Waching daily Jul 16 2018

Today I'm going to tell you the five things I love and the five things I hate

about living in Savannah, Georgia and we are starting right now.

Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel. I'm Karin Carr with Georgia Coast Homes

and Keller Williams in Savannah Georgia. If you are new here consider subscribing

to my channel by clicking that little bell notification down below because I

talk about a lot of really cool stuff related to Savannah and if you're gonna

be living here ,I'm sure you want to know about it. You may have seen a previous

video I did - I'll link to it right up here - called "Moving to Savannah - 10

reasons why you should." That video has had five thousand views. I can't even

wrap my head around it. And I've done no promotion of that video so you guys are

just finding it because you're googling it, which is so exciting to me!

So I love the fact that so many people are interested in moving to my little

neck of the woods. Well today I'm gonna talk about five

reasons I love living here... and five things I'm not so excited about by living

here. So let's get started. Let's start with the bad ones first. Number one - the

heat. There's no way to pussyfoot around this issue. July and August are

insanely hot, it's just how it is. Luckily there's this beautiful invention

called air conditioning! So everyone spends the time in their air-conditioned

house, they get in their air-conditioned car, they go to their air-conditioned

office, and the minute they get home from work they need to go to the pool or the

beach. So if it's only for two months of the year it's tolerable. Number two - the

humidity. My hair looks like this because I have not yet like left the

house. Once I go outside I will look like Roseanne Rosannadanna, so hair goes up in

a bun. Yes if you are someone whose hair does not love humidity you're going

to become very, very familiar with pulling your hair back in a ponytail or

a bun or hats. Again it's only during the real heat of the summer. I figure if it's

glorious the rest of the year I could tolerate it for a couple of months.

Number three - the bugs. We are in a subtropical climate which means we get

some pretty scary-looking bugs here. Gnats in particular... they are the tiniest

little flies. They're also called noseeums. You pretty much can barely see

them. They're barely visible to the naked eye but they

bite you like mosquitoes. They're not fun. Depending on what area you live in if

you are closer to the water you're gonna have a lot more gnats so you're gonna

have to load up on bug spray. There's something called No Natz that they sell

at all of the gas stations that is an all-natural spray. So get some No Natz,

get some bug spray, citronella, Avon Skin So Soft, anything

that's real good and stinky that can deter the bugs. We also have these things

that I like to call palmetto bugs. Essentially they are giant cockroaches.

They don't come in your house because your house is dirty, they just are here

because it's a hot hot humid climate. So if you live in Savannah most people

realize the need to have a pest control service and we have somebody come once

every three months, spray the outside of the house, and that does the trick. We don't

end up having palmetto bugs or spiders so yeah...

just something you got to deal with living in the south. Number four is

parking downtown. Oh it's hard to park downtown and nothing is free anymore. So

if you're lucky enough to find a parking spot at the curb, you always have to pay

for it unless it's on a Sunday. Sundays are free, or you have to go park in a

parking garage. Sometimes when you're gonna go out to dinner it can be a bit

of a challenge to find parking. There's a great app that you can download to your

phone where you can find a parking spot, pay for it on the app on your phone so

you don't have to carry quarters with you. And you don't have to pay with a

credit card at the meter itself. You just type all your information into the app

and you say, "I am in parking spot 12345," boom, here's 10 bucks. And then you're

done with it. And number 5 of the things that I don't love about living in

Savannah is the need for flood insurance. We live in a hurricane prone area. Not a

lot, it's not like living in New Orleans or the Gulf Coast of Florida, but

Savannah... we do get some hurricanes. We've only had a couple in the last 20 years

but when they come... So anybody who lives close to a body of water

may need to have additional flood insurance on their home. If you're going

to be moving to Savannah and you're buying a house or you're even renting a

house, I'm gonna link this down below. It's called Sagis.org. If you are

in Chatham County you put in the street address of the house that you are

considering and it will tell you which flood zone it is in. If it is in an

X zone it's ver,y very, very low risk. It does not require flood insurance. And if

you're buying a house in an A or a AE zone your lender is going to require

that you get flood insurance if you're getting a mortgage. So just something to

keep in mind if you're gonna be buying a house and it's in a flood zone. That's

going to be added on to the cost of your monthly mortgage payments so you kind of

have to adjust your budget accordingly. So now let's move on to the five things

that I love about living in Savannah. Number one has to be the architecture. I

love walking around downtown. These buildings are so old... I mean you're

walking around buildings that can be 200-300 years old on a

cobblestone street. They just have so much charm and so much architectural history

I love i.t I love to walk around downtown and see the squares and the trees that

are dripping with Spanish moss looking out over the river. It's pretty scenic

and it's just... it's gorgeous. Number two - Savannah is a very artsy town.

Because we have the Savannah College of Art and Design (also called SCAD) there

are a ton of students here. And they are art students so they are artsy. I like that

even though we are in the south, which is in general a fairly conservative area,

we've got this really artsy, cool, hip, fun downtown area thanks to all of the

college students. There are lots of events going on that are sponsored by

SCAD. There are festivals all the time, tons of great restaurants... it's just a

really cool place to go and hang out whether you're just coming down for

dinner or spending the day on Saturday. Or if you live downtown all the time.

Number three - I bet you thought this is gonna be number one didn't you?

The beach! I love the beach. I'm not gonna lie - I ride a mean boogie board. All the

kids are completely mortified by the fact that I'm out there showing them up

on my boogie board. But I love the beach and Tybee is only,

what, 15-20 minutes away from downtown? It's really easy to just say, "Hey let's

go to the beach for the day," hit the road, go over to Tybee Island, spend

the day either soaking up the sun or out surfing in the waves, leave everything on

the sand, and hit one of the restaurants to go get some lunch or go in all the

little knick-knacky shops and buy the touristy stuff like seashells and pails

and shovels and t-shirts and stuff. But I love living in a beach community that

doesn't cost an arm and a leg to go for the day.

Number four is seafood!o you already know that I am a huge huge huge lover of

shrimp and grits, low Country boil too - that's going to be a future video - oh my gosh, low

country boil!!! So we've got a million restaurants around that have killer

seafood. If you've never had the pleasure of trying Georgia white shrimp you need

to RIGHT NOW. And the number five reason that I love living in Savannah is it is

affordable. I've moved a lot in my life. I've lived in nine different states. I

have lived in New York and San Francisco, I've lived in Salt Lake City, I've lived

in Georgia, I've lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut... I've lived all

over the place so I've gotten to experience a lot of different areas over

the course of my life. What I love about Savannah is it's really affordable. You

are in a city so you're not in the middle of nowhere where you feel like

you don't have anything to do or you've got to drive for hours to go to the mall

because you need to buy a dress for your best friend's wedding. We are a city. It's

a small city and we've got more suburbs than city I would say, so there's a

really diverse living environment here. Do you want to live in a little cottage

by the ocean? Do you want to live in a brownstone downtown where

you can walk everywhere? Do you want to live in a big fancy gated community and

never have to deal with solicitors because they can't get into your

neighborhood? Do you want to live in the suburbs where you get a nice big backyard

and kids and dogs can run around and you feel safe letting your kids run up and

down the street because you're not worried that they're gonna get hit by

a car? We've got all these different areas in Savannah and they're all really

affordable. Even if you bought a mansion on the beach I guarantee you it's gonna

cost a lot less than it would in Fort Lauderdale or Miami or

San Diego, or any of these other places where it's just a total pipe dream. You

can buy a condo on Tybee that faces the ocean for probably two or three hundred

thousand dollars. It won't be a mansion, it won't be huge but it's definitely

affordable. So now you know all the reasons that I love Savannah and a few

things that are not perfect about Savannah but come on - every place has its

pros and cons. Are you thinking of moving to Savannah? If you click down below you

can head on over to my website and search for all of the homes that are

currently for sale in your own price range. I promise I'm not gonna bug you

and hound you. You just let me know if there's anything that I can assist you

with. Thank you so much for watching and we'll see you on the next one.

Visualize Money - Duration: 9:40.

(Music)

TERRI: Hey! It's Terri Savelle Foy, your cheerleader of dreams.

Hey, if you've never subscribed to this podcast, just push the

little red button down there to get consistent teaching tools

and tips, to help you live your dreams. You know, here I am

living a dream in Paris, France at a beautiful apartment, and I

wanna teach you the same thing. In fact today's Podcast is

called visualize money. I mean it sounds so blunt and so, just

there you go. But I just wanted to talk about this topic of

visualizing money, because did you know that God's the one who

said, "I wish above all things, that you prosper and be in

health, even as your soul prospers." Well, everything

begins on the inside before it ever shows up on the outside.

You know, God has given us two types of sight. Physical sight,

and spiritual sight. Physical sight is obviously what we see.

The gorgeous Eiffel Tower right there. But spiritual sight is

what you see on the inside, that people around you don't have a

clue what you're imagining. Well God wants you to use your eye of

faith, you're spiritual sight to visualize where you wanna go in

life. In fact, Napoleon Hill said, "If you do not see great

riches in your imagination, you'll never see them in your

bank balance." Well again, Albert Einstein said, "Your

imagination is everything." He said, "It's simply a preview of

life's coming attractions." Well, obviously successful

people talk about using the gift of the imagination and

visualizing where you wanna go. Bob Harrison used to say, "If

you wanna see more increase, you gotta see more increase." Where?

On the inside. Well, God's the one who came up with this. I've

shared in the past how when they were building the Tower of

Babel, ungodly people trying to build this structure to reach

heaven, and God's the one who said, "This is just the

beginning of what they will do." He said, "Now nothing they have

imagined they can do will be impossible for them." So, think

about that. Nothing you can imagine yourself doing will be

impossible for you. But you have to imagine it. So, you have to

imagine having a job that pays $100,000. Imagine paying

off your student loans. Imagine logging into your bank account

and moving $10,000 into your savings. Or paying off that

MasterCard, or that student loan. You've got to imagine it.

Visualize it on the inside, before it shows up on the

outside. In fact, one of my favorite stories I like to tell

is of Jack Canfield. Now Jack Canfield said that he grew up in

a very poor home. He said his mom died when he was young, his

dad was abusive, and he had a poor mentality. Well, he became

to be mentored by W. Clement Stone. Multi, multi-millionaire,

very successful man. W. Clement Stone was trying to change

Jack's mentality and his mindset. He said, "Jack, what I

want you to do is imagine a dream that's outside the realm

of possibility." He said, "What is that dream?" Jack said, "Well

at the time, I was making $25,000 a year, so a dream

that's just outside the realm of possibility would be to make

$100,000 in one year." So W. Clement Stone said, "Then

that's what I want you to wrap your faith around." So he said,

"I want you to see it on the inside. Imagine yourself being

handed $100,000. Imagine having a job that pays you $100,000."

And then he said, "I want you to write it down, and

keep that dream before your eyes." Well, Jack didn't know

what to do, so he said he enlarged a one dollar bill, and

he wrote $100,000. Then he said he taped it to the top of

his ceiling in his bedroom, so every night it was the last

thing he saw when he went to bed. Every morning that was the

first thing he saw when he woke up, was his dream. Well, and he

began using the power of words like the Bible says. "Call those

things that be not as though they are." So he started

speaking to that money, and saying,

"I declare that I'll receive $100,000."

Well, he said a couple of months went by,

nothing changed. Now, I always feel like I should repeat that

part, a couple months went by and nothing changed. In other

words, you feel like a fool. Talking to a fake $100,000

bill taped to your ceiling. Well, he said he just kept doing

it. One day he said he had this idea. Years ago when he was

trying to be successful and go for his dream, he said he had

written a book that did not sell. Felt like a complete

failure. He had 400,000 copies setting in a warehouse

just rotting away, and he had this idea. He said, "If I

were to sell those books for 25 cents each, I could make

$100,000," just had the idea. He said one day he's just going

about his life, and he goes to a grocery store, and he just

happened to glance over and see the National Enquirer. It's a

real classy piece of literature. He said, "I just had this

thought. If I could get an article in that magazine, I bet

I could sell my books and make $100,000." He went on with life,

speaking to his vision, speaking to that dream. All of a sudden,

he flies to the New York, he speaks at a university to a

class, about 60 people showed up, but he said, "I gave the

best speech I could." Well, at the end of the speech, this

woman walks up to him and she said, "I really enjoyed your

talk." She said, "In fact, I'd like to help you get other talks

out around the country." She said, "By the way, I'm a

freelance writer for the National Enquirer." Well, I'm

sure you guessed it. She published an article by Jack

Canfield in the Enquirer, and he said by the end of that year he

made $93,000. Well, some people say, "Jack, you didn't make

100." He said, "Well, I was a lot closer to the 100 that was

my vision than I was the 25 I used to make." He didn't take it

as it didn't work. Well, he said his wife came to him one day and

she said, "Jack, if this'll work for $100,000, do you think it

would work for a million?" He said, "Of course, it would." He

said, "I just added a zero, put it to the ceiling," and started

declaring that they attract million dollar ideas, "We

receive a million dollars," and they just kept declaring, kept

declaring. Well, all of a sudden, God gave Jack an idea to

write a little book called Chicken Soup for the Soul. I'm

sure you probably have a copy or you know someone who does. Well,

Jack Canfield wrote Chicken Soup for the Soul, and do you know

the publisher handed him a check for one million dollars. It was

the first one million dollars that publisher had ever written,

and it was to Jack Canfield. Now, I want you to think about

it. A guy went from making $25,000 a year to within three

years time being handed a check for a million dollars. Why?

Well, I like to say he gave himself permission to dream. He

used his imagination, and he just thought, "This is outside

the realm of possibility, but I'm going to go ahead and dream

it." He visualized being handed a million dollars. Well, you've

got to do the same thing. Not only that, he wrote the vision

down and he kept it before his eyes. I want to challenge you.

Do the same thing with whatever your dreams are. Like I said,

God's the one who said, "I wish above all things that you

prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers." Well, God

wants you so blessed that you can be a blessing. That's what

we're doing here in France. We're giving out. We're sowing

into churches. We're sowing into lives. We're giving books away

all over the streets. Well, God wants you to be a blessing. I

want to help you out. In fact, this month I'm giving you the

first chapter of my book, Imagine Big, absolutely free.

Now, all you have to do is click the link in the description to

get chapter one. You can just download it, and just get

started dreaming, thinking, imagining where you want to go.

I believe this'll help you. Take advantage of it, chapter one

absolutely free. If you're enjoying the podcast, be sure to

follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter so I can keep

you motivated to live your dreams. From Paris,

France, thank you for watching. Au revoir.

61 | Finally Sailing the Sailboat Shogun / Meeting Budva - Montenegro - Sailing Around the World - Duration: 16:38.

♫ Music ♫

In the last episode, we sailed for the first time with the new Shogun,

we had emotions at the anchorages in Kotor.

We returned to the marina to stock up on water and recharge our batteries,

then we left for Budva.

Only this time, we were sailing.

Budva lies off the bay, already in the Adriatic open sea.

But before showing how our week was in this paradise,

we would like to ask you to click the "like" button.

Our channel reached 13,000 subscribers and your click helps a lot to grow even more.

♫ Music ♫

And finally, it is always good to remember that this episode was only possible

thanks to the collective funding of our supporters.

If you also want to be a supporter, go to the link in the video description.

♫ Music ♫

Finally, we're sailing!

Because our first tour was windless.

Now we're going to Budva.

Loving to feel the noise of the sea, and see how the boat reacts to the sail.

♫ Music ♫

We're understanding the sail regulation, because it is a little different.

You have an electronic ratchet, you have to get out of here, you have to go there to regulate the master sail...

So ... I'm tired ...

But we'll understand right away, it will be effortless soon.

♫ Music ♫

Come on, guys! This boat isn't the most beautiful thing?

When sailing, you have no idea!

I wanted to have a drone image now, that we're still not pros in the drone, but ...

To see him out like that, sailing, must be too beautiful!

And this beauty can walk, you know?

♫ Music ♫

Betinho went there in the city.

Because our wind sensor is broken, it had to have three propellers and it's got only one.

I mean, it's kind of loose.

And we got one used for 120 euros.

Because a new one costs more or less twice than that, that would be 200 and a little.

I thought it was expensive, but we don't have any choice, we didn't find another.

We didn't find it in Croatia, so ... I hope it works out.

At least it's one less problem, that's how we're thinking.

Did it worked?

No?

The guy didn't find the other part?

Oh, I can't believe it!

Well, as you can see, it did not work.

Everything that we try to do here, they don't have it, nothing works, if the person says it's on stock, and suddenly it's not anymore

or later they charge us a lot of money...

♫ Music ♫

Well, we're getting here in Budva.

Budva is 24 miles from Kotor.

The trip was very smooth, we sail a little and then on the engine.

We are coming. It's almost 8:30 in the evening and the sunset is happening now.

And the city seems pretty cute.

We expected a good forecast to come here, because it's a little more open.

Not so windy. Let's get to know Budva now.

♫ Music ♫

We anchored close to other sailboats and also close to town.

When night came, we realized that it was not a good place there.

We could hear the loud sound of three nightclubs playing three different song styles.

It wasn't easy to sleep there.

The next day, we took the boat and paddled to a pier.

Where they informed us that we could not leave the boat there,

and they pointed us to the marina as the only place allowed.

♫ Music ♫

We pulled up anchor, and went closer to the marina and had a pleasant surprise.

Because of the breakwater of the marina, and greater distance from the speedboats,

the sea was quieter there.

We would rock less at night.

We came to the walled city of Remo and took a walk around.

♫ Music ♫

We stopped here at those docks that are for little, local boats.

We tied it there and it's quiet, it stays open until 10 o'clock in the evening.

The water here is wonderful. The water is very clear, very clear.

For now, the clearest water we've seen here in Montenegro.

The look is surreal.

But it's very crowded, very touristic.

♫ Music ♫

I did not bring a bikini ... Oops!

♫ Music ♫

I'm here enjoying the sunset.

Reading a book.

Betinho is talking to a friend of ours from Brazil.

Perfect day.

♫ Music ♫

Back in the boat, we spent another night at the club.

The next morning we went to supply the boat with diesel at the marina

and proceed to Sveti Nikola island, which is opposite Budva.

♫ Music ♫

We stopped near the island, swam around the boat and flew with the drone to explore.

♫ Music ♫

We came here on land, on the island of Sveti Nikola.

I don't know the pronunciation because it's kind of complicated, but reading is Sveti Nikola.

The city is back there, look, the city of Budva.

And the scenery is unbelievable, unbelievable, it is wonderful!

It's one of the tourist spots ... Biggest tourist spot, that's why we came here in the morning,

which is not very crowded.

Because all the boats that leave Budva, most of them come here.

♫ Music ♫

In here, like several places in Brazil, the bathroom is charged.

50 cents to use the bathroom.

But there are also showers outside.

The beach is really pretty, very beautiful!

Only thing that shocked me a little was that it has a lot of trash, a lot of plastic.

And I had not seen that much.

♫ Music ♫

Well, to get to the island it is possible to come only by boat, there are those boats that come from Budva and back.

It's three euros, they leave in several times.

All day, actually.

♫ Music ♫

We left there at lunch time, going to Bigova, a sheltered beach between Budva and Tivat.

The wind forecast was a bit late, but it arrived halfway and took us there in the sail.

♫ Music ♫

We arrived here in Bigova.

Oh, how nice, the day is so good, guys, you have no idea!

It's hot, but it's very good.

It was very good coming here.

Look how beautiful the sails are!

♫ Music ♫

The marina manager came to us and told us to get a poita.

Then I said, "We're going to stop with the anchor."

He said, "No, it's free."

Because the soil here isn't safe, it's made of stone.

And we took a look at the ground and how it's free, we ended up taking the poita.

That's the first time we saw this around here.

♫ Music ♫

Hey, buddy!

I found a friend here.

A naked Googlelino friend.

♫ Music ♫

Just when me and Betinho decide to go out, goal against... We are tense here in the restaurant.

Thankfully no one vibrated with the goal, because otherwise I would stick my hand in each one that vibrated.

After the game, everyone at the venue regretted the defeat with us.

We slept there and woke up with the boat swaying.

In places like this, it is normal for the sea to go in one direction and the wind to another.

Then the boat is swaying sideways and is not comfortable at all.

We are sailing here to the marina.

After all, we need to edit the video for you.

And then as we are without solar panel, we are going to the marina, where it has electricity.

We're up against the wind.

Sailing with four knots, three and a half knots.

And our goal is to go there, but now we're going here.

So then we can turn around, I'll show you.

Here is our current course.

But we are turning, because then we have to go in there.

It has five, six knots of wind.

And I think we'll can get there.

When I get through the 90 degrees of the boat here, I'm going to get in there.

It was another great experience with Shogun.

Winds between ten and fifteen knots.

We were boarding from the exit of Bigova to the middle of the bay of Kotor.

Even though we do not budget much, being very cautious,

the boat hit nine knots of speed, and it was teaching us how it behaves.

♫ Music ♫

We're entering the bay.

It's the whole region here in Montenegro.

It's a big bay and we're going with the wind against us, we've turned a lot.

And now it's going to be just one turn, then we'll pick up the wind from the stern, to get to the marina.

♫ Music ♫

It's coming!

Entering the bay, the wind stopped because of the mountains.

So we took advantage of the sailing with one knot or two to have some breakfast.

Hélio would be proud of us now.

Why? Breakfast?

We're having breakfast. Navigating with two knots.

- Fine... - The wind is weak.

We're here, two knots, so slowly ...

Having breakfast for free, if we had the motor turned on,

we were going to be paying for breakfast.

And with noise.

♫ Music ♫

We headed towards the marina. We were very close when the magic happened.

Wow...

Look, they are down here!

They are playing on the boat, how beautiful ...

♫ Music ♫

Look, the sailing started at seven in the morning, it's now half a day...

And if we hadn't been waiting for the wind, we would not have seen them.

And now the rain will tighten around here.

So we started the engine, because we are very near.

Only like 15 minutes more and we're at the marina.

We arrived at the marina and already started preparing for the next adventure, which you will see in the next video.

We left Montenegro going to Croatia.

It will be the first time we will go to another country by sailing and we will show you

how is the emigration procedure.

Ventrac Monday Morning Minute EP.04: The Power Bucket is Underrated! - Duration: 1:59.

Today on Monday Morning Minute, the topic is the power bucket-its underrated!

First we have some comments. Vanilla Spice says "it's a great tractor but it can't lift as high."

Bill says "Can't even do a high lift. Junk!!"

Bazteen tells us "picks it up okay, but can't lift it high enough to load

onto a wheelbarrow let alone a truck."

that's a great comment Bazteen because

it helps us realize that people don't really understand our power bucket.

We're gonna do our best to explain it to you.

The first and biggest misconception

people have is that the power bucket is not a loader. We don't intend it to be a

loader. If you need to lift high like a loader can we have a loader attachment

just buy that. The power bucket captures all the rest of the tasks that a loader

does aside from lifting high. If you're moving material from one place on the

ground to another place on the ground the power bucket will do it.

It will do it faster and more efficiently than most loaders will. It's more maneuverable

it's more compact it's easier to use and you can take it off the tractor in less

than a minute so you'll actually see people take it off the tractor we all

see that guy driving around mowing his yard with a compact tractor an

underbelly mower and his loader still on the machine. It's not a great way to do it.
