i used some materials for making this
old wood-board
empty liquid soap bottle
used toothbrush holder basket
net cloth
Styrofoam piece
and
paint
now
i'm painting on this board
you can paint or draw
whatever you want
this is
an empty soap bottle
you can use any empty bottles
plastic bottle is suitable for this
i'm drawing cloud shape on this bottle
you can draw any shape
as you like
after
cut it
then
now
for decoration
i used Styrofoam
to make mini clouds
cutting cloud shape
then
back side of the wooden board

for
wall hang
after
making holes
to release water
i use safety pin to make holes
make 6 holes for water release
holes must be
very small
you can use
needle
or
any pin which
should be very thin
can see the holes

attach it on the board

then
attach all clouds on wooden board
i use glue
to paste Styrofoam clouds
after finished work

you can use coco peat
or
potting soil

you can grow small plants

succulent plants
i put some white stones
to keep the soil

for beauty
i just cut

cloth piece
in this water releasing
every 3 days
i fill water
and also
water filling
depends on
capacity of bottle
and
water releasing holes
if hole size increases
water will be released faster
so
be careful to make holes

My first tip would be to not wear earrings if you are going to wear earrings wear really
tiny studs do not go wearing sparkly stuff or chandelier earrings
because you are going
to look fancyand you are thrift shopping
B would be because the earrings are going
to get snugged in clothes when you are trying tops on and stuff so it will make your experience
kind of difficult also because the earrings might get lost and you know it sucks to lose
a favorite pair of earrings do not do that to yourself
Why?
I do not know why the prices seem to skyrocket any time you speak in English because people
find it fancy even though we have been learning English since class 1 so I do not know why
anyway go try it speak in English go say hey how much does this top go for instead of unauzaje?
The prices will be different so do not speak in English use Swahili if you are good at

number three would be to wear closed shoes only and preferably rubber shoes why? because

to try on tops and stuff so when you are lifting and taking tops off and your top is short

find loose change and your fare is fifty shillings and you know how long it takes for the conductor

to go through the anxiety of waiting for change simply carry loose change like a hundred shilling
notes two hundred shillings fifty shilling notes at most five hundred shillings to make
sure that the experience of waiting for your change is easier
if you are new to shopping at an open air market because it takes a lot of time to walk
around you know try on tops decide if you like them or not go to the next stall like

not even think of carrying a laptop bag or a laptop bag looking item because it looks

with someone why because a it is so much more fun b you can hold their stuff and they can
hold your stuff when you are trying tops on or you found a lot of nice stuff that you
like and instead of having them over your shoulder and then you are also hunting for
more clothes they can hold them for you and vice versa
Reason c would be maybe you do not know how to bargain for example me over here so it
would help to have someone who knows how to bargain prices down and who is familiar with
how much something would sell for so you do not get expensive prices when you would have
gotten a bargain you need to drink water whose source you know
it is water you carried from home so you know it is clean versus buying water and you do
not know where the water is from you do not want to risk your health plus it is another
expense like save yourself the cash also the wet wipes because shopping is grimy I mean
it is thrift shopping you are shopping at an open air market clothes fall and then they
are picked up and they go back in the pile and you are going to try them on your hands
are pretty dirty it would be nice if you could clean them up when you are done shopping so
you do not end up getting bacteria on yourself even more than you already have
if you do not find what you were looking for do not worry at least you know where not to
look so next time you know where to look and you have already gotten yourself oriented
with the area and stuff so you know where to find what next time
I prefer to go shopping when it is not an official market day for Kawangware I think
it is Tuesdays and Fridays so I prefer to go on Mondays and Saturdays
Monday is such a weird day to go shopping but yeah because a there aren't any crowds
and b the prices are cheaper when it is market day even the sellers know it is market day
really so there is a whole bunch of new customers coming so there's a lot of people so the
prices go up because people want to make sales another reason why I prefer to go when it
is not a market day is because I find it hard to find tops and stuff that fits me when it
is market day because I do not know why I just end up not finding what I am looking
for on market day so after market day everyone has already bought stuff and the pile is like
smaller it is like everyone has sorted through everything so find stuff that is my size I
mean I will go to Kawangware on market day and not buy a thing because there is no top
my size I mean why?!
ok so that is just me so if you are one of those lucky guys that find stuff on market
day but market day tends to be kind of expensive but expensive to me is fifty shillings instead
of thirty shillings so yeah I am a cheap girl Please feel free to share your tips on thrift
