Waching daily Feb 21 2018

what's going on guys it's Brian from BG meeting innovation and today I want to

bring you some great content if you're new to the channel

it's full of digital marketing tips ecommerce insights and really

step-by-step how-to content for any aspiring entrepreneur that wants to make

money online so if you're new to the channel go and hit that subscribe button

so you don't miss anything and with that being said we're just gonna jump right

in

alright guys I wanted to do a little bit of an ad revenue update for you today

and touch on some of the channel stuff as we move forward now first and

foremost you'll notice here that were about 2600 subscribers and the last time

that we did an ad revenue update on this channel was about a thousand subscribers

I believe so if you're interested in checking that entire playlist out I'll

drop that as a card up in the right-hand corner right now that way you can go

ahead and check out the entire ad reading journey that this this channel

took so that you can understand more importantly if you launched a channel

and you start you know doing content creation on YouTube what to expect ad

revenue wise and subscriber wise and how fast you can grow and scale that was

really the reason that I started doing this playlist and I hope that you get

some value from it now I do want to thank you guys because as you'll see

we're about 2600 subscribers and we're growing fairly rapidly I think about a

hundred every two days or so which is pretty cool and you know I did not

expect this fast so you know I really really really see big things coming for

this channel in the future and I would've been able to do it without you

guys so thank you from the bottom of my heart and genuinely appreciative

appreciative excuse me of all the all the support all the engagement all the

likes and more importantly all your time as you dedicate you know your time to

watch the videos because I know that time you know I talk about that a lot on

this channel is also a form of currency and you're spending your valuable time

here with me on this channel and you know growing our engagement and I

genuinely could not be more appreciative but now we're getting into the specifics

of the ad revenue you know we have twenty six hundred subscribers roughly

you'll see here as always on full disclosure I want to show you the

numbers so that you get a good kind of interpretation of where you can expect

you can be yourself but you'll see here that this obviously fluctuates in the

last 28 days roughly so we're gonna just assume that that's like monthly it's

it's fluctuated up and down for a little bit there was close to 300 and a little

bit over now it's a little bit down to 283 but we can safely assume that it's

been about 300 a month for the past you know that's what we're earning

essentially on YouTube now with about 2600 subscribers so just kind of touch

on this really fast if we jump into here you'll notice that

when it pulls up in it loads you know you really don't earn that much a day so

this is a six ninety five day and then it's hourly slowly starts to creep up my

best day to date was 1837 so that's not very much you're not really earning that

much ad revenue wise daily or monthly you'll also see here that my best video

was still the check the video that I put on my home page despite the fact that

this is probably one of my worst editing jobs I guess it just hit for a lot of

different people and that's what Alex Becker doesn't want you to know about

Shopify drop shipping 2018 and that's earned to year to date twenty one twenty

six fifty five overall so that vastly outperformed all my other videos on top

of that so it's pretty cool to see finally one of my videos hit but you

know that could be a big reason that we're getting the 300 another part of

big a big reason that I'm seeing 300 and also a reason that you should be

starting your channel as well here is what's called um with a lot of the other

content creators on YouTube kind of a you know zoning out and kind of pushing

out the reason that you're starting to see a spike in my ed revenue and you

would see the same thing if you started creating content as well is because a

lot of people are giving up on YouTube with all the new stipulations in place

and that's exactly why I said it's a great time to get into it because

there's a lot less competition with smaller channels now so you'll start to

see this will probably only increase as you know the time goes on so I kind of

want to touch on that for you guys briefly on top of that I do want to talk

about the fact that this is something I've talked about in a lot of the videos

on this playlist is that you should not be doing YouTube for the ad revenue you

should be you doing YouTube because first and foremost you genuinely enjoy

it and you have some content that you want to relate to people but more

importantly you shouldn't expect a lot of ad revenue at least at first you

should be doing you know YouTube to generate a to generate traffic to your

website potentially to you know potentially you know whether that's you

know you want to do consulting whether that's you want to sell products like

I'd obviously do I obviously link my products in every description and that's

been great for me promotionally wise but you shouldn't be doing it you should be

going in expecting to make a lot of ad revenue like I always talk about the

real reason that you can doing YouTube is to build an audience around your

brand the ad revenue will come eventually but it's definitely not a

goal that you should set initially because it is a slow process to kind of

get up to that point granite there are a lot of channels that are

earning a lot of ad revenue and you can certainly be one of those you know with

time and with effort but it's just definitely something not something you

should focus on and more importantly just to kind of I know it's been a

little bit discouraging in this video because I'm giving it to you real and

raw but there are there has been an uptick of channels that have earned more

than a hundred grand in last year I think I think it increased 40% I think I

got the email yet and increased about 40 percent I believe this past year for

content creators across YouTube's platform so little caveat there

obviously there's some light at the end of the tunnel so to speak but it won't

happen initially so hope you guys like this ad revenue update obviously I'm

earning about you know roughly 300 a month here on YouTube now in 2018 you

can have similar numbers by no means whatsoever is my channel big or gets you

know ridiculous amounts of engagement or anything like that so if I can do it you

can certainly do it and hope you like that update as always I like the video

it really really helps channel grow and I genuinely appreciate it check out that

ad revenue playlist if you haven't already so you can check out the ad

revenue journey and as always guys comment and I will see you tomorrow

Let's Talk About Net Neutrality - Duration: 2:09.

You can't do this, you can't take away the wifi!

Remember when we were all freaking out about Net Neutrality?

They ask you how you are and you just have to say that you're fine when you're not really fine.

About the FCC's decision to repeal would mean that internet service providers would charge

extra for certain websites and throdle our service.

Yeah it felt like the world was ending.

Here's the thing though, what if it was actually a blessing in disguise?

What did you say?

See the decision got a lot of people mad.

And looking for other ways to get their internet.

Ways like public broadband.

Cities across the country are now talking about setting up their own internet service

for their communities.

Basically it would be considered just another utility like electricity or gas.

Because that's what the internet is at this point.

An essential part of our lives.

It's almost not an option to not have it, and theres no reason why it needs to cost

an arm and a leg.

I refuse to pay for the wiffy!

It's wifi.

So considering that three out of four americans currently only have one ISP in their area,

public broadband could offer real competition to these private companies.

And in theory, this could drive prices down.

Just look at Chattanooga, Tennessee, it's the first city in the US to offer 10-gigabit-per-second

fiber internet service to all its residents and businesses.

When it started advertising it's service as the fastest in Chattanooga, Comcast hit them

with cease and desist letters.

So what did the city do?

They just improved their service making it way faster then the company could compete with.

And all of this is cheap too.

Just 70 bucks for internet speed that's 50 times the average for homes in the U.S.

And obviously ISP's are furious. Which is why they've lobbied to pass laws in cities across

20 states that complicate or ban local government from offering their own broadband service.

In Fort Collins, Colorado, a group backed by private ISPs spent almost $1 million to

block the city from passing municipal broadband.

But thanks to grassroots support, the measure passed. and now Comcast could lose as much

as $23 million a year.

And if public broadband really takes off it might even open up the playing field for new

providers who could step up and create even more competition because let's be real these

companies should be supporting us not taking advantage of us.

So could the death of net neutrality actually be a good thing?

For UPROXX, I'm Frankie Greek.

Monster

How should I feel?

Creatures lie here

Looking through the window

That night he caged her

Bruised and broke her

He struggled closer

Then he stole her

Violet wrists and then her ankles

Silent pain

Then he slowly saw their nightmares were his dreams

Monster

How should I feel?

Creatures lie here

Looking through the windows

Hear their voices

I'm a glass child

I am Hannah's regrets

Seventeen Reaction: 'Thanks (고맙다)' MV (German/ENG Sub) - Duration: 12:25.

Hey guys!

Here comes a new reaction video, and today it's about Seventeen!

Seventeen is kind of a special Kpop group.

The produce and compose their songs themselves as well as write their own lyrics.

And they also work on their own choreography. So, they actively take part in many steps.

Of course they are always supported by seniors who have more experience,

but Seventeen are really well known as a self-producing group,

which isn't common in Kpop.

Seventeen are parted into three working sections:

the performance or dancing group, the rappers and the vocalists.

And they're very, very strong in their domains.

It's a pity though, that Seventeen still haven't gotten the amount of recognition

which I believe the boys deserve, because they are really, really hard workers

and they produce so much and are very creative. I mean, as I said, they choreograph their own dances and

it 's such an achievement, because their dances are just so good.

Fair enough, Seventeen does have many band members,

so it's tough at times to keep up with everybody

and stay on top of things, because it is quite a lot to take for first timers.

Whatever.

Today's reaction video is on "Thanks" or "고맙다" (/go-ma-da/), which means "thank you" in Korean.

I do like all Seventeen songs so far.

The only one which I didn't enjoy as much is "Clap".

It's the track released before "Thanks". But it's still good.

And now I'm looking forward to "Thanks", so let's go!

Right, close-ups of all band member is a good thing,

so if you're not familiar with Seventeen yet, you can get your way through the many band members.

[sighs] Aahh... Joshua...

Ok, slow tempo beat.

So far.

Oh, the rap part fits perfectly here!

Oh, lovely!!

Oh!

VERNON!

So you can peek into their studio and the recording.

This is also nice to see, and it fits to what I mentioned before.

Them being a self-producing group is the main subject here. Cool!

The bridge is a little obvious, but ok.

[fangirl mode] HOSHI!!

[laughs about herself]

Uh, Mingyu.

Mingyu is a case of its own, whatever.

[laughs]

Ooh, DK!

Honestly, Seventeen has three to four great singers. Awesome!

What am I even saying, all Seventeen vocalists are super strong!

[sighs heavily] What's up with those striped shirts!?

Uuh, The8 has a slight mullet, awww.... no!!

[frustrated outcry]

[mumbles] Aww, S.Coups.

Oh, that shot of Vernon was so beautiful!

[giggles] Not sure how I feel about those coats, blazers... hn...

Alright...

I think I-

I'm not a real fan of songs with slow tempo.

That's way the song doesn't get to me right away.

Ha, I'm really struggeling with these kind of songs...

which aren't that up-beat or don't have any big beats.

I need some time to like them.

I do think it's a beautiful song for their fans.

But if it is my cup of tea?

I'd say no at the moment, but I'm going to listen to it again and then let's see.

[thinking]

Like I said, I do enjoy the concept of the video because - as I told you -

Seventeen take part a lot in the song production and this is captured in the video.

You can see how the write their own lyrics. Especially Woozi who writes so much and is very creative.

And who is lyrics-wise so communicative.

Eh, he has a nice shot at the beginning.

And then, them all being in the studio, seeing them

giving instruction on how to improve the song in terms of vocal performance.

One already had a chance to see some Making Of snippets.

Which is a nice extra.

Great close-ups!

Really great ones!

What I applaud them for, is not having the color scheme of "Kokobop" or "DNA" in their video.

That loud color scheme which we already had way back starting with EXID. It's not in here.

And that I appreciate a lot!

The color scheme is much warmer and looks more natural.

Ehm, so it has a more realistic or authentic vibe.

I believe I enjoy that. It fits Seventeen well.

Uhm, Seventeen did have one video whose color scheme was brighter and louder...

which is "Very Nice" and maybe "Boom Boom".

They have that tendency.

But they were still subtle and this one here has a different style.

Which is rather enjoyable.

I'll watch it again before saying much more.

Well, it really- the music video goes so well with the song because...

it just supports the overall mood. Nothing really happens, there is no plot.

It has a lot of calm elements, judging by the beginning.

They're all sitting around in their fluffy, cozy jumpers.

And you only focus on the song.

Until S.Coups starts rapping and it goes so well with it.

[sighs]

This music video is made for Vernon! There are so many close-ups of his...

ah, face...

where you can see those facial bones... ah!

[focuses on the lyrics]

The topic is love and emotions again.

But it kind of feels more authentic if you keep in mind that...

the lyrics were written by the boys themselves [or rather by Woozi].

Ah, those shots in that make-up room are so lovely!!

[squeals] Oh Hoshi!

The8 has some close-ups that's good.

But Jun doesn't really have any.

He get's kind of lost.

Ah!! That shot with that large vanity table is so dope! I want-

OOH!!! AND THEN THEY ALL LOOK INTO THE CAMERA! OH LORD!!

[laughs about herself] That is just so well done!

The mood is so dope!

The more I listen to it,

the more I like the song.

Not kidding.

I still feel like it won't be my favorite Seventeen song.

Mainly because, as I said, it's not my type of music.

Nonetheless, it's a powerful song.

It has strong vocals.

And, ehm...

The music video is well produced as it...

only supports the song.

Same goes for the dance. The dance isn't very dominant...

in this one.

Not much is shown of it, though.

What the dance does, it highlights the vocals and song.

I do believe I could completely go without the choreo, but well, a dance is kind of obligatory.

The songs fits well the spring season or the end of winter season. It's a season-transition-song. I like that.

As mentioned, that shot were they all sit at the large vanity table. It's so fine!

I see that it is difficult if you have 13 boys in a band and try to have a fair share on lines and close-ups.

That's a pity.

For example, Joshua has some shots at the beginning, but almost none at the end.

Vernon is very present in the middle.

Hoshi more towards the ending. Woozi more at the beginning and not at the end.

It's not always that well balanced.

Too bad.

But of course it's not only about the boys [clears her throat]

So, I guess for Carat, that's the name of Seventeen's fandoms, this song is a nice present.

It fits them and the boys.

So, if you rather like calmer pop music and...

you really care for more personal or self-written lyrics and

you want to make sure, your group can take part in their song's production, then I'd recommend to listen to Seventeen.

To their overall track list, but also to "Thanks".

That was it for today and I'll see you again next time!

Bye! :)
