If you need to upgrade or replace the hard drive in your Xbox one X look no

further, because today I'm going to show you how to do it. For this repair you're

going to need a Torx T8, a Torx T10, tweezers, a spudger, and you'll be

unscrewing a lot of screws so we recommend using a magnetic mat. So you

can map out where all the screws go. We haven't personally experienced this

but some people consider adding an SSD to be a warranty voiding modification,

and could potentially get you banned from Xbox services. So to be honest

replacing the hard drive in your Xbox does require a bit of hacking. The Xbox

One X's hard drive is formatted in a way that requires certain tools to get

it up and running again. Because of software updates to the Xbox this

process might change. So we're not going to outline it for you in this video

today, but you can check out the description for some instructions that

worked for us. To get started grab your Torx bit, and start by unscrewing the

screw on the back near the power cord port. Next grab your tweezers and remove

the sticker that's hiding the second screw holding the upper case in place.

Once those are out you can remove the top plastic by sliding the upper

case forward, and then lifting up. There are two boards attached to the outside

case. One on the side, and one on the front.

Both are held in place by three T8 Torx screws.

The board on the front has a small cable that needs to be disconnected before

pulling it forward and out of its socket. Then start removing the 6 case screws and 2

cable bracket screws from the metal frame. Use your spudger to lift the small

metal bracket attached to the cable. Free your hands of tools so you can flip the

Xbox over with the bottom facing you. Then lift to remove the plastic cover

and remove the two remaining screws holding the metal case together. Now you

can lift the metal case up and off. Flip the Xbox over and remove the four screws

securing the 1 terabyte Seagate hard drive in place.

Flip back over to the other side and lift the optical drive out of the way.

Now you can see the two cables connecting the hard drive to the

motherboard. Disconnect them, and remove the hard drive. The hard drive has a

bracket that can be removed by unscrewing four screws. With those out

the bracket comes off, and you can disconnect the SATA connector from your

Baby Names That Mean Something Inappropriate In Other Languages - Duration: 4:16.

The language barrier is very real.

Sometimes a word that means one thing in English means something very different - and even

offensive - in another language.

"(speaking incorrect Spanish)."

Before you pick a name for your baby, you may want to think twice about some of these

baby names that mean something totally inappropriate in another language.

It's such a cute name that Chloe is trending

all over the world, ranked in the top 100 names for baby girls in several countries

including the United States and Spain.

But despite the name's popularity, it's not ranked in Germany for a simple reason: it's

way too close to the word "klo," which is German slang for "toilet."

Not exactly something you would want to call your baby!

Most people these days think of Apple's personal

assistant when they hear the name Siri but it's actually a name in its own right.

With its origins in Scandinavia, the name Siri is currently pretty popular in Sweden,

but it's not so hot in Japan.

That's because, when spoken aloud by native Japanese speakers, the name Siri sounds a

lot like the Japanese word for "ass."

Siri, find us a less embarrassing name!

The nickname Dom is frequently given to those

named Dominic, or Dominique.

It's cute and catchy, but if you find yourself in the Netherlands, you might want to be careful.

In Dutch, the word "dom" is more likely to be heard as an insult, because it translates

to "stupid."

Hey, at least you can always call them "Nick" instead, right?

If you think you can play it safe by giving

your little Dominic or Nicholas the nickname Nick, you're wrong.

While it's a popular and even a jolly name thanks to its connection to Santa Claus, it

might make French people snicker thanks to the fact that it sounds quite a lot like a

slang word that roughly translates to "f---."

And saying that word will definitely get your kid coal in their stocking!

Deriving from a Welsh word meaning "little,"

the name Vaughn has remained fairly common in the United States for generations.

However, you're unlikely to find anyone named Vaughn in Russia, because over there, "von"

means "stench."

That stinks!

There are actually a couple reasons that people

might giggle at the name Randy.

In English, the name is usually a form of Randall or Randolph... but can also refer

to feeling aroused.

"Do I make you randy?"

That's kind of rough, but it's much worse in Hindi, where the word "randi" means "prostitute."

So… maybe not.

Regardless of how it's spelled, the name Kara

is a very popular name in the United States and the United Kingdom.

But it turns out thousands of people have been giving their baby girls a name that's

an insult in Arabic.

While the English version of the name comes from an Italian word meaning "beloved," in

Arabic, this lovely name actually translates to "s***."

Whoops.

In the United States, Gil usually short for

Gilbert, while in Europe, it is the Spanish and Portuguese equivalent of the name Giles.

Gil is also a Hebrew name; in that language it translates to "happiness" or "joy."

In Poland, however, Gil is not used as a name or as a particularly nice word.

There, the name is a term that means "snot."

Of course, none of this means that you should necessarily refrain from giving your baby

a particular name if you really like it.

But it's always good to be culturally aware.

If your child ends up traveling to a place where their name is considered to be an insult,

they can always use a nickname or their middle name.

Although you might want to recommend they double check what those words mean too…

just in case!

and Rome in 2019 so celebrity edge is coming soon guys bookings are open and

the first sailing is going to be November 21st 2018 home porting in Fort

Lauderdale's so if you're excited about that ship get online get booking alright

next news for the week is from Norwegian cruises on January 31st Norwegian Cruise

Line marked the start of its construction for Norwegian encore and

Norwegian will be the ultimate and also the last ship in the breakaway plus

class special I think it's very interesting that they said this is the

last ship in the breakaway plus class so in Germany they did their standard steel

cutting ceremony which marks the ceremonial start of construction on

these ships so that ship is due for delivery on my birthday of all days in

2019 so October 20 excuse me October 31st 2019 we are going to be

seeing Norwegian court delivered so apparently that's

gonna be the 17th ship in the Norwegian fleet and as we mentioned the fourth and

final ship in the breakaway plus class this has been a very successful class in

this brands history and this one is going to hold about 4,000 passengers at

a hundred and sixty-seven thousand eight hundred gross tons you guys this one is

going to be available for reservations next month so coming soon March 2018 you

can start booking a Norwegian encore very exciting all right now onto news

from Disney Cruise Line they are bringing back their two very special

engagements which we all know and love a Star Wars day at sea and marvel day at

sea if you'd like to know a little bit more about that make sure you check out

Carnival Corp about P&O Cruises for those of you who are in the UK very

exciting that Carnival Corp announced it's signed a shipbuilding contract for

a second gen cruise ship for piano so this is the second one that's going to

be new and this one's gonna be delivered in 2022 very similar to a fellow piano

cruises sister ship that's due in 2020 this one's coming two years later this

one will be the largest cruise ship to be built specifically for the British

market so for those of you who live in the UK please let me know what you think

about that now this is a giant ship guys fifty two hundred lower berths and 180

thousand gross tons that is a mega ship really really big all right our next bit

of news today is from Holland America they are expanding their guests service

for their alaska land and sea journeys guys they are adding a 99 room addition

that features junior suites at their their Lodge up in Denali so these junior

suites will have balconies larger living rooms and more amenities for the guests

so this is going to be I want to see exactly what property this is going to

be out I believe that this is the McKinley Chalet Resort and

Denali square heiress that's very exciting and just adds more options if

you're doing in Alaska land and sea with Holland America and our last bit of news

today is a great segue into our big announcement about our next cruise and

that is that Carnival Splendor and carnival miracle have done their

flip-flop they have done their their ship shift and Carnival Splendor is now

in Long Beach California I saw a picture of it online and it looks so big in Long

Beach after having the miracle here for so long so it's made its transit through

the Panama Canal and carnival miracle has made its transit going the opposite

direction over to homeport in Tampa so we're very excited about that we know

that that's going to be super cool stuff now that leads us to the big

announcement guys probably no surprise to you that our next cruise it's going

to be on Carnival Splendor coming up this spring we're really thrilled about

it we're looking at deals and we are going to make it happen cannot wait now

we will be jumping on that ship for a little preview next weekend at the lung

beach terminal ribbon-cutting by the time that we air this episode it will

actually be this upcoming weekend so we're excited to show you little peeks

of the new terminal the newly expanded terminal in Long Beach before that

happens so join us and celebrating we are thrilled we're thrilled I have lots

of questions today from cruisers who need some answers and I need a lot of

help with this if you all have some answers for me let me know some of them

I'm going to do my best to answer some of them I'm going to go ahead and turn

purchasing non cruise line travel insurance

what is it protecting so bill to answer your question the reason that a lot of

people buy their insurance outside the cruise line isn't just because it's less

expensive it generally is quite a bit less expensive but what you're also

doing is you're covering your entire trip

not just the cruise so you might choose to cover your flight portion your pre

and post cruise travels and a lot of people find that that's a little bit

easier to do when they buy insurance outside the line now I'm very much

oversimplifying here so for those of you who want to learn a little bit more

about this over on cruise radio Doug Parker did an excellent interview with

one of the executives at trip insurance comm that outlines a little bit more

about travel insurance for cruisers so be sure to give that a listen

on his podcast I've got to the same question from two people this week this

is really interesting you guys and they need your help with us both Natalia and

Adam want to get passport stamped on their cruises imports like Cozumel Grand

Cayman falmouth Roatan Costa Maya and Belize has anyone ever done this have

you ever got your passport stamped and if so how do you do it and where do you

go Mary Margaret wants to know if she needs

the drink package on her next cruise wants to know if you can just order

drinks as needed if you're only the type who drinks a few drinks a day and she

also wants some tips on a motion sickness

Mary Margaret from what you've told me it doesn't sound like you need the drink

package you're probably going to spend way too much money on it I would go all

a cart and yes you can absolutely buy your drinks all a cart one at a time as

you'd like them if you're not gonna drink five or seven drinks a day and

that's again that's very rough math because this calculation is different

for every cruise line in every cruiser then go ahead and buy them all a cart as

for motion sickness we have lots of videos and information on motion

sickness and a very very exciting new product release that has come out most

recently and that is the relief band 2.0 you want to be sure to follow us on our

other channel cruisegear because we are going to be doing a video review of the

relief band which is considered the premium solution for motion sickness

there are lots of other solutions including medications pressure point

it back in packing cubes and then fold down our pop-up pampers and put them in

to one of the most important music venues in the world.

CBGB, which was home to American punk's

most important performances by legendary bands

such as the Ramones, Bad Brains, Misfits, and Blondie.

Now unfortunately, while they don't exist anymore,

you can still find the storefront where they used to exist.

Right now we have chickpeas and potato and peas.

And then under that, we have a thick layer of rice.

Of course we have my roti.

I'm gonna start with the potatoes and the peas.

Let's go for it.

Yeah, oh wow.

The potatoes seem to be boiled

and then flavored with the curry.

And of course the peas are mixed in beautifully,

perfectly cooked,

there's a little bit of crunch to the peas,

and of course the potatoes are soft,

but together with this curry, they're both a medium hot.

On the other side, we have these chickpeas.

Let's see how they do.

The chickpeas aren't curried.

I'm not really familiar with the sauce that this is,

but it's really good, it's kind of a milder sauce.

So it's not necessarily something

that will light you on fire.

This is solid chickpeas.

These Squishy Batteries Are Made Out of Water, Here's How They Work - Duration: 2:44.

We humans are soft and squishy, and don't like electricity.

Robots are hard and pointy, and they love it.

So how do we make a robot that's soft and squishy like living things, but still gets

power?

Hydrogels of course.

Hard, metal robots are so 20th century.

"Soft-robotics" is hip.

Just like me.

Soft-robotics involves making technology that is similar to biological material, like we

often find in nature and within ourselves.

We want things kind of like us; soft, durable, waterproof.

And hydrogels cover all the bases.

But there's something still holding soft robots back from taking over the squishy parts

of the world ... Batteries.

Except, electricity and water don't mix.

Unless you're one, very specialized animal…

The Electrophorus electricus, commonly known as the electric eel.

If we can copy the technology that evolution gave the electric eel, then we can unplug

these organic looking creations, from dry land with "soft batteries!"

These strange long fish can generate electricity with an organ containing cells called electrocytes.

Electrocytes by themselves can't do much damage, but jammed up all together they can

give a shock of up to 600 volts.

By analyzing the eels, scientists realized the electrocytes are organized in long stacked

compartments with extra fluid space in between.

They looked at each component in the eel's electrocyte and mimicked the same idea into

alternating patterns of saltwater and freshwater hydrogels.

Saltwater, has salt in it, meaning it's an electrolyte.

Here, the red gels are filled with saltwater, and the blues are filled with freshwater.

At the points where they touch, the negative ions from within the saltwater flow towards

the empty freshwater.

But that's not enough to mimic the eel biology.

The yellow and green gels on the seperate sheet are filled with specialized fluid that

don't just let the ions flow willy-nilly.

Instead the yellow gels only let negative ions through, while the green gels only let

positive.

Together, these colorful gels move the ions in a specific direction, generating a voltage!

Voila!

Electricity from fluids, just like an eel!

By copying this soft squishy battery design, researchers hope to create soft squishy robots

that can be used as wearable technology, or in other natural environments, when traditional

batteries could get damaged or be too dangerous.

The thing is, you'll need a lot of these little cells to generate enough electricity

to do much with.

Right now researchers can only generate 110 volts from their soft battery, but they're

working on more…

How The Bible Helped Me Deal With Abuse. WARNING: Mentions of abuse. - Duration: 4:04.

How's it going everyone, my name is Dave. Welcome to this channel and another two

minute devotion! If this is your first time here, this is where I normally do a

short two-minute devotion ... but today I want to get a little bit personal. I want

to talk about how faith can help you overcome things like abuse, and trauma,

and rejection. So I'm gonna share a little bit of my story.

Okay, so normally about now I would be putting two minutes up on the clock, but

today I'm not gonna worry so much about the time because I really want to be

sensitive to the topic, and share a little bit about my story.

One of my favorite stories in the Bible is the one where this woman goes to see Jesus,

and she brings with her this really expensive bottle of perfume.

Now, her plan is to anoint Jesus with this perfume ... but rather than just

twisting the top off, scripture tells us that she actually breaks the bottle open!

And it doesn't take long for the guys who are watching this happen to start

accusing the woman of wasting something of great value. But Jesus comes to the

woman's defense by telling everyone that she has actually done something

beautiful for him. Now when I was growing up, I believed that I was a lot like that

bottle of perfume; broken and wasted. You see, from the age of six to about 11,

I was sexually abused, and that meant that I spent a lot of my childhood feeling

broken and rejected and alone. Now, when I was around people I would put on this

brave face and pretend that I was really outgoing ... but most of the time I was

actually really shy and withdrawn and really self-conscious. And because I was

so shy and timid, I would often get bullied by other kids and that just left

me feeling even more alone, and even more afraid, and even more rejected than ever before.

And this went on long after the sexual abuse ended. And the trauma that I

experienced, caused me to have a lot of psychological issues as I was growing up,

because I always felt like something was broken and that my life was wasted.

But when I was a senior in high school, and first started to learn about God and

listen for his voice in my life, I began to understand that just like the

bottle of perfume in the story, I may have been broken, but I was still of

great value to God. My life wasn't wasted because God was turning my story into

something beautiful Him. And the more that I've leaned into

my faith over the years, the more I've experienced Jesus turning the broken

pieces of my childhood into a mosaic of his grace. Now this has come from a lot

of prayer, and counseling, and support, but I've experienced God rewrite my story by

allowing me to help other people who have faced similar trauma, abuse,

rejection, and pain. Perhaps all you need to know today is that you're not alone.

That there are other people who have experienced the pain that you've experienced.

And if God can change the direction of my life, then I believe He

can change yours too ... no matter what you've been through.
