How to Prevent Asteroids from Hitting Earth - Random Space Fact - Duration: 8:47.

Every day more than a hundred tons of dust and sand size material hits the

Earth's atmosphere. A hundred tons. It's that dust that causes the streaks

of light we call meteors. But there's bigger stuff out there

Asteroids and comets. The asteroids and comets that come near Earth's orbit we

call near-earth objects or NEOs. The good news is big asteroids do not hit Earth

very often but they do hit. In 2013 an asteroid about the size of a big house

exploded in the atmosphere above Chelyabinsk, Russia causing a shockwave

that shattered windows and injured more than a thousand people. In 1908, a 40

meter asteroid exploded in the atmosphere above Siberia it leveled part

of a forest trees were knocked down in an area 50% bigger than the city of Los

Angeles. 50,000 years ago a 50 meter asteroid hit what is now Arizona

it left a 1 kilometer hole in the ground. And of course 65 million years ago a

city sized asteroid hit what is now Mexico that impact led to the extinction

of 70% of all species on earth and the extinction of the ancient dinosaurs

so clearly asteroids do hit but they don't hit often and big ones don't hit

as often as small ones this is not a danger we need to lose sleep over but we

do need to do something about it it is the only large-scale natural disaster we

can prevent if we properly utilize our space programs

remember the dinosaurs didn't have a space program I mean, if they did

well they could have done something

the first step to preventing asteroid impact is to find the dangerous

asteroids we have to know what's out there we've found nearly 20,000

near-earth asteroids but they're predicted to be as many as a million

that could cause damage if they hit the earth so how do we find them

well ground and space telescopes watch the skies and they look for objects that

move relative to the background stars it's kind of like t-rex would have used

movement to distinguish prey from trees

an actual asteroid discovery looks something like this but discovering an

asteroid is not enough which brings us to step two which I'll talk about in our

next video

it's not enough to just know an asteroid is out there we have to track it to be

able to know if it's going to hit the earth for example here's a nice picture

of an asteroid beautiful it's music to my eyes okay okay it's just a dot but

then we take another picture and another and another and eventually the orbital

path begins to reveal itself only then can we predict its orbital path over the

next several decades compare it to Earth's orbit and figure out if the

asteroid is on a collision course with our planet it requires lots of

observations over days and weeks and months to determine if it's going to hit

Earth and to predict its orbit so that we don't lose it in the darkness of

space asteroids are big space rocks and much like rocks on earth they come in a

variety of sizes and shapes and compositions and densities ranging from

fluff balls loosely held together dust and rock all the way to solid metal

they also vary in their spin rate a length of their day. Characterizing

asteroids can also reveal if what originally looked like one asteroid is

actually two, a binary pair. Actual radar imaging of a binary asteroid pair looks

like this knowing all these characteristics of asteroids will be

crucial when we go to deflect them and that is the next step when a big

asteroid is found to be on a collision course with earth what do we do there

are two options we can break up the asteroid or we can deflect it deflecting

it means we change its orbit enough that it's going to miss earth as you can

imagine the more warning time we have the more options we have here are a few

ways we could use to deflect an asteroid the slow gravity tractor the gravity of

the actual spacecraft slowly pulls on the asteroid laser ablation which uses

spacecraft lasers to vaporize rock in order to change the course of the

asteroid and of course the mid-range kinetic impactor we slam one or more

spacecraft right into the asteroid to push it away asteroid deflection

techniques still need more study and work so they're ready to use when we

need them now there is a last resort option and obviously it would be

politically challenging but that's to use nuclear weapons to either break up

or deflect the asteroid no matter what technique ends up being the best fit to

whatever asteroid ends up coming many space agencies and nations around the

world are gonna have to work together to make all this happen defending the earth

is an international issue that requires international coordination here's why

observations need to be coordinated across the globe

any kind of deflection will need to be coordinated among spacefaring nations

the deflection mission will move the target point of the asteroid until it's

off the earth but that means that it's going to move across one country after

another along the way causing risk to those other countries that's one reason

why it's important to internationally educate about the asteroid threat and

that's at all levels from policymakers to disaster management agencies to the

general public and hey that's why we're making these videos so we all understand

the asteroid threat and its potential to be prevented if we work to take these

five steps find track characterize deflect coordinate and educate we can

prevent an asteroid impact in fact we are working on this NASA and The

Planetary Society agree on these five steps and are working with space

agencies around the world to prevent asteroid impact however more resources

are required and more needs to be done let's do it because we have a space

program the dinosaurs didn't

yeah you can't be too enthusiastic when it comes to mass destruction of the

earth I'm going to use that in the know-how text or recording or cube

Pharmacology - ANTIPSYCHOTICS (MADE EASY) - Duration: 8:13.

in this lecture we are going to cover pharmacology of antipsychotics

so antipsychotics are a class of drugs used primarily to treat psychotic

disorders such as schizophrenia mania due to bipolar disorder and severe

depression now in order to gain better understanding of mechanism of action of

antipsychotic drugs first we need to discuss the role of dopamine in the

development of psychosis so the monoamine neurotransmitter dopamine

plays a key role in the so called dopamine hypothesis which argues that

the unusual behavior and experiences associated with psychosis

can be largely explained by changes in dopamine function in the brain

now dopamine has four major pathways by which it affects the brain

number one the mesolimbic pathway which is thought to be hyperactive in

schizophrenia and to mediate positive symptoms of psychosis such as delusions

and hallucinations number two mesocortical pathway which is

thought to be under active in schizophrenia and thus mediate negative

psychotic symptoms such as loss of motivation and social withdrawal

number three the nigrostriatal pathway which is part of the extrapyramidal nervous

system and controls motor function and movement deficiency of dopamine in this

pathway can lead to dystonia and parkinsonian symptoms while excess of

dopamine can lead to hyperkinetic movements such as tics and dyskinesias

the last major pathway number four is the tuberoinfundibular pathway

which controls prolactin secretion specifically dopamine in this pathway

inhibits prolactin release and as a reminder prolactin is a hormone that

enables milk production and is also involved in the control of sexual desire

and regulation of immune system now within those different pathways dopamine

interacts with specific receptors that mediate functional effects of dopamine

there are five primary types of dopamine receptors known as D1 D2 D3 D4 and D5

out of the five D1 and D2 receptors are found in the highest

density in nearly all of the pathways involved in psychotic disorders however

D2 receptors are the most clinically relevant because they are the

main targets of antipsychotic drugs now antipsychotics can be grouped into older

first generation agents known as typicals and the newer second-generation

agents known as atypicals the first generation typical antipsychotics all

share the same main therapeutic goal that is to block D2 receptors

furthermore typical antipsychotics are not selective for any of the four

dopamine pathways and thus will block D2 receptors in almost all areas of the

brain this has positive as well as negative consequences so blockade of

dopamine receptors in the mesolimbic pathway reduces positive symptoms such

as delusions and hallucinations which is beneficial

however blockade of dopamine receptors in the mesocortical pathway that is

already underactive in schizophrenia may cause worsening of negative symptoms

and thus lead to diminished energy lack of motivation restrictions

in emotional and verbal expressiveness and social disengagement furthermore

blockade of dopamine receptors in the nigrostriatal pathway may lead to

extrapyramidal disorders tardive dyskinesia and parkinson's-like symptoms

such as tremors muscle rigidity and difficulty in starting and stopping

movements lastly blockade of dopamine receptors in the tuberoinfundibular

pathway may cause increase in blood prolactin levels which then may lead to

galactorrhea gynecomastia and sexual dysfunction now based on their affinity

for D2 receptors typical antipsychotics are often subclassified as high potency

or low potency the examples of high potency antipsychotics are Haloperidol

Fluphenazine Prochlorperazine and Trifluoperazine the example of low

potency antipsychotic is Chlorpromazine so

generally speaking the high potency agents produce stronger antipsychotic

effect at relatively low doses however they also tend to cause more

extrapyramidal side effects and greater increase in prolactin levels on the

other hand the less selective low potency agents do not bind to D2

receptor as tightly as the high potency agents and generally affect a range of

other receptors including alpha-adrenergic cholinergic and histamine

receptors this can result in a variety of side effects for example blockade of

alpha-adrenergic receptors can lead to orthostatic hypotension blockade of

muscarinic receptors can lead to anticholinergic symptoms such as dry

mouth blurred vision difficulty urinating and constipation and blockade

of H1-histamine receptors can lead to sedation and some weight gain now let's

move on to the second generation atypical antipsychotics in contrast to

typical antipsychotics that primarily block only D2 receptors atypical agents

appear to block both D2 receptors as well as serotonin receptors subtype 2A

because serotonin inhibits dopamine release agents that block serotonin

receptors may increase dopamine levels in brain areas that need it furthermore

atypicals occupy D2 receptors transiently and dissociate quickly

allowing for relatively normal dopamine neurotransmission this modest D2

receptor blockade in combination with serotonin receptor blockade is thought

to significantly lower the incidence of extrapyramidal side effects as well as

decrease negative symptoms and improve cognition compared to typical agents the

examples of atypical antipsychotics are Aripiprazole Clozapine Lurasidone

Olanzapine Quetiapine Risperidone and Ziprasidone

now in addition to dopamine and serotonin 2A receptor blockade atypical

antipsychotics also bind to many other targets including other subtypes of

serotonin receptors as well as histamine alpha-adrenergic and muscarinic receptors as a

result the side-effects of second-generation agents can vary

depending on the drug's receptor binding profile so for example atypical

antipsychotics that have strong affinity for serotonin receptors subtype 2C

such as Clozapine and Olanzapine may cause metabolic side effects including

weight gain hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia agents that have strong

affinity for H1 receptors such as Clozapine Olanzapine and Quetiapine

may cause sedation and may also contribute to weight gain agents that

have significant affinity for alpha-1-adrenergic receptors such as Clozapine

and Risperidone may cause orthostatic hypotension in addition to that out of

all second-generation agents Risperidone seems to have the strongest affinity for

D2 receptors and because of that it has the highest potential to induce

extrapyramidal side effects and hyperprolactinemia lastly Clozapine is

the only antipsychotic that can cause serious condition called agranulocytosis

that occurs when the bone marrow does not produce enough white blood

cells called granulocytes because this condition can be fatal periodic blood

cell counts must be performed to ensure patient safety and with that I wanted to

Building a Drying Rack for Vegetables - The Project List - Our Wyoming Life - Duration: 10:52.

Hi I'm Mike.

Although its haying season here on the ranch, we still are at the mercy of the weather and

a half of inch of rain that fell last night has stalled out haying for another day, the

grass is too wet to cut this morning but we can't waste anytime and we always keep projects

in our back pocket for days just like today.

Today we get to build a new drying rack for Erins vegetables and hopefully surprise her

and gain some brownie points on the project list.

On our Wyoming life.

Thanks for joining us in our Wyoming life.

Please subscribe and come along with us as we explore the ranch life and escape the ordinary.

In a perfect world, today I would be out here, working on haying.

Cutting, raking and baling.

Stockpiling the hay that will be the cows feed for the winter.

But rain overnight has created a delay in that process.

Cutting wet grass will clog our mower and will dull sickle blades so this morning we

are going to let it dry naturally for a few hours, and while we wait for that to happen

we are going to head into the shop and work on a project that I have had in my mind for

a few months, one to surprise Erin with and hopefully make her life a bit easier when

it comes time to wash vegetables for farmers market.

Erin harvests tons of vegetables each year from the gardens and high tunnels and takes

all of that to our local farmers market to sell to our local customers.

Its part of the diversification of the ranch, we cant count on cows alone to support the

operation and everything we do, from farmers market, vegetables, beef and pork to youtube

is part of that diversification.

As we grow, time becomes more and more important.

They always say land is very important because they aren't making anymore of it, we for

me the same goes for time.

There are only 24 hours in a day, you have to sleep sometime, you have to spend time

with your family and anything we can do to make work go faster is worth it.

Everything Erin harvests from the gardens needs to be washed, after it is washed it

is usually placed on a table to dry until it is refrigerated in preparation to take

to market I call anything that takes time that could

be spent better a time sucker and drying vegetables seems to fall into that category, it can slow

the process down but we have a solution.

Bassically what we are going to be building is a table.

That table will have two levels to it.

An upper level that is going to house two fans that will blow straight down, below that

will be a level with a mesh grate or screen that the vegetables can rest on while they

are drying and the water will drain through.

We will add some casters to make sure the thing is easy to move around and we will be

done.

A quick and simple build, for which I have neither the fans, lumber or casters for.

So that calls for a trip to town, and a 20 minute drive to home depot.

This whole project is just in my head, I haven't done any research online about what kind of

fans to use or how to build it.

In hindsight, that might have been a good thing to do but we are committed now so lets

just see what we come up with.

First things first we need the fans, the size and shape will dictate the rest of the rack

and luckily these 20 inch fans are on sale, along with the fans we will need a switch

to turn them off and on and a small powerstrip should work just fine for that.

When it comes to casters, I'm not quite sure how much this thing will weigh but its

only going to be rolling around on concrete in the shop, so 2 inch casters will be perfect.

Elsewhere we find our grate to use on the vegetable level, and then we just need lumber.

A majority of this framework will be built out of 2x4s, so we will grab a few of them.

Any extras will be used around the ranch eventually so I'm not afraid to grab more than I need.

With around 100$ spent and everything loaded up, we can head back home.

Where hopefully the grass is drying nicely and were able to get into the field this afternoon,

but not until we get this thing built and working.

The size of this thing is going to be based of the size of these fans, now that I look

at it, I should have gotten three and made a bit bigger table but that's ok.

We will call this a proof of concept and make sure it works.

After getting some measurements a majority of the work on this rack will be done on the

saw, cutting boards to length and then screwing them together to make the frame for the fans.

They are going to be held in place by making a shelf using 1x4 material, cut and placed

around the frame.

With the fans in place, we now build the lower shelf for the veggies to rest on, basically

the same way.

I never said this was going to be complicated but here we sometimes have to worry about

function long before we worry about form.

The metal screen, used because it can be sanitized, is going to be held in place using screws

and washers The excess is cut off.

Figuring out how tall to make the table is a bit of a trick but we are going to go for

about a 40 inch table top, making it easy to not only load but unload once the veggies

are dry.

Our legs are cut, and screwed into place.

Then we can stand it up.

To make sure everything stays square I'm going to add supports on the bottom and then

its time for caster wheels to go in place.

Electrical is next and I don't know about you but I hate attaching power strips to wood,

they always have those few holes in the back that you have to get lined up perfect, therefore,

I am a fan of Velcro for these types of applications.

And there we go, the powerstrip is on.

Up out of the way of any moisture and easy to get to.

After a quick test, everything seems to work and we can get the surprise ready for Erin.

I have been working hard to keep her out of the shop this morning and a sheet should make

for a nice reveal.

Now get Erin over here.

With that done, we move on to our task that is really pressing on us and that is haying.

I'll hopefully be in the tractor for weeks to come to get it all done.

We hope that you continue along with us in this adventure.

Please subscribe and come along for the ride as we continue to explore the ranch life and

escape the ordinary.

I want to invite you come and join us on Thursday for our bi weekly live stream.

Erin and I will get a chance to sit down with you and hang out for a while.

Getting you some behind the scenes footage as well a chance to get your questions answered

in real time.

Its a lot of fun and I do hope you can join us Thursday at 7pm mountain time.

Thanks so much for hanging out with me today but now its time for me to go.

We will see each other again soon though, until then have a great week and thanks for

joining us in our Wyoming life.

- Tiffany Nicole here

and we're at the biggest beauty expo of the year,

Beautycon LA.

We're talking hair, makeup,

and we're getting the inside scoop

from your favorite celebs,

influencers, and beauty enthusiasts.

Let's check it out.

(upbeat music)

If you had to give up one of these

for the rest of your life which would it be,

fake hair or fake lashes?

- Ooh.

Probably fake hair.

- [Tiffany] Really?

- Yes, 'cause I'm pretty but I got pretty hair

underneath all this.

I could just wear my hair and curl it up.

Lashes make you just pretty all the time.

You know?

I could be a cute bald-headed little, you know?

I don't need hair.

I got mug.

- I would say fake lashes

'cause y'all don't want to see what's up under this.

Girl, I look like a bald eagle under here.

- Which one you giving up?

- Fake hair for sure.

- Really?

- I'm keeping the lashes, I'm keeping the lashes.

- That's easy, fake lashes.

- Oh, really?

- You know, there was actually a time

where I never used to wear falsies, never.

- I'd give up fake hair 'cause I look like

a bird without my lashes, and you know,

I got real hair, that's what they don't know.

(upbeat music)

- [Tiffany] What's the biggest beauty mistake

you've ever made?

- Oh, maybe I bought this one

green lipstick and I tried it on

and it was not, not, not working for me.

That was a mistake.

- I started penciling my eyebrows with black eyeliners.

I don't know why I did that.

- Over processing.

- Super matte and drying out my skin

because I have oily skin,

so I thought I had to dry it out even more.

It just made me look worse.

- Contouring my nose wrong and making it look bigger

than what it already is.

- What's the last thing you searched on Google?

- Um, can I say it?

- [Tiffany] You can say whatever you want.

- Booty hole.

(laughs)

- I think maybe like a Birkin.

(laughs)

- Actually, one of my buttons on here came off.

So I had to find a little tailor.

I mean, nothing that interesting, yeah.

- I can't say that here.

It was kinda freaky.

(upbeat music)

- [Tiffany] On average,

how much do you think you spend

on beauty products every month?

- You know what?

I'm gonna be honest.

Not too much because my fans are so amazing

that I have a PO box and they send me all

the makeup that I need.

- [Tiffany] If you could only use three

beauty products for the rest of your life,

what would they be?

Just three.

- Mascara,

lip gloss, just a clear, plain lip gloss,

and

make, like you know the highlighter drops,

not the highlighter but like the dewy drops,

so I could just have a little glow.

- Holding spray for sure,

serum,

and a

amazing deep conditioner.

- A red lip,

an eyebrow brush,

and

a lip gloss.

- Got to be glue, of course,

'cause I could use that for multiple things.

I could use that to put my hair up.

I use it to put my wig on.

Definitely a flat iron

of some sort, any flat iron would be fine,

and then, like,

foundation.

(laughs)

(upbeat music)

- [Tiffany] What's the craziest beauty secret

anybody's every revealed to you?

- Oh God.

Okay, somebody told me to put hemorrhoid cream

underneath their eyes because the swelling goes down.

- Very famous, very popular person pulled out some tape

and told me to put it behind their eyes

and then cover their hair.

They had like a false

facelift and I was like holy.

That was probably one of the things that I never knew about,

and I did a lot of drag queens.

I did a lot of things like that,

but when I saw a real woman do it, I was just like oh.

- [Tiffany] Have you ever tried it yourself?

- No, I don't need to do that.

(upbeat music)

- Why would you want to be on a yacht

when you could be here at Beautycon obviously?

- That's all there needs to be said, all right?

Y'all heard what she said.

- Hear it.

I'm all about Black,

Black is crack,

and no, crack ain't whack whenever it's Black.

spicy paste for

this pork stew.

(mixing sound)

This paste will make

this stew very delicious.

Now these two vegetables!

Onion, and potato.

Four ounces of potato, just to give

a little thickness.

(chopping)

Chunks.

And, onions. I use a lot of onions

because I don't use sugar,

onion will make it sweet.

(onion chopping)

Chunks.

Potato and onion is ready.

This is pork belly.

Pork belly, one pound,

I pre-measured.

(rustling of butcher paper)

a quarter inch thick.

Cut into bite size pieces.

When I make stew I always use rind.

Because rind is very tasty.

This has to be a little fatty,

Three layers are

nicely layered.

So you have to find this

kind of pork belly.

You can also use pork shoulder.

Pork shoulder is also good.

You know what I mean,

when I wear my glove!

I'm ready to mix this!

So this pork,

I'm going to add to vegetables.

And this,

Let's use as much as we can.

Then, use your hand

just mix.

This is very important process.

Kind of a little marinate it.

Pork and all vegetable,

garlic, ginger, all flavors are

mingle together I always marinate first.

(mixing sounds)

Sesame oil smells good!

(mixing food)

I'm going to let it sit for 10 minutes.

10 minutes have passed,

I'll add water,

Three and a half cups.

Fish sauce, one tablespoon.

And one teaspoon salt.

And stir.

This broth will be very tasty

and nice!

(gas turned on)

Turn on the heat,

medium high heat

and then I'm going to make my rice too!

(clarinet slow jazz music)

Soon, it will be 25 minutes,

I'm going to prepare this.

Three green onions,

and one green chili pepper,

this green chili pepper

is very important.

Its flavor will enhance the taste.

Don't skip it!

And, tofu.

Just a half, I'll use.

It's around eight ounces.

Just cut.

(chopping)

And cut the green onion.

(chopping)

(timer goes off)

You heard the sound, right?

Green chili pepper.

(chopping)

What's going on?

Yay!

Look at that!

All well cooked,

25 minutes over medium high heat.

Tofu in.

Green onion and green chili pepper.

And cover.

And then, another five minutes.

Five minutes just so we keep cooking.

This is my Gaji-namul, egg plant side dish.

I'm preparing my lunch.

And, sesame seeds.

Yummy smells!

(timer rings)

Looks so yummy!

You can serve this pot on the table,

just like this

and when you eat it,

always prepare individual bowls,

and ladle.

And, my rice!

I made this rice with black beans.

That's it! This is my lunch!

And also your lunch!

You guys can make it,

just follow this recipe

and just make this kind of

nice nice meal.

Let me taste!

Let's taste pork.

Very nice!

Wow, this broth is really really tasty,

savory, perfect sweetness

from the onion,

soup is so good.

We say "si-won-hada!".

This means in English, cold.

This can't be cold

This is a hot, and temperature is hot,

but we Koreans say, "si-won-hada.'

Cool, it goes through my whole body,

It feels very refreshing.

Steamed eggplant,

The recipe is already on my website.

Delicious!

This is sliced fish cake,

and this time I stir-fried

with Korean hot pepper flakes

and also a little bit of water,

so it's a little moist.

Oh my gosh, so delicious!

You'll love it.

Today we made spicy pork stew,

dwaejigogi-jjigae,

Enjoy my recipe,

see you next time!

Bye!

0:00:37.829,0:00:41.040 don't forget to subscribed without

0:00:39.450,0:00:42.660 further adieu let's just jump right into

0:00:41.040,0:00:44.430 this so first we're gonna be talking

0:00:42.660,0:00:46.200 about the ambient challenges in Red Dead

0:00:44.430,0:00:48.270 Redemption Red Dead Redemption featured

0:00:46.200,0:00:50.250 for ambient challenges which were side

0:00:48.270,0:00:52.050 quests with 10 levels of increasing

0:00:50.250,0:00:54.329 difficulty that were required in order

0:00:52.050,0:00:56.070 to achieve 100% completion and obtained

0:00:54.329,0:00:58.050 the legend of the West outfit for

0:00:56.070,0:00:59.609 Marston to dawn hunting rare animals

0:00:58.050,0:01:01.410 following treasure maps picking flowers

0:00:59.609,0:01:03.059 and mastering your marksmanship were

0:01:01.410,0:01:05.070 welcome distractions that beefed up the

0:01:03.059,0:01:06.689 core game and knowing rockstars penchant

0:01:05.070,0:01:08.790 for side quests we're likely to see the

0:01:06.689,0:01:10.409 return of ambient challenges in Red Dead

0:01:08.790,0:01:12.150 Redemption 2 while we only have the

0:01:10.409,0:01:14.070 three trailers and some screenshots to

0:01:12.150,0:01:15.479 go on we also have our imagination so

0:01:14.070,0:01:16.860 here are some of the challenges that I

0:01:15.479,0:01:18.869 would like to see in Red Dead Redemption

0:01:16.860,0:01:20.520 2 these are just my own names that I'm

0:01:18.869,0:01:22.110 talking about in this video but let me

0:01:20.520,0:01:23.790 know down in the comments your own type

0:01:22.110,0:01:25.200 of custom challenge that you guys can

0:01:23.790,0:01:26.549 come up with that you guys would want to

0:01:25.200,0:01:27.479 see and Red Dead Redemption - I'd love

0:01:26.549,0:01:29.400 to know you guys thoughts and opinions

0:01:27.479,0:01:31.320 down in the comments section below so

0:01:29.400,0:01:32.970 first up we have more horsing around

0:01:31.320,0:01:34.470 where you could upgrade your horse in

0:01:32.970,0:01:36.750 Red Dead Redemption - by taming wild

0:01:34.470,0:01:38.460 horses and buying deeds but I also like

0:01:36.750,0:01:40.140 to see a more rewarding approach to

0:01:38.460,0:01:41.640 riding your hoofed companion maybe we

0:01:40.140,0:01:43.530 could see rodeos that require our

0:01:41.640,0:01:45.570 stallion to pass through obstacle

0:01:43.530,0:01:47.280 courses unlocking new maneuvers for our

0:01:45.570,0:01:49.170 horse to perform and completing horse

0:01:47.280,0:01:51.030 specific challenges would naturally lead

0:01:49.170,0:01:52.710 to a stallion with enhanced stamina and

0:01:51.030,0:01:55.320 mobility which would be just like the

0:01:52.710,0:01:56.490 perfect Mustang of the Wild West so

0:01:55.320,0:01:58.560 that's the first challenge I'd like to

0:01:56.490,0:02:00.210 see the second one is tippecanoe we saw

0:01:58.560,0:02:01.979 a glimpse of a canoe skirting across a

0:02:00.210,0:02:03.689 misty lake in a Red Dead Redemption -

0:02:01.979,0:02:05.490 trailer which led me to imagine a

0:02:03.689,0:02:07.439 variety of fishing and racing challenges

0:02:05.490,0:02:09.030 and races could lead to stronger canoes

0:02:07.439,0:02:11.009 which in turn will allow you to access

0:02:09.030,0:02:12.420 more turbulent rivers and surely

0:02:11.009,0:02:13.340 there'll be a treasure hunt along the

0:02:12.420,0:02:15.140 way that requires

0:02:13.340,0:02:16.819 sturdiest of our canoes to reach the

0:02:15.140,0:02:18.830 third challenge I'd like to see in Red

0:02:16.819,0:02:21.080 Dead Redemption to is camping survival

0:02:18.830,0:02:22.760 and kumbaya camping seems to be super

0:02:21.080,0:02:24.950 important with our dr2 they already have

0:02:22.760,0:02:26.660 a different camp theme available in one

0:02:24.950,0:02:28.580 of the special edition pre-order bonuses

0:02:26.660,0:02:30.080 so camping is a possible way to save our

0:02:28.580,0:02:31.879 experience while bonding with members of

0:02:30.080,0:02:34.580 our gang which kind of isn't unlike

0:02:31.879,0:02:36.379 Final Fantasy 15 whether it's obtaining

0:02:34.580,0:02:38.150 new quests at a campfire fending off

0:02:36.379,0:02:40.069 would-be bandits or just cooking up the

0:02:38.150,0:02:41.330 best batch of beans I'm hoping that

0:02:40.069,0:02:43.250 surviving in the Wild West is

0:02:41.330,0:02:44.810 challenging and rewarding the fourth

0:02:43.250,0:02:46.670 challenge that I'd like to see in Red

0:02:44.810,0:02:48.620 Dead Redemption 2 is Red Dead harvest

0:02:46.670,0:02:50.180 moon will a mini stardew valley be

0:02:48.620,0:02:51.680 tucked away in rock stars next epoch

0:02:50.180,0:02:53.720 well we don't expect a dating simulator

0:02:51.680,0:02:55.310 to be included in Red Dead Redemption 2

0:02:53.720,0:02:56.569 I would like to see a little farm

0:02:55.310,0:02:58.459 management thrown into the mix

0:02:56.569,0:03:00.410 harvesting the best crops could be a

0:02:58.459,0:03:02.329 relaxing way to make money earn rare

0:03:00.410,0:03:04.400 crafting supplies and build up our gang

0:03:02.329,0:03:06.140 stronghold also in online that would be

0:03:04.400,0:03:07.940 a perfect challenge as well last but not

0:03:06.140,0:03:09.709 least the fifth challenge that I wish

0:03:07.940,0:03:11.510 Red Dead Redemption 2 would feature is

0:03:09.709,0:03:13.069 crazy train so it's more than likely

0:03:11.510,0:03:14.690 that Red Dead Redemption 2 is gonna

0:03:13.069,0:03:16.940 feature one of the largest Maps we've

0:03:14.690,0:03:18.380 ever seen in any of Rockstar titles I

0:03:16.940,0:03:20.150 don't think it will be as big as Grand

0:03:18.380,0:03:22.880 Theft Auto 5 but that is just because we

0:03:20.150,0:03:24.799 have cars jets bikes all that type of

0:03:22.880,0:03:26.750 stuff in Red Dead Redemption - we just

0:03:24.799,0:03:28.519 have horses and trains and things like

0:03:26.750,0:03:30.049 that so Red Dead Redemption - is going

0:03:28.519,0:03:32.389 to be bigger than Red Dead Redemption 1

0:03:30.049,0:03:33.620 but smaller than GTA 5 either way we

0:03:32.389,0:03:35.329 know that there's a train to help

0:03:33.620,0:03:37.010 shuttle us across the country and so

0:03:35.329,0:03:38.510 likely multiple train depots with

0:03:37.010,0:03:40.040 passengers boarding and departing will

0:03:38.510,0:03:41.780 be featured in the game as well and I'm

0:03:40.040,0:03:43.250 hoping that we can take the conductor's

0:03:41.780,0:03:44.690 seat and perform train related

0:03:43.250,0:03:47.090 challenges like transporting passengers

0:03:44.690,0:03:48.889 and valuables all while soaking up the

0:03:47.090,0:03:50.389 scenery in Red Dead Redemption - so

0:03:48.889,0:03:52.790 hopefully there will be a wide array of

0:03:50.389,0:03:54.169 fun and rewarding challenges to perform

0:03:52.790,0:03:55.669 throughout Red Dead Redemption - and I

0:03:54.169,0:03:57.560 love to know down in the comments what

0:03:55.669,0:03:59.359 types of quests challenges and rewards

0:03:57.560,0:04:00.500 what do you like to see that wraps up

0:03:59.359,0:04:02.120 when I want to talk about in today's

0:04:00.500,0:04:03.290 video thank you so much for watching and

0:04:02.120,0:04:04.579 thank you so much for all the support

0:04:03.290,0:04:06.440 and welcome to all the new subscribers

We Tried Doing Our Makeup Using Silicone Makeup Brushes | Crash Test Beauties - Duration: 7:12.

- This is not for your bra by the way.

(laughs)

- Hey guys, welcome to Crash Test Beauties, I'm Kim.

- I'm Karen.

- And today we're going to be trying out

these silicone makeup brushes.

- So we've all watched these videos reviewing

the Silly Sponge versus the Beauty Blender,

I don't know what team you're on

but I personally find it really annoying

that I have to wet the Beauty Blender each time

and I don't enjoy cleaning it either

so we're really excited to try these out,

these are 100% silicone so they don't absorb any product

so you're not wasting any of your $50, $60, $40, $10

foundation and they're easier to clean.

- So what I use to apply my makeup

usually is a Beauty Blender.

- I use a Beauty Blender too because it's versatile

and it's easy I think, to use,

and for my my eyeshadow I use a big blending brush.

- But with eyeshadow I apply it with a variety of brushes.

- So we bought this set online,

it was $11.99 which is way cheaper than any one brush

that I've ever owned and more than 50% of the reviews

gave it five stars so we've pretty high hopes for this.

Alright, let's try it.

- Let's do this.

- Now we're gonna apply primer to start

and usually I do primer with just my hands

but for the sake of today,

we're gonna test it out using these brushes.

- When I use my primer, I usually use my hands to use it

so I'm not using a brush

so I don't feel like I'm wasting product.

- Yeah I thought I'd put a little bit of primer on my hand

but once I put on my face with this brush,

it became a lot more than I thought it was gonna be.

- I'm not rubbing it in, I'm like dabbing it,

and it looks like it's absorbing.

- Yeah.

- Which is kind of surprising.

- This is fun, it feels nice. (laughs)

- I like the feeling of my fingers pushing in the product

and so this just feels like I'm slapping silicone.

So I'm gonna use the foundation but apply it with the brush

and then try to blend with this thing.

- [Girl] Okay.

- Oh, I know, I'm gonna try this.

- Oh, oh my God.

- Right, is that's not working let's try this.

- God, you with your genius ideas.

It's not painful but it's not like a pleasant feel.

- Oh, you're being a baby.

- Ahh.

This really is turning out

much better than I expected to be honest.

- It looks good.

- And it's taking a lot longer,

I would rather waste product than time I think.

- Alright so I'm gonna use this one now, its a smaller brush

and I'm gonna try to use it to get into the smaller areas

like under my eyes and right where my nose meets my face.

- I do like this applied concealer under my eye.

I didn't hate that, did not hate the concealer portion.

- I'm gonna start on my brows.

- They look too bad, no?

- Probably out of all the brushes we've used so far,

this one has been the best experience.

- I'm not loving this,

I feel like it's moving the pomade around.

- Yeah it kind of gets stuck on one,

like mine was stuck on one side.

- Oh yeah, no, I'm fine.

- I'm just gonna cut my loses where I'm at with the brows.

- Yeah, I think this is truly as good as it's gonna get.

- We're using an eyeshadow by the Balm

for our transition shade

so we're just gonna lay this down as a base.

I feel like my eyeshadow got blended really well.

- I think this brush didn't do too bad,

it packed on the color pretty well, blending was okay,

surprisingly well for what it is though.

- This is really nice.

I'm not 100% disappointed with this.

- Now we're gonna use, I think, these two guys,

so contour and blush.

- So because this is a contour stick,

I'm just gonna go ahead and oops, put it on.

- Wait on three, ready, go.

- ASMR.

- I actually really like how this blended out,

I think these brushes, the efficiency and effectiveness

of them is highly dependent

on the consistency of the product that you're using.

I mean, aside from pigments, I feel like pigments were good.

- Oh yeah, pigments.

- Like a waxy product or a powder product,

you may run into some issues.

- So the creamier, silkier, the easier it sort of goes on

but sort of a tackier or drier the product is,

the more its gonna start to stick to places in your face

and its not gonna be as smooth.

- Oh, rule of thumb,

don't poke your eyeball with this stuff.

- I'm gonna be using that angle brush we used earlier

for our eyebrows and we'll see how it goes with eyeliner.

It seems like it's all sticking on the brush,

like its not really coming off well.

- Putting it on your actual eye,

its kind of tugging and like coming out a little clumpy.

So now we're gonna move on to our lips.

- It's working great to outline.

I like that you can get really precise with this.

- It's just kind of hard to use this brush

with this kind of a product but I feel like

with Katie's lipstick it's probably a lot easier.

- I really like how precise this brush is.

- So I was very pleasantly surprised,

I don't know know about you but I kind of went into it like,

they're not gonna work.

- I had such high hopes but I think just given

the types of products that I use,

that there's a mixture of liquid and powder and the stick,

it's just not blending the three consistencies

as nicely as I wanted it to.

- I think these are sanitary and they're easy to clean

which is my favorite part about them.

Everything else, it took longer, it was hard to blend,

I don't think my makeup turned out as good

as it usually does so I was not super impressed with them

but I could see for particular products

like creams and like these pigments,

they're super good for though.

- I think the worst thing, for me,

was when you tried and layer another product on top of it,

the brush would pick up the past product.

My favorite was probably the little detail brush though

and I would use that again.

- I personally would not convert

to the silicone makeup brushes.

I'm pretty happy with my routine

and yes it does probably take more product

but it takes less time

and the end result is a lot prettier I think.

- I don't think I would convert my entire routine

to silicone makeup brushes

but I wouldn't mind buying a few of them.

- This set was $11.99, that's 12 bucks,

that's like cheaper than most brushes so, you know,

if you get three products that work for you out of this

then I feel like you kind of scored

so let us know in the comments if you guys are gonna try

these brushes out and then let us know

what you want to see us try next.

- Thank you guys so much

for watching us try out these silicone makeup brushes.

Bye!
