Waching daily Jan 1 2017

Revan and Malak, now under the influence of the Dark Side, continued to fight for the

Republic against the Mandalorians, freeing captives in the Taris Undercity, and battling

Cassus Fett in Jaga's Cluster.

No longer concerned with Republic casualties, Revan ordered his forces under Jedi Knight

General Meetra Surik, to attack Onderon and Dxun, using a strategy that left 10 republic

soldiers killed for every mandalorian.

Yet Revan's ruthless cunning took a toll on his hated enemies, leading to a campaign

on Althir III which destroyed a large part of the Mandalorian army.

By 3960 BBY Revan had commissioned the creation a superweapon called the Mass Shadow Generator,

built by Zabrak engineer named Bao Dur.

Determined to end the Mandalorian threat once and for all, he laid a trap for them at Malachor

V, sending heavy republic forces to lure them into a final confrontation.

When Revan arrived at the battle, Mandalore the Ultimate challenged him to single combat,

and so they duelled aboard the Mandalore's ship where Revan struck him down.

Yet as the Mandalore lay dying, he removed his mask, saying that he had been manipulated

into starting this war by a red skinned Sith, and suggesting Revan travel to the planet

Rekkiad to confirm the story.

After his death, Revan took the Mandalore's mask as a war prize, and understood he must

learn the truth behind the man's final words.

As the battle raged on, General Meetra Surik obeyed orders and activated the Mass Shadow

Generator, creating an enormous gravitational force, pulling nearly all surrounding ships,

directly onto Malachor's surface, destroying the planet and its population.

Though it came at a heavy cost to the Republic, the Mandalorian Neo Crusaders were crushed

into defeat, with the last survivors quickly offering their unconditional surrender.

Conveniently, many of the Jedi and Republic officers who died at malachor V were noted

critics of Revan's policies who were now unable to continue their opposition.

The Mandalorians were stripped of their weapons and armor, and with their people scattered

and culture devastated, many turned to bounty hunting and mercenary work.

After the war, Revan continued down his dark path, completing construction of an assassin

droid designated HK 47, using it to stealthily eliminate opponents rather than confront them

openly.

And while the former Supreme Commander quickly moved on from the tragedy at Malachor V, back

on Coruscant the Jedi Council was outraged, believing his actions monstrous and demanding

that Revan, Malak and Meetra Surik return to face punishment for their crimes.

Meetra, whose Force powers were suppressed after the trauma of sensing so many lost lives

on Malachor, was the only one of the three to obey the council and return to face judgement,

resulting in her exile from the Order.

Revan and Malak meanwhile, ignored the council and travelled to Rekkiad, investigating the

deceased Mandalore's claims, finding the tomb Sith Lord Dramath the Second and a datacron

revealing the location of the planet Nathema where they might continue their search for

the truth.

But before leaving Rekkiad, Revan hid the Mask of Mandalore, within the tomb of the

deceased Sith Lord.

Continuing their investigation, they discovered Nathema was completely barren of the force,

learning about a powerful Sith Lord who lived during the Great Hyperspace war of 5000BBY,

surviving the Jedi and Republic victory, and gathering remaining sith Lords upon Nathema

to conduct a powerful dark side ritual.

But what Sith Lord Vitiate failed to mention, was that the ritual would destroy all life

on the planet, using their force energy to make himself immortal.

Vitiate then led the last of his followers to the forgotten world of Drumond Kaas and

re-established the Sith Empire in this isolated region, with himself as Emperor.

Revan and malak soon came to realize that it was this long forgotten Sith Emperor who

had been manipulating the galaxy from the shadows, using Mandalore the Ultamite to wage

war against the Republic, as a test of the ruling government's strength, and as a prelude

to invasion.

They then decided to assassinate Vitiate themselves, rather than warn the republic of his plans,

infiltrating the palace with the help of a guard named Yarri, only to discover it was

a trap, with the Emperor using his powers to enter their minds and turn them to his

cause.

Initiating them into the Sith Order, they were henceforth known as Darth Revan and Darth

Malak, sent back to Conquer the Republic in the name of the Emperor.

To aid them in their mission, they were told to make use of the Star Forge, an automated

shipyard, providing them with an unending supply of ships, droids and many other machines

of war.

As Revan prepared for his invasion of the Republic, he recorded a holocron, filling

it with his personal thoughts on the darkside and the relationship between master and apprentice.

This device was left on the planet Lohan and was discovered thousands of years later by

Darth Bane, proving crucial in his development of the Rule of Two philosophy which fundamentally

transformed the Sith Order.

Once in possession of the Star Forge, Revan and Malak broke free of the Emperor's control,

proclaiming themselves leaders of a new Sith Empire, with Revan as Master and Malak as

apprentice.

They then re-established a Sith Academy upon Korriban, training a new generation of Sith

Lords to serve under their command.

With most remembering Revan and malak as Jedi heroes who defeated the mandalorians, and

few seeing a difference between the Jedi and Sith order, the approaching conflict came

to be known as the Jedi Civil War, seeing the first battle fought at Foerost in 3958

BBY, when the new Sith Empire attacked an important Republic shipyard, capturing a large

portion of their fleet.

Yet Revan's strategy called for more than direct military engagement, ordering the assassination

of many prominent Republic figures, in order to cripple their leadership while keeping

the military and political structure of government intact so he might easily assume power when

victory was complete.

Outraged by Revan's treachery, the Echani General Yusanis challenged him to single combat,

but was ultimately defeated and killed by the Dark Lord.

Revan then continued with his grand plan.

focusing heavily on capturing Jedi, in order to torture and turn them to the dark side.

In addition the he allied with the Czerka corporation, offering them an exclusive contract

with the Sith Empire.

And while the invasion of the Republic was proceeding well, a rift began to develop between

the more strategic Revan and his apprentice Malak who valued brute strength.

Their disagreement over how to fight the war, led Malak to see his master's actions as

signs of weakness.

This insult led to a duel between them, wherein Revan struck Malak down, removing the man's

jaw with a strike of his lightsaber.

The Sith apprentice survived, but was forced to wear a prosthesis for the rest of his life.

And while Revan had momentarily regained control, his dream of ruling a united Sith empire soon

came to an end, when a republic trap in the outer rim, led to a Jedi invasion of his ship,

soon becoming surrounded by his light side enemies.

Revan, undeterred, was prepared to fight them all, but his apprentice malak sensing the

situation, and eager to become the new Dark Lord of the Sith, betrayed his master, launching

a devastating attack.

As the ship came under fire, the Jedi Bastilla Shan used the chaos of the moment to knock

Revan unconscious, fleeing from the ship together and using her abilities to create a force

bond between them.

Revan was then taken to Dantooine, where the Jedi Council healed his wounds, but also performed

a ritual to wipe his mind of all memories, giving him a new identity as a Republic Soldier,

so his skills might serve to defeat the Sith Empire he once ruled.

Top 5 Linux Distros of 2016! My favorites this year. - Duration: 4:20.

I'm EposVox here to make tech easier to understand and more fun for you talking today

about the top 5 Linux Distributions (or distros) to end 2016 and move into 2017.

Now, this is a list of my picks based upon my own personal experience with the distros,

popularity among users, what they bring to the table this year, etc.

I'm not focusing just on popularity because the most popular distro list rarely changes

all that much.

Let's jump in.

Coming in at number 5, we have Remix OS.

This is a really cool project that has taken the Android app ecosystem - with full access

to run just about any Android app - and adapted it for the PC platform.

This means full window management with plenty of multitasking, optimization for keyboard

and mouse, a solid file manager, a useful taskbar, and screen capture tools.

They've also just launched an actual hardware device for their OS - the Remix Mini.

I've reached out to see if I can get my hands on one to cover here on the channel

and I'll keep you updated.

Overall, Remix OS is an awesome platform and project - and I really look forward to trying

it out further on the channel.

For number 4, we have Zorin OS.

Zorin is Ubuntu-based and comes with a Windows-like (or macOS-like, if you set it up that way)

graphical interface to make it as user-friendly as possible for newcomers to Linux.

Zorin is touted as one of the most reliable and fast distros to have come out lately - and

reviews on it reflect that.

If you want a Linux distro to train your grandmother or other not-so-tech-savvy friend or relative

on to keep them from getting Windows viruses out the wazoo - Zorin OS is the one to go

with.

The basic "Core" Zorin OS is free, but they do offer the "ULTIMATE" version with

a lot more tools, premium support, and extra visual flair for about 20 bucks if you find

yourself wanting more.

And to anyone about to complain about paying for Linux - good software is never free to

make.

Contribute every once in a while.

Pulling in the number 3 slot, we have elementary OS.

This is another Ubuntu-based distro that is known for its absolutely beautiful graphical

interface and smooth user experience.

Elementary rocks the Pantheon desktop environment - which is just baller - and comes without

many of the bloatware apps that other distros sometimes come with, while still coming with

plenty of handy and familiar apps.

This distro has gained a ton of popularity over the past year, and it's easy to see

why.

It's one of my favorites, when it comes to visual flair.

At number 2, we have the grandfather of most of these distros - Ubuntu proper.

Well - it sounded weird to call it the "father," but I guess Debian would be the true grandfather

here.

...or maybe the great grandfather?

Anyway…

Ubuntu has been one of the most common distros of Linux for a very long time.

Odds are that if you know what Linux is - even if you've spent 5 seconds Googling it - you

have heard of Ubuntu.

If not…

I..I don't know.

Look it up.

Ubuntu is maintained by Canonical - a for profit company - but they've done a great

job of pushing the Linux Desktop platform forward and helping make it what it is today.

Many common Linux distros are just flavors of Ubuntu, and for good reason.

Ubuntu features an intuitive interface running Unity, and is focused on user-friendly free

software.

And at number one… we have…

You probably guessed it by now…

Linux Mint!

Yep, Linux Mint has begun to pass up Ubuntu in popularity among users.

Mint is more community-driven - spawned from disagreements with decisions from Canonical

and a desire to do more with Ubuntu, Mint has earned a strong following.

Primarily featuring the Cinnamon and Mate…

Matte..

Whatever… desktop environments, it looks great, runs great, and has huge access to

a plethora of software packages.

10 Controversial Moments of Censorship in Popular Cartoons - Duration: 9:00.

10 Outrageous Moments of Censorship in Popular Cartoons

Who doesn't love a cartoon?

Censors, that's who.

For over a century, cartoons have been delighting audiences young and old... and for almost

just as long, censorship boards have been chasing after them with wagging fingers.

Sometimes, what the censors see is obvious, leaving us to wonder who in their right mind

thought it would be a good idea to put THAT in a cartoon – and other times, their decisions

seem to make no sense at all.

Here are 10 outrageous moments of censorship in popular cartoons.

Family Guy Despite being neither as clever as The Simpsons

nor as offensive as South Park, Family Guy nicely fills the space between those two shows.

A couple of episodes have been banned in the past – but in those cases, the episodes

were never even made.

Fox turned them down outright, and that was that.

However, that doesn't mean the animators don't have strong feelings about censorship rules.

They aired their grievances in the episode "PTV," which follows Peter's quest to

run a censorship-free TV network after the FCC starts cracking down too hard on other

stations.

The agency gets wind of Peter's project and heavily censors it.

Then things begin to spiral out of control as they start to censor all the citizens of

Quahog in their private lives.

Though nothing about the episode was actually ever censored, it sharply pointed out how

censorship can go too far and end up making things seem more risque than they actually

are, and for that, we had to give it a nod in this list.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Chances are, if you were born in the last

40 or so years, the Heroes in a Half Shell were a part of your childhood.

The cartoons and movies are pretty kid-friendly, but it's understandable that some parents

might get hung up on the show's violence.

However, when the original cartoon was released, Great Britain decided to take it a step further

and play national parent, with confusing results.

The country's censorship board opted to change the show's name to Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles

for no apparent reason.

Furthermore, Michelangelo's nunchakus were replaced with a turtle-themed grappling hook

– but none of the other turtles' weapons were changed.

Now sure, nunchakus can be dangerous, but not generally as dangerous as, for example,

Leonardo's razor-sharp katana.

It was just a strange censorship job from start to finish.

The Rescuers Disney's 1977 animated film The Rescuers is

a good-natured tale of mice on a mission to rescue an orphaned boy from his abusive relatives.

It's typical Disney fare for the time, G-rated and wholesome enough for the whole family.

So imagine the surprise when someone noticed a tiny flash on their late-'90s video release

of the film that looked slightly out of place, and discovered that two frames had a photo

of a topless woman pasted into the background.

This sort of thing isn't totally unheard of, but what makes The Rescuers unique is how

strangely Disney handled it.

They announced the problem before there was any widespread knowledge of it, and implied

that it may have been in the original theatrical release as well.

They also said that an earlier 1992 release wasn't affected because it was made from a

different print.

To this day, nobody's really sure what the company was doing, but the censorship was

still probably a good idea in any case.

Sailor Moon Thailand is well-known for making some odd

censorship decisions.

Fans of CBR know, for instance, that the country permanently banned all future Grand Theft

Auto games after one man claimed GTA 4 inspired him to murder a cab driver.

But for sheer strangeness, this one has to take the cake.

Sailor Moon isn't what most people would call a sexually suggestive show.

Sure, there are some short skirts, and some brief, sheer silhouettes of the Sailor Senshi

during their transformations, but by and large, this is a show made to appeal to preteen girls

– heavy on friendship, true love, and cute outfits; light on the sex and violence.

Thailand, though, apparently disagrees.

The country once famously blurred out the main character's plain-Jane pink one-piece

swimsuit in a particular episode, as though her bare arms and legs were enough to provoke

controversy.

According to online comments, Thai fans weren't very impressed either, but that was, nevertheless,

the version of the episode they got.

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut Anyone who's even a little familiar with Matt

Stone and Trey Parker's long-running cartoon series knows that it's no stranger to controversy.

It pushes almost every envelope and gleefully offends just about anybody it can.

Because this has always been the show's calling card, it actually hasn't been censored as

much as some people might think – the people who broadcast it know exactly what to expect.

Not so with the show's infamous feature film, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut.

As Stone and Parker tell the story, the notoriously fickle MPAA wouldn't approve the movie's original

name, South Park: All Hell Breaks Loose, because of the word "hell" in the title.

The creators knew this was a bogus reason, so as revenge, they changed it to a penis

joke that technically had no foul language in it.

They were astonished when the MPAA approved it with no further ado.

Peppa Pig Peppa Pig is a popular TV character for young

children in Great Britain and elsewhere in the Commonwealth.

Peppa and her friends and family have small, safe adventures that help teach children how

to understand and appreciate the world around them.

If we had to pick a winner for "least offensive cartoon ever," Peppa Pig would be a finalist.

Even so, one episode of the show managed to earn a country-wide ban in Australia.

The offending show was all about a small black spider Peppa meets.

Though she's scared at first, she soon learns that the spider is harmless and befriends

it.

This is all well and good in the UK, where poisonous spiders are very rare, but in Australia,

they're a significant public health hazard.

We can't blame the Aussies - talk about sending the wrong message to kids!

Steven Universe Cartoon Network's beloved series Steven Universe

is a lot of things: it's wildly inventive, a creation of some of the same minds behind

Adventure Time.

It's whimsical and fantastical, with its own intricate lore to be learned and explored.

And it's about as straight as a circle.

The show explores gender identities and personality traits – in a very gentle, non-sexualized

way – with a cast of characters called Gems who have very different traits, but can merge

to become new Gems with a surprising mixture of the traits from the previous two.

This has been going on for a while now, with only a few ruffled feathers.

But one episode was censored in Britain for a scene in which one female Gem squeezes another

in order to make the other's male partner jealous.

Cartoon Network's UK censors were worried it might confuse children about parental roles

– but by the same logic, the whole show might very well do that.

There doesn't seem to be any reason why this single episode should stand out.

Dragon Ball Following the exploits of Son Goku from early

childhood up to the cusp of adulthood, Dragon Ball is the gleeful action-adventure show

that first introduced Son Goku to the world.

Written for a Japanese audience, the show followed Japanese conventions for the time,

using young Goku's innocent bouts of nudity and curiosity about other people's bodies

as a source of gentle humor, and using female nudity for some slightly raunchier laughs.

Needless to say, neither of those things fly very well on a children's cartoon in the West.

The question early importers faced was not whether to censor Dragon Ball, but how.

And the answers?

Well, they're pretty hilarious.

Dragon Ball's original North American release abounds with everything from strategically-placed

leaves and branches to bizarre substitutions, like swapping out a loose pair of woman's

underwear for a clip-art image of folded American money.

The Simpsons The Simpsons got as popular as it is by mastering

a balancing act.

It's satirical without being too grim, and edgy without pushing the envelope too far.

However, one country's "just right" can end up being another's "too far," as the

show revealed in 2002.

In the episode "Blame it on Lisa," the Simpsons find themselves in Rio de Janeiro,

Brazil.

In typical Simpsons fashion, the city and its people are a rude parody of cultural cliches

and stereotypes.

However, Rio's tourism board didn't see it that way.

The episode caused a national uproar.

The board claimed that it was damaging to Rio's international reputation, and announced

it was planning a lawsuit against Fox for airing it.

Eventually, someone told them about the first amendment to the American constitution, which

protects parodies and satires, and they were forced to back off.

But Fox still issued them an apology just to be safe.

Pokemon Electric Soldier Porygon.

Some people who hear that episode name will already know exactly what it was and why it

got banned.

For everyone else, here's the short version: The episode didn't have any objectionable

content, but it did include an animation that flashed bright red and blue lights very rapidly

for a few seconds in a seemingly random pattern.

That short sequence wreaked havoc on people with epileptic photosensitivity, hospitalizing

nearly 700 viewers in Japan, some for as long as 2 weeks.

Needless to say, the episode was yanked, and the show went on hiatus for a few months while

the animators presumably checked to make sure they hadn't accidentally created any other

visual time bombs.

To this day, Electric Soldier Porygon has never been rebroadcast outside of Japan.

What instances of cartoon censorship surprised or confused you?

Ever see something that snuck past the censors?

Ever wish they'd caught it, or do you prefer to play along with the writers and animators?

Give this video a thumbs up and tell us all about it in the comments below.

video games, and much more.

Rumor: Nintendo Switch Not Getting Two AAA Games! | Give It Thought - Duration: 3:29.

Welcome back to Give It Thought.

As always, I'm Jake and let's take a look at the latest rumors about which games are

and are not coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Well it looks like the famous, or infamous to some people, Nintendo leaker, the one miss

Laura Dale has struck again.

Here she is pictured proving her legitimacy on a Reddit AMA a few days ago.

But, according to her neither the next entry in the Mass Effect franchise nor Red Dead

Redemption 2 will be hitting Nintendo's upcoming console.

Before we get too deep, I wanted to say one more time that all this information is not

confirmed, just rumors.

This may not be surprising to some people, including myself, because you just see patterns

over the years and never really expect Nintendo to embrace a developer like Rockstar.

Sure, we've seen a few games hit the Nintendo platform, like Bully's special edition on

the Wii and Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars on the DS.

But, as far as Rockstar's main titles, like your Red Dead Redemptions and your Grand Theft

Autos, you don't really see Nintendo showing them much love.

I'm not sure if it is because of technical proficiency, because we know Nintendo's

specs haven't been on-line with the current gen consoles for a while, or if it is Nintendo's

occasional negative view on violence.

I say occasional because every now and then they go against that.

But, whether it is either one of those variables, or a combination of both, rumor has it, Red

Dead Redemption 2 will not be making it over to the Switch.

It's also worth noting that Rockstar has this new-fangled deal with Sony that reportedly

has Red Dead Redemption made to play better on the PS4, but that deal could influence

their decision to downgrade their games to fit another platform, like the Switch.

As far as Mass Effect: Andromeda goes, which will be another HUGE game, maybe even bigger

than Red Dead Redemption 2, the specs of the Switch may not be able to support it, or EA

and Bioware could be looking at the series' last attempt on the Wii U and those low sales

numbers.

That is what Dale thinks is the culprit behind EA's decision to ignore the Switch this

time around.

Dale did say she has sources telling her a Rabbids RPG game will be coming to the console,

which I am sure EVERYONE is excited about.

I don't know, I hesitate to say that because you might be a fan.

If you are, no hard feelings.

But she also says Nintendo will have a brand-new, unannounced IP to show off on January the

12th, which is not too long a wait from now.

She also said she suspects that the system will have up to three third-party titles to

show off, but there's no guarantee they will be good.

Again, all of this is pure conjecture and nothing is confirmed at this point.

As far as actual information on the Switch goes, we'll be waiting for that January

12th date before we get any more official information most likely.

All we have to go on now are theories and these leakers, that like them or not, exist

and are a source of information.

Whether you should trust them…

well that's up to you to decide.

But, I just wanted to catch everyone up on the possible(?) news about what is coming

and what is not coming to the Nintendo Switch.

So, what do you think about these rumors?

Will you be upset to not see Red Dead 2 in a portable version?

Or were you not counting on it in the first place?

Be sure to tell me your opinions on this down below.

And I think that's where I'm going to wrap it up.

I'm going to try and do two smaller videos today, see how that goes, and maybe try that

out for a little while.

The longer ones just don't seem information packed enough for me.

But be sure to like and subscribe and follow me on twitter @giveitthought1, links are in

the description.

Thank you so much for watching and remember: give thought to everything.

-------------------------------------------

Not all opinions are valid | Riley J. Dennis - Duration: 6:50.

There are people living today, in 2016, who honestly believe that the Earth is flat.

Now the thing is, those people are allowed to have that opinion.

You're allowed to have whatever opinion you want.

But that doesn't mean that that opinion is valid or that it should be a part of our modern discourse.

Because I think we can all accept -- or at least most of us -- that the Earth is not

flat, the Earth is round, we live in a solar system, we orbit around the sun.

And these are just basic facts that we have to accept because know them to be true because

there's a lot of scientific evidence.

But like with most things, it's a theory.

It's a very well-accepted theory, but it's a theory nonetheless, like the theory of gravity,

which I think we all pretty much accept as fact at this point, but it's still a theory.

But flat earthers have their own theory, and they have their own ways of explaining away

our scientific evidence to suit their agenda.

The reason I bring this up is because I think it's a really obvious example that we can

all think about and conceptualize.

Like, we all know that the Earth is round, and we can all laugh about how ridiculous

it is that there's still a group of people that believe the Earth is flat.

So I think we would also agree that it would be very ridiculous to have a debate in today's

day and age with a round-earther and a flat-earther and to have them present their evidence and

like make an argument for it and make a big spectacle out of it.

That would be false balance.

That would be pretending that these two sides have equal weight and we have to talk about

both if we're gonna talk about one.

And I think there are a lot of people who, in totally different situations, will say

that there should always be a compromise, that you can always be in the center of something

and find common ground between people.

But there's no common ground between people who believe the Earth is round and people

who believe the Earth is flat.

There's no compromise where the Earth is like a puffy pancake that's like in between being round and flat.

You can't have these two people come together and argue and try to reach some sort of compromise

where they can agree that both of them have valid points, because one of them has valid

points and scientific evidence, and the other does not, they just made it up.

And this applies, surprise surprise, to a lot of other stuff going on in our world, socially and politically.

Let's take climate change for example.

There is a ton of scientific evidence for climate change, and yet, there are still people

who deny it, and we're supposed to treat them like they have a valid argument, but they

don't, because the science is in and we know that climate change is happening

and that it's caused by humans.

So if someone says that climate change is not happening and humans are definitely not

causing it, they don't have a valid opinion.

They're just wrong.

There's no compromise between it is and isn't happening.

It's just -- it's happening!

And we have to do something about it, and it's a very damaging opinion to just deny

facts and deny that climate change is real.

There's also vaccinations, like, vaccinations are a very good thing that do not cause autism

and that help people stay healthy.

Anti-vaxxers do not get a say here because they are wrong.

They make claims that are based on false evidence.

There's no like, "Oh maybe we should kinda look into vaccines."

No!

They're just wrong.

They do not cause autism, there are not problems with them, they make us healthier, they save

a lot of people -- vaccines are good, end of story.

And of course there are always going to be topics where both sides have good points and

where we do need to find compromise, but there's a lot of situations where that's not happening,

and we pretend like it's happening.

And I feel like that especially happens in politics.

Like, people who consider themselves politically in the center feel like they're right just

because they're in the center.

They see themselves as the compromise of the left and the right.

They see themselves as taking the good from the left and the good from the right, and

rejecting the bad from the left and the bad from the right, and they are the perfect compromise.

But that's just not how it works.

Like being in the middle of two arbitrary points doesn't automatically make you right.

Compromise is not always a good thing.

On one side we have people saying that LGBT+ people deserve respect, should be treated

equally under the law, and should be protect from discrimination.

And on the other side we have people saying that LGBT+ should be denied their basic human

rights and not be treated equally under the law.

These are not equal stances.

We do not get to find compromise between those.

When we're talking about our humanity and our rights, we have a right to fight for those

-- in their entirety, not in pieces as we compromise.

There is no compromising on our basic human rights.

And I know we're always talking about how divided we've become as a country and how

partisan, but I don't think the answer is reaching across the aisle and shaking hands with a Nazi.

Because that's exactly what this new administration is being filled with.

Trump's cabinet is already full of White Nationalists.

These are people who are openly misogynistic and anti-semitic, and they use the term "alt-right"

to make them sound like some sort of kooky, quirky, new-age right-wing group.

There's a reason the KKK is in the streets parading and celebrating Trump's victory.

It's because his ideology lines up with the ideology of the KKK.

The "alt-right" people he surrounds himself with are modern day Neo-Nazis.

So I don't think that's a thing we should compromise with.

I don't think we should compromise with White Nationalists and Nazis.

But I've already made a whole video about how we shouldn't normalize Trump's White Nationalism,

so let's go back to talking about other things.

I just... can't get my mind off the election and all of that, you know.

So there's a lot of other areas where we could talk about false balance and compromise and

stuff, but I've been running into this a lot lately with my own channel.

Because people tweet me or comment on my videos or something saying, "Ah, you won't debate

this idea, it's because you're afraid you're gonna lose."

That's not how that works.

It's just not.

That's not a logical conclusion to come to when someone doesn't wanna debate you.

There's like a million and a half reasons someone might not wanna debate you, but one

of those might be, you just don't have a valid viewpoint, and you're not worthy of being debated.

You are the flat-earther of whatever your topic is.

Like there are people to this day who don't believe that homosexuality is real, they just

don't think you can be gay.

And I don't think we should give those people a debate.

There's soooo many resources out there, that debate has been had, we recognize that being

gay is a real thing -- I'm not gonna waste my time debating someone like that.

And the same thing goes for transgender issues.

Like if someone just doesn't believe that being trans is a real thing... there's probably

nothing I could say at this point to convince them.

And a debate would just be pointless.

You know, like there's not point in having a debate with someone who's rejected all logic and reason.

There's no reason for me to debate a flat-earther because I'm never going to convince them -- no

matter what evidence I have, I won't convince them that I'm right and they're wrong.

And it's the same thing with people who don't believe that being transgender is real.

No matter what I say, no matter what evidence I present, they're going to be in their opinion,

they just want someone to yell about it to.

And I don't have to be that platform for ignorant people to yell their ignorant things.

Of course, I think it's important to educate people, and if I feel like someone is genuinely

asking questions and genuinely wants to know something, I don't have a problem like talking

and explaining things.

But when it's someone who clearly has an agenda and all they wanna do is yell about how you're

wrong, and they're not actually going to listen to you, then there's no point in having a debate.

And again there's no compromise between people who think that being transgender is real and

people who don't.

It's not like we can be kind of real -- we just are.

And yes, those people need to be educated, but if they refuse to be educated... there's

nothing you can do about that.

And a debate is pointless, and you're not going to find compromise.

So, I don't know, this video kinda jumped all over the place.

But there was a lot of points in there and I hope you took notes.

I just had a lot of feeling about this recently because it applies to so many things in life.

So I just needed to talk about it.

I hope this can be helpful to you in some way.

I hope you don't feel like you have to debate every single ignorant person in the world.

Have you guys ever felt this way?

Have you ever experienced something similar?

Let me know down in the comments what other situations this might apply to.

So that's the whole video.

Thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you next time!

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge Body Armor Guard Kit, 5 Pieces, Black (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 5:55.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the Rugged

Ridge Body Armor Guard Five Piece Kit fitting all 2007 and up Wranglers.

This is available for both the two-door and the four-door Wrangler, and it is available

in this diamond-plate pattern as well as a smooth matte black pattern, so there are a

couple of different options available.

Today we're going to talk through the installation of this kit which is a very simple one out

of three wrench installation.

We're also going to talk a little bit about the construction and a few of the features

of this kit.

Now, even though this is called Armor by Rugged Ridge, these are plastic pieces, so they're

not going to offer a ton of hardcore protection.

These will offer protection against some door dings, some scratching and they'll cover up

some damage if you already have it.

However, they're not going to protect against any sort of real hardcore damage, so that

it is important to remember.

What these will do, as I mentioned before, give you some protection but really, they're

designed to change the look of your Jeep.

This five-piece kit will change your Jeep from every angle, the front, the sides, and

the rear and really give it a much more rugged and unique look all with a very easy installation.

As I mentioned, these are plastic pieces.

These are all made of a UV treated thermoplastic, so it is flexible, it's not going to crack

or break easily.

And because it's UV treated, it won't fade in the sun over time.

It'll stay black for a good, long time.

It is available in both the diamond-plate pattern if you're somebody who's into that

look or you can get them in a smooth matte black finish as well which is my personal

preference but it's really up to you and the look you like on your Jeep.

One of the really nice things about these parts is they will install very, very easily

with 3M adhesive.

So they're going to install very quickly and easily and give you that drastic change all

at a lower price than if you were to go out and buy hardcore protection pieces to go in

place of these.

Now, of course, if you're doing hardcore wheeling and you need that protection, go out and get

the true armor.

But if you're staying on the road or on the light trails and you just like this look,

that's where this kit comes in.

Like I said before, this does change the look of your Jeep from every angle.

This is going to give you your hood guard, your rocker guard pieces, and your rear corner

guards, so you're going to have everything you need to drastically overhaul the look

of your Wrangler.

Like I said before, I am giving this installation a very simple one out of three wrenches.

All of these pieces will install with 3M adhesive.

And some of them will use bolts but they are going to go into existing holes, so you don't

have to drill anything, and in some cases, they even use existing hardware.

Anytime you're using 3M adhesive to attach anything to the outside of your Jeep.

You just want to make sure that the surface that you're sticking it to is very, very clean.

Use a good alcohol-based cleaner and these are going to stick and stay put where you

put them for a long time until you want to remove them.

That is one of the benefits of parts like this that install with 3M.

When you do want to remove them, there's no permanent modification to your Jeep, and you

can go back to a stock look.

Aside from having a really clean surface, you're also going to want to stick this 3M

adhesive to your Wrangler when it is pretty warm out.

If you're doing this in the winter time, you're going to want to do it in a heated garage.

Otherwise, the 3M adhesive isn't going to set up very well, and it won't stick properly.

So do this when it's 60, 70 degrees out, follow the instructions, make sure your surfaces

are nice and clean and these are going to stick on really well.

Now, even though this is just 3M adhesive and a couple of screws, there is a little

bit of disassembly necessary to get some of these pieces installed.

For instance, this back corner you do have to remove your license plate bracket in order

to get that rear corner guard in place.

And in order to get to the bolts of the license plate bracket, you may have to loosen up your

bumper bolts as well.

Over here you'll have to snap the plastic hinge covers for your tailgate off and up

here in the front, you are going to have to remove a couple of nuts that are holding your

upper hood latches in place.

On a side here, there is no disassembly that is necessary.

You'll simply attach these with the 3M adhesive and a couple of screws that go through your

pinch seam.

Again, all the hardware is included.

Installation of all these parts is probably going to take you less than two hours to do,

and again, you're not going to need any specialty tools.

Just a couple of hand tools and an alcohol-based cleaner.

As far as the pricing goes for this kit, you can probably piece together these five parts

for about the cost of the five-piece kit.

You're not getting a big discount for buying all five of them together, but they're also

not charging you more for the convenience of having them all in one box.

So if this is a look you like, if you like being able to see the body armor from all

four sides of the Jeep, you want this full kit.

This is a nice, easy way to get that.

Now, as far as the quality of the pieces you're getting for the price, I do think you're getting

some pretty high-quality stuff.

Almost $300 for parts that are just appearance pieces might be a little bit much for some

of you.

However, if you like the look of these, you are going to get a really well-made part that

fits really well and does drastically change the look of your Wrangler.

So if you don't have the budget, or you just don't need hardcore protection pieces, but

you want to change up the look of your Jeep and make it look a little bit more rugged,

then this is going to be a really nice option for you.

This is going to change the look of your Jeep from all four sides and do it for less than

$300.

So that's my review of the Rugged Ridge Body Armor Guard Five Piece Kit fitting all 2007

and up Wranglers that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Health benefits of honey - Benefits of honey - How honey is good for health - Duration: 3:37.

Health Benefits of Honey.

1.

Prevent cancer and heart disease.

Honey contains flavonoids, antioxidants which help reduce the risk of some cancers and heart

disease.

2.

Reduce ulcers and other gastrointestinal disorders.

Recent research shows that honey treatment may help disorders such as ulcers and bacterial

gastroenteritis.

3.

Anti-bacterial, anti-fungal.

"All honey is antibacterial, because the bees add an enzyme that makes hydrogen peroxide,"

said Peter Molan, director of the Honey Research Unit at the University

of Waikato in New Zealand.

4.

Increase athletic performance.

Ancient Olympic athletes would eat honey and dried figs to enhance their performance.

This has now been verified with modern studies, showing that it is superior in maintaining

glycogen levels and improving recovery time than other sweeteners.

5.

Reduce cough and throat irritation.

Honey helps with coughs, particularly buckwheat honey.

In a study of 105 children, a single dose of buckwheat honey was just as

effective as a single dose of dextromethorphan in relieving nocturnal cough and allowing

proper sleep.

6.

Balance the 5 elements.

Honey has been used in ayurvedic medicine in India for at least 4000 years and is considered

to affect all three of the body's primitive material imbalances positively.

It is also said to be useful in improving eyesight, weight loss, curing impotence and

premature ejaculation, urinary tract disorders, bronchial asthma, diarrhea, and

nausea.

7.

Blood sugar regulation.

Even though honey contains simple sugars, it is NOT the same as white sugar or artificial

sweeteners.

Its exact combination of fructose and glucose actually helps the body regulate blood

sugar levels.

Some honeys have a low hypoglycemic index, so they don't jolt your blood sugar.

8.

Heal wounds and burns.

External application of honey has been shown to be as effective as conventional treatment

with silver sulfadiazine.

It is speculated that the drying effect of the simple sugars and honey's

antibacterial nature combine to create this effect.

Studies have shown honey to be very successful in healing wounds.

9.

Probiotic.

Some varieties of honey possess large amounts of friendly bacteria.

This includes up to 6 species of lactobacilli and 4 species of bifidobacteria.

This may explain many of the "mysterious therapeutic

properties of honey."

10.

Strengthen the immune system.

Honey has been found to stimulate the production of immune cells according to a study at the

School of Medicine, Cardiff University, UK.
