What The 3LW Members Are Up To Now - Duration: 6:08.
Even if your recollection of R&B girl groups is foggy, as soon as you hear the first guitar
riff of 3LW's hit "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)," you might still find yourself able to sing
along.
But you might be less aware of what original group members Adrienne Bailon, Naturi Naughton
and Kiely Williams have been up to since the band was active in the early 2000s.
Food fight
3LW's original lineup changed in 2002 after Naturi Naughton was allegedly forced out of
the group.
Naughton told MTV News that 3LW's management led to growing tensions that caused the split,
describing a scene that could have been right out of a high school movie: a food fight.
The band members had picked up dinner when, during a heated argument, member Kiely Williams
threw a full KFC meal at her — which Naughton described on Wendy Williams' radio show.
"And all I know is, out of the blue, Kiely just is like, 'Eff you.'
And then throws the plate dead in my face, in my eye.
My eye was watering."
"Yeah, well, you had mashed potatoes and gravy!"
That was the moment she officially decided to leave 3LW.
The acting bug
After Naughton's departure, 3LW was still together when original band members Adrienne
Bailon and Kiely Williams joined the four-person girl group the Cheetah Girls, joining Raven-Symone
and Sabrina Bryan.
The group was formed for a 2003 Disney Channel original movie of the same name, which featured
original music performed by the cast.
The film, an upbeat tale about four talented friends forging their own path as a girl group,
took on a life of its own, much to the surprise of the cast.
"i did not think The Cheetah Girls was gonna be a hit."
Even today, she's too embarrassed to let her husband watch it.
"Once I finished the film, I never wanted guys to watch it.
Until this day, I don't want Israel to watch it."
But Bailon and Williams weren't the only members of 3LW to get into acting.
Naughton also made waves with her portrayal of rapper Lil' Kim in Notorious, the 2009
bio-pic about the Notorious B.I.G.
Lil' Kim, however, was reportedly not a fan of Naughton's performance.
"I was a first-time actress in a film, this was the beginning of my career, I'm a little
black girl from Jersey… and um, you know, I wish her nothing but the best."
Premium cable viewers can watch Naughton on Starz in the 50 Cent-produced show Power,
where she plays Tasha, the wife of a drug dealer who dreams of going legit.
As of early 2018, Power has aired four seasons and has been renewed for a fifth.
In 2018, Naughton won an NAACP Image Award for her performance.
A-list feuds
After dating Rob Kardashian, Bailon told Latina magazine,
"To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and to my career.
I probably realized that too late… it would've affected my decision to appear on the show."
While Kim Kardashian never mentioned Bailon by name, she did respond with a series of
tweets, writing:
"Funny how she says being with a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has
this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian,"
"So sad when people try to kick my brother when he is down #FamilyForever."
The Real
These days, Adrienne Bailon can be found on TV as one of the co-hosts of the syndicated
talk show The Real.
"So i wear this watch here, but I can't tell time."
Bailon and co-stars Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Jeannie Mai discuss topics including current
events, beauty, style, and love.
If you're in LA, you can even snag a ticket to a live taping.
Wedding Bells
After all that Kardashian drama, Bailon married her longtime boyfriend Israel Houghton in
November 2016.
"My favorite human being on the planet to ever ever ever exist, the love of my life,
my best friend, my fiance, Mister Israel Houghton."
People reported that Bailon and the gospel singer wed in Paris at the Hotel Plaza Athénée,
with approximately 70 guests, including Bailon's co-hosts from The Real.
Bailon, who now often uses the last name Houghton, shared a one-year anniversary photo on Instagram
of the two dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Babies on Board
While Kiely Williams isn't on TV at the moment, she did recently announce some big news in
her personal life: she's pregnant! Williams shared an Instagram photo in October 2017
of a pair of tiny ballet shoes, saying,
"Oh, baby!
It's a girl!
Our tiny dancer will make her debut March 2018!"
The father is Williams' husband, Brandon "BJ" Cox, who she married in 2016.
In July 2017, Naturi Naughton gave birth to her first child, also a girl.
People reported the father as her longtime boyfriend Ben.
The pair got ready for the birth of their child with an "Afro-centric" baby shower that
Naughton said included, quote, "tribal decor with a village vibe."
While Naughton has yet to share any photos of her daughter on Instagram, she shared plenty
of pics of her baby bump in the months leading up to the birth.
Making Amends
Many years after the food fight to end all food fights, Naughton and Bailon made up.
Naughton appeared on The Real, where she and Bailon revealed that they had spoken privately
years earlier at an Us Weekly party.
While Bailon never actually threw food at Naughton, she was one of the original members
who stayed in 3LW after Naughton was pushed out.
"There was a lot that went on in that time that now looking back is just like, you were
so young and it was crazy and that I genuinely from the bottom of my heart never meant any
harm towards you."
Naughton took the opportunity to talk about the importance of young women in the entertainment
industry coming together.
"And I appreciate your apology 'cuz it's just humility, and at the end of the day we have
to love and support each other."

YouTube Monetization Deadline Day Is Here: What Happens Next? - Duration: 5:12.
It's the 20th February and it's the YouTube
monetization deadline. And you've not met
it. What does that mean for your channel?
Hello folks welcome back to vidIQ, my
name is Rob. If this is your first time
here we are the youtube tool and
channel that aims to help you get more
views in less time. Our tool is of course
free to download, a link is in the
description and while you're at it
subscribe to our channel and click on
the notification bell to make sure you
don't miss any of our content. Let's kick
this video off with a question. If you
haven't met the YouTube Partner Program
as of today how are you feeling about it
all? I'm going read those comments and
try and give you some advice. To put all
this into context the YouTube Partner
Program changed at the beginning of
January. New requirements are but if you
don't have 1,000 subscribers and 4,000
hours of watch time your content won't
be eligible for monetization. We've got
loads of videos on the subject so check
them out if you want to know more
information about it. February
20th was a kind of grace period for any
video creators that were currently
monetized but then we're going to get
removed from monetization because of
these new requirements and here we are.
If you are affected by these changes you
should have received an email by YouTube
now stating exactly what's going to
happen. If you want to know when you're
going to reach the new requirements
again we of course do have a free tool
at vidIQ which shows you the progress
to four thousand hours of watch time and
1000 subscribers through our
real-time stats bar so if you don't have
vidIQ now's a great opportunity to
download it. It is free for this
particular tool. As well as losing
monetization on your channel there has
been a lot of concern about what other
tools you might lose from YouTube
such as live streaming, video cards,
custom URLs. We've already done a very
quick video on this particular topic so
if you want to check that out right now
click here. If you have been
earning revenue from monetization here
are some of the basics. Up until now you
will have been earning revenue into your
adsense account. Adsense accounts usually
payout at $100 month by month but for a
lot of smaller YouTube creators such
as yourself chances are you've
probably not hit that threshold yet so
your money, maybe 40 60 80 dollars, is
currently stuck in that Adsense account
and it's gonna get stuck there for a
while longer if you're no longer monetised.
Now in recent weeks I've seen a lot
of youtubers really worried about this
money being stuck in their adsense
account then maybe YouTube's going to
claw it back because you personally
can't get hold of it.
That's not the case. If you do want to
get access to this money right now what
you can do is close your adsense account
and Adsense will send out a check to you.
But I really recommend against doing
that. You're closing the adsense account
which gives you all sorts of
opportunities and revenue in the future
so are you really gonna aim for a very
short term gain and miss out on a long
term lucrative opportunity if you do
start to become successful with your
YouTube channel in the future. If you're
not earning your revenue through Adsense
and it comes through a multi-channel
networks such as fullscreen or scale
labs then obviously you'll need to
contact your respective multi-channel
network for more information. Now to all
of you small channel video creators
who saw these requirements in January
and just thought that's not going to affect
me this is just another challenge and
I'm going to strive towards it and hit
those goal and you have done before the
deadline, massive thumbs up, big
congratulations. You all deserve a big
shout out so make sure to post those
success stories in the comments below
and I'll be reading them and definitely
posting them on Twitter well done to you
guys and girls. Now if you haven't hit
those targets just yet here's some help
from us here at vidIQ. If you want to
learn how to get 1000 subscribers we've
got a 10 tips video here and if you want
to learn how to get to 4,000 hours of
watch time we've got another 10 tips
video here check them both out. Hopefully
they'll help you on your way. To
paraphrase many of the things we've
talked about here on vidIQ recently, the
goal of monetization is about this big
in the grand scheme of things. The
opportunity to spread a message you're
passionate about to a global audience
and impact lives is infinite. Let's put
this a different away: why are you watching
this video right now? Is it because we
think you're going to give us some money
for vidIQ or is it because you think
you can trust us to give you some
valuable information about growing your
channel whether it costs any money or not?
I'll let you decide that one. And of
course if you're still not happy with
the way YouTube monetize.
You have so many other ways to monetize
your content that you're in so much more
control of and have potential to earn
a lot more from. For example you have
affiliate links you have patreon or
crowdsourcing or donation platforms, you
can have paid sponsorship of your
channel, brand deals, even merchandising.
And as always you have the option to
choose an entirely different video
platform where you think you've got more
opportunity to monetize your content. So
it's a 2oth February the deadline is here
what happens next? Is this the end of
your YouTube story or just another
chapter on that road to success. If it's
the latter: enjoy the rest of your video
making day see you again soon.

Dumb Things Everyone Ignores In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 - Duration: 6:24.
The long-awaited sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy revisited everything fans loved about
the first film, while moving the story forward in a wild and imaginative way — and critics
and audiences alike agree that it was one of Marvel's most fun movies to date.
And yet, even in an altogether terrific followup, there are still some weird plot holes, quirky
easter eggs, and continuity questions that left us scratching our heads while the end
credits rolled.
Yeah, it's all small potatoes compared to the movie's winning qualities, but here are
all the dumb things from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 that left us feeling a little...
unsettled.
Star Lord's tracking device
From his outfit to his entertainment system, Star-Lord is all about the eighties — including
when it comes to the tech he whips out in this opening scene.
This vintage Mattel football video game has been rewired to work as a tracking device,
but where did it come from?
There are only two options: one, that Quill stumbled upon it during his travels around
the galaxy, which would be a weird coincidence to say the least.
Or two, maybe he had it on him when he was kidnapped from the earth as a kid — but
unlike his Walkman, he wasn't too sentimental about this toy to repurpose it into a useful
piece of tech.
Why are the Guardians doing the Sovereigns' dirty work?
This big action set piece pitting the Guardians against a space monster known as an Abelisk
was such an amazing scene, you can almost ignore the obvious question: why were the
Guardians there in the first place?
The Sovereign leader offers a reason —
"We could not risk the lives of our own Sovereign citizens."
— but they wouldn't have to; as we find out shortly, they own an entire fleet of remote-controlled
ships that seem perfectly equipped for a job like this.
What prompted them to punt this job to a shady group of misfits like the Guardians?
We may never know.
Ego's relationship with Mantis
Director James Gunn wanted his sequel to include some characters from the comics that didn't
make the cut the first time around, and Mantis, who has a long and storied history with the
Guardians, was an obvious choice.
But to fit her in, Gunn had to tweak her story — so in the movie, she's basically an indentured
adopted daughter to Ego, using her empathic powers to help him sleep at night.
Wait, what?
Ego is an ancient, powerful celestial being — and he needs an empath to sleep at night?
How did he sleep in the thousands and thousands of years before Mantis came along?
And why would he let her, the only person who knew his true intentions, hang out unchaperoned
with the Guardians where she could spill the beans at any time?
Well, whatever.
Maybe Ego can't just manifest a supply of Ambien the way he manifested an entire planet,
and maybe his god-like status made him a little overconfident about his nefarious plan.
But most importantly, maybe we're so psyched to have Mantis in this movie that her backstory
doesn't really need to hold up to scrutiny.
Who's your Hasselhoff?
In this film, we learn that Quill keeps a pic of Knight Rider-era David Hasselhoff in
his pocket, because as a fatherless kid, he used to tell people the Hoff was his real
dad — a subplot that leads to this crowd-pleasing cameo from Hasselhoff as one of Ego's various
avatars.
There's just one problem: this Hoff is a senior citizen, whereas Quill's aspirational dad
was the strapping young Hoff of the 1980s.
In the context of the story, and for maximum emotional impact on Quill, Ego should have
appeared as that version of Hasselhoff.
But if that was going to make the difference between working with the Hoff directly versus
recreating his younger self using CGI, it's not hard to see why the filmmakers preferred
the real thing.
The truth about Quill's mom
Ego is still making a hard pitch for Quill to join him when he also spills a horrifying
secret: he's the one who gave Quill's mom cancer, a fact he reveals to his son while
also trying to woo him over to the dark side.
But for some strange reason, learning that Ego is responsible for the worst trauma of
his life doesn't make Quill feel like teaming up with him — an outcome so predictable
that any celestial being worth his salt should've seen it coming.
And equally inexplicable is why Ego bothered to off Quill's mother at all.
What gives, dude?
"I returned to earth to see her three times.
And I knew, if I returned a fourth, I'd never leave."
That's his story, but we don't buy it.
Everything we know about Ego suggests he's a raging sociopath who doesn't care about
anyone — and since he planned all along to kidnap Quill from earth, taking mom out
of the equation seems pointless.
Plus, Ego has been alive for millions of years, so what's the big rush?
Why not just be happy for 40 or 50 years and then complete the masterplan once she dies
of old age or something?
Of course, this is still an important moment in terms of establishing Ego as a cut-and-dried
bad guy and giving Quill a good reason to want to destroy him, but it's one of a handful
that doesn't make narrative sense.
No continuity for old Marvel
The timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has always been kind of fuzzy, but Guardians
of the Galaxy Volume 2 represents a real missed opportunity for MCU continuity.
Here's the deal: Ego's attempt to take control of the earth occurs around the same time as
films like Captain America: Civil War and the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Surely the MCU's top crimefighters would have noticed the giant tide of alien goo engulfing
half of Missouri — and a crossover cameo in either direction would have really helped
to tie this universe together.
Sadly, Ego's incursion on earth never earned so much as a nod in these other Marvel properties,
and in Guardians 2, no other MCU characters ever showed up to investigate the goo situation.
The invincible Milano
We all know that Star-Lord has a very cool ship.
The Milano is fast, slick, comes loaded with a tape deck for all your soundtrack needs,
and makes a hell of a mobile man-cave.
"If I had a blacklight, this place would look like a Jackson Pollock painting."
But is the Milano literally indestructible?
The ship takes a pounding during this battle with the Sovereign's forces, in which dozens
and dozens of ships fire point blank on the Guardians.
Yet Star-Lord's ship weathers all that damage, when other ships have gone down with just
a shot or two.
How does the Milano survive this veritable onslaught of laser fire while still maintaining
enough integrity to stumble toward a crash landing?
In this case, the answer is simple: plot armor — the same reason why Stormtroopers have
such terrible aim and James Bond can somehow win a fistfight with a henchman twice his
size.
If one direct hit could knock the hero's ship out of the sky, there would be no movie.

Is It Safe To Get Your DNA Tested? - Duration: 3:26.
Hi, this is Kate from MinuteEarth.
Recently, a couple of us got our DNA tested.
We learned lots of stuff about ourselves from the analysis, but adding our genetic data
to all the other personal information currently
living on the world's servers also made us wonder: Is that data safe?
It turns out that commercial genetic testing companies only analyze .02% of your DNA, which
means that even if someone got a hold of your genetic data, they couldn't actually clone
you.
However, that tiny subset is a highlight reel of the genes that vary from one person to
the next - so someone with access to that subset - and the right knowledge and tools
- could not only recreate most of your genetic report, but also figure out roughly what your
face looks like.
And by comparing certain sections of your code with genetic data from people who have
participated in open-source projects, they could probably even figure out who some of
your relatives are, and perhaps even triangulate from there to put a name to your face.
Still, according the the independent expert we talked to for this video, genetic testing
companies take data security pretty seriously, so the likelihood of a server hack is pretty
low.
However, ultimately, your unique string of genetic letters are only as secure as the
string of letters you use to access them.
If you're like the 80% of people who use the same username and password over and over again,
hackers would just need to break in to a less secure site and steal your credentials to
gain full access to your genetic data.
That data could someday be sold on the black market to medical fraudsters.
And it would probably also be valuable on the regular market: Using DNA found at crime
scenes, law enforcement officials have already accessed genetic databases to search for suspects
(and their relatives).
Advertisers - who already buy lists of people with certain medical conditions to serve targeted
ads – could use genetic information to target people in even creepier ways.
Employers, who already scan prospective employees' Facebook feeds for signs of trouble, might
one day try to take a peek at applicants' DNA, too.
And of course, insurance companies could profit by denying coverage to people with certain
illness-linked genes.
The good news is that – right now at least – there are laws in some places that prohibit
employers and health insurance companies from gene-based discrimination.
And most genetic data companies explicitly promise not to hand over any personal genetic
data to anyone except authorities with a court order.
What's more, if you ask them to, testing companies will trash your spit sample and your data.
But whether you decide to get your DNA tested or not, putting your personal information
out there will probably never be totally risk-free, so the best thing you can do to keep your
unique string of letters private is to make each of those other strings of letters – and
numbers, and special characters – unique, too.
This video was sponsored by Dashlane, a password manager that generates and stores secure passwords
for your accounts.
It's no coincidence that a password manager is sponsoring this video – we actually reached
out to Dashlane when we realized just how important password security is to this question
of safeguarding our genetic data.

account credentials with one another.
