Waching daily Feb 2 2018

Hi Everyone and welcome back to another zombie video.

Today we break down the full story of the Darkest Shore.

First, we must remember how the last map ended canonically.

After completing the hardcore ending in the Final Reich, we learn that Dr. Struab burns

the entire facility to the ground.

In the Darkest Shore he explains that he wiped it from history.

Plays clip.

Before leaving, Dr. Straub finds Richter's body and takes his head as a prize.

In the previous map we found radios showing Dr. Straub mental state deteriorating as things

got worse.

He had an intense rivalry with Richter who was the SS officer helping his with his operations

in The Final Reich.

Inside the Darkest Shore we can see that Dr. Straub carries Richter's head on a spike

with him wherever he goes.

Carrying the spike around is a perfect visual representation of madness that we are dealing

with.

Starting as a brilliant, but strict doctor he has turned into an obsessive unkept psychopath.

Our crew of Marie, Drostan, Jefferson, and Olivia flee mittleburg.

During their escape they find Rideau alive despite the train crash.

He was the commander giving them their missions in the intro cutscene of the final riech.

He has been the direction for their journey to both maps, but as we will see that changes.

During the time between the Final Reich and the Darkest Shore a few events occur.

Dr. Straub flees to the island called Heligo Island.

In reality this island is rich with mysticism.

A peer of mine JohnyJ25 even explored the lore that the island was associated with the

gateway to Atlantis according to the research group called the Ahnenerbe.

They were tasked with finding archaeological and cultural proof of the Aryan race for the

Nazis.

In our game this group finds pieces of Barbarossa's legendary sword.

Each piece contains huge amounts of power causing the Germans to use their energy to

make scientific breakthroughs in technology.

The German's also take interest in the legend of Baraborossa who is said to bring Germany

back to its rightful place as an empire.

Inside our game this is the Germany's last-ditch effort to save the dream of the 3rd Reich

because they are starting to lose the war in our game.

Dr. Straub returns to this island because this is the original location of his creations.

He tells our crew inside the map that he had been storing the zombies in the depths of

the island for years.

Our characters have quotes saying there must be tens of thousands of zombies kept down

there.

While Straub regroups at the island an informant named Red Ridding hood relays information

to Ravencrown.

It is possible Ravencrown is Rideau from the opening cut scene because he was coordinating

all the operations.

He kept information from our crew in the Final Reich

leading me to believe that he was using the personae Ravencrown while spying on the base

at Heligo island.

Red riding hood tells Ravencrown that Straub pushes his timetable up for operation sea

lion.

Operation Sea Lion was a strategy created by the german's during WW2 to invade Brittan,

but had to abandon the project on September 17th, 1940 because of their heavy losses during

the war.

In our game though, there is still a chance to accomplish this operation using Straub's

army of the undead!

As Dr. Straub begins the invasion of Brittian he begins experiments in reviving the brain

matter inside the zombies.

This results in more intelligent monsters called the Meuchlers.

Dr. Straub gets distracted from Operation Sea Lion when his Meuchler's go missing.

It is even hinted at that the Meuchlers help one another escape.

In audio file 28 we get a better picture of the nature of the zombies and the island.

The Meuchler's were escaping because they where parsing "Mutter" or how we say mother

in English.

The mother they are referring too is Nerthus, the goddess of fertility.

We find Nerthus' statue during the easter egg after finding her three sons to unlock

an ancient door on the island.

A quick history lesson on Nertus, she is an ancient Germanic goddess often called "Earth

Mother".

She would be carted from place to place on her chariot, led by cows.

Her priests accompanied her, but never see or touch the goddess or her chariot.

Wherever she traveled there would be no war or conflict.

The famous roman historian Publius Cornelius Tacitus writes "Then follow days of rejoicing

and merrymaking in every place that she condescends to visit and sojourn in.

No one goes to war, no one takes up arms; every iron object is locked away.

Then, and then only, are peace and quiet known and welcomed, until the goddess, when she

has had enough of the society of men, is restored to her sacred precinct by the priest.

After that, the chariot, the vestments, and (believe it if you will) the goddess herself,

are cleansed in a secluded lake.

This service is performed by slaves who are immediately afterwards drowned in the lake.

Thus mystery begets terror and a pious reluctance to ask what that sight can be which is seen

only by men doomed to die."

Tacitus' description of Nerthus fits into our game in such an interesting way.

It not only fits the lore of the island, but it gives the mulcher's a sense of culture.

They worship a goddess know for her peace and fertility.

Despite her peaceful nature, she conducts a dark ritual every time she returns to her

chambers.

She is put underwater by slaves that give their lives up in exchange for the peace she

brings every time she visits the realms of mankind.

We may even see this ritual reflected in our main easter egg because we are sacrificing

three types of zombies to Nerthus.

Right before we receive the pommel from her statue we submerge the ritual slabs in blood.

It reflects the same process she undergoes when she returns to her chambers.

This introduction of another god hints to us that there is a bigger story going on than

just Dr. Straub.

Klaus referenced this in the last map.

He talked about darker forces and the power of Barbarossa.

I don't believe we will see Nerthus again, but it shows us in this world there are other

forces at work!

Now before Red riding hood is found he overhears a message from Berlin telling Straub to change

his plans.

He abandons Operation Sea Lion to travel to Berlin for a rescue mission.

I'll bring this up again in the outro.

Meanwhile, our team regroups with the SIS to figure out how to stop Dr. Straub.

They receive the information from Red Riding Hood and plan their assault on Heligo island.

Rideau sends our team back in the field despite their wishes.

That brings us to the intro cutscene of the map.

Our team become the only survivors of their mission after the undead kill off the support

soldiers that accompanied them.

Once on the beach our team fights off a hoard of zombies.

They begin to formulate a backup plan to undermine Dr. Straub's operations.

The team assembles the shredder through scavenged parts around the map.

They use the shredder to cut off the head of a hanging man.

Then inside the subpens area they place the man's head on one of Dr. Straubs devices

that reanimate heads.

We quickly learn that this man is none other than Red Riding Hood.

Dr. Straub comes over the loudspeakers explaining that he has already evacuated his essential

supplies off the island.

We know that he is planning to go to Berlin because of the distress single he received.

Once our heroes turn on the valves in the subpens they are able to open the door containing

Dr. Straub's storage of his army, at the cost of red riding hood's life.

Dr. Straub explains to our team that as they meddle he has just rallied his personal stukas

to wipe them off the island.

Our characters quickly respond by using the local flack guns to blow them out of the sky.

A quick side note, the airfield next to the island is perfect immersion to why these planes

are there.

I continue to follow a logical thought process throughout this story line.

It is extremely refreshing.

Back on track now, our characters shoot down the stukas.

They recover one of the plane radios to call back to RAF or Royal Air Force.

Our characters are so interesting because they actually call in a strike to destroy

the island in exchange for their lives.

It seems clear they have no intention of actually dying on their island but accept the chance

they might just to save the day.

Dr. Straub laughs at our heroes because he has three ships off the cost designs to blow

enemy planes out of the sky.

By the time the RFA gets to the island they will be destroyed by its defenses.

Quickly our characters return to the zombie holding chamber in the subpens.

They summon a bomb zombie who brings the ammo for giant flak gun at the top of the base.

Our team dispatches of the three battleships securing clear skys for the bombing run.

Then our characters look for an escape from the island before the bombs drop.

In their investigations they find a hidden door in a lost cave.

Inside the cave they find a preserved head of a monk who worshiped Nerthus.

Taking the monk head back to the zombie storage area they use Dr. Straub's machines to bring

him back to life.

He then explains to our characters through proverbs or riddles how to unlock the door

to find the goddess statue.

The tale of the three brothers is given in which we find out that three totems are lost

in the map.

Using their heads and the zombies our characters locate the three totems unlocking the door.

We find three mulchers praising the goddess, again showing the loss of control straub has

on his more intelligent creatures.

It also shows the influence this goddess has over some of the undead.

Once our characters kill the mulchers they notice three boards with skeletons on them.

They manage to figure out that they are rituals.

Next our team completes three rituals to getting the heads of a mulcher, pest, and wushtling.

The most interesting of the rituals is the scared mulcher that we chase throughout the

fog.

It seems to have been glitched our first time, but once we started the final part of the

mulcher ritual it just accepted dying.

It was such a dark touch that it gave a lot of depth to a zombie character.

The way they could spin the step's story is this mulcher is an outcast hiding around

the map.

We hear it scream as other merchlers try to kill it.

Only for it to accept death in the final ritual as a way out.

Super dark, but very interesting!

Once all three rituals are complete our heroes retrieve the monk head and place it on the

last hook in Nerthus' room.

Our characters then kill zombies until they submerge the three sacrifice slabs under blood.

Notice how this echoes Nerthus' legend where she submerges herself in water to return to

her dwellings.

Our reward for completing the final ritual is Nerthus' statue revealing the pommel

of Barbarossa!

I want you to also note that Oliva points out that there is only one part left.

This means in DLC 2 we will retrieve the blade.

Leaving us TWO more maps to progress the story.

Right now, it makes sense to me that Dr. Straub has our team assemble the sword so he can

steal it.

How might he take it from our crew?

Well Cameryon Dayton the creator of the mode has hinted that Klaus isn't actual dead

yet.

Meaning the Dr. Straub could use Klaus to make Marie give him the sword.

We could defeat Dr. Straub in DLC 3 only to have to face the real evil that corrupted

him beyond recognition in DLC 4, most likely Barbarossa.

Once we have the pommel our characters repair the radio to try to figure a way off the island.

When they do this, they find that the mulchers have adapted to their fighting style.

The mulchers use specialist abilities to fight us!

Our characters defend themselves against 4 waves of super mulchers in three areas.

They eliminate the special zombie breed by the end of the easter egg only to see the

RFA planes coming in the sky.

Quickly they try to rush off the island in their pursuit of Dr. Straub.

We see their hero jump onto one of Straub's blimps as they escape being blown up.

They gather themselves and plan their next move to stop Dr. Straub.

For the first time in our game they are deciding to stop him because they choose too.

Not because Rideau is telling them too.

Oliva points out that the blimps aren't headed to Brittan before the outro ends.

This feeds into the radios in map that tell us that they are going to Berlin.

That is the story of the Darkest Shore.

It was an absolute joy putting this video together.

I want to congratulate Sledgehammer on making something so interesting in just one DLC.

That doesn't mean I don't love Treyarch, I just really enjoy what Sledgehammer is trying

to do for THEIR game.

I can enjoy them both, contrary to the reddit's opinions.

If you enjoyed this video, please leave a rating and subscribe for more.

I do these breakdowns for every zombie map and play a lot of games in-between.

I hope you have a wonderful day and I will see you in the next video!

Bye!

How Australia Got Fallout 3 Censored Worldwide - Duration: 10:27.

Fallout 3 doesn't just deliver a very gritty and dark portrayal of human society, but also

a dark and gritty post-apocalyptic society, meaning the depravity and decadence is naturally

cranked way up.

The survivors of The Great War, which ended in nuclear destruction of most of the world,

are forced to live in terrible conditions and have little to hold onto, when it comes

to hope, for things improving.

This environment is virtually a petri dish for sin and corruption.

Crime is rampant and dangers lurk around every corner.

Like modern society, drugs and other vices are a way for survivors to deal with these

pressures.

Whilst frowned against by the general populace, drug-use is very common, especially amongst

the less rule abiding citizens.

The world of Fallout 3 features many different types of drugs or, as they are known in-game,

"chems" - short for chemicals.

The one we'll be focusing on this video is Med-X and how the inclusion of the drug originally

caused the game to be banned in Australia and then censored worldwide.

Med-X is a potent pain killer administered via a syringe and, when consumed by the player,

it reduces damage by 25%.

The drug is based on the real life drug morphine, which is an opiate based pain killer and is

highly addictive and illegal unless given by health care professionals.

Med-X isn't just based on morphine though, but was originally called morphine and it

is this that prompted the Australian ban.

The Fallout games have always featured various chems that provided the player with a wide

range of effects, however, this was the first time for one to be named after a illegal real

life drug.

Furthermore, Australia has a long history of video game censorship and, whilst things

have got a lot less strict in recent years, a big source of problems in Australia has

always been drug use related to "incentives and rewards" and this specific type of content

is something that continues to be an issue today.

The website Refused Classification, a specialised resource focusing on Australian censorship,

has a detailed write up of the different twists and turns that the Fallout 3 decision took.

As usual, this video will be focusing on the facts to help you learn exactly what happened

and what the issue was.

The story begins in July 2008, 3 months before the game was scheduled to be released.

It was then that the Australian Classification Board refused the title, cited that it "promoted

or encouraged proscribed drug use".

A title being refused classification in Australia means that it is illegal to sell within the

country.

It's not illegal to own them for personal use in most of the country, but it is in Western

Australia and a few other regions, where things are stricter.

Fallout 3 was one of the biggest and most anticipated games of the year and so this

decision was naturally met with huge controversy.

Refused Classification has a copy of the Classification Board's Fallout 3 report, which details the

game's content and why it was refused classification.

The report explains: "In the Board's majority view this game warrants

an 'RC' classification in accordance with item 1 (a) of the computer games table of

the National Classification Code:" This referring to this paragraph in the Classification

Code which states: "Computer games that: depict.

express or otherwise deal with matters of sex, drug misuse or addiction, crime, cruelty,

violence or revolting or abhorrent phenomena in such a way that they offend against the

standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults to

the extent that they should not be classified;" will be Refused Classification.

The Guidelines for the Classification of Films and Computer Games also state that, as a general

rule: "Material that contains drug use and sexual

violence related to incentives and rewards is Refused Classification."

This part of the Classification Code forces any game that depicts this content to be refused

classification.

The report then explains that it was determined that Fallout 3's content met the prior description

and thus must be refused classification.

To quote: "The game contains the option to take a variety

of drugs known as "chems" using a device which is connected to the character's arm.

Upon selection of the device a menu select screen is displayed.

Upon this screen is a list of"chems" that the player's character can take.

These "chems" have positive effects and some negative effects (lowering of intelligence,

or the character may become addicted to the "chem").

The positive effects include increase in strength, stamina.

resistance to damage.

agility and hit points.

Corresponding with the list of various "chems" are small visual representation of the drugs,

these include syringes, tablets, pill bottles.

a crack-type pipe and blister packs.

In the Board's view these realistic visual representations of drugs and their delivery

method bring the "science-fiction" drugs in line with "real-world" drugs.

The Guidelines also state that "Material promoting or encouraging proscribed drug use" is Refused

Classification.

The player can also select and use "Morphine" (a proscribed drug) which has the positive

effect of enabling the character to ignore limb pain when the charater's extremities

are targeted by the enemy.

The Authorised Assessor's report also states that "chems are an essential part of Fallout

3, and the player will likely use a variety of them throughout the game".

In the Board's view the drug use in particular the use of a proscribed drug.

via means of selection from a menu, is related to incentives and rewards as the incentive

to take the drug is to progress through the game more easily and the reward is an increase

in the character's abilities and as such is Refused Classification."

A month later, in August 2008, the game was then resubmitted to the classification board

and it earned, what was for the time the highest rating possible, a 15+ restricted rating with

the consumer advice: "strong violence, drug references and coarse language".

This release of the game had been modified to rename the drug to "Med-X" and this was

enough to satisfy the Australian rating system.

The new classification report explained: " The drug references within the revised version

are justified by context and lend a strong playing impact to the game.

The drugs depicted are fictional; drugs are depicted as stylised icons on a menu with

the drug use itself not depicted.

Whilst navigating a post-apocalyptic futuristic landscape, players can invoke the use of a

variety of "chems" listed by fictitious names which include "Buff", "Rad-X", "Psycho" and

"Ultrajet".

Within the context of the game's narrative, the player may choose to make use of these

"chems" to alter the physiological characteristics of their character in the game.

The Board noted that the "Guidelines for the Classification of Films and Computer Games

2005" states that "as a general rule ... material that contains drug use ... related to incentives

or rewards is Refused Classification" and found that relationship [sic] between drug

use and the incentives and rewards is not such that it promotes or encourages the use

of proscribed drugs.

Therefore the game does not warrant to be Refused Classification and can be accommodated

at MA15+ with a consumer advisory of "strong drug references"."

However, as is now common knowledge, things didn't end there.

Right before the game's release, Bethesda decided to make the same change as the Australia

version worldwide.

Product Manager, Pete Hines explained: "We want to make sure folks understand that

the Australian version of Fallout 3 is identical to both the UK and North American versions

in every way, on every platform."

"An issue was raised concerning references to real world, proscribed drugs in the game,

and we subsequently removed those references and replaced them with fictional names."

"To avoid confusion among people in different territories, we decided to make those substitutions

in all versions of the game, in all territories."

And thus, with this not just Fallout 3 but all Fallout games that have followed, this

so far being Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4, have all renamed morphine to Med-X.

However, the debate doesn't end there, as only a few months following Fallout 3 being

refused a rating for morphine use, another game featuring morphine was allowed a release

with no issues.

The game was Velvet Assassin, a WW2 stealth title inspired by a real life secret agent.

Here the player could pick up morphine, which is explicitly called morphine, and then use

it to give them a bullet time-like special effect, which slows down time to either allow

the protagonist to kill enemies or run away.

The fact a real life drug was being used as a power up and yet passed in Australia was

seen a contradictory.

However, speaking about the matter, the Classification Board explained that they felt that there

were differences in Velvet Assassin's case which meant it didn't warrant a "drug use

related to incentives or rewards" ban.

To quote: "The board notes that the game (Velvet Assassin)

contains drug references that can be accommodated within a lower classification.

However, the presence of the drug references warrants the additional consumer advice of

drug references for the following reasons: 1) The drug references consist of references

to morphine and the presence of syringes that can be collected by the players within each

mission.

The syringes allow the player to have morphine implicitly administered to them a limited

number of times.

The morphine links back to the reality of Violette being administered the drug in hospital.

Although the use of morphine enables the player to better complete difficult parts of the

mission, this does not lead to killings being more violent, to the demise of more enemies

or a better outcome for the player or the character of Violette.

2) While the general rule in the Classification Guidelines state that "material that contains

drug use related to incentives or rewards is Refused Classification", the Board is

of the opinion that the incentives in the game are very nuanced and mitigated by the

historical and medical context of the references to the drug.

The drug references are no higher than moderate in playing impact.

They can therefore be accommodated within a lower classification, but warrant the additional

consumer advice of drug references."

What they say here, though, is contradictory to what is actually found in the game.

As the drug use *does* allow her to kill more enemies and to get a better outcome.

The drugs give her a huge power up that slows time to a crawl and will allow her to kill

all of the enemies.

However, what they also say is that due to 1) its historical setting and 2) the real

life medical use of the drug, whereby morphine will be administered to patients, these factors

allowed them to see it as less of an issue.

These points are very true as within the game you play a solider who's currently in a coma

in a hospital.

The events depicted in the game are flashbacks to the past, whilst she's in a coma, and,

when the morphine is used, she will be shown in her hospital gown - linking back to the

fact that she's in hospital in a coma.

Furthermore, whilst Velvet Assassin's was allowed a release, numerous games following

Fallout 3 have also been banned due to "drug use related to incentives and rewards".

One of the biggest of these was 2013's Saints Row IV, which had a whole mission removed

in the Australian version which saw you get high and then gain super powers.

The latest game banned for this reason was 2016's The Bug Butcher, an action shooter

for PC and consoles.

Here the Classification Board objected to a power up called "Speed Injection", which

had the character injecting themself with a syringe - and so the power-up was renamed

"Boot Juice" and the animation was altered worldwide.

Node JS for Beginners : Learn Node.js Step-by-Step [Part 1] - Introduction to Node.JS (2018) - Duration: 9:06.

Hey What's going on guys welcome back to the channel

The IT Guy and today will be learning about the fundamentals of node JS now this is going

to be a series of videos where will be learning the concepts of node JS and learn how to code

in node JS so if you are new to my channel consider subscribing at the end of this video

if you are interested in the upcoming videos as well also this video is for complete beginners

who have no idea or a little bit idea of node JS and also for those developers who have

little experience in node JS and want to brush up the skills in it so as far as the prerequisites

are concerned I will say that you must have a basic knowledge of JavaScript I'm not asking

that you have to be a pro in it but you must have a basic knowledge about it like how to

declare variables and all that stuff DOM manipulation and all that now actually I am also thinking

to start a simple crash course of JavaScript where I'll quickly teach you how to work on

Javascript and how to do DOM manipulations and all that stuff so if you're interested

in that tell me about it in the comment section and we will see that video comes up soon Now

let's start with node JS so now what is node JS node JS is basically JavaScript running

on the server side now for years JavaScript was thought as a client side language that

only runs in the browser which actually made it fast but also extremely limited and it

was used for improving UI's, making sliders, animations, validation on client side and all

that stuff but now it can be done on the server side by node JS and it is built on Chrome

V8 JavaScript engine which is extremely powerful and in my opinion Chrome is the best browser

now your thoughts might be completely different and there's nothing wrong in that but in my

opinion Chrome is the best browser that I have used and its build on that no no just

can be used to build fast and scalable web application and node JS uses an event driven

non blocking IO model which makes it lightweight an efficient now it's completely fine if you

don't understand the last line because we will be seeing about it further in this series

of videos so let's get over it so now let's talk about the non blocking IO model of node

JS which is one of the most important advantage or I would say 'The' most important advantage

of node JS well lets first talk about some other server side Technologies like PHP or

Ruby On Rails many others so let's take example of PHP here so when you build a PHP application

on any server like Apache Server the each connection or the request that you make to

the server spawns a new thread which takes off the system memory and it will eventually

Max out whatever the maximum memory load handles so basically it needs to wait for one process

to finish before it starts the next one and this works in a 'synchronous' manner but for

node JS it works on a single thread and it works on 'asynchronous' manner so it can support

tens of thousands of concurrent connections at once so because of this it optimises the

throughput and scalability now that's the reason why node JS apps are extremely fast

and efficient now if you still have some other doubts in your mind then its ok it happens

if a starting a new language once you start working on this languages you will get to

it how this things work so moving head node JS uses something called as the event loop

so node JS runs on single thread which we have discussed before so it supports concurrencey

via events and callbacks so it uses an event Emitter class which is used to bind events

and event listeners so now if you look at the diagram you will get a bit more idea about

the event loop so every new task is handled by the event loop it binds the event and event

listeners to it so once the process of execution is completed then it returns a complete call

back and because of which the next process goes into execution so this whole complete

process is done by the event loop and if it still sounds gibberish to you then just keep

this in mind that other Technologies like PHP uses synchronous call while nodeJS works

on asynchronous which makes it more faster than them and it uses events and callbacks

to handle the execution so now let's take a look at the things that we can build using

node JS so you can create real time services like chat box games using socket.io which

we'll be seeing it it's a really popular module used in node JS and you can create CMS social

application Blogs with node JS you can also create rest API and other back end applications

basically can build anything that is not CPU intensive and if you are really thinking of

starting some new language then I really suggest that node JS is the language you should be

looking forward to so moving ahead what is npm so in the next video will see the installation

process so when we install node npm is also installed so npm is basically node JS package

manager it is used to install other modules and packages in node application and all the

modules that you will install they will get stored in a node_modules folder so that's

basically a brief idea what and NPM is next let's see about the popular node JS module

so first is electron it's really popular and it is used to build cross-platform native

web applications using HTML CSS and JavaScript now in simple words if I say that you can

use Web Technology languages like HTML CSS and build desktop applications on any platform

it can be Windows Mac or Linux you just have to code it once and you can compile it all

the three platforms so it's really popular nowadays second we will talk about is Express

it is a backend Framework for web development we will be seeing how to use Express in further

videos next socket.io which is a server-side component for websockets as I mentioned earlier

it it can be used to make that chat box which is really a real time application so next

is connect it is an extensible HTTP server Framework which is a baseline for Express

next is mongo or mongoose this of wrappers to interact with mongo DB database now mongo

DB is a no SQL database and the reason why mongo DB is more popular because it is more

compatible with node but its not like you can use only mongo DB database node JS has

support for my SQL sq Lite postgresql so you can use other database is as well but mongo

DB is more preferred by developers because it is more compatible with node JS so next

is coffeescript so we have copy script compiler which is basically a superscript of JavaScript

too many scripts and next we have Pug which is new name for Jade if you heard about it

it's an Template engine used in node you can imagine it like HTML if you just google it

you will see the syntax of it is mostly similar to HTML So ya these are some of the popular

module in node JS and in further videos we might be seeing how to use this module in

code so I hope you will enjoy watching those tutorials as well so saying that this completes

our tutorial for the introduction to node JS I hope I haven't lost you in the middle

so in the next video we'll be seeing how to install node JS and do basic programming in

it so press the bell icon to get notification if you haven't subscribe to my channel and

I'll see you next time bye bye

What skills could you learn today to help you get ahead - Duration: 3:22.

- If you're a schoolkid watching this,

which is really cool, because, seeing people want to be

driven and determined at a young age is pretty cool.

I get lots of emails from 15 year olds, 16 year olds,

that are like, I wanna do this, I wanna do that,

and that's very humbling and empowering for me to see.

What skillsets could you be learning today,

in order to get yourself ahead throughout life?

Some of them could be sales skills,

because people get to talk to people,

could be emotional skills, how to deal with life, whatever,

could be monetary skills, you know, you go to school,

you get taught by a teacher that's on a set wage,

that complains that they can't afford a house,

or whatever the case may be.

You know, they're teaching you stuff,

but do they really believe what they're teaching you?

I don't believe any finance

or any economy sort of based education

is coming out of the school.

They might teach you what five dollars

and 10 dollars equals, 15 bucks,

but they're not teaching you how the economy works,

they're not teaching you how you can get ahead,

because they're not doing it themselves.

Being healthy, being passionate about your interests,

you know, like there are certain interests out there

that are beyond me,

whether you wanna be the best sports player in the world,

whether you wanna be the best musician in the world,

or whether you wanna be whatever,

just make sure that you're being yourself,

by doing everything you can to get there.

Business skills, you know,

there's lots of people out there nowadays with businesses.

And there's probably never been such an easier

or better time to be able to get into a business,

for the simple fact that you've got internet, social media,

people are connected, you don't need a storefront,

you don't need to wait two weeks for an ad to go out

in the newspaper, or whatever the case may be.

There's a lot of opportunities out there,

and I think it's, you know,

it's important to follow your passion, follow your dream,

and be able to educate yourself as much as you want.

Sure, it's good to go out there, party, pick up chicks,

drink, and go on the tiki tours,

but is that gonna help you get to where you wanna be,

or is that, you know,

a lot of people fill their life,

you've got eight hours out of 24 hours in a day,

you've got eight hours that you sleep,

eight hours you go to work or school

or whatever the case may be,

and eight hours where you're brushing your teeth,

playing some video games, doing some Snapchats,

you know, swiping on Tinder,

but if you actually hone in on those hours

while you're watching Game of Thrones

or Netflix and chillin', and be able to, you know,

spend that time educating yourself.

I, in my sleeping patterns, I actually put Youtube videos on

in all different facets of life,

whether it be from quantum physics,

whether it be understanding all the books

that are out there in the world,

whether it be understanding electricity,

whether it be understanding, you know,

certain different topics, space, whatever, history,

I play Youtube videos while I'm asleep

and go into a half-sleep, so I still listen

and comprehend what I'm listening to, but I'm still asleep.

How can you pack that education in your day

to get ahead in life?

And most people just go, oh fuck it,

I wanna go down and have a drink and, you know,

chat up some chicks or play footy

or whatever the case may be.

I mean, that's fine, but, you know,

if you're focusing all your energy on that,

then don't expect to get ahead.

So that's my view on that.
