Hello and welcome to our global classroom! Today's activity is describing nouns.
Today we're going to describe nouns that are people. This will help you practice your listening and speaking.
These nouns are at an advanced level. However, learners of all levels can participate. You may even learn some new vocabulary words!
For this activity, Wes is going to describe six different nouns to you. Each of these nouns is about people.
You will have ten seconds to guess and say the answers. Please make sure to speak out loud.
Who cares if your neighbor hears you? They'll just hear you practice your amazing English skills!
Let's see an example before we start.
Wes will describe a word to me, and I will guess the answer. Here's the word:
Are you ready for the word?
Yes I am!
This person mostly would work in a bar, this is the person who makes your drink. They make cocktails, they pour beer. It's not a waiter or a waitress. This person is a ________.
Oh, that's easy! A bartender!
Yea, you got it, well done!
Thank you!
Now that you see how it's done, let's begin!
Wes will choose a noun and describe it to you, and then you will try to guess it.
Remember to say all the answers out loud, and after we finish all six words, I will go over the answers with you.
Ready? Let's get the clock up there!

So how did it go? I hope you were able to give an answer to all of those.
If you'd like to do this activity again before I tell you the answers, you can stop the video and go back to the start of the activity.
