Did Russia obtain '20 percent of our uranium' ? - Duration: 2:06.

And then there's the ongoing Uranium One scandal, which has been explained in a

series of devastating pieces by The Hill newspaper.

Knowing what you know about

Russia, was it really a good idea for the Obama administration and the Secretary

of State, Hillary Clinton, to approve a deal giving the Russians control of 20%

of our uranium supply? Why was that in our interest?

But why was this a good idea?

Why did Hillary's office and the Obama administration

sign off on giving the Russians 1/5 of our uranium?

Why was it a good idea?

Why was it in America's interest to give a 1/5 of our

uranium supply to the Russians,

which you are now arguing constitute the greatest threat we face.

Why is that a good idea to give a hostile power 20% of our uranium

supply? It's insane.

How would a Hillary Clinton not know

if a Russian company

was getting 20% of our uranium supply?

What was she doing?

Whenever news about the Russia probe heats up,

the Trump White House and its surrogates cite the

Rosatom-Uranium One deal in an effort to redirect attention and suggest that

Russia had gained something from Hillary Clinton.

But there's no evidence that

then-Secretary of State Clinton was even informed about this deal.

The Russia Atomic Energy Agency was interested in buying Uranium One because of three mines

the company had in Kazakhstan. More uranium was extracted from those mines

in 2016 than all of the mines combined in the United States.

The American mines were kind of a bonus in the deal.

In 2016, Uranium One's facilities produced less

than 1/10 of a percent of the world's uranium and only 2% of all uranium

extracted in the United States.

Not only is there no evidence that then-Secretary of

State Clinton knew about the deal, but it's clear the United States lost

nowhere near 20 percent of its uranium to supply as a result.

The 20 percent number was an old figure.

One that the Fact Checker has also used, but the

president and his surrogates should update their figures before trotting out

these talking points.

For this, we award Four Pinocchios.

The Flash Season 4 Episode 4 Promo - The Flash vs Breacher - Trailer Breakdown!!! - Duration: 6:57.

you took the photos down from your mother's case

yeah well the case was solved this one is it we got these two killed born

hazard but that still leaves ten metahumans that were created when I came

out of the speedforce how hard can it be to track down ten bus passengers episode

404 elongated journey and tonight we introduced two new friends of team flash

crap the first is Ralph didney that's I'm

gonna square jawed Oliver Queen cut away her baby you know I've only got eyes for

you Ralph is a private eye I smell a mystery what you learn is that he and

Barry have this sort of checkered past he used to be a car dirty cop yet kicked

off the force what Ralph learns discovers in a hilarious sequence is

that he has the ability to stretch and now he needs Barry Allen and team flash

sort of help put him back together

the other is Reacher played by the amazing Danny Trejo pleased to meet you

sir Reacher shows up sort of the worst time

possible for Cisco go for coffee get to know him a little bit better I bet that

you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much you have in common

I'm going to hunt you oh it turns out that he doesn't really like men dating

his daughter do you do this with all her boyfriends no I hunted her last one yes

where is he now I don't know you got away I don't know where you go when you

die

what is good YouTube Warstu here with a video on the flash season 4 episode 4

promo tease from tonight up-and-coming episode so in tonight's episode we are

gonna be introduced to two new characters that everyone's been waiting

for one being elongated man and the other

one being breacher aka gypsies a father so within this trailer

it begins with Barry Allen taking down the foes from his mother's case finale

which tells us Barry is finally accepted what happened to his mother and also

that case was solved so it makes sense to replace that board with the new 12

metahumans that they've got to try and figure out where they are obviously they

found her already in our Heights they've got to try and work out where the other

10 are if you remember the board was flea covered with everything Barry iron

gathered about what happened to his mother but it seems after spending some

time in the speed forth it appears that Barry Allen isn't letting things drag

him down like he did before and this was apparent during the couples therapy

episode when Barry Allen actually said oh yeah my mother died Oh yet my father

died so he's kind of got a bit sense of humor but obviously he's accepted what

happened so originally Ralph it's interesting because he was presumed to

be one of the 14 people who lost their life during the STAR Labs particle

accelerator even Harrison wells said his name during season 1 so everyone thought

he was dead so it's gonna be interesting to see if they do some retcon on his

character he appears to be a dirty cop who was kicked off the police force and

is now a private eye he discovers that he's got the power to stretch kind of

like Stretch Armstrong he's a interesting character and it's a

trait of the CW to bring new characters in and make him appear to be

douche-baggy I not good they did sink similar to Harrison wells hey char from

earth 19 when he first arrived on the scene not many people who liked him but

when he left everyone of dim so I'm really looking forward to

me and Ralph in tonight's episode we're gonna meet gypsies father

breacher play by Danny Trejo massive Hollywood movie star he picks this go up

by the neck and gypsy comes in the shops daddy it's gonna be so much fun guys I'm

looking forward to step aside what's interesting is Harris well gives him a

pep talk tell him tells him to go for coffee with him get to know him and in

love yeah which is pretty cool it's gonna be such fun having breacher on

this show and he says I'm gonna hunt you he doesn't like people dating his

daughter which is understandable Cisco says do you do this all her

ex-boyfriends and he implies I hunted her ex-boyfriend I don't know where you

go when people die it's gonna be so much fun but from what I can member from the

from the comics breaches are actually more powerful than gypsy and Cisco so

it's gonna be quite interesting what's led him to this earth

I hope breach it explains to us why people from Earth 19 aren't allowed to

breach out of that earth is it something to do with some massive war that they

had I really hope we get some backstory I guess people gonna jump on the

accelerator man's storyline is breached good and bring him over is there gonna

be some tie-in in the back end of the season I really hope this so in the last

week's episode wally west went off and in a recent interview it's really

surprising what he said they basically said the reason he's not in the episode

is because it's really hard to have two speeches on the screen at the same time

and creatively right for them but that doesn't explain anything to us the

viewers because last year they had savat are they had Barry Allen they had Jesse

quick they had Jay Garrick they had black

flash they have a verse verse 7 but they apparently say when he returns we will

know why I just think it's a plot hole I think I don't know what to do with him

originally thought I'd sin to do his music career but it appears that he's

just been waiting out for a while to kind of give Barry more time to develop

and be the focus if it strange seeing this he's being the flash for Central

City for six months and now he's being casted out after being rejected from

Jesse quick the break-up box but I don't know guys

that's just my opinion tonight's episode will be pretty cool I believe it's

called the journey into the elongated night or something like that so anyway

guys please like subscribe and comment I'll be awesome let me know what do you

think of tonight's episode you excited for it also let me know I've been trying

to improve the quality of water new microphone I'm editing spending longer

editing getting some high quality raised edges I'm trying to live a my

subscribers the best content I can so guys let me know please if I am

delivering you better quality content because I want this channel to grow and

to grow I need through improvements and he's spending longer editing I need to

find higher quality stuff but anyway guys my review for tomorrow for

tonight's episode will be up tomorrow afternoon 4 o'clock

America 4 o'clock GMT time anyway guys hit that notification button that red

button down below if you haven't already and I will catch you in another video

guys very soon catcher later

Vampires: The Science Behind the Myth - Duration: 4:13.

Vampire stories have been popping up for centuries, and some of them are a lot scarier -- and

less sparkly -- than others.

The most common stories involve dead people walking the Earth with pale skin, a fear of

sunlight, and a thirst for blood … but that myth might actually have some basis in scientific

fact.

Really.

Most cultures have some sort of vampire-like story.

In Chinese folklore, for example, there are evil spirits that drain your life away, and

in India, there are legends about demons who used to be people, but weren't cremated

properly.

Mainly, these myths probably came from a deep misunderstanding of how diseases spread.

During epidemics like the plague, people were understandably terrified and needed an explanation

for the apparent randomness of illness.

But the vampire myth that's caught on in pop culture has very specific symptoms, and

scientists believe they might be traced back to actual medical conditions.

The first possible connection is a group of disorders called porphyria, which are caused

by too much of a molecule in your blood called porphyrin.

Your red blood cells mostly contain a massive protein called hemoglobin, which moves oxygen

and carbon dioxide around your body.

And in the middle of hemoglobin is a ring of carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen called a

porphyrin ring.

Normally, enzymes convert porphyrin into another molecule called a heme group.

But for someone who suffers from porphyria, their body doesn't have enough of one of

those enzymes, so the porphyrin builds up and causes problems.

For one, it makes their skin really sensitive to sunlight, and they get painful rashes and

blisters… but only when they go outside.

The excess porphyrin also builds up in their teeth and mouth, causing red or brown discoloration.

It can even look a bit like they've been drinking… well, blood.

Today, porphyria is treatable, but back in the middle ages, it wasn't very well understood,

so people could have made up all kinds of stories about it.

Most kinds of porphyria are also hereditary conditions, so stories could have easily spread

about a group of vampires, or one vampire who infected their family.

Another likely origin for the myth is a condition called pellagra.

Pellagra is caused by a dietary deficiency of two things -- niacin, also called vitamin

B3, and an amino acid called tryptophan.

Normally, your body uses niacin to turn food into energy.

And even if you aren't getting enough of it in your diet, your body will also create

niacin from tryptophan, so everything should still run smoothly.

But when you aren't getting enough of either, things go wrong.

Around 300 years ago, corn started to replace wheat as the food staple for a lot of Europeans.

This was great because it grew really well and was cheap, but it also wasn't very nutritious.

See, even though corn contains niacin, it's not in a form that our bodies can digest.

In Mexico, where corn had been farmed for centuries before it came to Europe, the kernels

were treated with a mixture of water and the mineral lime before use.

That caused a reaction that released all those healthy vitamins, but it wasn't a practice

Europeans brought home with them.

To make things worse, corn also doesn't contain much tryptophan, so there was nothing

for their bodies to convert into niacin.

No matter how much corn people ate, they couldn't get the vitamins they needed, so pellagra

started popping up all over the place.

The symptoms of pellagra actually look pretty similar to porphyria.

Patients are sensitive to sunlight and get terrible rashes if they go outside.

Sometimes, the rash gets so bad that the skin starts to degrade over time, looking pale

and papery.

Their mouths also turn red, and their tongues start to swell.

People are often left with imprints of their teeth in on their tongues, which could have

started the idea that vampires have large canine teeth.

Pellagra can also cause neurons to degenerate in the brain, which can lead to severe mental

illness and insomnia.

Add in a sunlight allergy, and that might explain why the vampires in stories don't

sleep at night.

Now, pellagra and porphyria might explain some symptoms, but the whole "walking dead"

thing might have come from something totally different.

Some think it comes from a neurological condition called catalepsy.

Like epilepsy, it affects signaling in the central nervous system, .

They can't move at all, and their heart and respiration rates slow down until it looks

like they're actually dead.

And since doctors back in the day didn't have access to sensitive machines to measure

whether someone was alive, they often thought someone experiencing a cataleptic seizure

had died.

iAnd what did they do with dead people?

They buried them.

Like you can imagine, if you saw some guy climb out of his coffin, it'd be super hard

for him to convince you he was actually alive and not a blood-sucking vampire.

Ugh.

That's going to give me nightmares.

All three of these conditions still exist, but thankfully, they're much more treatable

or avoidable now.

And at the end of the day, we know they're definitely not anything to be afraid of.

Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow, and Happy Halloween!

If you'd like even more spooky science, you can watch our episode from last year,

where we explain some bloody amazing facts about vampire bats.

Amanda Talks Video With Sid Moore - Duration: 7:12.

Sorry that's my doorbells just rung. pause this bit, sorry! Alright...

I'm here today with Sid Moore from Moore Accountancy Services in Manchester and

Sid's going to be at our workshop on the 15th of November. So I know Sid

because we're both fellow Sage business experts, which is fitting because this is

a SageBizMeetup so I thought we'd have a chat beforehand. I know you've been

doing some professional video for Sage which must be, is it scary? It was I'm an

accountant you know, I'm good with numbers,

not so good talking to people on video and on camera and I'm always very

conscious that I speak too fast and I look silly and my glasses reflect

everything and things like that so I was nervous and to be honest I often still

am nervous it's just something you just have to

deal with I guess if you want to get products out there and if you want to be

able to issue a video. And I think it does, I think that's one of the reasons

people procrastinate about video they it's kind of like you think all these

other things are in the way of you doing it but in fact it's because you're

scared. I'm imagining though for you having like a big crew with lights and

cameras and everything show up in your offices was... It was exciting actually

because me and the team were like oh my God lets put lots of makeup on and do

things like that and I think often when you work from home it's just you guys

and you could be wearing pajamas and who knows, you can still get your accounts

done or the service whatever you're providing still gets done, so we were

really excited but then when the reality came about and they were setting things

up with the bright lights and changing your body to get the right angle and

things like that, that's when I started getting really really scared and I think

it was just the the oh my God what's happening next and and how are people gonna

perceive me on camera that I found quite nerve-racking. And obviously the oh my

God what's gonna happen next is something we can solve if you do our

video workshop because you're in control nobody else is. But then getting over the

nerves is there anything you did that you found help have felt because was the

more than one video shoot or did they shoot them all at once?

Okay so I've done two videos for external parties one was for

Sage and on that one they did one long video shoot so it's really about an hour

and a half which felt even longer in reality and it was a case of two people

were there, one was asking questions, one was doing the filming and they were both

mucking around with the lighting and setting it all up and even for them

actually there was so much stuff that they had to do that didn't even involve

me that was really exciting but that sort of, in a way built up the

nervousness, because you're like when am I going to come onto here when am I

going to be doing it? So I found that a bit a bit, I was weary about

that. And then the other time was for the Business Browth Hub and they did a long

video interview then. And they did it in one long session but in two or three

different parts of the office in the house and so actually that felt a bit

more relaxed because it was broken up more and it was more about me and the

business so I felt more comfortable what I was talking about and because you can

talk about yourself quite easily can't you you know? So I found that a bit

easier and the fact that it got broken up into smaller chunks

I found that easy to deal with as well rather than one long chunk.

Yeah and I think that's something Eamonn talks about on the workshop as well, you

know how you can break things into chunks because the other thing is if

you're giving advice or instructions I think very often I know this is

something Eamonn says as well, you start speaking really fast because you've got to

remember what is it you're gonna say and then your eyes start going to heaven or

just that like that squinty look I did, so I think for me in particular because

I have a memory like a sieve, I think that's great advice.

So Sage are there, big camera, we will get over Sage in a minute but they're very big

camera, lights, you're nervous did you do anything to stop being nervous or did

they give you anything that you could do? They beforehand had given me a list of

questions that they were going to ask which helps because it gave, you had time

then to obviously plan, it wasn't a spur of the moment and so they kept saying in

between you know, look through your notes if you want to, so I think that helped focus

me because I had crib notes I could just go

oh yes, I'm talking about that VAT next oh yes blah blah blah

and that broke things down a little bit and made things easier. And then they

just kept saying say it again, say it again and actually they were looking for a certain

product a certain way of me talking, which you start talking things go off on a

tangent and I found actually we had to re-record things quite a few times, you

know how in always outtakes and videos you have, cut one, cut two? I was like

oh my God was that cut five? By that time you've forgotten what you said the first time which they then said

was really really good, can we go back to that one? And you're like I can't remember

this is like, how much better remember I said and I think you think keeping the

notes helped but obviously one sentence you say it one way you intercept a

different word into it the whole tone changes and you can't avoid that so

hopefully their video editing is great. I'm sure it is so they're not up yet? No

they come out this season. Woohoo you know we'll have to share those when

they come up. Now this has hopefully you've got the taste for video now, we

don't need the big cameras or the lights because what Go Do Video about is just

being able to create it from your phone for, we say next to no budget because we

do show you some things you can buy if you want to upgrade. So you're coming to

the workshop, we're delighted that you're coming. Really excited. What are you

looking forward to learning from the workshop? A couple of different things

and I think obviously the videos I've done already have been for external

third parties I want to have to put some video onto my own website or onto my own

YouTube link so I guess content. I'm a service industry and quite a dry

subject how do you make tax sound exciting? So ways of thinking about that,

maybe brainstorming and planning content. it's a big thing for me and then -

technically I'm great on computers I'm great on Excel and all that stuff but

actually the backend on and how to get it on to YouTube or on to my website and

then drive traffic to it because yeah it's great being on camera but the end

goal is to market your business and your product so it's really how I can develop

that and understand that as well. There's my big things I want to take out.

Brilliant, I think we can sort that for you. Where can we find you

online? We're at www.mooreaccountancy.co.uk and on Twitter I'm @sidmooremanc

OK, really looking forward to seeing you, thanks a million. See you laters

Living w/ Your Parents - Chronic Illness and Disability [CC] // aGirlWithLyme - Duration: 5:56.

[Intro Music. Vincent Tone - New Summits]

Hey everyone, in today's video I want to talk about something that I think a lot of us young

people with Chronic Illnesses deal with. Many of us live at home with our parents.

We're unable to live independently, or support ourselves. Some of us may have

been previously independent and lived on our own, or with roommates until our

Illness or Disability became worse. Some of us may also have lived with our

parents our entire life, and are unable to move out, or live independently

because of our Illness or Disability. And I kind of want to talk about this today

and share my thoughts and experiences with this because, I don't really see a

whole lot of talk about this within the Chronic Illness or Disability community

much. I want to start off by saying that I don't think it's an absolutely, you know,

terrible thing to be living at home with your parents, at any age, for any reason.

Life happens, and things are hard. Its difficult to live on your own in this

day and age, whether or not you make a good amount of money or not. It is really

difficult to live independently. But that being said when you get sick or become

Disabled, especially when you're a child, or teenager, or even in your mid-20s and

you end up staying in the same house as your parents, or having to move back in

with your parents, it can feel like you don't have much freedom or independence,

and you may feel a bit stifled. My parents, they're great parents and I

still feel this way. I am lucky that my parents are able to look after me, and

support me, and take me to and from doctors appointments. I don't take

that for granted at all. But I can't help but feel I really don't have any

independence at all, and it's because I don't. I am unable to live on my own

because of medical and financial reasons. and I have a really hard time accepting

that. I think being sick and Disabled has robbed me so much. It has taken so many

life experiences away from me, and it prevents me from doing so many things. I

would love be independent, and have a place of my own, and not be reliant upon

my family members. It really does hurt me to know that I'm unable to move out, and

live on my own, and support myself on my own, and to grow as a person, and

experience new things. It is a really strange feeling because when I really do

think about it, it makes me sad. I have been in the same bedroom since I was 7,

and I've been in this room every day being sick, and staying sick, and unable

to leave it. I do everything in my room. I eat in my room,

I sleep in my room, I work in my room, I brainstorm YouTube ideas in my room, and

then I film them in my room - so I hardly leave my room because this is really the

only place in the house that is my space and it's where I feel most comfortable.

But I also feel kind of stifled, and trapped in here. I want to redecorate the

room - paint it, get new furniture, have new decorations - but because of my health I

unable to do those things, so even in my own room I'm in an environment where I

don't feel quite satisfied, I'm not content. This is a very strange thing for

me to talk about because I feel like I have a very hard time trying to express

my thoughts and opinions. I guess I just don't really feel content with being

sick and Disabled, and having to rely on people because I am sick and Disabled. Um,

I just wish that I could be able enough to live on my own. So if I don't get

better than I am going to be stuck in this room probably for the rest of my

life, or I'll end up moving in with my sister when she gets a place of her own.

I don't really know what I was trying to achieve with this video. I just hope

that other people out there who are in a similar situation as I am - you've been

in the same room as you were in since a child, and you're sick, you're Disabled,

and you're unable to move out. Just know that you're not alone, you're not the

only one going through this. I guess kind of dealing with not being able to move

on with life, and have the life that you wanted. I don't blame my parents, and I

don't feel like burden to them, I just really would like some freedom, and some

independence, and a bigger space of my own. I hope this video made sense to

someone and you were able to relate. In the comments below I want to know if

anyone else feels the same way that I feel. I am also currently taking video

suggestions, so if you have a video that you would like to see me make, please be

sure to leave it in the comments below and I will be sure to add

my list of videos make. Thank you for watching this video, please be sure to

This retelling of 'The Nutcracker' is a tough nut to crack - Duration: 2:41.

Oh, hello.

I'm Ron Charles.

You may know me as the most magical reviewer in the fairy land of book world.

This week's novel is by Gregory Maguire, the bestselling historian who's uncovered

the shocking truth behind Cinderella, Snow White, and Alice in Wonderland.

Of course, as a book reviewer green with envy, the story of his that really spoke to me was "Wicked."

Kiss me goodbye! I'm defying gravity and you won't bring me down!

Get on with it, Ron.

Who would have thought a good little wife like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness?

Are you done?

You got soap in my eye.

Gregory Maguire's latest exposé is called "Hiddensee."

That's a word no one knows, so the publisher put it in a font no one can read.

In "Hiddensee," Maguire tells the true tale of the Nutcracker.

No, not her.

I'm talking about the Nutcracker immortalized by the classic ballet, which has spread like

kudzu across every dance theater in America.

The Crooked Media keep saying The Nutcracker is part of a Russian plot to influence Christmas.

It's disgusting.

Gregory Maguire's version of this beloved tale begins with a foundling named Dirk who

lives with an old couple in the Bavarian woods.

Convinced that his parents are trying to kill him, Dirk runs away into the human world, traveling from town to town,

but he never really fits in.

I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.

Dirk's only real friend is a young cello player, who is probably gay -- not there there's

anything wrong with that, except that this is Germany in the early 19th century.

As a hero, Dirk is -- how shall we put this -- a bit wooden.

But Dirk isn't the Nutcracker himself.

He's Dirk Drosselmeier.

Someone who stayed awake through the whole ballet told me that Drosselmeier is the toymaker

who arrives on Christmas Eve and gives the Nutcracker to little Clara.

That night, after -- I guess -- getting totally wasted at the party, Clara imagines an epic

battle between the Nutcracker and the Mouse King.

Guns don't kill people: Slippers kill people.

Then the Nutcracker turns into a handsome prince and takes little Clara to the Land

of Sweets....

Anna, cancel my two-o-clock.

This one's a doozie.

Dirk Drosselmeier spends his whole life trying to recapture something from his childhood he can't regain.

Take it from me, Drosselmeier is a tough nut to crack.

I'm Ron Charles, for the Totally Hip Video Book Review, hoping all your sugar plums are ripe.
