Welcome to The Tech Race.

In the USA alone, researchers estimate that

roughly 600,000 people are injured each year as

a result of skiing and snowboarding,

showing need for a system that protects and minimises injury.

(SKI AIRBAG)

Now a revolutionary airbag system prevents skiers and

snowboarders from getting hurt whilst moving at high speeds.

When this airbag system detects that the athlete is about to

fall, it activates an airbag that protects the body from

severe shock and injury.

(FRANCE)

(CHAVANOD)

A company in the French Alps has developed an intelligent

ski airbag.

Thanks to this system, skiers are four times better

protected than with dorsal protection.

A device on the back of the vest

is the brains of the system.

It contains sensors that can detect a skier's loss of

balance, anticipate a fall and deploy in milliseconds.

As soon as the system detects a crash,

it will inflate in less than 100 milliseconds to protect

the skier at the ground impact.

Once inflated, the airbag will

protect chest, abdomen, neck,

spine and hips.

We did some tests that showed

that all those zones are

vital for the skier.

The system will remain activated and inflated during

the crash and will then deflate progressively.

We did some tests that showed that with an airbag

a skier is more than four times better protected than

he is today with dorsal protection.

(SKI AIRBAG)

(NECK PROTECTION)

(CHEST PROTECTION) (HIPS PROTECTION)

(ABDOMEN PROTECTION)

(BACK PROTECTOR) (INFLATOR) (IN&MOTION SENSOR)

Now the idea is to use this technology platform for new

applications where people are injured in a fall,

so, of course, skiing, races,

leisure skiing and many other sports we're thinking about.

The concept is based on three steps.

The first is detect.

While the system reacts to a loss of balance,

the idea is to detect the type of fall which leads to a crash.

The second is protect.

The airbag system is activated in milliseconds to protect

the skier's body.

The last is analysis.

Transferring data from the gear to better understand what

caused the crash and verify if the airbag activated

at the proper time.

This will enable engineers to improve accuracy in the future.

The difference between our airbags and car airbags is

the fact that we need to inflate before the crash.

When you are driving and you hit another car,

the system knows that you've crashed,

but on skiers there is no protection, no bumper.

If we wait for the skier to crash on his back

or on his torso, it's too late.

Secondly, we have to inflate very fast but on the body.

We can't inflate too fast.

It's finding the right pressure at the right speed.

It's a compromise. The last point is energy.

Cars have a battery and an engine,

but your body can't be plugged in.

So we had to put the battery and the sensors in

a place where the skier will not even think about it

during the race and get the best performance he can.

The vest not only protects the user,

it also provides key data about an athlete's trajectory, speed

and distance by connecting to a mobile app once finished.

This information can help athletes reach full potential

by analysing their runs and jumps.

With skiers reaching speeds of over 200 km/h and heights of

over 10 metres, runs can be over in a matter of seconds.

(THE WORLD RECORD LONGEST SKI JUMP DISTANCE IS 251.5M)

Acrobatic skiing champion Jonathan Midol worked with the

International Ski Federation in the development of this device.

(FREESTYLE SKI DEBUTED AS A DEMONSTRATION SPORT

IN THE WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES CALGARY 1988)

I feel like I've contributed to the development of the ski

airbag during the last two seasons.

The product is almost ready for the public.

We've been able to ski wearing the in-motion vest.

It's clear that we travel faster than 30 km/h.

If my feet go above my waist, the vest opens.

This device is reducing accidents in skiing.

Where will this technology be applied in the future?

Three, two, one, go.

HACKLOG 1x10 - Tor Browser, Relay, P.T. and Tor Chat - Duration: 15:01.

Once TOR is active inside of our OS we can

use it in different ways. Let's see what They are the services and the most common uses.

The Tor Browser Bundle is perhaps the project most famous TOR Project. It's a

browser based on Firefox ESR preconfigured to connect to proxyserver SOCKS

interior of TOR at 127.0.0.1:9150.

Together with the browser are provided: TorLauncher that takes care of starting the connection

the TOR network ghost mode;

TorButton that allows you to check the identities and client settings

TOR; NoScript that prevents code execution

Javascript; HTTPS Everywhere that power connections

web using the protocol HTTPS.

The client is available in Windows versions, MacOS and Linux from web

Official Tor Browser; you can download three versions:

The Stable, the stable version Experimental, the latest nightly version

(But not tested) and Hardened, the alpha version of the project

only available for Linux x64

Unlike the core version of the Tor Browser integrates an auto-update that

It allows you to be more relaxed about upgrades, partly because at the time

seems to be no official repositories which keep it.

Procuriamoci the desired version (Italian will do) and architecture

available, downloading it from the official website. If for some reason there are doubts

on which to download, always we prefer the 32-bit. Once the file is downloaded open the terminal

and let us go in the file folder downloaded:

cd $ HOME / Downloads

In our case the file is called "tor-browser-linux32-6.5a3_it.tar.xz". this makes

we know why we got the list the present launching the file

command: ls

Now proceed to the extraction of compressed files: tar -xvjf [nomedelfile]

A tip: It may be tedious every Once hand write the name of a

file or a folder. Using a terminal based UNIX is available

autocompletion of a file: to do you type part of the name (eg Tor-) and

then complete with the [TAB] key. A.D example:

tar -xvjf Tor- [TAB]

In this way, the auto-complete terminal the file name. It will be extracted

folder containing the executable: it You will be called tor-browser_it /. Enter it

with the command: cd tor-browser_it

To launch the executable is one script called start-torbrowser.

desktop. Start it with the command: ./start-tor-browser.desktop

The Tor Browser Bundle can be used Clearnet both in deepweb. There

comfort that resides in this software, in addition to the portability that allows you to

use it even from external media such as USB sticks or SD, is having

preinstalled core TOR and that TorButton It allows you to maneuver

connections without an external GUI (as it happened however with the old version).

The entire Tor network is handled by TorButton clicking on the green onion

top left as in the image.

In the Security Settings item and Privacy We can choose to operate on

four characteristics already present in Firefox Preferences and thanks to Levels

of Safety use four user profiles

that determine the level of "paranoia".

Services such as Gmail, Hotmail, Skype, Facebook Messenger as well as old

Yahoo! Messenger and MSN and any other form communication on the Internet

It can be monitored and stored for Rates really long, even for more than

5 years. More forward even we talk about how to encrypt messages in the

network but until then only introduce the TorChat software.

TorChat is an instant messenger program decentralized and anonymous

that makes use of the Tor network to communicate on Internet through metaprotocollo

.onion. This allows the exchange of messages and multimedia data

encrypted end-to-end. TorChat has the advantage of be available natively for

Windows, Linux and the latest smartphone generation. There is also a version

Unofficial for MacOS systems, to use at your own risk.

If we have integrated the TOR repository Project to install TOR then

we will also have available the installation TorChat. First of all, however, we perform

a system update: on

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

We note how, for the first time, we evoke the concatenation symbol &&.

This allows us to run two commands distinct that need not communicate

between them - in contrast to what was seen with the symbol | (Pipe). The two commands apt

get update and apt-get upgrade serve respectively

to update the repository and software in our system.

Reached this stage install quietly TorChat:

apt-get install TorChat

To finished installation, we can start it directly from the terminal by typing:

exit TorChat

In TorChat each user has a unique alphanumeric ID It consists of 16 characters.

This ID is created randomly by Tor when the client is started for the

first time and basically presents as a .onion address. To this

Now you will get a code such as ... Then your

ID will for example ... This will be communicated to other users

take messages with you.

As for Proxy, and unlike the tunnel VPN, you need to configure

own tool to operate in the TOR network. Once we TOR is active

Available a SOCKS proxy in effect within our computer.

At this point you can perform Our proxati software

Proxychains or ProxyCap (see chapter on Proxy Server) by connecting

address 127.0.0.1 (or localhost) through 9050. We faced the door

this when we installed TOR and tested (and not TOR Browser)

then back to some previous chapter to know how to do.

In the universe of the TOR, the Relay dealing to give bandwidth to the network users

so they can use them for free. The torporject recommends users

TOR to activate the relay function in the case in which they have more than 250kb / s in both

upload and download. In the diagram that shows the list of items

TOR, are part of the Relay category Middleman and Exit Node: anyone

You may decide to perform a Relay in your network and specify whether it be

a Middleman, an Exit Node or both. For the purposes of this guide the setup

a relay is not essential, however, if you want to contribute to the development of the network

TOR can do so by creating your own relay staff.

The bridge of TOR - called bridge relays - are of the TOR network nodes

allow to bypass the filtering by ISP and Web sites about the use of

TOR network. To make sure that the system functions effectively, it is not available

a complete list of bridge relays otherwise ISP and any honeypot sites

web would recognize them immediately and would block them. However, you can give to the client

of the order to use the TOR Browser bridge using the option "My supplier

Internet (ISP) services blocks grid connections TOR ", voice activated

in the TOR network settings (in If you use the TOR Browser click

green onion icon at the top left).

In case you want to manually set its bridge, for example if you

Expert wants to use Tor Bundle, distributions TOR as Linux-based or Tails

with TOR Browser through configuration advanced, first you need

reach the Bridge of Torproject page skip to step 2, fill (the impossible)

captcha up and get so a value of this type.

As an example we can start Tor Browser and feed it new bridge obtained.

Consider, however, that even the bridges can be blacklisted because their

Access can be made by anyone, including censors. To work around this

Control the TOR developers have introduced a new feature

called pluggable transports. The PT has the task of transforming the flow of

TOR traffic traffic "clean" in the client and the bridge that might otherwise

It is intercepted by the ISP with a technical called Deep Packet Inspection (DPI)

which it consists in classifying the flows of IP traffic and, once compared the pattern,

The most common are currently PT defined bridge blurred: by definition,

these bridge dealing with tarnish Traffic difficult to interpret for

ISPs. Their technology uses algorithms that mix the incoming packets

and output; such algorithms are identified by the protocols. The protocols

of this type are three: obfs 2 - 3 -4. Obfs2 (also the two version, called "Twobfuscator")

It is the simplest of Two: its technology is concerned to take

the incoming and outgoing data traffic and rearrange them randomly. As it emerged in

recent studies, this protocol can be cracked by intercepting the handshake

Initial (a little 'as with the WEP security of WiFi networks) thus revealing

the information it contains. It's a deprecated version no longer under development nor

supported by the TOR development. Obfs3 (the "Threebfuscator") is very similar

the previous protocol, but uses Diffie Hellman method for the exchange of

keys in phase handshake (A topic that will be explained in the "Encryption").

Obfs4 is the fourth version of this protocol, although how he says

same developer "is closer to ScrambleSuite that obfs2 / obfs3 ". The last

version of this protocol seems to be the most secure and currently

They are present in the official Github. It's possible get a list of the Obfs4

The protocols of meek- family were * created in 2014 to allow

make an HTTPS tunneling in a circuit. It is also used a technique

called "domain fronting" which deals ISP to hide the fact that you are

communicating with a TOR bridge. As you can see next to the acronym meek you will find

the name of a well-known web service: if Choose Amazon, for example

the ISP will believe that we are communicating with the well-known e-commerce site (or better with

the cloud AWS), Azure with Microsoft cloud and Google ... well, with Google services.

As implied by the TOR Project protocols based meek- * are slower various obfs- *

and they should be used only in case See to the ISP to block

the latter. If the situation so requires you can follow the official directory of

TOR Project which explains how to configure the client to use this meek; in case

not sure you can safely skip this type of protocol (or at most

run tests). At the moment they seem to be the only viable alternative in case

Advanced censorship, as occurred in China at the end of 2015, however, it is still

unripe and over the years the situation It could evolve.

TUTO BEATBOX : SLIZZER SUCKERPUNCH SOUND - Duration: 3:25.

Hey ! I hope you're doing well, Today I'm doing another Beatbox tutorial

To teach you a sound that Slizzer use a lot, Alexinho's starting to use too

And I think all the beatboxer will use it one day or another

This sound doesn't really have a name, but I'll call it 'Suckerpunch'

We can call it 'Inward tongue block', I don't really know, tell me what you think in the comments section

And this is the sound

This mainly done by breath in air

and blocking the air with your tongue

The first technique to learn it is trying to say 'ET' inward

And curving your tongue like this

Normaly, you don't have to breath in very hard to produce the sound

But at the beginning, it's not a problem if you train with hard breath in

If you still don't know how to make the sound, I've got a second technique for you

This time you'll try to do the same thing but with your lips, you 'll try to breath in and block the air with your lips

You try to say 'EP' inward

And once you have the mecanism, you'll try to do the same mecanism, but with your tongue, and with the curves

The goal is that your tongue hit the top of your mouth with this shape

And this hit is produced by a breath in very hard and a block of the air with your tongue

Here is some example of uses for this sound

I hope this tutorial could help you, tell me in the comments section ! And subscribe !

You are doomed.

For the guys that don't know, yes, there is no google map in China.

But you know what? Luckily, we find a compensation.

There is a famous Wonton shop in the neighborhood.

So we are going to just settle down in here.

Famous Wonton shop.

This one is not a chain shop. But it is quite famous.

And it is quite cheap. Let's take a look.

Let's go!

So here is the price list.

And as always, when we go somewhere, we attract the attention of the kids

All the time.

That is what you want?

As you can see, this time is not the fried wonton recipe.

I think it is a perfect example that

Chinese are very curious about foreigners.

The kids are the most obvious ones. Because they are not shy.

They are not adult yet. There is nothing to hide.

So, yes, it is the best I ever try so far.

The one in Guangzhou is not good enough?

This one is better.

Yeah in general, kids in Europe

or perhaps other western countries, I don't know

They don't like much the soup.

But if you give them something like this, I am sure they will love it.

You love soup?

I love the meat in the soup.

Ah, you love the meat in the soup.

Because, you know, in my country, we say if you drink a lot of soup

You can grow a little bit more.

How To Draw A Fox | Drawing For Kids - Duration: 7:08.

Hey everyone

Welcome to Super Simple Draw

Make sure you have something to draw with and some paper

And don't forget that you can pause the video if you need more time

Let's draw a fox

We'll start with a big triangle for his head

And two more triangles for his ears

And let's add some dots for eyes

Next, let's color in the corner of the big triangle to make his nose

Let's give him a smile

And some whiskers

Next, we'll draw an oval for his body

Then connect the oval to the triangle for his neck

Then we'll erase these lines

Now let's draw some rectangles for his legs

Let's erase these two lines here

Then let's make some tiny lines for his toes

Hmm...what's missing?

I know, fox's have big fluffy tails

So let's draw a big fluffy tail on our fox

Then, let's draw some zig zags on the end of his tail

Foxes can be many different colors

Some are gray

Some are black

And of course, some are orange

Now let's draw a fox doing something that foxes love to do

You might not know this, but foxes can be very sneaky

Let's draw a sneaky fox

We'll start with a triangle for the head again

Two more triangles for the ears

And let's add some dots for eyes

Let's draw two sneaky eyebrows

And a black triangle for the nose

His mouth

And whiskers

Now an oval for the body

His neck

And we'll draw his legs sneaking

So bendy, like this

Let's erase these lines here

Let's draw the tail again

And don't forget the zig zags on the end of it

Then make some tiny lines for his toes

And let's color him orange

There he goes

He's very sneaky

He's hiding behind that bush

I see you, Mr. Fox

Did you know that some foxes live underground in dens?

Let's draw a cozy little den for our fox

Let's draw some grass on top

Then let's color the dirt brown

And we'll color the grass green

Oh, I think it's bedtime

Good night, Mr. Fox

Thanks for drawing with me

See you next time

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone - [PV] "Terekakushi Shishunki" (Romaji/English Subs) - Duration: 3:35.

"Terekakushi Shishunki (Embarrasment-Hiding Adolescence)" Music & Lyrics by HoneyWorks

Putting on make-up? You're just a kid

You getting to this age feels kind of wrong…

Could she have a boyfriend?

It's that kind of "what-if" Sunday

I've let you use

My favorite parka as roomwear

But it seems like I've gotten you used to hand-me-downs

"Permission to use granted" I spoil you

Always losing to your mischievous smile

That innocent adolescence

Bewilders me, but I don't show it

Your crying face never changes, does it?

I lose to it, easily

I'm not kidding, seriously

It's too embarrasing saying out loud...

"Don't follow us", I acted distant

Pulling up my hood

When we were young, I wouldn't let us

Walk hand in hand

You kept quiet

About my broken favorite toy for three days straight

And still held onto it obstinately even when I got mad

Will I be able to say, "It can't be helped" instead, now?

Changing them into honest words

An embarrassment-hiding rebellious phase

You laugh innocently, not showing it

We'll always be like this, won't we?

Tomorrow, in the future, still arguing

I'm not kidding, seriously

I've always been watching over you by your side

Acting grown-up

Acting like kids

Don't ever change

Your crying face isn't so bad once in a while

Come, I'll say it out loud

"You're precious to me", and keep saying it from now on

We'll always be like this, won't we?

Tomorrow, in the future, I'll always be watching over you by your side

Idiot Dem Joe Manchin Says Don't Filibuster Gorsuch Because "What Goes Around Comes Around" - Duration: 3:31.

Democratic Senator Joe Manchin from West Virginia is without a doubt the worst Democrat in the

United States of America.

Why do I say that?

Well, because in response to the Democratic threat to filibuster the nomination of Gorsuch

to the Supreme Court, Democratic Senator Joe Manchin said the following: "We need to be

careful.

What goes around comes around."

Basically telling us, we don't need to filibuster this guy because if we do it, my God, the

Republicans are going to filibuster or do something horrible to us.

By Manchin's own logic, filibustering Gorsuch is the karma result.

Not the beginning of it, not the thing that we need to worry about coming back around,

this is what is coming back around to the Republicans.

That seat on the Supreme Court was Merrick Garland's seat, Republicans blocked it for

a full-friggin' year, and you, Senator Manchin, have the audacity to say, "What goes around,

comes around?"

Yeah, it damn sure does, that's what this filibuster is.

You need to stop calling yourself a Democrat.

You are poison to the Democratic Party and people like you are poison to the Democratic

Party.

You have sold out on every environmental issue that has come before you because you are trying

to placate the coal industry in West Virginia.

You're helping to poison people with coal in West Virginia.

You're not doing anything to give them better healthcare coverage.

You're not giving them anything like a Supreme Court Justice last year that would have helped

on environmental issues.

You're sitting here, rolling over, acting like a Republican, hurting the Democrats in

the Senate and at the same time trying to say that you're just trying to keep decorum

in the Senate.

That is what he said!

He said he is trying to keep decorum.

Let me tell you, when you are dealing with idiots, like Ted Cruz, Jim Inhofe and all

the rest of them, there is no such thing as decorum anymore.

These people sold this country down the river for years and years and years while you sat

there and you reaped the benefits.

You got your extravagant pay, your travel expenses and your nice home in West Virginia,

that I'm sure is far away from all of the coal power plants, the coal mines, the dirty

water and the disgusting environment.

I'm sure you don't even know where those areas of the state are, but we do.

You are a poison.

Not just to the Senate, but to the Democratic Party.

It is time for you to just call yourself a Republican.

Go ahead and make that jump.

That is the ship you want to be on anyway.

That sinking ship that the public is turning against.

Well, they are turning against you too.

I guarantee you that 2018, 2020, the corporate, moderate let's-play-nice-with-everybody Democrats,

like yourself, are going to find themselves without

a job.

DRAWING with FEATHER QUILLS ?! - Duration: 18:04.

work- [Steph] Hi, Art Friends! This is Adam.

- And that's Steph over there.

- [Steph] In case you didn't know,

cause we never really address each other by name.

- Yeah, we got a few comments recently saying, like,

"Who are you people?"

And because we've nearly been on Youtube for like two years

I feel like we should introduce ourselves again.

(Steph laughs)

- [Steph] So I hope you're ready

for a really magical video today.

- Yes.

- [Steph] We have got my hat here,

which is full of little pieces of paper.

- This is the sorting hat, it's very important.

- [Steph] Adam bought these quills

about a month or two ago or something?

- Yeah, check these out.

I thought these would be so fun to do a video with, guys.

Have a look at these.

- [Steph] Around the time we got the scented inks,

he picked these up too.

- Yeah, there you go.

- [Steph] And I love using dip pens.

So I'm gonna have fun using these.

- It basically is a dip pen.

I mean it's a fake feather, guys.

Don't worry, I haven't gone out into the woods

and whacked a bird or something. (Steph laughs)

But it's just like a little, fake, feathery quill thing.

- [Steph] And there's a little pot of ink in there as well.

- Oh yeah, let's have a look at this.

- [Steph] So the reason that we've got like a little

sorting hat thing here is to sort of stick with,

like, the theme of like the feathery pen.

We thought it'd be fun to draw like a witch or a wizard.

- Yeah!

- [Steph] Or some kind of magical creature.

We'll see where it goes.

But, we've got a few themes to go with in here.

- [Adam] Yeah.

- [Steph] So, for example, we could pick out the word "toad"

and then we'd have to draw a toad witch.

So are you ready to pick yours?

- Yes! I want you to go first though.

(both laugh)

- [Adam] Oh, she's even got her eyes closed.

- Oh yeah, do I have to if they're

already like all folded up? (both laugh)

- [Adam] It's just like "Wow!"

- [Steph] Oh, rain!

- [Adam] Aw, that's such a cool one!

- That's a pretty good one.

- Boop, boop, boop.

- [Steph] What word will he choose?

- Please not Gryffindor.

Mmm, not Gryffindor!

- [Steph] Are you trying to be the sorting hat?

I don't think the sorting hat works with a wool hat.

- He was not this fabulous. (Steph laughs)

Okay, okay I think I've, oh I've got two.

Okay, whoo!

- [Steph] Whoo!

What's your word?

- Oh, (laughs)

I got jam.

- [Steph] Jam? (giggles)

- Yeah, jam.

- [Steph] Okay, so I think for a bonus round,

let's pick one more word just to make this really weird.

- Okay.

Do you want me to pick one now?

- [Steph] (giggles) Yeah.

- I'm turning over.

(Steph giggles)

I wonder if it's another condiment.

Oh gee, fence.

What is--

- [Steph] (laughs) The word fence.

- A jam fence.

I'm gonna pick one more.

- [Steph] You're pickin' one more?

(laughs)

- Yeah, argh!

- [Steph] Isn't a jam fence wizard enough?

- Oh! Pelican.

(giggles)

- [Steph] A jam fence--

- A pelican fence jam wizard.

- [Steph] So you have to include all these things

in your character.

- [Adam] Into my design.

- Yeah, I was only planned on pickin' one extra.

That's already quite a lot.

- [Adam] I've raised the bar now.

- I'm scared.

(giggles)

A goblin.

- [Adam] Oh, well this isn't fair,

a rain goblin.

- Yeah, it's a rain goblin.

- [Adam] Yours is like the perfect fantasy character.

- Okay I'll pick one more.

- [Adam] Oh okay, cool.

- Marker.

- [Adam] Oh my God.

A goblin wizard that makes it rain markers.

You've got it so easy. (giggles)

I've got a pelican that like poops jam on people's fences.

(both laugh)

- Right, I need a few moments to brainstorm.

- [Adam] You've got the easiest idea.

- [Steph] I know.

- [Adam] I'm the one that needs, like, a support group

to come up with whatever this is.

(laughs)

I like his big schnoz.

- [Steph] So far, I've obviously got the theme

of the wizard down.

- [Adam] Okay.

- [Steph] I've given him a goblin's head,

so that's where I've put the goblin.

So I can finally throw that one away.

And I'm trying to incorporate rain and marker.

- [Adam] Okay.

- [Steph] So, you know how they normally have staffs?

- [Adam] Yeah, I had an idea with a staff too.

- [Steph] I was thinking about just putting a Copic brush

to the tip.

- [Adam] A brush!

(both laugh)

- [Steph] Brush tip staff.

(both laugh)

- [Adam] What a lame wizard.

He's like, "Do you need anything to colour in?"

(both laugh)

- [Steph] It's not magic at all.

- [Adam] Harry, do you want me to colour in your textbooks?

- [Steph] And then, his beard can rain.

- [Adam] Oh, his beard is like a rain cloud.

- [Steph] (laughs) Yeah, it produces rain.

- [Adam] That's so cool!

- [Steph] So he's always in like a little puddle.

- [Adam] I love the smell of markers, Harry.

(both laugh)

- [Steph] You know how they say you shouldn't

sniff alcohol markers for too long or whatever.

- [Adam] Yeah, because if you sniff alcohol markers,

you'll end up like Marvin.

- [Steph] He's always been around one

that's been uncapped for a very long time,

so it's gotten to his head a bit.

- [Adam] It's a little dry, maybe I can wet it on my beard.

- [Steph] I'm putting like a cape

over a longer cape right now.

- [Adam] Is that how he's trying to be cool?

He's like double-caping it.

- [Steph] In fact, what have you done for yours?

You've been very secretive.

You've actually drawn a pelican! (laughs)

- [Adam] Yeah, well, there's a story, right?

- Okay.

- [Adam] His name's Percy, right.

Percy, he used to be a wizard, like a human wizard.

And what he was doing one day at the mage college,

he was being a bit rough at a frat party

and he went to the, oh what's the guy's name,

he went to the Dean's house and he accidentally

tripped over the fence and the Dean mage was like,

"Percy, I don't like it when you break my fence

so I'm gonna turn you into a pelican."

(both laugh)

I was gonna say like a magic spell,

but I was just like, "I don't like it

"when you break my house."

So Percy is actually a human, but he's been cursed

to be a pelican.

- [Steph] Right, is that why he's brought

the fence along with him?

- [Adam] Yeah, because it's a constant reminder

that he should never damage other people's property.

(Steph laughs)

Bad Percy.

The reason that he fell on the Dean's fence

is because he slipped on some jam.

- [Steph] So where's the jam?

- [Adam] The jam is gonna be stored in his beak pouch.

I haven't done that yet.

- The fence actually looks like a kind of weapon.

- [Adam] Yeah, that's what I wanted it to be, yeah.

It kinda looks like a scythe.

I added a few design tweaks for you.

He's got like a kill counter, there.

- [Steph] (laughs) That's really cool.

- [Adam] Like how many people he's killed

for breaking other people's property.

And a little tear, because he's like,

"How many more people do I have to kill?"

- [Steph] I've started to draw marker fumes.

You know, because normally staffs have magic spell things

happening off them?

- [Adam] Yeah, that's cool.

- [Steph] Well, his is just the stench.

- [Adam] I've just realised, yours does look pretty magical.

Mine just looks like someone dressed up a pelican,

shoved jam in his beak and gave him a piece of fence.

Let's get to inking these bad boys.

- [Steph] Oh, we've got one each, haven't we?

- [Adam] Yeah, I've opened mine.

Yours might be sealed up, so we might have to open it.

What are you doing to it?

- [Steph] Does it have a bit of the silver paint stuff?

It's like come off at the back.

- [Adam] Oh, yeah, they're pretty cheaply made, guys, shh.

- [Steph] (giggles) Now I have a lot of experience

with dip pens, but this is a very different nib

to the one that I'm used to.

- [Adam] Yeah, I was wondering if you'd used anything

like it before.

- [Steph] Oh, so let's maybe start over here.

- [Adam] There it, oh!

- [Steph] Oh, that's a very thick line.

- [Adam] Are you even pressing on that much?

- [Steph] Let's push down really hard.

- [Adam] It might look like quite a cool cartoony style,

with the thicker lines.

I really like it so far.

- [Steph] Oh, normally when I do thick lines on eyes,

I think it looks like eyeliner, so.

(Adam chuckles)

- [Steph] That wasn't intentional.

- [Adam] "Do you think I look pretty?"

I mean, this might be a random question, guys,

unless you're maybe a time traveller,

but have you ever used a quill to write or draw with before?

- [Steph] I saw the, I hope I'm saying the name right,

but Mira Byler, she got a really cute-looking quill set

in a haul that she did recently.

- [Adam] Oh really?

- [Steph] It was a proper posh set one, though.

It was like a--

- [Adam] (chuckles) Not like our trashy ones

where the paint's coming off it.

(both laugh)

It is kinda like I just grabbed two feathers

at the park and then I just dipped them in silver paint.

I paid money for these, guys, I should have just

totally made my own.

- [Steph] Might have just stuck feathers

to the end of the ones that we have.

- [Adam] Yeah.

- [Steph] Okay, it's your turn.

- [Adam] Okay, and you said that the lines

are really thick, right?

There we go.

- [Steph] Watch yours come out feather thin.

- [Adam] Ha ha, I see what you did there, "feather thin."

And I have his little hood thing coming over his head

then down here.

- [Steph] (laughs) My line where it's coming out

is so much thicker than yours.

I must be just accustomed to holding my nib differently.

- [Adam] Yeah, that's probably what it is.

I know that your rain dude, he's got

like a wizard hat.

- [Steph] Mm-hmm.

- [Adam] What I'm gonna try and opt for

is kinda like a robe with a floppy hood.

- [Steph] Aww.

- [Adam] That's kinda what I was.

Sort of kinda like just flops down there.

- [Steph] I'm envious of how thin you're able

to get your lines.

- [Adam] Is it because of my delicate hands?

- [Steph] Seriously, look at my lines in comparison.

I do actually quite like yours.

- [Adam] Oh, you like him now?

Because when I first started.

Seriously, we didn't record it guys,

but when I first started drawing poor little Percy,

(Steph laughs)

you thought I'd completely misunderstood the challenge

and I was just drawing a pelican for the fun of it.

- [Steph] I looked over at him and I was like,

"Are you just drawing a pelican?"

- I love birds!

- [Steph] I thought he was gonna draw a pelican

on a piece of paper, then on another piece of paper

a pot of jam.

- You haven't given me enough pieces of paper.

(both laugh)

It does make me laugh how wobbly my lines are

compared to yours when I ink stuff.

- [Steph] Are you doing his little tally score?

- [Adam] His kill counter.

He's killed seven people in various fence-related incidents.

(Steph laughs)

Seven people.

- [Steph] Does it count if they stub their toe on the fence?

- He puts them at like a little half marker.

(Steph laughs)

One stubbed toe.

(Steph laughs)

- [Steph] Okay, guys, so I've just brought in

a couple of pots of ink in, so that we can colour these

because, ta-da, we finally got our line art.

- I wanna give him an orange pouch.

Okay, now I know he has like a beaky bit first,

which goes like sort of up to there

and then the rest of it's kind of all pouch.

- [Steph] I love the colour of that orange, isn't it.

- [Adam] It is, it's really nice, isn't it?

- [Steph] I think it's cool that we're sticking

to theme of using only inks for this as well.

- [Adam] Yeah, I guess it's kinda like

an ink challenge thing in itself, maybe?

I'm thinking he may need some kind of design on his robe

because it looks pretty plain.

- [Steph] Now it looks like it's got like a gold trim.

- [Adam] Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking.

Maybe I'll just do a design

with what's below fence posts, then.

- [Steph] Or tally charts.

(both laugh)

- [Adam] He's killed that many people.

He's like drawing on himself.

- [Steph] I'm gonna go in with some apple green ink.

- [Adam] I'm pretty curious what colour scheme

you're actually gonna do with this guy.

Oh wow, that's actually quite a nice green for him.

- [Steph] I like how evenly inks go on.

- [Adam] Does Rainbeard have like a wife?

- [Steph] Aw, you remembered his name.

No, he's forever alone.

The realm that he's from it seems uncool to date people.

- [Adam] Oh really?

- [Steph] Yeah.

- [Adam] Well Rainbeard certainly does look cool.

- [Steph] Yeah.

(both laugh)

Well, where he's from, he is cool.

- [Adam] "I am an edge lord."

What are you doing with that spray bottle?

- Yeah, I got this little spray bottle

from that shop, "Tiger," it's got everything.

- [Adam] Oh yeah.

- [Steph] And I like to spray it a little bit

into my palette.

- [Adam] Your palette thing, okay.

- [Steph] And grab a tiny bit of black.

I do not need much of this.

It's hard to see where it is.

- [Adam] Oooh, you're gonna water it down.

- [Steph] Yep, and ta-da, watered down.

- [Adam] It's like ink wash, but in a palette instead.

Oh wow, oh, hey that color's actually pretty nice

for rain-cloudy look.

You are so much better at mixing colours than me.

- [Steph] (laughs) Wasn't really mixing colours,

I just diluted some ink.

Now I've just got to be careful not to touch any other areas

that are wet.

- [Adam] I'm pretty bad for that.

- [Steph] I wanted to colour these in though

because we've been getting quite a few people

asking when we're next gonna do a video

where we colour something in.

- [Adam] Oh wow, it's a pleasure to colour in

things like this, guys.

(Steph laughs)

And let us know if you like the,

I don't know what you'd call it,

like the style of the video.

Do you like us just randomly making up characters--

- [Steph] Characters, yeah.

- [Adam] With a list of things, because if you do,

drop it a like so we know.

"Look at my magnificent eyebrows.

"Oh wait, that's not my voice, it's this one.

"I don't know what happened there."

Maybe when his nose is actually clear,

he has like this beautiful silky voice.

- [Steph] (laughs) He sounds like an angel.

- [Adam] Like, "Good evening."

But then he has a sniff of a marker he's like,

(sniffs) "Sorry about that, oh."

- [Steph] Look at us sharing.

- Sharing, it's rare that we share our supplies, guys,

so I'm glad that we're documenting it.

Whoooo, I've got this under control.

- [Steph] I was just thinking because this is a staff,

I think I should leave it white because it's a Copic marker.

- Okay, and maybe just colour the tip.

- [Steph] What colour marker do you think he should have?

I'll tell you what, I'll colour it

whatever colour your jam is.

- Oh, okay, well, because he's orange, we could do a yellow.

(Steph laughs) He could have like a lemon jam.

- [Steph] Like a lemon curd.

- He's just had a really big haul of lemon jam.

- [Steph] Has he dropped on one the floor down there?

- Yeah. (Steph laughs)

He's like, "My pouch is only so big."

I like how they're sort of like,

if they were stood next to each other,

they'd be looking at each other.

- [Steph] (laughs) Oh yeah.

- [Adam] "Do you want to wizard battle me, Percy?"

"I will eat you!"

- [Steph] Swacks him with the fence.

- Yeah.

(both laugh)

I'm going to add you to my tally.

I'm gonna go straight in with the yellow.

I have to be careful not to get my cute little jam labels.

(Steph laughs)

It's like that jam when you go to the fair

and people've got like cloth lid things on top.

- [Steph] Oh, the cute little ones that you see

on like Etsy or something.

- [Adam] Yeah, Percy's been to the jam festival.

- [Steph] I think I've had an ink spill.

- [Adam] Whoa.

- [Steph] I have no idea what's happened,

but I've noticed that it's on my little blanket thing

and it's all over my hands.

- [Adam] You know, we got so many comments

from you guys saying it gives you anxiety

when we ink on the bed.

(Steph laughs)

But I don't--

- [Steph] I don't mind getting ink on the bed.

- [Adam] I don't think we've ever had a huge ink catastrophe

with ink on the bed.

- [Steph] Not yet anyway.

- [Adam] Not yet.

- [Steph] It'll happen one day.

Today was a very close call.

(Adam laughs)

- [Adam] It can happen on your side.

Is his robe waterproof then?

Because if not, he'd be getting some-

- [Steph] (laughs) Yeah, it might be a rainproof jacket,

I guess, and it all just runs down him.

- [Adam] Because he'd be getting some nasty rashes

if it wasn't.

(Steph laughs)

- [Steph] He'd probably be really pruney as well.

- [Adam] Yeah, you may be right.

Maybe he looks really old, but he's super young,

he's just really pruney from all the water.

"I'm actually 19."

- [Steph] (laughs) Yeah.

- [Adam] "I'm real young."

- [Steph] There we go.

There's his marker.

- [Adam] Oh yeah.

- [Steph] Looks more like a marker now I've done that.

- [Adam] Oh, you're going for the cool trim too.

Oh they could totally be from the same sort

of wizard school now.

(Steph laughs)

Maybe Rainbeard was the one that turned him

into the pelican.

- [Steph] What, the Dean?

- [Adam] Yeah.

- [Steph] He's too young to be a Dean, he's only 19.

- [Adam] Well he might be the 19 Dean.

- [Steph] (laughs) Well it rhymes.

- [Adam] There you go, that's a sitcom right there.

(Steph laughs)

He's 19 and he's become the Dean.

"I'll let you have your frat party if you invite me.

"I'm so lonely."

I keep forgetting it's cool to be lonely where he's from.

Wow, because we're introverted we totally need to live

where he lives.

- [Steph] Out of curiosity.

And what of you guys who are watching our videos?

Are you introverts as well or are you like extroverts?

- [Adam] Ooh, is it poll time?

Are you an introvert or extrovert?

- Hmm, because I presume a lot of people

who watch YouTube are probably introverted.

- [Adam] Oh yeah.

- But, I don't know, maybe it's an extroverted

thing too.

- [Adam] Because like Steph and I totally love

just hiding away from the world and drawing

and watching movies and pizza.

- Watching pizza.

- [Adam] Yeah.

(both laugh)

I've ordered the pizza, come and watch it with me! (laughs)

- I love watching pizza.

- [Adam] That's what we do.

We eat movies and watch pizza.

- [Steph] And I'll probably do his little cape thing

the same colour as his shoes.

- [Adam] Oh, that's quite color-coordinated.

- [Steph] Yeah, I mean he's fashion conscious.

(both laugh)

- [Adam] Because he's 19.

- [Steph] Yeah, who isn't at 19?

(both laugh)

I think I actually stopped being fashion conscious

when I was 19.

- [Adam] Oh, I was never fashion conscious.

Seriously guys, in Doodle Date, this is probably

the best-dressed I've ever been in my life.

(Steph laughs)

I love Rainbeard.

I think it's one of the most coolest characters

that you've come up with in a long time.

- [Steph] In a long time.

- [Adam] I probably should have worded that better.

(Steph laughs)

In a little while.

In at least the past 10 minutes.

- [Steph] You know, like Van Gogh had his daffodils.

- [Adam] Yeah.

- [Steph] Daffodils or were they like sunflowers? (laughs)

I can't even--

- [Adam] He had some kind of flower.

(both laugh)

- [Steph] Like the highlight of his art career.

- [Adam] I thought it was like ...

It couldn't have been when he cut off his ear. (laughs)

- No , I mean like his actually work.

- [Adam] Yeah, yeah.

- [Steph] That's probably like the painting you think of

when you think of him and it's just made me laugh now

because I was basically gonna say,

"Oh, this is gonna be the painting that people think of

"when they think of me,"

but then I tried to use Van Gogh as like an example

and I realised I can't even remember

what flower he'd drawn. (both laugh)

That's not good.

- [Adam] Poor guy's probably like turning in his grave.

- Yeah, probably.

- [Adam] (laughs) My life's work for nothing.

Let's go to the art gallery to see Van Gogh's

some kind of flower.

(both laugh)

- [Steph] Might be the tulip. (both laugh)

- [Adam] They're not even yellow.

- [Steph] You can get yellow tulips.

- [Adam] Can you?

- Yeah!

Oh dear, I've got some smudging going on over here.

It's like tie-dye in this puddle with his shoe.

- [Adam] Wooo.

He's stood on like a little grassy field.

- [Steph] Grass patch.

- [Adam] Because the jam fair was, like, in a field.

- [Steph] Are jam fairs actually a thing?

- Oh, there's got to be jam--

Guys, if you've been to jam fair, let me know.

(Steph laughs)

They've got to exist.

I just love asking you questions!

(Steph laughs)

Please be my friend.

- [Steph] He asks me questions all the time

so it's nice that he can palm them off to you sometimes.

- You might be editing a video and I'll be like,

"Honey!" And you'll be like, "Yeah."

I'll be like, "Have you ever been to a jam fair before?"

(Steph laughs)

"I'm trying to edit!"

(Steph laughs)

No, but I love asking you guys questions

and talking to you guys.

I think it's loads of fun.

You have enriched my life because I don't know,

I'd probably be like lost or dead by now.

(both laugh)

- [Steph] That's morbid.

Subscribe for more art videos.

And if you want to see another one--

(both laugh)

What are you doing?

You're pulling a face at me!

- [Steph] And if you want to see another video

that we've done, I will link one over here.

- Over here, next to me.

- [Steph] The mystery video.

- Yeah, make sure you click it.

(both laugh)

- [Steph] Doodle Date.

- Bye guys.
