Getting people to watch your videos can be very hard especially if you have a
new channel. When you're putting hours and hours of work into content that you
believe is very valuable for your audience and only a few people watch,
it can be very depressing. Sometimes you may even want to give up. In this video I'll
help you identify why your channel is not getting enough views and give you 10

analytics will help you to quickly identify what's working and what's not
working with your videos for instance it will give you the 10 videos that are
getting the most traffic on your channel Under subscribers you can identify
which videos are attracting the most subscribers Under traffic sources you
can identify those videos which are getting the most traffic once you've
identified those videos that are getting the most traffic just create more of
them number 2 channel art when I upload a new
video I notice that most of the views come from my channel homepage rather
than the video watch page therefore it makes sense that the channel art on your
channel homepage is attractive and professional make sure your channel
banner clearly states what your channel is all about when visitors first see
your channel banner they're going to make a quick decision within 10 seconds
to check out more of your content make sure you also have a channel trailer
that encapsulates the content of your channel number 3 channel homepage
organize your channel home page by adding sections that contain your best
playlists when visitors first see your channel homepage they might want to
explore your content more deeply make sure each section contains a description
that summarizes the content of that section your homepage also contains a
series of thumbnails your thumbnails are what gets the first click when people see
your videos in the search engines so make sure your thumbnails contain an
attractive design that gets people to click on them if people don't click on
your thumbnail they're not going to go further and click on your video click

search engines use YouTube's autocomplete feature to find the
suggested keywords that people are entering into the search engines create
videos based upon those suggestions to make your keyword research easier use

number five optimization make sure your titles and tags include the keyword
phrase that you've researched for your video the first three lines of your
video description should summarize what your video is all about if you want to
send people to a landing page or a website then include the full URL within
those first few lines number 6 engagement audience retention is one of
the main ranking factors for YouTube videos this means the longer a person is
engaged with your video the better your opportunities of getting ranked in the
search engines to increase engagement for your videos make sure you include a
good hook at the beginning of your video such as a question then get straight
into the meat of your content and include a strong call to action at the end number
7 call to actions use cards and end screens in your videos to link to
videos and related playlists if a viewer leaves your video within the first one
or two minutes and watches another video or another playlist you'll still
get credit for that video this is called session watch time if a viewer watches
several videos in succession you get rewarded for that session number eight
collab with others when you collaborate with another youtuber in your niche you
extend your audience when your collab video is uploaded to their channel then
you have an opportunity to engage with their audience rather than your own
audience number nine upload frequency the YouTube
algorithm rewards channels that upload on a frequent basis the more frequently
you upload videos to your channel the more views you will receive therefore
try to upload new videos at least two or three times a week if you do it even
more frequently you'll receive more views number 10 promote on social media sites
after you've uploaded optimized and published a video your work has just
begun make sure you promote your video on
