Waching daily Nov 28 2018

Collecting for the pot is fun.

But finding new species is exciting.

Having spent much time exploring neighborhood woods, I have a pretty good idea as for when

and where I could expect what.

But the downside is, we don't get to see a lot of new species.

So the debate has always been, should we revisit our local spots for the hundredth time to

meet some good old fella or, shall we get into some further, unfamiliar woods,

risking not seeing much.

the choice becomes easier when there's no trade off.

When Maryland is dry and the local woods are not very productive, we would give Virginia

or DC a try.

There, we pick somewhere right next to the Potomac River, because the close vicinity

to the big river would lend mushrooms enough moisture to grow.

The other side of the river is usually indeed very rewarding.

Last time we found three species there that we hadn't seen before.

They are not necessarily rare, but I just don't get to see them around in Maryland.

So sometimes, go to somewhere you haven't been to, and you may be surprised.

Okay, in the rest of the video I am going to show you the several steps I went through

to identify these mushrooms.

This little thing is now on our weird mushroom list.

Its shape stroke me as some sort of stinkhorn mushrooms but I don't see the typical dark

spore masses that a stinkhorn should have.

Instead, I notice this little case or ballon thing on top of the stem.

This structure reminds me of a puffball mushroom, the spores of which are enclosed in such case

and, when a puffball gets mature, the case opens up thus the powdery spores can be carried

away by wind.

After the preliminary identification, I leave the rest to google.

Basically I just try some combinations of key words that describe the features of the

this fungi.

I then click on images, do a quick browse to if see anything looks familiar.

And,

this guy looks Close enough.

So let's do some more research based on its Latin name, Calostoma cinnabarinum.

Click in wiki, but,ur, the image here doesn't really resemble our sample, which seems to

be much lighter and yellower.

So go back to google, click on images to see more pictures of Calostoma cinnabarinum, try

to find images that look more like the sample.

When found something closer, click in to see if any new name pops up.

Here we go, Calostoma lutescens.

This is it.

It turn out that this fungi does have a common name, pretty mouth puffball.

How accurate.

By the way, one good thing about such nontypical mushroom is that, you may not see them a lot,

but it is relatively easy to capture their features with a few words.

Hence several tries on google may give the right answer.

And this second fungi, I was actually very excited to see them, thinking they were something

I long expected to find.

Sulphur tuft was what I thought, which was a poisonous mushroom.

Growing from dead wood, in nice clusters, and with grayish attached gills, all seemed

to fit, until I saw another, younger cluster.

Then I realized something quite important that I just missed.

See the beautiful brick red color of the cap?

It's more discernible on younger specimens.

They're brick cap mushrooms.

The brick cap and the Sulphur Tuft are two species of the same Hypholoma genus.

Thus, they share the same structure and habitat.

But the giveaway is their colors.

The brick cap has a brick red cap, and the Sulphur Tuft has a sulphur-colored, or yellowish

cap.

Also, the brick cap has grayish gills whereas the Sulphur Tuft's gills can take on a greenish

hue.

Both species yield purple brown spore prints because they share the same genus.

Provided I've never heard of the brick cap nor sulphur tuft, I will combine its key features,

reddish cap, purple brown spore sprint, grow in clusters from woods and then run a google

search.

And I won't be surprised if I find the answer within the first couple of tries.

This third guy is absolutely a big surprise.

From afar, I thought that was yet another cluster of brick caps, somewhat discolored

though.

However, my wife, who is more sensible to colors, insisted that she saw some yellowish

hue so her guesses were the jack-o'-lantern or the pholitoa mushroom.

When we got closer and got a better look at the caps and the structure, we became increasingly

uncertain.

They indeed look alike pholitoas, but the cap is smooth and without scales.

So we eliminate that possibility right away.

They resemble jack-o-lantern a lot too, except for two things: first, the cap color is too

yellowish, but jack-o-lantern is on the orangish side.

And second, the mushroom grows too neat and too small.

Mature jack-o-lanterns tend to go wild: they can be very large and tend to have wavy margins.

Nevertheless, these two differences ain't enough, because both could well be affected

by natural forces.

But soon enough, we found the third and the most significant clue when we check the under

cap.

If you're not familiar with the jack-o-lantern, this is how it

looks like.

And this, is our sample.

See the difference here?

Correct, the jack o' lantern has decurrent gills running down the stems.

Whereas for this unknown guy, the gills are somewhere between attached and free.

The top part is kinda attached to the stem and the bottom part is free from the stem.

Natural forces can't change the pattern of gills, so they can't be the jack-o-lantern.

Also, see this?

This is a ring zone, which indicates the existence of a frail partial veil.

Some partial veil can be quite sturdy and leave a full ring on the mushroom's stem.

and some partial veil are quite delicate and easy to fall off, leaving only remnants on

the stem which then captures the spores and forms a band on the stem.

Remember, the jack-o'-lantern will never have a ring or ring zone.

Its stem is bare.

Besides, here, you see the mushroom has already kinda made a spore print on the cap of another

mushroom.

It takes on an orangish-brown color, whereas jack o lantern's spore print is pale yellow.

So, yellow convex cap, attached gills, ring zone, growing from dead wood, with these key

words I search on google, but the results include everything ranging from brick caps

to honeys to jack o lanterns and to pholiotas.

Nothing really looks like our sample.

Indeed, there are just Too many mushrooms that fit the description.

So the original key words have to be refined.

First you need to take off some too general description, such as growing from dead wood.

Then, add the spore print color, because this information can get you to, or at least closer

to the right genus.

As for how to do a spore print, just place a fresh specimen on a piece of white paper

and wait for two to three hours.

Thirdly, if you can think of any lookalikes, definitely include that in you search because

other people may think the same and include this information in their image descriptions.

So, I use jack-o'-lantern lookalike, ring zone, brown spore print as the new combination,

and I find a close-enough image with this latin name: Gymnopilus junonius, which is

used to be called Gymnopilus spectabilis.

Common name: Big laughing Gym.

This mushroom is both psychoactive and poisonous.

The two are not the same thing.

It means this mushroom can get you sick, physically, beyond causing hallucinations.

Also, now you see why it is called the big laughing Jim not laughing Tom.

Gym, is short for Gymnopilus, which is the genus. and junonius is the species.

Laughing, of course, refers to its psychoactive properties.

Now we find the Gymnopilus junonius, but the identification doesn't end here.

The question that follows is, how do I know what I got is indeed the junonius speices,

not some sister species?

You know that under a genus there are multiple species.

These species can look amazingly like, as the American Caesar's and many other species

in the Amanita genus.

Or, these species can differ greatly in terms of size, color, and edibility.

A case in point would be the edible brick cap and the poisonous sulphur tuft that we

just discussed.

If you are a mushroom lover, or, if you collect for the pot, you probably wouldn't and shouldn't

stop at the genus.

You want to know which particular species you are dealing with.

Let's check what species the Gymnopilus genus has.

See the link at the bottom of the page?

Click on it, and you got a whole list of Gymnopilus mushrooms, and with just a brief browse I

find several species that could be justifiably called big laughing Gym or at least, big Gym.

See, deciding on the Genus is easy, but getting into species is much tricker.

Sometimes a microscopic examination, if not a DNA test, is required.

But this is not to say macro-level observations and judgement are totally futile.

After reading the description on wiki and Googling the images based on the Latin name

I got, I start to think my sample is not the Gymnopilus junoius, which seems to be significantly

darker and heftier.

wiki points to another possibility: Gymnopilus ventricosus.

This latter species is said often mistaken for the junonius, but, it contains no psilocybin

therefore is not psychoactive.

The pictures of Gymopilus ventricosus look about right.

but this species grows in pacific northwest and on conifer wood.

Well, I live in the East, and I am sure I found them on a hard wood.

So it couldn't be the ventricosus.

After more research, mainly on Michael Kuo's mushroom expert website, my favorite mushroom

website by the way, I came to this species: Gymnopilus luteus.

Dr. Kuo writes: "It is limited to the hardwood forest and of eastern North America, and features

yellow colors as well as a slender stem."

Now everything lines up.

Except for one last thing: wiki mentions this species stains green where bruised.

Well, if there was green color changing going on a yellow mushroom, I probably would

notice it.

Dr. Kuo says it staining brown.

Could be.

But definitely not immediately like within 30 seconds nor that obvious.

With time, a lot of mushroom gets darker where injured, and I am not sure if it is accurate

to call that a bruise.

Anyway, I am not going to be too obsessed with this criterion.

After all, not every source mentions the bruise effect and at least most of these google images

under Gymnopilus luteus look just like my sample.

I can't speak with absolute certainty because this is my very first time seeing this mushroom

and I am not familiar with the rest species from the same genus.

But there's a pretty good chance that this one is a Gymnopilus luteus.

Unlike the Gymnopilus junoius that is both psychoactive and poisonous, and the Gymnopilus

ventricosus which is not psychoactive, Gymnopilus luteus is Psychoactive but Not poisonous,

although I doubt anyone would want to eat it because it is absolutely very bitter.

So it's a quite interesting mushroom to know and I wish I found it earlier so I can

put it in the jack-o-lantern video and compare the two.

Chanterelles, honeys and ringless honeys all resemble the poisonous jack-o-lantern but

they pale next to this big laugh gym, which I think is almost a spitting image of the

jack o lantern, until you flip the cap.

But it's never too late.

And I'll generalize the similarities and differences of the two.

Similarities include: both can take on a brownish color especially when they are old, and both

grow in clusters from wood.

Some main differences are: the jack o-lantern has decurrent gills and a bare stem, and the

big laughing gym has attached gills and a ring zone on the stem.

The Jack o-lantern yields a very pale yellow spore print wheres the print of the big laughing

gym is orangish brown.

Also, the jack-o-lantern is on the orangish side, and this big laughing gym is more yellowish

and have light yellow flesh.

Lastly, the Gym has a hollow stem whereas that of jack o lantern, solid.

Okay so, this is how I identify unknown mushrooms.

I am that kind of person who prefers reading maps to asking people for directions.

And google and some other good mushroom websites are my maps.

If this method is not your type and you feel more comfortable consulting an expert, definitely

do that.

But google is always by your side and responsive, and usually you'll find a whole lot more

information from it, if you ask the right questions.

Oaky, thanks for watching, and see you next time.

How To Analyze A Property And Run Comps - Duration: 9:34.

You want to know if you have a smoking deal in real estate so you need to run

the numbers, you need to analyze, you need to run the comps, you want to know do I

have a really good deal? Today, I'm going to show you exactly how to do that with a

very simple tool. And today, I'm also going to share with you how do you find

really amazing hot deals. Now, join me. I've got Burton. He's in town from

California with Props Dream. This is my go to real estate software for cutting

out all the Realtors or all the unnecessary people when it comes to

buying a house with maximum discounts and maximum equity. Now, Burton. I'm asking

you, I'm going to put you to the test, okay? I'm going to be testing your software and

here's what I want to know. Can you help me in less than a minute, find a hot

smoke and deal that has a significant... Let's call it a 20% equity position? -Okay.

-You're up to the challenge? -Absolutely. -Okay, awesome. -We're going to go back to Salt Lake

City and I'm using some of the criteria you're very familiar with. So I'm going to

look for something that's owner-occupied. I'm going to filter through the MLS looking

for single-family and using your criteria. 3 to 5 bedrooms, 1 and

2 bathrooms. -Entry level, hot. -I'm also going to look for anything on the MLS

that's active or failed. -Okay. -What I also what I'm going to do is look

for anything that's listed below market price. And it's currently on the market

as well. -Now, I'm going to put a max on 230,000. Because really, I

like to be below the median and so that just means we're going to be there. -Right.

Now, we can... For me, I like to look for any type of owner so I'll leave that alone

value time. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to look for properties that are

listed up to 230,000 but our system calculates it at a value of

$260,000. -Now guys, you need to watch very carefully because

you can get the software for free. It's something special that I negotiated with

Props Dream. For all of my investors, I want you to have access to really good

deals today at no coast. and so, I want you... I want you to

literally duplicate exactly what he's doing on the free system that you can

download in the link in the description. And for your area, be below the median

and you have to know your numbers a little bit. But check it out.

I want my estimated value at 260,000 or greater. So

basically, we're saying, "Find me something..." See, there's a margin between 230 and 260.

"Find me something under 230 that's at least worth 260 that's giving us a gap."

-Absolutely. So now that we've done that, we're going to go ahead and apply. And we narrowed down 16 results out of 10,000 MLS list.

-Okay, so out of 10,000, we brought it down to 16 of the hottest deals that are

below the median. Do you guys see how amazing that is? Let's look at the first

one here. What do we got? -348, East.

The property values 264. It's listed at $200,000. -Boom! That's what I'm talking

about right there, okay. That was maybe longer than a minute because you were

explaining, grace period. You're all good. Dude, friends, you got a look at this. This

is a home that is listed for $200,000, it has an estimate of 264,000. Let's look at

the next one. What else would this...? 1613. So estimated value of 290,

currently listed at $200,000. -Okay. I'm just going to breathe for a second because

I'm going to pause. I'm going to take a bathroom break but really I'm just

going to pull up my cellphone and I'm going to call this person up be like, "Hello, I have

an offer for you right now." Guys, an estimated value of 290, purchase it for

$200,000. Now listen, you could have a team of Realtors going through all

10,000 of those deals all day long. And most of them are going to tell you this,

"It's not possible. You can't find that much equity." But I'm telling you, the deal

of the decade comes along like every day. You just need to know how to look for it.

In PropStream, they're making it easy which is why I asked him to give you a

free account or at least free trial so that you can check this out. Do the same

thing. Literally, get a deal in your area right now. Look up the next one. I just

got it. I just got it now. So, he found 60 grand on the first one, we've found

$93,000 on the second one. This is a property on redwood

road. -271, listed at 229. -Okay, so this was 229

271. We're looking at a $54,000 discrepancy. So friends, check it out.

We just found 3 smoke and hot actually live deals that we can call and

I guarantee you, if I'm making that phone call I'm going to be getting 1, 2 or

3 of all of those deals. People are always complaining, "I don't know how to

run the comps. I don't know how to find the good deals." We have found them. Now,

let... This whole video is about running the comps. Let's take the first one that

we had found there. -Absolutely. -And actually, take the second one. Because

they had $93,000 of equity. That is awful suspicious but

hey, if there's ten thousand homes on the market, there's bound to be one person

that's listing in a third below market. -Alright. -So our system will give you

access again to County reported comps as well as MLS listings. So, the first is we

have 15 comps to this property. -And those are all listed without a

half-a-mile? -Correct. -Okay, that's awesome friends. You've got, you know, we're always

looking for 3 comps.3 things that have sold in... In a half

mile radius. Or if you know that your properties in a weird location where

you're bordering up against like commercial or like a million dollar

residency, you know, eliminate those ones. You're trying to stick with homes in the

area that are the most like your home. So you don't skew the numbers. -Absolutely. So,

here, we can also now filter our comps. We can say we want something similar to our

property. 4 bedrooms, minimum 1 bathroom. -Because that's the home we're

looking at is a 4 bedroom, 1 bath. -So, now our system has identified four of

them with this average sale price of 288. -Okay, so check it out. What happened was

that it is that we went down from 93,000 to $88,000.

They basically said, "Hey, if you're going to eliminate the irrelevant

comps that are in the area and stick with the homes that are the most recent

and bedroom, bathroom and size", now we've only got four real comps. You want to

select the best ones. And right now, they're still showing eighty plus

thousand dollars of equity. -Absolutely. Now, the next step I would like to do is

look at the hundred and fifty most recent MLS activities within a one-mile

radius around the property. Here, I can see things that are active. Like this is

active starting September 11. It's a 3-bedroom at 249. But we can

now look for the 4 bedrooms....

So, let's look at active four bedrooms. So, here are we are going down. Here are

the active four bedroom. So, we have one that's active. 4 bedroom, 2. Was

active on August. So, is listed starting on August being listed at $372,000

-Which is $90,000 even higher?

-Absolutely. -Okay. So, you can see you've got 373, 936, 370, 499, 609,

274. So, we need to get to the relic. So, can we actually... Can we do a

comparison here on just the MLS listings that are the most relevant? -Yeah. So, what

I normally like to do is I like to sort out by the most by sold. So I'm going to go

here at the top and change the status. So, it shows me all the sold properties. So

now, I'm just looking to find any 4, 2 bedrooms that are on the sold results.

Here's a 4, 2 that sold in February for $309,000.

Another one that's sold in Maine for 274. -Yep. -There's one that's sold

315 and may. So idealistically, we're now showing you information that

the realtors have access to but you have access to it through PropStream. -Now

guys, this is really incredible because you need to understand that when you

work through a realtor, someone needs to pay them. And the seller is always going to

be paying 6% out of pocket. 3% to their agent for listing, 3% to your for being

the buyer's agent. 6% on a hundred grand is $6,000. 6%

on %300,000 is 18 grand.

Instead of the seller actually paying %18,000, to the

Realtors, they can actually give that $18,000 or a part

of it to you in the form of a discount on the property. So, this is a really

powerful negotiating tool. Friends, when you're trying to get a pile of equity,

this makes it really easy because it helps you cut out the middlemen when

necessary. Helps you go right to the source, helps you know upfront what the

best deals are. Helps you run the comps on homes that have sold, what the active

listings are. And basically, you've got all the information at your fingertips

so that you can run the numbers and then make intelligent offers. Now, this whole

thing, this whole system, instead of me teaching you how to pencil it out by, you

know, the calculator knew by hand which I

still do anyway. I'm old school, I'm also new school and I'm using systems like

this. And I'm telling you, out of all the real estate software's that are out

there to help you find good deals, negotiate good deals, get the contact

information of the best deals, learn how to run the comps for the best deals, PropStream

is my chosen software. It has eliminated the need for any of the

others. When I'm in the mood for a good idea,

boom! It's right there at my fingertips. If you want that, I've gone to them and I

said, "Hey, I want to negotiate, you know, less fees." And you guys charge anyone

else. It's already a really reasonable, super, inexpensive system but I've asked

for the best deals on it. And have also asked for a free trial, no questions

asked for you. And I'm negotiated that on your behalf and it is available. So, all

you really need to do is click the link in the description below and start

finding the good deals, running the numbers and go get yourself a good deal today.

Cypher's Betrayal | The Matrix (1999) Movie Clip - Duration: 5:00.

You first, Neo.

Shit!

Tank!

No!

I don't know. It just went dead.

Hello, Trinity.

Cypher? Where's Tank?

You know...

...for a long time...

...I thought I was in love with you.

I used to dream about you.

You're a beautiful woman, Trinity.

Too bad things had to turn out this way.

You killed them.

- What? - Oh, God.

I'm tired, Trinity.

I'm tired of this war...

...tired of fighting. I'm tired of this ship...

...of being cold, of eating the same goddamn goop every day.

But most of all...

...I'm tired of that jackoff and all of his bullshit.

Surprise, asshole!

I bet you never saw this coming...

...did you?

God, I wish I could be there...

...when they break you.

I wish I could walk in just when it happens...

...so right then...

...you'd know it was me.

You gave them Morpheus.

He lied to us, Trinity.

He tricked us!

If you had told us the truth...

...we would've told you to shove that red pill up your ass!

That is not true, Cypher. He set us free.

"Free." You call this free?

All I do is what he tells me to do.

If I had to choose between that and the Matrix...

...I choose the Matrix.

The Matrix isn't real.

I disagree, Trinity.

I think the Matrix...

...can be more real than this world.

All I do is pull the plug here.

But there...

...you have to watch Apoc die.

Trinity.

- Welcome to the real world. - But you're out, Cypher.

- You can't go back. - That's what you think.

They'll reinsert my body.

I go back to sleep. When I wake up, I won't remember a thing.

By the way...

...if you have anything important to say to Switch...

...say it now.

- No, please don't. - Not like this.

Not like this.

Too late.

Goddamn you, Cypher!

Don't hate me, Trinity.

I'm just a messenger.

And right now, I'm going to prove it to you.

If Morpheus was right...

...there's no way I can pull this plug.

If Neo's the One...

...then there'd have to be...

...some kind of a miracle to stop me.

Right?

I mean, how can he be the One...

...if he's dead?

You never did answer me before...

...if you bought into Morpheus' bullshit.

Come on. All I want is a little yes or no.

Look into his eyes...

...those big, pretty eyes...

...and tell me...

...yes...

...or no.

- Yes. - No!

I don't believe it.

Believe it or not, you piece of shit, you're still going to burn!

"For Sale or For Parts" - Lori's resurrected 1948 Ford F1 truck | Why I Drive - Ep. 12 - Duration: 2:57.

- [Lori] I came across the truck in the swap meet section

at a car show, and it just looked really sad

and forgotten and mismatched.

But there was just something about it that spoke to me.

It's kinda like I didn't feel like I had a choice.

I had to rescue this truck.

Life isn't perfect. I'm not perfect.

Why should my truck be perfect?

And the fact that you can see this truck's history

in the body of it.

I didn't want something that was perfect.

It had layers and layers of paint and Bondo on it.

So I knew that needed to come off.

But I didn't want to do a shiny, crazy show truck.

(upbeat country music)

I've always been attracted to raw materials.

I love the air string trailers, I like the aluminum tank

on a V-Rod, my motorcycle is a chrome tank.

And when I started stripping down the Bondo

and getting down to the steel on the truck,

I knew that was the way I wanted to go with it.

(truck engine roars)

When you're driving a 70 year old vehicle,

you have to think about everything.

I have to watch for temperature gauge.

I have to keep a safe traveling distance,

'cause the drum brakes are not gonna stop

the way modern brakes are.

Every moment you're behind the wheel,

you're thinking about connecting with the road

and you're connecting with the vehicle.

It's a great kind of escape.

I get out and I drive that truck because I'm focused

on driving and experiencing the world around.

I've got the windows down, the air is blowing in,

the cadence of the flathead.

It soothes me and it helps me think.

(upbeat country music)

My favorite driving scenario is getting up early,

right around the time the sun's coming up,

getting on the road with no other cars,

starting the slow cruise up the hill

with the sun kissing the Joshua trees.

And gradually pushing it a little harder

and a little harder, and just feeling that rumble

and the sensation of being on the road,

and just being connected with the truck,

and connected with this experience of driving.

And that's what it is when you drive a classic.

It's an experience, it's an adventure.

It's not just a means of transportation.

But to me, this truck is a friend.

And through the process

of bringing this truck back to life,

I became so bonded to this truck,

and it would just feel wrong to me to correct

some of the things that aren't perfect about the truck.

I'm a lover of history, I'm a lover of story.

And when you get behind the wheel of an old vehicle

like my truck, you know that there are stories embedded

in every part of this vehicle.

(upbeat country music)

My name is Lori Bentley-Law and this is why I drive.

THANKSGIVING IN PARIS - Duration: 12:30.

Hi everyone and welcome to this new video

We're here today, not from the States

because we're in Paris

where we live

If you don't know us, Andrea who's here

is American, and I'm French

We met in the States

where we lived for a few years

we now live in Paris

and as you saw in the title

It's Thanksgiving, or it was Thanksgiving

But because it was a weekday we're celebrating it tomorrow on Saturday

So you're going to follow us on our adventure of Thanksgiving in Paris ! Let's go !

So the first step, is to take out the decoration

we're not putting up a Christmas tree this year because we're celebrating Christmas in the States

but we'll decorate the windows

let's face the cold

to decorate

we're going to set up the Christmas tree garlands

with some lights

and some ornaments on both windows

Now we're preparing for tomorrow

because there are many things to do

so we're in charge of the turkey,

we cheated a little bit, because we ordered the turkey at the butcher

Because our oven wouldn't be big enough

so they going to cook it for us

you'll see it's delicious

what else do we do?

What do we do ?

We're preparing the sweet potatoes

for the mashed sweet potatoes

I couldn't find cranberries this year, I got morello cherries

we'll improvise but it's going to be very very good

and here, we're roasting

we're baking the pumpkin

to make a pumpkin pie

I'm also going to make cornbread muffins

what else are we making?

Did you buy the...?

corn bread?

and mulled wine

then we'll just have to move everything to set up the big table

So Yoann, what are you doing ?

I'm making the cranberry sauce

with morello cherries

I put some sugar, wine, I'm going to bring it to a boil with a cinnamon stick

when it's boiling and the sugar has dissolved

I'll add the morello cherries

to cook them and make them pop

then you put it in the fridge and the next day you have a nice sauce

a little bit like jelly

and here we have the sous chef

making sure everything is going as planned

hello !

if you don't know him, his name is Jean-Baptiste

Hi Jean Baptiste

we're going to mash it and then add the spices

the cinnamon, the nutmeg, the ginger

the vanilla

it smells good

then we'll bake it in the oven

the sauce is cooling down

Andrea is making the mashed potato

we're progressing as planned

right?

I'm finishing the pumpkin pie

then the rest we'll happen tomorrow morning

cleaning up, decorating,

and... Thanksgiving

Hi everyone

It's Thanksgiving day !

I did the sauce yesterday as you saw

but it's too liquid

so I'm trying to save it

because we already did a lot yesterday,

I'm going to show you in the fridge

we have here my pumpkin pie

Cassie's

Andrea's mashed sweet potatoes

Usually for Thanksgiving, everybody brings something

Because we're hosting, we're taking care of the turkey

of a few things

but some friends will bring

brussel sprouts, some wine

green beans casserole

many things

everybody brings something

and it's a friendly atmosphere of Thanksgiving

and we'll try to save the sauce

it should be a little bit more jelly-like

Let's move everything in the living room

to set up

oh and by the way, I wanted to show you

I successfully did the sauce !

it's going to be so good

that's what we call, a big table !

what we did when we were in the States last year for Christmas

by the way you can watch the video when we bought

our Thanksgiving plates

because when a holiday is over in the States

the day after they have big sales

so when we were in the States for Christmas, Thanksgiving was over and they had good sales

on plates, napkins etc.

so we bought them last year

so it's a piece of advice, if you go to the States, buy things after the holidays, you'll find things on sales

we have our paper plates, for dessert,

for the meal

with thanksgiving decoration

and we also have napkins

we'll see which one we'll use

we'll have enough

and the table cloth is almost ironed

the good mulled wine

with all the spices

what are you doing?

I'm making corn bread muffins

it's savory

what is it inside?

cornmeal

flour, sugar

oil

salt

and some milk

and one egg

we'll bake them in the oven, and we'll have them with the meal

and now, in the oven

20 minutes

so...What do we have here?

we'll see if they are done

it's going to be so so good

Let's go to pick up the big turkey

we ordered it and the butcher cooked it for us

so now we're picking it up

are you excited coco?

I am !

let's go !

here we go ! We have the turkey,

and the sauce !

the turkey is about 13lbs

I think we'll have enough

And there is a line !

Cassie having her 4th plate

4th ? No !!

Are you kidding? The 2nd one

Is it good?

Of course!

it's so good

it's like at home

Still hungry Emma?

Not now but...

we have to try everything

no waste!

Reversible Bowl Cozy | Whitney Sews - Duration: 5:45.

hi everyone I'm Whitney and I post a new tutorial every Wednesday to help sewers

of all skill levels I learn new projects and techniques this week I'm showing how

to make this reversible bowl cozy now this pattern and project were sent to me

by a lovely lady named Leslie and she even sent these perfect bowls to fit

into the bowl cozies which I thought was so so sweet I did an unboxing video

showing everything that she sent that I'll actually link down below so you can

see everything is there but if you like this project definitely hit the like

button down below and leave a comment thinking Leslie for her kindness for

sharing her pattern with us to make the reversible bull cozies you will need two

different fabrics fusible fleece and thread I'll be showing you how to draw

out the pattern in just a moment but I did want to mention that these

particular bull cozies are not microwavable safe because they are not

made out of 100% natural fibers and they are just to put your already hot food

into so that it is easy to carry around and not burn in layers to make the

pattern draw out a square that is ten and a half by ten and a half inches mark

line down the center in each direction then mark two inches in on each center

line and two inches on either side connect the marks two inches from each

center line with the center mark to form a triangle then use a small circular

item to round the corners I'll have a graphic of this with the measurements

listed over on my website the direct link to the post will be done below in

the description box cut around the outside of the pattern and the curved

corners cut a piece from each of our fabrics and two pieces of the

interfacing match them up with the textured side of the interfacing against

the backside of the fabric and iron to fuse them together

use your pattern to cut one piece from each fused set I like using a rotary

cutter for this but you can definitely use scissors if you feel more

comfortable cut one of the triangle sections out of your pattern piece use

it to mark the triangle openings on all four sides of each piece

fold the piece in half and sew along the marked line this will form the darts to

shape the cosy to the bowl after sewing the first two darts fold in half the

other direction and sew the remaining two darts repeat these same steps for

the other piece trim off the seam allowances down to about 1/4 inch turn

one piece right sides out and place in the other so the right sides are

together add clips along the top edge to hold them together sew around the top

with a quarter inch seam allowance leave an opening for turning everything

through later

trim down the seam allowance at the top of the darts to remove bulk then turn

everything right sides out through the opening smooth all the edges out around

the seams then turn in the edges at the opening keeping it as smooth of a curve

as possible clip to hold things in place so a top stitch all the way around to

close up the opening

you can be done there or so some additional top stitching from one side

to the other to quilt the layers together

since the cosy is reversible you can definitely use two different really fun

fabrics to make it a really interesting project since I actually have strep

throat right now Jeremiah made dinner and I got to use my bowl cozy right away

let me know in the comments down below if you're going to be giving this

project a try don't forget to subscribe by clicking my picture right down there

if you haven't already so that you don't miss out on any of my future tutorials

because I love sharing sewing projects that are easy to understand by anyone of

any skill level and until next time happy sewing

Ce am cumpărat din Coreea de Nord - Duration: 11:29.

Hi guys!

What's up?

I'll show you what I've bought from North Korea.

I bought a cap,

a t-shirt,

a jacket,

a poster,

a group picture,

a DVD with the entire trip,

this is the entrance ticket to Mass Games,

a traditional Korean drink,

and another traditional korean drink!

I don't know why I laugh.

It is known that Adi vlog, sometimes, buys drinks.

This book, notebook and pen, I received as gifts from travel agency Koryo Tours.

This is the shopping bill, which I keep as a memory, at purchases made in the supermarket in Pyongyang.

And this is the subway ticket.

It costs very little and I keep it, as a souvenir.

And now, let's see what we have here!

Well, theoretically, I know what I have here, but let's see how they really taste.

This is a traditional Korean drink,

which is made of don't know what, and is brought by I don't know where, but which is very good.

You understand that I don't know what I drink, I just know it's alcohol, right?

Let's see what it tastes like, right?

As you can see, I open the bottle for the first time, right in front of you.

Are you crazy, man?

Do you see?

It has a plastic cap.

I removed the cap,

let's smell it,

It's smell good!

Smell it too!

Do you fell it?

After the smell, it seems okay.

Let me put my glasses down, so I can see better.

Do you see that it says here, 50%?

It's that strong!

I'm already excited.

I put just a little,

just to test.

By the color and smell, it looks like cognac.

Let's try it.

I'm going to risk, and I'll drink it out of a sip, because what can happen, right?

Adi stay calm.

It's quite good.

It's a spirituous drink,

with taste and aroma of I don't know what,

but it's good!

Let's drink a little bit more.

Not too much, because then I don't have it anymore.

Cheers!

What I can tell you is that it does not have 50% alcohol.

Our traditional drinks, with 40% alcohol, are stronger than that.

Immediately I will compare this beverage with a drink from us.

Let's taste the second drink.

About this drink, I just want to tell you that.

It is a liqueur, but not any liquor,

The bottle it's blocked, I can not get it!

I understand now...

Look here.

Do you see what's inside?

It's kind of parsnip, or carrot, anyway it's a plant and not an animal!

And his name is Kaesong Koryo Liquor.

You don't see, because it does not focus properly, but you have to believe me.

It's supposed to have 52% alcohol but I doubt it.

I don't believe that % at them, it means like us.

This drink is the best drink you can buy from North Korea.

It is a premium, special drink, both at taste and at price.

Initially I did not want to buy this drink,

I wanted to buy a drink that was second in the top quality,

and that drink contained an animal inside, and not every animal, but a snake!

Yes, in North Korea there is snake liqueur!

How crazy is that?!

Of course I wanted to buy such a bottle, it was even cheaper than this one,

but do you know why I did not buy it?

I was afraid that at customs in Europe, they would find it and confiscate it.

Because I bring exotic animals to the country

So I did not want to risk.

Question for Frequent travelers.

If you bought such a drink and you passed customs with it, or if you know if you can pass the customs with such a drink.

To know for the future when I go to an exotic country, whether to buy such a drink or not.

Because I really want to buy something like this!

But I want to get home with her.

Okay, we've talked enough, let's see what it tastes like.

Only if i can opened it.

I finally succeeded, I opened it!

Okay, let's see...

It has a sweet smell, it looks like it's liqueur.

Let's see the taste of it.

I put just a little, because it's an expensive drink, the best drink from North Korea!

We don't waste nothing.

It has a light, golden yellow color.

Cheers!

That's really strong!

and tastes like our drinks.

That's good!

It's really strong!

I can not figure out what taste she has because she has too much alcohol, and masks any flavor.

As a taste, this drink I like most.

As a strong, this drink i like more.

Under no circumstances is it not liqueur!

I expected it to be sweet, but it is not, it is very strong!

With a carrot inside.

I'll shoot them closer, so you can see them better.

That's what I bought from North Korea.

All these souvenirs, for me, are priceless,

but if you want to know how much I paid for them, ask me and I will answer you.

Before I end this vlog, I will show you another souvenir, which is perhaps the most important souvenir and I was about to forget.

It's a magnet.

This is the North Korean magnet!

As you can see, it's different from all the other magnets,

even it differs from what I have from other countries.

I repeat once again, North Korea is a country different from all other countries!

It is a country that I advise you to go and visit.

You will find far more things than I could show you and tell you, if you understand what I want to tell you.

Now, in the end, considering that this is the last vlog dedicated to my trip to North Korea,

please tell me which vlog did you like the most, which you liked the least, and why.

I want to thank you for joining me on this trip, even if only visually.

I hope you enjoyed what I showed you, and I look forward to join me, in my next trip, namely to the vlogs about China.

Which will appear soon.

I'm Adi vlog.

This was my trip to North Korea.

Kiss, kiss and goodbye!

If you're new here,

then don't forget, that before you leave,

hit the SUBSCRIBE button,

so to have, what to watch next!

BRID Air Purifier vs HEPA Air Purifier: A Quick Comparative Test - Duration: 3:09.

www.bridair.com

BRID AIR Purifier VS High End HEPA Filter

Comparison Test: tVOC & Formaldehyde

We just received a brand new

tracking sensor that tracks

tVOC (Total VOC) pollutants

and the infamous formaldahyde

(A VOC itself).

As you may know, formaldehyde is

present in many households

(Furniture, glue, paint, etc.)

and it's carcinogenic.

BRID Air Purifier and a

high end HEPA Air Purifier

got tested against

volatile organic compound pollutants

and Formaldehyde.

The result is impressive as expected!

As it can be observed,

with the bottle of detergent

opened BRID reaches a certain level

and then starts 'Fighting' VOCs,

whereas the HEPA filter simply

spreads those pollutants.

What is more concerning is

that once the bottle of pollutant

is shut closed it becomes

clear that BRID Air Purifier

depletes those harmful pollutants,

while the HEPA filter,

which absorbed them,

keeps spreading them in

the air for quite some time.

The whole point of the test

is to prove that a HEPA filter

can reduce the amount of

certain kinds of particles

(Usually around PM 2.5),

but does not do anything

to effectively clean the air

of dangerous VOCs,

in fact it helps carrying those

pollutants to other areas

of the house.

On the contrary BRID Air Purifier

gets rid of those pollutants

by reducing those molecules

to basically vapor (H2O).

In the coming months we will

also publish visual test results

on harmful bacteria

and dust mites,

number one cause of allergies.

BRID Air has also the ability

to trap PM particles,

even below 2.5,

thanks to the highly porous

ceramic filter effect.

While not as effective as

a TRUE HEPA filter,

BRID Air Purifier performs

very well, but with the massive

bonus of all the added

outstanding performances

in terms of pollutants,

bacteria, allergens, odors, etc.

that conventional filters,

including HEPA ones

cannot achieve at all.

Let's also not forget that

HEPA filters need to

be replaced often and

disposed of and they are

very expensive,

when really effective (TRUE HEPA),

whereas BRID's filters can

be washed and they are as

good as new,

as they are made of ceramic

and the active photocatalytic

nano coated elements are

directly baked into the ceramic,

making BRID the most effective

and low maintenance Air Purifier

on the market.

BRID is also the ONLY

photocatalytic Air Purifier that

does not use UV light,

therefore NOT producing any Ozone.

De Panne Beach Endurance with Tomi Misser | Orbea Factory Team - Duration: 5:47.

He's saying that if we got tail wind we'll get up to 60 kilometers and hour and that is why I'm using a 44 chain ring and he's using a 38.

In the back, he's got a 10 and I've got 11, more or less the same combination.

2.5 Slick tires with very low pressure to hold on the sand.

We're here in Le Panne, in Belgium, and today we are going to race on the sand,

it's going to be a surrealist experience because we're about 1,500 people starting off at the same time

On a beach that is, I don't know, about 1 kilometer wide.

We are going to go 10 kilometers straight, turn around and then go back.

It's going to be spectacular!

It's a long race, we're going to do about 65 kilometers and apparently

there's a great struggle to get to the first curve which is 10 kilometers from here.

Well, there'll be struggle for the positions because then you enter in a very soft sand zone

There's where the race is decided, I think the selection will be done just there.

So we'll all go together until there and then, it'll be a hard scrap.

It's 3 laps to the circuit so…

We're feeling good and motivated because this is a show!

Wow, what a totally rad experience man!

This thing on the beach is crazy, I started off to the max, we had the 44-11 and there was something missing man!

People is using a 48, they've got this super chain rings!

We got to the end, to the conflict zone, but I was with the head of the race.

We went back through the buildings area and when we got back into the beach,

we were going so fast that a guy in front fell down and I hit him hard man…

I fell too and when I started back again, everybody passed me and the group got separated…

But well, I've had a great time. It seemed like… I don't know where were we, 50 or 60…

But it seemed as if we were going to win the race.

Everyone with their tactics, hiding out, now you go, then he goes…

These races are super fun, super fun!

Look at this, sand on my glasses, sand everywhere…

The noises were…!

At the beach, you stepped on some reeds I think, and heard….

Then suddenly, the tires on the sand…

And then the water… woah!

It was awesome, super fun, totally rad…
