and until next time,

ciao.
