PEOPLE WITH CREATIVE PERSONALITIES REALLY DO SEE THE WORLD DIFFERENTLY - Duration: 5:41.

PEOPLE WITH CREATIVE PERSONALITIES REALLY DO SEE THE WORLD DIFFERENTLY

ALEXA ERICKSONJULY

Artists, musicians, fashion designers, photographers, novelists there are so many different

types of creatives out there.

The arts elicit such admiration around the world from the general public for the ability

to create something so brilliant, yet so intrinsic.

As outsiders, people often seem baffled.

How did they do that?

I cant do that.

But that is exactly what creativity is: seeing the possibilities, and turning them into art.

While some see something and ask how it came to be, creatives spend their time seeing what

could be.

Psychologists have long been trying to measure creativity, often doing so by using divergent

thinking tasks, in which you must create as many uses as possible for mundane objects.

It is those who can see numerous and diverse objects that are considered more creative

than those who can only see a few common things.

For instance, I remember taking a creativity test in elementary school.

One question showed an image of a girl too short to reach the shade on a door window

to pull it down.

The question asked me to draw as many solutions as possible for the little girl to reach the

shade.

Students drew rockets on the bottom of the girls feet, springs, and so on.

Others simply drew a chair.

According to science, among the five major personality traits we behold, there is one

that drives our creativity.

This is called openness to experience, or openness.

Openness is believed to be the best predictor of performance on divergent thinking tasks.

It also predicts real-world creative achievements, and engagement in everyday creative pursuits.

While some people are fine assuming a chair is just a chair, or a rocket can only be used

for space, others have an innate curiosity that drives them to examine things from all

angles, resulting in higher openness.

Regarding research on the matter, Luke Smillie, Senior Lecturer in Personality Psychology,

University of Melbourne and Anna Antinori, PhD candidate, University of Melbourne, conducted

a study published in the Journal of Research in Personality that found open people, along

with bringing a different perspective to things, also genuinely see things differently than

the average individual.

Of their study, the team said:

We wanted to test whether openness is linked to a phenomenon in visual perception called

binocular rivalry.

This occurs when two different images are presented to each eye simultaneously, such

as a red patch to the right eye and a green patch to the left eye.

For the observer, the images seem to flip intermittently from one to the other.

At one moment only the green patch is perceived, and at the next moment only the red patch

each stimulus appearing to rival the other.

Participants in binocular rivalry studies sometimes see a fused of scrambled combination

of both images, like the middle one above, which, according to this studys authors,

can be seen as sort of a creative solution to the problem.

Across three experiments, we found that open people saw the fused or scrambled images for

longer periods than the average person.

Furthermore, they reported seeing this for even longer when experiencing a positive mood

state similar to those that are known to boost creativity.

Our findings suggest that the creative tendencies of open people extend all the way down to

basic visual perception.

Open people may have fundamentally different visual experiences to the average person.

Perhaps its frustrating to think creatives see the world better than a normal

person, but theres also a downside.

Some people with heightened openness have issues with mental illness, including proneness

to hallucination.

But also, theres no such thing as better.

Every perspective is beautiful, no matter the amount of openness involved.

Regardless, it is interesting to note that there is science behind why some people can

create

things that others simply cannot.

VHS Time Capsules | Nostalgia Nerd - Duration: 12:35.

Mmmmmmm, Video Tapes.

Video Home System Cassettes.

These were the days when if you wanted to record something, you either relied on the

crappy timer function in your VCR or waited until the program began and finished, poised

with the record and stop buttons.

If you were fancy, you might have had VideoPlus, but WHO EVEN HAD TIME TO LOOK UP THOSE NUMBERS

IN THE RADIO TIMES?!

Anyway, the premise of this video is a simple one.

Earlier today I popped into my garage and retrieved a bag of video tapes I've possessed

since at least the early 90s.

The content of these tapes is somewhat unknown, but my hopes were to go through each one and

perhaps find some gold standard lost footage.

Perhaps of Craig Charles Awoogering through Cyber Zone, or some dodgy late night film

I'd felt the need to record as a wretched 13 year old.

So, I'll be using my trusty Samsung SV-633B VCR for this foray into 90s eroded tape.

It's a well specified machine, with remote, video plus, Nicam stereo sound and even the

ability to playback NTSC tapes, and it seems like quite an abundant model, with various

listings available at eBay.

As you can see, there's a wide variety of tape brands, lengths and indeed labels here.

Some clearly hold films - or did at one point - such as Apollo 13 or Alien 3, whilst others

are more ambiguous.

In any case there's still opportunity for content after the labelled main event.

So hold on to your waste packets, as we begin proceedings with the first tape.

These cardboard sleeves have clearly been shuffled about over the years, but we have

a Bush HQ E180 case holding a Mitsubishi labelled "Super High Quality ENX Grade" E-120 cassette,

scribed with the film title "Nothing to Lose" recorded on Single Play...

You can't fault my teenage tape administration skills.

Playing the cassette reveals I've recorded this one over a copy of of the film Tombstone,

apparently starting a good few minutes in, and I've nabbed it directly from the old analogue

Sky Box Office, which alone induces some forgotten nostalgic feelings.

So this must have been sometime around the year 2000.

The rest of the tape just appears to be a recording of MTV, including some footage of

Cat Deeley presenting Hitlist UK.

Next up in this charming Maxell MEGA POWER TAPE box, we have another Mitsubishi label,

informing us of the Alien movie within.

Although the top label reads a rather ambiguous P'S Tape, which I apparently recorded on Long

Play....

Given the picture quality of Alien, it certainly looks like it's a long play recording, which

again seems to be followed by more MTV dross.

Thankfully this VCR has auto tracking, otherwise I could have spent an entire day on this project.

Wahey, here's one of the Mitsubishi cases, containing a Lloyds VHS with a half size Amstrad

label, devoid of content information.

This lack of content gave me high hopes of a tape jam packed with a mish mash of 90s

television... anddd, well, it's half way there.

We kick off with some Who Wants to be a Millionaire, move onto a Tommy Cooper documentary, a somewhat

disturbing scene with Ainsley Harriot... although most scenes with Ainsley Harriot are quite

disturbing, and we end up a few episodes of Red Dwarf, season 8.

Dating these recordings to most likely 1999.

So we know by this point that I've recorded a lot of sh*t.

A lot of utterly pointless sh*t.

Hopefully some of it at least by accident.

Which brings us onto this tape, completely devoid of labels, but with what appears to

be some mild mould on the tape reels.

Now, this is a mixed capsule.

We begin with some WWF footage, which given I stopped watching WWF just after Wrestlemania

VII, frankly baffles me.

I don't even know who these people are.

We then move onto The Priory, which was a celebrity chat show type thing from 1992 to

2002.

Presented by Zoe Ball and Jamie Theakston, it's safe to say that this was utter garbage.

But I appear to have let the recorder run into the night, capturing this Channel Phwoar

animation..... there's Jeremy Beadle, and there's the program shining from this lady's

fanny...

What in the name of all that is good, even is this?

But all is not lost, we've got a schedule screen telling us this was recorded on Sunday

11th June 2000, and coming up is BITS!

Maybe this is what I was hoping to record at 2:30 in the morning?!

I can't actually remember watching Bits at that period in time, but for those unaware,

it's a gaming show, featuring an all female presenting team, airing from 4th June 1999

to 6th April 2001 on Channel 4.

It appeared in both this late night format and edited morning editions.

Next!

This Super Video E-180 with what appears to be the corresponding tape!

Wahey, containing the film Apollo 13.

Apollo 13 is followed by MORE god damn Music Television, and urggh, that's enough of that.

At this point my hopes were waning for some lost classic television.

I mean Bits was a good find, but you can find all the episodes online easily.

Now, this BASF chromdioxid extra Quality case filled me with hope.

You can see I've scrawled 1/2 of Jaws Revenge... wait?!

What?

HALF of Jaws Revenge?

Who the hell records half a film?!

Man, the 90s.

What a desperate time it was for obtaining feature length movies.

There's also apparently a copy of Turtles I and "SEGA"... YES.

I have no idea what SEGA content this is referring to, but it sounded promising.

BUT THE TAPE.

THE TAPE, turned out to be "Mum's Tape"...

"Hands Off", and yes.

It appears to contain some bizarre dramatisations which my mother had possibly decided to record

at some point in the unknown past.

Any of this ring a bell to you?

I have no idea.

I presume the tape the sleeve referred to has either been recorded over, or lost.

NEXT!

The labels on this next tape look like they've been through a deep fat fryer.

There's all these cryptic annotations on various tapes as well.

"TAPE: 2", a sticker of the number 2.

Clearly these meant something to me at the time, but now, I have absolutely zero idea.

This VHS has Richard Ashcroft singing "I know I'll see your face again" through a plethora

of tape deterioration and tracking lines.

OH THE IRONY.

Followed by yet more MTV....

I really have no idea why I recorded some much damn Music Television.

Over what was probably gold dust beforehand.

I bet a couple of slivers of Craig Charles shouting Awooga remain on these tapes, somewhere,

recorded over multiple times... along with that half copy of Jaws 2.

Such a waste.

GoldStar case next, containing another Lloyds E180 tape.

The E, by the way denotes this is the running time under the PAL/SECAM system, hence I guess

it stands for Europe.

For NTSC, you'll notice tapes would be labelled T180, as the minutes of video they can hold

who vary dependent on the system in use.

Anyway, this tape holds Alien 3, as stated on the label, along with an alien abduction

documentary and footage of the National Lottery in 1997.

If you had those numbers, you're 20 years too late mate, sorry.

There's also THE SPICE GIRLS.

Yeah boiiiii.

Alright, last tape.

What does it hold, other than Alien Resurrection.

Well, actually, it contains a Spitting Image episode, I think from 1984.

Although I also think this was a repeat which aired sometime during the 90s.

And that's about it.

We've witnessed some reasonably classic TV.

Nothing ground breaking.

Nothing that made me stand up and shout, I remember that!

Well, apart from this Stephen Hawkin advert.

Not that it's an advert FOR Stephen Hawkin.... you get what I'm saying.

So, possibly nothing to write home about, and towards the end of the 90s, In a final

hurrah, I clearly decided that anything interesting I'd recording should be covered with a nice

stream of MTV footage, almost as a big "f*ck you" to my future self.

But still, it's been a treasure hunt of adequate discovery.

and this hunt in particular has also reminded me of the tactile beauty of the VHS cassette.

They may be slow, clunky and noisy to use, but that is all part of the charm.

As is the multitude of makes, lengths, labels, quality and deterioration of each tape.

I think, just like old tape games and floppy disks, the volatility of this medium is one

of the main things which makes them compelling.

It's almost like they continue to live, breath and erode over time.

Just like we do, and it's those qualities which make these mechanical wonders feel closer

to our hearts, than perhaps an SD card would 20 years down the line.

Are you ready to hear a Summer of Fun challenge?

For this challenge, you need to get creative.

Tell us how you get inspired during the summer

and how you express your creativity.

I get inspired by watching other people

and being around my instrument.

It gives me a reason to practice

and a reason I want to get better.

And summer is a perfect time to do that.

(violin playing)

I love summers because I get to go hiking,

I get to sleep under the stars, I get to meet new people,

and I get to practice in different settings

that I usually don't do.

(violin playing)

Getting creative in the summer can be challenging,

but here are some tips for you to stay inspired.

One tip is, you can change up your routine.

During the school year,

I usually practice after dinner in the living room.

But during the summer,

I can practice in the morning at the park.

Another tip is to change up your medium.

Besides violin, I love drama.

Sometimes it's fun to practice still in character

from one of my plays.

The last tip is, you can do stuff for yourself.

One, during the school year,

my teachers usually give me music for me to learn.

But during the summer, I can feel more free

and play music that I wanna learn,

and sometimes even compose my own stuff.

Now it's your turn, Justice fans!

Accept the challenge and show us how you live creatively.

Tina Termite | Buzzly's Buddies | Maker Fun Factory VBS - Duration: 1:57.

Thanks for watching Lifetree Kids!

Welcome back to another day of making friends, making memories, and probably making a mess

at Maker Fun Factory!

The best part is that you're discovering that God created you and built you for a purpose.

I'm Tina Termite.

I may be little but you won't believe the big stuff me and my friends can make!

Termites sometimes get a bad rap because God made us to eat stuff like wood.

Yep, stuff you build your house from!

But out in the wild, check out some of the stuff we can make!

These termite mounds are strong.

They can last up to 100 years!

They're also the perfect place for us to live.

They're cool in the hot summer months and cozy when it's cold outside.

Human engineers actually study these sturdy homes to see what they can learn about building

for people.

Wow!

Our homes are strong, secure, and long lasting.

That reminds me of God! When you've got something hard to do, or the world seems like it's against

you, or life just seems rough, remember that a mighty God is on your side!

The Bible promises that, "If God is for us, who can ever be against us?"

You may be small, but you've got a big God on your side!

God is for you!

5 REAL Places That Could Be PORTALS to Another DIMENSION - Duration: 10:09.

We live in a world full of tales and myths of wonder and mystery.

Some of these stories are nothing more than the impressive work of our human imagination,

while others are founded on mankind's creative attempt to make sense of things that are beyond

people's existing knowledge and understanding of a particular time.

But, of course, there are also those that are not completely far-fetched from being

true, and given our curious nature and our openness to consider a limitless array of

possibilities, some of us consider these myths and legends quite believable, if not as undeniably

true.

And since, we're in the topic of plausible conjecture, I would like to talk about an

enduring speculation by some people that is getting more and more support from the scientific

community and is just waiting for an acceptable empirical evidence in order to be confirmed.

I am referring to the hypothesis that there could be actual portals on our planet that

could potentially lead to other worlds or dimensions.

The widespread conversation and debate regarding where or not there are such things as parallel

worlds or other dimensions and that there could be portals located in different parts

of the globe which lead to them are not a recent development.

The idea of parallel universes and various planes of existence have been entertained

by the brightest minds of our ancient past and can be gleaned from deep-rooted spiritual

practices and religious beliefs.

But in our modern era, some people have even gone so far as to identify which areas on

the face of the earth are currently hiding actual portals, stargates or passageways which

grant mortal men access to worlds and dimensions beyond our own.

And so, without further ado, here are five (5) real places on Earth that could be portals

to other dimensions.

Number 1 – The Abu Ghurab in Egypt.

Located south of Cairo, Egypt and situated on the rim of the desert plateau on the western

bank of the longest river in the world, the Nile, the Abu Ghurab or "the crow's nest"

is an archaeological site comprising of the sun temples of the pharaohs Nyuserre Ini and

Userkaf, both of which were built in the 25th century BCE during the Egyptian period of

the Old Kingdom.

The site is regarded as one of the most precious ancient treasures of Egypt and is arguably

one of the most amazing archaeological locations on the planet.

But more than these glorifying labels, it is also believed by some people that this

site is home to one of the oldest stargates that can be found across the globe.

Somewhere within Abu Ghurab, an ancient platform crafted from alabaster was uncovered.

Alabaster is a gemstone made of calcite regarded by ancient Egyptians as the precious stone

of the sun gods, and was thought to be in sync with the vibrations of the Earth.

And so, it is believed that the site of Abu Ghurab was actually construted for the purpose

of elevating people's spiritual awareness which consequently allowed them to communicate

and link with the sacred energies of the universe, known as the Neters.

What's interesting about the idea of communicating with the Neters through vibrations is that

it is quite similar with the oral legends of Cherokee Native Americans which speak of

formless "thought beings" that would travel to Earth from the Pleiades star cluster by

riding sound waves.

Add this to the speculation that advanced technology was used to construct the site,

it is not surprising that this ancient Egyptian location is considered to be a possible portal

to another world or dimension.

Number 2 – The Sedona Vortexes in the United States.

Sedona is a city located somewhere in the northern Verde Valley expanse of the state

of Arizona.

At one point, this area was referred to by the Native American tribes as Nawanda, and

regarded it as a sacred city.

It is believed that that red rocks of the city's desert are "spiritually charged,"

and that there is a high concentration of "spiritual vortices" in this region.

A vortex is an area of highly-concentrated energy that rises from the earth, and these

"vortexes" are thought to be portals or passageways for celestial beings and terrestrial

spirits.

For those who believe in the existence of these vortexes, they can tell that they have

encountered one when they sense vibrations from the ground and they feel a range of tingling

sensation on their skin, particularly on the nape of the neck and the shoulder blades.

New Age proponents believe that Sedona has these power spots and vortexes in abundance,

making the mountains of Arizona the home of the purported "doorway to the gods" . This

is also the reason why Sedona is a very popular destination for people with spiritual and

metaphysical interests.

(ANCIENT STONE ARRANGEMENT IN LAKE MICHIGAN – UNITED STATES)

Number 3 – The Ancient Stone Arrangement in the United States.

Back in 2007, while scientists were looking to examine old boat wrecks, they discovered

a Stonehenge-like stone structures standing on the floor of Lake Michigan, near Transverse

City in the state of Michigan in the United States.

These structures were discovered by Mark Holly, a professor of underwater archaeology at Northwestern

Michigan University, and are believed to be 9,000 years old.

Another interesting detail about the archaeological find is that one of its stones had a carving

of a mastodon – an elephant-like creature that became extinct more than 10,000 years

ago.

The exact location of the stone structures has not been disclosed to the public by the

researchers who discovered the archaeological site out of respect to the local Native American

tribes who want to limit the number of people visiting the area.

Although the exact age and archaeological relevance of the Stonehenge-like site is still

heavily debated by mainstream scientists until now, some people believe that the ancient

stone arrangement could be a stargate or a portal since the area is also known for the

mysterious disappearances of boats and ships that sailed on the lake.

Some of these boats have completely vanished along with its crew while others stayed afloat

on its waters for days.

However, the people aboard them, for some unknown reason, turned out to have disappeared

without a trace.

Number 4 – The Stonehenge in England.

It's safe to say that the Stonehenge is one of the most popular ancient rock structures

in the world, and it is also no secret that this famous tourist destination in the United

Kingdom has been the subject of intense debate over the date of when it was built as well

as the true purpose it served after its construction.

Mainstream historians will tell you that this bizarre rock formation was built around 5,000

years in the past.

As for how it was constructed, they say that they were built partly from bluestones and

that these stones were excavated and transported from a quarry site located 240 miles away.

On the other hand, less conventional experts will tell you that the Stonehenge is much

older than the first settlements that were established in the area 5,000 years ago, with

some going so far as to claim that the ancient site is actually an energy portal.

It is believed by some people that the location of the Stonehenge has a strategic and spiritual

significance because 14 ley lines converge to where the rock structures stand, which,

consequently, form a powerful vortex.

While this theory may seem like a bit of a stretch, there is one story in the late 20th

century that somehow supports the suggestion that the Stonehenge could be a stargate or

a portal.

In August 1971, a group of people at the ancient site suddenly vanished following the sudden

formation of a violent storm and the successive appearance of several bolts of lightning from

the sky.

Later, when a policeman passed by the site, not a single person was found in the vicinity

of the Stonehenge other than a few tents and a soaked campfire.

And finally, Number 5 – The Gate of the Gods in Peru.

Back in 1996, local tour guide Jose Luis Delgado Mamani accidentally rediscovered an ancient

site situated in the vicinity of Lake Titicaca and near the mountain-filled region of Hayu

Brand in Peru while he was exploring the area for his job.

The region itself is venerated by the local natives as the "city of the gods" and

researchers are of the opinion that several monuments could be uncovered beneath its surface.

What Mamani found in this sacred area, in particular, is a gigantic door-like carving

on the face of the Hayu Marca Mountain, and is referred to as "Puerta de Hayu Marca,"

which when translated in English means "The Gate to the Gods."

The colossal "gate" measures 22 feet by 22 feet, or seven meters tall and seven meters

wide.

A smaller "doorway" can be found in the center of the gate at its base, which is only

6.5 feet or two meters high.

According to Native American legends, the Puerta de Hayu Marca is the "gateway to

the lands of the gods," and that heroic mortals pass through the smaller door to meet

the gods in their realm or domain.

Consequently, by passing through doorway, these heroes are granted immortality and get

to live among the gods.

The larger gate, on the other hand, were used by the gods themselves when they occasionally

accompanied the immortal men in instances that they returned to Earth to visit their

kingdoms.

There is also another legend that tells the tale of Aramu Maru, an Incan priest who served

in the temple of the Seven Rays.

As the story goes, Aramu Maru fled the temple in the 16th century to escape from the Spanish

conquerors that arrived in Peru.

He brought along with him a magical golden disk referred to as the "Key of the Gods

of the Seven Rays."

He headed for the mountain of Hayu Marca where he performed a ritual with Shaman priests

to open the smaller doorway of the Gate of the Gods.

Vibrant blue light shone through the tunnel, and when Amaru Maru passed through it, he

vanished from the face of the Earth and is believed to have traveled to the realm of

the gods, never to be seen again.

I may have only listed five actual ancient sites that could contain portals or stargates

that lead to other worlds and dimensions, but there are probably dozens, if not hundreds,

of these otherworldly gateways spread across the globe.

Who knows?

There might be a portal hiding somewhere inside your own home, maybe even in your closet!

But if, on the off-chance that you do stumble upon an actual stargate to another world or

a passageway to the realm of celestial beings, will you dare to pass through it out of amazement

and sheer curiosity?

If so, what do you think could be waiting for you on the other side?

5 UNNATURAL Animals We BRED Into Existence - Duration: 6:59.

It's fascinating to think how crossbreds are essentially the legos of the natural world;

only instead of plastic bricks and toy blocks, different animals mixed and matched until

something far more interesting, eye-catching, and fun to play finally takes shape.

But much like these overprice lego blocks, crossbreeding generally does not come without a cost.

Artificial selection, otherwise referred to as selective breeding, is a rather convenient

way of phrasing our ability as human beings to proactively shape the evolution of other

animal life forms to serve our preferences, curiosity, and often times entertainment.

So in this video, we are going to talk about several popular crossbreeds that despite their domestic prominence,

suffer from mutations that have negatively affected their evolution.

Number 1: Large Tail Han Sheep

Also referred to as Fat Tailed Sheep, the Large Tail Han Sheep is a domestic Mongolian

sheep that is best known for its excessively large tails and hind quarters.

Basically, this sheep got back.

It is widely believed that the Large Tail Han Sheep was originally developed in the

agricultural regions of Henan, Hebei, Shandong, Anhui, and Jiangsu Provinces.

Today, this sheep is most commonly raised in the Northern parts of Africa, the Middle

East, and parts of Central Asia.

The distinctive physical profile of the the Large Tail Han Sheep is specifically designed

by professional crossbreeders to keep most of the fat of the animal localized

in their tails.

The purpose of localizing the sheep's fat store is to make it rather convenient for

people to harvest the fat as cooking oil after the sheep is dead.

Despite being tough and durable, the unique physical features of the Large Tail Sheep

has made it suitable only to the plains.

With an oversized tail weighing as heavy as 25kgs, the sheep now has a difficult

time moving around during grazing.

Number 2: Dong Tao Chicken

The Dong Tao Chicken, fondly called as Dragon Chicken, is a domesticated fowl crossbreed

that is most recognizable for its unproportionately oversized feet.

This crossbreed got its name from the town where it is believed to have originated from---the

small provincial village of Dong Tao in Vietnam.

Due to its limited numbers, the Dong Tao chicken is one of the rarest domesticated chicken

breeds in the world.

Prized for its delicious meat, the chicken was once only bred exclusively for

the consumption of royal families.

To this day, the Dong Tao Chicken remains a rarity because of the notorious difficulty

that is involved in breeding them.

The high demand for the meat coupled with its

short supply, has allows it, as a commodity, to command an unreasonably high price:

$2,500 USD

Today, the chicken is now mostly raised by professional chicken breeders.

And still, much like the in the olden times, its meat can only cater to the wealthy and

luxury restaurants where it is almost exclusively served.

Number 3: Damascene Goat

The Damascene Goat, also known as the Damascus Goat, regularly claims the title of "The

Most Beautiful Goat" in Middle Eastern goat pageants, which are very popular in the region.

Yes, I am serious.

And yes, this goat supports world peace.

The Damascene Goat is a breed that is native to the Middle East.

Today, it is most prominently raised in Cyprus, Lebanon, and Syria.

Sometime in the 19th century, the British introduced the breed to Cyprus where it picked up the name Damascus Goat.

This goat became so popular a breed that it is prominently referenced in a number of classical

works in Arabic Literature.

Now the thing is, it is not unheard of for professional goat breeders to breed Damascene Goat specifically

for acquiring its many pronounced physical trait.

The Damascene Goat is best known for its short and snubbed nose, and its undershot jaws.

If anything, the physical mutations of the the Damascene Goat is rather similar to that

of the Bulldog.

The mutation that is responsible for the facial contortions of the Damascene Goat has yet

to be fully understood.

But apart from its unique cosmetic traits, the goat

is also utilized for its milk and meat production.

Number 4: Gibber Italicus Canary

Bird breeding methods, over the years, have progressed to the point where it has allowed

breeders to practically control everything about the bird---from shaping their skeletal

formation, to manipulating their feather color, density, and softness., to modulating their

natural birdsong.

The Gibber Italicus Canary is exactly the result of such bird breeding methods.

This canary is a product of intensive close inbreeding efforts made by

Italian breeders.

Much like most inbred crossbreeds, this canary is prone to inbreeding depression that typically

results to a host of health problems, including compromised fertility, high offspring mortality,

and a shorter lifespan.

The Gibber Italicus is considered to be among the most fragile canaries in the world.

It is specifically bred by bird hobbyist and breeders who appreciate, for some reason,

this canary eye-catching humpbacked body, balding head, and skinny profile.

To enthusiasts of this bird breed, the ideal Gibber Italicus Canary possesses a figure

seven shaped body, long stiff legs, and unfeathered breastbone area.

So maybe these guys are a huge fan of the hunchback in Notre Dame? I don't know.

Number 5: Bubble Eye Goldfish

People and goldfish, they go way back.

For the longest time, the goldfish has been an aquarium staple.

Having been specifically cultivated for purposes of ornamentation, the goldfish has undergone

countless crossbreeding that it now comes in different shapes, and sizes---one of the strangest

of which comes in the form of the Bubble Eye Goldfish.

It took many years of selective breeding and genetic tinkering to craft the distinctive

appearance of the Bubble Eye Goldfish.

Like its' name suggest, this goldfish is most recognizable for its grossly oversized, fluid-filled

sacs that bubble under its eyes.

These sacs or eye bubbles are known to occasionally deflate, and even burst.

Among those considered as good specimens are with clean, unmarked back, and eye bubbles

that closely match, both in color and size.

Apart from its distinct eye bubble, the Bubble Eye Goldfish is unmistakable for its malformed,

upward-turned eyes, and irregularly curved spine, and lack of dorsal fins.

This breed of fish are abnormally fragile, even within carefully controlled environments.

Their eye bubbles are incredibly delicate and any contact with other fish can burst them.

So in conclusion,

Through various selective breeding methods, professional crossbreeders has long acquired

the ability to pinpoint and encourage specific traits in animals which they find appealing.

Conversely, crossbreeding also has allowed us to eliminate specific characteristics in

animals that we don't particularly care for.

Despite the number of widely popular crossbreds, from American bulldogs to Savannah Cats, what

remains relatively unknown to many people is the fact that it doesn't take much qualification

to start messing around with the otherwise natural evolution of animals.

And eventually, what's to say we are going to stop with animals?

Let's mess with humans as well.

We are already doing that. We have designer babies coming out.

That the parents can choose the sex and the eye color.

I mean its good that, okay maybe eventually we can eliminate certain diseases from ever occurring in our offspring.

I mean, theoretically that's good.

But I feel like eventually when this science does apply very generally to human beings,

we're just going to try out do one and another in creating the perfect baby.

But is that really part of natural selection?

I don't think so but let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Thank you all so much for watching this video. I'll see you later.

How to Record and Play Back Mouse Activity in macOS - Duration: 4:22.

Hi this is Phil from Make Tech Easier and welcome to how to record and playback

mouse activity in Mac OS. The first step to increasing your computational

efficiency is recognizing opportunities for automation. Whenever you have to

repeat the same action more than a couple of times you should think about

how you can automate it. For example if you have to execute the same mouse

action over and over again you can use software to record and playback mouse

activity. Before we begin it's important to realize that mouse recording is a

little bit stupid. It simply records and plays back a

series of actions; it doesn't change based on context or window position so

simple things can cause it to fail. For example if you accidentally move a

window a couple of pixels, the cursor might miss a button and cause the whole

macro to fail. For this reason mouse recording is only

particularly useful in niche circumstances, like repeating the same

action many times without change. Using Automator to record and playback Mouse

actions. Every Mac contains a built-in software called Automator. This

application allows you to automate a set of basic actions on your Mac using a

rudimentary block based programming language. But Automator doesn't have

blocks for everything since the minority of apps make their

internal functions available to Automator

to get around this Automator includes a feature called "watch me do" that allows

users to record and playback their actions. You can use this as part of a

larger automated workflow or use it as a standalone action. Here's what you do.

1. open Automator from the spotlight menu or applications folder. Click on the

workflow icon and click Choose to create a new workflow. The workflows are

triggered from within the Automator application and run while the

application is open. You can also create applications that can be run outside of

Automator for later use, or services that run from the context menu.

3. click the record button in the menu bar. (If you haven't added Automator

to your accessibility menu yet, you will need to do that before you can proceed.)

4. execute the actions you want to save as a macro. Any input you provide will

be recorded. This includes mouse movement and keyboard actions. 5. when finished

click the stop button in the Automator HUD. 6. click the Run button to playback

your actions. Using MurGaa recorder to record and playback Mouse actions. If you

are not a fan of Automator or you find its interface limiting you can use the

free MurGaa recorder to record and playback mouse actions in macOS.

Download MurGaa recorder from the developers website (link in the

description) 2. unzip the download file and open the application. 3. before you

start recording Mouse activity you should set a keyboard shortcut for

beginning and ending recording. This will make your recordings cleaner and more

repeatable since they won't include you clicking the start and stop recording

buttons. 4. use the start or stop keyboard shortcut to begin and end your

mouse recording. A digital voice effect will confirm that recording has started

and stopped when you successfully press your hotkeys. 5. click the play recording

button to play back your recording.

If you want to repeat the action more than once you can change the number next

to the play recording button to something greater than one. You can also

set a delay before beginning playback or adjust the playback speed and the

options at the bottom of the window. Conclusion. As you've seen here you can

easily use macOS's built-in Automator app or the free MurGaa recorder to record

and playback Mouse actions on macOS. Ok as always, thanks for watching and please

subscribe and add your comments below. See you next time!
