Waching daily Jul 1 2018

- Hey! Hey!

Hey, have you heard the gossip on Hashgraph?

- Of course, I'm the Gossip Guy.

I have all the gossip on Hashgraph.

Welcome back for another

Weekly Gossip in Hashgraph.

Mark your calendars for Hedara18.

Hashgraph goes back to school.

Bringing Hashgraph to Cryptoland.

Plus some other interesting updates

from the world powered by Hashgraph.

With all this said, let's begin.

What is he talking about?

And who am I?

That's a secret you obviously know.

You know you like me.

Hashgraph Hashgraph.

Hi everyone, it's the Gossip Guy,

and I have some good gossip for you this week.

First, as I covered in last week's episode,

and probably some of the biggest news

coming from Hedera Hashgraph,

is the announcement of Hedera18.

As a recap, Hedera18 is

the inaugural Hashgraph Developer Conference

set to take place in Dallas, Texas,

on October 15th through the 17th.

Accompanying this conference

will be a distributed global hackathon,

or Hackathon18,

that will be taking place in

four major cities around the world.

This includes Tel Aviv, Israel,

Singapore, Sao Paolo, Brazil,

and London, England.

Also, we learned more about this event

via a special announcement made by

Hashgraph inventor himself,

Dr. Leemon Baird,

that had circulated on YouTube.

This is obviously an exciting development,

and should provide a cornerstone event

for the community to come together

and learn more about the Hedera Hashgraph platform

and for developers to gather further resources

and tools before the public launch,

set to take place in 2019.

Plus, those that participate in the hackathon

will also gain access to

the Hedera Hashgraph testnet,

which will be provided even after

the event is completed.

If you're interested in attending the conference,

you can go to the Hedera18 website

in order to register,

and for further information.

One small note,

there's a cost associated with this event,

which is pretty typical

for a conference of this size.

However, the hackathon will be free

for all those that participate,

and there's special arrangements for students

and promo codes floating around.

Myself, the Gossip Guy, will be in attendance,

and I've also been in correspondence

with the Hedera Hashgraph team,

regarding doing some content

and coverage from the event.

Thus, I look forward to seeing many of you

in the community that will attend the event,

and I hope we can gossip more about Hashgraph.

Also, as a fun fact,

this happens to be the 18th episode

of my Weekly Gossip in Hashgraph series,

so I thought it was suiting

to talk about Hedera18.

Next, Hashgraph goes back to school

with an interview on Dapp University,

made by Ken Anderson,

the lead developer advocate for Hedera Hashgraph.

As an introduction,

Dapp University is an emerging website

and YouTube channel,

focused on dAPP development

within the distributed ledger space,

and provides educational-focused content.

This was an interesting interview,

as it focused on the development

of the Hedera Hashgraph platform

and the resources created to further support

developers creating dAPPs on top of Hashgraph.

If you're a developer,

or just curious about dAPP development on Hashgraph,

or the Hedera Hashgraph platform overall,

I recommend that you watch this video.

However, as I've done before for other videos,

I thought to compile a summary

over some of the interesting points

that I've took away from this interview.

The interview starts with Ken's introduction

to the Hashgraph Consensus Algorithm,

and the Hereda Hashgraph platform overall,

which, at this point,

I think many of you might be familiar with.

However, Ken notes,

this summer the team will be releasing

the APIs associated with Hedera Hashgraph,

and some developers will be selected

to join limited versions of the testnets.

All communications regarding this will be

conducted via the developer's Discord server,

and Ken notes that developers selected

to register for the testnet

will be subjected to due diligence,

which is mainly done as a precaution

by the Hedera Hashtag team

until the testing environment

is fully trustless.

Once gaining access to the testnet,

those dAPPS being developed will be

also registered on an internal marketplace.

All those with projects officially announced

announced within the Hashgraph ecosystem

will also have their own private

versions of the testnets,

starting mid to late summer.

Another interesting item,

and we've heard before,

but the testnet will also be

open to the community members

to participate in testing

which will include developers

testing some of the technical aspects

of the platform,

but Ken notes that there will be

a series of end user testing,

which may be something less technical users

might consider getting involved with.

For example, sending transactions between wallets.

Lastly, anyone interested in

gaining access to the testnet

or participating in these tests,

should register their interest

on the Hedera Hashgraph website.

Like I said before,

this was a great interview,

so I recommend that you go check it out.

Okay, next up, we go to Cryptoland,

a community of developers in Cluj-Napoca, Romania,

where myself, the Gossip Guy,

had the opportunity to present on

Who's Using Hashgraph?

Thanks to the growing Hashgraph community,

I was invited to speak to the Cryptoland community

by Hashgraph Ambassador, Alex Males.

If you don't know,

Cluj-Napoca is the fourth-largest city in Romania,

and is also considered the unofficial capital

of the Transylvania region.

It's also home to Romania's largest university,

and has a community of close to 15,000

system engineers and developers,

giving Cluj-Napoca a vibrant population

of IT professionals.

Cryptoland is a tech-driven community

set up for those interested in blockchain,

and other distributed ledger technologies.

Essentially, Cryptoland provides an opportunity

for software engineers and product people

to easily collaborate, partner,

and share knowledge around emerging technologies.

As part of a recent meet-up,

Cryptoland hosted a Smart Contract workshop

that also featured Hashgraph.

Now, unfortunately,

the Gossip Guy wasn't able to go to Romania,

so I presented via teleconference,

starting off with the overview

of the Hashgraph Consensus Algorithm,

the Hedera Hashgraph platform,

which was all followed by

an overview of the Hashgraph ecosystem.

I used this as an opportunity

to highlight some of the emerging projects

announced within the Hashgraph ecosystem,

which included Mingo, Carbon,

and, of course, Satori.

I wrapped things up with an overview

of some resources for developers,

which also included some content that I'd done.

Following my presentation,

Alex presented a thorough and detailed

walkthrough of the Hashgraph Consensus Algorithm,

that provided insights into the core benefits

of this emerging technology.

Alex also ran a live coding session,

and provided examples of Smart Contracts

in order to see Hashgraph in action.

I unfortunately didn't record

any video from this event,

however you can check out the presentations

that both Alex and myself presented,

which I've shared in the links down below.

This was a really great opportunity

to connect with the Cryptoland

community in Romania,

and I really appreciated the invite to present

by Alex and community co-founder Adrian,

so thank you for that.

If you're curious to learn more about Cryptoland,

or interested in building something similar

in your local community,

I've left links down below

where you can go for further information.

Now on to some other updates,

but pretty notable to say the less.

First up, Rightory,

a rights-management software solution

for media, content and branding,

announced their plans to launch exclusively

on the Hedera Hashgraph public network.

The Rightory platform enables users

to upload brand assets and rights data,

which are then associated

with specific intellectual property.

Rightory verifies ownership and records them

to the Hedera Hashgraph publish ledger,

enabling users on the platform to sell

or license assets via the Rightory marketplace.

This project looks to be

in the very early stages of development,

so we'll have to be on lookout for further information.

However, according to the press release,

Roy Malkin is the CEO of Rightory,

and is also the co-founder of Venture Aviator,

which is a software development firm

that has been pretty active already

within the Hashgraph developer community.

Thus, with all this said,

let's welcome Rightory into the Hashgraph ecosystem.

Next, announced this week,

Hedera Hashgraph has joined the Trusted IOT Alliance,

which is an open source software consortium

that aims to create secure, scalable

and interoperable solutions within

the Internet of Things ecosystem.

As a member of the Alliance,

Hedera will work with Fortune 500 companies

and start-up members to leverage the

Hashgraph Consensus Algorithm

to secure and scale IOT ecosystems.

Hedera Hashgraph is also joined in the Alliance

by several other notable DLT platforms.

It looks like the Hedera Hashgraph team

has already been working with

the Trusted IOT Alliance testnet,

so it will be interesting to see

what further developments come out of this.

And lastly, as a community update,

The Hedera Hashgraph Telegram channel

recently reached over 40,000 members.

This is certainly a notable milestone

as the Hashgraph community continues to grow.

So that's it,

that's all the gossip that I have for you this week.

I hope you found this video to be informative,

and, if so, be sure to leave a like

or a comment down below.

I'm really excited for Hedera18,

as this is gonna serve as an opportunity

for many of us in the community to get together.

Speaking of community,

and if you wanna continue the gossip

related to Hashgraph,

be sure to join us on the Gossip Groups

Discord server that was recently launched.

We've already had some pretty insightful discussions

amongst some of the members in the community,

so I hope you can join us.

And if you haven't done so already,

be sure to subscribe in order to stay posted

on further developments coming from

the world powered by Hashgraph.

This is the Gossip Guy signing out.

Thanks for watching.

some solo laps cause.. uhm..

Nico got some tubeless issues.. 3rd time today

got an oldschool tube setup

not the best damping but it works

sick!

sh!t one more wave would have been nice

woah thanks dude you're the best! - yeah I'm the best!

they don't run a patch kit in their bike shop... - good range huh?

"we only got tubes .. or else we could also run a mech hanger for every bike type"

I should have said you just want to sell the damn expensive tubes...

haha funny stuff

at the same place as the other one?

nah that's the one I got in chatel

got another one

new line!

oh sh...

I was stuck

you allright?

couldn't brake... - saw that.. me neither

haha flat

k

yey!

uh oh.. better not manual here

you can just roll out of the stand

thought so

I got so loose up there!

I saw it! at least... well there was some greenery in the way

lets ride bikes!

lets see

just follow

yeah I guess.. like always

ok.. wow - did you slide there?

this is scary! if it's wet I'm out

k... .. that was really easy

if it's a little bit wet in the morning this wood is dangerous

you were sliding even now didn't you?

yeah don't know why..

nice riding dude!

there it is

pretty unspectacular..

wait a sec your buddy crashed...

he alive?

lets wait and see - bars twisted - that's normal for him - and the brake was in this direction

oh okay... - but he was alright..

at least he can ride

show me how does it feel?

brake is alright but it's... crooked..

so ergonomic!

haha not at all!

no leverage anymore

at least you can't slip a finger..

winterberg day 2!

only thing that can stop us is this road and that car there!

what's wrong?

you know what? I don't want to try tubeless anymore...

you know what? .. today I don't wanna too...

probably because of the run down tyre but if you know me I always run tyres like that.. ok not today but still

that's it for me

I prefer less grip and a system that works

this was so fast! - unreal!... - you were rolling so fast

will it work? nah

tyre still deforming even with 3 bar

that was slow..

yeah a little bit slow

manual time?

yeah nice!

haha wooow..

saw that?

?

got clinched hard

3..2..1..

I think that was sick!

wow I overdid it a little bit

flatted it... - last or prenultimate jump? - prenultimate

haha the beginner leg.. or what does he call it? dodgy leg? nah.. dunno..

now the dumb part

so much work.. still no fun

now imagine wet wood...

where?

turn it

tubelessproblem: nr 3400

dude scary!

too slow!

oh ok nice

always windy here...

that was strange

the sand saved me!

front wheel slipped away into the sand and I thought now I lost it but the grip came back there

woah

nice good job!

almost highsided!

that was close!

that would have hurt..

ew..slamming into the wood..

you had only half a frontwheel in the wood by the looks of it

almost did " the nico "

almost re staged your legendary crash!

this was the race line? yeah

pfffff...... hahahaha

good line - nice one

wow nice! this works

meh

WOOOOW

that was awesome!

your backwheel slid over the edge!

big impact

so good... cleared the whole thing this time

lets call it a day

gets dangerous ...

weather looks nasty if the thunderstorm arrives we won't get back up

oh damn... bikewash?? - nah I won't

would have loved to continue that run

yeah such a good run.. would have been epic

but I saw something flying away and thought my bike broke

that was a stick lying around

ah so that's what I saw

so what about winterberg... ?

nice place? - nice place..

last time we also had a lot of fun

after the first half of the day I thought I'd better went to lac blanc.. but then you warm up nicely

today was also really good

we could have done better on the downhill

think so too

a whole run with things escalating... next time huh? ...next time!

a storm arrives

4x? yeah lets do that

if its too windy lets roll the jumps

not worth it for the last run

look over there! - yeah! looks like it starts soon

Is Liberal Outrage Helping Trump? | The Daily Show - Duration: 4:12.

All week

the big story has been about liberal activists

confronting Trump and his senior officials

over his immigration policies.

But according to some,

this anger is just playing straight

into Trump's enormously small hands.

This is the kind of behavior

that rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

And they say if you're going to attack a president like this

and the... and the people who work for him,

I'm simply going to vote against you.

REPORTER: This may help the Republicans not lose the House.

The more that the-the critics get enraged,

the more they drive people towards President Trump.

It's a complete gift to Donald Trump.

It is helping Donald Trump.

If the Democrats and people on the political left

keep that stuff up,

he gets... it's a slam dunk for Trump.

"Slam dunk for Trump." Wow.

That's a phrase I never thought I'd hear.

The physics just don't seem possible, you know?

But, still, the question is, does liberal outrage at Trump

only drive more people to his side?

Well, for answers, we turn

to our senior civility correspondent,

-Michael Kosta, everybody! -(cheering and applause)

Michael, this is...

this is... this is really confusing.

Well, I know it seems confusing, Trevor,

but those pundits are absolutely right.

It's like when my girlfriend kept accusing me

of wanting to sleep with Karen, you know?

She brought it up so much that, eventually, I slept with Karen.

Again. I had already slept with... I'm not a great person.

I'm just making the point.

Wait, wait, what is the point again?

The point is, like my girlfriend,

all the liberal screaming and shouting

annoys people so much it makes them vote for Trump.

Well, but, wait, isn't there a double standard here, Michael?

I mean, like, the president's supporters want civility,

but he's out there calling people bitches

and-and saying that some women are too ugly to assault.

He's just telling it how it is.

I mean, sorry if it triggers you, but it's funny.

Okay, but then Robert De Niro saying "(bleep) Trump"

at the Tony Awards?

That's crude, okay?

That is crude and disgusting.

If George Washington saw what's become of the Tony Awards,

Trevor, I'm just glad he's dead.

Well, I-I... Here's the thing. I guess I just don't understand

how people could be more offended at language

than policies. You know, like how conservatives flipped out

when Peter Fonda tweeted that Trump's children

should be locked in a cage.

And-and how dare he, Trevor?

How dare Peter Fonda,

the star of Ulee's Gold,

the 123rd top-grossing movie of 1997,

a man with that kind of power,

say the president's child should be locked up?

Yeah, but the president is actually locking up children

-right now. -Uh, yeah. So what?

Sometimes you got to lock kids up.

But to threaten to lock kids up,

I just thank God Abraham Lincoln was shot to death

before he read that tweet.

Okay, but-but just so we're clear,

this is the same side that cheered on Corey Lewandowski

when he mocked a girl with Down syndrome

being taken away from her parents.

Do you even have jokes in Africa, Trevor?

Lewandowski wasn't mocking the girl--

he was mocking people who think a girl with Down syndrome

being separated from her family is sad.

But it is sad.

If you don't think that, you're heartless.

Oh, really, Trevor? You're calling Trump voters heartless?

Guess what, they just got ten more Trump votes right there.

Wait, wait, I just got him ten more votes?

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Oh, and now they're stupid, too?

Now those ten people are definitely voting for Trump.

Didn't you just say that they were already voting for Trump?

(stammers) They might have forgotten.

Those people are kind of stupid.

So, so, let me get this straight.

If liberals criticize Trump, he'll get more votes.

But if they don't do anything, then he wins anyway.

So how can they win the situation?

Don't ask me. I mean, I had a girlfriend and Karen,

and now they've both kicked me out, you know?

I'm just glad Ronald Reagan is too dead to see

this proud American reduced to sleeping in the office

-of his African boss. -Wait, wait...

Wait, you're sleeping in my office?

That's Trevor Noah, everybody!

Tony Stark Expo Speech - Stan Lee Cameo Scene - Iron Man 2 (2010) HD - Duration: 3:59.

Tony! Tony! Tony! Tony!

It's good to be back.

- You missed me? - Blow something up!

I missed you, too. Blow something up? I already did that.

I'm not saying that the world is enjoying

its longest period of uninterrupted peace in years because of me.

I'm not saying that from the ashes of captivity,

never has a greater phoenix metaphor been personified in human history.

I'm not saying that Uncle Sam can kick back on a lawn chair,

sipping on an iced tea

because I haven't come across anyone who's man enough

to go toe-to-toe with me on my best day.

I love you, Tony!

Please, it's not about me.

It's not about you.

It's not even about us. It's about legacy.

It's about what we choose to leave behind for future generations.

And that's why for the next year and for the first time since 1974,

the best and brightest men and women

of nations and corporations the world over

will pool their resources, share their collective vision,

to leave behind a brighter future.

It's not about us.

Therefore, what I'm saying, if I'm saying anything,

is welcome back to the Stark Expo.

And now, making a special guest appearance

from the great beyond to tell you what it's all about,

please welcome my father, Howard.

Everything is achievable through technology.

Better living, robust health,

and for the first time in human history, the possibility of world peace.

So, from all of us here at Stark Industries,

I would like to personally introduce you to the City of the Future.

Technology holds infinite possibilities for mankind,

and will one day rid society of all its ills.

Soon, technology will affect the way you live your life every day.

No more tedious work,

leaving more time for leisure activities and enjoying the sweet life.

The Stark Expo. Welcome.

We are coming to you live from the kickoff of the Stark Expo,

where Tony Stark has just walked offstage.

Don't worry if you can't make it down here tonight

because this Expo goes on all year long.

And I'm gonna be here checking out all the attractions

and the pavilions and the inventions from all around the world.

- Make sure you join me... - All right, it's a zoo out there, watch out.

- Open up, let's go. - Hey! Nice to see you.

- All right. Thank you. I remember you. - Tony, Tony...

Hey, hey...

- Call me. - Hey, hey, hey, hey. Come on, come on.

Hello. It would be a pleasure.

- Okay. - See you, buddy.

This is Larry.

Hey, the oracle of Oracle. What a pleasure.

- Nice to see you. - Call me. Call me.

- Larry King. - Larry!

Yes, my people, my people.

Come on, Tony. There we go.

- Very mellow. - That wasn't so bad.

No, it was perfect.

Look what we got here, the new model.

- Hey, does she come with the car? - I certainly hope so.

- Hi. - Hi.

- And you are? - Marshal.

- Irish. I like it. - Pleased to meet you, Tony.

I'm on the wheel. Do you mind? Where you from?

- Bedford. - What are you doing here?

- Looking for you. - Yeah? You found me.

- What are you up to later? - Serving subpoenas.

He doesn't like to be handed things.

- Yeah, I have a peeve. - I got it.

You are hereby ordered

to appear before the Senate Armed Services Committee

tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.

- Can I see a badge? - You wanna see the badge?

He likes the badge.

- You still like it? - Yep.

- How far are we from D.C.? - D.C.? 250 miles.

How The U.S. Is Outsourcing Border Enforcement To Mexico - Duration: 9:25.

The U.S. is pushing Mexico to get tougher on its southern border, with dangerous consequences.

The U.S. pushed Mexico to do its dirty job of keeping people from reaching our border

and trying to request protection here.

There's been a lot of focus on the Trump administration's immigration policy.

The Trump administration has been lying about this policy and downplaying the deliberate child abuse.

At its capacity, this place could house up to 4,000 children.

And if children get caught up in the fallout of that, according to the attorney general, so be it.

And despite President Trump's claims,

They flow right through Mexico, they send them into the United States.

Mexico actually deports more Central American people than the U.S. does, and has done so since 2015.

The fact that there was a lot of pressure on Mexico to do something that they probably weren't equipped to do,

really is concerning in terms of what this has meant for a very vulnerable population

of Central American migrants mostly, who have been fleeing their homes seeking protection

in the past few years.

Hi guys, I'm Daniel and this Sunday we're going to be talking about the other Mexican border

and how the U.S. is supporting Mexico's efforts to control immigration from Central America.

Those are just a few of the reasons people along Mexico's border with Guatemala

told us why they decided to leave home.

However, most refugees and migrants will never make it to the U.S. border.

That's because starting in 2014 there was a dramatic jump in the number of them arrested in Mexico.

To understand why there's been this increase in arrests, we need to talk about Programa Frontera Sur,

or as it's known in English, the Southern Border Plan.

Frontera Sur is the Mexican government's program to step-up immigration enforcement,

particularly in southern Mexico.

It was announced in July 2014 by Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto after tens of thousands of children

fleeing violence arrived at the U.S. border.

President Obama declared it a humanitarian crisis.

And earlier this week, Mexico announced a series of steps that they're going to take on their southern border

to help stem the tide of these unaccompanied children.

Obama, by the way, has been called "deporter-in-chief" by undocumented immigrant advocacy groups.

Maureen Meyer at WOLA, the Washington Office of Latin America, says

that while Mexico was already arresting Central American refugees and migrants prior to Frontera Sur,

this was significant because it was a conscious decision by Mexico to work more closely with the U.S.

Lots of phone calls were made and requests made from the United States to Mexico saying,

"You need to help us address the Central American migration" and really pressuring Mexico

to step up enforcement as a way to reduce the number of Central Americans reaching the U.S. border.

Initially, Peña Nieto said that part of Frontera Sur would promote and protect migrant rights.

I think if that was the aim, it's failed miserably.

If the objective was more to detain and deport Central Americans and others, then they've had a lot of success.

A quick look at the nature of U.S. involvement might give you an idea of what's shaped the policies of Frontera Sur.

WOLA says that since 2014 there's probably been $200 million allocated to Mexico for southern border security.

Now, what this looks like on the ground is funding for setting up communications towers

along the border that enable Mexico security agencies and the immigration agency to better communicate,

to improved biometric equipment for Mexico's immigration agency,

so you know who's going through your detention centers and the ports of entry.

WOLA even found that ICE, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency,

maintains a presence at a detention center in Tapachula, Mexico that houses children.

Besides sending those fleeing violence back into potentially dangerous situations in their home countries,

Frontera Sur may actually be putting them more at risk on their journey.

Just listen to some of their stories.

The crackdown has pushed travellers into more remote, more dangerous parts of the country

-- a country that's getting more unsafe for everybody.

Mexico's population is a little over one-third of the United States'

and in 2017 there was a record 29,000 homicides in Mexico, the highest number since

the country's modern record-keeping began.

That means in Mexico for every 100,000 people,

more than 20 of them were murdered.

In the U.S. that number was closer to just five,

meaning Mexico's murder rate is nearly four times higher.

Crimes and abuses against people travelling through Mexico continue at an alarming rate,

and according to WOLA, shelters have noted a more intense degree of violence in the reported cases.

And there have been reports of alleged verbal and physical abuse by Mexican officials,

even using Taser guns to threaten and control them.

Migrants are frequently kidnapped, extorted, robbed.

Often women are sexually assaulted both by criminal organizations,

but sometimes in collusion with Mexican officials.

And we have not seen any significant effort by Mexican authorities to curtail those abuses.

The U.S. may have played a larger role in making Mexico more dangerous.

Diego Lorente says the policy of dealing with migration as an issue of national security

actually goes pretty far back.

This focus on security began after the 9/11 attacks,

when former Mexican President Vicente Fox and then U.S. President George W. Bush decided to cooperate

more closely on matters of national security.

Mexico established Plan South, a system of police and

military surveillance. It also started deferring to the U.S.

on issues relating to the southern border.

Then in 2007 came the Mérida Initiative.

The U.S. signed on to support the purchase of military equipment and training

as part of Mexico's newly declared war on drugs.

Under Mérida, the U.S. has allocated over $2 billion in aid to Mexico in the past decade.

And $100 million of that has gone to Mexico's National Institute of Migration since 2014.

Mérida is highly controversial. Critics say it has only made the situation worse.

The strategy coincided with the militarization of public security in Mexico,

in part stemming from an enormous increase in firearm sales from the U.S.

WOLA and human rights organizations have even gone so far as to call on the U.S. to withhold aid from Mexico

because they're concerned about the human rights situation.

It's a very dangerous situation where Mexico's in right now because you have military in roles that don't

correspond to them, and a lot of times leads to abuses against the civilian population or others that they

encounter with very weak accountability mechanisms, so really weak efforts to investigate any soldier involved

in crimes or human rights violations against their population.

And there's another way the U.S. has contributed to this crisis.

Many of the reasons Central Americans are fleeing their home countries stem from decades of U.S. intervention.

Take, for example, the wars in El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua in the 1980s.

The U.S. spent billions funding these wars in an effort to stop the spread of communism

– and the effects are still felt today.

Gangs like MS-13 were made in the U.S.A. They were actually started by

Central Americams who fled U.S.-sponsored civil wars in the 1980s.

In the 90s, President Bill Clinton's policy made it easier for people to be deported,

which sent these gangs back to Central America.

Today, countries like El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras are among the most violent in the world.

I'm actually Salvadoran-American.

And my family fled the war in El Salvador in the 1980s.

What other stories about Central America should we cover?
