Vegan Savoury Bread Pudding - Eggless Recipe | Vegan Brinner Collab - Duration: 9:01.

Hello everyone, It's been a while since we posted the last

video and we've actually missed you.

But we have been working on something a little bit bigger than the usual video.

You might have caught the buzz already if you follow us on social media

as we shared a little teaser last week.

So, today's video is a collaboration with a bunch vegan youtubers and we've each

come up with a brinner recipe.

So, brinner is a breakfast meal that you have at dinnertime.

And our recipe is a vegan savoury bread pudding with mushrooms and spinach.

It's a simple recipe that makes a totally scrumptious breakfast as well as

a new classic dinnertime main or side dish.

So, if all this talk has stoked your creativity and interest, head to the playlist which

is down below in the description to see what everyone else is making.

Here's a little preview from the other collaborators.

After seeing what everyone else is making, you would probably be having brinner

for weeks to come.

So, let's get started and make our vegan savoury bread pudding.

When we think of bread pudding we usually think of a warm homey dessert or sweet breakfast,

but the combination of stale bread, plant-based milk, a few herbs and vegetables also makes

a pretty tasty savoury dish.

This recipe is surprisingly forgiving and can be put together in little time.

You'll find the link to the full printable recipe in the description below the video.

This savoury bread pudding is versatile and can accommodate an array of different add-ins

– leafy or earthy vegetables, herbs, legumes and beans etc.

For today I am using a mixture of oyster mushrooms and white mushrooms, spinach and sliced tomatoes

for topping.

Heat a skillet on medium high temperature.

Add in the mushrooms with a pinch of salt.

Saute for about 2 minutes then add the spinach.

Once the spinach is lightly wilted, turn off the heat.

Place the mushrooms and spinach in a bowl and set aside.

Dilute the cornstarch with 1/3 cup of non-dairy milk.

Stir and mix well.

I am using coconut milk for its richness and fragrance

but any other non-dairy milk will do.

Add the cornstarch mixture to the rest of the coconut milk.

Aquafaba (or the liquid from a can of beans) firms up the texture of the pudding a little.

But if you don't have aquafaba on hand then just substitute with some more milk.

Add in the salt and nutritional yeast.

Nutritional yeast will add a cheesy flavour to this pudding making it exceptionally tasty.

Set the milk mixture aside for now.

Cut the bread into small pieces.

Any stale bread including gluten-free will work in this recipe.

I am using a store-bought quinoa and kamut bread.

I've omitted the butter or margarine that is traditionally called for in this recipe

as coconut milk adds a lot of richness already.

Feel free to spread the bread with some vegan margarine prior to cutting it if you wish.

Lightly grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

I am using a ceramic pan, but you can also use glass or tin.

Place the first layer of bread at the bottom of the baking pan.

Stir the milk mixture and pour about 1/3 of the amount onto the bread.

Press the bread into the milk to soak it.

Sprinkle with some thyme leaves, either fresh or dried.

Add a little more milk if you feel you need more to soak the bread.

Different types of bread will require slightly more or less milk.

Layer half of the mushrooms and spinach on the bread.

Then cover with a second layer of bread.

Pour some more milk onto the second layer, enough to soak the bread.

Add some more thyme.

Add a little more milk if needed but reserve some of the milk for the last layer.

Press the bread well into the milk.

Add the rest of the mushrooms and spinach followed by a last layer of bread.

Pour the rest of the milk mixture and some more thyme.

Press the bread well to soak it completely.

Top with a final layer of sliced tomatoes.

Sprinkle with some ground black pepper.

Let the bread stand in the baking pan for about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).

Bake for about 45 – 50 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let stand for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

This savoury pudding is just right for any occasion, can even be made ahead of time and

can be enjoyed both warm or cold.

It makes great leftovers too Check the description for the link to the

printable recipe where I've also included some tips and substitutes.

If you enjoyed this recipe, please give us a thumbs up or share it.

The Inspiring Story Behind Duke's Mayonnaise | Southern Living - Duration: 4:11.

My name is Eugenia, better known as Genie.

I am the granddaughter of Eugenia Duke, the mayonnaise lady.

Well my grandmother, I guess, from day one

was an excellent cook and loved to cook,

loved to feed people.

During the first world war,

she started making sandwiches for the soldiers

at Fort Severe.

The soldiers just loved her sandwiches.

She was just known--

Because of the sauce that was on it.

Because it had the special sauce on it.

(mumbles) and one of her friends said,

Eugenia, quit fooling with those sandwiches.

Just make your mayonnaise.

So that's what she did.

She started making her mayonnaise

and my mother said,

that little thing, she got herself a car

and learned how to drive when women didn't even know

how to drive,

and she would drive all over the south

selling her mayonnaise.

It was 1717 when she sold it.

By then she had moved to California

'cause my mother and father,

but I don't know how long after she got there

before she started Duchess Sandwich Company.

I can still see the little yellow trucks

that drove all around Oakland, California

delivering her sandwiches.

When the second world war started,

somehow or other that little thing,

she got the contract for feeding all those shipyard workers.

Those trucks got bigger and bigger and bigger

and they were driving all over delivering

the most wonderful food you ever saw.

She was an entrepreneur and had this,

she was very successful

and, I mean it was kind of uncommon.

A female 100 years ago staring her own company,

and becoming such a success.

Before she could even vote.

I mean yeah, before she even had all of her rights.

That's really what I thought was so cool

was that she couldn't even vote and she was making,

she made 10,000 sandwiches in one day.

But the funny thing is,

not one of us had ever heard of Duke's Mayonnaise.

They didn't sell it in California.

And when Jack and I moved here,

I walked into Harris Teeter and there's

this whole wall of Duke's Mayonnaise.

I said, where did that come from anyway?

I couldn't believe it.

Growing up in California,

we always heard the story

that our great great grandmother had invented mayonnaise.

Mayonnaise.

Yeah it wasn't Duke's Mayonnaise,

I wasn't a certain sandwich spread,

it was mayonnaise in general.

She was the inventor.

We didn't really realize how significant

Duke's Mayonnaise was until we came out here to the south.

In California, no one had really heard of it,

you can't really find it in the grocery stores.

It's kind of rare,

and then you come here and it was everywhere.

That sounds ridiculous, I know,

but she was so humble about it.

That was a section of her life that was over.

She came to California to be with her daughter

and her grandchildren,

and she got settled in there

and then she opened another business cooking something.

I don't know that she would necessarily

have ever been able to dream

that a hundred years later it would still be a legacy.

I mean it would be so huge.

With the 100th anniversary,

there's just this locomotive force

of remembering what a huge role she played

in women's contributions to an area

in a very unlikely time.

She was a woman of great drive, obviously,

and a very loving loving person.

The whole picture was just wonderful.

I think that there is something to say

about this having been a family recipe.

She started out just on her own

and now 100 years later it's the exact recipe

that she was creating in her own kitchen.

"SLIPPERY STUFF" LUBE REVIEW (THE BEST!) [CC] - Duration: 7:12.

Hey guys, it's me Chaseypoo. Back at you with another review.

Today, I will be talking about lube. And I've never talked about lube before because I don't really make videos about lube

but I don't know why I haven't and I'm holding so much lube in my hands right now

and I can't wait to talk to you about it. As always, these videos are sponsored by Early To Bed who send me

products for me to try out and review for you guys. If you see anything on the wall that you're really interested in they're probably

from Early To Bed although there are a lot of things on there that aren't from Early To Bed.

But take a look at the link in the description below and if you buy anything I get a commission

but you also get a discount because there's a discount code in there, so we both win. Today I will be reviewing lube,

by Slippery Stuff.

This is a company that has a bunch of different types of lubes that I want to touch upon. The first one is

silicone based lube alright, don't use this on any toys that you have because the toys that you have are probably silicone.

You cannot use silicone lube on silicone toys, because it will completely destroy the the wiener the,

whatever silicone toy that you have

it will like erode it. It's just not fun.

So this you will use if you are having sex with a person that has a penis - and I was swallowing there

I wasn't trying to not say the words. I was literally swallowing. I was literally swallowing as I was saying penis.

So you can use it if someone who has a penis. If you really want you can

technically use silicone lube on a condom if you put it on your toy

but I will not recommend that. Don't do that because it can still touch the silicone on the base

and that's really - don't just, don't do it alright. This is also good for masturbation.

So if you're just going to play with yourself, and that's what you want, and you're looking for something

to use,

silicone-based lube is good for that. The reason why silicone based lube is so good and why people still use it - even if you

can't use it with toys - is because it really lasts long because it is made out of silicone.

But there are also negative sides of it. So other than it would not mess up all of your silicone toys,

it does stain things.

I'm not sure this one actually stains anything,

but I've heard that a lot of silicone lubes do stain things. So anyways this lube is very good for masturbation

and if you're going have sex with someone with the peen so yeah. Or I guess if you want to just like put your

body parts inside yourself if that's not big enough these things inside you.

The second thing by Slippery Stuff that I want to talk about is the

um,

Personal Lubricant liquid, water-based. Now Early To Bed does not have this specific model on their website

I don't know if they will ever get it, but I went to a sex shop, and I decided to ask them

'what's your best lube', and I found a whole bunch of stuff that I was like

I don't know about this. So I googled it,

but a lot of people - a lot of people - said that this was really good. Now the thing about this lube

It is very good and it lasts very long.

Which is what I've been looking for in water-based lube because that's really hard to find because it's not silicone

and it dries out really quickly. But the thing with this lube is that when you put it on your hand -

and I'm not going to do it because I'm going to get lube everywhere - you put it on your hand and even if you close

the tip the lube somehow it just kind of it kind of dangles on so then you have a trail of lube. Alright,

I'm going to be like really graphic

and I was kind of doing some stuff on my floor the other day and like suction cup a peen -

I was kind of like riding it: There was fucking lube everywhere. When I walk on that side of my room

I'd slip I need to like mop it is dangerous, but in terms of water-based lube that is very much

long-lasting, this is recommended.

I have used Sliquid in the past which is the blue and the pink bottle in the behind me - that is also being reviewed

- that does not last as long as this one. If I was to tell you, if you were asking 'which lube do you like the most'

it will be this one over here by this company.

This is very good lube. Now this is the liquid type.

What I love is that this company makes a lot of different types of lube.

And I will tell you that this is the winner. Out of all the lubes that

I have this is the lube that I found that works the best

it works in so many different ways. Yes, I know that

i'm just showing you - you can't really see because the light. It just says gel and it just says Slippery Stuff.

So this is just what the packaging looks like it looks like it's been bent a lot because there's really not that much lube left in it.

'So Chase why is this the best out there?' Because when you open it up

and you put it onto your hands -

it's a gel which means that it's on your hands and you not going to leak everywhere like the liquid version of Slippery Stuff

water-based. The liquid stuff that I just showed you, it really just kind of goes everywhere,

it's very hard to cup it and it like, leaks and it like kind of strings along

and there's lube everywhere. This, you put it on your hand

and it stays on your hand and you can put it onto the peen and it's not just going to go everywhere.

It's going to go exactly where you're putting it.

I will say that this lube is

amazing

when using the Bono.

If you don't know what the Bono is please look at the description and the link please - look at the link in the description below.

I put the

reviews that I have done for the Bono -

there is a reservoir tip in the front where you have a syringe.

What I do is I take the lube in here

and I put it inside the Bono. So when you squeeze the Bono it comes out a little bit

and then you're able to jack off the Bono before you're having sex with someone or if you're going to masturbate with it.

But the gel is amazing, this is my favorite lube.

I'm about to buy like a bucket of it, and I'm not even joking with it -

I have found the lube that works for me and works with the things that I like to do. I like to do anal a lot

and having water-based lube is really tricky because it dries out really quickly - and an ass is not moist like the front hole.

So I have a lot of issues with that, so what do I need to do? What should I do right? So I have decided

to use this lube even though I didn't know anything about it

and I bought it and I'm very happy that I did because for anal it's really great. It does dry out,

I can't lie to you. It's water-based. It's not perfect. It's not silicone.

Um.

But it doesn't dry out as fast as

Sliquid and it doesn't dry out as fast as the liquid version of Slippery Stuff. The gel is really really good

And you do need to apply

but you don't need to reapply as often. And the really great thing about this, too

is that it is taste and odor free. It doesn't taste or smell or like -

I don't know how to explain it, it doesn't taste like lube. Like, lube

I feel it has like a distinct taste. This doesn't smell like lube.

But the bottle a little bit sticky because I was using it a little bit. Anyways,

If you have any questions

please let me know if there's any lube that you recommend that you say is the best lube that you've ever tried, and it's water

based - please tell me because I would like to try all the different types of lubes and review them for you guys.

If you have any questions

let me know. If you would like to buy this Early To Bed sells this and also sells the silicone version over here,

I will put the links in the description below. Please, like I said, this is from Early To Bed.

They're awesome.

If you would like to buy this product go in the link in the description, use my discount code because then you get a discount.

Alright, thank you so much for watching. I love you guys so much have a great day. Bye!

The LV x Supreme Pop-Ups Have Been Cancelled - Duration: 2:01.

What's up, guys?

Beija here for Complex News.

By Tuesday afternoon, hypebeasts all around the world had begun lining up for Friday's

long-awaited drop of the Louis Vuitton and Supreme collaborative collection.

It was scheduled to be sold at pop-up locations—mostly LV stores—all around the world.

Locations were planned in Beijing, L.A., Vancouver, New York City, Miami, London, Paris, and more.

At some of the locations, including the LV store in NYC's SoHo neighborhood, there was

already a long line.

Unfortunately, Supreme fans are going to be waiting for a lot longer than they anticipated.

Early Friday evening, Louis Vuitton confirmed that the collection will not happen.

"Regrettably, this collection will no longer be sold in any stores or online," an email

from LV client services read.

The company also confirmed this stance on Twitter.

For those paying attention, the cancellation didn't exactly come as a surprise.

Back in May, plans for a Supreme and Louis Vuitton pop-up in New York City were cancelled

when the members of the neighborhood community board voted unanimously to deny the companies

the needed permit.

Among the concerns the board cited were Supreme's lack of a way to let people who live or work

nearby into their homes and businesses; the company's absence of a security plan; and

the fact that they hadn't come up with a way to deal with the inevitable public urination

and sleeping outdoors that goes along with a days-long line.

On top of all that, Supreme's history of throwing chaotic unpermitted events in NYC public parks

didn't help their case.

Plans for the Louis Vuitton and Supreme collaboration were first announced in January.

LV's creative director Kim Jones explained the reason for the team-up.

"I used to work when I was at college unpacking boxes of Supreme at a company in London that

distributed it when it was just starting out, so it's something I've known all along

in my life.

I just feel that the strength of their graphic versus the strength of the Louis Vuitton graphic,

and that kind of Pop Art feeling—it works together perfectly."

There is no word on whether the collection, which was already shown at LV's fall/winter

2017 show, will be available in the future, online or in any other capacity.
