Welcome to the JellyTelly 5 Minute Family Devotional

Let's learn about Easter week!

Monday

Today's verse is: 2 Samuel 7:13

He shall build a house for my name,

And I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Tell them about the promise

What promise?

You mean the one about the land and the nation

And the blessing for the world?

The one God gave Abraham?

Oh no! It's a new promise, for David.

That's right Brother Louie.

God is so pleased with David

that in chapter 7 of 2 Samuel

he makes David an amazing promise.

God tells David that someone from his family,

one of his descendants, will rule over God's people forever.

Woah! That's a big promise!

It sure is.

This promise is called the Davidic Covenant.

Davidic?

What kind of word is Davidic?

The word Davidic means "about David"

or "having to do with David."

Oh! So if something was about Ian,

it would be "Ianic."

Well…

And if something is about Clive it would be: "Clive-ic"

Hahaha, Clive-ic. That's funny.

Hilarious.

This promise for David, or Davidic Covenant,

is so important that in the New Testament

when Matthew talks about God's rescue plan,

he puts King David right in the middle.

Let's review today's verse!

2 Samuel 7:13

He shall build a house for my name,

And I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Let's talk. What did we learn?

What was the amazing promise we learned that God made to David?

Do you know the name of that special promise?

Let's pray together.

What are some promises to God we can make as a family?

Let's thank God for his promises to us!

The Beer Breakdown: Lager Vs. Ale - Duration: 2:12.

(cracking)

(splashing) (energetic indie rock music)

- [Man] Beer:

it's one of the oldest and most popular alcoholic drinks,

with production dating back over 5,000 years.

Beer consistently ranks

as the preferred alcoholic beverage for Americans,

and April 7th is National Beer Day,

(moves into jubilant orchestral music)

the same day that beer was legalized after the Prohibition.

- [Announcer] It is a dramatic moment

as President Roosevelt signs the bill legalizing beer

after 13 years in which its sale was prohibited!

(moves into energetic indie rock music)

- [Man] There are hundreds of varieties of beer.

But whether you're drinking a pilsner,

stout, or pale ale, everything falls under two types.

Any guesses?

(moves into classy jazzy music)

- [Announcer] Open a Budweiser and pour yourself

the most inviting glass of beer you've ever tasted!

(moves into energetic indie rock music)

- [Man] Almost every beer you drink today

will be some form of lager or ale.

(burping)

Both are made the exact same way, but use separate yeasts,

which makes a difference in the fermentation process.

Fermentation is what makes a beer into, well, a beer.

It's when the malt grains

are broken down and turned into alcohol.

Lagers use a top-fermenting yeast,

while ales use a, you guessed it, bottom-fermenting yeast.

Because of this, lagers age much more slowly,

and at cooler temperatures.

This gives them a thin consistency with a mild taste.

Ales ferment much more quickly, and at warmer temperatures.

This typically makes them much thicker

and more full-flavored.

Lagers can range from pilsners and Oktoberfests

to well-known international brews like Heineken and Corona,

and even more traditional American beers

like Budweiser, Coors, or Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Ales have a wide variety, from Guinness to Hoegaarden

all the way to Sierra Nevada and IPAs.

Despite there being only two major types,

brewers are consistently able to make countless styles.

And with the explosion of micro-breweries,

craft beers, and home-brewing,

new beers are being made every day.

HBO New Promo 2017 Analysis - Game of Thrones - Duration: 6:40.

Hello everyone.

HBO posted another promo a few hours ago.

Just as in the previous video, almost all the characters are saying "aaaahhhh."

This time, Jon and Dany both are saying it too.

Once again, I am only putting the Game of Thrones & Westworld parts in it, and you can

watch the full trailer from the links in the description below.

You must be thinking we have already seen that, so what's new in it?

What's new is that we also get a glimpse at the costumes of a lot more characters like

Arya, Brienne, Tyrion etc.

One thing that is common in ALL of their dresses is that they are all dressed for winter.

All of them are wearing warm clothes.

So, let's take a look at what their dresses could mean.

Where they will head in season 7.

Lord Varys, Davos, Theon, Tormund & Jaime are wearing the same clothes they were wearing

in season 6.

Tormund is bleeding in this promo too.

I really think he might die in season 7.

Theon is in his armor.

Which means he will definitely be a part of a battle, whether it's on land or sea, it

remains to be seen.

But if I have to guess, I'll say it will be on sea because we last saw him wearing

the same armor when Dany set sail in the season finale.

Jaime is wearing the same dress he did at the twins where he had a talk with Walder

Frey.

Jaime is back in King's landing now and I guess trying to keep Cersei in line will

take all his time.

Haha..

He will have no time to focus on his clothes..

Just kidding.

The ones who have a new dress are Arya, Brienne, Tyrion, Missendei & the hound.

Arya is in the northern clothes, just like the one I posted in the season 7 set photos

video a few months ago.

Only now she also has a woollen cloak.

She is definitely heading north too.

She also has needle in her hands and she seems ready to bake some more pies.

The hound is wearing black clothes too.

I guess he will head north with the brotherhood.

Brienne is also wearing fur, I guess it means she is back in winterfell too.

The last time we saw her, she was leaving Riverrun with Pod.

As for Tyrion and Missendei, just like Dany, they are wearing black colors too.

I guess when they are coming to Westeros, they want to impress the lords of westeros

to follow Daenerys.

So, they are dressed in half Targaryen colors.

Tyrion is wearing his hands badge and Missendei is wearing a broach of three headed dragon

in a circle for house Targaryen.

It's a little different than the one but Dany is her queen.

She is supposed to wear something different.

The last time we saw them, they were all in summer clothes, but not now.

And if you have watched the Long walk trailer, you already know that Dany will head to Dragonstone

instead of King's Landing.

What really surprised me was seeing Hodor say Hodor in the trailer.

But this is the cast for season 7.

I think it means that we will get to see Hodor again in season 7.

On his left shoulder, we can see cut.

Is it just me or is there dried blood on it?

I wonder if he will appear as a wight or just a dead body?

What do you think?

Jon, Cersei, Dany, Bran.

They are all in the same clothes as the previous trailer.

Dany is in her Targaryen colors of Red and black with a three headed dragon broach.

Bran is also in warmer clothes and wearing a fur, and it doesn't seem like a dress

from the Night's watch.

So, I think he will make it to Winterfell too.

Jon is in some new warmer clothes too.

You can also see him wearing a gorget, although, it's not as beautiful as Cersei's.

I'd like to give a shoutout to Sean Killackey, who said, "One detail I didn't look at

before..

Cersei's collar.

Not only that it's higher than before, it also has some spikes on it.

I think she is more worried about the valonqar than ever before."

That was a really cool observation.

Cersei is definitely worried about her safety, even if the show doesn't include the Valonqar

part in it.

Remember who else was paranoid about his safety and saw traitors everywhere?

Yes, you guessed it right.

The Mad king.

And who killed the mad king?

The kingslayer aka Jaime Lannister.

I was discussing this with a few friends and they don't think the collar on Cersei's

neck means anything.

So, I wanna know what you think about it?

Because I THINK that this means that Jaime will be the one to kill her.

She has spikes and Jaime has a golden hand.

And the prophecy says that the valonqar will choke her with his hands.

Jaime will definitely be able to choke her using his golden hand.

And she won't let anyone else near her without that gorget.

I'll post my "Howland Reed's role in Jon's birth" video tomorrow at 7 pm IST

or 9:30 am EST, so stay tuned for that.

Make sure to subscribe my channel and click on the bell next to it, so that you won't

miss it.

So, What do you think about this theory?

Does the spikes on Cersei's gorget means that Jaime will be the one to kill her?

And what do you think about the costumes of other characters and what does it mean?

Don't forget to tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Tutorial Smule - Como Melhorar a Qualidade da sua Voz - Duration: 6:44.

What up Guys, how's ya'll doing? Philipp over here

What this video is gonna be about?

A lot of you guys keep asking me questions about Smule!

(Brazilian Reference)

So guys this app is pretty cool, you have the chance to sing with people, to meet new people

to join them on collabs and to sing awesome songs. It's a really great app!

If you like to sing and you still don't have a Smule account but you're somehow watching this video,

stop everything and go there. Make an account for yourself because it's worth it!

But going back to the video's theme, a lot of people has been asking me:

Philipp, how do you do to sing with those cool studio microphones?

How do you do? Because your sound is different, it's not muffled and you don't use the regular mics.

So, I'm here to answer you this question guys!

How to have a better sound quality on the app

actually not only on the app. Whichever audio project you might have you can use it to make it better

So, if you are a song writer, if you like to sing or if you wanna send your material to someone

You'll be able to turn your mobile into a "studio" so to speak

You'll be able to do a high quality recording and to send it to whomever you wanna send it

I even did another video on how to sound better on smule by the way

but this one is gonna be a bit different

On that video I even specified that nobody would need to spend money

because it all came down to make adjustments on the effects on a way that it sounded better.

If you didn't watch this video yet I'll link to it on the end of this video

and I'll leave a link on the description box bellow for you to watch it.

So this one will be different because spend some money will be necessary. It's not expensive

I mean here in Brazil it is but if you wanna import it is not gonna cost you a lot.

So what it is?

Well, it's this interface here. This one is by Tascam and it's called iXZ.

What is it? It's an audio interface intended for mobiles

Now there's even an adapter that you can use it to connect it on your DSLR camera

So this can be interesting too if you have a Canon, a Nikon or whatever camera

you'll be able to make some awesome projects by connecting it to better microphones.

So how do you do?

You take this P2 output and connect it to the ear bud jack on your phone

and on the other side we have this input were we can connect either a microphone or an instrument

it has two connections XLR (balanced) or P10 / 6.5mm (known in Brazil as Banana plug)

and it has this other 2 buttons.

This first one is a switch between the voice audio and the instrument audio (Mic or Line)

because the levels and the way the interface works is different for voice and for instruments.

And this other one is the Phantom Power button.

What is it? If you're gonna use a "studio" microphone or a condenser mic as it is known

You'll probably need to use this phantom power button,

I don't know if you're able to see it (I'll even ask to Paulo: If you can do me this favor)!

Back there I have one of those mics. (And another one here in the front)

So if you wanna use one of those mics you will need this phantom power button.

This imput will rise the power current till 48V which is necessary for those mics to work.

My case is different because my mics are tube mics

which means they have a box (Remote control Unit) that I connect to the power so I don't need that

But if you have those regular condenser mics (regular here doesn't mean cheap or bad) doesn't matter what

brand they are. Since Behringer to Neumann, all of them need the phantom power to work properly.

Then here we have the volume button (your input volume, whether mic or instrument)

and on the other side of it along with the output connector we have the ear bud jack

so you connect this one to your phone

then you connect your headphone here

and on the other side you connect the mic or the instrument of your preference and it's done.

Whether on Smule app by singing some song or joing someone else, whather working on another audio project

such as Garage Band foi iOS (I'm not sure if Android has the same app but probably they do)

or whichever app where you can record multi tracks

all you have to do is use one track to record your voice and another to record an instrument

and the Party is ready!

Or you can even use this adapter that I told you about and record it directly on your DSLR camera.

I know that there are companies such as Rhodes who does specific mics for DSLR cameras

but for example, if you are recording someone playing live with a DSLR camera,

maybe it will be better if you use one of those condenser mics even though Rhodes has awesome products.

So thats it guys!

You can find it on eBay or Amazon for U$ 39,90 (last time I checked)

here in Brazil as everybody knows that we are constantly robbed by anyone and everyone we can find it on

Mercado Livre (Shopping website) for about R$ 350,00

but if you import it correctly you won't pay that much.

If anybody need some help or if you want this interface but you're having any problems with getting it

please leave your comment on the box bellow and I'll try to help you the best way I can.

So guys this was our theme for today, how to have a better sound quality on your recordings

One of those interfaces will definitely solve your problems,

Tascam isn't the only company who does those interfaces

But I chose this one because it's both the cheaper and the most known interface.

So that's it guys, please subscribe to my channel if you haven't already

a big hug to all of you guys I hope you have a nice week or weekend depending on the day you're watching this video

until the next video. Peace!!!

This Badger Buried a Whole Baby Cow! - Duration: 4:48.

Admit it: if you have someone to make you chicken soup and give you tissues, having

a cold is almost a little bit fun.

Yeah you're sick, but you don't have to go to work and you can just sleep all day

or watch Sherlock

If you're on your own, though, you still have all the mucus and headaches, but no extra

pampering.

So being sick sucks.

A new study published in the journal Health Psychology has even found scientific evidence

of this!

It turns out, being lonely can actually make a cold feel worse.

To kick off this experiment, 213 volunteers answered a bunch of questions to measure how

lonely they felt and how strong their social networks were -- basically, how many connections

they had with family, friends, coworkers, and everyone else they might interact with

in a typical week.

Then, researchers used nasal drops to expose them to a strain of rhinovirus, the culprit

behind the common cold.

The participants stayed in quarantine for five days, where they reported their symptoms

daily using a scoring system that's standard for these kinds of studies.

They rated how bad they felt on a scale of zero to four.

After the researchers statistically analyzed all the data, they found that loneliness and

social ties didn't seem to affect how likely someone was to get sick after squirting viruses

up their nose.

But feeling lonely was a strong predictor of how bad people's self-reported cold symptoms

were -- even after accounting for a whole bunch of things like age, sex, education level,

income, marriage, body mass, and even the time of year.

The actual size of people's social networks, measured by the survey they took, didn't

have this effect.

Only how lonely they felt seemed to matter!

In other words, your perception of loneliness can impact how crappy you feel during a cold,

regardless of how many friends you actually have.

So, the psychological toll of social isolation can have some serious physical effects.

Past studies have suggested that it can increase your risk of heart disease, for instance,

and might even worsen the effects of breast cancer.

And the researchers suggest that this is more evidence that doctors need to consider their

patients' emotional well-being, not just their vital signs, to really understand sickness.

Meanwhile, in Utah, some animals probably felt pretty great when tons of food appeared

out of nowhere in their backyard.

And the scientists that left the treats got a surprising new peek into American badger

behavior, which they reported in a paper published this week.

Bird researchers from the University of Utah were hoping to learn more about vultures and

other scavengers, so they set out seven baby cow carcasses in the mountains west of Salt

Lake City.

Animals would visit the tasty decomposing meat, and motion-activated cameras automatically

snapped photos of them.

That way, the scientists could download the image files and see what kinds of scavengers

turned up.

At least, that was the plan.

But when a student went back to check on the carcasses a week after they were set out,

one had gone missing.

At first he was bummed because he thought a large predator dragged it away from the

cameras, which wouldn't be that great for the study.

But then he noticed that the dirt was all dug up.

And the photos from the camera trap revealed the real culprit -- a badger had dug a pit

under the dead calf and then buried the entire thing over the course of five days.

That same badger spent weeks visiting the site, feasting on aged veal tartare.

And a second badger partially buried another calf carcass nearby, so this wasn't just

one weirdly creative animal.

It looked like it could be pretty normal behavior.

So when an American badger is hungry it will bury a whole dang cow

We already knew that badgers like to cache, or bury, smaller food like rabbits.

Caching keeps the meat cool so it stays fresh longer, and it keeps other hungry animals

from finding it.

But this is the first time anyone has observed badgers burying animals bigger than themselves,

that they can't like drag around!

In the tough environment of the Great Basin desert, this behavior could have a big ecological

impact.

Normally, a large carcass would be a feast for a whole range of scavengers, from vultures

to coyotes.

But if American badgers are hiding these hunks of meat and monopolizing them, like any good

american, then that resource isn't available to other animals.

And that's a big deal in an ecosystem where food can be hard to come by.

Not only that, but badgers could unintentionally be helping out ranchers by burying dead cattle.

This would keep the carcasses from spreading disease or attracting predators that might

attack other cows in a herd.

So while bigger is usually better when it comes to sample size in research papers, even

two little badgers showed that there's a lot we still have to learn about animal behavior.

your body, then you should check out our new channel which we have, SciShow Psychology

HARVARD SCIENTISTS THINK THEY'VE PINPOINTED THE PHYSICAL SOURCE - tech and science - Duration: 5:29.

HARVARD SCIENTISTS THINK THEYVE PINPOINTED THE PHYSICAL SOURCE OF CONSCIOUSNESS

They then compared the cortex to this area of the brainstem and identified which parts

were connected to it.

They found that two parts of the cortex are connected to this part of the brainstem, thus

concluding that theyd be the most likely areas to play an important role in consciousness.

The first was in the left, ventral, anterior insula (AI), and the other was in the pregenual

anterior cingulate cortex (pACC).

The team also looked at fMRI scans of 45 other coma patients, all of which indicated that

the patients suffered some sort of injury or disruption between these three integral

regions of the brain.

To the researchers, this suggests that these three regions play a fundamental role in consciousness.

Perhaps this study will bring us one step closer to understanding why coma patients

lose their conscious awareness!

How Does This Relate to Oneness?

Is consciousness really being created, or are we simply developing a greater awareness

of how it relates to the physical body?

Scientists often confuse consciousness with awareness, which are two very different things.

The Harvard scientists may have tried to pinpoint where our awareness lies, but consciousness

isnt simply a construct of the mind its far greater than that.

When you really think about it, a human being can never be devoid of consciousness even

if theyre comatose, and some scientists have started to prove this.

Coma patients have been found to respond to outside stimuli including familiar music and

the sound of loved ones voices.

Another study measured the heart rate variability (HRV) of coma patients, a parameter linked

to emotional unease or well-being, using biofeedback technology provided by the HeartMath Institute.

If youre unfamiliar with HeartMaths work, theyve scientifically proven how

the heart gives off a certain message depending on how were feeling because it emits an

electromagnetic field that other people can pick up on.

Emotional information is actually coded and modulated into these fields.

By learning to shift our emotions, we are changing the information coded into the magnetic

fields that are radiated by the heart, and that can impact those around us.

We are fundamentally and deeply connected with each other and the planet itself.

The researchers in this particular study analyzed the responses the coma patients had to people

seated beside them in an identified state of compassion.

Their findings showed that the participants and the coma patients exhibited responses

simultaneously and that the patients responded to both intentions, meditation, and prayers.

When you consider the fact that all of our thoughts are sent into the collective consciousness

and that our hearts literally exude an electromagnetic field or aura that others can pick up

on, this isnt necessarily surprising!

As Dr. Deborah Rozman, the President of Quantum Intech, explains:

Research findings have shown that as we practice heart coherence and radiate love and compassion,

our heart generates a coherent electromagnetic wave into the local field environment that

facilitates social coherence, whether in the home, workplace, classroom or sitting around

a table.

As more individuals radiate heart coherence, it builds an energetic field that makes it

easier for others to connect with their heart.

So, theoretically it is possible that enough people building individual and social coherence

could actually contribute to an unfolding global coherence.

At the end of the day, everything in existence is made up of consciousness.

Coma patients arent devoid of consciousness because thats literally impossible.

You are connected to everything and everyone in the universe, even if the person lacks

awareness.

Human beings arent what makes consciousness consciousness, we are simply an aspect of

the collective consciousness.

Consciousness is what connects all of us and everything to the universe or Source.

So, perhaps this study brings the scientific community closer to understanding how awareness

relates to coma patients, but scientists still have a long way to go to fully understand

consciousness!

The source of consciousness cannot be attributed to one physical aspect of the human body because

consciousness embodies everything.

Is Consciousness Even A Product of the Brain or Is The Brain The Receiver of Consciousness?

a great video from Dr. Gary Schwartz, Professor of psychology, medicine, neurology, psychiatry

and surgery at the University of Arizona, discussing whether consciousness is the product

of the brain or a receiver of it.

I regard consciousness as fundamental.

I regard matter as a derivative from consciousness.

We cannot get behind consciousness.

Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.

Max Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, which won him the

Nobel Prize in

Physics in 1918

The big news in Congress is the vote on President Trump's nominee to the Supreme Court.

Neil Gorsuch could not get the required 60 votes to be confirmed, so Republican leaders,

they decided to change a long-time Senate rule to approve him with fewer votes.

AFSCME opposes his nomination.

We do so because he has consistently sided with corporations over workers and individuals.

Texas House passes state budget - Duration: 1:34.

I think that House Democrats had a very good day yesterday and that we were successful

in increasing funding for acute therapy that had been cut two years ago.

We were successful in increasing funding for the Department of Family and Protective Service,

child protective services which we know has tremendous needs and that's been a priority

for Democrats all session.

Thirdly we led the effort to ensure that we're not going to spend any taxpayer money on a

private school voucher scheme that Representative Abel Herrera offered that amendment and passed

with bipartisan support.

So those were key victories for Democrats and we helped make that budget better.

On the Republican side I think we had some major victories as well, one was getting and

extra twenty million dollars into alternatives to abortion.

A program that helps a lot of low income families with sustaining that life they have in their

house.

Also able to fully defund Planned Parenthood at the end of the day.

And then we were able to make some great strides on pairing down programs that may be superfluous

or we don't think is the major role of government and using those fund to funnel into other

things that are going to be beneficial for Texans overall.

So just limiting the size and scope of government on some amendments and I think that's a big

victory not only for the Republicans but for Texas overall.
