Believe Dogma as it was once declared

There is only one way to believe dogma: as holy mother Church has once declared.

Pope Pius IX, First Vatican Council, ex cathedra:

"Hence, also, that understanding of its sacred dogmas must be perpetually retained,

which Holy Mother Church has once declared;

and there must never be a recession from that meaning under the specious name of a deeper understanding."

This definition of the First Vatican Council is critically important for dogmatic purity,

because the primary way the Devil attempts to corrupt Christ's doctrines is by getting men to recede

(move away) from the Church's dogmas as they were once declared.

There is no meaning of a dogma other than what the words themselves state and declare,

so the Devil tries to get men to "understand" and "interpret" these words in a way that is different from how holy mother Church has declared them.

Many of us have dealt with people who have attempted to explain away the clear meaning of the definitions

on Outside the Church There is No Salvation by saying, "you must understand them."

What they really mean is that you must understand them

in a way different from what the words themselves state and declare.

And this is precisely what the First Vatican Council condemns.

It condemns their moving away from the understanding of a dogma which holy mother Church has once declared

to a different meaning, under the specious (false) name of a "deeper understanding."

Besides those who argue that we must "understand" dogmas in a different way than what the words themselves state and declare,

there are those who, when presented with the dogmatic definitions on Outside the Church There is No Salvation,

say, "that is your interpretation."

They belittle the words of a dogmatic formula to nothing other than one's private interpretation.

And this also is heresy.

Pope St. Pius X, The Errors of the Modernists:

"The dogmas which the Church professes as revealed are not truths fallen from heaven,

but they are a kind of interpretation of religious facts,

which the human mind by a laborious effort prepared for itself."- Condemned

"The dogmas, the sacraments, the hierarchy, as far as pertains both to the notion and to the reality,

are nothing but interpretations and the evolution of Christian intelligence,

which have increased and perfected the little germ latent in the Gospel."- Condemned

Dogmas of the faith, like Outside the Church There is No Salvation, are truths fallen from heaven;

they are not interpretations.

To accuse one who adheres faithfully to these truths fallen from heaven of engaging in "private interpretation" is to speak heresy.

The very point of a dogmatic DEFINITION is to DEFINE precisely and exactly what the Church means by the very words of the formula.

If it does not do this by those very words in the formula or document (as the Modernists say)

then it has failed in its primary purpose – to define – and was pointless and worthless.

Anyone who says that we must interpret or understand the meaning of a dogmatic definition,

in a way which contradicts its actual wording,

is denying the whole point of the Chair of Peter, Papal Infallibility and dogmatic definitions.

He is asserting that dogmatic definitions are pointless, worthless and foolish

and that the Church is pointless, worthless and foolish for making such a definition.

Also, those who insist that infallible DEFINITIONS must be interpreted by non-infallible statements

(e.g., from theologians, catechisms, etc.)

are denying the whole purpose of the Chair of Peter.

They are subordinating the dogmatic teaching of the Chair of Peter (truths from heaven)

to the re-evaluation of fallible human documents, thereby inverting their authority, perverting their integrity and denying their purpose.

Pope Gregory XVI, Mirari Vos:

"… nothing of the things appointed ought to be diminished; nothing changed; nothing added;

but they must be preserved both as regards expression and meaning."

Thus, there is no "strict" or "loose" interpretation of Outside the Church There is No Salvation,

as the liberal heretics like to emphasize; there is only what the Church has once declared.

What is the Center for Open Science? - Duration: 2:55.

Hi there.

I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.

Today I am going to talk about the Center for Open Science or COS.

This non-profit technology company's mission is "to increase openness, integrity, and

reproducibility of research."

They "envision a future scholarly community in which the process, content, and outcomes

of research are openly accessible by default...(with)…scholarly content preserved, connected, and versioned

to foster discovery, accumulation of evidence, and respect for uncertainty."

Their primary product is the Open Science Framework or OSF.

OSF is a free open source web tool that helps researches document their entire workflow

from start to finish in a collaborative space while making it easy for them to share some

or all of their project with others.

OSF has set of features that include the ability of researchers to: Organize their Projects,

manage complex projects easily, document their process, Register and share their work., and

Project analytics.

In 2016, COS also started offering preprint services or OSF Preprints, They have launched

five major new branded services--PsyArXiv, AgriXiv, SocArXiv, engrXiv and LawArXiv

OSF offers other services including OSF Meetings and OSF Institutions, and SHARE.

Founded in 2013, COS has been funded by many organizations, their primary funding has come

from the Laura and John Arnold Foundation, with other support from DARPA, NIH, the National

Science Foundation and others.

Currently COS boasts, 60,000+ active users, 86,000 OSF projects, 2 million + indexed preprints,

5 million downloads, and over 700,000 monthly page views.

Impressive metrics.

They also have an impressive list of top journals using their all or part of their offerings.

Center for Open Science is one of the many ways scholarly publishing has changed over

the past 5 years, and undoubtedly will continue to change, for the better.

Tybee Island Real Estate - Take a Tour of the Island - Duration: 3:48.

Are you interested in Tybee Island real estate? That's what we're talking about

today and we are starting right now. Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel. I'm

Karin Carr, a Realtor® in Savannah Georgia with Keller Williams. If this is your

first time here be sure to hit the subscribe button. I post new videos every

Monday about all things real estate in the Savannah area and you don't want to

miss anything. Today we're talking about Tybee Island. We've got a string of

islands off the coast of Savannah and Tybee is the easternmost island. There is so

much to do out there and it's a huge tourist attraction. Lots of people like

to go there on vacation but if you're a local and you live here, you can go there

anytime you want! There are lots of vacation rentals there and some

people like to buy property as an investment and then rent it out. You can

rent it as an Airbnb or a vacation rental by owner, or people keep them as

a second home so that anytime they want to come here on vacation they can stay

there. And the super lucky people live there year-round. So let's go on a tour

of the island and I'll show you what it looks like.

Tybee is not a pretentious place at all. We do have some tall buildings like

these that take advantage of the great water views but we also have a ton of

small ranch-style properties, very modest and reasonably affordable

considering that you're a block or two from the ocean.

There are currently 85 houses for sale on Tybee as of the time of this

recording. They start at only $235,000 going all the

way up to 2.6 million with an average sales price of about $800,000. There are

currently 30 condos for sale with an average price of $357,000 and that's a 3 bdrm/2 bath,

roughly 1,200 square feet. There are currently 15 properties for sale less

than $300,000 (both condos and houses). And if you want waterfront there are

currently 40 properties that start at only $195,000! So if you have dreams of living

by the beach you really can afford to do it here. This is very typical Tybee. These

cute, brightly colored properties are very unpretentious. Here's a little shot of

the main drag close to the beach. There are bars, there are restaurants, there are

lots of t-shirt shops, places where you can go in and buy a boogie board. But I

mean look at these sand dunes! There's the pavilion with a big long

pier going out. This is the back river and take a look at these views. Who

wouldn't want to wake up to this every day? You can have a property with a pier

and a place to dock your boat and just sit on the balcony and wake up to that

every morning. So that is our tour of Tybee Island. Have you been here before?

AND GOD DOESN'T ALWAYS DO THINGS THE WAY THAT WE THINK HE SHOULD

OR WISH THAT HE WOULD, AND HE CERTAINLY DOESN'T ALWAYS DO THEM

OR EVEN USUALLY DO THEM IN OUR TIMING.

AND THERE'S DISAPPOINTMENTS, AND THERE'S CHALLENGES, AND THERE'S

THRILLS, AND THERE'S LAUGHTER, AND THERE'S TEARS, AND THEY ALL

GO TOGETHER TO MAKE A WONDERFUL LIFE.

AND I STARTED TEACHING IN MY LIVING ROOM, AND FOR 5 YEARS,

I TAUGHT 25 PEOPLE EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT IN MY LIVING ROOM FLOOR.

AND IF YOU LOOK AT THE ISRAELITES, THE BIBLE SAYS

THAT THEY JOURNEYED THROUGH THE WILDERNESS, AND THEN

THEY CAMPED.

AND THEN THEY JOURNEYED, AND THEN THEY CAMPED.

AND, YOU KNOW, IT'S THE SAME WAY WITH ALL OF US.

IT WAS, LIKE, YOU'RE GOIN' SOMEWHERE.

YOU'VE GOT A VISION.

THINGS ARE HAPPENING.

AND THEN, ALL OF A SUDDEN, NOTHING'S HAPPENING.

YOU'RE JUST CAMPED SOMEWHERE.

AND THEN, JUST LIKE GOD WOULD, THE CLOUD WOULD MOVE, AND THEN

THEY'D GET TO MOVE AGAIN, AND THEY NEVER KNEW WHEN IT

WAS GONNA BE.

SOMETIMES THEY CAMPED FOR A LONG TIME, AND SOMETIMES THEY JUST

CAMPED FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.

AND WHEN THE CLOUD MOVED, THEY MOVED, AND WHEN THE CLOUD

STOPPED, THEN THEY HAD TO CAMP.

AND MAYBE SOME OF YOU ARE EXCITED TO NIGHT BECAUSE YOU'RE

JOURNEYING RIGHT NOW.

YOU KNOW, YOU'RE, LIKE, SOMETHIN'S HAPPENIN'.

YOU'VE HAD GOOD NEWS.

YOU'VE HAD A BREAKTHROUGH, AND, BOY, YOU JUST, YOU'RE ON

TOP OF THE WORLD RIGHT NOW.

BUT SOME OF YOU ARE CAMPED, AND YOU'VE BEEN CAMPED A LOT LONGER

THAN YOU'D LIKE TO BE CAMPED.

AND YOU'RE JUST AT THAT POINT, "WELL, I JUST NEED TO SEE

IF GOD NEEDS TO TWEAK IT AND MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENTS,

THEN LET HIM DO THAT.

IT MAY NOT TURN OUT EXACTLY THE WAY YOU THINK IT WILL,

BUT IT WILL TURN OUT GOOD.

AND I'LL TELL YA, THERE IS NO BETTER FEELING THAN TO BE AT A

PLACE WHERE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'VE ARRIVED AT THE PLACE THAT GOD

WANTED YOU TO BE AT.

AND I LOOK BACK NOW, AND I LOOK AT ALL THE THINGS WE WENT

THROUGH, AND THE PEOPLE WHO CAME AGAINST US, AND THE,

JUST ALL THE THINGS.

I REMEMBER THE FEAR AND THE EXCITEMENT, AND THE--I WAS SICK

AT DIFFERENT TIMES, AND DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT, AND JUST SO

MANY THINGS GO INTO MAKIN' A LIFE.

AND, YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES YOU CAN SIT AND YOU CAN LOOK AT SOMEBODY

THAT'S UP HERE, OR YOU CAN SEE SOMEBODY ON A STAGE SOMEWHERE,

OR YOU CAN HEAR SOMEBODY'S TESTIMONY, AND YOU DON'T ALWAYS

KNOW WHEN YOU SEE THEIR VICTORY WHAT THEY WENT THROUGH

TO GET THERE.

AND I JUST WANNA ENCOURAGE YOU THAT WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH

NOW WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE END, AND YOU DON'T WANT TO QUIT

AND GIVE UP, AMEN?

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT GETS US DISCOURAGED IS WE READ THE BIBLE

AND WE SEE WHAT WE SHOULD BE, AND THEN WE SEE WHAT WE STILL

ARE, AND THEN SOMETIMES WE THINK IT'S TAKIN' US A WHOLE LOT

LONGER THAN IT SHOULD BE TAKIN' US.

ANYBODY FEEL LIKE THAT?

I MEAN, WE GET DISCOURAGED WITH OURSELVES, DON'T WE?

WE JUST THINK, "WELL, I'M JUST STILL A MESS.

AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, I'M STILL A MESS."

CAN I GIVE YOU AN ENCOURAGEMENT?

EVERYBODY'S A MESS.

JOYCE: AND EVEN THE ONES THAT LOOK LIKE THEY GOT IT ALL

TOGETHER, BEHIND THE SCENES, THEY'RE STILL A MESS TOO, AMEN?

FATHER, I WANNA PRAY JUST REALLY ESPECIALLY FOR EVERYBODY

IN THE ROOM TONIGHT THAT'S BEEN DISCOURAGED, WHO'S JUST BEEN

CAMPED LONGER THAN THEY FEEL LIKE THEY CAN STAND.

AND, LORD, YOU, OH, YOU NEVER PUT MORE ON US THAN WHAT WE CAN

BEAR, BUT WITH EVERY TEMPTATION, YOU ALWAYS PROVIDE A WAY OUT.

AND I KNOW THAT MANY TIMES, WE THINK WE CAN'T STAND

TO WAIT ONE MORE DAY, BUT IF WE REALLY CAN'T STAND

TO WAIT ONE MORE DAY, THEN WE WON'T HAVE TO WAIT ONE MORE

DAY, BECAUSE YOU'RE FAITHFUL.

AND I PRAY FOR PEOPLE THAT YOU WOULD GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO

ENCOURAGE THEM, MAYBE A LITTLE THING, MAYBE A BIG THING.

BUT I PRAY THAT WITHIN THE NEXT 10 DAYS, THAT PEOPLE HERE THAT

ARE DISCOURAGED WILL SEE SOME LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT TO KEEP

THEM MOTIVATED TOWARD MOVING ON.

I ASK YOU TO PROVIDE FOR EVERYBODY WHO HAS A NEED,

BUT ESPECIALLY, LORD, I PRAY EPHESIANS 3:16 OVER THEM, THAT

THEY WOULD BE STRENGTHENED WITH ALL MIGHT AND POWER IN THE INNER

MAN THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT INDWELLING THEIR INNERMOST BEING

AND PERSONALITY.

IF WE'RE STRONG ENOUGH INSIDE, THEN NO MATTER WHAT COMES

AGAINST US OUTSIDE, WE WILL KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON.

AND WE THANK YOU FOR IT, IN JESUS' NAME, AMEN.

JOYCE: WELL, I REALLY WANT TO ENCOURAGE YOU NOT TO GIVE UP

AND WASTE THE YEARS THAT YOU'VE ALREADY PUT INTO YOUR JOURNEY

WITH GOD.

THIS ONE FROM WILLIAM IN HERSHEY, PENNSYLVANIA,

AND HE SAYS: "I'M A CHRISTIAN THAT FEELS STUCK BECAUSE

OF PAST MISTAKES.

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CONTINUE FORWARD, FALLING BACK IN LOVE

WITH GOD'S WORD, BUT I FEEL LIKE I'M JUST NOT GETTING ANYWHERE.

WHAT CAN I DO?" JOYCE: WELL, TO BE HONEST,

WILLIAM, AND EVERYBODY ELSE WHO HAS THAT QUESTION, I THINK WE

ALL FEEL THAT WAY AT TIMES.

YOU KNOW, WHEN I FIRST GOT INTO A MORE SERIOUS WALK WITH GOD, I

JUST REALLY HAD A LOTTA PROBLEMS IN MY SOUL FROM THE ABUSE

IN MY PAST AND MISTAKES THAT I HAD MADE.

THAT REALLY, ALTHOUGH I'D GONE TO CHURCH FOR A LOT OF YEARS,

I DIDN'T REALLY REALIZE HOW FAR OFF I WAS FROM LIVING THE LIFE

THAT JESUS REALLY DIED TO GIVE ME.

AND SO, THE MORE I STUDIED THE WORD, THE MORE I REALIZED

HOW MANY PROBLEMS I HAD.

AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY, AND I DON'T MEAN THIS TO DISCOURAGE

ANYBODY, THAT AFTER 5 YEARS OF BEING WHAT I THOUGHT WAS REALLY

IT SEEMS LIKE I'VE BEEN PRAYIN' ABOUT FOR A LONG, LONG TIME

AND NOT SEEING ANY BREAKTHROUGH.

AND SO YOU SOMETIMES CAN START THINKING, "WELL, IS ANYTHING

HAPPENING?" BUT I WAS REMINDED, AND I JUST

WANNA REMIND THIS YOUNG LADY THAT THE BIBLE SAYS,

"ASK AND KEEP ON ASKING, SEEK AND KEEP ON SEEKING,

KNOCK AND KEEP ON KNOCKING.

YOUR PRAYERS WILL BE ANSWERED.

YOU'LL FIND WHAT YOU'RE AFTER."

SEEKING GOD IS A LIFETIME THING.

I STILL HAVE TO DO IT EVERY SINGLE DAY OF MY LIFE.

WELL, I DON'T MEAN HAVE TO LIKE I DON'T WANT TO, BUT I STILL DO

IT EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE.

ME, AND MY DESPERATION PRAYERS, RATHER THAN REALLY TURNING

MY WHOLE LIFE OVER TO HIM AND INVITING HIM TO BE INVOLVED

IN EVERY ASPECT OF MY LIFE.

THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE ARE IN THEIR WALK?

CHURCHES EVERY NOW AND THEN, AND THAT'S JUST WHERE A LOT OF

PEOPLE ARE, ESPECIALLY AMERICANS.

ONLY INTERESTED IN THE SPIRITUAL PART OF OUR LIFE, BUT HE'S NOT.

HE WANTS TO BE INVOLVED IN EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES,

AND THAT'S WHAT GETS SCARY.

YOU KNOW, IT'S LIKE, "WELL, IF I INVITE GOD INTO THE

ENTERTAINMENT SECTION OF MY LIFE, WHAT AM I DOING NOW THAT

I'M MAYBE NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO DO ANYMORE?"

OR, YOU KNOW, "IF I INVITE GOD INTO THE FRIENDSHIP, SOCIAL

SECTION OF MY LIFE, HOW MANY FRIENDS DO I HAVE THAT MAYBE ARE

HURTING ME SPIRITUALLY?" AND SO THIS IS A BIG ISSUE

FOR PEOPLE.

BUT SEE, IF YOU GIVE GOD EVERYTHING, THEN HE'LL GIVE YOU

EVERYTHING.

BUT IF YOU'RE GONNA JUST KINDA LET GO OF WHAT YOU THINK YOU

WANNA LET GO OF, THEN YOU'RE NEVER REALLY GONNA BE FULLY

SATISFIED IN YOUR LIFE.

IN ORDER TO GO TO HEAVEN, YOU MUST BELIEVE WITH ALL YOUR HEART

AND I THOUGHT BECAUSE I WALKED AWAY FROM MY DAD'S HOME AT 18

THAT I DIDN'T HAVE THE PROBLEM ANYMORE, BUT I STILL HAD IT

AND ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS THAT I HAD TO DO WHEN I GOT SERIOUS

WITH GOD WAS LET HIM INTO THOSE AREAS OF MY LIFE TO BEGIN TO

BRING HEALING, AND IT WAS HARD.

JOYCE: I DIDN'T WANNA GO BACK AND LOOK AT THAT.

EATING SUKIYAKI : my favorite Japanese Nabemono (hot pot) - Duration: 6:02.

Today Seba is going to eat Sukiyaki

it's a type of Nabe, where you dip the meat and vegetables in a egg - sauce once is grilled

Hello guys, let's start this video like this! today we eat Sukiyaki!

we are waiting that the butter melts,

we eat a type of Nabe called Tsukiyaki,

we have two sauces, Tare and Dashi

and we put them in the Nabe,

the particularity of this Nabe is...

as you can see here, we have two eggs (tamago)

and once the meat is cooked, we will dip it in raw eggs

good, look at how much meat arrived,

now a friend of mine is preparing the eggs

the butter is slowly melting

the meat you can eat it here until you want for 120 minutes

here we have the rice and the egg,

and here we have some sort of vegetables and mushrooms,

now we take a bit of meat

this is bovine meat,

now we grill it

how good!

see, now we add some tare sauce

well, the tare sauce is made with Mirin, sakkè,

it's a bit of a sweet sauce and it's very good

you put it also on yakitori

some like it and some don't, I don't like the sauce on yakitori for example,

I prefer salt,

but on Sukiyaki I like it very much,

because there is the egg that puts aside the sweetness flavour of the tare

you need to know that the japanese people did start to eat bovine meat

in the meji period,

and it all started with this dish

we eat today the meat dipped in the egg

Yes, i was living a bad lucky week! I started to feel some pain travelling from Oulu to Seinäjoki (the city of the third gig).

The pain got worse and i was forced to went to the hospital! My friends were worried about me, but it was "only" a kidney stone.

Kidney in portuguese is RIM, so my brazilian friends sent me a lot of messages with that joke of RIM and HIM... haha.

I missed the gig, but i was happy 'cause it wasn't necessary to do a surgery! :)

Classic Movies That Have Become Hard To Watch With Age - Duration: 7:01.

Many films hold up over time, no matter how long it's been since they debuted.

Other movies… not so much.

While they may have made a splash upon their initial release, their luster was quick to

fade.

Here's a few movies that look more outdated than your grandfather pretending he understands

the hip-hop.

The Fast and the Furious

We've been down a long road with Dominic Toretto and the family.

After fifteen years with these beautiful rogues, it's easy to forget where it all began.

While recent installments of the franchise are as strong as any superhero blockbuster,

The Fast and the Furious, released at the dawn of the new millenium, just feels dated.

"One of the things that we knows is, it's not how you stand by your car, it's how you

race your car.

Better learn that."

Aside from incredibly low stakes, the tech is — to put it lightly — wack.

Remote control sound system?

A PlayStation 2?

Compared to the ridiculous, bombastic, and international nature of these movies, watching

these laid back, local beginnings is a bit of a disappointment.

Also?

The Rock's not even in it.

That's not just outdated — that's EMPTY.

"Why don't you girls just pack it up before I leave treadmarks on your face."

You've Got Mail

This 1998 romantic blockbuster begins with Meg Ryan's character logging onto America

Online.

Back before e-mail scams, unwanted newsletters, and spam, You've Got Mail remembers a time

when people were actually excited about getting an email.

"And my breath catches in my chest until I hear three little words, 'You've got mail!'"

The film's plot hinges on two strangers meeting in a chatroom and falling in love via email.

These days, people are far more likely to hire a private investigator - or at least

commit to some serious Facebook stalking - before ever agreeing on a face to face.

As charming as Tom Hanks is, Meg Ryan's adorable naivete feels a bit too risky.

"Meet?

Oh my God…"

Cellular

Despite only being made in 2004, Cellular is about as dated as landline phones, which

its entire plot is based around.

Landline phones were still fairly common in the early 2000s, but the majority of American

households don't even have them anymore.

While Cellular also played up cellular technology, it still rested on the idea that the movie's

kidnapped heroine would have a working, active landline.

And let's not forget the film's real star: the Nokia 6600

"This is the single greatest phone ever made."

This clunky cell phone had a tiny screen, a grainy camera, and no wifi.

This Finnish phone was certainly a hit back in the day, but today's smartphones put it

to shame.

Even if Cellular had the tightest, most gripping plot of all time, chances are we'd still be

too busy laughing at its stone-age tech to notice.

Mission: Impossible

Just because a movie is based on an old TV show, doesn't mean it has to suck.

The Mission Impossible series proves this to be true… with the exception of its original

1996 film.

Laden with more outdated tech than a flea market, the first Mission: Impossible film

is truly adorable.

These hip, savvy super-spies get their briefings via cassette tapes, store their top-secret

data on giant desktops and floppy discs.

So many floppy discs.

Mission Impossible is a cool, thrilling spy story with tension, explosions, and that classic

Hollywood sex appeal.

But like any film that emphasizes cutting edge technology, it's going to age.

Heck, even Rogue Nation's gonna look stupid in a few years.

Crocodile Dundee

Anybody alive in the '80s remembers Crocodile Dundee.

The fish-out-of-water romantic comedy--in which Paul Hogan's uncivilized brute comes

to New York--was the second-highest grossing film of 1986.

But looking back, Crocodile Dundee has not aged well.

"This is your first trip to New York?"

"First trip anywhere!"

"Well, we might just have to give you one for free!"

For one thing, the whole lovable jerk vibe that defines the character feels a lot more

jerk-heavy than we might remember.

Mick "Crocodile" Dundee is a shameless poacher who solves every problem he has with his fists.

But it's the blatant sexism that's distinctly 1986.

Croc dismisses every woman he comes across.

"This is man's country out here."

"That's right, i'm only a Sheila."

Coincidentally, this film arrived the same year as Aliens, in which Sigourney Weaver

makes the crocodile-wrestling Outback jerk look like the world's biggest wuss.

Weird Science

All the weird in the world couldn't get such a misogynistic fantasy film made today.

"Women everywhere!"

"All these girls, they're all there.

Naked bodies!"

Weird Science is a 1985 cult classic where two geeky guys who fail at attracting two

beautiful girls decide to use their computer skills to program and create their own flesh

and blood woman.

This smoking hot babe named Lisa just so happens to obey her creators' every command.

"Should we give her a brain?"

The geeks end up using Lisa to help them get dates.

But all the objectification in this film just doesn't feel kosher today.

Try this in today's film industry, and you won't get much farther than the dollar bin

at Walmart.

Right?

She's All That

In an attempt to revamp the classic Pygmalion tale for the MTV crowd, 1999's She's All That

tells the tale of a popular guy who bets his friends that he can turn the geekiest, frumpiest

girl in school into the Prom Queen.

"There are 2,000 girls in this school and I can bump monkeys with any of them!"

But our hero, Zack, played by Freddie Prinze Jr., didn't pick an ugly, frumpy girl.

He picked Rachael Leigh Cook.

She eventually trades in her glasses and overalls for contacts and a pretty dress and then,

wow!

She's all that!

Although she learns about the bet, she ends up being fine with being objectified for the

sake of someone else's pride, so they fall in love.

She also gets assaulted by one of Zack's friends.

She doesn't press charges, but she does blow an air horn in his ear.

That seems fair.

The Net

Released in 1995, Sandra Bullock's techno-thriller The Net arrived when the internet was a dangerous

and terrifying unknown.

Paranoia was at an all time high, and the film takes full advantage, with Bullock playing

a woman who gets caught up in a computer conspiracy.

"Sandra Bullock is caught… in the net!"

The film does get some things right, like the existence of modern-day food delivery

websites.

But the internet of The Net was not realistic.

Seeing Bullock freaking out over a viral takeover isn't believable to a modern audience that

knows hacking isn't just flashing lights and endless code.

The Net does make valid points about privacy in the digital era — it's just a shame that

it had to go full-on camp.

Want your film to age well?

Try not to focus so much on computers.

Joshua Tree National Park & Jax Bath - Duration: 11:22.

howdy everybody. good morning we're about 1 mile from the

Joshua Tree National Park south entrance and we're gonna camp here on BLM land

for the day and the evening actually we're going to try something different

can I leave the RV and everything here and we're gonna take Angela's dodge

Class B van into the park we could take the bike but actually today in February

in California 90 we are expecting to hit 90 degrees in February to put that into

perspective where I'm from Olympia Washington the average high is in July

and August in the summer our 76 and 77 respectively 90 today February here so

gonna do my normal thing with all the fans and the windows and the alarm and

the security and everything I've got the dash set on high cool on AC with my

remote start checking the thermometer again if you haven't seen how I do that

I'll put a card up topic you're watching on your laptop I can remote start and

have air conditioning on demand for Jack's if needed it is a little windy so

I doubt I'll need to do that but I will be keeping a close eye on him well

you've grabbed all my camera equipment and we're gonna go in to Joshua Tree and

see it for the first time ever I'm really excited it should be a good day

well I'm gonna try and get as much use out of this America the beautiful pass

as possible so and there are a lot of national parks here in California so

Joshua Tree here we come

we're gonna drive and find the Visitor Center first and get a map and find out

what there is to see out here today nice blue skies though

you guys know you can rent truck campers did not know that

our first stop here is a cottonwood spring and there might be a little trail

down here get a load of these massive palm trees I love it I love it love it

love me some palm trees like a jungle palm trees Wow

they don't want you going off the trail though kidding look at that there's some

thick trees says Lost Palms Oasis Trail carry water 3.4 miles hmm

don't know we'll make it quite that far

when you guys think this squiggly line was 4 hmm hello a low low any creatures

in there jumping cactus don't that's it I know all about this stuff

jumping cactus is no joke

this sign says escalator out of service please use stairs okay so happy I could

hug a tree Amy none I think that's against the law

all right well now we just got about 38 miles of driving through the park on a

road until we get to the next exhibit it's a massive park

they make you drive a lot pull off the next turn and I'm still looking for the

elusive Joshua Tree well we found a field of interesting looking trees here

not sure if you call these Joshua trees or not but this is called the chola

gardens I guess you're not really sure how you pronounce that but I've got

these little yellow blooms on them that look like blackberries but yellow and I

mean just goes and goes and goes its massive

look at the field let's play a game let's let's race through this field

patch see who makes it out now they call Pass

anything go pass on that that's crazy right

just remember guys like gremlins do not feed these things after midnight and

this is what happens apparently mm-hmm careful I'll tell you what despite the

amount of driving you have to do around the park to get to everything this park

really does have a lot a lot of neat things to see like ginormous rocks and

we're up here at now 5400 feet a little windy and it is not even close to 90

degrees up here so good time of year to come I guess eventually there will

actually be Joshua trees at Joshua Tree National Park right actually that wind

feels good now one thing I learned about Joshua Tree that I'll share with you is

the Joshua tree itself is very elusive and it's not found very much in this

park but figured I could not leave here without finding and sharing one with you

this is a real one here that's what they really look like I would say this one is

about 18 25 feet tall

different it's very different it's cool-looking though you know if you can

see the flower bud type things at the end there it's got rough bark and then

it's also got this pretty cool alright guys the Joshua tree hey buddy

doing all right huh didn't even hit 75 in here while I was gone

good boy and so unfortunately they didn't have any 3d magnets that I

collect from all my state parks the arches Mount Rushmore now I wasn't too

pleased what they had but I did get one to add to my collection there so hey

something's better nothing filling up now on these uh I was gonna say hot

summer days on these hot summer February days one thing I will do from time to

time is I won't even turn the hot water heater on in the RV there's really no

sense because the tank inside is is gonna be naturally like 6070 degrees

just at least normal room temperature in there and so and it feels cold so I'll

take a cold shower even though it's really not that cold and then I don't do

it too often but if it's warm or if it's maybe I do it once every three months or

so but I give Jax a bath too so I've got special cat shampoo he has been rolling

around and enjoying the sand and dirt so much plus it gives him all afternoon in

a warm climate to air dry so that he won't be cold tonight and so we're gonna

tackle given Jax a nice bath oh boy Oh ain't that good oh that's so good huh

scrub-a-dub-dub how much do you love me Jax yes get that belly oh let's get out

boy wait no we're not quite done dry that wet Kitty off oh man

get up Kelly oh hey there you go what do you think um you don't need to dry off

on my spot you know come here hey go try on your spot okay go and lick your

wounds okay you look so funny not talking to you dad not talking to you

for the rest of the day dad I know there's a million places to dry off dad

but I'm gonna do it on your seat instead so take that you look so funny buddy

you'll thank me later okay okay yep warm warm day out here today now he didn't

bite me or scratch me at all he just wiped some of his wet on me which is

fine feels good I'll go ahead and take my nice shower

I'll have a little fire out here hang out it's the perfect spot if you want to

camp well basically we're in Joshua Tree National Forest and we're in the the

green area of the BLM we're just on this side of where you pay right if you don't

have an America the Beautiful Pass it's $25 per car to get in and yeah I will

also put some GPS coordinates below for this parking spot here this whole area

where there's free camping which is totally awesome right

so um there's a few things that I missed there's a few things that well if you

only travel 30 miles a day you can't change it up much it's just one desert

after the other desert might change things up tomorrow or the next day we'll

see either way you guys will hear about it
