what you guys just saw was Saturday and today is Monday and I just finished
filming this look for you guys this is actually a full face of wet and wild
makeup I'm so excited to finally do it I'm gonna sit down I got my favorite
favorite ultimate fave selfie lighting in front of me for those of you who are
subscribed to my app I actually did an entire post on all my favorite like tech
equipment so like cameras vlogging sticks lighting everything and I
mentioned this guy on there I'm like I'm obsessed with it's the best lighting
ever anyways I figured I would come on here and kind of like end the vlog
because I never ended up vlogging the rest of the day on Saturday and I'll
tell you guys what happened on Saturday Saturday was crazy you guys like oh my
god in the beginning of it like it just wasn't what we expected
not that I mean how do I put this not that we didn't as you guys saw it was
beautiful we went to Bruce Peninsula it was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful
but the it just wasn't what we expected obviously the water was amazingly
beautiful you guys saw it and the rocks everything was beautiful but it wasn't
what we expected it was very wilderness II so we drove three hours away and it's
literally in the middle of nowhere like the middle of nowhere there's not that
many workers so you'll see like one or two people who actually work there that
can help you get around like literally every few hours like I'm not kidding you
barely see anybody so it's like the middle of nowhere it's the wilderness
you kind of go out there and take care of things by yourself and we it was like
our first time going there so we didn't know what we were doing we were kind of
like lost and confused half the time but anyways what I mean is it's literally in
the middle of nowhere to get to where you needed to go was a mission there's
like different hiking trails that you can take so we knew I kind of googled a
little bit about the area and like what I was to expect and I knew that you
would have to like like up to where you needed to go you
can't just drive to the water and like park and go you have to drive park and
hike so I was like I'm totally fine with that you guys know I love hiking I go
hiking all the time so we're like okay cool so we hiked up to that lake and it
was breathtakingly beautiful but after that there's something called the grotto
what the grotto is like the main attraction that people booked months in
advance to see the people who booked mint months in advance they have a
parking spot that's close to the grotto that they can only have to walk like 20
minutes or so to it so that's obviously good but we didn't booked months in
advance we didn't really know so we heard from everyone else that you can
hike up to the grotto but it takes like an hour and a half so we're like oh
that's kind of like a hike but you know what else we just got here all we saw
was that specific part and we weren't just gonna get in our car and leave
after only seeing one part of the lake you know what I mean because we drove
three hours away so we're like we're not just gonna go home like let's go do more
so we're like we might as well just hike up and go see the grotto like that's
what we came here for let's check it out cuz they said the grotto is
breathtakingly beautiful which it is it's so beautiful there's like a little
cave with all the rocks and I didn't even know anything like that existed in
Canada like where have I been living under one of those rocks cuz I didn't
even know so we just didn't think it was gonna be that that bad yeah so whoever
told us it was an hour and a half lied like you guys it was a three-hour
hike and it wasn't a normal hike like if you think I'm just talking about just a
straight walk it's not it wasn't it was like holding on to trees climbing down
low there was rocks in the middle of the woods that were literally like this high
and we needed to get back down over here and we had to like rock climb down them
and rock climb up with them sometimes like I don't even know how to explain it
to guys but just know it was one hell of a hike like there were times where I was
like how the heck am I going to get down there like how am I gonna get down there
so I literally had to like hold onto the tree to get some leverage and I had to
like go down low and climb the rocks and put my foot inside of a rock
to grab on to another one and it was it was one hell of a hike and we did that
for three hours and we did not know like literally an hour into the hike we're
like are we are we close to where we gotta go cuz we were oh my god my feet
were numb at this point felt like we could never get there and I'm not
kidding you guys we've all really contemplated like an hour and a half in
we're like what like what are we doing here I wish it like maybe as I'm saying
this story it might sound dramatic to you guys but just imagine in your head
what it was like rock climbing all those things and holding onto these trees and
climbing up these like hiking up in these woods like just imagine what it
was like for three hours and we're like we can't turn back now what a waste of
time because we actually heard from the other people once you get up to the
grotto you can take that 20 minute 20 minute walk to the parking lot for the
people who reserved it and you can um call a taxi and we're like that's what
we're doing like we are not could you imagine hiking those three hours getting
up there and hiking all the way back like I physically couldn't I was already
mentally preparing myself to have to because I was like Amy like no one's
gonna come on a helicopter and save you so if you have to take your ass home and
you have to hike back I'll sort um I'll have to do but thank God we found out
that you can call a taxi the taxi was hella expensive it was a hundred and ten
dollars because they had to drive really far anyways um yeah so we're like we
can't turn back now like we have to just keep going Stephanie was literally dying
behind me you guys like if you guys know the difference between me and Stephanie
Stephanie is definitely more like uh how do I say it like fancy yeah Stephanie's
more fancy than I am I'm able to like if I got to get down and dirty i'ma get
down and dirty like I could do it you know what I mean but Steph's more fancy
and steps a little bit more high-maintenance
she was dying you guys in the back Steph ate her sandwich on that hike she ate a
granola bar on that hike she drank her entire water bottle on that hike and I
had I hadn't even eaten she's like Amy how have you not even eaten yet I was in
full survival mode like I was like I need to get like on regular grounds here
so I could see normal humans I need to get like on the road because we were
like literally stranded in the woods for three hours
hiking he finally like two hours in we were like okay we actually need to stop
to eat like we should probably do that so we kind of stopped halfway sat on a
random rock sat on a random rock and ate my tuna sandwich y'all it was some
wilderness shit I was like literally I felt like I was in the wilderness I was
in the wilderness anyways so I just sat down ate my tuna sandwich and we like we
wanted to get back on foot so we can get to where we need to go we didn't want to
waste time halfway there we're like oh my god we turned to our
side this is what we saw I'm gonna post the photo right now I took these photos
with my iPhone like what a rewarding feeling like that hike was insanely
difficult all of us were like very straight faced in full survival mode
literally and then we just turned to our right and this is what we see a just
breathtakingly beautiful very rewarding feeling cuz you're like well at least
I'm doing this for something you know Ninian there was also like cracks where
where the ground was separated and you could see down and it was like emptiness
and I was like oh my god like this is some some movie shit like is this real
life right now that we hiked another like hour-and-a-half or whatever it was
and we finally made it to the grotto which the grotto was beautiful but it
was very similar to what we had already just seen so we felt like oh my god are
you kidding me we hiked all the way up here just to kind of see almost similar
to what we already saw but after that you guys like we were done we were like
how do we get home like at this point it was four o'clock we arrived there at 10
a.m. and we were hiking all day so the specific trail to the grotto took us
three and a half hours but we were hiking all the other times and again not
normal hiking like you're probably thinking you're probably like imagining
me just walking down a trail no like I'm talking about full-on like ninja shit
you guys I never in my life thought that I would be capable of that and I will
say I learned so many lessons like I will say what I learned is you don't
know what you're capable of until you're put in that situation and you have no
choice like nobody was going to magically
from the sky and save me I had to hike my ass up there so I could get to our
car so we could get home and I could unit I mean like no one was gonna save
me so you never know what you're capable of until you have no choice I wanted to
like save my sandwich until I was extremely extremely hungry cuz I didn't
know how long it was gonna take us to get home like that was the reality of it
the reality is we didn't know if we're gonna have to do that same three hour
hike all the way back again and um it taught me a lesson to be very grateful
for washrooms because literally we could not you guys here's another thing there
is no bathroom so we literally found one bathroom when we got to the grotto at
like 4 o'clock and we got there at 10:00 you're probably wondering well Amy how
did you go to the bathroom in the woods literally I have not peed I think I peed
in the woods like when I was a kid one time cuz like we were in the middle of
nowhere one time but I literally peed in the woods I peed in the woods on grass
near a tree in the middle of nowhere and then when we finally did find a washroom
it was a composing toilets like oh my god was just crazy but I will say what
we saw was absolutely beautiful and it was an adventure nonetheless and I
learned a lot of lessons and you know what at least we can say we did it like
I can honestly say hey one time I was stranded up in the woods and I hiked for
three hours and I did it I made it you know what I mean like I could say that I
did that but I won't be doing it again let me tell you that I wish I could
describe to you guys the mindset it's probably hard for you to grasp during
like just like me talking to you but imagine our mindset at that point we
were like really really really hungry our feet were so so so sore
our bodies were beat and we were mentally like so ready to go just go
home and be on regular ground so we enjoyed the grotto for a little bit
because that's what we hiked up there for but we were like after that it was
already four o'clock and again it takes three hours to get home of a drive and
we were like we need to get home like we need to get home we there's no way we
can hike three hours back like I am NOT doing that three hour hike back I am NOT
so we're like we need to call taxis so step search up on her phone a taxi and
again we were in the middle of nowhere so there wasn't any taxis available
where we were so we thank God you guys thank God thank you so much shout out to
Matt like shell out to Matt the taxi driver because you came through like I
highly doubt he's watching this but Matt if you are watching this who you are a
god-sent because he drove an hour away just to come pick us up there's no uber
aware we were like literally we're like is that Boober like we felt like such
City people like no we were in the moment no we're no bers no taxis but we
did find a taxi driver in a city that was like an hour away and he's like I'll
Drive to you guys but it's gonna take me an hour and it's gonna cost you guys 110
dollars and we're like it's okay it is okay please come grab us because we need
to get we needed to get to our car so it was either we were gonna do a three-hour
hike back or a three-hour walk back or we're gonna call a taxi so we're like
I'm calling a taxi so we paid for the taxi and he came to pick us up shut up
to you Matt so he came to pick us up and he dropped us off at our car and I have
never been so happy to see my car before in my life oh by the way we had no cell
service the entire time so in the middle of the woods there was no way of us like
getting in contact with anybody that was like are we had zero cell service so
yeah that's why we didn't really finish vlogging cuz we mentally all clocked out
and we went into full survival mode like ready to go home and really survive this
and get back on regular grounds cuz we were literally in the woods for hours
and hours and hours yes so that is that was my Saturday adventure that's why my
voice is so so raspy yeah I just want it to kind of come on here and end this
vlog for you guys I hope you guys enjoy the vlog footage and I hope you enjoyed
the drone footage that we got to I think we got some really good footage and I
could not believe that my iPhone took that photo by the way like so sick that
photo oh my god I didn't know we had water like that in Canada like the water
was literally crystal blue and aqua blue in the front with these beautiful rocks
like it was breathtaking and it was an adventure nonetheless even though I
would never do it again because that was like a crazy experience
it was an adventure um I also wanted to kind of give you guys a hair update this
is like so bright but I wanted to give you guys a hair update this is what my
hair is looking like right now so um here's the quick hair update I went to
the salon the other day well actually let me tell you guys so I tried to tone
my hair with the Wella 7a because 7a is ash which Ash pulls a lot of blue and
violet which blue counteracts orange so I really needed to do something to
cancel out the brassiness so the 7 a toner by Wella or not toner at the
Debbie color we use a toner whatever I used that and it actually really worked
to take out the orange out of my hair the brassiness completely went away it
really worked for that but it did not work to get rid of the red like the red
was still in my hair it would not come out after that I was like I need
something I know that for red I need something like with a green base but
there's nothing sally's that has a green base so I text my hairstylist and she's
like yeah you definitely need something with a green base she actually works
with red can they that's what the salon uses and they have the redkin color
gloss shades eq o eq 0 6gn which is a green / yellow based toner so I'm like
perfect because I need some green to counteract this red I booked an
appointment for her and we did it and it worked it got a lot of the red out but
there's still some red as you guys are seeing like for some reason you guys the
red is not leaving my hair like it just won't come out it's reflecting very red
it's also pretty dark right now but that's because I use the 7 a and then
she did the 6 G so it's just like you have two layers of Demi color on so my
hair super porous from the bleach that it's it's grabbing darker but it's
totally fine I know it will fade that's kind of not not an issue to me I
actually like this level I want it to be this level is actually not bad I do want
it to be maybe one level lighter but other than that I'm happy with this you
know it's just the red that I really want to get out of my hair
but at this point like I'm being real with you guys it's not coming out I've
used an ash toner I've used a green toner it's
not coming out the red is here to stay it is not getting evicted so I know that
over time my hair will go to the tone that I want I just need to keep
depositing the tone that I want and I also need to let my virgin hair just
kind of come down and let these bleach parts settle because they're so you know
we recently did bleach him I'm moving on to like accepting it and now I'm gonna
do temporary fixes so that I can have a hair that I like for now until the red
goes away if that makes sense so what I did was I actually bought the Pravana
teal shampoo it's the perfect brunette shampoo and it's a blue and a green
shampoo which is awesome it was actually the only green shampoo I could find in
the market I could not believe that there was no green shampoos out there
like what seriously um so they were the only brand that actually has a green
blue shampoo because I can't just use blue or purple shampoo purple
counteracts yellow I don't have a problem oh but my main thing is the red
and for red you need greens so they were the only shampoo that I found that had a
green base so I went ahead and purchased that it's actually coming in the mail
this week so I'll be able to test it out for you guys to see if it works so I'm
kind of gonna have to just be using the teal shampoo every week to keep up with
my color and neutralize the red and get the red out of there and then I also
bought the John Frieda cool brunettes color Goss so it's kind of like an in
the shower thing which you keep it in for three minutes and it really
neutralizes Brass red and orange tones in your hair and it's for dark brunettes
and honestly you guys it has such good reviews like if you go on Amazon right
now and look at it there's literally 500 reviews and out of all them the total is
it's like a four and a half star so the products is a really good a lot of
people said that it really held like this one girl said that the red would
never come out of her hair till she used that product it's obviously temporary as
well but it really helps to kind of give your hair a glaze to neutralize the red
and bring out more of that brown tone that I want instead of that Auburn you
know red tone so I kind of bought those two things to use over the next few
months just to kind of get my hair to the tone that I want temporarily until
my virgin hair comes in and slowlyslowly all this porous porous
bleached hair will won't be you know holding on to the red and I don't know
how long my hair is gonna hold on to the red but I'm hoping not for long but I
feel like it's gonna be awhile like it's been pretty stubborn but yeah you guys
that's pretty much it I want to quickly give you that hair update for the rest
of the night I'm just gonna go ahead and actually edit this blog and edit the
video that I just filmed and eats because I'm really hungry anyways I hope
you guys enjoyed this vlog I know this last bit of it was really chatty but I
obviously wanted to explain everything that happened a little bit of a story
time for you guys you can kind of say this is like a storytime vlog and I mean
