President Moon dines with Ivanka Trump at Blue House, express difference in resolving N. Kore - Duration: 2:52.
The Blue House rolled out the red carpet for the U.S. President's eldest daughter, Ivanka
Trump, who's leading the U.S. delegation in South Korea that'll attend the closing ceremony
of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
While both stressed the need for peace on the Peninsula, they displayed a slight difference
on how to achieve that goal.
Our Blue House correspondent Hwang Hojun reports.
President Moon Jae-in hosted a dinner on Friday evening in honor of America's First Daughter
at Sangchunjae, a landmark building on the Presidential Office grounds that serves as
a venue for unofficial meetings and dinners with small groups of foreign dignitaries.
The South Korean President expressed his gratitude for his U.S. counterpart's support of the
PyeongChang Games.
"The interest and cooperation of President Trump and the U.S. are significant factors
that are leading the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games to success."
President Moon noted the thawing relations between the two Koreas through active dialogue
amid North Korea's participation in the Olympics and reiterated the need to continue the momentum
for inter-Korean dialogue and reconciliation.
Ivanka Trump, in return, thanked her host, but hinted a different tone on the issue.
"I thank you for hosting us all here tonight as we reaffirm our bonds of friendship, of
cooperation, of partnership and reaffirm our commitment to our maximum pressure campaign
to ensure that the Korean peninsula is denuclearized."
In fact, as a senior adviser to her father, Ivanka Trump relayed a personal message from
the American President to President Moon about President Trump's announcement on quote "the
heaviest sanctions" against North Korea, according to a senior U.S. government official.
The Blue House said President Moon insisted Seoul and Washington should work closely together,
seizing the opportunity to achieve peace on the Peninsula,... indicating that sanctions
alone cannot resolve the issue.
"President Moon said, the country with the strongest determination to stop North Korea's
nuclear weapons program is South Korea.
But the joint efforts of South Korea and the United States to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula
over the past 25 years have failed."
Also coming to South Korea for the Olympics' closing ceremony on Sunday will be a high-level
delegation from North Korea... consisting of eight members led by Kim Yong-chol,...
a former spy chief who has been widely blamed for the 2010 sinking of a South Korean warship
and orchestrating the shelling of Yeonpyeong-do Island in the same year.
The visits by the North Koreans and the Americans will overlap.
But the chances of them encountering one another, let alone having a meeting,... appear very
slim -- not least because both the Blue House and the White House have ruled it out.

So, it was more fun making it.
There were full of passion and energy involved during the practice.
It was great that we could make this choreography together.
When I got the proposal, I was worried. We made this choreography while worrying about whether we could do this or not.
The attempt of trying to use the moves that the artist does not usually use was a big challenge. And I am proud of him.
Previously, we released 2 videos with PREPIX,
The first one was with RAGI,
The second one was with WASSUP.
By preparing those videos and looking at this video,
For me, HYUK, I was able to increase the ability of the dance moves, dancing as a whole, and performance.
I was able to see and feel various things. There are full of memories in these wonderful times.
It was my pleasure and a thankful period of time.

Sketching Singapore Little India - Pongal Celebration - Duration: 4:44.
Hi, this is Alvin Mark. We're here inside Komala Vilas.
This is my favorite place here in Little India and I come here for my pongal fix.
What's a pongal? Find out in the next couple seconds.
Pongal is this very underrated dish or meal.
I consider meal because just one scoop of it and you're filled.
So that's Ven Pongal – it's a mixture of rice, yellow mung beans or dal, cashew nuts,
black pepper seeds, cumin and curry leaves.
And you know what?
This place really reminds me of a time
in Singapore when my family was still here we used to come here.
In fact, it was my sister and her husband who introduced me to this place.
Woah!
What a flashback.
What happened there?
My sister's here?
Oh yes, I usually pair my pongal with chai masala.
And let me tell you not only is the food delicious here,
it is so affordable!
Pongal is only served in the mornings,
so drop by at 7 in the morning because that's when they open.
the thing sells out pretty quick.
Let's enjoy this simple meal.
So we have this lovely interactive set-up by the Indian Heritage Center here in Little India.
This looks like what well for a studio for me!
Anyway I'm out here to paint some cows.
to all my friends from overseas whom I told that there are no cows in Singapore...
I am truly sorry because there are cows in Singapore...
at the Viknesh Dairy Farm at Lim Chu Kang.
Here are a couple of them: three huge ones and two calves,
and two goats.
It's unbelievable!
They are huge!
They're ginormous!
I'm gonna paint one of them now.
The next day is known as Mattu Pongal - the second day of the Pongal festival,
the day of Pongal for cows.
Multicoloured beads, tinkling bell, sheaves of corn and flower garlands are tied around the neck
of the cattle and then they are worshipped. Cows give nourishing milk. Bulls and oxen help
to plow the fields, thus Mattu Pongal is a day of Thanksgiving to the cattle,
giving them the pride of place.
That was a moo-ving experience! :) I think it was my
first time painting cows... live cows. Never knew that they existed in Singapore.
But whoop de doo! Looking forward to more cow painting in Wexford - Art in the Open.

New Orleans French Market Coffee and Chicory Coffee Review - Duration: 3:54.
- Hey welcome to Coffee, Coffee, Coffee.
Your place for Average Joe coffee reviews.
Today's coffee has a flower in it.
(upbeat music)
- Today we are reviewing New Orleans Famous French Market
Coffee and Chicory Dark Roast.
What are you doing (laughs)?
- My French mustache.
- Okay.
- That I could never grow.
- (laughs) So we've never tried chicory coffee before.
- No, first time, never. - Yeah, and it's
so it's coffee and then there's chicory.
Chicory is part of the dandelion family.
We had to look that up 'cause we didn't know.
It's been used as a coffee substitute before
and sometimes people just add it to their coffee.
- The civil war.
- Yeah. - Probably is when it
was most used.
- Also. - That's my guess.
- Yeah, (laughs) that's just a total guess.
It has some calories in it which is interesting.
Normally when you, I mean there's never the nutrition facts
but there is.
And so it's got one carb and 10 calories per two teaspoons.
- Interesting. - Yeah.
- That's surprising too to have that kind of thing
on the coffee.
All right so this coffee was
3.99 a bag on sale.
That was a pretty good sale, it was originally six bucks.
- Right, yeah. - So that's pretty good.
- Yeah, so it's a medium, I would call that a medium
priced coffee for us.
Whatever eight dollars a pound normal price.
- Yeah. - 8.80 a pound
yeah. - Yeah.
If you're in San Francisco paying $40 for a bag.
(laughs) I don't know.
That wouldn't be the same. - I don't think
that's a thing.
So this coffee to me is like totally different
then what you would expect in a cup of coffee.
To me it's very
cocoa flavory. - Right.
- Cocoay. - Like a cocoa powdery type.
- Right.
Yeah, like cocoa powder.
That's exactly what's it's like for me.
And there's a sweetness
to it. - A little bit, yeah.
- To me. - We were talking about
that a little bit before.
I put sugar in mine so I didn't taste that as much
as she does.
- Yeah.
- But there's also a hint of a nuttiness.
- Yeah, a little bit of nuttiness.
But when I tasted this
I only put half and half in it
so I never have any sweetness normally but this is
really got a sweetness and then also, the bag does say
it has one carb. - Right.
- So that is some sweetness.
So yeah interesting. - Yeah.
But overall I would say yes, we'd buy it again.
I think probably our rating might be a little higher
than what I'm thinking if it were less expensive
all the time.
- Yeah, if it were less expensive
all the time. - But it's not necessarily.
- Yeah. - So I was thinking
three and 1/2 donuts,
out of five. - Right, yeah.
I think for, yeah three and 1/2 is fine.
If it were cheaper I'd probably be at a four.
- Yeah. - And also just a other
quick note is the, when I tasted this just now
I kind of almost have a, it's like a soapy taste (laughs)
at the very (laughs) beginning for me.
I don't know, but that being said
I really do enjoy this coffee.
The first sip, just kind of, I think it's just so different.
Then what I'm expecting. - Yeah.
- Then it's like oh, okay.
And then I adjust it, but I do like it overall.
- Well let us know if you've ever tried a chicory coffee
before or if you've just had straight out chicory.
- Yeah. - Like your gangster
like that. (laughs)
I don't think you're supposed to say the R.
- (laughs) Gangsta. - Gangsta.
(laughs) Like that and you have
(rap music)
Straight out chicory coffee.
