SCIENTISTS WANT TO TEST IF THE HUMAN MIND IS BOUND TO THE PHYSICAL WORLD - Duration: 4:59.
SCIENTISTS WANT TO TEST IF THE HUMAN MIND IS BOUND TO THE PHYSICAL WORLD
One of the most interesting of phenomena when it comes to quantum physics is something called
quantum entanglement, or what Einstein called the spooky action at a distance.
This is what makes the quantum computers work with the quantum bits relying on the entanglement
for processing of information and data.
In short, the entangled particles are said to have an effect on each other regardless
of any distance.
It is spooky though as despite following the quantum physics laws, entanglement reveals
a theory much deeper that has not been discovered.
But physicists are working on this deeper theory.
JOHN BELL TEST IN 1964 MAY BE PROVEN WRONG RELATED ARTICLES BLOOD MOON PROPHECY: WORLD
WAR 3 Is Bound To Happen Soon! The role of the physical body in the spiritual world A
test was once conducted by John Bell regarding the entanglement in 1964 to find out if the
particles influence each other.
Bell took a pair of entangled particles, one of which he sent to location A and another
to location B. At the points he used a device to measure the particle`s state.
The measuring devices settings had been random, which meant that it was impossible for A to
have any idea about the setting of B when measuring.
The test that Bell made was said to have supported the spooky theory of Einstein.
Now, a theoretical physicist, Lucien Hardy, from the Perimeter Institute in Canada has
suggested that perhaps the measurements taken between A and B might have been controlled
by something that could be separate from the material world, the mind of the human.
He came up with the idea due to the mathematician and philosopher from France, Rene Descartes,
taken from the mind-matter duality, where the mind is said to be outside of regular
physics and it intervenes in the physical world.
BELL TEST REPEATED WITH 100 HUMAN BEINGS Hardy set about conducting the Bell test with 100
humans with each of them being hooked up to EEG headsets that could read the activity
in their brain.
The devices could then be used to switch the settings on the devices A and B that were
measuring and which had been set at 100 kilometers apart.
Hardy said in a paper that the radical possibility they wanted to look at was that humans choose
the settings instead of random number generators.
He went on to explain that he expected to see a violation of the quantum theory that
was in agreement with the Bell inequality.
He said that if the correlation of the measurement do not match with the results of the tests
Bell did then there may have been a violation of the quantum theory and this may suggest
that A and B had been in fact controlled by factors that were outside of the realm of
standard physics.
RESULTS MAY REVEAL THAT THE HUMAN MIND DOES IS NOT GOVERNED BY PHYSICS He went on to reveal
that it could mean that the mind of the human or the consciousness is not made up of the
identical matter that has been governed by physics.
He also pointed out that it may suggest that the human mind is able to overcome physics
with free will.
Hardy said that it may potentially be the first time that scientists have been able
to get a firm grasps on consciousness.
He did say that it would not settle the question; however, he went on to say that it would have
a bearing that was very strong about the issue of
free will.

Apiphobia, the fear of bees - Duration: 4:22.
Despite human's advancements in science and technology, people still can't fully
control and maintain someone's health.
The reason behind this is because health does not only mean physical wellbeing.
Sure, maybe one day humans will find a way to cure all diseases known to mankind.
But the other aspect of health is mental wellbeing which can't be cured as easily.
One of the most prominent mental problem is hyperbolic fear.
I'm sure all of you have ever experienced fear at some point in your life.
Humans usually experience fear as a logical response to a situation that threatens their
lives or wellbeing.
But have you ever experienced fear because of something irrational such as open spaces
or even rice?
Such type of fears is called phobias.
It is estimated that 8.7% of Americans, or 19.2 million people suffer from a specific
phobia.
One particular type of phobia is called apiphobia.
It is derived from the Latin word apis which means honey bee and the Greek word phobos
which means fear.
Apiphobia is one of the most common phobia branching from zoophobia, the fear of animals.
Many people who suffers from apiphobia does not only fear bees, but also hornets, yellow
jackets, wasps, and all other swarming and flying insects that stings.
People who suffers from apiphobia may have feelings of dread or panic when exposed to
or thinking about bees.
Aside from that, they may also show automatic or uncontrollable reactions.
Other symptoms include rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, trembling, and extreme avoidance
of bees.
The non-phobic fear of bees is generally associated with lack of knowledge.
The general public is not aware that bees only sting as a defensive action in order
to protect their hive.
But even after knowing this information, some people are still frightened of bees.
Those who have apiphobia may acquire them from a traumatic experience.
A person may be stung by a bee at some point in their childhood or even adulthood.
Another cause of apiphobia is overprotectiveness of parents or caregivers.
Some children may have been told to fear bees by their parents.
This can lead to an excessive fear of bees that carries on to adulthood, thus causing
apiphobia.
Most of the time the prevention of a phobia is complicated because phobias usually comes
from accidental events.
But there are a couple ways to reduce the chances of acquiring apiphobia.
One way to do it is to not be overprotective towards children.
Parents should not scare their children away from bees.
Of course, it doesn't mean that parents should not warn children that they may be
stung if they are not careful, but parents should also tell their children that they
will not be stung if they don't disturb the bee or beehive.
Aside from that, people should also educate themselves that a majority of bees cannot
even sting.
In fact, only female bees of specific species are able to sting.
Bees are also amazing insects that provide us with food and medicine.
They are also essential to our ecosystem, playing the role of pollinator.
Remember, the most important part in preventing a phobia is to think positively.
One should never be too afraid of something as it can lead into a phobia
There are several ways to overcome apiphobia.
One of the most effective way to treat it is using the CBT method or Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy.
Through CBT, therapists tries to replace negative images of bees with positive ones through
talking and sharing sessions with the patient.
The therapist also gives positive facts and knowledge related with bees, and eliminate
the fear of getting attacked or stung.
Another way to treat apiphobia is through Exposure Therapy with Relaxation.
This method is signified by regular sessions where the person is confronted with toy bees
or pictures, or other replicated setting involving bees.
The person will eventually develop tolerance for bees through proper guidance from the
therapist and regular exposure.
Its major aim is to numb out the fear and anxiety.
In some severe and emergency cases of apiphobia, anti-anxiety and anti-depressant medicines
can be used to control the fearful feelings in a person.
The medicines help to adjust the brain chemicals such as Serotonin which is responsible for
determining the temperament of a person.
But if all that still doesn't work to cure your phobia, you could always grab your trusty
friend, the flamethrower.
