[ INTRO ]

Ahhh.

It's so nice to have a nice, cool glass of water after that epic soccer game we just had

Hey, Squeaks, do you know where this water came from?

[Squeaks squeaks]

That's true, it did come from a sink!

We're pretty lucky here at the Fort; all we have to do is turn on the faucet and water

comes right out.

But … what about before that?

How did it get to the faucet?

[Squeaks isn't sure]

You might know that things like sinks and bathtubs are connected to pipes that carry

water all through your house or school.

But before it even gets to those pipes, water has to come from a source — a place where

there's lots of water gathered in one place.

Can you think of somewhere you might find lots of water?

[Squeaks guesses]

That's true, there's a lot of water in the ocean!

But it's too salty for people to drink.

Instead, some cities and towns get their water from sources like lakes and rivers.

They clean the water to get rid of any germs or chemicals that could be unhealthy, then

send it through pipes to everyone who lives there.

In other places, including here at the Fort, people get their water from a well in the

ground.

A well is a hole that reaches down, deep into the Earth.

Once it reaches deep enough, the well hits water.

[Squeaks asks a question]

Good question, Squeaks.

The water gets into the ground when it rains.

The rain sinks down through the soil, going between the pieces of dirt, until it hits

solid rock that it can't go through.

That's when the water stops, and sits in the spaces between the dirt.

We call this water groundwater.

And even though it might sound a little bit like an underground lake, that's not really

what it is — it's not like there's a big empty space filled with just water.

The groundwater is inside the dirt … kind of like a giant area made of mud.

But even though it's surrounded by dirt, groundwater is pretty clean!

Anything that isn't supposed to be in the water will stick to the dirt, leaving the

water nice and clean.

It's this clean water that wells try to reach.

To build a well, you dig a long tube into the ground until it reaches the level where

the water has settled underground.

That's called the water table.

The well goes below the water table, to where the soil is filled with groundwater.

Then, something amazing happens.

The well starts to fill with water.

Just water — no dirt!

[Squeaks squeaks in amazement]

It is incredible, Squeaks, and the most amazing part is that the water is moving all on its

own.

Groundwater is trapped between hard rock and very heavy soil, which means it's being

squeezed pretty hard, kind of like when you squeeze a wet sponge with your hands.

And when you dig a well, suddenly there's an empty space where the water can go!

It's like the heavy dirt is squeezing the water into the well.

Once the water is in the well, we can use pipes to pull it out.

Some towns and cities have a whole bunch of wells that they use to pull lots of water

out of the ground at once.

Then they send the w ater to people who need it through pipes, instead of everybody having

their own well.

But people who don't live close to big towns usually have their own personal wells for

their houses, since it's easier than building pipes to bring water from very far away.

That's what we have at the Fort!

[Squeaks squeaks]

Would you like to share my glass of water, Squeaks?

[Squeaks squeaks]

I've never met a robot who loved water as much as you.

Real Housewives Who Completely Changed Their Looks - Duration: 5:54.

The life of a Real Housewife is tougher than you think.

HD cameras all up in your business 24-hours a day might make a girl really take a hard

look at herself… and then snag an appointment with the best plastic surgeon she can get.

These are the women who get so many nips, tucks, and lifts, they're barely hanging on

to their original resting b-face.

Maybe she's born with it...maybe it's Restylane.

Alexis Bellino

In 2011, Alexis Bellino staunchly denied ever going under the knife … for her face, anyway.

"I don't need to prove anything.

I know who I am and God does too."

The Orange County cast member did, however, cop to getting breast implants as well as

Botox and lip injections in an interview with Star.

She said,

"It is fascinating to me that everybody says they're so sure that I've had a nose job or

cheek implants or whatever.

People just like to talk, but I'm OK with it."

She was so "OK with it," she actually got that nose job a year later, claiming she had

sinus issues.

"I've been suffering from chronic sinus infections and sinus problems for many years."

"So I decided I needed to have something done."

During her follow-up visit, however, Bellino's surgeon reviewed the "cosmetic" portion of

the procedure, which included "sewing the tip together", "filing down the dorsum" and

narrowing it.

Bellino lamented,

"I don't want it to look like I had it done!"

Little bit late for that.

Adrienne Maloof

You don't have to go back that far in time to see the drastic changes Adrienne Maloof

has made to her appearance.

"Know your friends, show your enemies the door."

In these pics from 2010 and 2017, we're clocking new eyes, cheeks, nose, brows, and a tightness

usually only seen on bank robbers sporting a pantyhose disguise.

None of this should be shocking, considering not only was Maloof married to renowned plastic

surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif, but she's also been unashamed about what she's had done over the

years, telling WetPaint,

"When you live in Beverly Hills you expect it.

When you married the plastic surgeon, you expect it.

So, no big deal."

Shannon Beador

"The body that you're born with is your body, and love it."

"Oh bull---.

Let's be honest."

O.C.

Housewife Shannon Beador has only ever admitted to getting her nose and chin done.

"I had the nose/chin combo sophomore year in college."

But she's not shy about implementing the Platelet Rich Plasma procedure which she described

to Bravo, as,

"They centrifuge your blood, and they take the yellow plasma of your blood — which

they call liquid gold — and they inject it in certain parts of your face."

But for as open as this reality star is about her vampiric beauty regimen, she's pretty

stingy with the throwback photos.

Call us crazy, but there seems to be more than just puberty, and a "nose/chin combo"

going on here.

"The truth is organic but lies are just artificial."

Lisa Hochstein

Ever since Lisa Hochstein uttered the words:

"My husband's a top plastic surgeon in this town .and I'm his best creation."

...Viewers have regarded every perceivable change to her face and body with a healthy

dose of side eye.

But Hochstein told TooFab in 2012, that the whole thing was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek

reference to the bad boob job that her husband, Miami plastic surgery legend Dr. Leonard "The

Boob God" Hochstein, corrected for her.

Asked whether she had any other work done in addition to the reversal of her "uniboob,"

Hochstein confessed to rhinoplasty a while ago, and claimed,

"I haven't had that much plastic surgery…

I bet you that half of the women on all these shows have had at least two things done.

They just don't admit it and I'm being honest and upfront talking about it."

Of course, that interview was more than five years ago, so there's no telling what she's

done to arrive at her current look.

Vicki Gunvalson

Of all of the housewives on this list, Vicki Gunvalson might be the most open about the

work she's had done.

"I go big or go home and I am not going home."

She confessed to People in July 2017 about having her upper and lower eyes, her nose,

and her chin "done" in the past four or five years, as well as a breast augmentation.

Overall the Orange County wifey has a generally healthy attitude towards cosmetic enhancements,

or at least, a pretty cool metaphor for them.

She told the mag,

"It's just like painting a house.

Sometimes things fall apart and you need to fix them."

Gretchen Rossi

For as open about plastic surgery as Gunvalson is, Gretchen Rossi is just as cagey.

"When the going gets tough… the tough get stronger and stronger."

Though she admittedly looks most like her younger self than everyone else listed here,

there definitely seem to be some changes over the years.

And it's been notoriously hard to get Rossi to cop to any of it.

In 2011, she penned a lengthy blog post, pointing out that her Botox injections are not considered

plastic surgery because they don't involve "cutting of the skin."

She also left the door open for future speculation, writing,

"Let me be clear that I am not against plastic surgery at all, and I am sure one day I will

probably have something nipped, tucked, or worked on as my body and face starts to droop!"

But Rossi has always had another dog in the fight:

"This is... the Gretchen Project."

Rossi's now-defunct initiative, founded in 2009, was dedicated to non-surgical beauty

alternatives.

So yeah, don't expect any Earth-shattering plastic surgery revelations from this Orange

County housewife anytime soon.

NeNe Leakes

Straight-talking Atlanta OG, NeNe Leakes, admitted to People in 2010 that she'd gotten:

"...a nose job, smaller breast implants and a lift, as well as liposuction around her

waist for contouring."

"Ten years in the game and I'm still the tastiest peach in Atlanta."

Fast-forward seven years to Watch What Happens Live, where Leakes confessed to a second nose

job, but this time for "a medical reason."

She said,

"...the first time, I only had my nostrils taken in on the side the very first time,

and then this time, I had more cartilage moved around in my nose."

When pressed about viewer speculation regarding her reasoning, Leakes eventually admitted,

"I got my nose done, first of all, because I can and I will and I will get it done again

if I want to, OK?"

Yikes!

Okay, sorry we brought it up.

The Soul Exchanges Who And What Are The Walk Ins - Duration: 4:51.

The Soul Exchanges Who And What Are The Walk-Ins

By consciousreminder

The Walk-Ins / Soul Exchanges The concept of a Walk-In is somewhat similar

to Starseeds.

A Walk-in is a person whose original soul has departed his or her body and been replaced

with a new soul.

This soul exchange takes place volunteerely for many reasons, usually when the original

soul is experiencing physical, mental or emotional difficulty with its current life inarnation

and wishes to depart without physical death.

In order to do so, another soul must volunteer to come in and exhange places with the host

soul.

The walk in theory should not be confused with possession

The contract of exhange between the host soul wishing to depart and the soul willing to

walk-in takes places on a spiritual/cosmic level.

The actual exchange commonly takes place during a traumatic event or accident in the original

souls life, or during an unconscious state of mind.

Once the walk-in occurs the new soul becomes the consciouss blueprint of the original,

retaining all memories and life experiences as if nothing had ever happened.

Like starseeds, the walk-in soul usually originates from a 4D or higher dimensional level, although

the 4D is the most common since its vibration is closer to the 3D vibration and the adjustment

can take place more easily.

Its possible that some walk-ins may have already had incarnations on the 3D earth plane.

Instead of leaving the earth plane vibration upon physical death, a soul may choose to

reamin on earth through the walk-in process.

Most walk-ins occur during adulthood, but when an earlier exchange does takes place

it is usually because the walk in soul needs the experience of childhood for various reasons.

Once the walk-in soul has become incarnate in the host vehicle (body), the original soul

inhabiting the body departs and is brought to a place where its life may be reviewed,

discussion over the souls decision to leave the earth plane, and guidance may be given

regarding the next incarnation.

In the original host body the new walk in soul usually retains no memory that such an

event has just taken place, but it is possible for them to recover fragmented memories of

their previous existance, or current purpose for incarnating.

The new soul/individual is still the same person they were before.

There sometimes may be a sudden change of interests or in personality after the walk-in

occurs due to the new vibration of the host body.

This can explain why after an accident or traumatic situation an individual can sometimes

exhibit a new behaviour or characteristics.

There may even be a sudden change of interests and goals and maybe even a new outlook on

life or change in direction or purpose.

Walking the Soul Path Similar again to the starseeds, the walk-ins

that have originated from somewhere other than earth may have volunteered or been asked

to incarnate in order to assist in some way.

Perhaps it was the original souls destiny or life plan in order to achieve a specific

goal or complete a mission, but due to its inability, difficulty or decision to leave,

the new soul may be taking on this new role for itself.

The new soul may have a similar life path/goal/mission that it would like to complete and the originals

souls physical life circumstances may make completing this goal or task much easier.

The best advice for a walk in is to try and remember who they are and why they have chosen

to come in.

They most likely have a mission or something they must achieve or experience while in the

body.

As the year 2012 approaches us and the new age emerges, the walk in may likely wake

up to this reality.

Getting in touch with their inner-self and exploring various forms of meditation, deeper

awareness, trance, self hypnosis or dream work may help both walk in and starseeds to

re-member who they are, why they are here, and what it is that they are meant to do or

be while they are here.

WHY SCIENTIFIC PEER REVIEW IS A SHAM - Duration: 23:43.

WHY SCIENTIFIC PEER REVIEW IS A SHAM

BY Brendan D. Murphy,

Today Science is up on a pedestal. A new god has appeared; his high priests conduct the

rituals, with nuclear reactors, moon-probing rocket ships, cathode tubes and laser beams.

And their territory is sacrosanct; laymen are denied entry.?

BRUCE CATHIE

In recent years the defects in the peer review system have been the subject of a profusion

of critical editorials and studies in the literature. It is high time that the world

took heed of what the critics are saying, not least of all because of the medical and

health ramifications.

The notion of peer review has long occupied special territory in the world of science.

However, investigation of suppressed innovations, inventions, treatments, cures, and so on,

rapidly reveals that the peer review system is arguably better at one thing above all

others: censorship. This can mean censorship of everything from contrarian viewpoints to

innovations that render favored dogmas, products, or services obsolete (economic threats).

The problem is endemic, as many scientists have learned the hard way.

In truth, the systemic failure of peer review is one of sciences major, embarrassing

open secrets.

As Dr David Kaplan tells us, [P]eer review is known to engender bias, incompetence, excessive

expense, ineffectiveness, and corruption. A surfeit of publications has documented the

deficiencies of this system.[1]

Australian physicist Brian Martin elaborates in his excellent article Strategies for Dissenting

Scientists:

Certain sorts of innovation are welcome in science, when they fall within established

frameworks and do not threaten vested interests. But aside from this sort of routine innovation,

science has many similarities to systems of dogma. Dissenters are not welcome. They are

ignored, rejected, and sometimes attacked.[2]

Electric universe researcher and Big Bang critic Wal Thornhill (a REAL scientist) stated

plainly in our GFM Media interview that the peer review system amounts to censorship.

Fellow independent scientist Gary Novak agrees scathingly:

Peer review is a form of censorship, which is tyranny over the mind. Censorship does

not purify; it corruptsThere is a lot of junk science and trash that goes through the

peer review process.[3]

Brian Martin asks us rhetorically:

What do [scientists] have to gain by spending time helping an outsider? Most likely, the

alleged discovery will turn out to be pointless or wrong from the standard point of view.

If the outsider has made a genuine discovery, that means the outsider would win rewards

at the expense of those already in the field who have invested years of effort in the conventional

ideas.[4]

Herein lies the problem in moving science forward and shifting paradigms. A paradigm

is only as malleable (or mutable) as the minds and egos invested in it.

The Problem of Experts The reality is (as any real scientist will

tell you) that scientists are prone??just like lay people??to being cathected to

their pet theories and opinions, especially if they have been visibly rewarded or publicly

obtained accolades or financial remuneration as a result. Scientists, like laypeople, have

susceptible emotional bodies and often fairly hefty egos??partially due to their expertise

and academic titles, qualifications, theories, etc.

Once those hefty egos??belonging to people generally known as experts??rise

to positions of power and/or influence, they can calcify the flow of scientific progress

as well as the understanding of new discoveries or theories??particularly if they end up

acting as peer reviewers at high levels in prestigious publications. In that capacity,

too many become mere gatekeepers and seek not to facilitate innovation or vital new

Copernican-scale revelations, but to maintain the status quo which got them there in the

first place.

Dr Malcolm Kendrick comments in his excellent book Doctoring Data that, by definition,

anyone who is an expert in an area of medicine will be a supporter of whatever dogma

holds sway.[5]Close study of power dynamics in medicine bears this out. The players with

the deepest pockets have the funds to buy all of the experts they need to sell

a bogus product or ideology to an unsuspecting public.

Consider the following words from The Lancets editor Richard Horton (pictured below):

The mistake, of course, is to have thought that peer review was any more than a crude

means of discovering the acceptability??not the validity??of a new findingWe portray

peer review to the public as a quasi-sacred process that helps to make science our most

objective truth teller. But we know that the system of peer review is biased, unjust, unaccountable,

incomplete, easily fixed, often insulting, usually ignorant, occasionally foolish, and

frequently wrong.[6]

The Lancets editor Richard Horton Peer review, as a quasi-sacred process

that somehow supposedly transcends the foibles and follies human nature has taken on sacred

ritual status. Has the paper been blessed by the Peer Review Priest? Peer review is

held to be more than just pragmatically useful and functional (which clearly it is not, generally

speaking)??it is held as a transcendent, almost magical, organizing force occurring

in the heavenly ivory towers of Science, which somehow avoids falling prey to human weaknesses

by virtue of those humans lofty qualifications as scientists or experts.

Scientists, of course, arent quite human??they are something more, something pure, something

that the layman can never be. Students undergo a magical alchemical process as they proceed

through educational institutions and emerge transformed from their chrysalis with their

doctorates, masters, stethoscopes and equations. They are the Chosen Ones, the purified, the

holy, the redeemed, the righteous. They do not have to answer to the lowly non-scientific

peasantry let alone unbelieving heretics.

It is clear, however, that not only is the popular view of peer review misleading, but

the most prestigious publications are some of the very worst offenders. Significant scientific

publications??for example, the journal Nature??have a well documented history

of prejudice against findings or hypotheses that run contrary to established scientific

dogma.

Writing in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) in May 2000, Canadian-based researcher, David

Sackett, said that he would never again lecture, write, or referee anything to do

with evidence based clinical practice, over his concern that experts are stifling

new ideas. He wants the retirement of experts to be made compulsory and I think its a

brilliant proposition.

Sackett says that progress towards the truth is impaired in the presence of an expert.[7]

Trusting experts in oncology, for example, is generally a very good way to artificially

speed ones trip to the grave, particularly if one has metastatic cancer (allopathic medicine

is notoriously ineffective in that realm). And yet experts are now on a rarified

level that perhaps only popes and celebrities can understand??they are virtually demigods

today.

In the main, experts are those people in the establishment who espouse the mainstream

dogma and reify the politically correct belief structures. Experts are lionized because

the world that made them experts promotes and validates them when they affirm the already

established (and profitable) beliefs??and the media is complicit in this. If you want

to be horribly misled on any number of important issues, just head straight to just about any

mainstream news media outlet and listen to the establishments experts.

Is it not time to get the crusty, rigidified, and corrupt Old Guard out of the way so we

can let science move forward?

Is Most Research Just Bullshit? Harvard Medical Schools Dr. Marcia Angell

is the former Editor-in-Chief at the New England Journal of Medicine, where she spent twenty

years poring over scientific papers, saturated in the dubious practices that pervade the

world of medical research. She states bluntly:

It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published,

or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take

no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades

as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.[8]

Most experts in medicine are, psychologically speaking, simply engaged in well-paid groupthink

and confirmation bias exercises, vigorously affirming and defending their egos (lucrative)

construction of the world. To paraphrase physicist Max Planck, medicine, like science, advances

one funeral at a time.

Once the public has accepted the scientific establishments truths, narratives, and

designated experts then researchers who yield findings deviating from the accepted

norm can be immediately branded as crackpots, lunatics, fringe nuts, pseudo-scientists and

so on, regardless of how meticulous their methods, and irrefutable their results.

The media is crucial in this control dynamic because it sells the establishments reality.

Thus is the politically correct status quo maintained.

Peer Review Lets Garbage Through??and Lots of it!

Peer review censorship exemplifies the neophobia in the world of science which serves

to protect the status quo rather than improve knowledge by weeding out dubious epistemologies

and results, as it is meant to. This supposed mechanism of quality control has resulted

not only in the dismissal of much important and credible research, but it has also let

fraudulent research and lots of it!??be published at the same time. Papers that appear

to support fashionable ideas or entrenched dogmas are likely to fare well, even if they

are badly flawed??or outright rubbish!

David Kaplan, a professor of pathology at the Case Western Reserve University School

of Medicine in Cleveland, has stated that,

Peer review is broken. It needs to be overhauled, not just tinkered with. The incentives should

be changed so that: authors are more satisfied and more likely to produce better work, the

reviewing is more transparent and honest, and journals do not have to manage an unwieldy

and corrupt system that produces disaffection and misses out on innovation.[9]

Is it any wonder that John Ionnidis reported in his famous 2005 paper that, Most research

findings are false for most research designs and for most fields? Given the already

outlined problems, is it really surprising that, in Ionnidis words, Claimed research

findings may often be simply accurate measures of the prevailing bias?[10]

Dr. Marc Girard, a mathematician and physician who serves on the editorial board of Medicine

Veritas (The Journal of Medical Truth), has written,

The reason for this disaster is too clear: the power of money. In academic institutions,

the current dynamics of research is more favourable to the ability of getting grants??collecting

money and spending it??than to scientific imagination or creativity.[11]

In general, peer reviewers??generally not time-rich??dont try to replicate experiments

and rarely even request the raw data supporting a papers conclusions. Who has the time

for all that? Thus, peer review is, according to Richard Smith writing in Peer review in

health sciences,

thought to be slow, expensive, profligate of academic time, highly subjective, prone

to bias, easily abused, poor at detecting gross defects, and almost useless for detecting

fraud.[12] (emphasis added)

What about fake peer review? This is where the corrupt and abysmal becomes the theatre

of the absurd. For example, Berlin-based Springer Nature, who publishes the aforementioned Naturejournal

announced the retraction of 64 articles in 10 journals in an August 18th statement in

2015. This followed an internal investigation which found fabricated peer-review write-ups

linked to the articles.

The purge followed

similar discoveries of fake peer review by several other major publishers, including

London-based BioMed Central, an arm of Springer, which began retracting 43 articles in March

citing reviews from fabricated reviewers.[13]

Yes, that means reviewers that dont exist??recommended as reviewers by the people submitting

their work for review. Imagine writing a paper and being able to nominate a non-existent

person to review your work, and the contact email supplied to the publisher for this purpose

is actually one you made up, which routes the paper back to you (unbeknownst to the

publisher), so that you can then secretly carry out a (favourable) review of your own

work under a pseudonym!

Its being done, folks, this is not a joke.

In response to fake peer review some publishers have actually ended the practice of author-suggested

reviewers.[14]

And now for the Conceptual Penis Recently two scientists performed a brilliant

Sokal-style hoax on the journal Cogent Social Sciences. Under the pen names Jamie Lindsay

and Peter Boyle, and writing for the fictitious Southeast Independent Social

Research Group, Peter Boghossian and James Lindsay wrote a deliberately absurd paper

loosely composed in the style of post-structuralist discursive gender theory??what exactly

that is they made no attempt to find out.

The authors tell us:

The paper was ridiculous by intention, essentially arguing that penises shouldnt be thought

of as male genital organs but as damaging social constructionsWe assumed that if

we were merely clear in our moral implications that maleness is intrinsically bad and that

the penis is somehow at the root of it, we could get the paper published in a respectable

journal.[15] (emphasis added)

And they did. After completing the paper, and being unable to identify what it was actually

about, it was deemed a success and ready for submission, which went ahead in April 2017.

It was published the next month after some editorial feedback and additional tweaking.

To illustrate how deliberately absurd the paper is, a quote is in order:

We conclude that penises are not best understood as the male sexual organ, or as a male reproductive

organ, but instead as an enacted social construct that is both damaging and problematic for

society and future generations and is the conceptual driver behind much of climate change.[16]

In plain English, they (seemingly) argued here that a penis is not a male sexual organ

but a social construct; the conceptual penis is problematic for gender (and

reproductive) identity, as well as being the conceptual driver of climate change.

No, really. How this ever got published is something to ponder. The paper is filled with

meaningless jargon, arrant nonsense, and references to fake papers and authors.

As part of the hoax, none of the sources that were cited were even read by the hoaxers.

As Boghossian and Lindsay point out, it never should have been published. No one??not

even Boghossian and Lindsay??knows what it is actually saying.

Almost a third of the sources cited in the original version of the paper point to fake

sources, such as created by Postmodern Generator, making mock of how absurdly easy it is to

execute this kind of hoax, especially, the authors add, in academic fields corrupted

by postmodernism.[17] (emphasis added)

The Spectacular Success of Hoax Papers and Non-existent Authors

In April 2010, Cyril Labb of Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble, France, used a computer

program called SCIgen to create 102 fake papers under the pseudonym of Ike Antkare. SCIgen

was created in 2005 by researchers at MIT in Cambridge in order to demonstrate that

conferences would accept such nonsenseas well as to amuse themselves.

Labb added the bogus papers to the Google Scholar database, which boosted Ike Antkares

h-index, a measure of published output, to 94??at the time, making Antkare the worlds

21st most highly cited scientist.[18] (emphasis added)

So a non-existent scientist has achieved the distinction of being one of the worlds

most highly cited authors??while authoring papers consisting of utter gibberish. Congratulations

are certainly in order. In February 2014 it was reported that Springer and the Institute

of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), were removing over 120 such bogus papers from

their subscription services after Labbe identified them using his own software.

Going back at least as far as 1996 journalists and researchers have been getting spoof papers

published in conferences or journals to deliberately expose weaknesses in academic quality controls.

Physicist Alan Sokal (of the famous Sokal Affair) succeeded in the journal Social Text

in 1996, while Harvard science journalist John Bohannon revealed in a 2013 issue of

Science that he had duped over 150 open-access journals into publishing a deliberately

flawed study.[19]Bohannon organized submission of the flawed study (technically, many different

but very similar variations of the study) to 304 open access journals worldwide over

a period of 10 months. 255 went through the whole editing process to the point of either

acceptance or rejection.

He wrote:

Any reviewer with more than a high-school knowledge of chemistry and the ability to

understand a basic data plot should have spotted the papers shortcomings immediately. Its

experiments are so hopelessly flawed that the results are meaningless.[20]

The hoax paper was accepted by a whopping 157 of the journals and rejected by only 98.

Of the 106 journals that did conduct peer review, fully 70% accepted the paper.[21]

If peer review was a transparent and accountable process, according to Gary Novak,

there might be a small chance of correcting some of the corruptions through truth and

criticism; but the process is cloaked in the darkness of anonymityDue to the exploitive

and corrupt process, nearly everything in science has official errors within it[A]

culture of protecting and exploiting the errors creates an official reality which cannot be

opposed.[22]

Returning specifically to the arena of (mainstream) medicine, a quote in PLoS Medicine, states:

Journals have devolved into information laundering operations for the pharmaceutical

industry, wrote Richard Horton, editor of the Lancet, in March 2004. In the same

year, Marcia Angell, former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, lambasted

the industry for becoming primarily a marketing machine and co-opting every institution

that might stand in its wayJerry Kassirer, another former editor of the New England Journal

of Medicine, argues that the industry has deflected the moral compasses of many physicians,

and the editors of PLoS Medicine have declared that they will not become part of the cycle

of dependencybetween journals and the pharmaceutical industry.[23]

In the words of John Ionnidis, Most scientific studies are wrong, and they are wrong because

scientists are interested in funding and careers rather than truth.[24]

If most studies are wrong, and most scientists are more interested in their own careers and

funding than getting at the truth??while journals daily allow bogus and flawed pharmaceutical

research to be published and promoted??then why would anyone in their right mind believe

the claims made by doctors about the efficacy of products based upon peer review or

pharmaceutical studies? What does a term like safe and effective even mean

in this world of deception and subterfuge?

Clearly the problem of corruption and conflicts of interest have been increasingly on the

radar of professional academics for some time now, so much so that it has been the subject

of an increasing number of harshly critical articles and editorials. Conveying the depth

and breadth of deception to the uninitiated, however, presents a unique challenge. And

it isnt just conflict of interest and corruption to blame for the failure of peer review, there

is human bias, shoddy review work, fake reviewers and fraud, and varying other human interests

to factor in.

At the very least we need to cease indoctrinating students into the dogma that all good things

have been peer reviewed, and the converse: anything that has not been peer reviewed is

clearly blasphemous and crafted by the unholy hands of sinners. In the meantime, the public

needs to be warned: peer review is largely a sham and will not protect you or your family

from medical pseudo-science or dangerous pharmaceutical products. Your doctors word should not

be blindly trusted, especially when we know that doctors rely absurdly heavily on information

(read: propaganda) provided by the pharmaceutical industry itself (can you say conflicted?!)

in developing their views and opinions.

I cant help but cringe when I hear people ask if a study has been peer-reviewed.

The response this question most often deserves is simply, Who cares?

The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps

half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid

exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for

pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness.??Richard

Horton, Offline: What is medicines 5 sigma? The Lancet, 11 April 2015,

Apple iPhone 6s and Newer Display Adhesive Application- How To - Duration: 3:49.

Hey it's Alex from iFixit if you're replacing the display on your iPhone 6s

or later you're gonna want to replace the adhesive strips that keep your phone

water-resistant, but before you dive in there are a few things you're gonna need

to take care of. For this repair you'll need tweezers, a spudger, isopropyl

alcohol, with some swabs, a stack of coins, a heat gun, adhesive for your model phone,

and check out our guides for any other tools you'll need to open your specific

device. Carefully peel off all the old adhesive with some tweezers and a spudger.

Then apply a little bit of isopropyl alcohol to clean off any residue. To

reapply the adhesive strips begin by peeling the backing off starting with a

large blue tab. Carefully align the exposed lower adhesive strip with the

bottom edge of your iPhone's case. Be very careful here. Once the adhesive is

pressed into place you won't be able to reposition it and you'll have to remove

it and start over with a new adhesive strip. When you have it correctly aligned

gently press the exposed strip into place. Next we'll continue by peeling the

backing away and gently pressing the adhesive into place. If you've correctly

aligned the lower edge the sides and top edges will fall perfectly into place. If

you mess up and don't have an extra adhesive strip on hand, it's fine to

reassemble your iPhone without the adhesive in place. Just keep in mind your

iPhones water resistance will be compromised. With the adhesive in place

use a spudger to gently press the adhesive into position. Just make sure you're not

pressing on any of the internal components.

Now grab the small tab, and peel it back to separate the large frontliner from

the adhesive. It's time to reassemble your phone! Once you've reconnected your

display cables, and reconnect to the battery, replace both of your brackets.

Then take a moment to power your phone on and make sure to test it's working

perfectly. Make sure your entire screen is recognizing touch and display powers

on, and looks a-okay. Once you're sure everything is working great go ahead and

remove the final release liners exposing the adhesive. Do your best not to touch

the exposed adhesive. Slide the top of your iPhone into position making sure

the tabs fit into place just underneath the top edge of the iPhones case. Then

lower the display making sure all cables are clear and not being pinched by the

display and case. With your iPhone closed up we need to make sure the adhesive

bonds correctly. So essentially what we're going to do is activate the

adhesive with a little bit of heat and then use pressure to get everything

firmly sealed. We have a little bit of a complication. The camera bump makes

it so you won't be able to apply even pressure. We have a twenty-something

cent solution. We're gonna line the perimeter of the phone with some pennies

or coin of your choice, and then use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the

back to the phone until it's hot to the touch.

Then we're gonna stack four or five of our heaviest books squarely on top of

the phone. Leave them in place for about 30 minutes for the adhesive to set. Then

go ahead and take them off and pick up your iPhone.

All right if everything went like it should you've now restored your iPhone's

water resistance. Good job on your repair and we'll see you next time.

you

KFC Closes Down After Running Out Of Chicken - Duration: 10:33.

Hows it going youtube welcome back to Landonproduction I am Landon Dowlatsingh and this is where

I talk about the news.

If you guys are new here don't forget to hit the subscribe button so you can always

be caught up with the latest news and updates.

First up lets talk about KFC.

They were forced to close down its restaurants after running out of chicken.

There is a chicken crisis going on right now in the UK that is effecting KFC resturants

in Bristol, Berkshire, Cheshire, Devon, Newcastle, Suffolk and Surrey.

Signs were places on the doors of the KFC resturants that said, sorry were closed.

We deliver our chicken fresh into our resturants, but we've had a few hiccups with delivery

today.

We wouldn't want to open without offering our full menu but well be back at the fryers

as soon as we can.

A ton of people took it to twitter to show their frustration.

Ok So before we get right into the next big story let me ask you what do you think of

gun control?

Would gun control stop mass murders?

Should we ban guns?

Let me know all your thoughts in the comment section below.

One of the most talked about stories right now is about 19 yr old Nikolas Cruz the gunman

who shot and killed 17 people, while 15 more people were taken to the hospital.

Some of the victims were as young as 14 yrs old being students and their were teachers

who lost their lives as well the oldest being 49 yrs old.

There was a geography teacher who tried to save students lives by unlocking his door

for more students to hide in.

Really sad story.

This has become one of the worldest deadliest school massacres in history.

I have a ton of updates with this story.

This mass shooting occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas Highschool in Parkland, Florida which

is located in the Miamia Metropolitan area.

Nikolas Cruz has just pleaded guilty to the Florida murders in a plea to avoid the death

sentence.

Back in September of 2017 there was a comment he posted on social media that stated that

he wanted to become a professional school school with his AR-15 style rifle.

Also a month prio to the shooting the FBI received a tip that Nikolas made death threats

but due to an error the Miami field office was never notified of this information.

Police and prosecutors have not yet established a motive for the rampage and they are looking

into a pattern of discinplany issues and his behavior.

We do know Nikolas was expelled from his school for disciplinary reasons.

Nikolas arrived to his old school using Uber and he was carrying a backpack and a he had

a long bag where he had his gun inside of.

The school has about 900 students with 30 teachers and Nikolas went into the school

and activated the fire alarms so everyone would run towards him while he tried and kill

as many people as possible.

Nikolas was armed with a Smith & Wesson M&P15 gun that looks like this.

He has what police said to be unlimited amo.

He has multiple magazines.

He purchased the rifle legally from a nearby Coral Springers gun store.

Here is the gun shop and the owner who sold the gun is mortified to what happened and

is very afraid of the backlash this will cause him.

Its so crazy that Nikolas is just 19 yrs old and isn't even old enough to buy beer, but

he can legally buy a gun.

Under Flroida gun laws individuals can purchase a firearm at the age of 18 yrs old.

To buy liquor you have to be 21 yrs old.

Going back to the incident the shooting last for 6 minutes.

Nikolas after that time decided to blend in with the scared students and he just ran outside

the front door.and he walked to a walmart where he bought a pop than he walked ot mcDonalds

where he just hung out for almost 1 hour.

A police officer spotted him and arrested him without any problems.

School cameras easily recorded Nikolas as the shooter.

After the shooting happened the first responders established a triage tent outside the school.

The school district provided grief counseling to the students and their families.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi said the costs of funerals and counseling would be

covered by the state.

At least 3 counties in Florida and Virgina has increased police presence in schools in

response to the shooting.

This is another question for you guys.

What do you think of police officers walking around inside and ouside of schools.

I know when I was in highschool my highschool was pretty bad and we had a cop every day

inside of the school and their was talked about having a metal detector before we went

into of the school because we had a few stabbings.

Schools just seems like a very scary place lately.

Well let me know your thought about that in the comment section below.

Since this incident as well their has been a lot more talks about gun control and it

has to be time to address these issues.

President Donald Trump has been upsetting millions of people with his recent tweets

about this.

He tweeted this.

Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the florida school shooter

thisi not acceptable they are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion

with the trump campaign.

There is no collusion.

Get back to the basics and make us all proud.

Everyone is saying they cant believe the President is making this all about Russia.

Also we all know where Donald Trump stands with the gun control laws.

He is for Americans to have the right to own guns to protect themselves.

Well here we see hundreds of people protesting in front of the white house.

They are laying down playing dead to show what happens when people are allowed to have

guns they cause a lot of deaths.

I personally think Gun Control is something Donald Trump and the white house should take

a look at.

Austalias last mass shooting was back in 1996 where a man killed 35 people with a semi-

automatic weapon.

After this Australia began to ban rapid- fire guns.

Their hasn't been a mass shooting since the ban of guns in auslia.

Before 1996 their was 13 fatal mass shootings in Australia.

So it seems like for this whole country it worked.

According to eht Gun Violence Archive there were 346 mass shooting incidents in 2017 alone.

So far in 2018 their has been about 18 school shootings.

Something needs to happen.

This right here is a student who was shot 5 times being a hero saving 20 of his classmates

from Nikolas.

Sheriff Isreal was honored to visit 15 yr old Anthony Borges at the hospital who I am

hoping is able to pull through.

Also in the news we have Jon Venables this guy who we have been talking about lately.

Well this was a picture of him at the age of 10 yrs old.

This picture became famous after he committed murder at the age of 10 yrs old.

Well now at 35 yrs old he is back in prison.

Well he is back in the news because he was attacked in prison with boiling water during

a fight with another inmate.

This attack was believed to be in retaliation for his part in the murder of the 2 yr old

toddler James back in 1993.

Britains youngest convicted murderer now fears because his identity is now revealed, he feals

like he is a marked man and everyone wants him dead.

James the toddler who lost his life, well his mom just found out the full extent of

what happened to her son and also she just recently found out with the rest of the world

that Jon Venables was released from prison in 2001 under a new identity to keep him protected.

Jon Venables abducted, tortured and murdered but never served time in an adult prison for

the crimes.

Really messed up story, I am just gld he is back in prison where he belongs and now he

is a target.

Also one of the most talked about things right now is Black Panther this movie has been sold

out in the opening weekend even with a bunch of added times at the theaters.

This movie hit all kinda of records in the first 3 days of its released the movie earned

over 200 million dollars in North America and has made over 400 million dollars total

world wide.

The previous record high for a movie in February was Dead Pool that made 132 million well Black

Panther smashed that record.

This is also the biggest non- sequal movie to ever come out.

This was also the biggest solo superhero movie launch of all time, it's the biggest opening

weekend for a movie that came out on a holiday.

This is also the biggest opening weekend ever for any movie not directed by a white guy.

I could go on and on with how successful this movie was I did get a chance to watch it and

I loved it.

I cant wait to see the Black Panther in the upcoming Avengers Infinity War movie that

is set to come out on Star Wars day May 4th.

Avengers Infinity was has the biggest cast of any movies in history.

Marvel is going really big for this one.

This movie is said to have a 1 billion dollar budget.

It is said that up to 76 super heros will appear in this film.

Let me show you guys a quick trailer for this movie.

The trailer has over 139 million views which is also a record for the most viewed movie

trailer.

Well here it is.

I have some Olympic news for you.

There was another wardrobe malfunction during a figure skating routine by French skater

Gabrielle Papadakis.

She continued on with her routine but hundreds in the areana did see her left breast exposed.

She was exposed during the last few seconds of her routine.

Canada and American Broadcasters apologized for the unexpected nudity and have since edited

the footage.

Lucky for Gabrielle its actually very difficult to find a picture or a video of this nip slip

because the Olympics did a great job getting rid of it.

Famous Canadian skaters Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir have just broken their own short dance

world record.

They are currently in first place and are expected to win their second gold medal in

this short dance skating event.

Also I wanted to talk about this Swiss Skiers dad and step mom who biked from Switzerland

to South Korea to see their son compete.

Here is a picture of that journey that was posted on social media.

This journey began in February of 2017 and covered over 10,000 miles.

The couple traveled through 20 countries during this incredible ride of a life time.

I am not sure if they did this because they couldn't afford the flight or they just

wanted to challenge themselves.

Well luckily they got to the Olympics on time.

The Anti-Federalist Papers | Cato 4 - Duration: 8:35.

To the CITIZENS of the STATE of NEW-YORK.

Admitting, however, that the vast extent of America, together with the various other reasons

which I offered you in my last number, against the practicability of the just exercise of

the new government are insufficient to convince you; still it is an undeniable truth, that

its several parts are either possessed of principles, which you have heretofore considered

as ruinous, and that others are omitted which you have established as fundamental to your

political security, and must in their operation, I will venture to assert-fetter your tongues

and minds, enchain your bodies, and ultimately extinguish all that is great and noble in

man.

In pursuance of my plan, I shall begin with observations on the executive branch of this

new system; and though it is not the first in order, as arranged therein, yet being the

chief, is perhaps entitled by the rules of rank to the first consideration.

The executive power as described in the 2d article, consists of a president and vice-president,

who are to hold their offices during the term of four years; the same article has marked

the manner and time of their election, and established the qualifications of the president;

it also provides against the removal, death, or inability of the president and vice-president—regulates

the salary of the president, delineates his duties and powers; and lastly, declares the

causes for which the president and vice-president shall be removed from office.

Notwithstanding the great learning and abilities of the gentlemen who composed the convention,

it may be here remarked with deference, that the construction of the first paragraph of

the first section of the second article, is vague and inexplicit, and leaves the mind

in doubt, as to the election of a president and vice-president, after the expiration of

the election for the first term of four years—in every other case, the election of these great

officers is expressly provided for; but there is no explicit provision for their election

in case of the expiration of their offices, subsequent to the election which is to set

this political machine in motion—no certain and express terms as in your state constitution,

that statedly once in every four years, and as often as these offices shall become vacant,

by expiration or otherwise, as is therein expressed, an election shall be held as follows,

&c.—this inexplicitness perhaps may lead to an establishment for life.

It is remarked by Montesquieu, in treating of republics, that in all magistracies, the

greatness of the power must be compensated by the brevity of the duration; and that a

longer time than a year, would be dangerous.

It is therefore obvious to the least intelligent mind, to account why, great power in the hands

of a magistrate, and that power connected, with a considerable duration, may be dangerous

to the liberties of a republic—the deposit of vast trusts in the hands of a single magistrate,

enables him in their exercise, to create a numerous train of dependants—this tempts

his ambition, which in a republican magistrate is also remarked, to be pernicious and the

duration of his office for any considerable time favours his views, gives him the means

and time to perfect and execute his designs—he therefore fancies that he may be great and

glorious by oppressing his fellow citizens, and raising himself to permanent grandieur

on the ruins of his country—And here it may be necessary to compare the vast and important

powers of the president, together with his continuance in office with the foregoing doctrine—his

eminent magisterial situation will attach many adherents to him, and he will be surrounded

by expectants and courtiers—his power of nomination and influence on all appointments—the

strong posts in each state comprised within his superintendance, and garrisoned by troops

under his direction—his controul over the army, militia, and navy—the unrestrained

power of granting pardons for treason, which may be used to screen from punishment, those

whom he had secretly instigated to commit the crime, and thereby prevent a discovery

of his own guilt—his duration in office for four years: these, and various other principles

evidently prove the truth of the position—that if the president is possessed of ambition,

he has power and time sufficient to ruin his country.

Though the president, during the sitting of the legislature, is assisted by the senate,

yet he is without a constitutional council in their recess—he will therefore be unsupported

by proper information and advice, and will generally be directed by minions and favorites,

or a council of state will grow out of the principal officers of the great departments,

the most dangerous council in a free country.

The ten miles square, which is to become the seat of government, will of course be the

place of residence for the president and the great officers of state—the same observations

of a great man will apply to the court of a president possessing the powers of a monarch,

that is observed of that of a monarch—ambition with idleness-baseness with pride-the thirst

of riches without labour-aversion to truth-flattery-treason-perfidy-violation of engagements-contempt of civil duties-hope

from the magistrates weakness; but above all, the perpetual ridicule of virtue—these,

he remarks, are the characteristics by which the courts in all ages have been distinguished.

The language and the manners of this court will be what distinguishes them from the rest

of the community, not what assimilates them to it, and in being remarked for a behaviour

that shews they are not meanly born, and in adulation to people of fortune and power.

The establishment of a vice president is as unnecessary as it is dangerous.

This officer, for want of other employment, is made president of the senate, thereby blending

the executive and legislative powers, besides always giving to some one state, from which

he is to come, an unjust pre-eminence.

It is a maxim in republics, that the representative of the people should be of their immediate

choice; but by the manner in which the president is chosen he arrives to this office at the

fourth or fifth hand, nor does the highest votes, in the way he is elected, determine

the choice—for it is only necessary that he should be taken from the highest of five,

who may have a plurality of votes.

Compare your past opinions and sentiments with the present proposed establishment, and

you will find, that if you adopt it, that it will lead you into a system which you heretofore

reprobated as odious.

Every American whig, not long since, bore his emphatic testimony against a monarchical

government, though limited, because of the dangerous inequality that it created among

citizens as relative to their rights and property; and wherein does this president, invested

with his powers and prerogatives, essentially differ from the king of Great-Britain (save

as to name, the creation of nobility and some immaterial incidents, the off-spring of absurdity

and locality) the direct prerogatives of the president, as springing from his political

character, are among the following:—It is necessary, in order to distinguish him from

the rest of the community, and enable him to keep, and maintain his court, that the

compensation for his services; or in other words, his revenue should be such as to enable

him to appear with the splendor of a prince; he has the power of receiving embassadors

from, and a great influence on their appointments to foreign courts; as also to make treaties,

leagues, and alliances with foreign states, assisted by the senate, which when made, become

the supreme law of the land: he is a constituent part of the legislative power; for every bill

which shall pass the house of representatives and senate, is to be presented to him for

approbation; if he approves of it, he is to sign it, if he disapproves, he is to return

it with objections, which in many cases will amount to a compleat negative; and in this

view he will have a great share in the power of making peace, coining money, &c. and all

the various objects of legislation, expressed or implied in this Constitution: for though

it may be asserted that the king of Great-Britain has the express power of making peace or war,

yet he never thinks it prudent so to do without the advice of his parliament from whom he

is to derive his support, and therefore these powers, in both president and king, are substantially

the same: he is the generalissimo of the nation, and of course, has the command & controul

of the army, navy and militia; he is the general conservator of the peace of the union—he

may pardon all offences, except in cases of impeachment, and the principal fountain of

all offices & employments.

Will not the exercise of these powers therefore tend either to the establishment of a vile

and arbitrary aristocracy, or monarchy?

The safety of the people in a republic depends on the share or proportion they have in the

government; but experience ought to teach you, that when a man is at the head of an

elective government invested with great powers, and interested in his re-election, in what

circle appointments will be made; by which means an imperfect aristocracy bordering on

monarchy may be established.

You must, however, my countrymen, beware, that the advocates of this new system do not

deceive you, by a fallacious resemblance between it and your own state government, which you

so much prize; and if you examine, you will perceive that the chief magistrate of this

state, is your immediate choice, controuled and checked by a just and full representation

of the people, divested of the perogative of influencing war and peace, making treaties,

receiving and sending embassies, and commanding standing armies and navies, which belong to

the power of the confederation, and will be convinced that this government is no more

like a true picture of your own, than an Angel of darkness resembles an Angel of light.
