In the last episode we discussed that even a good soul

Can use a wrong method sometimes.

If we go by the method and put a label on the soul.

It is a mistake we make.

Does it also come under compassion?

The soul is beautiful, the Sanskars are also beautiful.

The soul is pure but a wrong Karma is performed.

If we put a label on the soul based on that wrong Karma

We should not say the soul is like that.

If we do that, it is called judging people

Based on what they have done.

If we judge them that way

Then we get distanced from each other.

But if we understand

That the soul is beautiful

But the Karma is wrong.

Then we get closer to each other.

That line said use patience

Compassion and understanding.

That soul who by mistake did a wrong Karma

That wrong Karma intensifies when we look at the person with the same perspective.

That he is like that and the company he keeps is also like that.

It is not necessary that the wrong Karma has happened by mistake.

One is that by mistake we do wrong Karma.

Another is when we knowingly do a wrong Karma.

Out of jealousy or out of competition

Yes.

We can see that when we ourselves make a mistake

One is doing it unknowingly

The other is to do it knowingly.

At that time we will have many reasons to justify.

Somebody does it out of wrong habit, somebody does it due to wrong company,

Somebody does it out of helplessness in a situation.

Somebody does it out of fear.

Or out of Revenge. So many reasons.

But when we remember that the soul is good

Our vibration will also be safe

The vibration radiating to them is also safe.

So the souls come together.

Otherwise we get distanced from each other.

You mentioned that both of us benefit with the right vibrations.

Because both the souls become stronger.

Even the environment gets good vibrations and benefits.

Yes, absolutely.

Everything comes back to Compassion which is a beautiful word.

It says - Compassion is not religious business.

It is human business.

It is not luxury, it is essential

For our own peace and mental stability.

It is essential for human survival.

If we look at every word

First of all Compassion is not religious business, but is human business.

We use the word compassion in religions

We associate it with Dharma

But it says it is not religious business.

It is human business.

Which means human being and compassion have to go hand in hand.

It is human business, and most important line

It is important for my own peace and mental well being.

Nobody told us this.

That it is important for my own peace and mental well being.

When we use the word Compassion

We think it is compassion for someone else.

And we understand it as

And we mix it with the word Mercy.

To be merciful to a person

But that is not compassion.

It means you are lower and I am higher to you.

When we were taught about compassion

They said - have compassion for others.

Which means understand the other person's pain, illness, problem, and situation.

And co-operate with him.

This was compassion. For example if someone was short of money

You understand his problem and co-operate.

If somebody had health issues

If somebody is ill, understand and co-operate with that person.

So compassion was always about doing something for other people.

That we understand other people's pain and co-operate with them and help them.

Have compassion for people.

This is so beautifully said and this is the essence

Essence of spirituality.

That compassion is for your own peace and mental well being.

You are not doing anything for other people.

You are doing for your peace of mind

And extending compassion for your own mental stability.

And the last line says - it is essential for your own survival.

We have heard that water air and sunlight are essential for our survival.

But this line is so beautiful, I heard it for the first time.

That it is essential for our survival.

We need to understand. What does it mean?

That compassion is essential for my survival?

You mentioned about water and air. Why are these elements essential for our survival?

Because the body is made of them.

So the five elements which the body is made of

The body needs all the five elements necessarily.

As long as all the five elements are available, the body can survive.

If we stop even one of the five elements from reaching the body.

If we stop taking in air

Stop drinking water

How long will the body function if we stop even one of the elements?

It will not survive.

So we say the five elements are essential for this body's survival.

That is why we pay attention

To take in all the five elements

To take care of the body, to take the right diet.

To eat the right minerals and vitamins

We take care of how much water to drink everyday

Quality and quantity of water, quality of air we inhale

Take care of all these aspects.

Because we know that is a disturbance in any of them, there will be a disturbance in the body's functioning.

So when we fall ill we are told

To check all these parameters

Whatever we are deficient in, we are asked to take it.

Today so much of awareness is created

To drink these many glasses of water everyday to remain healthy.

They also teach us how to drink water.

There is so much emphasis on the way to drink it.

That if we drink water in a certain way

The body will be healthy.

We are also taught healing techniques

We are anyway inhaling, but we are taught to in inhale in a particular way.

Again so much emphasis.

But where is all the emphasis? In taking care of the body.

Nobody told compassion is essential for your survival.

But it is a little bit difficult to believe

Necessary that compassion is necessary for survival

Please explain it.

It is for survival of the soul.

Whatever the body is made of, it needs all those five elements to survive.

For a soul to remain strong, what all does it need?

The original qualities of the soul.

The body is made of five elements.

Today should be a right balance of all five elements to keep the body healthy.

What is required to keep the soul healthy?

It's 7 original qualities.

If out of those 7 qualities, one of them

Is in lesser proportion then required

The soul will not be healthy.

Even if one component of a car is not okay, it does not run smoothly.

We have a lot of awareness about other things.

That a car will not run smoothly if a component is faulty.

If the body has less water or polluted air, it does not function smoothly.

But we did not pay attention to the seven qualities of the soul.

But if one quality is inadequate, the soul will not remain strong.

In this case the soul qualities started depleting more and more.

Still we did not realise that we cannot be healthy without those qualities.

So the seven qualities are essential for the survival of the soul.

Soon after waking up we take care of physical fitness.

Even during the walk, we don't think about the soul, sitting down for 10 minutes.

Because our priority is taking care of myself.

This is very important. I have to take care of myself.

But what did we understand the term 'Myself' to mean?

As body. So we took very good care of the body.

But we didn't know myself means Soul. So we didn't take care.

Only when we start calling this my body (instead of I)

You have to take care of it also because it is my body.

Like you mentioned we take care of our car also.

It is my car so I take care of it.

Likewise it is my body so I take very good care of it.

Some people who go on morning walk, employee somebody to clean their car by the time they come back.

We charge our phone and laptop because we need to use them throughout the day.

So we charge them before leaving for the day.

We take care of everything.

Lunch, breakfast are also prepared.

Before reaching office we even call up and give instructions.

We tell them - I am reaching in 15 minutes, you finish these tasks by them.

See how well organised and disciplined we are.

For everything outside.

Outside.

A Housewife keeps her house so beautiful.

She keeps it neat, clean and perfect.

She takes accurate care of her children.

We are very well organised and disciplined.

We have that Sanskar with us.

And we use that Sanskar.

But we are using them only outside.

And it takes quite a lot of time to take care of all these things.

It doesn't take so long to take care of this.

We only need attention to take care.

It doesn't need more time.

We can take care of our inner self even while taking care of everything outside.

That is when we should do - while taking care of everything outside.

The seven qualities of the soul

Purity, peace, power, knowledge

Happiness, love, bliss

Now let me write a list for myself

That I the soul am made up of these 7 qualities.

Purity, peace, power

Happiness, bliss, love and knowledge.

These are my 7 qualities.

If one out of these 7 qualities

Is less at any point of time

Then I the soul gets disturbed.

Just like when the body is ill, it is disturbed, and loses stability

The body starts giving us signs and symptoms

That something is not right.

Similarly out of 7 qualities even if one quality is less

There will be a disturbance within us here.

When there is a disturbance in the body

We immediately start getting it treated.

When there was a disturbance in the mind

We did not get it treated.

Moreover we saw everyone having a disturbance in the mind

Gradually the society said this disturbance is normal, natural

That it happens with everyone.

If tomorrow the society together

Takes a decision that diabetes is normal

After that people will not get diabetes treated.

They say this sugar level is normal.

Tension is normal so diabetes is normal.

Even if everyone has it, we get it treated.

We know that this is the normal level of blood pressure.

And this is high blood pressure.

Even if we say many people have it

But we are aware that this is not normal level of BP.

So we begin treatment.

But if we start calling the high level of blood pressure as normal

Then we will not get it treated.

That is why it is very, very, very important to know what to call as normal.

Because once we call something as normal

Or natural, then we will not do anything about it.

And even when we say everyone does it or everyone has it - so the term 'Everyone' has also to be eliminated.

Actually even if everyone does it, we still take care

Problem started when we said stress is normal.

Feeling hurt is normal.

Fear is natural.

When we call these emotions as natural and normal, that is when healing stops.

Even if there is one disease which everyone has

Even then we are aware it is a disease.

It is like an epidemic spreading in a village.

Suppose everyone in the village falls ill with it.

Still they all know that it is a disease.

Even if everyone has it.

So it is not a problem even if everyone has it.

Everyone has it but everyone is getting treated for it.

Problem is only when we say it is normal.

When it is normal what are we supposed to do? Nothing because it is normal.

Like we say kids will get measles, it is normal for them to get.

So the word normal has to be taken a lot of care of.

How should I check what is normal for me and what is not normal for me?

How to make out? Somebody said stress is natural.

Somebody else said peace is natural.

These are two belief systems so I need to check them for myself.

About what is normal for me and what is not.

For the body

When the blood pressure is normal the body functions in a certain way.

When the blood pressure increases or decreases

In either case we will experience discomfort.

So on what basis to the definition of normal get decided?

Based on the experience.

So when I am feeling fine

This is normal.

When there is discomfort it has gone away from normal.

Either this way or that way.

Even here we need to do the same checking of what is normal.

Do I feel comfortable in anger or in peace?

At ease

Mind at ease

Body at ease

Relationships at ease

When are all of them comfortable?

When I check which of these two do I use

Stress or peace?

Anger or happiness?

Hurt or love?

Purity or manipulation?

Weakness, hopelessness, fear, power

We are aware and we have experiences of both qualities.

Of how this feels and how that feels.

Whether to get done with love or anger.

Getting work done is fine.

Which emotion feels comfortable here?

To get work done we can still say I need anger

Even if we justify anger to ourselves this way.

Now we only need to check what is normal for me the soul.

If I am not peaceful I don't feel nice.

It doesn't feel normal.

So we can see the difference between the two?

Yes we can see the difference and is very important to check for ourselves

Because some people tell us that peace is natural.

But many other people will tell us that stress and anger are natural.

So we will not be sure which belief system is right.

We just need to listen to belief systems.

We should adopt only when we experiment ourselves

Experience it and then say

This is the truth for me.

Until then it is just a belief system.

One person believed something and another believed something else.

Let us listen to them and experiment on them.

After we experience, only then it becomes the truth for me.

And it can happen that my truth is completely different from everybody else's.

It can even be different from the whole world.

I have to create my own truth.

Taking somebody else's belief and assuming it to be the truth.

How can we say it is right because they told so? Did we check it?

Did we experiment and see?

Are we feeling right about it?

Somebody said stress is natural.

And so many people adopted that belief.

And then it just spread like vibration.

Now even as little child says he feels stressed.

Children going to nursery say they experience a lot of tension.

Even parents endorse that today's children have a lot of difficulty and stress.

There is so much pressure of exams and huge books to study

Everyone has started saying this.

They are right. Things are time bound.

Pressures are there on students.

There are so many books and vast syllabus.

All this is right.

But while taking care of them

How should the state of mind be?

The definition of normal should be decided there.

How to do it?

With all that how can the state of mind be fine?

While taking care of everything how can the state of mind be fine?

The mind will be disturbed when there is stress.

If I have to rush to the airport

I have only 5 minutes left and there is a traffic jam.

Let's take a simple example.

You are saying there is no other choice than getting disturbed?

Yes because I can't even tell the driver and he can't just fly out of the traffic?

This is a simple example and there can't be a simpler scene than this.

Life will have many other complicated situations.

We have to go to the airport and have only 10 minutes left to reach.

And there is a traffic jam.

It's a situation and we are in the vehicle.

All this is one situation.

We main get late and even miss the flight.

All this is a situation.

But how to feel here within?

Whose choice is it?

In the same situation as you described just now

That you will get disturbed. You said it is obvious because you are getting late for the flight.

Suppose there are 5 others in that same vehicle as you.

Same situation, same car, same traffic jam

Same flight, same meeting, five people.

Will all the five people get equally disturbed?

Not necessary. One of them might say we will take another flight.

Let us leave five people and just look at yourself

The amount of disturbance you would create earlier - is it same as how much you get disturbed now?

No.

Definitely there is a lot of difference.

But you are the same person?

Earlier you would get more disturbed and now less disturbed. But the situation has not changed?

Pause and question myself.

Why did we say that getting disturbed is obvious?

When other people did not get so disturbed

And I don't get as disturbed as I would get earlier?

So can I not see that be getting disturbed is dependent on?

Earlier I would have said - I am going, you can come in another vehicle.

Now this is checking and it is a very interesting activity.

The situation has not changed but who has changed?

I have changed.

Which means whose creation is stress?

Mine. But what is happening and what is to be checked now is

When we were getting more disturbed, what did we blame?

We blamed the situation.

Today we are less disturbed but still we are blaming the situation.

When the mind was getting more disturbed

Even then we said it is natural.

Today we are getting less disturbed. Let us say it has reduced by 80%.

We get disturbed only in 20% of situations.

When we were getting 100% disturbed, even then we called it natural.

Today we are getting 20% disturbed and even now we call it natural.

Which of them is natural out of the two?

Neither of them.

Which of the two was natural then?

And both the times we blamed the situation.

We said getting disturbed is natural.

We did not pause to check

If getting disturbed was dependent on the situation

One is that everyone gets disturbed

Everyone will get equally disturbed

I would have got disturbed to the same extent then and now.

Even if we are not able to check it in reference to other people

That they are not getting disturbed and only I am getting disturbed

In such cases sometimes we tend to say

They are not affected as much because they don't have a meeting.

They are careless, I am more sincere and hence I get more tensed.

That I should reach in time.

So let us leave them out and check only ourselves.

How much would I get disturbed earlier and how much is it now?

Which of these two is natural?

And when we realise

That earlier we would get more disturbed than we get today

We realise our potential

That we can reach a stage

Where we absolutely do not get disturbed at all.

So what will be natural?

So most important is to not blame the situation

You mentioned some things are time bound, there is work pressure and work targets

There are exams

Peer pressure

So stress is natural - this vocabulary has to change.

The moment we say it is obvious

Then we use the word and say - it is natural.

Now if I say this terrain

It is very uneven.

There is no smooth road.

There are so many stones and it is very uneven

If I say that my leg will ache if I walk on the terrain.

It is not necessary.

Terrain is uneven but different people

I can find it very difficult and my leg might ache.

That can be someone else who just passes by me and runs easily.

Why is it that he can run and I cannot?

We can even say - why is this location chosen for shooting? I will obviously get irritated.

Such an uneven terrain and it is so difficult to walk around.

So we can say getting irritated is natural.

But others are not getting irritated.

And most important earlier we would get more disturbed and today, less disturbed.

So how do we set the definition of natural?

Not possible.

We have to be very careful while defining what is natural.

For the mind and the soul the definition of natural should be very carefully coined.

It will change our life.

Some people don't know that they have a quality called Zen.

Zen is not merely a school of self-control or meditation.

It goes beyond that because it talks about the meaning of life.

In this video, I'm going to share with you some behaviors most people don't realize

that they are actually a Zen.

There are 10 behaviors of Zen people that they don't even realize.

Here is some of them.

#1 - Having relaxed mind.

Zen people have a very stable mind, thus they have a relaxed mind too.

Their mind, body and soul are relaxed because they practice special traits that they don't

even realize.

#2 - They present in the current time.

In order to remain sane, Zen people don't wander too much to the future and past.

They focus on the present time, and they make the best effort to achieve goals they have

while enjoying what they do.

#3 - They can control emotion.

Controlling emotion saves your life, both physically and mentally.

Zen people allow themselves to flow with the current even though it goes against them.

As long as they are not physically humiliated, they will remain calm.

#4 - They practice deep breathing.

Deep breathing is very important aspect of life that not all people can do.

Practicing deep breathing affects life greatly, it makes us to stay calm even on a dire situation,

and most people are not aware of that.

Thus, Zen people practice what-so-called deep breathing which enhances their ability to

be in sync with universe.

#5 - They take care of themselves.

It is another important factor that many people neglect.

They don't regret for things they've done especially when it comes to positive actions.

Indeed, sometimes we put ourselves in a bad place.

But that doesn't happen (or at least rarely happen) to Zen people because they always

take care of themselves nicely.

#6 - Zen people don't play in dramatic narrative.

Zen people are not a toxic people, and they won't play any drama in their life.

They won't waste their time and energy for depressing actions like playing unnecessary

drama to impress others.

#7 - They show themselves.

As Zen people are coming through difficult phases of life, they don't want to hide

themselves anymore.

They want to show that they are capable.

They also show that they can help others with their ability.

They don't worry when it comes to performing good deeds, and they will ignore what others

say as long as they are doing something good for both society and themselves.

#8 - They accept reality.

Zen people are completely different from toxic people who tend to manipulate reality.

Zen people believe in the reality, and they accept it as is.

They accept reality because they are fully aware that denying reality takes more unnecessary

energy.

Instead of denying reality, accepting and dealing with it will give more positive impact

to them.

Zen people concisely do this without them realizing it.

#9 - They can say no.

Some people aren't capable in saying no for opportunities, requests, and many other

things.

Being a yes person is not always advantageous, but people do it because they want to be accepted

by others.

However, they don't realize that it hurts themselves eventually, especially when thing

goes against their will.

#10 - They care about their health.

In addition to taking care of themselves from feeling down, Zen people also take their health

problem seriously.

They will avoid things that make their health bad.

Thus, you can see Zen people tend to eat more vegetables than meats or dairy products.

You also can see Zen people prefer having regular exercise and meditation.

Well, those are the 10 behaviors people don't realize they display because they are Zen.
