Three years ago was the first one. Back then you said that it was finally a
movie that your kids could be excited about. How do they feel now about the second one?
They feel at home, I mean it's a nice group. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly
had been so sweet to them and, and when they come down and to visit, it's a set that
they love, and to visit they feel, they just feel like, you know, like part of it's a,
and, and I must say this Ant-Man and the Wasp, this film in particular is sort of family
based film. Because it really is about Evangeline's character possibly finding
her mother again after she's been lost for thirty years. Our family reconciling
and coming back together, and it sort of anchors the the film in a, in a
good family environment before we get small.
And because we get to see Janice, we get to see the woman underneath the mask.
What was it like working with Michelle Pfeiffer in this film?
Well I've admired her for years you know, and was
everything I'd hoped for. She's great, she's professional. I don't think any,
either of us anticipated the joy of being able to act 40 years younger.
You also loved that in the first film.
Yeah, yeah, but just, it's kind of amazing. And this one starts right off in that direction.
So, she was great and for me sort of ties the whole story back together again and
who knows what the future holds.
I would be like can we do an entire movie from 30 years ago? That way the entire...
Well, yeah how about, how about an entire career? Start all over again. Re-do a lot of those old movies.
This is not a spoiler in the beginning of the film he is not
happy with Scotch because it immediately takes place after Civil War.
I'm just remember that's that's right he's, ah,
He took the suit, went to go fight with the Avengers and Hank is not happy with him. What else can you tell me?
What, about how unhappy he is with...Yeah...Well, I mean it goes back I think to the,
it goes back to the first one where, I mean this was not the guy that he planned to be his prodigy you know,
I mean, he was a cat burglar who was in the process, who stole my suit and I'm kind of, was stuck with him
and sometimes he doesn't show the the best decision-making processes.
By the end of the first film I thought okay they're cool now kind of father-son type
of relationship but in this movie I still felt like he's still not sure about Scott?
He's not, I don't think he is. Especially well now I'm looking out
for my daughter. You know I mean my daughter and there seemed to be some
interest going on there, and that's the last thing I'd like to see right now. I think she can do better.
I think that Paul Rudd's great though. I like them together.
He's wonderful, are you kidding, he's fantastic, he's, he's great and it's a wonderful
wonderful character. I'm just talking in terms of how we should be playing our roles.
I feel like you got to get into the action a little bit more in this film too.
Yeah, I mean, I get to put a suit on, you know.
I wonder if that was a spoiler?
I don't know, it seems, it's too late now. We said it.
It's there.
So yeah, ya know I had to, I too enjoyed it.
I must say I looked longingly at my suit in the first one and Paul looked so buff
and, and in good shape, which he is, so it was nice to have that chance in this one.
