Sir Winston Churchill is largely considered to be the saviour of Britain during World

War two, which may be true, but he was also responsible for many other feats, and not

all of them good.

Churchill is a fundamental figure in history, but what would have happened if somebody had

stopped him in his path to power.

Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions, I am Rebecca Felgate and today

we are asking What if Winston Chruchill was assassinated.

Churchill had a long political career, serving as a member of parliament for decades and

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on two occasions.

In the end, he died at the ripe old age of 90.

The outcome of an assassination a man so pivotal in history would totally depend on when and

how he was killed.

Churchill is best known as a stern war leader in Great Britain, who could deliver a rousing

speech when needed.

He would not negotiate with Germany and Hitler at any cost, which led to the Battle of Britain

and the Blitz.

Had Churchill not been around to make these decisions the British experience of World

War two could have been very different.

Had another leader negotiated a peace deal instead of literally sticking to their guns,

like Churchill did, Germany may won the war, becoming a huge world wide superpower, allied

with Britain but by now more powerful.

Germany would have been the main influencer in Europe and would have remained allied with

Japan.

This probably would have heightened tensions with the United States, who could have found

themselves in a cold war type situation with Germany, or even the next victim of the Germanic

Empire's expansion.

Who knows.

Speaking of the United States, Churchill, who was half American himself, was very influential

in Washington.

When Churchill stayed with President Roosevelt for three weeks in December 1941, they forged

a strong friendship.

Churchill pressured Roosevelt to join the war and was even said to have been happy when

Pearl Harbor was bombed as it forced the President's hand.

It is possible without Churchill, the strong relationship the UK and America has now may

not have been truly forged.

Churchill's British American relations extended beyond World War Two, with the Brit arguably

painting the backdrop for the Cold War.

At the Yara Conference in 1945, Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin met at the controversial

decision was made to divide Germany into East and West, communist and non-communist.

Without Churchill, who knows what decision would have been made here….but the cold

war began in that room with those three men.

Churchill would go on to drum up anti-communism sentiment in America and the UK with speeches

like his famous Iron Curtain one.

Churchill developed Operation Unthinkable, but decided not to act on it.

This was a planned world war three on the eve of world war two and would have involved

attacking the Soviet Union.

Had Churchill been killed around this time, it is possible his successor, keen to forge

an identity of their own, would have initiated an attack.

One of Churchill's biggest achievements was assisting in the establishment of the

NHS in 1948.

This allowed access to free healthcare for poor families, still reeling from the war.

He also assisted in getting people back to work and rebuilding Great Britain after the

wounds of the war.

However, on the flip side of all of Churchill's great achievements, like many political leaders,

made mistakes, too.

He essentially created Iraq and shaped the middle east; his influence can be felt in

a lot of tensions in that area of the world today.

He has also been criticised as aiding tensions in Palestine and starving Indian's in his

pursuit to keep the empire strong.

On top of that, he arguably stalled peace between Ireland and the United Kingdom with

his deployment of the reputably brutal Black and Tans.

From a historical stand point, Sir Winston Churchill is a treasured British Politician

who enjoyed the biggest state funeral ever put on when he died in 1965.

Depending on what point he had been assassinated, some or none of the things we have talked

about may never have happened, which would have had more than just an unprecedented butterfly

effect on the world we know now.

Wow, so that was a difficult question for me to answer as the level of speculation on

how much he really changed history is so open to interpretation.

Hello, Welcome back to my channel this is Carine Rose and Happy New Year Happy New

Year for this first video in English on my channel for 2018 I wanted to talk

about something serious something I've seen on YouTube for the past couple of

days if you don't know Logan Paul

I can introduce him to you but I'm sure you know who he is he wasn't by there

doing pranks doing funny videos is funny to a certain extent recently he went to

Japan with his crew it was they were filming in this forest and the forest is

known to me a place where people commit suicide so he went there with his crew

members and the blood the film in the forest making jokes and laughing as

usual but forgetting that the video was going to talk about something very

serious yes in the beginning of the video they had a little warning I'm

going to put it somewhere here but it doesn't really change the part that they

were talking about suicide but in a joking manner in the terminal they had

this person who had committed suicide in the forest in the terminal the body was

hanging and the pleura to face it still offensive

do we agree it's talk of himself that's someone's dad that someone's cousin that

someone's husband someone's brother and the thing is we see on YouTube the best

um nail you have the more views you would get but I don't think Logan pole

as big as he is needs a terrific Tom no to have used to get views I don't think

he needs it I need to have channels like crazy but he doesn't he already has a

fan base he already has subscribers his soul went

ahead and put Ted Turner up the things the thing that baffles me the most is

that he was not alone that means the people around him were okay with him

doing that they edited the video the posted on the Internet as content

creators we have to be mindful and careful about the things that we post on

the internet because it affects people from the moment we turn on a camera we

are someone else's role model we have to be mindful of that we have to be careful

about that because we have kids on this plateau or YouTube is a great platform

but when someone that young 22 year old makes that much money I think they feel

like they are above everything I don't know how YouTube can fix the

situation I don't know how they are going to do it

but this is just my take on it and my message to other youtubers big small

beginners clay let's keep in mind we have kids on this

platform we have people who watch YouTube and apply water watching YouTube

in their everyday lives as parents we have to make sure also that the content

our kids are watching on YouTube appropriate

I know YouTube is doing them the best they can't to filter that kind of

content and since then the video has been deleted the video had around 6

millions views when he got donated and around 6,000 people liked it liked the

video does just to tell you how messed up it is pranks and all that is all

funny and jokes but when it comes to a human life we have to be mindful we have

to be careful we have to think about people who watch YouTube this is my take

on the Logan Paul situation I hope a YouTube is going to find a way to fix it

or to avoid it from repeating itself because the Paul brothers did they are

just out of control out of control this has to stop thank you very much for

Hey guys welcome back to my channel I'm Max and today I'm going to be doing a

Q&A slash get to know me I've done a few videos on YouTube now but I've never

done anything where you guys can get to know me and I answer any questions about

myself so I thought this would be a perfect little thing to do so you guys

can just learn a little bit more about me if anyone is wondering about this

makeup I did film a tutorial on this look which will be going up soon

it is for my New Year's Eve glitter glam makeup so if you fancy sticking

around and seeing me do this Q&A and then keep on watching ok so question 1

where did you grow up I actually grew up in this stunning little town in Cornwall

called St.Ives and it's a little fishing village it's so cute

but when I turned 18 I thought I need to get away I need more than this so I

moved to Cardiff University and then I moved to Bristol which is where I'm

living now for my job question 2 how tall are you I'm actually six foot one

so yeah quite tall question three cats or dogs definitely dogs oh my god

if you know me then you know how embarrassing I am around puppies or dogs

if I see a dog in the street if I see someone who has a dog at a restaurant I

scream and I have to run over and I'm so embarrassing so I'm sorry to anyone who

has ever had to put up with that question 4 what is your favourite

color 100% red is my favorite color I have a red car red phone case red watch

red absolutely everything I just love it question 5 what is your favourite drink

now I'm going to split this down into non-alcoholic and also alcoholic with

non alcoholic I would definitely go water I know that sounds super boring so

do not read me for that but I just love it I drink so much of it like 6

litres a day it's ridiculous and with alcoholic I would have to say a gin and

tonic yes question 6 what is your favorite

animal I would definitely have to say dogs but seeing as we talked about that

before I'm not gonna say that I'd say second favorite is probably giraffes

they are so cute and they have like the longest cutest tongues oh my god they

just so cute question 7 tea or coffee

100% coffee I drink way too much of it but I'm absolutely addicted it is the

first thing that I have when I wake up in the morning and I feel like without

one I cannot function for the rest of the day question 8 what sports do you

play or have you ever played I'm not really into sports as you can probably

tell but one thing that I did really enjoy was swimming I used to train like

five times a week and I actually swam for my county and town in Cornwall so

yeah I would have to go with swimming question 9 what is your favorite book I

would have to say my favorite book is IT by Stephen King I absolutely love

Stephen King and I just think the universe is he creates are just

incredible and I do not know how he comes up with all that kind of stuff but

yeah it is probably like this long is insane it took me about a year to read

but it's the most incredible book that I've ever read so if you want a book

recommended then I would definitely recommend that you go read that one next

question 10 who are some of your favorite youtubers I'd have to say that the first

youtubers that got me into YouTube were probably Tyler Oakley and Joey Graceffa

that as I have kind of moved into makeup and loving makeup my favorite makeup

youtubers 100% Jeffrey star manny mua michael Finch Laura Lee and yeah I

could go on and on so I'm probably just gonna stop right now next question what

is your favorite movie I would have to say that my favorite movie is either

Legally Blonde or the holiday they are both absolutely amazing but for the

moment because it's Christmas I have been watching the holiday a lot I

absolutely love it so if you have not seen it go and watch it

question 12 are you single or taken I am in fact taken I have been in

relationship with a beautiful six foot six man for two years so hands off

question 13 what is your ideal first date I'd have to say probably a nice

walk along the beach and getting some food from like a takeaway place and just

sitting on the beach and just learning things about each

other and yeah that just sounds so romantic and yeah my ideal type of date

question 14 do you speak any other languages I do speak a tiny bit of

Italian but definitely not very well I am half Italian and a lot of my family

are from Italy so I do try my hardest when we go over to visit them but I am

not very good to be honest question 15 do you have any siblings I have a one

sister she lives in London and she is amazing question 16 how do you describe

your fashion sense I would have to say it depends on what I'm doing because I

do do a lot of running and I have a lot of friends who run here in Bristol so

when I'm out with them I normally wear active wear and just comfy clothes and

things like that but what I do really like to do when I'm

visiting London and anything else I just love dressing up smart

I love Gucci I love Dolce & Gabbana I love the Versace and all that kind of

boujee stuff so when I can afford it then I like to wear that kind of stuff

question 17 what are some of your favorite TV shows I would have to say

number one 100% RuPaul's Drag Race no messing around here that show is amazing

I also love lost and stranger things and orange is the new black and west world I

love I could just could go on and on and on about I'd have to say number one

RuPaul's Drag Race all stars three I'm ready!

am using a Mac to edit all my videos and I think they are amazing they are

expensive but in my opinion that they're worth it

this is the new iPhone 10 its' absolutely stunning and I love it I always choose

iPhones over Android and that is just because I have a Mac I have a iPad so

they just all link together really well final question question 20 what is

your favorite type of food I would have to say Italian food I absolutely love

Italian food and that it's not just because I'm Italian although it probably

does help I love pasta I love carbs in

general so Italian food is definitely the way to go for me okay guys that is
