The instant ramen choices don't run out here at Lotte Mart
And neither do the laver choices
I'm here in Korea for business
That's why Antti isn't here with me
I'm here alone or actually with a group
Since I'm working here as a tour leader and tour guide for a group of Finns
This is one of my favorite tours
During this tour we'll visit both Korea and Japan
We begun this journey from Seoul
And we traveled through South Korea to Busan
We'll be staying here for a few days
After few days we'll continue the journey to Fukuoka, Japan by ferry
And then through Hiroshima and Kyoto to Tokyo
And we'll fly back to Finland from Tokyo
It's an amazing tour
The schedule is quite tight
Usually I don't have much time to film during these tours
But I decided to do an exception
I have some free time here in Busan for these few evening here and during the day on the day we leave
So I thought of taking you here with me on this tour
I just went to the supermarket here, Lotte Mart
There's a large department store near here
Lotte Department Store
And Lotte Mart is a supermarket there
I bought a salad from there
Like this
It looks good
It has strawberries, blueberries and cheese
Pretty nice
Then I got this laver
This is delicious
It's kind of like chips and you can also top your rice with it, for example

And these are amazing
These are brownies
So lovely
Well, then, the last thing is this local soda water
Nothing special
But I guess I'll survive tonight with these
That kind of stuff

So the sales woman just threw this octopus here on the floor as a sample

I'm now at Jagalchi fish market
This is the largest fish market in Korea
Actually most of the sales people here are refugees or their descendants from North Korean side of Korean peninsula
During the Korean War in early 50's Busan wasn't occupied by the North Korean forces even though they pushed their way all the way to the south
The refugees arrived here from the north even by ferries
And when they finally decided on where the border should be, when Korea was divided by two as it is today
The refugees who'd come here from the north, didn't have a place to return to anymore
So they stayed here
They built shacks in the mountains here
And begun working
Fishing was an easy choice so many begun fishing and then selling their catch here at the fish market
Gradually the shacks turned into houses
You can see many houses in the mountains here in Busan
The fish business still continues here at the harbor
There are also many restaurants here
You can choose your fish here at the market and then they'll prepare it for you here at the restaurant
Pretty convenient
And definitely fresh
Laver samples
They have tasty laver here
Five thousands (4 euros)
The laver here is excellent, they season it in different ways
But I just bought laver yesterday to take home with me
I'll get some more next time
There are also silkworm pupae here

Today we've been sightseeing here in Busan
The nature here is beautiful
The coastal scenery and the sea is gorgeous especially on a beautiful day like today
Now everyone is doing their final shopping here in Korea
I think I'll go and do the same
Later we'll have a farewell dinner to conclude the Korean leg of the tour
And then we'll pack our bags and continue the journey to Japan tomorrow
