Let's take a look!

What is he doing?

He is cracking his knuckles.

He's cracking his knuckles.

This is a knuckle.

We crack our knuckles by bending your finger and pressing it to make a popping sound.

It is a form of stretching.

Let's practice this expression together. Please repeat after me.

He is cracking his knuckles.

Very good!

Why You Should Use Flashcards to Learn a Language? - Duration: 4:15.

Hi! This is Cedric from MosaLingua. I hope you're doing well.

In today's video I will show you why flashcards will prove to be your

ultimate ally for language learning.

Let's start with the basics. What is a flashcard?

A flashcard is simply a card with information on it that you want to remember

So for example, if you want to learn a particular word in your target language,

you can use a flashcard with this word you want to learn.

When you flip the card over, you will see what it means in your native language

and you can check to see if you remembered it correctly.

More sophisticated version of a flashcard might include visual aid or

the correct pronunciation - just like the flashcards that are in the MosaLingua apps.

These include an image, an audio recording or an example of the word in context.

I've been using flashcards for a very long time to learn 4 different languages

and I can tell you that they are very effective. But don't take my word for it:

I will prove it to you! So let's say you learned 5 new

flashcards with words or phrases you want to know. This is only the first step

because to make these words stick in your memory you need to review them

several times. Why?

Memories are reinforced each time that they are recalled.

The physical structure of brain cells is affected in a certain way

every time you repeat something, making the memorization process stronger every time.

Children learn their native language very quickly because they repeat the same

thing over and over again during the early years. The problem with repetition

is that you have to deal with your own motivation. If you overdo it, you run the

risk of growing bored of it very quickly.

That's where the Spaced Repetition System comes in handy.

Back in the days, I had to plan my own review sessions

of the vocab list I had learned.

It was boring and hard because more often than not,

I would forget to review. But now with the Spaced Repetition System,

we don't have to worry about that anymore. The SRS model can predict the

exact time when you need to review something you've learned.

This way you spend an optimal amount of time

learning exactly what you need at a specific moment in time.

Amazing, don't you think?

Let me add something about flashcard-learning:

it will strengthen your memory since trying to figure out the translation

of a word or an expression on your own will trigger the recall mechanism in your brain

However, as we saw earlier, too much of it can ruin your precious motivation,

and could possibly make you give up learning altogether...

This is why the MosaLingua apps are based on the SRS system.

Your app plans learning session according to an optimal schedule

that minimize your practice time

but maximizes its efficiency. Plus, you're in control of your learning since

you assess your performance yourself. If you have trouble remembering a certain

word, the system will prompt you to review it more often. For easy ones, the

next review sessions will be scheduled later. This way you will focus on what

matters the most to you, and you won't waste time reviewing things that you already master.

Overall, learning with flashcards will definitely make you remember

new words and expressions in a most efficient way.

Millions of our app users can testify to this

and so can I! This can help you make the most of other

activities too. Such as reading books or watching movies in a foreign language.

So go ahead and dive in! That's all for today.

I hope this video has been useful for you.

Once again we're here to help, so if you have any question, drop a comment

in the section below. Feel free to give us a like if you enjoyed this video (it's free),

Seoul's FM raises unresolved issue of Japan's sexual enslavement of Korean women - Duration: 1:59.

Over in Geneva, South Korea's foreign minister brought to attention Japan's failure to consider

the victims of wartime sex slavery.

She also made sure to include other human rights issues during her address.

Lee Seung-jae has the highlights from the top diplomat's UNHRC speech.

Marking the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Humans Rights in 1948,...

South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha delivered her keynote speech on Monday to

the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.

Among the issues she raised, was the unresolved issue of Japan's sexual enslavement of Korean

women during World War 2.

While she did not name Japan directly,... Kang called for a "victim-centered approach"

to the issue, adding that the victims, now women in their 80s and 90s, were "still striving

to restore their dignity and honor".

Japan formally complained about the keynote speech,... warning that it should not be allowed

to harm bilateral relations at a critical time in east Asia.

Junichi Ihara,...

Japan's ambassador to the UN in Geneva added that Kang's statement was totally unacceptable.

Highlighting the message of "peace and prosperity" the PyeongChang Winter Olympics has sent out

to the world,... Kang also called on the North Korean regime to improve the human rights

of its people,... adding that the isolated state must heed the call of the international

community and abandon its nuclear and missile programs.

"It is imperative to ensure that the spirit of Pyeongchang lives long after the games,

so that peace can take firm root on the Korean peninsula and the dire human rights situation

in the North can be improved."

Kang also threw her support behind the so-called "MeToo" movement in South Korea and the world,...

pledging the South Korean government's commitment to improve gender equality, protecting women's

rights and abolishing wartime violence against women.

U.S. firm on conditions for N. Korea talks; Seoul to pursue mediator role - Duration: 2:22.

With North Korea and the United States talking 'talks,' the most critical now are whether

Washington and Pyongyang are on the same page in term of what they mean by 'talks'... and

whether South Korea's ready and capable to mediate the two.

Oh Jung-hee gives us a closer look on what Pyongyang wants through talks... and how South

Korea plans to communicate with the U.S. North Korea's delegation to the closing ceremony

of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics... repeatedly said the North is willing to talk to the U.S.,

and they laid out no particular preconditions.

It's been pretty rare for North Korea to openly and clearly mention a "will to talk,"... but

the U.S. is standing firm: talks can happen only if they're for denuclearization.

" North Korea, who, by the way, wants to talk -- as of last night you heard that, they want

to talk.

We want to talk also, only under the right conditions."

So President Trump has thrown the ball back to Pyongyang.

If the regime wants to sit down with the U.S., then Kim Jong-un will have to decide whether

he's willing to discuss denuclearization.

But experts believe... what North Korea means by 'talks' would not be about giving up its

nuclear program... but rather a nuclear freeze.

"North Korea may be ready to discuss... first, halting its nuclear and missile tests... and

then, accepting IAEA inspections and stopping its nuclear facilities.

I believe North Korea will reject discarding its nuclear weapons by putting forth conditions

that are difficult to meet."

But the expert added... that this could be enough for the U.S. to see that conditions

for dialogue with North Korea are in place... as the regime's test-firing of ICBMs has been

a tangible threat for the U.S.

On Monday, President Moon urged the North to show a will to denuclearize... but at the

same time said Washington should "lower the threshold" for talks with Pyongyang.

To create a greater room for dialogue between Washington and Pyongyang,... diplomatic sources

say,...

Seoul plans to send its top nuclear envoy to Washington... as soon as this week.

The goal would be to find areas of common interest between the two sides... and ultimately

enable any type of talks step-by-step.

Footage unveiled of Japan's massacre of Korean sex slaves in 1944 - Duration: 0:44.

Footage showing Japanese troops killing women they forced into sexual slavery during World

War Two... was made public for the first time at an international conference on wartime

sex slavery held in Seoul.

The clip was discovered and retrieved last year by a group of Korean scholars and researchers

in the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration.

For 19 seconds it shows part of a massacre on September 13th, 1944... in which 30 Korean

girls were executed by Japanese troops in Tengchong, China.

According to the researchers, more than 70 Koreans were brought to the western Chinese

city to serve Japanese soldiers in front-line brothels.

Only 23 were alive when American and Chinese troops retook Tengchong.

Weird Things Girls Do When They're Alone - Duration: 3:39.

Weird Things Girls Do When They're Alone

There are so many things that you can do while you are alone.

However, girls actually do even weirder things when no one's around.

They do these things not because they are weird.

In fact, it is just because they are bored, and they need something to do to make their

life more colorful.

Additionally, it is because they want to experiment one and two things they think cute.

Here is some weird things girls do when they're alone.

#1 - Nasty pick boogers

It is advanced level of pick boogers that you do because you are able to go further

than you did when you were kids.

This is nasty, but some girls really do that to know whether they can do that longer.

#2 - Long shower

One hour of showering is definitely the best feeling ever, and it is actually not that

long because you will also sing your favorite song.

One more thing, you also try to pee while standing, and it is just satisfying somehow.

Though it is weird, no one is going to complain anyway since you are alone.

#3 - Putting random ingredient

Baking is not always experimental process.

However, this time you put more than enough ingredient to create single cake.

This new experimentation is actually aimless.

You just want to know the effect of each ingredient for aroma and taste.

Some people even don't recommend it, but you do it anyway.

No one wants to comment anyway because no one's around.

#4 - Do things naked

You may have imagined and even planned things you will do without wearing any clothing.

Making coffee, watching TV, and cleaning the house are great start if you haven't planned

anything.

You may also want to do many other things naked including gardening.

However, you should make sure there is no one around because it may be too obvious.

#5 - Dancing

Be it you are good or bad dancer, you will try to walk from room to room while dancing.

This excites you though you are so weird with that kind of activity.

The best part of this activity is that you don't feel tired, and that's maybe because

you enjoy it so much.

#6 - Watching reality show

When you turned on the TV, you may stuck in the middle of reality show, and you keep wondering

why it is possible to have such condition anyway.

Your mind is wandering and thinking how you can be the part of the reality show.

#7 - Try to do things that you are afraid doing

Yoga movement, dancing movement, and other technique that you don't have muscle memory

on will be tried until you can do it.

Sometimes, it works very well that you master a movement.

However, sometimes you fail and you will be interrogated by your friend when you come

to the office the next day because of your bruises.

#8 - Stalking online

While you are alone, you are free to do anything that you like.

That includes stalking people who are around you even though you know you will hurt yourself.

No one will notice that you are crying though.

Well, that's some of the weird things that girls do when they're alone.

So, do you have any weird things to share?
