hey guys this is with gy6 slow-mo back
again with some tracers versus
ballistics gel this time got
nine-millimeter using the century arms
UC9 we're shooting ballistic
Gel down there we're using the exact
same ballistics gel blocks that we used
in the 22 long-rifle video results were
less than amazing so I'm very interested
to see how it performs with 9-millimeter we'll
take a few shots and see what we get on
the gel I'm guessing more penetration a
little bit better burn but overall very
interesting to see what happens with the
tracer and as we get to bigger calibers
it's only going to get more entertaining
I have the
high-speed darkened down a little bit
compared to the 22 let's see if we can
see that tracer a little bit better if
not I'll bring it back up in the future
videos let's see
so first block 16in this one 16in, 4 inches
short looking at roughly 28 inches of
penetration that's a pretty decent thud
I'm not gonna lie
so that first shot impacted but the
round was kind of a dud it wasn't
burning caused a sonoluminescence
flash in the middle of the gel that's
what it's called look it up but let's
try it again hopefully we'll get a good
trace on this one because it sucks
without tracer right kinda pointless
that round has low-impact on the gel went down hit
the table bounced back up in the second
block still got about the same
penetration but this time at the very
end you can see that tracer start
igniting and it burns out inside the
ballistics gel but not exactly what
we're looking for let's set the table
back just a little bit gives that round
a little bit more time to ignite we
might do this in future videos as well
because some rifle rounds aren't good
until like 30 yards so we'll see okay
we're about to start the 45 ACP tracer
video which you'll be seeing after this
one in about maybe a week or so so stay
tuned we decided to do a little bit
longer range we realized that you guys
were going to be saying you know the
nine millimeters can only work past
twenty yards not that close and know
what you might be right it does give it
a little bit more flight time a little
more time to start igniting on that
backside of the round because it needs
oxygen to start going and as it's flying
through the air you know it goes into
the gel and the gel kind of snuffs out
... maybe so we're at 25 yards now
that should give the round plenty of
time to start igniting and enter into
the ballistics gel fully lit and
there'll be no excuses
come on baby
The round goes in the second block and stops
about the exact same distance as all the
other 9-millimeter rounds from these
tracers have been going which is kind of
cool to see even at 25 yards but we also
saw the same consistency in permanent
wound cavity damage when the round was
burning it's causing that bubbling
effect because the rounds burning is
pushing out gas is pushing out heat it's
melting the gel around it and causing an
open wound so if that were to go inside
you yes it's going to do the same thing
in a lot of different ways though I
can't wait for bigger projectiles as
this goes forward thank you so much for
