Network Marketing Accounting Specialists - Secondary Income - Duration: 0:58.

Hi, I'm Chris Whitley-Jones from PRB Accountants, down in Sussex. We specialise

in acting for network marketing businesses. For many people, their network

marketing business will be a second source of income and it's particularly

important that where that's the case you get registered for self assessment. The

reason for that is that HM Revenue & Customs, from time to time, have specific

campaigns on identifying people with second incomes and ensuring that they're

in the self assessment tax system. And where they identify people that are not

in the self assessment tax system there are very hefty fines for not complying -

several thousand pounds in some cases. I hope you found this video useful. If

you've got any other queries please give me a call (on 01444 458 252) or take a look at our YouTube

channel (PRB Accountants Network Marketing Specialists) which has a number of other videos on other topics. Many thanks.

DCS: F-86F - Soft & Heavy Landing - #4 Tutorial - English subtitles - Duration: 12:13.

Hi and welcome to Revientor Reborn, this is DCS and we are in a F86 Sabre, Today I will speak about the Landing,

we´ll start with a typical landing, this plane weigh now 14500 Lb, extra fuel depleted and 2 missiles, a normal return

to land you have to get around 110 knots, depending how much the plane weigh, do never use the flaps, or landing gear above 180 knots

today keys are, G for the landing gear, with left shift and left control F for flaps, left shift/control B for the airbrake in/out

you have the air brake in the throttle in this upper part

flaps here and landing gear here, also to extend the light it´s here

all of that under 180 knots, also we lock the visor gyros, and the radar and visor system off

go for 2000 feet, looks when the throttle is on the full back there is a tone, that is if you are going to land, you do not have the landing gear out

you will notice that when you are ready to land ,

external light in flash, slow a little.. speedbrake out

when the airbrake is out the nose of the plane is down, the opposite with the flaps,

there is a reference, about 4nm, at 2000 above the airbase, using the visor the airbase in the middle you get you path to land safely

never have the engine under 55% because the slow speed to increase the thrust

I have to keep the latitude, in this base, the coast is around 4,5nm, then we can use that reference, I prefer have already all out, gear, flaps... when reaching that point

Iam trimming up while flaps are getting out, and now with the G the plane looks like loose speed brutally

when flaps down, do not forget move the handle to the center posit

I have to trim more...

because I am flying too slow I will start the descending phase a bit later, this "way" if ro 160 knots aprox.

some trim down, each speed change need a trim adjustment, look the runway almost in the middle of the visor

when you are going fast you must put the airbase over the mid of the visor, if you are slow, put it under the mid of the visor

I have to go some right but it´s ok, and now!!!

when you look the runway have this view, the end of the runway on the top line of the visor

it´s the time to pull up more to make a soft hit with the ground,

also you can set IDLE to touch around 120 , 110 knots

and there slow... I love this brake system you can pull all the way down and the wheels do not driff

you can see some break marks on the runway but its good braking system

this plane do not require a long runway to land, now its time to heavy landing

I forget to tell you to extend external lights, now I hope do not forget it

the heavy landing is like the normal one, but must be softer when you touch the ground

this plane weigh 19717 lb 4 fuel tanks... balbla...

then I need more speed to generate lift

gear down, flaps out, some trim, I am under 2000 feet, flaps locked , 150 knots, I am almost in the reference, but I will keep,

around 3nm, we start doing the same reference maneuver, and the runway in the mid of the visor,

it the same but touching soft... for that in the final phase, we´ll be closer to the ground, now, when in a normal landing you tray to recover, I will continue to be close to the ground and pull up later

now when the runway it´s almost parallel you can pull up, very soft... and look it´s kind of hard touch...

there is no damage, but this landing gear is very easy to break,

and the cokpit gear down indicator indicate the failure

there is no damage,

that was the heavy landing, the parking brake never works as expected, lol,

in theory you brake use the handle release the brakes and release the handle and that all, but you can see that many times the handle do not keep the out position

I hope you liked the tutorial, there is no need for a long runway also in this landing, the half of the runway, and the normal landing only 1/3 of runway

subscribe give a feedback and bye happy, bye bye

Inktense 💙 My fav! - Duration: 5:07.

Hi! Karolina from www.drycha.com here.

In this video I'll show You my fav watersoluble pencils

and by this I mean Inktense by Derwent.

These are no regular pencils... it's ink in form of a pencil!

It's watersoluble and permanent after drying.

Name is pun of "ink"

and "intense".

Perfect name for

such a beautiful rich colors.

At the beginning

probably spring 2014

I bought set of 10 or 12 pencils

and I liked them so much that I was buing more and more.

When I had more than 30 I decided

hehe

if these are so brilliant - I will go crazy and buy whole set

of 72 colors.

...and that decision was great :)

Such a beautiful deep colors.

When You use Inktense with water

color is permanent after drying.

It means - it's possible to make

many non-mixable layers.

For example - You could draw something blue...

..wait until dry...

..and add yellow,

and it will be separate.

Coloring is easy.

These are not too hard nor too soft,

in my humble opinion :)

and You can buy sticks if You

prefer to use them in larger areas.

Remember that Inktense look most beautifully

on watercolor paper.

Intensity of Inktense we can control

by pressure on the paper.

Draw softer

if You want lighter layer of colour.

Inktense palette has rich colours,

so if You want to paint subtle, pastel elements

You have to add less pigment onto the paper.

If You want to dissolve Inktense

don't press too hard.

Dissolving is nice but If You draw

line too hard

it can be still visible after adding water.

Palette is very interesting.

There are many stunning colours, some shades of black,

white,

and "outliner" - pencil that

that doesn't react with water.

It's helpful if You want to draw

contour of details.

If You have set in the box I recommend to write codes and names on it.

It makes working with colour chart way easier.

Same during organizing colours.

you can just draw / colour with dry pencil

and left it in this form.

Most popular use is probably

draw/colour with dry pencil and

dissolve it with water.

You can also colour with wet pencil.

This effect looks like oil pastels imo.

Remember to dry pencil after using.

For more dreamy effect

use dry pencil on wet paper.

Paper have to be great quality so it would not wave or tease.

I'm using Arches watercolor paper at this moment.

If Your a fan of watercolor effects

or You can't stand pencil mark after dissolving

You can take colour from pencil with a wet brush.

I recomment using all of these techniques

for best results.

Only con of Inktense

is lack of typical skin colours.

Of course we can mix colours

but if skin colours

would be on the colour palette

- making portraits would be way easier and faster.

Anyway,

Inktense are my fav watersoluble pencils.

I'll share more videos about them soon.

Wait for giveaway too ;)

Subscribe if You don't wanna miss this.

That's all in this video.

Thanks so much for watching and see You next time!

Take care! Bye!

Plasma ball painting - detailed tutorial with captions. - Duration: 2:19:36.

By SZJ Gallery Music by Damiano Baldoni

Have a gessoed canvas ready.

This is 60 by 50 cm.

Paint it black. (I use lamp black).

We'll just skip past this boring step.

Let it dry.

I wasn't sure what I wanted besides the Plasma ball itself.

So a littles needless sketching will appear soon. Pay no heed to it.

Using a toilet roll, I spray inside it with white spray paint.

Let dry.

Titanium white.

Glazing medium.

I am defining the circle a bit.

Okay, so now we will be adding a ton of white splodges inside this large circle.

They need to be random.

Add around the edge as well.

Don't worry about precision just yet.

I am using two brushes.

One with titanium white on, and one with only glazing medium.

I first dap on some white, and then I use medium to make it more soft around the edges.

I'll demonstrate close up in a bit.

I also add a very transparent layer of white along the edge.

Close up demo now:

Brush nr. one: First white paint.

Brush nr two: Only medium.

I am sort of smudging out the edges.

You don't have to make them round or perfect.

The more random the better.

All right, so I am speeding this part up now.

Let it dry.

Permanent Magenta.

Now we are going to glaze this color all over this sphere.

Don't try to add to thick a layer. We can always add another layer on top.

Now let this layer dry.

I am going in with a second layer now. (speeding it up for now).

(I will be speeding up regularly, or else this tutorial would be six hours long.)

Let it dry.

Going back to the titanium white we will now add it to the center of all the splodges.

Same procedure as with the first time, just on a smaller scale.

It's tedious, I know, but it will be woth it.

By the way, don't use a Q-tip for this. It will dry and just take of the paint rather than smudge.

I switch to a brush in a few seconds.

Speeding it up again:

Quinacridone Rose.

This is a beatiful color, but it dries a lot darker than you think.

Now glaze this on top of the splodges. Don't add too much. Just a thin glaze will do.

Speeding up now:

There is no need for precision.

Okay, let it dry.

I am adding these thin reflections around the sphere.

Keep them near the edge.

To make it easier, you can use a white Posca Pen. I didn't think of this until editing.

Speeding up again:

So now we need to add these shadows to the lines.

Make them transparant and ray-like in towards the middle.

Don't add them to alle the lines. Just a few of them.

And don't make them equal lengh either.

Okay, so now we add the lines.

Make them sort of twisty and turny. No straight lines.

The need to attach the splodges to the middle.

This will be the first of many layers. Be patient.

Attach at least two splodges to every line going to the center.

I am speeding past now.

Let them dry.

Intensifying the middle sphere a little more.

Permanent Magenta again.

I am just adding some of the lines to the middle. Not all of them.

Ultramarine blue.

I am now glazing all the lines with this darker blue.

Avoid the center where we just highlighted

You should also try to avoid the splodges.

We will be going over the lines again later on.

I am just adding a very thin layer in the middle. It will help create dimention later on.

Now we highlight the edges of the middle sphere.

We do this to make it appear to be glowing.

Blend it towards the middle a bit.

So I made a mistake and ended up just covering the whole thing in white.

No worries. A wet Q-tip will remove the paint where we don't want it.

And now we go back over the lines with white.

I swear it has a purpose.

Just do some of them. Not all and not all the way.

It gives a very cool effect and creates dimension.

We are now highlighting the outer edges of the lines.

Make sure that some of the darker blue can still be seen.

See, now we have some darker lines and some lighter ones.

This helps create depth.

The lines with darker blue indicate that they are in the back. The lighter ones are in front.

I hope that makes sense.

Now I am using Primary Cyan and glazing it on top of the highlighted lines.

Don't cover it even. Be a little careless here.

Alrigth this will be a mess. I had no clue what I wanted, so just bear with me for a second.

(Mask and gloves on.)

I first started using white. Then decided on black instead.

Then went with the white again. In the end I decide to go with just black all around.

Whoops. It slipped.

I was getting a bit frustrated here.

I needed to think before moving forward.

Permanent Magenta again.

Primary Cyan.

Medium.

I am just repairing the edges of the sphere.

I just added a layer of glaze to the sparks. Now I ad another layer to the lines.

It really make them pop.

See now I rembered the Posca pen.

Let it dry completely.

Primary Magenta.

Turquoise

Using an old tooth brush and titanium white mixed with water.

Now flick the hairs on the toothbrush and create a million stars.

No need to count them though. I'll believe you.

Okay, so here I am wasting a lot of paint. Skip this step and go directly to the black. You will see what I mean in a bit.

I thought this would work as an underpaint. It did not. ;) I'll be covering it in black shortly.

I rembered that the sphere is actually transparent. So I had to add stars to that as well.

These things happen when you don't plan.

No stars in the middle though.

Just giving it a tiny amount of glaze on top of the stars.

Last time I swear.

Just waisting some more paint.

Now for the black.

I'll just speed past this.

We are going to dry brush grey on top of the black now.

I have a tiny amount of grey on my brush and I am sort of scrubbing it on.

We'll speed past this too, shall we?

I use a black Posca pen and I am trying to outline what I want.

Mountains. We want mountains by the way.

We will add highlights to the edges of these mountains.

I use my finger to smudge it out.

I am sort of trying to make these mountains look jacked and eerie.

I am just adding a thin glaze to lightest highlights with the Permanent Magenta to indicate color reflection from the sphere.

I am just adding a few highligts here and there.

Almost done.

Last layer of primary cyan.

Aaaaand done!

Thank you for watching!

Signs He's Getting Serious About You - Duration: 3:42.

Wondering if your man is getting serious about your relationship?

The good news is that when it comes to figuring out whether or not your relationship could

be the real deal, there are some clear-cut signs that let you know if your man's in it

for the long haul — or if he's going to haul out real soon.

The future

One of the major signs that your man is getting serious about your relationship is that he's

initiated conversations about your future as a couple.

For instance, if he's talked about going on a trip together, celebrating far-off holidays

with one another, or even imagined what it will be like when you're married someday.

A tell-tale sign that he's serious about where things are heading is that he's making an

effort to include you in his future plans.

As Dr. Scott Stanley wrote for Psychology Today, many men try to avoid conversations

about where the relationship is going due to lack of interest, a fear of commitment,

or uncertain feelings about, well — you.

However, when your man is openly discussing what lies ahead for both of you, rest assured

he's serious about you and your relationship.

His parents

Another sign that he's clearly serious about your relationship is that he wants you to

meet his family.

In fact, a survey by Monarch Airlines of 2,000 men and women revealed that the number one

indicator that your relationship is serious is that you've met your partner's parents.

By making the introduction, he's not only hoping to reveal a more intimate and lesser-known

side of himself, but he's also stating to his parents as well as to you that your relationship

is something special.

An open book

As Dr. Barton Goldsmith pointed out in Psychology Today, one of the top signs that a man is

serious about your relationship is his willingness to be open and honest with you.

When he shares his true feelings and desires with you, is forthright about his past, and

takes the opportunity to confide in you about personal issues, he's actually showing you

just how seriously he takes you as his partner.

After all, honesty is one of the cornerstones of a deep, meaningful, and long-lasting relationship.

It means he's hoping to build an emotional connection and strengthen the bond that the

two of you share.

Digital world

Another important indicator that your guy is really into your relationship is that he

wants to incorporate you into his digital world.

As Dr. Peggy Drexler blogged for Huff Post, when your man openly shares his personal passwords

with you, he's showing you that he trusts you and sees the two of you having long-term

potential.

He may also choose to incorporate you into his social media presence by posting pictures

of you together, or he may create a shared calendar for your upcoming events.

Whatever the case may be, these seemingly small actions are actually huge indicators

that he's invested.

A key

Another sign that he's getting serious is if he gives you a key to his place.

Not only is this an indicator that he fully trusts you and can depend on you, but it represents

just how much he sees you as a part of his life in the long-term.

It's clear that he wants you around whenever possible, and this simple gesture also shows

that he's at ease with you in his private and personal space — even when he's not

there.

Mutual friends

A tell-tale sign that he's in it to win it, is that he not only wants you to meet his

friends, but he wants to meet yours as well.

The mere act of introducing you to his friends enables him to see how you fit in and handle

yourself around his squad — and whether this could become a regular occurrence in

the future.

By getting to know your friends as well, he can see just how well you truly fit together

as a long-term couple.

Left behind

Wondering if your man is all in?

According to The Dating Jungle, check your medicine cabinet.

Whether it's a toothbrush, phone charger, or complete change of clothes, leaving even

the smallest things at your place can actually be a big step toward increasing your connection

and intimacy with one another.

This action signifies that he not only trusts you and wants to integrate himself into your

life in a personal way, but that he wants to be a steady presence in it.

When he leaves things behind, he's not going anywhere soon.

Celebrities Who Married Terrible People - Duration: 3:49.

Even beautiful and talented celebrities aren't immune from tying the knot with people who

end up being pretty terrible, or were terrible in retrospect.

Here are a few stars who made a major commitment to folks who later proved to be problematic.

Jennifer Lopez

J-Lo's first husband, Ojani Noa, tried to cash in on his connection to his famous ex

after the pair divorced in 1998.

In 2006, Lopez sued him to prevent him from publishing a tell-all book about their relationship,

alleging that it violated a confidentiality agreement.

He was forced to pay Lopez more than half-a-million dollars and give her all hard copies and materials

related to the book.

He didn't learn his lesson: In 2015, Noa tried to release stills from an intimate honeymoon

video featuring Lopez in a new book written by his business partner, but she sued them

over it, and it never materialized.

Tina Turner

Ike Turner helped propel Anna Mae Bullock to superstardom when he took her under his

wing and changed her stage name to Tina Turner.

Unfortunately, with his tutelage and musical genius came reported domestic abuse, which

Tina detailed in her memoir, I, Tina, later dramatized in the film What's Love Got to

Do With It.

Before divorcing Ike in 1976, Tina claimed his abuse was so severe that at one point,

he broke her jaw.

He also kept all their profits as a musical duo.

"He kept everything.

He always said, 'When you leave, you'll leave like you came.'"

Britney Spears

Pop star Britney Spears may have dodged a bullet when she annulled her ultra-brief marriage

to childhood friend Jason Alexander.

The pair were married for just 55 hours in 2004, but by 2012, he still wasn't over it,

griping to ABC News that "nice guys finish last" when she announced her engagement to

then-manager Jason Trawick.

In February 2016, court documents obtained by Us Weekly revealed that Alexander spent

four months behind bars on domestic violence charges in 2015, pleading guilty to a count

of felony assault.

Mel B

Former Spice Girls member Melanie "Mel B" Brown filed for divorce from estranged husband

Stephen Belafonte in 2017 after more than a decade together.

She accused Belafonte of physically abusing her throughout their marriage, alienating

her from her family, cheating on her with their nanny, and sexually exploiting her for

her money.

Belafonte denied all of those claims to TMZ.

Their divorce was finalized in December 2017.

Kathy Griffin

When controversial comedian Kathy Griffin married software entrepreneur Matthew Moline

in 2001, it seemed like a cute match.

But Griffin filed for divorce in 2005, and the reason for the breakup was sad and sketchy.

The former My Life on the D-List star told Larry King in 2006:

"My ex-husband, without my knowledge, was sneaking into my wallet when I was asleep

in the mornings and taking my ATM cards of my own private accounts and withdrawing money."

Griffin says he admitted it and apologized, but they were never able to get beyond the

trust issue.

Ali Landry

Mario Lopez may be charming on TV, but he seems like a bit of a cad in real life, at

least when he was married to model and actress Ali Landry.

Lopez confessed to cheating on Landry during his bachelor party just days before their

wedding in 2004.

He told Howard Stern in 2011,

"That was a situation where I was not mature enough and not man enough.

I had no business being in that position."

In his memoir, Just Between Us, released three years later, Lopez wrote that he was never

in love with her in the first place.

"I got inebriated and a little too friendly with a young lady.

When it was time to return home, lightning hit me with the truth: I wasn't in love."

"I just felt like everything crashed down on top of me, and that process was also like

mourning a death."

(ENG CC) 세상 감동적인 뮤직비디오 세븐틴- 고맙다 || SEVENTEEN - Thanks M/V Reaction - Duration: 8:09.

I go outside and shoot now, but the weather in Seoul is very cold.

Wear it warmly.

So, today

Seventeen made a comeback with a new song in three months.

What was the last song

It was 'Clap'

I think the last song didn't have the color of Seventeen. (in my opinion.)

My favorite song is

'pretty'

'I do not want to cry'

'very nice'

'Adore u'.

'Adore u' had a very good performance.

'pretty' too.

The song is fresh

I like this feeling of Seventeen.

So, what is the feeling of releasing today?

Actually, I didn't see a teaser either.

I did not see anything to watch the music video when hit 6 o'clock.

I did not see a teaser or anything.

I didn't even know what the song was.

It is one minute before 6 o'clock.

It's a moment of trembling.

So now it's on Seventeen's YouTube channel.

Expecting so much

it's hit 6 o'clock perfect!!!

Refreshing

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH

Now, let's settle down for second

Let's me turn on Seventeen's brand new music video called 'Thanks'

Let's enjoy it together.

The intro is very powerful.

It's on the bus at first.

Now the in cafeteria

I saw that they're held the meeting.

Recording

Dancing

OH! I LOVE THE SONG!!!

The climax rose and suddenly became silent.

Super lov'in

It's so good till now

The color of the M/V is so prefect .

The best of all!!

THE BEST OF ALL!!!

Choreography are so..

Choreography is so coooool.

Are they really Seventeen?

I mean..

The made a comeback with go next level.

I was so surprised that I couldn't get my mouth shut.

LOVIN IT

Right now, I'm having goose bump from head to toe.

Choreography is too good.

I do not think I can imitate it.

As you know Seventeen has a fantastic performance like this

Seventeen has their own parts.... like Rap, Vocal, Choreograph.

Freakin cooool

It is not Seventeen that I knew.

Wow, it's really moving.

I've been listening to Seventeen's song "Thank you."

It is really cool.

Continuous "wow"

It was the first time getting a goose bump when I watching a music video.

I will just express it in one word.

It was perfect

Music, Choreography, Performance

The beauty of the video

It is a music video that even grows up to the members' ability.

I felt like I was watching a short but touching movie right now.

When I saw it, the story did not look correctly.

In the bus

Choreographer

Recording

Meeting at the cafeteria.

I saw this, but I could not think of the story.

Every single scene is artistic

and touching

Choreography is also very touching.

Despite the fact that this dance is a lot of power

I felt moved my mind

My heart ran fast.

It is really cool.

Originally it was the appearance of the boy,

Now they has shown its growth them self.

Whatever the story are

It seemed that every one of the expressions that acted was all care In detail.

This album is so great.

Music video seems so perfect.

I'll see it again.

It is rising from the intro of the song.

In the climax part, poof

Quietly

I like song arrangements too.

To be honest, I did not hear the lyrics

I've been watching a music video called Seventeen's Thanks

How to Repopulate a Species Using Psychology - Duration: 8:26.

**MUSIC**

Today, I'm going to tell you a story.

The story of the miraculous recovery of a species nearly wiped out here.

The story of ingenious combination of both biology and psychology.

The story of the Murres of Devil's Slide.

>> ALEX: Hey guys, I'm here at Devil's Slide in Northern California, let's get

technical.

Devil's Slide is a place on the coast of San Mateo, a bit south of San Francisco.

It's a promontory, which means it's elevated land which steeply drops into even lower land

or water.

Until it was relocated to this tunnel, this trail right here actually used to be a highway.

People would actually drive next to these crazy steep rocks.

A matter of fact, that's how Devil's Slide got its name: because of the many huge rockslides

that would happen on that road.

So, that's comforting.

One of the best parts of Devil's Slide is it's home to tons of mind-blowing wildlife,

from Peregrine Falcons to Humpback Whales to California Sea Lions to...

Common Murres.

Yea, I know they may not seem as cool as Peregrine Falcons, but trust me, they are just as interesting,

if not more so.

See, before the 1980s, Devil's Slide was filled with murres; they'd all hang out

on this rock, Devil's Slide Rock, also known as Egg Rock, which is the greatest name for

a rock I think I've ever heard.

In 1980, 2,900 breeding murres resided at Devil's Slide Rock, so can you guess how

many murres were there in 1988, just 8 years later?

Maybe it went up a bit, to around 3,500?

Maybe it went down a bit, to 2,500?

Actually, it dropped to 0.

There were no murres at Devil's Slide Rock from 1988 to 1995.

Granted, rangers occasionally saw a couple murres here and there, but they never saw

more than 9 and never for a sustained period of time.

Why did murres suffer a local extinction?

2 factors!

First, from the late 70s to mid 80s, many murres died in gill nets from a nearby fishery.

Second, in early 1986, an oil barge owned by the Apex Houston Company accidently spilled

26,000 gallons of oil while traveling from San Francisco to Long Beach Harbour.

This massive oil spill killed 9,900 birds in total, 6,300 of which were murres.

After the oil spill, the Apex Houston Company had to pay 6.4 million dollars because

of a settlement in a federal and state lawsuit.

4.9 million dollars of that sellement, a little over 75%, went to restoring the murre population,

or, more specifically, it went to a council made up of the USFWS, the NOAA, and the CDFG.

I thought saying just their acronyms would be faster and cleaner, but I'm now realizing

that that's probably not the case.

So, I've gotta challenge for you.

Let's say you work at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and you are given 4.9 million

dollars to restore the murre population: What do you do?

Maybe you raise a colony in a zoo and then slowly reintroduce them to the wild?

Maybe you try your best to preserve the land and make it as suitable to murres as possible?

Well, the USFWS did none that.

They instead invested in murre decoys, CD players, and mirrors.

They knew that murres were social animals, and that there were still plenty of murres

in existence, they just weren't living at Devil's Slide Rock.

If the scientists could provide social cues to signal to rest of the murres that Devil's

Slide Rock is hoping, that it's the place to be, they predicted they could repopulate

the area.

This concept is known as social attraction.

Biology and psychology combined.

So they scatter hundreds of decoy murres all around Devil's Slide Rock, featuring...

Standing murres!

Incubating murres!

Murre eggs!

And Murre chicks!

I couldn't find pictures of the last two, so I drew them *cracks up*

That's a spicy meat-a-ball.

As I said, they also implemented 3-sided mirrors, which also created the illusion that there

were more murres on the rock, but they also had the advantage of being able to capture

motion.

If a real murre is on the rock and walking around, the mirrors will reflect that, making

them seem ever more realistic than decoys.

Finally, the USFWS added 4 speakers across the rock to simulate what an active murre

colony would sound like.

The recording they played was of Farallon National Wildlife Refuge in May 1995, and

contained the sounds of thousands of murres.

Boobadaboo!

Boobadabee!

These are the layouts of where they placed the thingies!

The goal out of all the social attraction equipment wasn't just to get murres back

on Devil's Slide Rock, but it was also to get murres mating.

It basically went down like this:

>> MURRE 1: Ayy whatup I see that tons of Murres are over here!

>> MURRE 2: Nah they're just mirrors and decoys, it's just a prank bro.

>> 1: Ahh you got me.

Ha ha.

>> 2: Ha ha

>> 1: Ahh ahh oooh.

>> 2: Ha ha let's make some babies.

So the big question now is: did they work?

The answer: OOOH YES, they worked so much better than expected.

The social attraction equipment was placed on the rock in January 1996, and it took just

one day for a murre to come back.

Yes, it was just 1 murre, but remember, the rock had been barren for many many moons before

the social attraction equipment, so 1 bird was a big deal.

The next day, 4 murres were reported, and it kept growing and growing.

Here's a graph of the Number of Murres vs The Date in 1996 (mostly), and, uhh, can you

guess when they implemented the social attraction equipment?

Yea, riiiiiight there.

Quick side note right here, this sharp drop off at the end is a result of it being the

end of murre attendance for the season, so this wasn't the murres abondanding Devil's

Slide Rock again, it was more than expected.

The social attraction equipment worked so well that, in just 5 years, the USFWD reached

their 10 year goal of a hundred breeding pairs.

They removed the social attraction equipment in 2004 because the colony became self-stuantaning,

and, up to this day, Devil's Slide Rock's common murre population is back to where it

was before the local extinction.

*awkward pointing* So, do you wanna utilize social attraction to restore a colony of murres

near you?

Yes?

Why?

*look off screen when talking to Musk* But seriously, let's just pretend Elon Musk

comes up to you on the street and he's like, "Yo, Alex," uhh, how does he know my name?

"Yo, Alex, now that I'm done building flamethrowers, I've suddenly become very

passionate about restoring seabird populations.

Can you help?"

And I can say, "Elon ol' boy, what an oddly specific request, but yes, I can,"

and after this bit, you can too.

*awkward smile pause* Here's 6 things researchers learned are important to have when implementing

social attraction after studying it at Devil's Slide.

I should probably think of a shorter title.

One!

The sooner you start social attraction after a local extinction, the better.

You want to attract as many birds who were also members of the former colony as possible.

Two!

The best time to install social attraction equipment is before the breeding season.

Make sure your birdies have enough time to come to the site and pick a partner before

it's time to mate.

In this case, January was picked because it's right after November and December, when the

murres come back to central California, while still leaving plenty of time, like several

months, before mating season.

Three!

Give your birds choices; as in, make sure you have areas of low-decoy-density and high-decoy-density

so the birds can pick which they like best.

Don't just put tons of decoys everywhere or make them all far apart equally, you wanna

mix it up.

Four!

Even in high-decoy density groups, make sure you leave space for the birds, to, well, actually

come and live.

If you're rock is just filled with decoys and you leave no space for the actual birds,

well, congrats you got a rock full of decoys my friend.

Five!

Mirrors are helpful!

I mean, the section of the study actually says, "Provide mirrors in open spaces among

decoys to enhance apparent numbers and movements of birds," but all I get from that is Mirrors

are helpful!

Six!

Look at the density of where the birds used to nest, and try to match that with the decoys.

The logic here is that previously dense spots on the rock should be dense with decoys to

let birds and chicks who previously lived there know that they should return to those

areas that, in the past, were quality.

As a note to end on, here's a couple of the concluding sentences in the study documenting

this whole thing: "While social attraction equipment and monitoring efforts can be costly

in certain circumstances, this project has demonstrated its efficacy for seabird restoration

purposes....

Natural recolonization at Devil's Slide Rock probably would not have occurred for

decades or centuries, if at all, without effective use of social attraction techniques."

I know that murres aren't the most click-baity of topics, but I found it interesting, so,

if you did too, it would mean a lot if you subscribe, hit that like button, and shared

Dodge Super Bowl Ad Featuring MLK's Voice Angers Viewers - Duration: 0:57.

A Dodge commercial that played during the Super Bowl Sunday night didn't go over well

with some viewers.

The carmaker used part of a speech by Martin Luther King Jr. as the voiceover for its ad

for the Ram truck series.

The sermon is known as "The Drum Major Instinct," and it was delivered on Feb. 4, 1968 — exactly

50 years before Super Bowl LII.

Dodge, which is owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, says it got approval from the King estate

to use the speech in its commercial.

The managing director of the estate, which also handles the licensing of King's intellectual

property, said in a statement,

The King estate is separate from The King Center, a nonprofit organization founded by

the civil rights leader's wife.

The center distanced itself from the ad Sunday night.

5 Ways To Eliminate Behaviors That Are Killing Your Spirit - Duration: 6:21.

5 Ways To Eliminate Behaviors That Are Killing Your Spirit

By consciousreminder

In this world of ups and downs and highs and lows, how often have you stopped feeling good

about yourself?

Do you ever think everyone is doing better than you?

And some mornings you might even find yourself wondering why you should bother getting up.

You know doing something will make you feel better, but you just dont know what that

is.

And before too long you find yourself in a downward spiral; you dont know how to get

back on track and its killing your spirit.

It doesnt matter if its your business success, financial success, or relationship

success, once that spiral of negativity and despondency begins so does the negative, critical

voice in your head that just wont shut up.

It makes it nigh impossible to step into the mindset that keeps you UP when life is bringing

you DOWN.

And worse, any self-esteem you had begins to swirl its way down the drain of despair.

So what should you do?

You cant simply sit there pondering the unfairness of life while your doubts and fears

continue to wreak havoc.

Instead, lets eradicate the behavior thats responsible for killing your spirit.

1.

THE BIGGEST HURDLE You want to live in such a way that you get

whatever it is you truly need.

Right?

Yet, a huge part of your life is spent imagining the worst that can happen and the consequences

that lead to more misery and less success in the areas that are important to you.

Its time you stepped back from your fears and worries, and realize that one of the biggest

hurdles to overcome is not what you fear but the very fact that you are afraid.

Being afraid leads you to take actions that you would never take were you occupying a

mindset of confidence and the expectancy of something great happening.

Sometimes you just have to feel scared and take action anyway.

Itll either work or it wont.

Thats how you grow.

2.

FORGET JUSTIFICATION You are a force to be reckoned with and you

dont deserve to allow your setbacks, regrets or mistakes to punish you forever.

Give yourself a break and remember that one of the challenges of pursuing the life that

you want is that there is simply no competition.

Your life will never get better because somebody else failed.

Nor will it get worse because somebody else succeeded.

Its critical for your long-term happiness that you see contentment and success only

in personal terms.

The choices you make today will guide you towards your future.

Dont fear judgment from others.

Theres no need to justify yourselfyou will be living with the future you create.

Its up to them to create their own.

3.

SWITCH YOUR MANUFACTURING UNIT Everyone has a fantastic manufacturing unit,

chugging along merrilywell not always merrilysometimes its chugging along miserably.

Its this manufacturing unit that we use to create suffering in our life.

Its called a mind!

And the biggest problem is that when it has no direction from you, it changes directions

every moment.

Imagine if you walked somewhere and kept changing your direction every couple of steps, the

chances of you getting to where you wanted to go would bewell remoteunless it happened

accidentally.

And living life accidentally with all that entails makes no sense when you can live it

on purpose.

4.

KEEP THESE POINTS IN MIND You want to eradicate the behavior that kills

your spirit, dont you?

So:

1.

Be conscious of what youre thinking.

Your future is being created with the thoughts youre thinking right now.

2.

Change your reactions to any current experiences that arent going your way.

If youre struggling with money, or career or within a relationship; if youre sick

or looking for a job or a lasting love, dont waste your time fighting against anything,

or feeling sorry for yourself.

Instead:

3.

Set up a daily inner creating time, free from the usual demands and distractions

of life.

This is where you begin to switch your manufacturing unit away from misery and towards gladness.

This is the place where you fan the inner sparks of possibility into the full-blown

fires of success.

4.

Wait for it to happen.

You might doubt that anything is changing.

You may feel discouraged and you can be sure your old mindset will try to fool you by insisting

nothing will happen.

Dont listen.

Reality is a process, a continuous happening, always changing.

And your newly created thoughts and ideas, if persisted in, will become your new reality.

Your life will change naturally, you will change naturally, so relax and enjoy your

creating time.

5.

BEAUTIFY YOUR INNER WORLD AND YOULL STOP KILLING YOUR SPIRIT

Do your best to beautify the words you speak to yourself, and fill your inner world with

light, love, and joyfulness.

And as you elevate your inner game you are creating a firm connection of heart, mind,

and spirit in your world.

And dont allow anyone or anything to rob you of your inner joy.

Be your own best friend, be true to yourself and your desires.

Youll discover life will respond in kind.

Its what it does!

The creation of something new in your world cant be accomplished by the intellect alone,

but by the peace and expectations, you carry within.

A peaceful life stems from a peaceful heart.

Practice compassion towards yourself and others, and you will soon see that glimmer of a new

world ahead of you.

Honor 9 Lite - the "Premium" budget phone - Duration: 6:58.

this is the honor 9 lite the phone that tries to disrupt the mid-range

market with cutthroat pricing and create specs on people the nine lights USP six

five point six five which nearly bacillus eighty this 9 aspect ratio this

link and quad cameras but under the rupees 50000 price category you already

have some great folks like the Xiaomi me a1 the owner 7x and the Moto G 5s plus

so is the 9 light better than these phones hi I'm Ershad and this is my review

of the owner 9 light but before we jump into our review don't forget to

subscribe to our channel for more such awesome tech videos and also hit the

bell like it if you want to be notified about them it doesn't happen often that

I place a phone on the table and at least four people stop in their tracks

take a look at it I especially love the blue color of the phone the glass

infused body with its 2.5 D curved design on both the rear and the front

makes the on a9 light look super premium almost like a piece of expensive jewelry

unfortunately the Miller finished glass back attracts a lot of smudges on the

flip side since honor uses of five point six five inch display with an aspect

ratio of 18 is to nine like I mentioned before and trim bezels all around it is

easy to use with one hand even the fingerprint scanner is placed at a

convenient location the railing is made of plastic instead of metal although

that's not really a bad thing and I don't see a reason to complain and

around 149 grams the night light does justice to its name by actually being

light this adds to its overall economics the power button and the volume rocker

after it attacked iron and offer a satisfying click sound when pressed

additionally you get a hybrid symmetry which means that you will have to

sacrifice one SIM card in case you want to add extra storage space with a micro

SD card overall I can say without an iota of a doubt under the peace 20,000

beyond a nine light is probably the best-looking smartphone the online light

follows the trend of tall smartphone displays with an Alienist 9 aspect ratio

the lights 5.6 5 inch LCD display offers a

full HD plus resolution I felt the display quality to be

top-notch from accurate touch response to impressive brightness levels the 9

less display impresses through-and-through the software's auto

brightness settings worked really well and detected the ambient light that I'll

be pretty accurately one of the viewing angles are good too with absolutely no

discoloration happening at any angle honors very own emui skin has gently

polarized user opinions some like it some hate it

however I can say this with certainly that honor has added speed improvements

to the emu eye over the years and interestingly the honor 9 light comes

with emui 8.0 on top of Android Oreo which is also found on it's more

expensive brethren the view 10 I'd like to break down my thoughts on emu eye on

what's cool and what's not what's cool in on an eye on light is that you can do

a universal search across the phone just like Apple's iOS by merely swiping down

on the home screen fingerprint gestures are also really cool swipe down on the

fingerprint scanner to pull down the notifications or swipe left and right to

browse images in the stock candy app also the app to end mode allows you to

run two instances of the same app the only downside is that currently supports

only a few third-party apps like Facebook and whatsapp one other

interesting addition is definitely the fact that the default phone app gives

you access to notes and calendar during a call which is definitely neat what's

not cool is duplication of apps for example there are two apps to view

photos gallery and Google Photos similarly you also get honors own music

app and Google Play Music bundle by default

additionally there are so many third-party apps that your phone feels

cluttered the moment you switch it on thankfully most of these can be deleted

in the end despite being a fan of stock Android I can see that on a nine lights

emu I was actually a satisfying experience the on a nine light comes

with quad cameras like I mentioned before two cameras on the rear and two

cameras on the front the secondary camera in both the scenarios is actually

used to shoot portrait shots before I jump into the actual quality of the

images let's talk a little bit about the default camera

the camera app is chock-a-block with features from an extensive manual mode

to light painting owner believes in giving control to the end user which is

a great thing in fact honor also provides a pro video

mode that's actually unheard off in a phone that's priced under rupees twenty

thousand please check my video where I compared the me a once camera for a full

word of what I think about the nine lights camera to sum up that video the

nine light captures good shots with well saturated colors and decent dynamic

range in free light conditions but it struggles to offer the level of details

compared to me a1 shooters also the portrait mode is mostly a mess however

the selfie camera is kick-ass and probably captures the best

self-portraits in this price range the 1080p video captured by the camera was

pretty man with plenty of underexposed areas and no voice or EIS means that

videos are bound to be shaky when you move around moving on the 9 light comes

with Ana's homegrown Canon 965 SOC and in dual Ram / storm combinations the 3gb

of ram variant comes to a 32 gigs of RAM and 4gb of RAM comes in 64 GB of

internal storage this chipset is no slouch and goes

head-to-head against the Snapdragon 625 floating me Avon in case you care about

numbers I managed to log and antutu score of 60,000 383 which is almost

similar to me even even in daily usage the phone doesn't disappoint really

there are very few occasional hang-ups here and there but in most scenarios the

9 light sales through and through gaming is also a fairly enjoyable

experience asphalt 8 ran without hiccups albiet with slightly downgraded graphics

although less graphically intensive games like Streets of Rage and retro

shooting played like a charm on the phone I don't like the single speaker at

the bottom though it sounds pretty thin and dimming furthermore the sound

quality through earphones was pretty average - on the flipside the audio

quality through the earpiece is top-notch I actually expected honor to

deliver with good call quality and the company does not disappoint

the owner 9 lies 3000 mah battery didn't live up to my expectation it barely

lasts an entire day on a single charge I got an average screen on time of around

3 hours and 30 minutes on heavy usage you might need a power bank on you at

all times under rupees 50,000 the honour 9 light

is actually a great option for most users it's got a good display it's got a

great design it's got a DC chips at under debt and it's also got

great selfie cameras what's not to like having said that in this price category

the nine light is merely an additional choice and not exactly an outright

winner because I still think that the VA one has a slight edge over it but you

know who doesn't mind having too many options in hand

hi I'm Ershad and I hope you liked my review of the on a nine light until next time

this is me signing off tugga
