Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-2399's location and nature, physical means of containment

Implanted Foundation agents in major observatories are to contain footage or images of SCP-2399.
An ongoing misinformation campaign is in effect, which has thus far been able to completely
suppress any knowledge pertaining to SCP-2399 from public awareness.
Foundation satellites in orbit around Jupiter are to maintain constant vigilance of SCP-2399's
reconstruction efforts, and make all attempts to hinder that process should SCP-2399 reach
a minimum of 75% completion.
Additionally, a perimeter of long-range electromagnetic jamming satellites (BARRIER Array) has been
situated in high-Jupiter orbit.
Any transmissions intercepted by this array are to be summarily decoded and logged.
In the event of SCP-2399 surpassing 75% completion or an information breach in the jamming perimeter,
necessary Foundation personnel will engage Protocol LEGIONNAIRE-5 (See Addendum 2399-L5),
given its completion by that time.
Description: SCP-2399 is a massive, complex mechanical structure currently located in
Jupiter's lower atmosphere.
Since its visual discovery in 1963, SCP-2399 has been observed to use highly advanced,
anti-matter-based weaponry to create spacial disruptions and devastating atmospheric [DATA
EXPUNGED] observable as a large red vortex, commonly known as the Great Red Spot.
SCP-2399 appears to be damaged, possibly due to an impact with the moon Io before coming
to rest in its current position.
SCP-2399 has been observed releasing a multitude of small, octopoid repair drones in efforts
to repair the damage it has taken.
Some of these drones will remain near SCP-2399, while others will patrol nearby moons, or
deeper into the gasses of Jupiter itself, in search of parts that SCP-2399 is missing.
Computer models estimate that SCP-2399 is at 59% completion, with a current rate of
.78% annually.
This rate has increased from an estimated .12% in 1970.
Despite its damaged state, SCP-2399 seems to possess a limitless power supply, advanced
electromagnetic shielding, matter-disrupting weaponry, the ability to repair damage done
to itself, and a precise tracking and targeting system (See Addendum 2399-2b).
Due to the large difference in technological advancement between the creator of SCP-2399
and our own, for all intents and purposes, SCP-2399 is currently indestructible by human
means.
In theory SCP-2399 might be left vulnerable by a powerful enough electromagnetic pulse.
Unfortunately, this technology does not yet exist.
Since 1971, SCP-2399 has been the recipient of an unending stream of electromagnetic-based
communications originating in the Triangulum Galaxy, roughly 3 million light years from
Earth.
The means of SCP-2399's travel to our solar system, and the means of its communications,
are all unknown.
From 1971 to 1985, SCP-2399 continuously received a single encoded message which, through codebreaking
and translation efforts, appeared to be a command to repair the damage it incurred upon
entering our solar system.
After this time, the BARRIER array was established to intercept these messages.
This coincided with a period of radio silence from the origin of the communications, until
1996, when a different order began transmitting.
The BARRIER array has thus far prevented SCP-2399 from receiving this command (See Addendum
2399-Comm-Log).

SCP-2399 was originally observed, albeit unknowingly, by Giovanni Cassini in 1665.
The following is taken directly from Cassini's journal on the event, translated from Italian

great luminescence streak through the far reaches of our solar system.

To our surprise, a magnificent change has occured!
Where once the distant world only showed bands of color, there is now a great red spot where
the star came to rest on the surface of Jupiter.
Peter was incredulous, of course, that such an amazing discovery could have taken place
before our very eyes.
I will continue to take note of this.

I swear on my life that I observed what looked to me like explosions and starbursts eminating
from our red spot.
I fear my mind is playing tricks on me, for there has been no record of such violent outbursts
by a heavenly body since the dawn of astronomy.
I will consult with Peter on the morrow, and hopefully glean from him some advice on the
matter.

As I approached him with my concerns, he leveled the same with me, and through our following
discussion we concluded that it must be a powerful reaction to the falling star I saw
upon the first night, and not a product of our own shortcomings.
I am left wondering what cataclysmic event must be taking place upon our heavenly neighbour.
Our work to document this must go on.

At ████ hours on ██/██/██, BARRIER Unit 53 observed one of SCP-2399's repair
drones closing on a piece of debris, quickly determined to be part of a damaged communications
array.
Because of the nature of this specific component, and the ramifications of allowing SCP-2399
to recover it, it was ordered that BARRIER Unit 45 fire upon the drone with its on-board
concussion batteries.
Batteries were discharged, however, the drone appeared undamaged.
Footage obtained by BARRIER Unit 53 shows that, while the payload in question was launched
towards the repair drone, it was destroyed within 5 km of the target by additional charges
originating from SCP-2399.
Command lost contact with BARRIER Unit 45 15 seconds after initial discharge, with video
observation showing SCP-2399 [DATA EXPUNGED] the resulting spacial anomaly originating

Have you ever sat and wondered, maybe after you hear about a car accident on a street

We can't do it all, though.
As many things as we've been able to contain, as many things as we've been able to keep
under lock that would threaten to destroy us all, still far too many remain that we
can't do anything about.
Whether they're too big, or too fast, or too powerful, any of these things could blink
and wipe humanity from existence.
The fact that they haven't done so yet is just luck.
SCP-2399, however, is different.
We have little information regarding SCP-2399's motives, origins, and full capabilities.
We do not understand how it is capable of communicating over such large distances, or
why those who constructed it (if it was, in fact, constructed) sent it to us in the first
place.
We do not know what would happen if SCP-2399 is able to fully repair itself, or if part
of our array would break down and a message would get through.
We do not know this, so we must assume the worst.
Judging by what we've seen, were SCP-2399 to have reached Earth, it would have led to
our timely destruction.
But sometimes humanity gets a little help.
Sometimes something steps in the way of the apocalypse.
For us, and for SCP-2399, it was Jupiter.
As SCP-2399 began to slow on its approach to Earth, Cassini saw what we've been able
to ascertain; that SCP-2399 struck Io, was damaged, and was unable to escape the gravitational
pull of Jupiter.
Its weapons activated as they were intended, but it was Jupiter that experienced doomsday,
not us.
Eventually, though, it's likely that SCP-2399 will resume full functionality, and will likely
be able to pull away from Jupiter and proceed to its target.
As of now, we can keep hurling bombs and EMPs at it all we want, but we've got no indication
that any of it will so much as scratch the thing, on the contrary, experience dictates
it would do nothing at all.
If this were to happen now, we would undoubtedly be destroyed.
Jupiter has given us time.
For now, SCP-2399 will remain there, reassembling itself, while we devise some way to stop it.
Like it or not, we are in an arms race with this thing.
Our best guesses give us something like 25 years until it is able to hear past our dampening
array.
Until then, we must seize the opportunity that has been laid before us.
We must use the time we have been given, and not let it be wasted.
So we devised Protocol LEGIONNAIRE.
One gigantic EMP, powered by god-knows-what, followed by a volley of nukes big enough to
wipe out our civilization a thousand times over.
A blunt plan, and simple, and likely futile.
Our researchers, and researchers around the globe, have yet to devise even a way to deliver
that kind of pulse, let alone a way to power it.
There is no indication whatsoever that we will be able to complete LEGIONNAIRE on time,
or if it will do what is intended once it is completed.
But we must try.
We must do something.
Even if we have to drain our banks and empty our mines, we must try.
Not often do we get a chance to see the swerving bus that will end our lives, and step out
of the way.
Jupiter, unknowingly, has offered us that chance.
I suggest we take it.

Kolhapuri chicken masala curry
Ingredients
chicken - 1/2 KiloGram
Salt as per taste and turmeric powder - 1/2 t spoon
Coriander seeds -1 table spoon
cumin seeds - 1 t spoon and white sesame seeds - 1 t spoon
Dry red chilli - 10
Green cardamoms - 2 and Black cardamoms - 2
mace - 1
Black pepper corns - 10 to 20 as per spicyness
Cloves - 5 and poppy seeds - 1 table spoon
cinnamon sticks - 2 inch piece
Butter - 2 table spoons
cashew nuts - 10
Onions - 2 and cilantro - 6 to 10 springs
Dry coconut - 1/2 cup ( 6 to 8 table spoons)
OIl - 2 table spoons and ginger garlic paste - 1 table spoon
method
switch on the stove and heat oil
Add dry coconut and fry for 2 to 5 minutes on low flame
Add cumin
Add coriander and cinnamon sticks
Poppy seeds and sesame seeds
do not burn
keep on frying until coconut powder becomes lite brown colour
This is the exact roasting of coconut masala see the colour
Take out and keep a side for cooling
In the same kadai fry all other ingredients
Add remaining oil and add dry red chilli and fry for 2 minutes
add pepper corns
cloves cardamoms green and black and mace(crushed)
Fry until red chillies becomes crispy
keep a side for cooling
Keep ready to grind
grind coconut powder masala first in to paste
add cashew nuts
Add red chilli masala and grind in to a smooth paste
like this
wash the chicken well and add masla paste and mix well
Add 1 t spoon salt and turmeric powder
Mix well
marinate for 30 minutes
heat kadai and melt butter
Use oil or ghee or butter as per your choice
Add red chilli
add finely chopped onions and fry until lite brown colour
Add Ginger garlic paste fry for 2 minutes
Add marinated chicken and saute for 10 minutes
in between stir and saute
sauté until water evaporates ( approximately - 15 to 20 minutes on medium flame)
If you want extra spicy add little red chili powder
Add required salt
Add remaining ground masala paste
chicken should be lite fried
add masala water ( clean the marinated bowl with water and add that water)
Add water for gravy
keep the flame high for 5 minutes and then medium flame for 10 minutes
Add little butter on top
When the Oil separates from curry it means the curry ready
Gravy thickne the curry was well cooked add cilantro and serve

so... before i went to high school and started doing other things like melee, and youtube,
and whatever; i actually did a lot of theater.
i actually got some pretty big roles.
the first play i ever did was aladdin and i got the role of jafar.
and the second play i did was charlie and the chocolate factory and i got the role of
uncle joe [meant to say grandpa joe lol] and those were both like, a really big deal
to like me, and my family, and everyone was so excited about it.
and, to be entirely honest with you, i wasn't even that good, like-
the next play i auditioned for was robin hood, and they actually gave me... the role of robin hood
and i was like ".... hoo"
like i was so blown away by that, i was like... freaked out by it, it was- it was so good for me
i- i didn't do theater at my- at my school, like my school (i think every school) had
a theater program, umm... and i just didn't- i didn't do it there, because i tried once
and... they were like "you're not good enough" so they didn't put me in like any roles, like
y'know- you know how middle school works, they give like the older kids the roles, they
don't give any of the like elementary school kids the roles, so i uh... i quit because-
i quit that theater program at my school 'cause i wanted- i thought that i had.... better
potential and so i went a um, uh, another theater program that was outside of my school.
and so, i had been going to this theater place for like three or four years now.
the director of all these plays had really grown a liking for me and thought that i was
a real "talent."
and one year in 6th grade, it was like summer of 6th grade
i saw that there was auditions for a play called "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown"
and i realize that i missed... the auditions... and i was so upset.
it- it was like a week, like auditions had been done for like a week, like it was...
it was a really long time since auditions had been done.
and so i had my dad email the director and he said [my dad] "hey, we were away this week,
i was wondering if, y'know, you could make an exception for nolan, and just, y'know,
let him go to audition, 20 minutes, and then... tell us how it works."
and my dad gets an email back, and... the email is something along the lines of:
"hey! i'm actually glad you emailed me, because i wanted to give nolan the role of charlie
brown with no audition." and like.... words can't even explain... *chuckles*
the uh, the happiness that filled my heart when i heard that.
i was so proud of myself that i was able to get a role like that, like without auditioning,
like the fact that he noticed me as a "talent" and said "he's so good, he doesn't even need
to audition."
like that was.... it was such a big deal to me, and it...
it meant the world to me.
i can't stand it!
look at them laughing and enjoying themselves with their valentines.
i sent a valentine to everyone i know this year, and did i get any- and did i get any
in return? NO! I DID NOT GET /ONE/ VALENTINE!
everyone gets valentines but me... nobody likes me!
i get about as many valentines as a dog...

Jackson is eleven years old.
He is non-verbal for the most part.
A lot of times he can seem withdrawn,
and that he doesn't want to talk to you.
But when you get to know Jackson,
everybody loves him.
The day that we came to visit Shreveport
for the first time,
and we walked around,
and actually we stood in the parking lot after
being here for about an hour
and just wept out of gratitude
that this kind of a place might be possible
for Benjamin.
I have three amazing daughters,
and Liane is the one with special needs.
And as her sisters were developing and growing up,
she began to feel anxiety
because she was not advancing
at the pace that they were.
So that's when I began my search
for a placement for my daughter
where she would be happy, safe,
well taken care of.
We brought him to Holy Angels,
and I could tell immediately that the team here was different.
And that they really knew what they were doing.
And I am not kidding,
it was not even seven months
before we saw improvement.
When we discovered that Benjamin was a special needs child,
I went to some very good friends of mine in the ministry,
and I told them that I was going to leave the ministry
and become a tax attorney
so that I could build a hedge of money
around my son
whom I couldn't protect.
And one of my friends said,
and she had had a brother with cerebral palsy,
that her family had cared for who had died.
she said, "Alston, there will never be enough money."
And it was during that time
that I began to pray very deeply
about how our family would answer
this vocation
of caring for Benjamin.
And I've always believed that if
people who are faithful, if they cry out and call out,
there will be an answer.
There will be a response.
And in many ways Holy Angels is that response.
The thing that I can say that is nearest and dearest
to my heart
is that Holy Angels has provided her
with not only medical care, training,
but also spiritual growth.
And that's very important
to me and to my family.
They look at whole health in an individual.
So they're looking at physical health, mental health,
quality of life, spiritual health,
and in a non-denominational way.
They are looking at a total happy
quality of life for anyone
who comes and gets services at Holy Angels.
I would say in terms of the professional
the professional giftedness at Holy Angels,
they understand the process
that families, especially the parents
of special needs children
have to go through
as they begin to differentiate
their own identity and their own life
from that individual in the family
who has such needs.
And that is not an easy road to walk with a family.
I would be a lot more worried about
Jackson's future right now if Holy Angels wasn't here.
I would be trying to do ABA at home with Jackson,
and work with him more one on one at home.
But I don't have the training to do that.
So having a team with this type of training,
here, in our area, where we don't have to drive
out of town on weekends,
which is not that effective anyway,
but being able to bring him here three days a week,
it's been life changing.
I shutter to think
about Holy Angels not being here.
And I don't know what we would have done,
to be honest with you.
This is such a wonderful program here
for the developmentally disabled.
Liane has blossomed here.
Autism moms can be dragon moms,
not because we enjoy being mean,
but because we're used to having to fight for our kids.
And I have never had to fight for one thing at Holy Angels.
They're always positive and
they just always say the right thing.
And I have never found that
in a therapy setting.
It's just amazing.
This place
has been the answer
to this mother's prayers.
No doubt.
And I've said to others, about Holy Angels,
that all of you who help this place
be something that's vibrant and real,
and generative,
all of you that help support this place,
you are the answers to other people's prayers.
And you may not even know it
because there is a mother and a father somewhere, today,
somewhere in this country
that is crying out.
And you will be
part of an answer that's real for them.
