English expression: OH MY GOD / OH MY GOSH - Duration: 1:53.

Hi everybody, what's up? I hope you're doing well

I'm Yoann, and you're on my channel: My life in the USA

Today a new video, a new lesson of the day

Many of you asked

But what does it mean?

Why do I sometimes hear Oh my god? Oh my gosh?

the expression is very well known

everybody uses it, even in France

OMG

I often see it in France OMG

what is it? What's the difference?

it's very easy!

the word Oh my god

But when you believe in god, there is one of the commandements I think

that says: "You shall not take the name of the lord in vain"

it's a blaspheme

to say God

in vain

because it's a blaspheme, it's forbidden

people, modified the word god into gosh

which is another way to say it

in order to avoid the blaspheme

not to say the word god

to compare with something different

some parents who would say "Meerrrr ....credi"

instead of merde (saying shoot instead of shit)

there isn't the religious side

but it's to avoid being vulgar

because a blaspheme

is considered vulgar by religious people

now you know the difference between Oh my god and oh my gosh

now you can use both as you like

I hope you enjoyed this short video

I hope you learned something

if you want me to teach you something else, another expression

or if you have a question

Secrets of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Map Locations (Zelda NES, Link to the Past, Link's Awakening) - Duration: 5:06.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is huge.

No, like really huge.

There's so much to see and do that I'm sure many of you still haven't explored

every part of Hyrule yet.

But in your travels, you've likely come across different areas that seem oddly familiar.

And no, I'm talking about obvious ones like Death Mountain, the Lost Woods, or Zora's

Domain.

What I have in mind are some of the more obscure references that can be found on Breath of

the Wild's map.

Let's take a world tour starting with Easter Eggs of Zelda 1, Zelda 2, A Link to the Past,

and Link's Awakening.

First up is one of the more memorable Zelda callbacks.

One of the bridges in Breath of the Wild is called the Digdogg Suspension Bridge which

refers to Digdogger enemies from the first game.

But that's not the only bridge named after a Zelda enemy as there's also the Manhala

Bridge.

We think that this could be a connection to the boss, Manhandla.

The names are incredibly similar at the very least.

And nearby, there's another bridge called Aquame as well as a lake which, similar to

the Manhala Bridge and Manhandla, is likely a reference to Aquamentus.

On the same note, there's a Gama Cove which may be connected to the boss, Gohma.

It feels like more of a stretch than the Manhandla reference though.

Finally, there's Spectacle Rock which has appeared in multiple Zelda games, but it did

originate in the very first.

What's odd though is that Spectacle Rock is usually located near Death Mountain, but

that's not the case in Breath of the Wild where it's actually closer to the Gerudo

Desert.

Next up is the Zelda 2 Easter Eggs though we admit this first one may be a bit a stretch.

There's an Angel Peak in Breath of the Wild.

This may be a very very small callback to the Trophy item from The Adventure of Link

because it did resemble an angel.

Again this is very loose and may not be the case at all.

But then there's the Carok Bridge which might be named after the Carock enemies from

Zelda 2.

The names are incredibly similar at the very least.

Then we have A Link to the Past.

While there are obvious winks to this one with Kakariko Village and Lake Hylia, being

the first time these famous locations appeared in a Zelda game, we want to focus on the ones

you may have missed.

There's Sahasra Slope which in all likelihood was inspired by the character Sahasrahla.

The other one isn't nearly as solid though.

Breath of the Wild features the Bank of Wishes which might be a callback to the Waterfall

of Wishing in Link to the Past.

But maybe we're just wishing for a connection.

But surprisingly, that seems to be it for references to this game unless we're missing

something.

However, there seems to be a LOT of love for Link's Awakening when it comes to naming

locations in Breath of the Wild.

There's Goponga Island and the Goponga Village Ruins which are likely named after the Goponga

Swamp from Link's Awakening, the Kanalet Ridge, based on the Kanalet Castle, and Koholit

Rock which we think is based on Koholint Island, the setting of Link's Awakening.

But that's not all of them by a long shot.

After all, we still have the Mabe Prairie and the Mabe Village Ruins that may take their

name from Mabe Village in Link's Awakening though obviously it's unlikely that the

Village Ruins is the same place from that game.

There's also the Tabahl Woods that could be a reference to the Tabahl Wasteland and,

naturally, Tal Tal Peak is taken from Tal Tal Heights.

Tama Pond though is one we're not exactly sure of as it could be a reference to Mount

Tamaranch since it does have the same root.

But it may also just be a coincidence.

There are three other locations likely named after places from Link's Awakening.

The first is Toronbo Beach as the Toronbo Shores were the first place Link washed up

on in Koholint.

The second is the Ukuku Plains which takes its name from the Ukuku Prairie.

And finally, there's the Yarna Valley, which is named after the Yarna Desert.

But we're not done with Link's Awakening yet!

Those are just the locations named after places from the game.

There's also the characters.

First is Martha's Landing and we believe it's named after Martha the mermaid.

There's also Mount Taran and Taran Pass that could be named after Marin's father,

Tarin.

And speaking of Marin, there's a Malin Bay.

Now, this could be named after Malon from Ocarina of Time, but because it's close

to the water, we think it's based on Marin from Link's Awakening.

The final location named after something introduced in this Game Boy classic is the Rok Woods

which we believe are named after the Roc's Feather.

Naturally, this is only the beginning.

There are a lot more references to the Zelda series in Breath of the Wild's locations.

So join us next time as we look at the references to Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Oracle

of Ages & Seasons, and Four Swords.

Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe to GameXplain for more on Zelda and other

things gaming.

Steam Locomotive Wheel Arrangements: Train Talk Ep. 10 - Duration: 11:43.

Hello everyone and welcome to Train Talk!

Today, we are going to talk about classifying steam locomotives into various groups, based

on the number and types of wheels they have, also called a wheel arrangement.

During the steam era, many manufacturers produced a wide variety of steam locomotives, most

of which were built specifically for a particular railroad.

To make things even more complicated, many railroads had their own systems of classifying

steam locomotives for purposes of keeping track of them.

So, one of the best ways to organize steam locomotives was based on their wheel arrangement.

Wheels are grouped into three types: pilot wheels, driving wheels, and trailing wheels.

The pilot wheels help guide the heavy locomotive around curves.

Driving wheels are the wheels that actually move the locomotive and train down the track.

These wheels are powered by taking the pressure of expanding steam and using it to move the

large connecting rods that are attached to the drive wheels.

The trailing wheels help support the weight of the fire box.

Keep in mind, not all steam locomotives have pilot wheels or trailing wheels, and some

locomotives don't have either.

Additionally, there are some locomotives that have two different sets of driving wheels,

but we will get to that in a minute.

Ok, so we've grouped our basic types of wheels, now what do we do?

The most used system of designating wheel arrangements is known as the Whyte classification

system, named for its creator Frederick Whyte, a mechanical engineer employed by the New

York Central railroad.

The Whyte system denotes wheel arrangements by counting the number of a certain type of

wheel on both sides of the locomotive, starting at the front and working back with different

sets of wheels separated by a hyphen.

For instance, a locomotive with two pilot wheels, eight driving wheels, and two trailing

wheels would be called a 2-8-2.

It is important to note that when we are counting the wheels, we are counting what is on both

sids of the engine.

So, while you can only see half the wheels when looking at one side of the engine or

the other, we are counting wheels on both sides, which is why this locomotive is called

a 2-8-2 and not a 1-4-1.

This locomotive, which has 2 pilot wheels, 8 driving wheels, and no trailing wheels is

designated as a 2-8-0, the 0 indicating the lack of trailing wheels.

Well, that's pretty much the basics of it.

In addition to these number and hyphen designations, many wheel arrangements were given names.

Let's go through some of the most common wheel arrangements now.

The 4-4-0 was one of the most widely and longest used wheel arrangements of steam locomotives

ever produced.

It was given the name "American", because it was really the railroads of America that

pioneered the use of this wheel arrangement.

4-4-0's were used almost exclusively throughout the mid 1800's and they were still being

produced as late as the 1940s.

This is really the locomotive that most people think of when they imagine the trains of the

old west, often adorned in bright and colorful paint schemes and plenty of brass.

4-4-0's were so popular because they were quite versatile.

They could be used for either passenger or freight service.

The bigger the diameter of the driving wheels, the faster they were designed to go.

Today, there are a number of 4-4-0's that still run in tourist and museum service, the

oldest of which was built in 1856.

The 2-8-0 wheel arrangement, named the "consolidation" was developed in the 1860s and was another

of the more common wheel arrangements of steam locomotives produced.

According to steamlocomotive.com, the name "consolidation" actually comes from the

consolidation of two different railroads into the Lehigh Valley Railroad, which happened

around the same time the wheel arrangement was first produced.

Due to their rather short drive wheels, consolidations were limited in their top speed, so they were

often used to pull heavy freight trains.

Consolidations were produced well into the first half of the 1900s and they were used

right up to the end of the steam era in the United States.

Currently, consolidations are one of the best preserved wheel arrangements of steam locomotives,

and they are among the most common seen in operation today.

The 2-8-2 wheel arrangement was developed in the late 1800's and was named "Mikado".

This name comes from one of the first orders of 2-8-2 locomotives being built for a railway

in Japan.

"Mikado" was the english word for the Japanese Emperor at the time.

Mikados were well balanced, multipurpose locomotives used by many different railroads throughout

the 1900's.

While they were primarily used for freight service, they could be seen pulling passenger

trains from time to time as well.

Mikados, like consolidations, are a well preserved type of locomotive and there are several examples

that still operate today everywhere from tourist railroads to mainline excursion trains.

4-6-2 locomotives, called the Pacific, were primarily used for high speed passenger trains

from the early 1900's through the end of steam in the mid to late 1950s.

It is believed that the name "Pacific" comes from the first operator of this type

of locomotive, the Missouri Pacific, which purchased its first Pacific locomotives in

1902.

Today, a number of Pacifics remain in preservation, but very few of them still operate.

4-8-4s were one of the most popular wheel arrangement of big steam locomotives.

They were named "Northern" because they were first built for the Northern Pacific

Railroad in 1927.

These were powerful locomotives that were built to reach speeds as high as 110 miles

per hour.

Northerns were often used as passenger locomotives, but they also saw service on high priority

fast freight trains.

There are a number of preserved northern type locomotives today, but very few of them still

operate.

Of the ones that do, they are primarily used for excursion service out on the main line.

Locomotives that did not have pilot wheels or trailing wheels were called switchers and

they were typically only used for moving cars short distances.

Switchers came with either 4, 6, or 8 driving wheels and were designated as 0-4-0, 0-6-0,

or 0-8-0.

In addition to standard tender engines, tank engines also use this same classification

system.

Tank engines are noted by putting a capital letter "T" right next to the number of

trailing wheels.

For instance, this locomotive would be classified as a 2-8-2T.

There is one final addition to the wheel arrangement naming system, and that is for locomotives

that have multiple sets of driving wheels, called "mallets" and "articulateds".

These types of locomotives are complicated enough that I want to do an entire episode

on them, so for this episode, we will just focus on the wheel arrangements.

Basically, they follow the same system of designating wheel arrangements except the

multiple sets of driving wheels are separated with a hyphen.

For example, the Union Pacific's articulated locomotive "Big Boy" has 4 pilot wheels,

one set of 8 driving wheels, another set of 8 driving wheels, and then 4 trailing wheels,

so it would be called a "4-8-8-4".

And this locomotive, a tank engine with 2 pilot wheels, 6 driving wheels, one more set

of 6 driving wheels, and then 2 trailing wheels would be called a "2-6-6-2T"

Well, that covers pretty much everything.

Now let's try to figure out what these wheel arrangements are, and learn a few new names

too!

4-4-0 "American"

2-6-0 "Mogul"

2-6-2 "Prairie"

2-8-0 "Consolidation"

4-6-0 "Ten Wheeler"

2-8-2 "Mikado"

4-6-2 "Pacific"

4-6-4 "Hudson"

4-8-4 "Northern"

2-8-4 "Berkshire"

2-6-6-2T "Mallet" tank engine

4-6-6-4 "Challenger" Articulated

Well, we've covered a lot in this episode.

I hope you had fun!

There are some other types of steam locomotives that don't follow the whyte classification

system at all including "geared locomotives" and cog locomotives, but we will cover those

in future episodes.

10 Anecdotes #1 - Danganronpa - Duration: 8:28.

Hello everyone, TGF here, with a new video concept !

Between two Zelda : Breath of The Wild sessions, I noticed

some hidden things everywhere on its world.

So I wondered if Visual Novels games were also filled with little secrets.

And that seems to be the case !

So, in this new mini-series, I will tell you 10 facts about a Visual Novel series.

We will start with the Danganronpa series

developped by Spike Chunsoft and edited in the USA and Europe by NISA.

Don't worry, there won't be any spoilers for the upcoming Danganronpa V3

but there will be minor spoilers for Danganronpa 1, Danganronpa 2 & Danganronpa : Another Episode.

Are you ready ? Here we go !

"Just so you know, I don't feel mercy or sympathy, 'cause I'm a bear, after all !" - Monokuma (Danganronpa 2)

In Danganronpa 2 : Goodbye Despair, in one of the many Monokuma Theaters,

Monokuma doesn't talk to us, or more specifically, he talks to us by Morse Code.

The code in question is the one currently shown on the screen.

But what does it mean ?

If we translate it into English, we get : "BE SURE TO DRINK YOUR KUMATINE.'"

That must mean something, isn't it ?

Indeed. It's a reference to a movie called "A Christmas Story"

and to a particular scene where the protagonist, a young kid,

tries to create spy codesn ending up with the phrase "Be sure to drink your ovaltine".

The scene in question ? Here it is !

Ovaltine ?

A crummy commercial ?

"Will it really give you the hope you're looking for ? I can't say I ever saw it that way..." - Celestia Ludenberg (Danganronpa 1)

Now, let's talk about Celestia Ludenberg, The Ultimate Gambler, for this second trivia.

In her Free Time Events, she references many games she participated in.

The most interesting of them all is obviously "The Liar King" where she said to have faced two opponents

one "honest girl" and one "genius con-man".

It's difficult for manga fans to not see the reference to the Liar Game manga series

and to their main characters : Nao Kanzaki and Shinichi Akiyama.

"And together, we are....The Monokumas !" - Monomi (Danganronpa 2)

Monomi, or Usami, is the instigator of the field trip in Danganronpa 2 : Goodbye Despair.

However, we can see her in Danganronpa : Trigger Happy Havoc !

Where exactly ?

Monomi appears to be one of the things Monokuma ask you to construct in Danganronpa's School Mode

a bonus mode of Danganronpa, under the name of Warlockuma.

When you succeed, with your hard work, to assemble the pieces for Warlockuma

it appears under the looks of Usami and allows the students to leave the school.

It's a good ending of that School Mode.

"If it means we get another step closer to unmasking the mastermind, it really doesn't bother me..." - Kyoko Kirigiri (Danganronpa 1)

In the very first trailer of Danganronpa : Another Episode,

the developpers did tease that the game is going to be sports-based

featuring Ishamaru, Sakura and Aoi and also Kyoko as a basketball player.

The reason for this odd choice is that the seiyuu of Kyoko Kirigiri,

Yoko Hikasa is also known for her contribution to a basketball-based anime called Ro-Kyu-Bu !

In this anime, Yoko Hikasa plays the role of Saki Nagatsuka.

In addition, Yoko Hikasa is part of J-Pop Group with 4 seiyuus of this anime series.

"And as soon as the beam touched it, the burgers started floating in mid-air !" - Yasuhiro Hagakure (Danganronpa 1)

The next trivia may be short-sized, but it is important nonetheless

We're talking about Yasuhiro Hagakure. He is the Ultimate Clairvoyant and he does divinations from the future.

However, his accuracy keeps varying !

In the games, he says to us that his accuracy rate is about 20 %.

However, in the anime and specifically in Episode 6 of Danganronpa 3, he says that his accuracy rate is 30 %!

The reason for this change between game and anime is unknown to us.

Hiiiiiii ! I'm Junko Enoshima ! Charmed, I'm sure !" - Junko Enoshima (Danganronpa 1)

Let's talk about Junko Enoshima. His talent is "Ultimate Fashionista"

but in Japanese, it's not really described that way.

The exact term used is "Ultimate Gyaru"

The word "gyaru" makes reference to girls, whose fashion sense make them

follow all the trends of fashion like modify her costume (like Junko with her skirt)

or decorate her telephone. The gyaru are rivals to other girls types like the geishas.

"I don't know why, but...I have a burning desire to start writing !" - Toko Fukawa (Danganronpa 1)

Let's talk now about Toko Fukawa and her childhood. The young Ultimate Novelist reveals

in her Free Time Events, that she has one father but two mothers

in which one prefers Western meals and the other prefers Japanese meals.

In Ultra Despair Girls, we learn the reason of her fear of the dark :

it is connected to her being abused as a child.

That would explain her dissociative identity disorder, when I think of it...

"This wasn't supposed to...Why me ?" - Junko Enoshima (Danganronpa 1)

In Chapter 1 of Danganronpa : Trigger Happy Havoc,

Junko Enoshima is pierced by spears because she hasn't respected the rules

she attacked Monokuma. She was pierced by the Spears of Gugnir.

You're maybe asking where the Gugnir name comes from.

Gugnir is a name from the Norse Mythology

and references of the weapon carried by Odin, the main god of the Norse Mythology.

The spear is described as being so well balanced that it could strike any target, no matter the skill or strength of the wielder.

"In a true competition, there's no such thing as a tie !" - Kiyotaka Ishimaru (Danganronpa 1)

Kiyotaka Ishimaru believes that "when the body is naked, so is the soul"

This is based off the traditional Japanese concept of "naked socializing" (裸の付き合い hadaka no tsukiai)

It explores the fact that collective nudity helps mutual bonds

and without distinguisinghing people according to social class with the calm atmosphere

of onsen, Japanese public baths. You have to know that in onsens, nudity is mandatory.

People are usually not allowed to wear swimsuits in onsens.

Now, we have a better understanding on why Mondo Oowada and him shared a strong bond.

"There's only one Ultimate Masseuse, and that's me : NEKOMARU NIDAII !" - Nekomaru Nidai (Danganronpa 2)

Finally, let's talk about chapters names in Danganronpa 2 : Goodbye Despair.

The 3rd Chapter "Trapped by The Ocean Scent" is linked to one of the Original Soundtrack Music.

What's especially interesting is the name of the 4th Chapter "Do Ultimate Robots Dream of Clockwork ?"

It references a Phillip K.Dick book called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep ?"

(his french name being "Les Androides rêvent-ils de moutons électriques?")

This book inspired the Blade Runner movie,

a masterpiece by Ridley Scott, starring Harrison Ford.

And that's it for my 10 facts about interesting things in Danganronpa !

I hope you appreciated this video, and if that's the case,

don't forget to like, share, comment and subscribe if you want me to do more of these.

It was TGF, signing off for new adventures !

Stay Tuned for whatever is with me and goodbye everybody !

Music & Notes used in the Description Check by Spireal, thanks to him !

Will (athousandowls) | The Road to Nerdfighteria - Duration: 3:30.

Hi there! In true John Green style, I didn't

manage the film all that I wanted to when I

was at NerdCon: Nerdfighteria, so I'm

going to essentially copy him and talk

over what footage I do have. Sorry, John.

Please don't sue me. Summing up my

thoughts about NerdCon, even two weeks

later, is really difficult for me, but I'm

going to start by saying what I said in

a post I made on Facebook in the NerdCon

Attendees Group. The space that was

created here was the most welcoming,

friendly, and unabashedly enthusiastic

space I've ever come across. And for me,

it's where Nerdfighteria became real. Before

this Nerdfighteria was not a

physical place for me, but an almost

unreachable community, that while amazing

and made of awesome, really only existed

online or in my head. I never really felt

like I was ever part of the community or

a whole. I will freely admit now that that

was largely if not entirely my own

fault for not taking initiative and

getting involved in the things that must

have been happening around me, but even

if you are involved in some sort of

community, whether it be a theater group

of community allotments or anything else -

it's very easy to feel alone, like

you don't belong. And unfortunately,

because I live halfway across the world

from America, I had always felt like this

within the Vlogbrothers community,

despite having been a part of it since

2010. Throughout all that time, up until

very recently, I never spoke to anyone

about being a Nerdfighter or about any

of the amazing nerdy things I was

interested in, because I felt like the

people around me just wouldn't

understand. And the people who were were

so physically far removed for me that

there wasn't any point in doing so. Oh,

how wrong I was. In a small corner of the

world in Boston, Massachusetts, a

community that felt almost imaginary all

at once became real. I traveled halfway

across the world on my own to meet people

I'd only ever seen pixelated,

google hangouts or photographs. People who

have become some of my best friends. "I've

not actually done this yet, but these are my

friends!

Look at all these beautiful people!" I saw people I've looked

up to for so long in three whole dimensions!

I saw so many pizza john shirts and

This Star Won't Go Out wristbands, but I couldn't count

them all. And throughout the entire

experience, I got to sing ridiculous

nerdy songs at the absolute top of my

lungs. For the first time of my entire

life, surrounded by people who all truly

understand, there aren't many groups

around in which you can without fear

sing the words, "We're all going to die!" at

the loudest possible volume and still

feel like the happiest people in the

world. Coming to NerdCon was one of the

best decisions I have made in my life. I

watched this community grow for so long

but facets of it are simply ingrained in

me. And looking back over the last ten

years, I've seen so much what makes me

happy, what makes me laugh that I am proud

of. Our community has achieved so much

and will achieve so much more. And

alongside my friends who are sharing

this amazing experience with me, I don't

feel alone anymore. And what's worth so

much more to me is that I can finally

own part of my identity. I'm no longer just

a scrawny, shy kid from England. No longer

am I a freak, or a weirdo, or a child, or

hopeless. No longer do I have to feel

alone in a community that has been a

part of me as much as I have been a part

of it. I have a place here. I am a

nerdfighter and I am proud of it. And if

you're a nerdfighter, I want you to say

it with me. I am a nerdfighter and I am

proud of it. I think that about sums it

up,

Hello, if you made it this far, you're

probably wondering who the heck I am. My

name is Will but, I go by athousandowls

on YouTube and if you liked what

you saw here, feel free to head on over

to my channel and click on anything you

fancy. Thanks for watching!

IN GOLDFINGER, A WOMAN IS KILLED BY BEING COVERED IN GOLD.

IN QUANTUM OF SOLACE, A WOMAN IS KILLED BY BEING COVERED IN OIL.

CONNERY'S BOND IS ARROGANT AND SMUG.

HE RARELY MAKES MISTAKES AND ALWAYS COMPLETES HIS MISSION.

CRAIG'S BOND SEEMS DARKER, MORE TRAGIC.

WHAT IF HIS DARKNESS COMES FROM CONSTANTLY TRYING TO LIVE UP TO THE IMAGE OF THE FATHER?

MAYBE THIS IS WHY EVERYTHING THAT CONNECTED CRAIG TO HIS FATHER - THE HOUSE, THE CAR,

EVEN M - HAD TO BE DESTROYED.

CRAIG COULDN'T GET OUT FROM UNDER THE SHADOW OF HIS FATHER...

UNTIL HE GOT RID OF EVERYTHING THAT CONNECTED HIM TO HIS LEGACY.

I understand you get impatient with me.. when I'm in the bathroom..

and and..

And I'm doing my hair

When you do that it makes me very angered and and..

and flustered?

The next time I'm in the bathroom..

and I'm styling my hair..

Maybe..

You could just wait a few..

Extra minutes.. for me to finish?

Ok?

Step 2: Do and Don'ts

You are always rushing me out of the bathroom!

You're just jealous that I have better hair than you!

Now I just would like to have a few more minutes of peace when I'm doing my hair

I take pride in the way I look And when my hair looks look, I feel good too

Step 3: Stay on track

I'm just so tired of you styling your hair like the ''The Fonz'' anyway

I just bought that hair gel yesterday

and already you've gone through half of it

So what you're saying is…

It's not all the time I spend in the bathroom..

But it's the fact that I'm using all of your hair product

Step 4: Just say ''No''

You just need to cut all your hair off so this drama can be done

I will not do such a thing

You want me to cut off my hair..

Because it drives you crazy.. that it takes me so long to style it?

But I won't do that..

Because I'm nothing without my hair

My hair..

Completes me

Continue honestly expressing your feelings, opinions and rights

And respecting others while doing it

And you'll be on your way to a happy, healthy and assertive life

Ballerina Dream - Random Acts - Duration: 7:09.

We are at the Grand America Hotel,

where we are waiting for Michael, Angela and Emmalene

to come downstairs and eat breakfast

where I am going to serve them myself,

and surprise them with their ballet performance

and their tour.

>>Everything is in place, and we are ready to go,

but we have to hurry because you need

to make the breakfast.

>>Make the breakfast?

[music] Alright, so have we enjoyed breakfast this morning?

>>Yes, we did thank you.

>>I am so very glad.

You know breakfast is the most important meal

of the day, especially if you have

some big surprises coming your way, right?

>>She's doing the reveal.

>>My name is Emily.

I said that before, but I don't actually work here

at the Grand America.

>>You don't?

>> I don't

>>Oh.

>>I work with a TV show, called Random Acts,

We're a hidden camera show.

and we do kind things for other people.

We heard that Emmalene loves to go to the ballet

so we would like to treat you to a day at the ballet

and a wonderful backstage tour as well

so we want to give you the royal treatment.

>>Yes.

>>That's awesome.

>>Let's get going.

Well, before we do I'd like to introduce you

to our other host.

>>Hi!

Good morning!

>>This is Lisa.

>>And how are you?

Can I give you a hug?

>>We figure if you're going to go to the ballet today,

that you should do so in style.

So, this is for you.

[Emmalene squeals]

>>I know, right?

>>Have you been in a limo?

>>Everybody's here for you, yes.

>>Yes, we're all here for you.

>>She just can't believe all this is for her.

>>Let's go.

>>Shall we?

>>Oh my gosh, that is awesome.

>>Isn't that lovely?

>>She might be more excited by the car ride over.

>>This is fun!

>>Such a little lady!

>>Do you feel fancy?

[Emmalene laughs]

>>I think that's a yes.

>>Now, we're going to go upstairs

to see where the ballerinas rehearse.

>>It's crazy!

>>Are you ready?

[clapping]

>>This is Adam.

He is the Artistic Director and CEO of Ballet West.

>>Nice to meet you.

It's exciting that you're here.

And we're excited to be performing for you.

But you could really help us out.

Perhaps you would be in the show with us today?

Would you like that?

[Emmalene indicates yes.]

[laughing]

>>She wants to show how she dances.

>>Show us please.

Oh, that's wonderful.

How beautiful.

Oh, that's fantastic.

[clapping]

>>Now while the rest of the dancers get ready,

you have to get ready also for the performance.

So we have to get you in hair and makeup and a costume

so you can go onstage properly.

[laughing and clapping]

>>Let's go get ready.

>>Alright, so we are in the costume shop right now.

Emmalene is in the dressing room getting her hair

and makeup done.

And she is just loving it.

I gotta go back in before I miss something cute.

[music]

>>Oh, this is so exciting.

>>How you doing Mom?

>>Awesome!

>>Are you okay?

>>It's hard for her to be able to be a dancer

because if she were not in a wheelchair

she would be dancing all over the place all the time.

That is like a dream for her

that I didn't think she'd ever get.

Wow.

Look at you.

>>Good morning, we want to welcome you here

to the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre

for the Ballet West production of "The Sleeping Beauty".

>>Today will be the first time she doesn't have to live

her dream through other people,

she can be in it and actually do it herself.

That is incredible.

It's your turn.

It's your turn.

[music]

>>Mommy watched you on there.

[music]

>>You were beautiful.

>>That's our show.

Thank you so much to Grand America and a huge thanks

to Ballet West, to all of the performers and family.

How to Use Insert Target in Affinity Designer! (NEW) - Duration: 5:09.

Hi guys, thanks for me for another affinity designer tutorial.

Today I'm going to be going over how to

Use insert Target right after this

Okay, so before we get started go ahead and look in the description and you will be able to download this from download

link

so

Insert Target is right up here, and if you don't have this up here on your affinity Designer. Go ahead and go to View

and go to

Customize toolbar and then you'll be all you stick it right up there

from right here, so you can just grab this and push pull it up here, so

Go ahead and do that. If you haven't done that yet, and

So what insert Target does is if you click select one of these?

It will determine where your next layer goes

so for example if I wanted to make a

Bluish strip going across "Dallas 2017"

including these little stars shapes, and I would go ahead and click on the

rectangle tool and

Then I would click on this

Layer and it's really important to click on the layer

Before you make another layer or use any of these tools so once I've clicked on the tick

Layer then I'm going to go ahead and click insert target this one which makes it in and the inside

so if I pull it

It will make it go right inside

There and I'll be able to adjust it

However, I want

and also it creates sort of like a group, but it's

not really a group so but you can still open it an d

It's a parent-child relationship between these two layers, and then you can you know, mess with it, to

however, you want

I'm going to pull this one up a bit a

little bit Longer

There we go

Okay

Now we're going to shut now. I'm going to show you how to do these ones and what they do

so if I wanted to make a square behind this

That's sort of grayish

Then I would just click on this layer click on square tool

So go ahead and click on the behind

Insert Target, and then come here and click on square, and then just draw my square

and obviously I don't want it to be blue and you can see the middle of "Dallas" and

"2017" and

Go ahead and ajust it

And then I'm going to turn it on a black

and then

pull it

down a little bit

Okay

this isn't

necessarily how I would keep it just an example that I'm doing for you and also the other one works exact same way it just

Puts it above

So I hope this tutorial was useful to you and again if you want download this it's for free

And I just go to go ahead and look in the description and you can download it and use it for anything you want now

I did it a dallas because

Thats

near where I love and I just really like Dallas. So go ahead and like this video and

if you haven't subscribed yet, please subscribe, and Because I give out free tutorials and updates and

and also if you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below just right down there and

Hope you check out my other videos and thanks for watching!!!
