KENNETH: I'm talking to you about the absolute integrity of
this written Word and the integrity of anointed teaching
of this written Word. (Singing) I know my God has made the way
for me. I know my God has made the way for me.
ANNOUNCER: Welcome to the Believer's Voice of
Victory. Join Kenneth Copeland today as he
teaches about strengthening your faith in the written
Word of God and allowing the Word to govern
your thoughts. Now, here's Kenneth Copeland.
KENNETH: Greater is He that is in you than
he that is in the world." Mm, mm, mm, mm. The
greater One-- Say it, "The greater One lives on the inside
of me." Oh, my, my, my, my, my. "My faith is growing. The fruit
of the Spirit is growing: Love, joy, peace, goodness. Our
gentleness, goodness--" Hallelujah. "--faith, kindness,
meekness, temperance." (Praying in the Spirit) "Listen to my
meekness, temperance." (Praying in the Spirit) "Listen to my
Word," saith the Spirit, the spirit of grace. "I have great
desire to manifest My presence around you. But My presence is
the love of God. My presence is the grace of the Father. My
presence is all of these things listed here in Galatians 5. And
when you are--when your words are stout against Me, then I
can't manifest Myself like I desire. I said in My Word, 'He
that loves me keeps My commandments, or you do what My
Word says for you to do. I will love him. My Father will love
him. And I will manifest Myself to him. These are the times of
My mercy and My grace. These are the days that I have chosen to
pour out Myself upon all flesh like never before in the history
of this planet. So listen carefully to My voice. Listen
carefully to those things that you are being taught because
this is spirit and this is truth. And they that hear and
worship Me in spirit and in truth will surely know My voice,
will surely become strong in faith. And you can become as
much like Me as I am like My Father,' saith the Lord Jesus
Christ. "And understand that I love you, I love you, I love
you. And I will never ever let you go.'" Oh, thank You, Father.
Thank You, Father. Mm. Let's just--let's praise Him for a
moment. Oh, praise You, Father. Praise You, Lord. Jesus, we give
praise and worship to You. Help us, Lord. We receive Your help.
Say, "The greater One, the Spirit of the living God who is
greater than he that's in the world is in me right now working
with my spirit, working on and in my mind, healing my body. And
I have the joy of the Lord because I have the love of God.
And I receive these words and teachings because I have faith
in my heart and I believe it in my heart and I say it with my
mouth. And I thank You that it does come to pass." Now just
give Him praise. And, oh, glory to God. Hallelujah. Thank You,
Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Well, I'm not through praising. Just
help me praise God. Now--thank You, Lord Jesus. Mm. My, my, my.
Glory, glory, glory, glory, glory. Thank You, Lord. Thank
You, Lord. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Praise You,
Lord. Thank You, Lord Jesus. All right, glory. Glory be to Jesus.
Thank You, Father. Now, let's--let's refresh ourselves
again. Let's go over to Mark 11. Faith is of the heart, not the
head. Say it with me, "Faith is of the heart, not the head." Say
it again, "Faith is of the heart and not the head or the mind."
Jesus said, in Mark 11:22, "Jesus answering said unto them,
Have faith in God," or have the faith of God. "For verily I say
unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain--" Now,
whosoever, anybody can do this. Any born-again believer can do
this, and this is the way you get born again. "Whosoever shall
say unto this mountain--" I want you to notice something here.
And I learned this from Brother Hagin many years ago. I'm going
to use "say" on this side, and I'm going to use "believe" on
this side. Are you with me now? "Verily I say unto this
mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and
shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those
things which he saith--" Let's back up a little bit. I messed
this thing up. "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou
removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and not doubt in his
heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith
shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." He
used the word "believe" once and "saying it" three times. Now,
what does that tell us? This tells us that we have been
taught, over the years, as people and believers--we've been
taught to believe--but very, very, very small amount compared
to the overall. There's more now than there's ever been, but it's
still small compared to the whole body of Christ--the
importance of words connected with believing because you
believe it in your heart, but you hadn't released it when you
believe it in your heart until you say it with your mouth.
"Therefore I say--" Now, see, Jesus turned right around and
used it. He did the very same thing that He was talking about.
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when
you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have
them. And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have
ought against any." Now let's talk about that aspect of it
here for a moment. Faith will not work if you have an air of
unforgiveness about you. Now, notice he said that right there.
"When you stand praying, forgive." "Well, Brother
Copeland, I've been--you know I've been a long time trying to
do that." No, He didn't say, "try to do it," and it don't
take long. He said, "when you stand praying." You can't stand
there two weeks! While you're praying, I mean, do it right
now. "You don't know what they did!" It don't matter what they
did. You've got a commander-in-chief, His name is
Jesus. It don't make any difference what you think about
it. You have an order from command. You have an order from
heaven to do it! Whether you like it or not. "Sir! Yes, sir!
They're forgiven! Amen. Come on faith, work!" And then, you
know, you go to church Sunday and there she comes, right
there, just bigger than all get-out. There she is. (Snarls)
"I thought I forgave her!" That forgiveness was an act of your
will, not your feelings. Don't let the devil throw you with
that. Say, "No, no, no, no." Say, "Nope, nope, nope, nope. I
chose to forgive, and I did that in the name of the Lord Jesus
Christ of Nazareth. Now shut up feeling!" Those are
just--those--those are physical and mental feelings and emotions
that you took some time to develop. And you're going to
have to take authority over them and put them down, put them
where they belong. And faith does that, "Casting down
imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against
the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity every thought to
the obedience of Christ Jesus." Amen. So do it! That's what
you're called to do. Do it! And Jesus will back you. The Holy
Spirit will come up in there. You just keep on, "Well, I'm
looking to feel something." Quit that feeling. Cut the feelings
out. Feelings have nothing to do with any of this. Remember what
I said, that--that Jesus told Thomas? He said, you know, "Feel
in my hands, feel in my side." "My Lord! My God!" Jesus said,
"You believe because you could feel it." And He said, "Thomas,
quit being faithless. Blessed are those who have believed and
not seen." It's when you believe these things because Jesus said
them. You believe this thing because the Word said them.
You're like the centurion that said I'm--"Jesus, you don't have
to come to my house." Remember when he talked about that? "You
don't have to come to my house. No, no, no. I'm a man under
authority. I tell a man to go and he goes. I tell him when to
come and he comes. All you have to do is speak the word, my
servant will be healed." Jesus didn't even go to the man's
house. He said, "You don't--you don't have to come under my
roof. I'm unworthy for you to come to my house anyway." See,
he was a Gentile. And he said "You just say it." Jesus said,
"I have not found so great a faith in all of Israel." That is
faith in God's written word. The integrity of this Word is just
as real as if Jesus stood right there in front of you and said,
"by my stripes you were healed," and it will bring more faith
than that. The apostle Peter said, "We saw and heard, but
there is--there is a higher, more powerful Word." And talking
about Scripture. Then seeing that on the Mountain of
Transfiguration? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Your feelings and your
mental part gets in the way. "Oh, I believe it now because I
saw it." No, your heart doesn't. You've mentally approved of it
and said, "Oh, yeah, I saw it. I believe that I saw it." Well,
when time gets a little rough, you'll fall off of that--that
stump. You know, "Well, if I could just see a miracle."
Really? The new birth is the most powerful miracle there is.
"Yeah, but I need--you know, I just--I just need to--I need to
see an angel. If an angel--" Well, then, hey, if you keep
pushing for that, the devil is a fallen angel. And the Word said
he'll come to you as an angel of light and deceive you.
(Pompously) "I have come from the almighty God." You can rest
assured he'll talk perpendicular because that's the way religion
talks. (Laughs) It don't talk straight, you know. "God, God
Almighty--(Snorts)--has sent me to tell you today that it's not
his will to heal you. Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh! Shiny,
shiny, shiny, shiny, shiny. Shew, shew, shew, shew!" Gone.
"Oh, it's not God's will to heal me. I'll just bear up." No,
you're going to die. His Word is His will and "by His stripes ye
were healed." You can't trust the stuff you see. You can't
trust the stuff that you--that comes out of this realm. Hey,
the devil is a spirit. Demons are spirits. Principalities,
powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, they're in the
spirit realm, and they'll mimic--they'll mimic God if they
can. And religious people will fall for it, particularly people
that start pushing God. "I need to see something, Lord. I need
to get healed of this cancer, and I just can't seem to get any
faith." "Well, you're looking in the wrong place." "Well, what do
you mean, Brother Copeland? I've been--I pray everyday. 'Oh God
give me faith.'" "Are you born again?" "Oh yeah." "Did He have
to give you faith to get saved?" "Uh, no." "When someone gave the
invitation, did you go up and say, 'Oh, God help me. Give me
the faith to get this, if you don't--if I don't, I'm going to
hell.'?" Of course not. Why? "Well, Brother Copeland, I mean,
it's right there in the Bible, it says, 'whosoever believes on
him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.'" Well, the
same Bible said, "whosoever say unto that mountain, Be removed,
and be cast into the sea; not doubt in his heart," same
whosoever. Amen. Are you seeing it? No. "Faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing, and hearing, and hearing, and
hearing, and praising, and hearing, and saying it, and
thinking it, and meditating on it, and listening to it on the
way to work, and listening to it on the way home, and walking in
love with all your spirit soul and body, and walking by faith
and not feelings, and you just stand up against it. "I'm not
moved by what I feel, and I'm not moved by what I see." "Yes,
I am too!" Well, just confess the thing. "Jesus help me. Help
me with this. I'm--I'm determined not to be moved." I
mean, He'll come right up in there. The Spirit of God will
come right up in there with you, and He'll say, "Okay little,
sister, I've got this!" Amen. But, see, you've got to keep
listening to it. You can't lay there and watch some stupid
television series while you're in the hospital. Quit that. No,
no, don't do that. You get the Word of God. You can get
somebody to put Scripture on there. Put--I mean, hey,
you--where you're listening to the--listening to Bible, you're
listening to somebody reading Scripture, reading Scripture,
feeding your spirit, feeding your spirit. Years ago, Brother
Savelle and I were in a--in a meeting and a woman brought
her--her husband was in a coma, and he was having hard seizures
just every few minutes. Every five or six minutes, he'd have a
seizure and--through an injury of some kind. I don't remember
what the bottom of it was. And Jerry was on one side of
this--this gurney, and I was on the other side of it, and she
was standing near the head of it. And we laid hands on him and
prayed the prayer of faith over him. And he still just--I mean,
you couldn't tell there was any difference. And I heard the Lord
say this, and I turned to her and I said, "Now, get--" Back
there then, you know, we didn't have cell phones and all that,
but we had the Bible on tape. And--and I said to her, I said,
"Now, we're going to give you a set of New Testament tapes. And
you keep those--you read to him. You read Scripture, read healing
verses to him. Read--read the New Testament to him. And then
when you're tired, and--and you go into the other room or
something, turn the tape on so the Word is going into his ears
24 hours a day. Son-- "My son, attend to my word; incline thine
ear unto my sayings. Keep them before--don't let me them depart
for your eyes; keep them in the mist of your heart. For they are
life to those that find them, and health--" or the Hebrew word
is "medicine" "--to all their flesh." And I said, "You
just--you play that 24 hours a day." She said, "I'll do it,
Brother Copeland." Well, she left, and he's still doing that.
But then--and she--and they did this for, oh, weeks, and the
seizures quit. He's still just laying there in that coma, but
he's peaceful now. Ha-ha. One day, one of her friends that
helped her read to him and so forth, and--came over, and she
went in--she went into the other part of the house for some
reason, and--but she said, "Here, take up right there where
I was, and read this to him. It's just Scripture, New
Testament." So she sat down then, and she just started
reading. "But Brother Copeland, they can't hear." Oh, listen,
you can too. I've heard testimony after testimony after
testimony of people that were in comas, and they said, "We could
hear every word you were saying. I just couldn't get it out."
Why? The spirit doesn't sleep. The spirit man's hearing it.
It's something wrong with the motor mechanism of your brain
and that kind of thing. But they can hear every word that's going
on in there. Don't--don't talk junk and death around somebody
you think is in a coma and can't hear you. Speak life. Anyway,
she was sitting there reading to him. All of a sudden, he sat
straight up in bed and said, "Nobody knows the trouble I've
seen!" (Laughs) And she liked to fell out of her chair, man, and,
you know, it startled her. "Nobody knows the trouble I've
seen!" (Laughs) Hallelujah. But you see, it was the Word. The
Word penetrated. The Word--the Word--the Word will divide
asunder the soul and the spirit, and it'll begin to work inside
the spirit man. And as it strengthens and strengthens and
strengthens and strengthens and strengthens, it'll eventually
come out of there. Amen. I'm talking to you about the
absolute integrity of this written Word and the integrity
of anointed teaching of this written Word, not religion, not
religious ideas, but the Word of faith, faith in Jesus. He is the
Word. Glory to God. Are you in here with me? Oh, glory. I'm
talking to somebody. I'm talking to somebody that you're right on
the verge of getting your breakthrough and
healing. You're right on the verge of it. You're closer
than you've ever been in your life.
