Building your own rims! - Build a buggy in your backyard - Duration: 7:53.

Hey folks, great you're watching again

I'm Milo

behind me is my homemade buggy

The rear wheels are too small

I'm going to mount some other ones

The tires which are on there now

are Michelin TRX

TRX is extra ordinary size

There are not many tires in that size

The tires which are available for that are very expensive

I believe they even don't make these anymore

So; what do I have?

Wow, a splendid bug wheel!

This one came of one of the very first bugs

I believe this one was owned by Hitler himself

This wheel is very narrow

That's no good

What are we going to use of it?

The disc

This fits on that axle

Such a rim excists out of several parts

There's the rim on which the tire is mounted

In the middle

There's the disc

and that's welded in there

See the welds

If you cut those

You can hammer the disc out

That simple, let's do it

You saw that I used a tube

to hammer on the edge

You also could use a big hammer

and hit the middle of the disc

But as you can see; this is sheet metal

Then it will get bent

and you will get a new wheel which is bent too

and we don't want that

We don't need that anymore

Bye

We take of this one first

and see how big we can fit

Hoppetay, bye TRX

go for a drive

Yeah.. that's a serious tire

Away!

I want to use this tires

Big tires with not too rough profile

The engine has not enough torque for rough tires

I think this is pretty heavy already

But because they're bald, they can slip

and the engine can loose some power

They're tall, that's good

a lot of clearance

I think you should keep some speed with this thing

But we have an issue, look;

Overhere it doesn't fit, it's not concentric yet

and it's rubbing against that overthere already

That's a pity..

I solve that later

First I cut out the disc

Bigger rims need bigger tools

This is how it should be

But it's important the disc is welded in there straight

It would be handy if it would fit the hub

I can rotate it then and see if it wiggles

Before I weld it completely

It can't be done, because it won't fit yet

So I'm going to modify that suspension arm first

That big wheel won't fit

because it rubs the torsional spring

You also have shorter ones

That won't solve the issue entirely

the tire still would rub against this plate

I could put some rings in between to make it wider

I don't want that

I'm going to take this drum brake off

Cut the suspension arm

and extend it

This one moves backward

I will get more travel distance for the suspension

Suspension gets softer

I can solve that by adding an extra spring in here if necessary

That's no problem

Tinker

Cutting

I reinstalled the bearing cap

To keep the dust out when I'm cutting

I have this nice tube

at least it's heavy enoug

It fits that exactly

Let's see how much we're going to add

I can't add too much

Otherwise the rim hits the suspension arm

It's welded the other way around instantly

The driveshaft won't fit the other way

This is a lot better

I've tilted the wheel a bit like this

The CV joint can't make a sharp angle

That will look a bit stupid..

but it will give some lift too

and I think that's more important than how it looks

That will stick

I'm going to assemble it first to see if it fits

Now there are only a few small welds

I can cut those if it doesn't fit

We don't need the brake to fit

Let's see if it fits!

and if it's a little bit in line

I say; weld it!

The wheels are finished!

I have to admit they're mounted skew

Better mounted skew

than straight and not mounted at all

Succeeded in that

Hey folks, thanks for watching!

See you next time!

How to Bullet Journal with a Smart Notebook - Duration: 18:36.

Do you BuJo?

BoJu?

Oh good heavens, I don't know what I'm even talking about.

Do you bullet journal?

That's what I want to know.

I am going to talk today about how to organize, yes another one of my words I love talking

about.

But this time I want to talk about bullet journaling with your Rocketbook Smart Notebook.

There are a gazillion different things you can see online that talks about bullet journaling.

But I want to focus on using my new favorite gadget, yes, the Rocketbook to bullet journal.

[music]

Hi. I'm Tricia Clements, Chief Fur Wrangler, with MuttButs.com.

I'm a social media manager and consultant specializing in pet businesses and video,

and I want to talk to you about bullet journaling.

For bullet journaling, it's really good for people like me that like to take notes upon

notes and notes upon notes, and have lists upon lists everywhere.

With all these lists, it means papers papers everywhere.

So when I found the Rocketbook Smart Notebook I decided to take another look at bullet journaling

as something I could do and not have papers everywhere.

The best thing about the bullet journaling system is that it's flexible.

Anyone can use it and basically change it to suit your specific needs.

Let's focus on how to bullet journal and incorporate using your Smart Notebook with your bullet

journaling.

The bullet journal was created by Ryder Caroll, and he created it to help track the past,

organize the present, and plan for the future.

That is really something that every entrepreneur they're going to really use.

It's something that I wanted to do for me personally and for my business.

It's basically an analog system for a digital world.

Because if you're like me, I like to write things down.

I am not a fast typer, so when I'm out either at meetings or talking with people I don't

like to actually type in my notes, because I'm slower typing them in which means I don't

get them all, and also I like to be able to write them because I think it helps me remember

them better and what I'm doing.

So I really like to have that hands-on writing for any of my notes that I have.

The Rocketbook Smart Notebook is really BuJoing for minimalists at it's best.

You don't have all of the notebooks and all of the paper everywhere.

The bullet journaling system organizes it all, it gets rid of all the papers everywhere,

and then the Rocketbook Smart Notebook, instead of having a big thick book you have a small

book.

Then year after year, you just scan it in, wipe it off, and start over.

With a lot of things the most important part is to just do it.

If you go online and look at all of the different examples on there you will find, especially

on Pinterest, you're going to find all these beautiful journals.

Okay, when you see mine that's not mine.

I don't have beautiful journals.

My handwriting is messy, and when you see it you'll wonder why I'm not a doctor, because

it's really messy and usually I'm the only one that can read it.

Try to write a little bit neater this time because I want to make sure that you all can

read it.

But also you don't have to worry about it's not beautiful, it doesn't have stickers on

it, it doesn't have in this and that.

The main thing that you need to do is to simply sit down and do it, and it doesn't take very

long.

Okay, the two items that you need to have for your bullet journaling is a notebook,

which in this case we're using our Rocketbook Smart Notebook, and a pen, and in this case

we're using the pen that is erasable for the smart notebook.

Now I do occasionally like to color code things, and I don't necessarily have any specific

color coding, I just like to highlight them.

So I have some really neat highlighter colors too.

There are seven primary components of bullet journaling.

The first starts out with your key, your index, then you have your future or yearly log, you

have your monthly log, you have your daily or rapid log, you have your yearly goals,

you have your others list.

That's where it becomes really really flexible.

Basically any type of list that you like.

If you love reading books and you want to have lists of books that you've read or going

to read, if you have specific inspirational quotes, if you've got a big project you're

working on, use those notes in the bullet journal to keep those things organized.

Then of course the most important thing is migration.

We're going to talk about all of these for your bullet journaling.

I like using the smaller Rocketbook for my journaling because it can fit in to my purse.

The first thing I talked about was the key, and this is basically the key to your bullet

journal.

You can change this up, again this is what best suits you.

So for tasks, I have just a little bullet point there for my tasks.

Events, I have a open circle.

Notes, I just have a dash, and then priority I use my orange highlighter.

Idea, I have a purple exclamation point.

These are different things I will put next to items as I put them into my bullet journal.

I can add and change them as I go as well.

These down here, this kind of tells you what's going on with an individual task.

Once you complete a task, you can take and put x over that.

Or if you migrated it, we'll talk about that in a little bit, you can then do a greater

than symbol.

Or if you've scheduled it do the less than symbol that it's been scheduled.

You need to have a key to reference back, because if you're anything like me, you will

go in and start doing stuff and then say, "Uh-oh what did this mean again?"

You can have additional keys if you have different things that you like to take note of.

However, you want to use to highlight or emphasize them.

The next thing is your index.

Now, I find when I bullet journal with a smart notebook, that the index for me isn't quite

as important.

I do know for people who use a regular notebook, I'm sure it's really helpful to use the index.

Basically what that does is it tells you what page number you've got them on.

As you can imagine my page numbers, they're not quite as large as a regular notebook because

I'm scanning and erasing.

From the index, we are then going to go to the future log, basically the future log is

going to be divided up in months.

We have every single month.

I like to do this in four pages.

I've got the first six months, the next six months I haven't added anything to these yet

because I'm still filling it out.

But for instance, anything that's really big for the month that you know you have coming

up, for instance, in March I know I have a tiny house festival that I'm going to.

I also know on the 17th is the Rescue Dog Olympics.

I might put a little clover here next to that because it is on St.Patrick's day, and that

doesn't look like a clover, but I can do that to make a note of that.

As you can see this just basically is different things that are coming up in the months ahead

that I want to really take note of.

I have a meetup that I'm going to be filling in for a friend, so I've got that here.

I have my tiny house vacation that we are too, so I've got that.

I'm going to be presenting at another WordPress meet up in Woodstock in May, so I make sure

I put that.Of course we're at WordCamp Atlanta.

I'm going to be in Lexington in April as well.

So things like that you know go ahead and put those down in your future log.

The next thing we're going to get to is your monthly log.

These are the things you're going to really start writing and making notes of what you

need to do.

The first page.

What I do is every month takes up two pages.

I will get through so maybe two to three months, and then I'll come back to February and I

will scan, and I will make sure that I have marked my bullet journal here that that is

where it's going to go in my Dropbox folder.

I will scan these and then erase them probably in about two to three months.

Because I may want to come back and see something.

Of course, once I've scanned it, I can always look into the folder that I have on my Dropbox.

What you're going to do for the months go ahead, and you can do it in a different way.

Some people just write them the Sunday through Saturday and then do the months that way.

I find it easy just to do the first through the end of the month then do the days, so

it's Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, so I know what day of the week it is just by

glancing at it.

I may go ahead and put different things here that I have coming up.

And then over here, this is a list of things that I really want to make sure I get done

for the month.

Notice here, I put the little task symbol next to it.

Let's say I'm going to be reviewing my insurance because I know that it is coming up in March,

so let's say once I have that reviewed and done, I'm going to then just exit and I know

that is complete.

That's how the Bullet Journal system works.

You write all of your different things down that you want to do.

Let's just say, for instance, I need to update some affiliate information on my website and

I haven't quite gotten to that.

What I'll do for that is I'm going to migrate.

What I'll do is, this is the migrate, the greater than symbol.

I'm going to migrate that over to March.

Now, I haven't gotten March finished yet, but I'm going to go ahead while we're on here

and say, I'm going to update the affiliate.

That's what migrate means.

I went ahead and made a note here, updating my affiliate information I didn't get to it

in February, so I'm going to migrate it to March.

That's how the Rocketbook works.

You migrate things from month to month that you don't do or you decide maybe you don't

need to do them.

The same for the daily as well.

Let's get to the daily or rapid log.

This is where you're going to go through every single day and have lists on each day.

Now, you can have this larger pages I basically have within two pages is a week.

You can do and have it more than that.

It just depends on how you like to do it.

Basically, I'm going to do notes of things that I want to get done these days.

Here, I want to make sure I research some video topics, complete a lead magnet and send

to a client.

Here I have an event because it's a circle, car washed, once that gets done, I'm going

to exit and say that it is complete.

Now, I may want to come here and do this, make this important because I have a lead

magnet that I want to do, and I want to make sure that I get that done for the client,

so I might want to go ahead and just say, "That's a priority."

I will mark that.

You don't need to use the highlighter pens, but I love highlighters, so I got some highlighter

pens.

But you can use whatever you want.

You can make any type of symbol on that, that you want to that you're going to remember.

The main thing is as each day goes, you are doing things for the day marking them complete,

or migrating them to either the next day, later in the week, and basically just moving

them, either marking them off, moving them down or striking through and say, "That's

not important, I don't really need to do that."

You'll notice when you're doing your list that if something continuously is just on

the list and not getting done, maybe that's something that just doesn't need doing.

Or maybe if it really needs to be done and you're not doing it maybe it needs to be outsourced.

That's a really good way to take a look at everything that you have and see what actually

is getting done.

This is another really cool thing that I like.

This is 2018 goals, and basically this is anything you want.

I just put a few things down here.

I have a Felt class that I want to do.

Margie and I are going to lure chasing.

Tiny house vacation.

I want to make sure Margie and I go swimming.

I got a shed full of stuff from moving that I really want to make sure I get cleaned out

a bit more.

I did some work on it last year and I want to make sure I get that finished.

I want to update my website.

These are just other things that-- more broad topics that I want to get done.

You can add any number of things here.

I do have my tiny house vacation scheduled, but a lot of the others I don't.

What I might want to do is go ahead as we go through the year and see when I can add

these on there and add these to the months and decide if that's something that I can

do.

Now, after that you've got some more blank pages here.

What you can do with that is go ahead and add your different lists of things, for instance,

like we said if you have books that you like to read, inspirational quotes, or if you've

got a big project that you're working on and you need to have specific list about that.

That is how I use the Rocketbook Smart Notebook to bullet journal.

I've showed you how I set up my bullet journal with my Smart Notebook, but exactly why would

I use a Smart Notebook instead of just a regular notebook?

The best thing is because it's reusable.

What I do is after I get a couple of weeks in on my daily log or rapid log, I scan my

daily rapid logs into a BuJo drop box folder so that I have those all setup and I can go

back and refer to them, and then I simply erase and wipe them off and go to the next

few weeks.

That way my daily rapid log, there are going to be lots of those, and that could be pages

upon pages.

I may get through two to four pages, scan them, wipe them and go to the next.

I'm constantly using those are the first pages that I really go through and scan and wipe.

Then next thing are the monthly logs.

They can get quite a few pages long as well, each month is two pages typically for me.

I may go about two to three months and then scan those, wipe those, erase them and then

the next few months.

Once the year is over then I can go in and scan the rest of it, the future log, the yearly

goals, scan those in and put them in my BuJo DropBox folder.

I can refer back to them as well.

And if I want to I can just put them all into one PDF and have that in there for the year

and refer back to them.

Also, use it when I'm making the next year's journal of things that maybe I didn't quite

get to or didn't finish up, and want to migrate to the next year.

Just a few weeks ago I was talking to a group of entrepreneurs and saying how I had lots

of different systems in place that were working, but I really needed a more of an umbrella

to just kind of get them all organized and working together.

For me, bullet journaling with my Rocketbook Smart Notebook has really done that.

I think that this is going to be the umbrella that I need to bring all of my systems together

and help it work like a well-oiled machine.

Give bullet journaling a try with your Smart Notebook and let me know in the comments below

how it worked for you.

And we'd love to hear any tips or anything that you found that was really helpful.
