Today in military history, 1935.

Nazi leader Adolf Hitler organizes the Reich Luftwaffe,

which would become the crucial part of Germany's blitzkrieg,

or lightning war, against the Allies.

When World War II broke out,

the Luftwaffe had an operational force

of over 2,000 fighters and bombers.

Commanded by a German air hero from World War I,

the air division was used to deadly effect,

striking blows that brought Poland, Denmark,

Norway, Holland, Belgium, and France to their knees.

Once Hitler captured France,

he turned his attention to Britain.

In what would become known as the Battle of Britain,

the Luftwaffe attacked the United Kingdom at home.

But the Nazis had underestimated English bravery,

determination, and luck.

Their furious resistance

and the indomitable fighting of the Royal Air Force

handed the Luftwaffe its first defeat.

Hitler's air campaign lost momentum over the war.

The Germans had overreached.

And by the time the Allies launched their invasion

on D-Day at Normandy,

the skeletal Luftwaffe proved to be irrelevant

in the face of Allied air superiority.

Osiris and Set ETYPTIAN MYTHOLOGY - Duration: 3:24.

after the world was created the first five gods were born they were Osiris

Isis Set Nephthys and Horus the elder Osiris was the first born of the

five so he was the Lord of the earth and Isis was taken as his wife he was a kind

and just ruler and Egypt became a paradise under his rule Set his brother

became jealous of Osiris's success and the relationship was always on edge but it

was truly strained when Nephthys sets wife disguised herself as Isis and

seduced Osiris as a revenge Set created a beautiful coffin to fit Osiris exactly

and threw a grand party he presented the coffin and told the guests that

whoever could fit inside could keep it Osiris volunteered to try to fit in when

he laid down set slammed the coffin shut on Osiris and dumped it into the Nile

where I was carried away to Byblos Phoenicia the coffin became lodged into

a tree the tree grew around the coffin until it was completely contained in it

soon after the king of Byblos Malcander was wandering the banks when he saw the

tree he admired its beauty and decided to have the tree cut and made into an

ornamental pillar for the court that is where Osiris remain trapped until he

died Isis meanwhile had left Egypt in search

of her husband and eventually came to Byblos disguised as an older woman she

sat on the shore crying for her missing husband and was found by some royal hand

maidens who felt bad so they brought her back to the palace there she presented

herself as a goddess Isis to the king and queen and they promised her anything

they wanted as long as she spared them she requested only the pillar which they

allowed her to take after leaving the court she caught Osiris from the tree

and carried his body back to Egypt where she hid him from the set she left him

to go gather some herbs to make a potion to bring him back to life

leaving her sister Nephthys to guard the body while she was gone

Seth learned of his brother's return and went to find the body he found it and

hacked the body to pieces and then scattered them across the lands Isis was

horrified who his Nephthys help she was able to recover all the body parts

she then revived him and she was once again alive even though Osiris was now

living she was complete and can no longer rule the land

of living he withdrew into the afterlife where he became the Lord and judge of

the dead before he left Isis assumed the form of a kite and flew

around him she became pregnant with a son named Horus who she hid from set

fearing what he might do to him when Horace was fully grown he was a fierce

warrior he battled with set for control over the world and drove set from the

lands the chaos which set had unleashed onto the world was conquered by Horace

who restored order and balance the lands and now ruled with his mother so that

HOW TO HELP OTHERS AND DO GOOD 💗 JUSTICE - Duration: 4:09.

Hi guys, my name is Alicia.

And my daughter's name is, Chloe and she's 10 years old.

And she's a Girl With Heart.

Hi, I'm Kimberly.

And this is Juliette.

And this is Ella.

And they're, Justice Girls With Heart Ambassadors.

And I am the mom of Girl with Heart Ambassador, Noelia.

Hi guys.

It's Noe , from Girls With Heart.

It's important to have fun while doing good.

And for us, we're part

of an afterschool club called, Samaritans 365.

And I actually run the club, at, the children's school.

And in this club, we have fun,

while learning about giving back.

So for fun.

I like to sew.

So, we get to sew together.

Chloe has her own non-profit organization

and she makes custom tote bags.

So those tote bags are made, how?

By a sewing machine by me and my mom.

Yeah, so she makes custom tote bags and it's really cool

'cause, she passes em out to homeless women.

And we decided to make a GoFundMe account

and, get donations from people that she knew.

And do other types of activity to collect money

to help those in need in Puerto Rico.

We actually collected $8,200.

And we traveled to Puerto Rico,

so she could see first hand the community

that she was helping.

She was helping rebuild their high school

that got destroyed by Hurricane Maria.

One of the ways that we like to give back is

by donating our gently used, shoes and clothes

to local foster care agencies

and to children in need in our community.

It's important to teach my daughter to give back

because I believe it's teaching her how

to be a community giver.

It's teaching her to be active in her community.

And it's also teaching her that,

it's always better to give than to receive.

I have always taught Noey,

that there are four major characteristics

that you should have

in order to be a successful human being.

One of them is have good grades.

So academics.

The other one is character.

The other one is literacy.

And the fourth one is community service.

I think it's important to teach children

from a young age the concept of giving back.

It helps them think about others.

Not just themselves.

And it also gives them a sense of gratitude and appreciation

for everything they do have.

I am extremely proud of my daughter, Chloe.

Because, I believe she's inspiring

so many other young girls and young boys

to give back in the community.

I believe she's inspiring other kids

to start their own businesses,

start their own organizations,

and really just, get out there and do stuff

without having limitations on them.

My hope is that by teaching them now the importance

of giving back will help them grow

into kind, compassionate adults

with a sense of social responsibility,

to help others in need.

I have fun giving back, because I get to help others.

It's fun to help others because it fills my heart

with the magic of giving.

I have fun giving back because it makes me happy.

And to me happy means fun.

It's important to give back because I think

that we all should do our part, in this world.

And also, I like giving back is because I get

to spend more time with my mom.

Yeah, we get to do a lot of community service projects.

And, with doing that,

I get to spend a lot of time with Chloe.

Which is also really cool because

it gives us an opportunity to bond all the time.

Even if you don't have an organization

that you're affiliated with.

Or you're unsure, about how to get involved.

There's always something you can do on your own.

By thinking of good deeds and things that you can do

to bring a smile to someone else's face.

Noelia, I am so proud of you,

for having a big heart and trying to help out, Puerto Rico.

And collecting all that money.

And going door by door.

And helping all those families and all those kids in need.

The Canon 80D is STILL 2018's best Vlogging Camera! - Duration: 4:21.

so it's already February 2018 and if you're looking to start or even upgrade

your vlog game this year you've got to do it now

so what canon camera should you purchase to do so which one's versatile enough to

produce a vlog but still affordable say under 1,500 bucks let's find out hey

welcome back to espresso full mug media's value pack tidbit series I'm

your host Kane Nash and today we're going to be talking about why you should

be vlogging with the canon 80D, and if at any point during the show you're

curious about anything I mentioned, want to check out the prices or specs

individually of anything I've talked about check out the links in the

description I've got it all down there or our write-up of this video on medium

to start off we're just gonna run through the list of specs it's got a 24

megapixel aps-c sensor whoo not to mention that dual pixel autofocus with

45 points of autofocus this is a really big thing for vlogging it's got an

articulating touchscreen it can capture 1080p at 60 frames a second which means

you can do some of that buttery slo-mo not quiet hundred and twenty one-DX but

you can still do some pretty good slo-mo it's got a beautiful weather resistant

body and it's got Wi-Fi and NFC built in so if you don't have an SD card slot on

your MacBook or a MacBook you can just Wi-Fi drop the stuff to your phone now

just rapid-fire a couple of reasons I really like the 80D for vlogging reasons

I think it's superior it's got an extra headphone jack so that if you're

recording audio to use it later like say you find a street band you're gonna use

their music as the music for your whole vlog but you don't want to record crappy

audio you can plug in headphones and monitor what you're recording while

you're recording it to make sure that the levels sound good it's great, My T6i did not have that and when I upgraded to the 80D that was my favorite

feature aside from the 45 points of autofocus though that is just buttery

and amazing another thing I like about the 80D is it's heavy enough to get good

b-roll and by that I mean you can get good b-roll with like smaller cameras

like GoPros and black magics but for me there's something about the weight in my

hands and I have the battery grip on my Canon 80 d so I've got like some extra

weight going on there at a Joby Gorillapod like this one right here you

basically got a rod coming down off your camera to weigh it down so you can kind

of get those smooth cinematic movements without having to have things like

steadicams and gimbals always with you and obviously this is a no-brainer but

if you're somebody who's looking at something like a point-and-shoot for

your vlogging setup the reason I would say go DSLR above point-and-shoot is

interchangeable lenses you can do all kinds of stuff which means if I want a

really wide angle look I can use something like this wide lens right here

which is great for vlogging by the way it's the lens casey neistat shot

most of the vlog on to show way more of your surroundings to really make your

viewer feel like they're in the shot whereas if you use something like the 50

millimeter prime that we reviewed a couple of days ago you're gonna have a

lot less room to work with and also that's a fixed prime lens so you can't

like zoom you have to move with your camera to change shots and positions but

you can get some really really amazing creamy shots out of it like we talked

about in that video if you haven't seen the links in the description and article

links in the description we got all kinds of links people but anyway so if

you've gotten a little bit of extra budget I would go for something like a

DSLR that has an interchangeable lens system so in conclusion the Canon 80D is

still the best vlogging camera in February 2018 because of its amazing

autofocus that articulating touch screen and Canon colorscience
