Hello.

I'm Brian Fitzgerald The Golf Doctor.

And today I'm going to show you a little drill that's going to help you improve the quality

of your strike and all it takes is one of these.

A little bottle cap.

If you're interested stay tuned.

[MUSIC]

So if this is the first time to this channel.

Welcome.

This channel is all about helping you play better golf.

And today's drill is going to help you improve the quality of your strike.

A lot of people struggle with the quality of the strike.

And they tend to hit behind the ball or they hit the ball too thin.

What we are really after is.

When the club comes down and approaches the ball we really want the club to hit the ball

first.

It then goes down hitting the grass slightly after and then eventually it comes up.

So we do want to hit down on the golf ball.

But we don't have to think about hitting down on the golf ball.

The way I prefer to think of it is as we swing a golf club the club is traveling in a "U"

shape.

So at some point the club is coming down.

At some point it is traveling parallel to the ground.

And at some point it's comming up.

So we don't really need to think oh i've got to hit down on it.

Because if you do start thinking of hitting down too much.

You are going to hit down behind the ball.

Which is not going to produce a good quality strike.

So if we just think in terms of the fact that the club is making a semi-circle or it's an

arc movement.

We just need to position the ball in our stance to make that the easiest.

Now I think probably the best place to play the ball is the middle of your stance.

It can be slightly forward of middle but we certainly don't want it too far back and certainly

not too far forward.

I see a lot of my clients play the ball off their left heel for the right handed golfers

among us.

And that's just producing bad shots.

You will hit the ground behind.

So if we just take a simple bottle cap and we put it on the ground and we position the

bottle cap so it's in the middle of our stance or just slightly to my left.

I don't want to feel like I am going to hit the ground.

I want to hit the bottle cap and then I want to hit the ground slightly in front of the

bottle cap.

So we will see how I go.

Remember I don't want to have to think about hitting down.

If I hit down it's going to catch behind the bottle top.

I am just thinking of making my nice arc "U" shape swing.

And the ball position will take care of the rest.

And the bottle cap has gone through.

I hit the bottle cap first.

The club then lightly touched the grass.

I took a divot after the ball.

And the ball went up in the air.

So if we can do that a few times.

And just get used to hitting balls with the bottle cap.

Then we can just put a ball down there and we try and do exactly the same thing.

So I have hit the ball.

The club has brushed the grass post impact.

The ball has gone nice height, straight I didn't hit it fat, I didn't hit it thin.

It was a good quality strike.

Thank you for letting me help you with your golf.

Nunes: We actually want the 'ridiculous' Dem memo released.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) on Sunday said he actually

wants the Democratic rebuttal to a now-infamous GOP-crafted surveillance memo to be released.

"We actually want the Democratic memo out.

We think it's ridiculous on the face of it," Nunes said during an interview on Fox

News.

"We think it's very political how about they attack myself, they attack Chairman Gowdy,

they turn Carter Page into some super-secret Russian spy, they talk about how Christopher

Steele is a really, really good source when we know that he lied to the FBI."

Nunes said he doesn't know why Democrats on the committee aren't spending the weekend

"redacting it so that we can get it back to the White House so the president can declassify

it."

Nunes' comments come after the White House announced last week President Trump was not

ready to approve the release of the Democratic memo.

White House counsel Don McGahn wrote a letter to Nunes explaining that "although the president

is inclined to declassify" the Democratic memo, the administration believes it would

create "especially significant concerns" for "national security and law enforcement

interests."

Trump on Saturday tweeted that the Democrats knew their memo would have to be heavily redacted.

"The Democrats sent a very political and long response memo which they knew, because of

sources and methods (and more), would have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would

blame the White House for lack of transparency," Trump tweeted Saturday.

"Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!"

Nunes said during the interview that it's not a "surprise" Trump blocked the release

of the Democratic memo.

"The Democrats have been on T.V. all weekend long.

Their memo is sitting at the House Intelligence Committee down at the bottom of the capital

waiting to be redacted," he said.

"If they really wanted to get it out, they'd be down there all day yesterday redacting

it, getting it back over to the White House so that the public can know what's in it."

6 Bacteria with Awesome Superpowers - Duration: 10:04.

[ ♪ Intro ♪ ]

Bacteria.

They're never going to officially become superheroes in the Marvel or DC universes,

but some of them probably should be.

They've been around for about 3.5 billion years, and some of them have also evolved

pretty incredible abilities, which let them survive in almost every potential scenario on Earth.

They might not have cool costumes like Captain America or Wonder Woman, but here are six

bacteria with amazing superpowers.

First, there's Geobacter metallireducens.

Like all living things, this bacteria needs to generate energy.

But instead of using oxygen or carbon dioxide, like many animals and plants, it does so using

electrical current.

Which should not even be possible.

They produce energy using cellular respiration -- a process which also makes excess electrons

that have to be dumped somewhere.

A common electron acceptor, or oxidizing agent, that cells use to complete this chemical reaction

is oxygen.

That's what humans use, which is why you and I need to breathe.

But G. metallireducens lives underwater, in sediments where oxygen is in short supply…

so it uses iron and manganese from the environment instead.

It grows tiny hairlike structures called pili to transfer electrons to the metal -- these

are essentially biological wires through which electric current is flowing.

If it runs out of metal, it can even grow a little tail called a flagellum to swim to

a new location, following chemical signals to find the materials it needs.

And, like any good superhero, this bacteria is also sneaky when it comes to using its powers.

Researchers didn't find out it uses electricity by seeing it in action -- because to save

energy, G. metallireducens only grows pili or a flagellum when it needs them.

Instead, scientists figured this out when they sequenced the bacteria's genome and

found the genes that code for flagella!

Apparently even superheroes can't hide from DNA sequencing.

The next super bacteria is Deinococcus radiodurans.

Its power has landed it in the Guinness Book of World Records, where it's listed as the

world's most radiation-resistant life form.

It can survive being blasted with 1.5 million rads of gamma radiation -- which is at least

a thousand times the amount it would take to kill a human.

It was discovered in 1956, when scientists were experimenting with using radiation to

sterilize canned food.

Which isn't as scary as it sounds -- it's actually totally safe and is still done sometimes today.

But the researchers working on this were amazed when one can of meat spoiled anyway.

The ruined can contained a mysterious red substance… which turned out to be a colony

of D. radiodurans.

This bacteria has a couple of different ways of protecting itself from intense radiation.

For one thing, it produces high levels of protective antioxidants -- including carotenoids,

the same compounds that make carrots orange, and give the bacteria that characteristic

reddish color.

Antioxidants counter the destructive effects of free radicals, highly reactive molecule

fragments produced by radiation.

That's because they can offer up electrons to stabilize free radicals without becoming

destabilized themselves.

Every D. radiodurans cell also contains four to ten copies of its genome, so that it can

recreate DNA sequences destroyed by radiation.

It stitches together backup bits using a special protein called RecA.

Now, high doses of gamma rays aren't exactly a problem you often run into on Earth.

So D. radiodurans probably evolved these abilities to survive extreme dehydration, which can

have similar destructive effects.

Today, scientists think they may be able to put it to use cleaning up toxic waste sites

with radiation levels that would destroy most microbes.

They've also managed to splice in genes from another bacteria species to create a

strain of D. radiodurans that can break down an organic compound called toluene, which

is a common contaminant in toxic waste sites.

So someday, a microbe that's spoiled our food could also be saving us from toxic waste!

Most movie and comic book superheroes probably enjoy munching on something like, say, shawarma,

after saving the universe.

But Ideonella sakaiensis prefers something a little crunchier — like plastic.

Specifically, polyethylene terephthalate, or PET.

Whether you know it or not, you probably use this stuff every day.

It's a lightweight, colorless, strong plastic that's used in everything from disposable

water bottles to polyester clothes.

But this material is really hard to break down… unless you're I. sakaiensis.

A team of Japanese scientists discovered this plastic-eating bacteria in 2016, while hoping

to find something that could break down PET, and they eventually published their results

in the journal Science.

They started by collecting 250 sediment, soil, and water samples from a plastic bottle recycling site.

Then, back in the lab, they checked each sample to see if any microbes in it were consuming

PET and using it to grow -- and one of them was.

The bacteria they found use at least two enzymes to digest PET.

First, they stick to the plastic's surface and secrete an enzyme into it, dubbed PETase,

that breaks it down into an intermediate chemical called MHET, which is absorbed into the cell.

Then, other enzymes break MHET down even further, producing carbon and energy that the bacteria

can use.

Depending on the temperature, it would take a community of these bacteria about six weeks

to totally break down a thin film of PET.

And scientists hope that someday, these plastic-munching microbes may play a role in keeping waste

out of landfills.

The world's strongest glue isn't on the shelves of your local hardware store — or

in Spider-Man's webs.

It's made by a bacteria called Caulobacter crescentus, and this adhesive was described

in 2006 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

This microbe usually colonizes wet surfaces like boat hulls, and once it does, it's

really tough to clean it off, even with something like a pressure washer.

It adheres to these surfaces using a natural glue-like substance made out of molecules

called polysaccharides, or long chains of sugars linked together.

Sticking to a surface provides the bacteria with a stable environment, where potential

food might settle.

A team of scientists had been studying other aspects of C. crescentus's biology, but

they decided to test its adhesive powers after noticing how hard it was to remove it from

glass plates.

They grew individual bacteria cells on the tips of flexible pipettes, and then used a

second pipette to try and pull the cells off.

Based on how far the flexible pipette bent before the cell came loose, they could calculate

the force involved.

It turns out it takes around 70 newtons per square millimeter to rip a C. crescentus cell

from a surface.

This means the bacteria are about seven times stronger than geckos' famously sticky footpads

and almost three times as strong than commercial superglue.

They're sticky enough that you could suspend several cars from a quarter-sized spot of this glue.

Take that, Peter Parker.

To avoid wasting any glue or sticking itself to the wrong thing, this bacteria needs to

apply its glue precisely and efficiently.

Each cell has a flagellum, and when that flagellum comes in contact with a surface, nearby pili

jump in to stabilize it and keep it from moving.

This stimulates the cell to start producing glue.

Because it works even in wet conditions, scientists think the sticky, sugary substance might have

applications as a surgical adhesive.

So C. crescentus could be coming soon to an operating room near you.

Many bacteria are known for being able to tolerate extreme heat.

But some of the most heat-tolerant of them all come from the genus Aquifex.

Which kind of already sounds like a superhero's name.

These thermophiles -- which literally means "heat-lovers" -- live in places like the

hot springs in Yellowstone National Park, where the water can get up to 100 degrees Celsius.

There, they grow in all sorts of cool-looking white and pink mats and streamers.

Like other thermophiles, they thrive in such hot environments thanks to adaptations like

special proteins, which don't unravel at high temperatures.

But living in hot water isn't Aquifex's only superpower.

These bacteria are also called chemolithoautotrophic, which means they get their energy from inorganic

compounds in their environment.

They fuel their cells with molecules like hydrogen, carbon dioxide, mineral salts, and oxygen.

And the fact that they use oxygen is pretty surprising.

Even though many bacteria like hot temperatures, most of them are anaerobic, which means they

don't use oxygen to generate energy.

In fact, most heat-loving bacteria will die when they're exposed to it.

But for some reason, Aquifex has no problem with oxygen -- in fact, some kinds need it

to stay alive.

And it doesn't even take much oxygen to keep them going.

They can survive with only a little bit of it -- somewhere around 8 parts per million.

Because it can survive both extreme temperatures and low levels of oxygen, Aquifex may even

be useful in industry and other scientific research.

So even among thermophiles, this bacteria is extra super.

And finally, we have Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Which is exactly what you think it is.

Normally, gonorrhea is only famous for being a sexually-transmitted disease, but I'm

guessing you don't know about the other wild thing these bacteria can do.

According to a 2008 study from the journal PLOS Biology, they are, gram-for-gram, the

strongest organisms on Earth.

Which might seem alarming.

Gonorrhea use pili -- those cable-like appendages found on other bacteria -- to crawl across

surfaces and attach to and infect other cells.

Scientists studying how these infections take hold placed individual gonorrhea microbes

in an array of stretchy gel pillars.

When a bacterium grabbed at one of these tiny pillars with its pili, the pillar would bend

over, and the scientists could measure how far they bent to calculate the amount of force

being exerted.

They aren't sure why, but about 1 in 100 times, what started as a standard grab would

keep going and get stronger… and stronger.

Using an electron microscope, the scientists confirmed that the bacteria were bundling

additional pili together to exert more and more force.

These marathon tugging sessions could last for hours and end up pulling ten times harder

than when they started.

A single gonorrhea bacterium could exert up to about one billionth of a newton of force.

That may not sound like a lot -- but consider how tiny one bacteria cell is.

An individual gonorrhea microbe can pull 100,000 times its body weight, making this possibly

the strongest biological force measured to date.

So basically, gonorrhea might just be Superman's Kryptonite.

Which is a sentence I have never said before.

The reason this bundling behavior hadn't been observed before is that a protein used

to help study bacteria actually stops gonorrhea from bundling their pili.

Of course, we still don't know much about why this bacteria, of all things, evolved

to be a tug-of-war champion -- there's still a lot more to learn.

But it's definitely awesome.

Remember, just because something is tiny, that doesn't mean it's not powerful.

And hopefully the stories of these sticky, shocking, superhero microbes have increased

your respect for the world of bacteria.

Because comic superheroes have nothing on these organisms.

Stars Who Are Much Different Than They Seem - Duration: 5:09.

In today's world of social media and tabloids, it's harder than ever for celebrities to maintain

their carefully crafted public images.

But when the truth finally comes out, it's not always bad - sometimes, stars are actually

nicer than people thought.

Not every time, though.

So what's the truth behind your favorite celebrity?

Here's a look at some stars who are much different than they seem.

Michael Jordan

In the '80s and '90s, millions of kids wanted to be "Like Mike."

"Oh, if I could be like Mike!"

"Like Mike!"

"If I could be like Mike."

"If I could be like Mike!"

And why wouldn't they?

After all, Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles and was one of the

most famous, well-liked, and well-paid athletes on Earth.

He even helped Bugs Bunny save the world from alien invasion!

"Hey everybody, look at your hero now."

Since then, clues have leaked out suggesting that Mike might actually be kind of a jerk.

When he was a player, for instance, Jordan punched multiple teammates at practice.

During a game, he once called Muggsy Bogues – the shortest player in NBA history — a

"f---ing midget."

And when he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009, he used most of his

speech to call out different people in his life who had pissed him off.

"Thank you, Hall of Fame, for raising ticket prices, I guess."

Stay classy, Mike!

Stephen Colbert

With a background that includes The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert

is the most politically-minded of the network late-night hosts, using a cuttingly sarcastic

wit to tackle the issues of the day.

He's certainly not perceived as being nearly as warm and fuzzy as genial hosts like Jimmy

Fallon or James Corden.

So it might surprise you to learn that from 2003-2005, while still a correspondent on

the Daily Show, the devoutly Catholic Colbert doubled as a dedicated Sunday School teacher,

volunteering to lead religious education courses at St. Cassian Church in Upper Montclair.

So whatever you do, don't challenge him on bible knowledge, or he will literally school

you.

"Obviously, you learned well in Sunday school."

"I TEACH Sunday school, motherf---er!"

John Lennon

The Beatle who penned "All You Need is Love" and "Give Peace a Chance" didn't always practice

what he preached.

Behind the scenes, John Lennon was reportedly abusive toward women, unfaithful to his first

wife, and an absentee father to his first born.

In 1980, just three months before he was slain outside his Manhattan apartment, Lennon claimed

in a Playboy interview that his years with second wife Yoko Ono had left him a changed

man.

"It is the most violent people who go for love and peace.

Everything's the opposite.

But I sincerely believe in love and peace.

I am a violent man who has learned not to be violent and regrets his violence."

Carroll O'Connor

Perhaps no single character in pop culture has more convincingly sold the role of an

ignorant racist windbag better than Archie Bunker.

That's a solid testament to the acting skill of All in the Family star Carroll O'Connor,

who was considered to be a very kind and thoughtful man by those who knew him.

In his memoir, showrunner Norman Lear wrote that O'Connor nearly quit the show several

times because he found the material so personally offensive.

Lear said,

"It was understandable to a degree.

He was, after all, at the beginning of a process where he was to shed the gentle Irish intellectual

Carroll O'Connor to become the poorly educated, full-of-himself blowhard Archie Bunker, spewing

a kind of rancid, lights-out conservatism for a television audience that grew quickly

to more than 50 million people."

Dean Martin

Legendary Rat Pack star Dean Martin built his whole act around being a fun and flirty

drunk, always just a little bit amusingly tipsy whenever he'd take the stage in Las

Vegas or in a TV studio to film an episode of The Dean Martin Show.

"'I'll get us another drink!"

But according to his son, Ricci, the drunk act was just that - an act.

Ricci wrote in his memoir That's Amore: A Son Remembers Dean Martin that the legendary

entertainer was much more of a sipper than a guzzler, writing,

"Dad usually had a J&B scotch and soda he nursed through the performance.

It was almost always a weak scotch and soda.

Other times it was just apple juice."

Flavor Flav

On reality shows like The Surreal Life, Flavor of Love, and Strange Love, star Flavor Flav

didn't necessarily come across like the sharpest tool in the shed.

And that played right into the crazy, weird persona that he developed as a member of the

iconic rap group Public Enemy, when the kid named William Drayton, Jr. turned himself

into wackadoo legend Flavor Flav.

But don't be fooled by the act: Flav is actually something of a prodigy.

Teaching himself to play piano at the age of five, Flav went on to learn 15 different

instruments without a scrap of instruction.

He told The Daily Beast,

"…the way that I was able to accomplish that was by cutting my classes, hanging out

in the band room all day, and going from one instrument to the next to the next, until

I learned how to play everything by ear."

Nine one one might be a joke, but Flavor Flav is the real deal.

Meeting My Shadow Family - Duration: 10:09.

Meeting My Shadow Family

by Mozelle Martin,

At nine-years-old, I was always fascinated by the boiler room in our basement. Growing

up in a very haunted 1800s Victorian hotel, I was obsessed with that room. My tummy cramped

very badly each time I was near the room, yet I persisted. Staring, my eyes alternated

between the actual boiler and the walls, sometimes for hours. The only lighting in this cement

room was the glow from the boilers pilot light.

Eventually I started seeing random flashes of light. At other times, lights would slowly

go across the walls like a spider. Initially when I tried to visually follow the lights,

they would suddenly vanish as if someone turned them off. At other times, I was able to follow

them until they went around the corner or through a crevice.

The more I went into this room, the more frequent these lights became. Eventually, I met my

first shadow people. When I first saw the shadow, I thought my parents were behind me;

when I turned to look, nobody was there. The basement was not accessible to hotel guests

due to the door being locked, and I had access to the only key. Then I thought maybe it was

my own shadow, but I was standing still while they were moving.

One day I felt as if a shadow man was staring back at me. Obviously, I could not see his

face but it felt chilling. Just then my tummy cramped as it always did whenever I was in

danger, so I yelled, Go away, leave me alone, and ran out of the room. For a week

I avoided the basement unless my mother was with me. Even though I felt scared, my obsession

increased.

Finally, after giving in to my obsession, I grabbed our Polaroid camera and returned

to the basement. My intention was to take just one picture of the shadow people and

then show the picture to my adoptive parents. After taking a bunch of pictures, I went upstairs

and laid them on the kitchen table, I anxiously waited in anticipation of seeing a shadow

person. Just then my parents walked in. After seeing 30 pictures of an ugly boiler, they

became very angry with me for wasting three packs of Polaroid film.

I tried to tell them both what I had been experiencing; they said I was dreaming and

that what I claimed to see was absolutely impossible. I insisted that what I was

seeing was very real; they told me to stop lying. As a result, they did everything

in their power to prevent me from going back down there including hiding the key. However,

as a sly child, I saw where they put it.

I didnt mention it for a couple months and, because I had always loved taking pictures,

I begged for a camera of my own. For Christmas that year, I received a Canon Canonet. I was

so excited because, while my parents thought I had forgotten about the boiler room, I hadnt.

Armed with my new camera, I headed to the boiler room. I waited until they went to bed

and spent all night down there, almost every night. After repeated attempts over several

months time, I finally ended up with the photo I wanted so desperately.

Meeting My Shadow Family

One area that I was always scared of alongside the boiler room was a short hallway that led

to some narrow steps which led to an unknown location. My father, who was 60 and

195 pounds, could not fit in there. My mother, who was 52 and 130 pounds, could barely

fit in there. So I knew at 411 and 88 pounds that I could and, despite my fearful

resistance that increased my desire to do so.

Off and on during the previous months of trying to capture a shadow person on film, I had

seen round white, semi-transparent circles floating in and out of the cameras frame.

I even saw a few with my naked eye but I was so focused on the shadow people that I initially

ignored the white circles.

One evening during a typical overnight stay in the boiler room, I saw a very large white

circle. It appeared the size of a baseball. Because it was so big and was moving toward

the scary area next to the boiler room, I decided to go too. I grabbed the flashlight

from the boiler room and followed the circle down the hallway. Partway up the stairs, my

cramps were replaced with a tickly, butterfly-flutter and an ice-cold chill.

I sat down on the steps and folded my shirt up over my now-crossed arms. I was feeling

light-headed and unable to move. To-date it was one of the most bizarre feelings I have

ever experienced. Then, just as suddenly, I became extremely hot. I started sweating

behind my neck, on my forehead, and my armpits were sticky. The heat increased and a desperate

urge to find some place cool came over me, as if I was suffocating. I knew if I went

back toward the boiler room, I would be even hotter so the only other way to go now was

up.

I slowly continued up the steps then stopped to look down the tunnel. I noticed several

small white circles moving; they looked like bubbles. I then saw several semi-transparent

gray, human-shaped lights but told myself that was impossible. Still distracted by the

noticeably cold air and still sweating, I continued.

Meeting My Shadow Family

Once through the tunnel, I noticed another narrow entrance leading into what appeared

to be a very dark space. By this time, the bubbles disappeared and I was no longer sweating.

As I got closer to this narrow entrance, I started to feel like I was walking into a

private space a place where I wasnt supposed to be. My tummy didnt ache but

I had this weird feeling that there were people in there. I listened, but didnt hear anything.

How could people be in there and why would they want to live in such a creepy place?

I stopped and looked all around me. My mind told me to leave but my heart told me to keep

going. I had never felt so confused or energetically paralyzed. I felt like I was watching myself

from behind.

I knew I could never begin to explain this to my parents. They didnt believe me now,

so I knew that I was all alone in this experience too.

My mind started racing even if I screamed, nobody would hear me. It is the middle of

the night, my parents and the hotel guests are floors above me and asleep, and I am in

some dark cave somewhere. I am doomed if I cant get out. My parents would never think

of looking for me in this area. They had hidden their key when I got into trouble and they

did not know that I knew where it was. I started panicking yet I came too far to not continue.

I just had to know who is in that room.

Meeting My Shadow Family

The room was approximately 10 feet square, and all I saw was old toilet and plumbing

parts on one side and a couple sticks and feathers on the other side which were laid

out in a cross shape. I was so mentally exhausted that all I could do is just sit on the floor,

thankful that nobody was in there. I ended up falling asleep for a short time but was

soon woken by the sound of kids voices. When I could finally focus my eyes, I saw four

kids and a bunch of babies. They were semi-transparent just like the bubbles I had followed in there.

When I tried to stand up, they vanished.

Who are you? said a voice that sounded like mine. I could not believe I asked someone

a question a someone that was not really there. Was my mind playing tricks on

me? Was I dreaming?

Feeling thankful nobody was around to hear me, I shut my eyes again hoping to wake up

from this dream. It wasnt a dream this time I heard various voices, a trailing whisper

Luella, Delores, Nancy, Sara. I jumped up and looked around; nobody was there.

I ran out of the room, through the narrow doorways, down the steps, through the short

hallway, back into the boiler room and up to my bedroom safe and sound. As I lay in

my own bed under the covers, I could hear my heartbeat which sounded like it was still

running and trying to catch up with me.

Not being able to sleep, I sounded-out the names and drew what I saw.

Meeting My Shadow Family

When I hear gurus on television say, Shadow people are evil beings. I personally do

not believe that. In fact, I truly considered the many shadow people my only friends and

eventually my shadow family. Even though we cannot verbally speak, and I cannot see any

facial features, the connection we have developed ever since this first day, is very powerful.

Imagine how strongly you would be connected to your best friend or spouse if you could

read each others minds? There would likely be no more misunderstandings and closer bonds

because we would be communicating without judgement. This would allow everyone to be

in total acceptance of one another. The close relationship I have had with my shadow family

has been completely peaceful and healing.

So, instead of being paralyzed by fear the next time you see a shadow person, try saying

hello. You just may find that you have a shadow family too.

The Best 3D Pen of 2018 - Duration: 4:20.

We doodled and traced for over 24 combined hours with six finalists to determine that

the MYNT3D - Professional Printing 3D Pen is the best 3D pen.

We love it for its responsive, limited-blockage filament flow, clear temperature readout,

and comfortable construction.

So, how do 3D pens work?

3D pens heat a filament, which is typically plastic, until it's liquid and easy to draw with.

Once you've drawn, the plastic hardens again, allowing you to essentially, "draw in the air".

Here's a list of the top three 3D pens:

#1 – MYNT3D - Professional Printing 3D Pen

#2 – 3Doodler - Create 3D Pen

#3 – Sunveza - 3D Printing Pen

So, how did we test?

To start, we traced simple shapes on a piece of paper

to measure the accuracy and usability of each pen.

We also timed how quickly the ink set with each pen.

Next, we tried our hand at free-drawing with the pens.

We scored each pen for ease, accuracy and enjoyment while we drew quickly.

We tested the tracing and welding capabilities of each pen

by using a 3D stencil to draw sunglasses.

Finally, we looked at the overall user experience of the pens, analyzing their user manuals,

tendency to block up, build quality, and overall safety.

Before going over our top picks, you can check out links in the description

below for more detail on each 3D pen.

There's also a link there to the full review on our blog post.

The MYNT3D took first place in our tests because of its quick responsiveness, compact size,

solid construction, and sturdy handling.

It also has a clear OLED temperature readout, which you can adjust to the degree.

This means that you can use different types of filaments in the MYNT3D, because different

filaments have different melting points.

Finally, this pen's clear user instructions, simple operation, and low filament blockage

mean you won't get frustrated using it.

We only found a couple minor downsides with this pen.

For one, the AC adaptor cable that comes with this pen is short

and may require an extension cord to use.

Secondly, the filament that comes boxed with the pen, ABS,

is more toxic than other types of filaments.

This is an easy fix though, since you can buy a different type of filament to use in pen.

We loved the 3Doodler for its anodized aluminum body, which felt more durable

to us than its plastic competitors.

Its instructions are also the most user-friendly, which means your 3D doodles will be off to

a well-informed start – people tend to underestimate the power of a great instruction manual.

The only downside?

The 3Doodler filament, though high quality, is the only brand filament

you can use in this pen.

This is problematic for some users, who report the cost of the branded filament to be as

much as double the generic filament brands.

That being said, the 3Doodler filament is also higher quality in pigmentation and concentration

than the other brands, so it may be worth the extra cost to get the most out of your

artistic endeavors.

The other pens we tested, like the Sunveza and 7tech, are all relatively similar and

ubiquitous in design, which is why they didn't make our top two.

We found that these styles of pens are sold under multiple brand names on Amazon, and

if you're searching for a pen to use as a once-in-awhile hobby,

any of these might serve you well.

All of them have quirks, but some have standout positive features as well,

like the 7tech, which was one of the fastest pens we tested.

But if you're considering adding a 3D pen to your creative arsenal for more frequent

use, we highly recommend the MYNT3D.

It's responsive and easy to use, with a clear temperature readout and great user instructions.

Champion Gymnast to Circus Performer | Athlete to Artist | Mystère by Cirque du Soleil - Duration: 1:34.

I know I can be a good gymnast, but can I be a good performer?

Hi, my name is Jeffrey Wammes.

I competed in 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Being there and being in the atmosphere with all those different athletes from all over the world was just an amazing experience.

There's one thing to get a great score, there's another thing to have a connection with the audience and

do something that's so moving and inspiring that it evokes emotion.

I've been doing gymnastics for 25 years but now it's just like a totally different world.

On one hand, it's, it's great and it's a new experience and on the other

hand it's quite scary as well, like 'Can I do this?' you know!

The process of integrating a new athlete to artist into a show is quite interesting and unique.

Mainly because there's a whole palette of skill set

that they're learning for the first time: makeup, music, artistic abilities.

When I first came here I thought I would be doing like a lot of stuff on the ground

but then I was taken up in the air. I'm not afraid of heights

but when you're up there, trust me,

you know you will feel the jitter.

But now, I'm training for a couple of weeks and it feels good. Feels nice to be

in the air and just feels freeing.

Swimming With Sharks - Duration: 4:08.

this is me and this is Hawaii I'm about to get in the water and go swimming with

sharks this is something I've really wanted to do for a few years now and I

am so stoked to live out my dream right here in Hawaii it's crazy because I

never saw myself doing this I never thought I could overcome my fear of not

only sharks but the ocean itself

Thalassophobia fear of being in large bodies of water fear of the oceans vast

emptiness fear of encountering sea creatures this was a reality this was

the fear and this is my story growing up on the beaches of Florida swimming was

second nature to me sometimes I think I was more confident in the water than on

land but maybe I was too confident one day I was a bit deeper than my usual

swimming territory do you ever get the feeling something's watching you

I certainly felt it that day as I spun around I found myself face to face with

a giant Barracuda I had safely made it out of the water but getting back in was

never the same from then on every time I got into the

ocean I would begin shaking out of fear that something was down there watching

me and planning to attack me this went on for years until the day I decided

enough was enough to fully conquer my fear I needed to understand the ocean

better and spend more time submersing myself in it to realize it wasn't as terrifying as

I thought so rather than going out to study the ocean by spending all my money

on a scuba license and snorkel gear I studied it from the comfort of my own

home it's funny to think that something seemingly insignificant as a video

game could change my whole outlook on life because after months of sitting in

front of a TV screen diving with hundreds of creatures I found myself

longing to be doing it in real life I didn't just lose my fear of the ocean

but I gained a whole new love and respect for the creatures that live

within it and all of a sudden a new me re-entered the world of water swimming

with turtles manatee dolphin and more yet there was still one thing I hadn't

had a chance to swim with a few months ago

GoPro hosted a contest where they were sending select people to go live out

their dreams I had this dream that someday I would be able to swim

alongside sharks naturally with my newfound love

of the ocean I submitted an entry a few weeks later GoPro contacted me I didn't

win the contest but they had chosen me to be a part of an event they were

hosting all based around swimming with sharks before I knew it I was packing my

bags and on the plane to Hawaii and that brings me back to this moment where my

fear has become my dream and my dream has become a reality

with every stroke of my hand pressing forward into the waves I seem to be

pushing my fears further and further into the distant ocean behind me and

though my fear was big my curiosity and newfound love for the ocean was much

bigger and now I know love truly can't overcome any fear

all my thanks goes to GoPro but all the glory goes to God who truly has taken me

deeper than my feet could ever wander on their own.

BREAKING News Out Of Arizona.

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK – Authorities are reporting that three people were killed

and four others are in critical condition after a tourist helicopter crashed in an "extremely

remote area" of the Grand Canyon on Sunday.

Hualapai Nation Police Chief Francis Bradley said six passengers and a pilot were on board

the Papillion helicopter when it crashed around 5:20 p.m.

The four survivors of the crash, who were "level 1 trauma patients," were airlifted

to a hospital in Las Vegas, according to Bradley.

UMC Hospital in Las Vegas told FOX10 the four people in the Grand Canyon chopper crash are

in critical condition.

"First responders had to be flown in and walk to the crash site," Chief Bradley told

the AP.

"Quartermaster Canyon is an extremely remote area.

We had to call in specially trained crews — people with night-vision goggles."

"UPDATE: Four patients from the Grand Canyon helicopter crash are in critical condition

this morning, according to UMC Las Vegas."

Fox News reports that the police chief said rescue crews were hampered by high winds and

darkness Saturday night along with rugged terrain, but now officials are in the "the

recovery and investigation mode."

The identities and nationalities of the dead and injured weren't immediately released

by authorities.

"This morning, our hearts and our prayers are with the victims of this very tragic crash

in the Grand Canyon, as well as all the first responders and medics involved in critical

rescue efforts," Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey tweeted early Sunday.

Winds in the area picked up in the Saturday afternoon with gusts up to 45 mph, but the

cause of the crash is not immediately known.

The National Transportation Safety Board said on Twitter it was investigating the crash

3 miles east of Grand Canyon West Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration also will be investigating the crash of the Eurocopter

EC130, spokesman Allen Kenitzer said.

Atlanta Hawks Fans Yell Savage Chant to Cavs: 'LeBron Will Leave You' - Duration: 1:18.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Atlanta Hawks fans are ruthless.

During last night's game, the Hawks crowd taunted the Cleveland Cavaliers by chanting

"LeBron will leave you" and "LeBron will trade you."

Of course, the taunts come after Cleveland basically became a new team at the trade deadline.

The Cavaliers gave Iman Shumpert to the Sacramento Kings; Jae Crowder and Derrick Rose to the

Jazz; Dwyane Wade back to the Miami Heat; and Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye to the

Los Angeles Lakers.

In exchange, they got George Hill, Larry Nance Jr., Jordan Clarkson, and Rodney Hood on their

squad.

Tristan Thompson and Jeff Green managed to stick around, though, and Atlanta made sure

to give them crap for it.

After the game, LeBron explained the decision process behind all the trades.

"It's not about what the other guys didn't bring or what these guys bring.

We're all professionals, and we were happy with the guys that we had, and we're going

to [be] happy with the guys that we have now.

That's the way the league is, it's a business.

There's no shade on anybody."

The Cavaliers are spending February trying to get back on track after crawling their

way out of the Finals conversation last month.

At the very least, they're better than Atlanta: The Cavaliers handily beat the Hawks, 123-107.
