Could there be a future where

it's as easy as ordering genetic modifications

from a menu?

Like stronger bones,

or a disease free body?

And if you could,

would you design your DNA?

I would love to get rid of my lactose intolerance.

I'd really like to be a tetrachromat.

These are people who can see more colours.

Just having extra decades of

useful, healthy life.

No, I don't think I would.

OUR SECRET TREE - Duration: 9:51.

Good morning!

or

or not good morning because

because it's 1:30

Ryan came over and

I made a green smoothie

made that and now I'm going to make ramen

My mom really likes this kind of ramen

I don't know if you guys

you guys have tried it but

it's pretty good

It's like the healthier kind

says no msg added

yeah, so I'm making that

and one tip for making instant ramen is

that you should boil your noodles seperate

from your soup because

the noodles have umm

stuff in there

stuff in there

that helps to preserve it

that will will kinda come out

come out when you boil it

R: What are you doing?

what?

yeah

doing a cooking show haha

so my car has

around 365 horse power and she

and she's driving it right now for the first time

so I'm kind of nervous

E: look. There's like so much leg room

See what happens

so much leg room here

I can't even touch the pedals

R: press that

E: oh wait this is

oh okay

I have

W210 AMG

if you're a car guy watching

W210 AMG

Do you lay down or something?

I have a big back

E: Oh, right

Do you see the blue towel?

It's there to keept he sun away

you know, to cover it

ready?!

careful!

it's sensitive

E: okay, I'll be really careful

E: I'll be really careful!

E: What's all.. This thing?

R: Just go

E: okay, just go?

okay

E: Don't forget your seatbelt

E: Don't forget your seatbelt

E: We're going so fast

ooo

it's really smooth

R: Don't break too hard. It's really sensitive

okay okay

ooo, my gosh

R: how does it feel?

it's smooth. it feels nice

R: yeah

It's a very luxury car but it's fast at the same time

R: yeah, that's why I got this

yeah

so we're going to this area where

I think...there's buildings in the background

it's like a nice view and I want

to take some pictures of Ryan's car

so, gonna try that today

R: you want to practice

yeah, I want to practice taking pictures

R: Stop, Stop, Stop

I am stopping!

R: this car is heavier. You need to stop before

What?

This car is heavy so you have to stop before

oh, ok

Heavier than my car?

R: yes

so I have very thick and wide tires but

it's easy to loose traction in this

so I have to be very careful when excellerating

I'm happy my car is boring

go

you're happy... what?

well the place we wanted to go

we wanted to go was actually not a good place

they had a hill there that just blocked the whole view

so we're going somewhere Ryan knows about

E: but he's driving

E: he's gonna drive

I'll show you how you're suppose to drive this

I was trying to get out of the car but I couldn't

open the door because I didnt' realize

that it's like safety proof

like you can't open it. You have to pull it all the way out

so like this won't open it

this car is made for the autobahn. You know what that is?

E: autobahn? yeah yeah

E: where they drive really fast. like 100. R: the freeway in Germany where you can go as fast as you want

E: what. over 100? R: 100? pff 150, 200

E: god. why would you do that

E: like where do you need to be

E: where do you need to be that fast where you're going to risk your life like that

R: I should be there

E: maybe one day

huh?

one day

maybe

E: What are you doing?

smelling the tires

E: aww. so nice

E: Where are we going babe?

a secret spot

oh, now I remember

he took me here like

or two years ago I think

E: each day is a gift

E: find one thing you are grateful for

Ryan says that the other side of the hill

has another view

we're going to go check that out

there's a lady bug

E: babe, don't disturb it

Teach you five signs

Here are the 9 RULES for being HUMAN passed down from Ancient Sa - Duration: 6:27.

Here

are the 9 RULES for being HUMAN passed down from Ancient Sanskrit

Sanskrit is regarded as the ancient language of Hinduism, used in different means in order

to communicate and dialogue with the ancient Hindu Celestial Gods.

This chart details the NINE rules for being a human, as passed down by Ancient Sanskrit.

According to Ancient.eu, the name or better said the term Sanskrit is derived from

two the conjoining of the prefix Sam meaning samyak which indicates entirely,

and krit that indicates done, which translated conveys a meaning of perfectly

or entirely done.

Sanskrit is a standardized dialect of Old Indo-Aryan, having originated in the 2nd millennium

BCE as Vedic Sanskrit and tracing its linguistic ancestry back to Proto-Indo-Iranian and Proto-Indo-European,

and was primarily used by ancient cultures inhabiting ancient and medieval South Asia.

For nearly 2000 years, Sanskrit was the language of a cultural order that exerted influence

across South Asia, Inner Asia, Southeast Asia, and to a certain extent East Asia.

It is one of the most important ancient languages thousands of years ago.

Sanskrit is today one of the 22 languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution

of India, which mandates the Indian government to develop the language.

It continues to be widely used as a ceremonial language in Hindu religious rituals and Buddhist

practice in the form of hymns and chants.

Sanskrit is also an official language of the state of Uttarakhand a state in the northern

part of India.

Interestingly, while doing what we all do bestsurfing the webIve come across

a curious chart which claims to describe the Rules for Being Human, as handed down from

the Ancient Sanskrit Language.

We can summarize the rules to 9 must-knows:

You will receive a body.

You will learn lessons.

There are no mistakes, only lessons.

A lesson is repeated until it is learned.

Learning lessons does not end.

There is no better than Here.

Others are merely mirrors of you.

What you make of your life is up to you.

The answers lie inside you.

Well, according to the chart which was allegedly composed of Ancient Sanskrit:

YOU WILL RECEIVE A BODY.

You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire period this time around.

YOU WILL LEARN LESSONS.

You are enrolled in a full-time, informal school called life.

Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons.

You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant and stupid.

THERE ARE NO MISTAKES, ONLY LESSONS.

Growth is a process of trial and error, experimentation.

The failed experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiment that

ultimately works.

A LESSON IS REPEATED UNTIL IT IS LEARNED.

A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it.

Then you can go on to the next lesson.

LEARNING LESSONS DOES NOT END.

There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons.

If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.

THERE IS NO BETTER THAN HERE.

When your there has become a here, you will simply obtain another there

that again, looks better than here.

OTHERS ARE MERELY MIRRORS OF YOU.

You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something

you love or hate about yourself.

WHAT YOU MAKE OF YOUR LIFE IS UP TO YOU.

You have all the tools and resources you need; what you do with them is up to you.

The choice is yours.

THE ANSWERS LIE INSIDE YOU.

The answers to lifes questions lie inside you.

All you need to do is look, listen and trust.

Ok so, was this really passed down from ancient Sanskrit?

Well, the tablewhich originally appeared on illuzone.net is sourced back

to Dr. Chrie Carter-Scott MCC.

(ENG SUB & other) - RUN BTS ! 2017 - Ep.17 (13.04.2017) - 방탄소년단 - Duration: 20:36.

[Run BTS - Arcade Olympics]

[Run~ BTS!]

Hello, everyone.

[Today's Run BTS will begin at an arcade] - Run BTS! - Season 2!

[Excited excited]

- I came to an arcade after awhile! - Right.

[Today's story for Run BTS]

[Arcade Olympics: Members will be ranked after playing 4 rounds of games]

[Prize will be given to a winner! Those ranked 6th and 7th will be punished!]

[He smells like an uncle who used to play with me when I was young] We're not dressed up like usual.

- Like old brothers in the neighborhood. - Look at us.

[When guys going to a convenience store] Brothers wear like this in the neighborhood.

Yoonki is the only one dressed up nicely.

[Messy hair, stretched T-shirt, checkered shirt, baggy knees in pants]

That's way worse, honestly.

I'm wearing pants on back to front.

To be honest,

[He looks so rich] Hoseok seems to come here to buy this arcade.

[As if he's here to collect monthly rent] - He looks like the building owner's son. - Right.

I'm wearing shoes, birthday gift from V.

- Are you here to buy this arcade? - It feels like our school days.

[BTS kids will enjoy games!] Let's enjoy playing games

- just like when we were young. - OK, let's do this.

[The first game for BTS?] The first game is

as you're all singers,

it's to test your sense of rhythm.

[No way] - No way. - Dance Dance Revolution?

[Swift steps of the youngest member]

- I'm not good at it. - It's DDR.

[Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) that requires sense of rhythm!]

We need to decide

who will play first. Who wants to go first?

[Everyone points at Jungkook] - Jungkook. - Jungkook.

[Even though they have never tried] It feels like "Let's beat Jungkook".

[Older brothers know they can't beat Jungkook] Jungkook, go first.

Choose "Very hard" mode since you're good at it.

No way.

[Jungkook is too young to play this]

[Careful, careful]

- Hard 2 level. - Elysee. - That's it.

Elysee is the best for DDR.

[How can I do this?]

It seems hard.

- Challenging. - It's too hard.

- Jungkook is doing like this. - Oh, it's getting worse.

[So serious] Oh, my. How can I do this?

We can't clear the Hard level.

[Everyone is looking at]

[Jungkook in panic] Hard level is too difficult.

[I'm smiling but I'm not smiling!]

- He panicked out. - He did.

We found something that Jungkook is not good at!

[Too hard, too hard] So excited!

Jeon Jungkook is not good at this!

[Older members are enjoying this] He panicked out.

Jungkook can be the last one.

[It becomes slow]

[I guess this game is a fan of Jungkook] - Why is it getting slower? - This game likes Jungkook.

[Anyways, Jungkook is still in panic]

It's really hard.

Jungkook may be the last one.

- It's getting slower. - The game is a fan of him!

[Oldest member is jealous of it] Seriously!

- Jeong Jungkook! - Even a game machine is his fan!

[Trying so hard] - Still. - It's really hard.

[Jungkook cleared the round]

- Jungkook can be the last one. - Next, Jimin.

[Jimin quietly stands on the machine] This song is too hard.

- We can't play to this song. - What's the score?

[Let's see the result]

It's 210,000 points.

- Jungkook got F. - It's 250,000 points. - 210,000 points.

I guess points are different according to the difficulty level.

- Next, Jimin. - I'll choose my song.

OK, that's it.

Go, Jimin! Go, Jimin!

[BPM 160 can't stop me] It's BPM 160.

- BPM 160. Crazy. - It's going to be fast.

[Jimin got off to a good start]

[However, soon...]

[Surprised] Too easy.

- Is it the Hard level, too? - Too easy.

[Members start complaining since it's too slow]

I don't know how to step to the beat.

[Bam!] [Oldest member got jealous again] This machine is Jimin's fan!

[So serious] Jimin!

Jungkook, you may not be the last one.

Jimin is so bad at playing this.

[Whatever you say, I'll do my best!]

I screwed up this.

[Amazing finale!]

[DDR master-like outfits] Suga's turn.

[Jimin's result came out] I guess he may give up if it's too hard.

[FFF] Jungkook, how much did you score?

[Jimin is ahead of Jungkook] - 220,000? - 210,000.

[He's choosing a song carefully]

[Jungkook shouts to remind of Hard level] - It's Normal. - Red one.

I think Suga can't clear this round.

[Four Seasons by Vivaldi, a notorious song in DDR]

[Spaced out]

[Oh, he's better than we thought]

[Suga himself was surprised]

[It's not that difficult]

[If you take a closer look, he keeps missing the beat]

[So excited] - He's doing fine. - Way to go!

[This way, that way]

[V-surprised] [Suga starts panicking as it's getting faster]

- Don't panic out. - Stay calm.

I don't think we can play this.

[A series of "Miss"] He gave up. Gave up.

[I used up all of my energy...]

- Let's see the result. - What's the score?

[Suga's score is...]

[Score of Suga who panicked out] He started well but panicked out later.

[Way below Jungkook and Jimin] Having combos is important.

- Right? - Your score depends on the combos.

[Next player J-Hope! He takes off his jacket] I'm taking off my jacket.

I'll take off my shoes, too. I'll play it barefooted.

- I think it's important not to panic out. - Barefooted.

[Suga's advice] - Don't panic out. - I think...

[J-Hope chose a song] I'll play with this.

House music. House.

BPM is 195.

[Main dancer's fast steps for a song of BPM 195]

[This is how I will play!] So fast!

He's like a B-boy.

I know this song. He can't clear this.

[Fast speed from the beginning] Let's go!

- It's too hard. - How can people play this?

[He keeps missing the beat] As we don't know the song...

There's no beat in this song.

[Surprised[ - What's this song? - It has no melody.

[Stopped]

195 is the maximum level of BPM.

[Hope... use your both hands...] Use your hands.

[Then!] Play with four, hands and feet.

[Focusing hard] Now he plays better.

He plays better.

[Hope for me...]

[He can't believe the result...]

Everyone, I got a hope.

[Score of J-Hope who used hands and feet together]

[It's 30,000 points...]

I got 120,000 points.

- 48,000 points. - Hey, you're the last.

[The oldest member is choosing a song]

[Dancing, dancing]

- You started this side, too. - As you pushed it down.

[The next spot started thanks to J-Hope] You can play next to him.

[Rap Mon steps up] Rap Mon will practice.

[Both wings are complete!] Great.

[The same song]

[Different steps]

[You are watching how both wings jump]

[Shaking his head] [These brothers are really...]

[Amazing body movement of both wings] Tired.

[I'll watch it when I feel down]

This is much easier.

Mine was really challenging.

[They enjoy playing DDR] 195 is the highest BPM.

[Jin is doing great even though he doesn't look so]

[Jungkook and Jin, perfect harmony] Jin is doing great!

[I finished!]

I guess his score will be much higher than Hope's.

Your score is higher than mine.

[Score of Jin who did better than main dancer J-Hope]

[Surprised!]

[You ranked first!] No.1!

[Surprised]

[New dance king of BTS! Main dancer Jin!]

He's a new dance king of BTS.

Everyone, attention please.

It's the final match.

Me and V will play together.

- Fast. - Let's go.

Let's go!

I'll beat you.

[Relaxed] Let's see who will win.

[Barefooted]

[Fast steps]

It's a neck and neck.

[Namjun is doing great] Namjun is playing well.

[Rap Mon's mouth moves as fast as his feet]

[He's so busy playing regardless of the match]

[Excited]

Isn't he just stepping in every directions?

Namjun, that's way faster.

[Right, Namjun... That may be faster]

[His playing it with his face]

[Concentrating]

[A lot of "Miss"] It's too hard.

[Perfect ending!] - He may win with this. - Right.

[Scores of V and Rap Mon] Let's see the result of this match.

Too tired.

- Namjun won! - I won!

[Staring it...] Someone's score was lower than 59,000.

It's me! Me.

[J-Hope looks so happy] - You're the last. - Right.

[Ranks of Round 1 for Arcade Olympics] Please announce the Round 1 result.

[No.1 Jin] Seokjin.

Amazing. I've never seen Jin won No.1.

- No.2. - Jimin.

[Jimin ranked 2nd] - Indeed. - I was close to win no.1.

[Jungkook ranked 3rd] Jungkook.

[No.4 Suga] It's Suga.

[Satisfied]

[Rap Mon ranked 5th] Rap Mon.

[V and J-Hope are left] - Hope is the last one. - I can't believe.

[Main dancer J-Hope ranked the lowest] You're really bad at dancing.

[Run BTS Arcade] [DDR ranking] [1. Jin-241,900] [2. Jimin- 216,000]

[3. Jungkook - 213,100] [4. Suga - 121,400] [5. Rap Mon - 61,600] [6. V - 59,600]

[7. J-Hope - 31,400]

This game requires fast movement. But Jin came in first and J-Hope ranked 7th.

I may give you some dance lessons.

DDR has nothing to do with dancing.

[BTS proved that] We proved it perfectly.

[DDR has nothing to do with dancing] - Not related at all. - No relation.

Then, let's move on

to the next game. 1, 2, 3.

[Go, go to the 2nd round] Go, go, go!

What's the game for Round 2 on Run BTS?

As you can see, the 2nd game

[Run BTS Round 2 game: Basketball[ is the basketball game.

[Most popular game, basketball] [2 members will throw at the same time and the one with a higher score will win]

- Suga is good at basketball. - I've tried this before.

It has nothing to do with basketball skills.

[Raise your hand if you never played] Anyone who has never played this before?

I've never played it.

- I've never done it before. - We once played it at a highway rest area.

- No, I've never done it. - Really? - I don't like to play basketball.

As we've played before, let's play it without practice.

[Look at him] Let's start now!

1, 2, 3. Go, go, go!

[Members decide the order to play] Let's decide the order.

- Who will go first? - Personally,

- I've played it before. - Right, you tried this before.

To prove that it has nothing to do with basketball skills.

Play it with Jungkook. He's good at everything.

[Did I play basketball well?] Let's compare and see.

- Like a human tester. - Right.

[A.K.A BTS official tester] A.K.A tester.

[Next round - 95s Jimin vs V] - As he does well. - I'll play with Jimin.

[Next round - 94s! Orders are decided] OK, let's play among those of same age.

- One needs to play alone. - Let Jin play alone.

[Excited to play alone] Today's main guest.

- Me and Hope. - OK.

[Round 1 Jungkook vs Suga] Let's play, Jungkook.

It's Team Lamb Skewers.

- Go, go! - Team Lamb Skewers.

Let's go! Single!

Here we go!

Jungkook is good at this.

- Jungkook is doing great. - He's amazing.

Suga is really bad at this.

[I was a famous basketball player] Suga, you're playing too honestly.

He's too slow.

[Speed matters in the basketball game! But Suga is playing so calmly]

You need to play it calmly.

Stay calm. Don't be panicked.

[Focusing so hard]

Jungkook lost his pace. He lost his pace.

It's over. Already over.

No way!

[The result is 93:78] 93 points, and 78 points.

[Game starts again] You can play it again!

The current score is 121 to 120.

[He's getting mad at the ball] Come on!

It's the double time. Double time.

[I'll just throw regardless of that] You need to do better in double time.

You need to score a goal now!

Hey, it hurts my hands.

[Is it over? Will there be more rounds?

[They thought it was over. But Jungkook's game started again] How many quarters does it have?

Jungkook's score is over 200.

[He can play in the 3rd quarter since his score exceeded 150 points] He can do this as his score is over 200.

[Suga's game is over] My game is over?

It's amazing.

[He scored a goal with the ball bounced back] Did you see that?

[But Jungkook starts losing balance] I guess he starts being panicked.

Stay calm.

[He is just throwing] He throws, without aiming.

Please get in!

[He's throwing balls to the goal post] He keeps hitting the goal post.

Look at the score, everyone.

[Jungkook vs Suga - 249:146] It's 249:146.

- The gap is 50 points. - Who's next?

[Match of 95s] Me and Taehyung.

- Are you ready? - Ready. - Go!

[As he starts concentrating, his mouth starts looking funny]

V!

[Is V playing well?]

[He keeps scoring goals]

[This is nothing to brag about]

I think Jimin is more precise.

[I score more goals!]

[Jimin came from behind] - It's amazing! - Jimin beat him.

Jimin learns how to do this.

Taehyung, if your score is not over 100, your game will end.

Jimin, way to go!

[Attacked by a ball]

- Why it's not going in? - Jimin, stay calm.

Jimin, your score needs to be over 200. 200 points.

[So concentrating] V is catching up.

[The end] It's over.

[But it starts again!]

[Concentrating]

[Jimin and V starts speeding up at the end]

Jimin!

Jimin!

[The result is?]

[V vs Jimin 245:237]

He turned it around!

Jimin!

[Taetae turn the game around thanks to three-pointers]

[Next match is for 94s! J-Hope vs Rap Mon] Me and Rap Mon will play.

Let's go!

- It's not started yet. - J-Hope!

[He's so concentrating]

[It's a nonsense even to me]

[J-Hope is busy scoring]

- Hope is doing well. - Rap mon scored 60 points.

Look at Hope's score. Hope is doing great.

[His form is like Michael Jordan]

Look at Hope.

[Last goal is to J-Hope] Hope advanced to the 3rd quarter.

[3rd quarter started for J-Hope]

[Whenever he shoots, it goes into the rim]

[Surprised]

[J-Hope's hidden talent... Ability to make a goal]

[Satisfied with his basketball skills] - Amazing, really. - It will go over the score.

[Amazing, amazing]

[Balls are getting inside without any delay]

[J-Hope stops playing while everyone is applauding]

Amazing.

He ranked first.

[I've been waiting for this. Jin!] Nobody knows. Jin may beat you.

Wait. I'll take off my watch.

[He looks so clumsy]

[How come you can't grab a ball since there are so many balls]

Too slow. Too slow.

[Jin does not betray our expectations]

Let's go! Now, now, now!

Jin! Jin!

It's hard not to score a goal.

[His back that looks pathetic] Rap Mon versus Jin.

Amazing. That's the skill.

[As you throw 2 balls] Why are two balls thrown?

- OK, I see. - I see.

- If you're not good at something, make an excuse that you tried to be funny. - I did that to be funny.

Am I the last one?

[Yes...You're the last] Yes.

It's over.

Rap Mon said he tried not to make a goal to be funny.

Please do this, without trying to be funny.

Sorry?

- Play this in a serious manner. - Hey, you played it to be funny.

- I did it for a gag. - May I do this seriously?

- That's going to be the final match. - I can beat him.

[They're arguing... Though they are similar] - Let's do this seriously. - I can beat you.

1, 2, 3!

[Let's go!]

Rap Mon!

[His chin protrudes when he's serious] Namjun!

Goosebumps! Goosebumps!

How come he can do this well?

[Rap Monster decided not to be funny]

[He surpassed the score of Suga] - Higher than Suga's. - Rap Mon will win no.1.

Rap Mon, amazing!

Are you trying to be funny?

[Serious, serious]

He's good at playing this.

[I'm Rap Mon....I can be serious when I need to be...]

[More and more] [Surprised]

[Applause! Shouting!]

[Rap Monster surpassed the record that J-Hope sets.

[Surprised]

[See? See?] I told you that I was trying to be funny.

[Rap Mon's score was whopping 293 points!] Amazing.

Please announce the final result, director.

Everyone agreed to play this game.

So, I'll acknowledge the score.

- Amazing. - Really? - I'm the last one.

We played two games and you and I won gold medals.

Kygo & Ellie Goulding - First Time (COVER) - Duration: 2:19.

We were lovers for the first time Running all the red lights

The middle finger was our peace sign, yeah We were sipping on emotions

Smoking and inhaling every moment It was reckless and we owned it, yeah, yeah

We were high and we were sober We were under, we were over

We were young and now I'm older But I'd do it all again

Getting drunk on a train track Way back, when we tried our first cigarettes

Ten dollars was a fat stack I'd do it all again

Bought my jacket and a snapback Your dad's black Honda was a Maybach

Three stacks on the playback I'd do it all again

We were lovers on a wild ride Speeding for the finish line

Come until the end of our time, yeah Started off as a wildfire, burning down the

bridges to our empire Our love was something they could admire,

yeah, yeah

We were high and we were sober We were under, we were over

We were young and now I'm older But I'd do it all again

Getting drunk on a train track Way back, when we tried our first cigarettes

Ten dollars was a fat stack I'd do it all again

Bought my jacket and a snapback Your dad's black Honda was a Maybach

Three stacks on the playback I'd do it all again, oh oh...

Do it all again, oh oh...

My Job Outside of YouTube - Duration: 7:22.

Do I collect a check for my disability and if so,

how much is it? Listen, these are just a couple of

the questions I'm going to answer in this video.

One of the questions that comes up an awful lot is, "what is

your job outside of YouTube, you know, how do you make a living, what do you do for work?

And what do other blind people do for work?" Let me start by

talking about the jobs I've done. JINGLE: Does it by request!

[music plays]

For me, I liked radio. That was my childhood dream and so

that's what I wanted to do and that's the career path I chose.

So I worked as a disc jockey so what that meant was

I'm running the control board, right, and playing all the

CDs and taking them out and putting them back away.

And I have to do things like the weather and talk up the records

so when I was playing jazz I was sort of cool, you know,

"There's Stan Getz of course, and Dusty,

Brubeck in there, and one from Miles Davis too

from Kind of Blue, there's So What." And then I'd have to do things

like the weather and even read commercials.

Then they changed the radio station to oldies and actually kept me.

JINGLE: Solid gold! TOMMY: So, again

I was doing pretty much the same kind of things but I was

a little bit more lively now, right. I was saying more things like

"In the middle of another set of ten oldies in a row

on Connecticut's Home for the Best and Most Oldies." Right?

All that kind of stuff. It was a lot of fun. That's what

I did for a couple years and then I got a different job. And this one

was completely different. I was the traffic reporter.

I listened to what people were talking about on the phones.

I listened to what the cops were doing. I had police radios and stuff

so I could hear everything that was going on around me.

There was nothing to see in that job. Absolutely nothing.

And the other part of that job was being a part of a morning show.

Which was a real lot of fun because that allowed me

to be funny and play a little bit and then on Saturday nights

they gave me my own rock 'n' roll sort of 80's and 90's retro show

which was great fun. JINGLE: Weekend special!

TOMMY: But that meant that I really had no other time to do anything

else so I had to get out of the business

for a while so I could concentrate on this. JINGLE: Thank you.

[music plays] TOMMY: So what do I do now besides YouTube?

Well, I'm a public speaker. Schools, conventions,

organizations, private parties hire me to tell my story.

I talk about growing up as a blind child, what

that was like. I also talk about the struggles I had as an adult

and of course my careers in radio and YouTube as well. And the cool

part is that I get to travel. I do this all over the world.

I've gotten to see parts of the world I would have

never imagine I ever been to before.

[music continues] So what about other people who are blind?

Well, first off, if you're a blind person,

do me a favor and share the jobs they've had in the past or that they do now

right there in the comments because I know I'm going to miss a ton.

It will be great a way to let everybody know what blind people can do

because honestly the better question is, "what jobs can't blind people do?"

There's a few obvious ones like a waiter

or an airline pilot or a taxi driver,

even a graphic designer or illustrator, but then again, there are blind

photographers in the world. As it turns out there really is a way to

do most jobs through technology and

different accessibility that's available or you know what,

just desire and it's about not letting your blindness stop you from doing what

you want to do. Listen, I know blind people that are lawyers,

teachers, psychologists, actors,

musicians, customer service, tech support,

a writer, guidance counselor, tech and web development,

I've even got a friend who does retail. I mean, there's more...

an accountant, a secretary, financial planner,

maybe in the food service industry. To be honest, I don't

to many blind people that are on assistance.

You know, everybody's working.

[music resolves]

It's so funny to me because there are people assume that I can't do

anything or that blind people can't do anything for work and just take a check.

You know, a social security or something like that every month.

And that's all. What kind of a dull life would that be, you know?

That's certainly not the kind I want. It's fun to work.

It's nice to be able to be out in the world working,

contributing... I don't know. I couldn't imagine just sitting around

waiting for a check every month. People with all sort of disabilities

do all sort of things. And you know what, it makes the workplace

a better place. It really does. To have that kind of diversity around...

everybody learns from it and everybody has fun

and... it's a nice experience for people.

[music plays] BEN: So do you collect a check?

TOMMY: You know what? I don't get a check now.

And I'll tell you why? I don't deserve one. I'm out working.

I'm doing things. I'm able bodied.

I can go out in the work field and get a job

so why would I take a check. It's not my money. I didn't earn it.

Or win it. Or inherit it.

That's somebody's else money. It's not mine.

BEN: So you wouldn't want the extra $500 or whatever a month?

TOMMY: Listen, I understand it would be great but the principle of the thing

is what I don't like. Of course the $500 would be great.

$600 - $700... whatever it is a month. But it's the principle ---

it's about my character too. I wouldn't be the

person I am if I took checks every month. I don't think.

BEN: So you must love sighted people who collect unemployment checks.

TOMMY: Here's the thing. I know so many sighted people

that don't work. That don't have jobs.

And you know what, if I could see, my god, I'd be

out pushing Uber right now. I wouldn't even be making --- I would be out driving Uber.

Or a Lyft. Or something, or waiting tables or bartendering

or something like that. It blows my mind when I see

people that can see that refuse to work.

It drives me crazy. Yeah, okay,

they're not great jobs, but you know what, they're jobs. And they help to put food on the table.

And help to keep you in the lifestyle you want.

And sorry, but it makes me crazy. It really does.

BEN: Did you ever collect a check because of your disability?

TOMMY: I did. I did collect a check because of my disability in high school.

For the three years of high school.

I did collect a check. I'll be honest. I'm not proud

of it but it was nice because

I had a little money coming in every both so I could go do stuff

you know what I mean. But I don't do it anymore.

I stopped after high school. It was $172/month I believe.

Somewhere in there. Maybe $200. Something like that.

BEN: If you did collect a check now, how much would that be?

TOMMY: Probably a grand. BEN: Per month?

TOMMY: Yeah. To be honest, I don't know. I haven't looked in it.

It's something I'm not interested in.

I don't know want to know. BEN: Now, do you talk about this stuff

in your public speaking? TOMMY: I don't really talk about this

too much. I mean, I talk about myself and my own struggles and what I had

to go through and I guess it's sort of implied.

You know. I mean, what I talk about really is that if there's something you want to do

in your life then you should go out and do it. And don't let anything

stand in your way to prevent that from happening.

Just get out in the world and do it. Take a shot.

I used to tell kids when I talked to school children,

if you want to be a major league baseball player then go out and play ball every day

and practice every day. Play catch with your mom or

your dad or whatever it is. You know, if you want to be an actor, if you want

to be --- try it. Maybe you stink at it. But at least

you gave it a shot.

Riverdale 1x12 Inside "Anatomy of a Murder" (HD) Season 1 Episode 12 Inside - Duration: 1:50.

- My dad just told Mayor McCoy about your dad, Jughead.

- What about my dad?

- [Fred] He was just arrested

for the murder of of Jason Blossom.

- Chapter 12 is called Anatomy of a Murder.

It was directed by Rob Seidenglanz.

I wrote it and in the last episode, FP Jones, Jughead's dad,

was arrested for the murder of Jason Blossom.

- Finally we'll have peace.

- Jason will have peace.

- While the entire town of Riverdale is currently relieved

that Jason's killer has been caught,

our core four, Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead,

are suspisicous about this arrest.

- [Archie] He's being framed.

- You want to explain this?

- Someone planted the gun, Jason's murder weapon

in a closet in FP's trailer.

It wasn't there when we searched for it.

He's being framed, Betty.

- They'll sort of take it upon themselves to figure out

what's really going on and put themselves

into some dangerous situations to figure out

what's behind this arrest and what really happened Jason.

- You did what?

- We had to make sure FP wasn't involved in Jason's murder.

- And now we know the truth.

He was. - What?

Mom, no, we just you. - The gun was planted.

- By whoever killed Jason.

- One of the great scenes in this episode

is we have all of our kids and all of our parents

in the same room and sort of the kids are going

to the parents and sort of pleading their case

that they think FP Jones is innocent.

- Yeah, excuse me if I trust the detection skills

of an officer of the law over three amateur sleuths.

- Mom, you're the one who asked Veronica to break in.

- Excuse me?

- What? - Alice?

DAVE April 2017 #3 Stripping with knives - Duration: 2:25.

Hello, it is VEDA day two and today I'm going to replace my headphone jack. Again.

Because the one I bought at my local, not very independent store turned out to be crap.

I also got *clack clack* fancy wire strippers, cause I'm terrible at stripping with knives.

But yanno, I'm a professional, I don't need to be able to be good at the *clack* peasant way *clack*

This did about nothing. This said it was good for small ones too. I'm very disappointed now.

Well, there's my knife? There it is, just behind you. Hahaha. I was just about to stab you in the back.

Ahh, there we go. It'll do.

(Audio sped up) *whistles* 🎵 Amoree Lovell - Cute Boy 🎵

I'll link the video that I use as a tutorial in the description, so if you ever need to fix your headphones.

It's a bit tedious,

um

and well, you'll need a soldering iron.

But I think there's also like, what are they called, hacker spaces, where you can kinda just use one

without having to buy one yourself.

Um, yeah, I basically just tried it, and it turned out ok.

The first time I did it, not with this pair, but with another one.

uhm

And yeah, it's ok, it's not super difficult, doesn't need to be suuuper neat.

And so, you can probably do it.

Fixed.

I'm done now. See you tomorrow!

Flow state: Creativity for Mental Health I Katy MacRae , LCSW - Duration: 2:36.

Hi, my name is Katy MacRae

and I'm a psychotherapist. I love working with creative people.

creative types- pretty much everybody- has had the experience in their life of "flow"

being in the "flow state", as described by the psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

so when people are in the "flow state", they feel energized, they feel inspired.

They lose track of time. They're "in the zone".

Everybody's had this experience.

Sometimes at work, sometimes when they're having fun

And when people are experiencing the flow state, they feel better

They feel- their health is better.

Their work is energized.

So the more you're in the flow state, the better.

Unfortunately, when you're not in the flow state,

When you're not feeling that creativity, if that's your thing

You can become depressed

So when I meet people, for example at work, and I'm doing an intake with them, sometimes I'll say

What's something you used to like to do, but you don't do anymore

because it's not as fun?

and often they's say, you know, I used to paint, or I used to knit, or I used to do woodworking

and I just don't do it anymore. I don't know, it's just not... I don't have the motivation

so I try to get people back into doing that.

I think environment is really important, what's around you

Colors... we know from research that colors really affect peoples' mood

so you can manipulate your mood and your environment

to reflect your feelings and enhance or boost certain feelings

we know that music can change peoples' mood.

for me, color is so important, and I use a lot of color

in the way that I dress, and my environment

things in my house

so if you go outside and you're walking around

you're less likely to ruminate because you've changed your position

you've changed where you are, you're looking at different things

and it's breaking that cycle of ruminating

so I often encourage people to go to a place they feel comfortable in

or a place that they feel energized in

a place that they think is beautiful

so one thing that's really important to me

is working with other people

I find that people are so much more motivated

they learn faster

and they really retain information when they're working with other people

their peers, and with me

it's so much more powerful than just an ebook, or a course, or something that you do alone, online.

so what I'm looking for is people who are interested in learning online with other people

I'd like to set up interviews, and I'm also having people do some of my practice courses and give feedback

so if that's something you're interested in

I would love it if you would just email me, we'll set up a time to do some talking
