We all knew that kid in grade school who

the teacher said had so much potential

and what that meant is that they could

be something great someday if they

applied themselves, but at that point in

time they weren't necessarily acting

that way. That's actually a lot like

voltage. Stick around and find out why!

Hi I'm Daniel Bogdanoff. Welcome to the

2-Minute Guru. Today we're going to talk

about voltage. Voltage is simply the

difference in electrical potential

energy between two points. A quick

clarification - electric potential energy

has to do with particles themselves, like

electrons and ions. It's measured in

Joules whereas electrical potential is

measured in Joules/Coulomb and it

has to do with the electric field itself.

The charge of the particles themselves is

measured in Coulombs, so if you take the

electrical potential energy and divide

it by the charge of the particle itself,

all you're left with is that energy in

space- the electrical potential. And Volts

are measured in Joules/Coulomb.

So all this to say that all voltage

measurements and values are simply a

difference in electric potential between

two points in space. So when I say that

this is a 9 volt battery, what that

means is that there's 9 volts of

electric potential between the two

terminals. The analogy I like to use for

voltage is gravity, or more specifically,

physical potential energy. Think back to

Physics I. If I pick up this ball, it

now has potential energy with respect to

the ground or whatever I choose to

compare to. Let's say I'm going to

compare the potential energy between

these two balls. I'll name this one

"positive" because I can and this one

"ground." And I've given it a nifty little

ground symbol here. Right now there's no

difference in potential energy but as

soon as I pick up one of these balls,

there's now a difference in potential

energy with respect to each other. When

it comes to electricity, instead of

height, we have electrical potential

energy levels. Typically we measure with

respect to ground which we consider to

be zero volts. Whether or not that's

actually true is another discussion.

Ground (or zero volts) used to be, and

sometimes still is, a metal rod hammered

into the ground, but if you take a

spaceship, for example, they still have a

zero volt ground reference even though

by definition a spaceship cannot have a

metal rod pounded into the ground. Also

notice that unlike current,

no movement is required for there to be

a voltage. This ball could fall because

there's a constant pull from gravity, but

my hand is blocking the path. As soon as

there's a path, the ball is going to fall

and there's current. Take this 9-volt

battery for example. Even though there's

no current path flowing I'm still

measuring over 9 volts between the two

terminals on the battery with my oscilloscope, and that's

because I'm using the oscilloscope to compare

the negative terminal to the positive terminal. And I

expect that to be 9 volts since it's,

well, a 9-volt battery. That's all we have

time for today. Thanks for watching! If

this video is helpful, hit the share

button, hit the thumbs up button. If

there's any topics you want me to cover

in the future, put them in the comments

below. I'm Daniel Bogdanoff and I'll

see you in two weeks.

How to get rid of a muffin top with BonVie Weight Loss Santa Monica / Portland - Duration: 3:19.

How do you lose belly fat?

We call that resistant fat around our mid section a muffin top, jelly-belly or beer

belly and no one wants it hanging around.

I'm Sharon from BonVie Weight Loss & Nutritional Wellness to talk about belly fat, better known

as visceral fat.

Visceral fat lies deep within the abdomen and is stored around vital internal organs

such as the liver, pancreas and intestine which can lead to serious health issues, let

alone bulge our body shape.

High visceral fat can affect insulin resistance leading to type 2 diabetes, heart disease,

breast cancer, colorectal cancer and even Alzeimers.

Plus belly fat plays a potentially dangerous role in causing hormonal imbalance which is

closely tied to weight gain, and disease.

How can you tell if you have too much visceral fat?

An easy way is to track your waistline circumference measurement over time, which on average should

not exceed 40 inches for men and not more than 35 inches for women.

More simply if your waist measurement is larger than your hip or your thorax measurement than

you likely have too much visceral fat.

Also pay attention if your parents or siblings have insulin resistance, heart disease or

non-alcoholic fatty liver, as you may be at a greater risk for storing visceral fat.

So, how do we get rid of Visceral Fat?

Well, unfortunately, you can't spot reduce belly fat no matter how many crunches you

do.

And forget about cosmetic surgery like Liposuction – it will remove subcutaneous fat but does

not reach inside the abdominal wall for the visceral fat.

Instead, its a combination of healthy lifestyle habits.

Like, exercising for 30-60 minutes each day.

Interval training (short bursts of aerobic exertion alternated with slower strength building)

is the best to use up your visceral fat stores.

Eat a diet high in lean protein, unrefined grains, fresh fruits and vegetables.

Leafy greens, whole grains, nuts, and beans are all good for keeping away belly and eating

less than 50 grams of carbs per day results in fat loss in most overweight people.

Avoid Trans Fats and cut way back on all sugars and alcohol since these will end up on your belly

Eat fish high in Omega 3 fats like salmon, herring, sardines, mackerel and anchovies

2-3 times per week.

Eat Pro-biotic foods or even better take a concentrated Probiotic supplement targeted

at digestive health.

Green tea contains caffeine and the antioxidant (EGCG), both of which boost metabolism and

help lose belly fat.

And one of the cheapest and easiest weight loss methods?

Drink 64-80 oz of H2O each and every day.

Get more sleep and less stress.

Too little sleep and too much stress can make you eat more fat and sugar, reduce exercise,

drink more alcohol, and -unleash the "stress hormone" cortisol,

which can boost belly fat.

If you still smoke and need yet one more reason to quit, smoking makes you more likely to

store fat in your belly, rather than subcutaneous on your hips and thighs.

Since no one single item will make a difference in burning belly fat try to combine as many

of these methods as you can.

When you have healthy habits and eat real food, fat loss naturally happens.

Press that subscribe button now for much more on weight loss and healthy living.

Tiger Teardrops Necklace-Multi-Strand Necklace Jewelry Tutorial - Duration: 7:05.

Hi there, Sandy here.

Welcome to another jewelry making video at KeepsakeCrafts.net.

Today we're going to be making a multi-strand necklace, but we're going to do it a little

more quickly.

Sometimes multi-strand necklaces can take a long time.

Today we're just going to focus on the central portion of the necklace and we're going to

get a lot of drama by just stringing teardrop beads on the bottom strand.

So my design started with these tiger eye teardrop beads.

I decided, since I'm using these multi-strand findings, to do a three strand necklace.

Now keep in mind, you could put more than one strand on each of these.

You can have as many as you wanted that would fit.

You could do five or six or whatever you want.

I'm just going to do three today and since I'm doing kind of antique gold, I'm going

with these spacers, these saucer spacers on either side and then I also thought it would

be pretty to have some crystals in between and set them off.

Now I did a little bit of test stringing and one thing you might notice is that the saucer

spacers look a little bit awkward on either side of the teardrop, just because of the

shapes, and they don't fit together too well.

So I added in these little round beads.

I think these are three or four millimeter round beads on either side and now suddenly

that looks a lot better.

So that's how I'm going to string them.

One of these bead design boards are so helpful when you're making a design like this just

to help you get a general idea of the layout.

I've decided for my next row I'm going to use these champagne colored pearls and then

for the next row, I've got some little cube crystals.

So it's a nice variety of sizes and colors and shapes and finishes that all work together

to make this really pretty, kind of neutral colored necklace that would go with just about

anything.

And what we're going to do is just string a section, just a short section that will

go in the front of the necklace and that way you don't need so many beads.

You don't need to spend so much time and then you can finish the sides just with some chain

or if you want to make it even more fancy, you could do some more bead stringing, but

I'm just going to do chain.

I'm going to cut a little more bead stringing wire than I think I need because I'm not really

sure how much I need.

So I'm going to cut about a 10" piece.

I know I've shown you this many times before, you start off by stringing on a crimp and

if you want to know more about this, you can check out my Bead Stringing Basics video.

I'll link to that.

Then we're just going to go into a wire protector, so you go in one side and out the other and

I also have another video, a Friday Findings video just on using wire protectors.

It's just this little horseshoe shaped thing that keeps your wire from rubbing on your

findings so that it won't wear out.

And then I'm going to attach that to one of the outer loops of my multi-strand finding

and then slide that end of the wire over the crimp.

So you have two strands of wire going through the crimp and then you just go ahead and flatten

that crimp.

I like to use my One Step Crimper and I have a video on that too.

Just does a good quick job.

Always test, give it a good tug, make sure it's not going anywhere.

Trim your excess wire and then to make it look all nice and neat and finished, you can

pick up a crimp cover.

It's not strictly necessary, especially if you use the One Step Crimper.

It finishes it really nicely, but the crimp cover just really gives you an even better

finish.

Squeeze gently and now it just looks like you have a bead there.

And now you can start your stringing.

So I think I'm going to start with a couple of these little ones and then I'll string

my pattern.

I will show you on the other side how to finish it.

Put the wire through a wire protector, slip that over the corresponding hole of the finding.

Make sure you have them going in the correct direction and then put the wire back through

the crimp.

It really is just the same except that you don't want to do this.

Now, now if you look and see how this is draping, it's a little stiff.

It's not nice and watch if I pull this even tighter.

You can really see, it kind of makes it look like a cheap piece of jewelry.

It doesn't look nearly as nice as if I just back off oh about 1/8", just a little.

Now you can see I barely cut enough wire here.

I thought it was going to be more than enough.

Make sure you cut more than you need.

And now you can see how nice this is draping and that's all you need to do is finish it

the same way.

Leave a little bit of room to add your crimp cover if you're going to use one.

Crimp it with your crimping pliers, trim the wire, cover it with a crimp cover just the

same way I did at the beginning.

Okay, so I finished up the bottom strand and then I went ahead and started stringing the

other two strands because the trickiest part of a multi-strand necklace is getting the

spacing just the way you want it.

This is easier done off the design board and you just want to position your multi-strand

findings the way they will be when you'll be wearing the necklace, which is pretty much

horizontal, mostly horizontal anyways to the ground.

So here I have this strand pretty much the way it will be hanging and now I can see and

keep in mind how much space is going to be taken up by the crimp and crimp cover and

now I can see that I'll probably remove these pearls and then have it be like that and then

I'll do the same with these beads.

Just take a little bit of time because that's kind of the beauty of a multi-strand necklace

is the way they drape along side each other.

So take a little time to get it just the way you want it.

Then once you do, all you need to do is add some chain to these ends and a clasp to the

back and you're all done.

So if you're interested in the supplies I used, click on the little 'i' or the tag in

the upper right of the video or the link in the description box to go to my blog post

where I will always have a complete supply list with links to products.

How to Make a Successful Youtube Channel - Duration: 7:38.

Hey everyone it is Amanda Contreras

and this is the channel where he turn

your passion into a profit in today's

video you are actually going to learn

all the secrets from all the fantastic

youtubers on youtube right now that are

crushing it so we're going to dive right

into how to make your YouTube channel

extremely successful tip number one

content content content content is key

you hear everybody talking today about

content and you really have to go into

what makes your YouTube channel special

so whether you are a beauty and makeup

tutorial whether you're a how to channel

whether you are just questioning and

answering whether you are product reviews or

you're a business channel or you're a

real estate agent whatever it is that

you have to do you need to find content

for your channel you just need to be

good at whatever it is that you do to

dominate your face that's it just make

sure that your content is relevant to

your channel and please please please

make it entertaining make it special

make it give values in something where

your customers and your viewers are

going to keep going back and back over

and over to watch your videos. That is

what's going to take so content is king

remember that content is a great way

number one by all youtubers make sure

you have excellent content tip number to

be consistent every channel that I

looked up said be consistent in how you

post and when you post on what time you

post so if you post daily if you post

weekly monthly whatever it is is being

consistent if you want your fans to be

loyal viewers to you and your account

you have to be loyal to them you need to

show up when you say you're going to

show up so that your fans can be there

to watch you that is the number two key

is be consistent step number three is

definitely stay within your niche so if

you choose to do beauty and makeup

tutorials make sure you stick to

anything related to beauty hair

tutorials things that make you look good

skin care you can probably go into a

little bit of clothing but

stay more towards beauty you guys have a

cooking channel make sure that you are

staying around cooking please don't you

know decide to put a video of your cat

in there you want to make sure that you

stick to cooking so whether that giving

recipes showing how to cook the steak

and not burning it whether it's trying

to figure out what kind of pop and pans

views or maybe it's just a simple you

know get ready strategy in the morning

of simple breakfast tip make sure when

you guys see your videos that you stay

within your niche so that people know

what they're going to see when they come

to you senator for be a fan to get then

you guys have to be boiled you have to

be engaging if you wouldn't want your

channel to grow immensely then what you

guys have to do is make sure that you go

to the people they're already in your

space and comments and engage the people

that are already leaving comments you

guys want to make sure that you are

being known as an authority figure on

your space so what you better have to do

should do again this is all what the

talking to per se so please if I were

you I pay attention to this what I'm

going to be doing make sure that

anybody's go into people into the

channel that other your other youtubers

have and this comment will say what a

great video something super nice but it

really be genuine don't just say hey I

like to fit views with thumbs up you

know make sure that you guys are really

being genuine and you guys are really

being authentic and if there's a comment

down there that maybe you can give value

to definitely give them what you don't

want to do is they say like my video is

over here or hey check my video route

but not give any value so the more

authentic and the more engaging you can

be with somebody in the village wheel

that's what you want to do so if you

guys want loyal and gaming fans and

engage with other people's fans and

other people channels and you know it

can lead you to a collaboration later on

which is definitely the next step step

number five collaborate all the other

youtubers say collab collab kalau now

this is really really great for

entertainment channel or print channels

channel things that you know you can

collaborate with other other youtubers

but at the same time if you are in a

small business based like I am or you're

not renew ER and I'm not a guru at

something that I want to learn or do I

want to have definitely bring somebody

on as special guest of your channel with

the screen and then have that person and

do a collaboration with you in your

video so that your followers can engage

with his followers you know your follow

through follow that person that person

scholarships all you and you guys are

going to collaborating together build a

better brand or just a better following

so you guys all I want to make sure that

you're connecting with people in your

space that can bring value to your

channel and that you can revalue to

their so collaborate collaborate

collaborate it's definitely one of the

top that I've seen it all youtube

channels and if you are just a brand new

starting out channel that's okay because

again you can look for somebody's that

may be no more than you do and you can

have them on as a special guest you're

going to be obviously on their channel

you're going to tag them in the comments

and give us credit and watch a channel

grow things that you don't need to do

whatsoever is vice president there is no

reason why you guys in to break the bank

to be able to deal with our youtube

channel if everyone has insulted you

have a phone a cell phone that's exactly

how you can make a video all you have to

do is these i'm using which comes free

with iphone for androids there's another

program I just know i have an iphone i

use i believe you don't have to use like

all these expenses programs to get

started it's super simple if you have a

phone you have visiting any video

editing software that's okay because

most people when they go and subscribe

your channel they don't want to watch

you they want to hear you so they're not

going to be worried about all the

graphics and all the special effects

that you have they truly truly truly

just want to be a part of you in your

video so don't worry about how fancy you

get you don't need to break the bank

just use your phone that's all you have

and the other thing that you don't have

to do is buy

lighting you do not have to buy

expensive wedding the greatest money in

the world I know especially with all my

facebook lives is natural lighting you

do not have to go and buy all these

expensive lights and worry about who's

going to see or the shadow over here

people on here yes it's great later on

but when you're starting out you do not

need to worry about buying all the

expensive things go out of your bedroom

window your car window your office

window make a video with your cell phone

edit it to your choice and that's it

post that is it so I definitely don't

worry about anything expensive right now

so just a little bonus tip from me if

you guys know a lot of traffic to your

videos if you have facebook if you have

instagram twitter snapchat post your

link on your extra social media and just

start pointing them to your uses

eventually you're going to make enough

noise for people to start watching and

that's okay if you don't have any

followers or any use that's okay the

more you tell people about your videos

the more traffic is going to get so stay

consistent picture niche make sure you

have excellent content so if you guys

are interested in actually seeing my

camera stay tuned to subscribe I'm going

to be closing videos and updates along

the way to make sure that you guys are

totally happy and everything that I'm

hosting making sure that my video is

growing with everything that I say i'm

going to do and hopefully you guys have

some value this again thank you so much

make sure you subscribe my videos how

can i have today i'll see you next time

How to Make A Center Pull Yarn Ball | SewBrenna - Duration: 5:55.

Do you have sad yarn skeins?

Let's turn that frown upside down!

I'm going to show you how to make a center pull yarn skein with just your dancing phalanges.

Yay!! Jazz hands.

If you would like to have a label so you can tell what brand and the dye lot in case you

need to buy more the name and all that good information.

You'll also need a pair of paper scissors, and a safety pin, and possibly a Sharpie.

'Cause like I had to write down the brand.

Take the end of your yarn.

Loop it over your hand.

And then loop it several more times.

Rather loosely.

I'm calling that fine for me.

Take that off.

Leave the end nice and loose.

And then you'll wrap perpendicularly, that's a fun word, around loose.

Very loose.

'Cause if you do this part too tight it will be very difficult to pull it out from

the center.

Been there, done that.

So once you get it nice and fat-ish.

I'll go up this way a bit more.

Just keep this little guy free because that's the part you'll pull out when you get back

to this unused bit of yarn that you have.

So wrap that nice and thick.

And then you'll turn it and wrap diagonally.

Loosely, again, stay loose.

And then once you get a good amount there, slightly

turn. Whoops.

Sometimes I like to do an 'x'.

So I just turn that, oh gosh, I'm making a mess.

So then you'll turn it and wrap it again.

I usually have the skein of yarn, oh I could still do that.

Usually have the skein on the floor.

Be free!

Just jumped. "Wee!"

And you will just continue to wrap, and wrap, and wrap, and turn.

So I'm going to turn, and continue wrapping.

And the trick to getting it mostly flat on the bottom is to come along close to where

your original was that was around your hand.

'Cause this guy, he's nice and flat on the bottom.

I am proud of that one.

Try not to do it too tightly.

Looseness is a good thing.

But then once it gets larger you can start wrapping more tightly.

Your little friend here will try and get trapped up in the wrapping.

So try and keep him loose.

I usually stick him on the other side of my hand and then wrap.

Okay, here is my end.

Follow it around.

And then tuck it in.

Right like that.

My bottom isn't very flat, on this little skein.

Oh there! That's kind of helping!

Sometimes you can pull it as you go.

See if he sits…

Yay!!

He sits!

Good boy.

[Laughing] So there you have it.

And then you just pull from that end.

And he will mostly sit still.

So he doesn't roll all over the room, you don't have to chase him.

Now I'm going to make my little label.

Cut this apart.

Cut the label just where I need it.

Don't need that.

And then take a little safety pin.

Poke that- oh wait, oh oh.

Flying flying.

I'm going to write down the brand on this really quick.

I really do "Love this Yarn".

It's so soft!

Hobby Lobby, you did a good job on that.

Hashtag: not sponsored.

And then just poke it through some of the end pieces.

And you can throw it in your yarn bin.

And you will still know what it is, where it came from, and who its family is.

As I was taking the thumbnail for this picture I was thinking to myself, "This reminds

me of that Hefty commercial for those trash bags."

"Wimpy wimpy wimpy" "Hefty Hefty Hefty".

I'm not sponsored, I just have an odd brain.
