Waching daily Feb 21 2018

You don't get yourself upset, Melek. God always has a plan.

We're leaving this house, but eventually we'll find a roof to stay under.

It is, for sure.

My house was demolished...

You took me to your home, but now you'll end up homeless.

Why would we end up homeless?

Isn't there any house for rent? We'll find a place eventually.

For sure?

We will, with the help of God. Don't get any more upset.

Besides, your house was demolished. But now you found sis Tülays!

Would you ever have thought that?

Nope.

Everything happens for a reason then.

This is our trial, let's think it this way.

When a door is shut, another one opens.

You're right.

Let's have the breakfast.

PICKTHEINK: Alveno (Full interview) - Duration: 3:10.

So I got into tattooing just you know I was a graffiti artist for a long time, always

had an affinity for art I guess tattooing was kind of always in the back

of my head and yeah it just kind of happened organically I had a friend who

brought over some tattoo machines to me and I kind of just started. You got to

work hard at anything if you're going to be good at it again I'm a younger

tattooer and I have a long way to go so I'm always learning and always working I

mean definitely growing up doing artwork and as graffiti artist and already

being kind of an artist visually I think that definitely helps like to move me

forward at a good pace.

My name is Alveno Tattoo and I work at

Matchbox Tattoo in Toronto. I'm from Montreal grew up and spent some time in Ottawa as well

and then kind of Torontonian over the past three years.

There's crazy stories that go along with working in this business. It's hard to narrow that down

in a short time and so many different crazy experiences that I've you know been in

and around working in a shop I worked at a place in Toronto prior to where I am

now at matchbox and the area I was in before this was a really kind of shoddy

neighborhood and so there was constant you know constant craziness happening

just outside the doors of the parlor I was at, there was always something crazy

going on on the corner near us and a lot of that came into the shop. My style

of tattooing is kind of a little bit all over the map but I definitely do

traditional some fine line contemporary I do a lot of black and gray some

realism some geometric type work and then as well some script works so this

script kind of plays back to my graffiti roots and then yeah that's definitely

kind of the direction I'm moving in but again because I'm a younger tattooer

I've always been open to whatever someone brings me and just trying to put

my own spin on it. So that is my favorite tattoo personally

that I have because it represents my time that I spent in Montreal and if you

look closely at the eyes within the sugar skull it's actually the Montreal city

sign so I hold that dearly to my heart I think everybody has their own reason I

think it's really specific to each person it's hard to narrow that down per

se to what you know a general statement of why everyone gets tattoos but I think

you know I know for myself growing up and getting tattoos I definitely it was

just something we did it was something like we were into artwork we were to

skateboarding graffiti so tattoos kind of made sense it just was kind of part

of that culture and a part of that like you know let's let's do something

different I was kind of like part of that world and it was an expression it

was a way of like making ourselves like feel they looked a little different than

like the next person.

Let's Talk About Net Neutrality - Duration: 2:09.

You can't do this, you can't take away the wifi!

Remember when we were all freaking out about Net Neutrality?

They ask you how you are and you just have to say that you're fine when you're not really fine.

About the FCC's decision to repeal would mean that internet service providers would charge

extra for certain websites and throdle our service.

Yeah it felt like the world was ending.

Here's the thing though, what if it was actually a blessing in disguise?

What did you say?

See the decision got a lot of people mad.

And looking for other ways to get their internet.

Ways like public broadband.

Cities across the country are now talking about setting up their own internet service

for their communities.

Basically it would be considered just another utility like electricity or gas.

Because that's what the internet is at this point.

An essential part of our lives.

It's almost not an option to not have it, and theres no reason why it needs to cost

an arm and a leg.

I refuse to pay for the wiffy!

It's wifi.

So considering that three out of four americans currently only have one ISP in their area,

public broadband could offer real competition to these private companies.

And in theory, this could drive prices down.

Just look at Chattanooga, Tennessee, it's the first city in the US to offer 10-gigabit-per-second

fiber internet service to all its residents and businesses.

When it started advertising it's service as the fastest in Chattanooga, Comcast hit them

with cease and desist letters.

So what did the city do?

They just improved their service making it way faster then the company could compete with.

And all of this is cheap too.

Just 70 bucks for internet speed that's 50 times the average for homes in the U.S.

And obviously ISP's are furious. Which is why they've lobbied to pass laws in cities across

20 states that complicate or ban local government from offering their own broadband service.

In Fort Collins, Colorado, a group backed by private ISPs spent almost $1 million to

block the city from passing municipal broadband.

But thanks to grassroots support, the measure passed. and now Comcast could lose as much

as $23 million a year.

And if public broadband really takes off it might even open up the playing field for new

providers who could step up and create even more competition because let's be real these

companies should be supporting us not taking advantage of us.

So could the death of net neutrality actually be a good thing?

For UPROXX, I'm Frankie Greek.

Can the UK Save Hong Kong? - Duration: 8:58.

On this episode of China Uncensored,

it's time for the UK to finally do something

about Hong Kong!

Well, first: tea time.

But then they'll definitely

do something about Hong Kong.

Hi, welcome back to China Uncensored,

I'm your host Chris Chappell.

In October, British citizen

and human rights advocate Benedict Rogers

tried to visit Hong Kong—

where he had lived from 1997 to 2002.

But this time when he landed at the airport,

Hong Kong immigration denied him entry.

My favorite Chinese state-run media,

The Global Times, called Benedict Rogers

"a threat to China's sovereignty, safety and interests."

I wish they'd say that about me.

Anyway, Benedict Rogers has now set up

an organization called Hong Kong Watch

to monitor the Chinese Communist Party's

encroachment on Hong Kong's freedoms

and rule of law.

Under a treaty with Great Britain

called the Joint Declaration,

Hong Kong is supposed to be

independently governed until the year 2047.

But according to Mr. Rogers,

that's not what's happening.

So I traveled to Washington DC

to have a chat with him about

the future of Hong Kong and China.

Benedict, thank-you for joining us

in Washington DC.

I'm very happy the US government

let you into the country.

I hear that doesn't always happen for you

in every country you visit.

That's right.

A few governments for reasons

I can't begin to imagine

have not let me into their countries.

I know, what you're talking about.

In October 11, 2017,

you were denied entry into Hong Kong.

Tell us a little bit about that.

About three days before I was due

to fly to Hong Kong from Bangkok

I received a phone call from a person in Britain.

A British person who I know well who's a friend,

who's sympathetic on these issues.

He had received a phone call

from the Chinese embassy telling him

that they had become aware of

my intended visit to Hong Kong,

and asking him to ask me not to go.

There was a to and fro of messages.

I took advice on what to do.

The advice from everyone I spoke to

was I should go ahead,

because essentially this was an attempt

to intimidate me into not going.

Did you not care at all about

the feelings of the Chinese people?

The Communist Party asked you not to go.

I care very much about the feelings

of the Chinese people.

I don't care so much about the feelings

of the Chinese Communist Party,

and the two are very different.

It was Chinese people that I was

seeking advice from who said,

"We want you to come.

We think probably this is an attempt

to intimidate you, and it's bluff.

Were you surprised when you got to Hong Kong

and they actually stopped you?

I was surprised.

Obviously I knew it was a possibility

from these warnings.

But I had hoped that in the end,

Hong Kong's autonomy would be intact.

Clearly it wasn't.

It seems like it really backfired on them,

because your story made international headlines.

Even Hong Kong's chief executive, Carrie Lam,

further dug a hole for herself by saying

at this point they would even consider banning

Hong Kong's former governor, Chris Patten.

That's right.

What was extraordinary was,

I think in news terms a story like this,

had it just been the denial of entry

to a British human rights activist,

serious enough.

But that story probably would have run

for a day or two and then the news cycle

would have moved on to other things.

But Carrie Lam kept the story going.

Did you send her a thank-you card, by the way?

I have written to her.

Not exactly along those lines…

Hong Kong and China are supposed to

have this One Country Two Systems policy

where Hong Kong gets to keep its own freedoms

and rule of law.

Clearly that hasn't been going so well.

How long do you think until it will just be

a "One Country, One System"?

Well I think it's rapidly heading in that direction…

"How long will it be?",

I think part of the answer is it depends on

the response of the international community,

and particularly my own country, Britain.

If Britain and the international community

take a stand for the principles set out

in a treaty actually between Britain and China,

the Joint Declaration,

then maybe we can hold off the day

when it just becomes another Chinese city.

But if the international community doesn't act,

then that day will come sooner rather than later.

You're British?

I couldn't tell.

My accent doesn't give it away.

A few weeks ago,

British Prime Minister, Theresa May,

made a trip to China.

Before the trip she said she would bring up

human rights issues in Hong Kong.

So, on a scale of 1 to 10,

how did she do?

I would say probably about four...

Downing Street did say before she went to China

or when she was on her way

that she would raise these issues.

Of course, she only raised them privately...

It seems there's a problem

that when these issues are kept private,

it becomes sort of a propaganda boon

for the Communist Party...

It sort of sets a precedent to other people,

do you think?

Other politicians and even businesses,

that it's best to stay quiet if

the leaders of countries are not doing this.

It does set that precedent,

which I think is very dangerous.

I think that, of course there's also the precedent

of corporations giving in to China,

or even apologizing to China.

Mercedes Benz and Marriott.

Alright.

Name 20 more examples.

Yes, exactly.

Yes, I very strongly favor having these

private discussions where you go into more detail,

but making public statements as well.

I think, firstly

I think China needs to be confronted publicly.

But secondly,

I think for our own domestic audience at home,

that provides a level of accountability.

Do you think there is any meaningful change

the British government can make in Hong Kong?

Yes.

I think there definitely is.

Britain has both not only moral responsibilities,

but a legal responsibility under the

Sino-British Joint Declaration, which is a -

Which they have called, I forget their exact term,

but they called it some archaic historical document

that has no relevance.

That's right.

Yes, the Chinese said that.

But I mean, that's wrong.

It's a living treaty.

It's valid for the first 50 years after the handover.

It's lodged at the United Nations.

I think the challenge for the international community is,

if China takes that view over one particular treaty,

what does it mean for all its other treaty obligations?

Tell us a little bit more about your organization,

Hong Kong Watch…

Essentially a group of us came together in London,

very concerned about the shockingly low level

of awareness in our own parliament,

and among our own public,

about what's happening to Hong Kong.

We felt there was a need for an advocacy organization

to speak out for Hong Kong...

We exist to speak out.

To carry out research into the

erosion of freedoms in Hong Kong,

and to provide a voice to inform and educate

and advocate for Hong Kong.

Well considering you're doing this,

do you think you'll ever get back into Hong Kong?

I hope so.

I think it would be a positive sign if that happens.

But there have been three attempts

to get the Hong Kong government

to give an answer to this question.

The British government minister, Mark Field,

wrote to Carrie Lam.

The lawyer Albert Ho

wrote to the director of immigration.

Then I personally wrote to Carrie Lam.

On all three occasions

the response is ambiguous at best.

I guess more importantly,

do you think I even can go back to Hong Kong.

Well, that's a good question.

Having interviewed me you really might not be.

You and the master criminal Joshua Wong.

Exactly.

Well if we ever are able to go back to Hong Kong

at the same time,

I know a great place that serves basically

macaroni and cheese with a slice of pig cheek.

Oh.

It's out of this world.

That sounds excellent.

Well thank-you very much for joining us today.

Best of luck with Hong Kong Watch.

Thank-you very much.

What did you think of Mr. Rogers coming to visit our neighborhood?

Leave your comments below!

And who would you like to see us interview next?

Once again, I'm your host Chris Chappell.

See you next time!

You know, we interview all kind of important people.

Check out our website, ChinaUncensored.tv,

where you can see our interviews

with government officials,

human rights activists,

and of course,

super criminal Joshua Wong.

"We're officially back to our age of six!" - Elif Episode 673 | S.4 E. - Duration: 4:24.

We're officially back to our age of six!

But now you're the naughty one, and I'm covering it up for you!

I really didn't see you, I was turning with the vase,

Why did you come here by the way? Mom wasn't in the living room?

I came in when I saw you.

Then, let's, well...

let's get this place together, sis Yildiz will be pissed off!

If she sees this,

she'll roar at us, "you made a mess here!"

I can't believe you, I really can't!

Why do we get so silly when we're together?

Oh my God!

This is too much.

"Don't" just please!

What's up, did you find a place... I was going...

to ask for that...

Oh, was that the best place you could put these at?

You could've put these at the back of the door, so we couldn't see it at all.

Don't exaggerate, Parla.

It's OK in here.

It's not. Here.

Please, are you going to break my heart?

Look, it'll look better there.

Let's put it there, no problem.

Oh, what problem? I just asked.

"Please", I mean, OK?

Besides, do I look like someone who makes trouble out of nowhere?

Alright.

Here...

Alright?

Very good!

But...

But what?

The vase...

It doesn't seem to be the best fit for the flowers.

I mean... the vase is speaking one language,

the flowers have another.

I wish you've picked another vase.

What's wrong with this one?

I guess you don't listen to me at all.

I'm saying the flowers are wasted with this vase.

I'm saying they have different styles.

Style?

Can you tell us what "style" are they, Parla?

Alright, alright, didn't say a thing.

Ladies, you figure this out by yourselves, because I need to change my clothes...

and get to the office.

See ya!

Then, dear, Parla, you pick the vase,

because you're the one who makes the perfect choice.

See you. Take it easy!

Take it easy, huh!

What do you know about these things?

You've been to United Kingdom, so now you think you're something?

Clearly you forgot that you were a maid's daughter.

200th Episode Special - A Day in my Life - Duration: 13:38.

Hello and Welcome to this special episode of The 8-Bit Guy.

Since this is my 200th episode on this channel, along with the fact that this month represents

one year of doing this full time as my full-time job.

I thought I would give you a little special episode, kind of showing what my life is like

doing this kind of work.

I decided to film myself doing my normal activities on a relatively normal day a few weeks ago,

and so here it is.

All right, so it is 8 o'clock in the morning and I come in here first thing and I sit down

at my computer.

Now, I've got to apologize for my voice.

I've got a lot of allergy problems going on this morning.

It's not uncommon in the morning, but I don't do much filming in the morning so

it's usually cleared up by the afternoon when I do filming.

But anyway, so the first thing I do is I come in here and I look at my emails.

And boy do I have a lot of them.

I get a lot of emails, probably at least a hundred every morning that I have to respond

to.

And they're not just emails.

Some of them are youtube messages, facebook messages, and then a lot of them are direct

emails.

And I'm just looking right now.

I wish I could show you my inbox, but I don't want to invade anyone's privacy so again,

there's a lot of personal names and information there.

So, I'm just going to tell you about some of the emails that I've got.

Just looking though here, I've got at least 10 people telling me about The64 computer.

It's like, Hey David, are you aware of this product, it's called The64 computer, yada,

yada yah here's the website link, whatever.

I've got about 10 people now and that's probably.

I've probably gotten about 500 emails over the last 6 months about that product.

So yes, to everybody who's watching, thank you, I am well aware of The64 product.

In fact, I'm supposed to be getting sent one from the company that's making it but

I haven't seen it yet.

I've got probably another 5 people here telling me about the, I don't know how to

pronounce this, sous vide sous vide cooker, which people want me to use for retrobriting.

So, yes, that's probably the 300th email I've had about that.

So, thank you, I'm well aware of this product as well.

I probably have at least 10 people sending me links to youtube videos saying, "Hey

David, check out this video here."

And there's a youtube link.

Now, each of these videos that people want me to watch are probably anywhere from 10

to 30 minutes long and there's 10 people at least wanting me to watch a video.

And this is very normal.

If you do the math, and you multiply the number of minutes by the number of people, I'd

be sitting here watching videos all day long just to watch all of the videos that people

want me to watch.

And quite frankly, I just don't have the time.

So, if you send me a request to watch a youtube video, there's a pretty good chance I'm

not going to watch it.

If there is something you write in the text that really grabs my interest, I might click

on it, but typically, of the 10 youtube videos people send me every day I might watch one.

I just.

Don't take it personally, but I just simply don't have the time.

There's at least 5 people here wanting me to do repairs for them.

And whether its.

This person here wants me to repair their Commodore 64.

This person has got an Apple of some kind, they want me to repair.

whatever.

But, bottom line is no.

I just don't have time to do repairs for other people.

Some of these people are offering to pay, and some of these people are just thinking

that I'll do it out of the goodness of my heart.

Either way around it doesn't really matter whether you're offering to pay or not, I

simply don't have the time to do it.

If I did all of the repair requests that I got, I would literally be doing repairs all

day long.

That's all.

I'd never have any time to produce any videos or work on my game, or any of the stuff that

I do.

I do, however, get a lot of requests from people who want something from me.

And, if it is something reasonable, I try to be accommodating.

So, for example, somebody has recently asked me to scan them a manual to a product that

I've shown that I have the manual to.

And they can't find the manual anywhere by googling it.

And I looked, and I couldn't find it either online, so I'm going scan that for them

later.

That will probably take me 20 or 30 minutes.

But, I feel like I'm kind of doing a service because if that manual gets, you know, put

online somewhere, then maybe the next person that needs it will have it.

I've also been asked to make copies of EPROMS and stuff like that when people see I have

a particular product.

I can't accommodate those because I don't have anyway to really read them at the moment.

But there are a lot of things I try to do if people need some help with something, if

it is something that I can do and it makes sense to ask me to do it.

All right, so I also need to package up any orders that came in over night from my website.

So, I've already got a little pile started here already.

Now, I don't normally get this much in one day.

This is a little bit of an unusual amount, but the reason I've got this much is because

I released a video last night.

And for some reason that always jogs people's memories that "oh yeah, I need to go buy

this thing from the 8-bit Guy."

So, whenever I release a video, I tend to have a little bit of a surge of packages the

next morning.

These are actually Patreon rewards that I'm working on.

In fact, that's what all these are here too.

So, people, when they pledge ten dollars or more on Patreon, they can receive a soundtrack

CD.

So, of course I have to autograph all of these.

So that's how I do this.

Never in my life did I think autographing things would be part of my job.

Nevertheless, I want to make sure people know their donations are appreciated.

I usually write little notes on the inside of the box, addressing the person by name,

so they hopefully don't feel like they are getting a form letter.

Then I fold up the box, and put the shipping labels on, and that one's done.

Of course, part of my daily routine is the mail truck.

It has a very distinctive sound and I can usually hear it when it is coming down the

street.

So I just walk out there with all of my packages and hand them to the mail man, and usually

he hands me something in return.

Often it is a donation, or it could be something I bought myself for an upcoming episode.

Nevertheless, I'm usually getting something in the mail every day.

Of course, when they are donations, I have to film the unboxing.

This is much more time consuming than it appears in my monthly unboxing videos, which are heavily

edited.

Needless to say, the average box I receive requires about 30 minutes to film me opening

it.

Then I usually spend some time cleaning and organizing the things that I receive, and

then of course comes the hard part, which is figuring out where I'm going to store

it until it is time to use it in a video.

My museum is full.

I have a lot of stuff just piled up around my workbench in my studio room, so there's

no room there.

So, I have some shelves in the attic and that's where a lot of it ends up going.

The donations have become quite a challenging problem since I've run out of practically

any space to put anything.

Now, I know a lot of people have suggested that I rent out a storage unit.

The trouble is, I've done the math and it just doesn't work out.

I mean, most of the stuff I would be putting in there is not worth all that much, so you

know, if I've got lets say three or four thousand dollars worth of stuff I'm putting

in there, but the storage unit costs over a hundred dollars a month to rent, if you

do the math, after just a few years I will have paid more money to store the stuff than

what the stuff is worth.

So, it just doesn't work.

That being the case, I've been trying to find more creative ways to store things here

in the house.

But, unless I want to start putting things in the kitchen and bathrooms, I pretty much

don't have anywhere left to go with it.

I recently got in a bunch more T-Shirts so now I need to fold them, sort them by size,

and inventory them.

This is surprisingly time consuming.

Some larger orders have in the past taken me two whole days just to fold.

So, finally I get to the part of the day where I actually start working on video projects.

So, this is for a recent video I made on the Advantech I.Q. computer and what I needed

to do was connect the computer to a video capture device so I could capture video directly

from the composite video source, which makes it much easier for my viewers to see what

is going on during the demonstration.

This takes me about an hour because I always record way more footage than I need, mostly

because I never know exactly what footage I will need until I start scripting and editing.

Next I needed to spend some time setting up the camera and filming the disassembly of

the computer.

This takes another couple of hours.

Filming things always take much longer than doing the same task without filming it.

I usually take a break around this time from video work and focus on some house chores,

whether it be cleaning the litter box, doing the dishes, or cleaning the microwave, even

though my wife claims I never actually do this.

Every evening I go to one of the local parks and take a walk.

I do this mainly because I need the exercise.

I typically walk anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, with intermittent jogging.

During this time I often am thinking about what I'm going to be doing in my next video,

or if I have a convention coming up, I'll be reheasring my speech to myself, and lately

I find myself thinking about my game and how I'm going to solve certain problems.

In the evening I'll usually code on my game for about an hour or so.

For those that don't know, I do the coding on a modern computer, and then test the code

in DOSBOX.

At least once a day I'll copy the game over to a floppy disk and test on my Tandy 1000

to make sure it works on real hardware.

Of course my cat is more interested in biting me at this moment.

It's just one of those things she does.

I think I should mention, by the way, I didn't have any guests over this day.

But quite often, around once a week or so I do have fans that stop by for a visit.

This is, of course, by appointment only as I can't just have people showing up unexpectedly.

But I actually enjoy the visits and these are pictures of some of the neat people I've

met over the last year or so.

So, the day is winding down and I've had a shower.

I'll usually relax and watch some TV for a while.

I really enjoy watching old sci fi shows like Doctor Who, Blake's 7, Red Dwarf, and many

others.

But I also have some modern shows I keep up with such as The Orville, The Big Bang Theory,

Rick & Morty, and a few others.

And, that about wraps up my day.

Now, that was a fairly normal day.

Obviously some days are different depending on what's going on that day.

You know, one of the benefits of being self-employed is that I do get to make my own schedule but

that's kind of a double-edged sword.

Because, while it is true that if I don't feel good one day or I'm just not motivated

I can literally just take the day off whenever I want.

The reality is, that doesn't happen very often.

I'm a highly motivated type person and so I wind up working pretty much every day and

that means weekends and holidays.

And I mean, even if I have like insomnia or something and I can't sleep, I might be

up at like 2 o'clock in the morning editing video or working on game code or something

like that.

So, it's kind of hard sometimes just to step away from the job, because I get bored

if I'm not doing anything constructive for any amount of time.

I also wanted to mention something else.

Since I do get so many emails every day, I thought it might cut down on some of them

if I posted an F.A.Q. or frequently asked questions on my website.

So, if you're thinking about contacting me, of course my contact information is on

the website, but now there is also an FAQ so maybe you can get your question answered

before emailing me.

I also wanted to mention that this month has seem a little bit of a slowdown in videos

and it's not because I haven't been working on any, it's just because some of the ones

I've been working on have kind of encountered some roadblocks and I'm just going to have

to put those to the side for a little bit and just kind of press forward with some of

the other videos I have on the schedule.

So, in fact, one of the next videos you're about to see is going to be the restoration

of an IBM PC Junior.

I've actually been working on that video for a while.

Most of it is filmed.

So, you'll probably be seeing that in the next week or so, as well as more of the Commodore

history series.

I've actually got 8 episodes of that planned.

I've only produced 3 of them so far.

And yes, the Amiga will be featured in the Commodore history series.

A lot of people keep asking me about that.

And after I'm done with that, I've got about 20 more at least partially scripted

computer documentaries from everything from Tandy, Atari, Apple computers, and so on.

Of course, I've got a lot more restoration projects that I'm going to be working on

here really soon.

And I've probably got some more modern game reviews coming up and a lot of other stuff,

so you know, stick around for that stuff and thanks for watching!

RUSSIANS REACT TO CHILEAN/COLOMBIAN MUSIC | Mon Laferte - Amárrame ft. Juanes | REACTION - Duration: 5:32.

Right now we're gonna react to the most requested song by Mon Laferte

The song is called Amarrame

Let's translate it

It means "Love me"

What a beautiful girl

How should I watch it?

Every rock musician has to get a tattoo

She's all covered with tattoos

Why did they tie the shoelaces together?

To show that they're together

Yeah, she's very beautiful

Ohh, that's not her!

That old man is so cool

Those panties look a little too big

Where did they film this? The background looks amazing

I like the idea of the video

It kinda looks like the US

Even the signs are in English

Very colorful place

Beautiful video

No, I think it's in Mexico

Why would they go film in the US?

Why not? -NO!

They're all tied together again

In every scene people are tied to each other

Those girls look pretty

But she's the prettiest one

See, everything is in English

And many people of African descent

There are many Africans in the Latin America

Not so much in Mexico

There's no black people in Mexico? -There are but not many

The video is very beautiful, I loved it

And the singer is very beautiful

But you didn't like her tattoos?

Yes, it's sad that she ruined her skin

If those tattoos are real -Of course they are real

If they are fake, then it's okay -They're not fake

She's amazing but the tattoos looks bad

Yeah, she's a cutie

Girls should have clean skin

Come on, mom

Tattoos are for men -It's rock, it's music

What rock? It's not rock!

She plays guitar. Musicians always loved tattoos

It's just in Soviet Union you didn't have tattoos

And in Mexico it's different

I'm talking from a position of my age

You're talking based on your upbringing and culture

I'm talking as a mom

In USSR tattoos weren't allowed, but in Mexico it's different

In Mexico tattoos probably have a different meaning

Even Indian tribes always had tattoos

I wouldn't allow my daughter have tattoos

I would be totally against it

I know that

Because girls should be clean, beautiful and tender

The singer is beautiful but has lots of tattoos

Come on, stop judging her

I'm not judging, I'm stating

We loved the song, the song is very nice!

We liked the singer!

The background is amazing

Please write in the comments where the video was filmed

Mom thinks it was filmed in Mexico, I think - in the US

Also please let us know what the song is about

Although by the title we can guess it's about love

But we would love to hear your opinion

"Vildan shouldn't leave" - Elif Episode 673 | Season 4 Episode 113 (English & Spanish subtitles) - Duration: 6:04.

By all these reasons,

I am, personally,

not in favour of Vildan to leave.

Well, I'm not either.

Besides, we're very pleased for having you with us.

Why do you have these nervous breakdowns? I don't understand.

Everyone has seen how you've taken care of me in the last couple of days.

Thank you, Mrs. Macide.

But...

The actual thing that I wanted to say...

That's enough!

Why do you talk in pieces?

Hold on, Hümeyra. Let's hear what she's going to say.

Yes, Vildan. You said it concerns Elif, too.

Is it something about her?

Mrs. Macide...

You've got used to Elif so much.

You're thinking her as a daughter,

or granddaughter of your own.

I...

I was going to take Elif with me, and leave once and for all.

You think this is the best day to tell that?

Now we're back from hospital,

mom's sensitive, and you know that,

wasn't there any other, suitable time for this?

Don't get upset on this.

Vildan,

you come with me.

Let's settle this matter.

Come on, Vildan!

Look, mother is tired, too.

Alright.

As you said it, Mr. Tarik.

Don't worry.

I'll take care of it.

Oh God...

She was fine after she got back from her hometown.

Why is she back to this? I don't get it!

And she was about to take our Elif with her.

Does she think we're going to allow that?

Sis, what's wrong with uncle's foot? He had that limp.

I was going to ask, too. What happened, Hümeyra?

He twisted his foot on his way out of the office.

Nothing serious.

What do you think you're doing?

You agreed my terms, Tarik.

And you admitted that in front of everybody.

I'm thinking...

that you wouldn't change your mind later.

This is the limit of impertinence! Is that the right thing to say?

Even if she wants to quit working,

she should look for some appropriate time for it. Did she think it was today?

Don't worry, darling.

I convinced her to stay.

Oh did you?

Thanks to her, she agreed that.

Whatever, I'm glad that she stays.

She's been our veteran for many years.

I wouldn't have wanted her to leave all of a sudden.

But, did she really picked today to tell us this?

It's a bit odd.

Besides, she didn't seem to be leaving, but anyway...

OK, son. Let's not take this any further.

I think so.

It's resolved at the end, we should be good with that.

"When you think of showing off..." - Elif Episode 673 | S.4 E.113 (English & Spanish subtitles) - Duration: 3:36.

- "Hello" to everybody! - Parla!

Welcome.

Thanks, Kerem. I've just heard that you're discharged from the hospital.

Just ran my way up here.

- Thanks. - My dear aunt Macide.

Thank you.

- Hello, brother Tarik. - Hi, welcome.

Aunt Macide, you should see now that you're being loved.

Even brother Tarik didn't go to the office, stayed with you.

Of course. Family is always first.

Even before the work.

Hope you're well now, aunt Macide.

You've scared us.

Well, yes, something happened. It's all over now, thankfully.

Exactly, you look well.

You've already recovered completely.

They're taking care of me well. God bless them.

Aunt Macide, these flowers are for you. I hope you'll like them.

Why wouldn't I? They look beautiful.

They look amazing, really.

- Thank you very much. - Don't even mention.

You get well, that's enough.

We were really sad, I mean really...

But, thankfully, it's in the past now.

Happy to have you here, dear. Thanks.

Oh, you're stuck with the flowers in your hands...

No worries, they'll take care of it.

Vildan!

Vildan!

Where are they then?

Yildiz?

Even in such time, they manage to disappear. What a shame.

Aunt Macide, I can get the flowers for you.

Thanks, Süreyya. Sorry for the discomfort, daughter.

Don't even think about it. I'll take care of them right away.

Put them somewhere we can see,

so we be all cheered up.

So true!

They're really lovely.

- I did the arrangement of the bouquet by myself. - Oh did you?

I knew that you liked,

so I interspersed white liliums among.

Kerem's told me once.

No way! You haven't forgot!

Never! I pay attention to things what my loved ones like.

Let's take you, for example.

Even though you like rock music, I know that you're a secret admirer of Frank Sinatra.

You gotta be kidding me! It's 2 out of 2!

- You're in great form today. - She really is!

Oh "thanks".

I really can't take my eyes off it!

When I left the store,

everybody was looking at the flowers in my hands!

When you think of showing-off and flashiness, Parla comes into one's mind!

Aunt Macide, if you'll excuse me...

I'll go and drop these to a vase.

Thank you, daughter.

So, Hümi?

What happened? What did they say about aunt Macide's condition?

Well, it seems that the meds the last doctor prescribed...

caused a reaction in the body, so she felt unwell.

John A. MacDonald: the Patriot Statesman - Duration: 8:24.

With his legacy currently under attack, one must ask: "Who is John A. MacDonald?" and

"Why was his leadership so important for the establishment of Canada?"

In Kingston, Ontario, at the old Cataraqui Cemetery, one could miss an unpretentious

granite marker, engraved with a simple inscription: John Alexander MacDonald, 1815-1891, At Rest.

One would not suspect that this grave contains the remains of one of the great driving forces

behind the creation of the Dominion of Canada.

MacDonald was a talented, hard-working visionary who left two great legacies - the unification

of British colonies in eastern North America into a single nation, followed by the expansion

of this union across the continent to the Pacific and the Arctic Oceans, bringing into existence

the second largest country on earth.

John A., as he was often known, was born in Glasgow, Scotland in January 1815.

Five years later his parents immigrated to Kingston, located in what was then Upper Canada.

His ability was considerable as he was inducted into the Law Society of Upper Canada at age

20.

In the 1840's MacDonald won a seat in the Upper Canada legislature.

By 1854 he became Premier.

As a conservative, he would always defend the democratic right of an individual to voice

a dissenting opinion - something today at risk under the censorship of political correctness.

He sought opportunities to create workable coalitions of people, political parties and

business to achieve big ideas.

"...MacDonald would be bold enough to make tough decisions and sensible enough to submerge

his own ego to support a cause."

In a land where there was a strong English-French divide, MacDonald, who spoke French, sought

to build partnerships with French Canada, and notably with the great Quebecer, George

Etienne Cartier.

Together they would help people rise above the immediate challenges to see a vision of

what could be if they worked for a common goal.

The ability to see big solutions and make them reality took great skill, wisdom, humility

and the ability to inspire.

There is a story told by former Prime Minister John Turner which illustrates this quality

of John A. David Thompson, a Liberal Member of Parliament

representing Haldimand and a Macdonald contemporary, had just returned to Parliament

after an extended absence due to illness.

According to Turner's story, Thompson reported that: "The first man I met was [Liberal leader

Edward] Blake; he passed me with a simple nod as if he had forgotten I was away.

Then I met [Liberal MP Richard] Cartwright, who was just as cold.

Then I met Sir John, who rushed across the Chamber, slapped me on the shoulder, grasped

my hand, and said, 'Davy, I am glad you are back again; I hope you will live many a day

to vote against me.'

It was pretty hard not to follow a man like that."

Not since the War of 1812 had there been fear of foreign invasion, yet throughout the 1860's

an Irish society, called the Fenians, was conducting what today would be called terrorist

raids across the border in numerous locations.

Some states were granting the Fenians safe haven, creating a risk to Canada.

This threat was an impetus for the colonies to consider a union.

Following the 1864 U.S. election, the Republicans, to placate Irish Americans, put forward The

Canada Annexation Bill in July of 1866.

Fear of annexation enabled MacDonald and his allies to bring about a consensus for a union.

Consequently, in 1866 the British parliament passed the British North America Act, a large

part of which was drafted by John A. July 1, 1867 was selected as the date on which

the Dominion of Canada would be born.

MacDonald was the obvious choice to become the first prime minister.

Many challenges lay ahead, but his vision, patience and willingness to respect other

opinions enabled him to be a unifying force.

He was acutely aware of the need to expand Confederation westward to the Pacific.

MacDonald led the task of bringing the new province of Manitoba into existence (1870),

followed by the addition of British Columbia (1871).

The latter required the promise of a transcontinental railway, the greatest single project ever

undertaken by a Canadian government.

The project led to a financial scandal that caused the government's defeat in 1873.

Yet in 1878 he was back.

The populace looked for a visionary who had a record of delivery.

MacDonald then went on to win 4 consecutive elections, stabilized the young nation, and

put it on a pathway to success.

MacDonald believed in a strong central government and a willingness to spend on projects that

were in the national interest.

He oversaw the development of a national police force that would become the Royal Canadian

Mounted Police, to bring order to the West.

He was faced with a national crisis when a rebellion occurred in the North West, challenges

he handled with skill and balance.

He developed a strong friendship with Crowfoot, the leading Blackfoot Chief, who realized

MacDonald wanted to make lasting improvements in the lives of aboriginal peoples, desiring

them to become full citizens of the British Empire.

Unfortunately in the politically-correct environment of today's society, history is not viewed

in the context of the time, and MacDonald is judged much too harshly.

He endured many personal trials including the death of his first wife,

and the debilitating illness of his daughter.

MacDonald was always a devoted husband and loving father.

Even in his worst moments he never let his loyalty to country, or his sense of duty to

his people depart from his sight.

At times he would delay a difficult decision until the conditions for a successful outcome

were evident.

This earned him the nickname, "Old Tomorrow".

Canadian Senator Hugh Segal writes of MacDonald: He could always build a coalition on an issue

that mattered...That was his most compelling success.

There's a point in any partisan debate where you've got to stand back and realize there

is something more...and that is loyalty to your country.

"Old Tomorrow" gave a young nation vision and strong, unselfish leadership.

MacDonald was not without faults and weaknesses, but lack of love of country and loyalty to

family were not among them.

Wilfred Laurier, Canada's first French Canadian Prime Minister, said in 1891 on the death

of MacDonald: "It may be said without any exaggeration whatever, that the life of Sir

John Macdonald, from the date he entered Parliament, is the history of Canada."

Aspiring leaders of today would do well modeling Sir John A.'s vision, passion and loyalty.

It is needed as never before.
