Waching daily Jul 2 2018

Again with an analysis to possible characters for super smash bros ultimate,

This time it's the turn of Shovel Knight, that was the one that won the poll!

Ok, let's begin! Shovel Knight is a 2D platform game,

developed and published by the company independent games,

Yacht Club Games, the game was originally released for microsoft

windows, nintendo 3ds and wii u, on June 26, 2014,

shovel knight tries to imitate a style of game and graphics,

similar to those seen in developed games by the nintendo entertaiment system,

and for this, he received favorable criticisms, nominated and won several annual awards

video game, is presented in 8-bit graphics, where

the players control the protagonist, who collects treasures and fights against

Order of No Quarter Shovel's main forms of attack

Knight are your shovel, which he uses to attack his enemies face to face

and to unearth treasures, or point down while jumping to

bounce on enemies, Very well, we have already taken a small look

who is shovel knight, let's start by analyzing its possible percentage

to be included in smash bros ultimate, Name: Shovel Knight

Universe: Shovel Knight Developer: Yacht Club Games

Distributor: Yacht Club Games Switch game: Shovel Knight Treasure Trove

Appearance Percentage: 50% (Possible) Let's continue with the pros and cons that it has

the character to be included in smash, PROS:

1-In the multiple surveys conducted, always is in the TOP 10,

of most requested characters for the game. 2-It was the first Third Party to have an amiibo.

3-It has a game in Switch. 4-It is requested by the public in general.

5-He is a good representative for games indies

CONS: 1-It's not a Nintendo character.

2-Yacht Club Games has not negotiated before with Nintendo for the

inclusion of a character. well, now it's time to see your possible

special attacks and final smash, let's start with your normal special attack,

There are 2 ideas for it, for the 1st, shovel knight will launch these orbs

or green spheres, which will bounce and impact against the

enemy, as it looks on the screen,

we will call this attack: Chaos Sphere, the 2nd idea is that Shovel Knight, use

this scepter, and shoot continuous red energy balls,

that will harm the enemy that comes into contact obviously,

We'll call this attack: Flare Wand, Let's move on to your special attack forward,

There are 2 ideas too, the 1st is that Shovel Knight throws anchors,

every time you press Adelante + B, these anchors are very heavy, so

they will cause a lot of damage, and they break your guard of blow by the weight

from the same, We will call this attack: Throwing Anchor,

the second idea, is that Shovel Knight, hit 2 times forward with your gloves

gold, first with his left fist and then with

the right, as shown on the screen, We will call this attack: Dust Knuckles,

Well, let's continue with your special attack towards down,

this without doubt, is his warhorse, Thanks to this, shovel knight is capable of

cause several expansive waves, that surround it in a circle, this will be an attack

to get rid of enemies quickly, and not allow them to approach you, not provoke

a lot of damage, but it will have enough range and it will make them move away,

We will call this attack: War Horn, and finally, we have your special attack towards

above, which will be your dagger, since as you well know,

the special attack upwards should be a attack that allows the user to save himself

fall, at least, in most of the characters

it's like that, except for Jigglypuff for example, Thanks to this propulsive dagger, you can go

up for a moment and then fall, Also if you are on top of him, he will hit you

with his dagger from below, this will cause you similar continuous damage

to the special attack forward of goal knight,

and it could even work in the same way, that you direct the trajectory,

We will call this attack: Propeller Dagger, oh and if you are wondering about this attack, it would work

better as an air attack down, that's why I did not include it as a

special attack, but hey, now that we've seen the possible

special attacks of shovel knight, it's time for the final smash!

for this, Shield Knight will fall from the sky, and shovel knight, you should catch it,

and while this happens, the opponents will be hit by several shovel knight enemies,

although now in smash bros ultimate apparently they removed all smash that requires a lot of time

onscreen, so they possibly do a cinematic smash

or this smash but much faster than it looks,

the moment Shovel Knight catches To shield knight, the screen will be

White, and when it returns to its usual state, all

the opponents will be fired from the stage, and this would be the final smash for Shovel Knight,

which we will call: Catch Her! 1-What next character would you like?

analyze? 2-You believe that Shovel Knight can be included

to smash? 3-You would like Shovel Knight to be included

to smash? 4-What did you think of my movement ideas?

specials and final smash? All right, that's been all for now,

his friend Javiwario says goodbye, until next time!

The Truth About Tiffany Haddish - Duration: 4:18.

Tiffany Haddish was one of 2017's breakout stars, after her memorable and hilarious performance

in Girls Trip put her on the map.

But how much does the average fan know about this rising comedian?

From her devastating childhood to making history on Saturday Night Live, here's the untold

truth of Tiffany Haddish.

Dark family past

Haddish's childhood wasn't easy.

In her memoir, The Last Black Unicorn, the comedian revealed that her mom was involved

in a terrible car accident that left her brain damaged and lashing out at Tiffany.

Haddish wrote,

"I was told every day I'd never be nothing.

Now I look in the mirror and say, 'Tiffany Haddish, I love and approve of you.'

It was all worth it."

She recalled other nasty remarks her mother often made, adding,

"After the accident, oh my God, she would say the worst things to me.

[...] She couldn't get all her words out, so she'd just punch me.

Just full on.

Because of her, I can take a punch like nobody's business."

"She punched me dead in the face, busted my lip and stuff, and pushed the whole dining

room table into my abdomen."

A few years later, Haddish's mom was taken to a hospital where she was diagnosed with

schizophrenia.

It's Haddish's wish to use her newfound fame and money to help her mom return to the person

she used to be.

Foster care

Because of her mom's mental illness, Haddish was forced to grow up quickly, taking care

of her siblings and herself.

Once child services got involved, she ended up in group homes, which she describes as,

quote, "more like prison."

She wrote in her memoir,

"My comedy skills came in real handy.

I thought that if I made these girls laugh they wouldn't beat me up."

It worked, but speaking with the Tampa Bay Times about her harrowing past, Haddish shared,

"When I talk to some of my comedy buddies now they'll say: 'Tiffany, you ain't never

been afraid.'

And I'm thinking to myself: 'Well, you obviously never knew me.'"

A deal's a deal

In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Haddish revealed that she met a policeman on a cruise,

who tracked her down years later after deciding he wanted a date.

At that point, he had become an investigator, and Haddish asked him to find her father.

The man said he would do it under one condition, she'd have to marry him if he was successful.

"I didn't think he would find him.

But he found him...

I'm a woman of my word.

If I say I'm going to do something, I'm going to do it."

They were married for 5 years, and Haddish blamed the demise of their marriage on his

control and jealousy issues.

In her memoir, she revealed that physical abuse took a serious toll on her.

Filling his shoes

A word of caution: Don't cheat on Tiffany Haddish.

No stranger to drama and bad relationships, Haddish found a rather unique way to get back

at one of her cheating ex-boyfriends.

As she shared in The Last Black Unicorn, Haddish decided to, well, poop in her ex's expensive

Jordans.

When he later slipped them on, she shouted:

"All the s--- you put me through, now you walkin' in it, motherf---er! … and I ran

out the house."

Thinking back on the satisfying moment, Haddish told People magazine,

"I know I'm crazy.

[…] I always try to think of ways to get revenge without going to jail."

Making history

At the start of a stellar career, Haddish has already made history.

In November, she became the first black female stand-up comedian to ever host Saturday Night

Live in its 43 seasons.

But as the star shared with The Breakfast Club, working on SNL wasn't all that great,

and she lost seven pounds from the stress of the experience.

Haddish also explained that the production staff dragged their feet on booking the A-list

cameos she had planned to include in the episode.

When asked if she would ever consider returning to the show, she hesitantly agreed, adding

that there would need to be a compromise.

As for her overall experience?

"The writers and the performers were phenomenal … and then everybody else is what they is."

Thank you, bullies

Haddish knows better than anyone that bullies can leave emotional scars.

Luckily for her, she was able to channel that negative energy into something positive.

Haddish credits her childhood bullies for making her rich today.

"As I got older, I'm like, you know what, I'm fixing to take all the mean stuff them

mean bullies used to say about me and I'm going to make money off it."

Between her 2018 stand-up tour and the numerous film projects she has lined up, it looks like

Haddish will be swimming in cash after all.

"Thank you James!

Thank you Terrell!

Keyosha!

All of y'all, thank you."

guys know the details I don't want to bore you too much with it we have a few

things to talk about right here from a solo unlimited money glitch that's

active in the community to some stuff that we gotta cover let's do this like

the king squad always does okay so what do we do every month we come and we

build a giveaway and we tell you guys to get involved in the community always

drop your comments and that's me basically taking my personal money

putting it on the line in order to get this community more alive and we want to

link up with more people over and over and over again so I would appreciate it

if you guys always come into the video man just slap that like button and be

part of the community that's what makes this channel thrive we've just hit 66

thousand subscribers I do want to say a huge thank you for that I owe it to you

guys that you guys are recommending the channel telling people adding my videos

to playlists that are valuable on YouTube and that's what's making us

increase and go ahead and become what we are today moving forward and also

meeting all other challenges that comes toward this channel one of the things

that I love to do is always to give back and that's this giveaway that I'm

announcing right here for you guys always drop comments on the videos

always let me know what you guys are thinking if you are hitting the glitch

or how much money a glitch has made for you guys now even though we are a GTA 5

glitch channel sometimes we would like to take it in a different direction and

we do mod it outfit we do car reviews right maybe we do submission documenting

so I would appreciate it if you guys don't meet the channel fully about

glitching we want it to be a community about give and take when it comes to GTA

5 solo unlimited money glitch is a glitch busting okay it's a gray area and

I always like to announce it every month in a giveaway because this is gonna be

the lead video that goes forward carrying us into the month I do like to

document people that are fake in the community and I know a lot of you guys

have my back I mean I do appreciate that a lot I want to say thank you for that

but for people that are brand-new people that come here and they think that

himself that we're doing this for the money we're not just doing it for the

money the money that's coming is going to you

guys in giveaways most of it trust me on that

and we tried to say if somebody's doing something shady in the community flag

them let YouTube deal with them now before we get into the solo unlimited

money glitch this is the only solo unlimited ledge that's active in the

community that's worth your time but it does require you to have the BMX the

other day I'm gonna link up a video for you guys I bought the facility because

somebody was saying this is how you can get the BMX into the facility and it

didn't work you have to have a different facility that's the same one that your

friend has that cost a lot of money to switch facilities and your boy put in

the time put in the money and it didn't work so that's why I tell you if you

don't have the BMX this glitch is probably not for you but if you got the

BMX and you can duplicate it from the facility you know you can go ahead and

have unlimited money or do whatever it is that you want to do when it comes to

the solo unlimited money glitch s keep one thing in mind though when you abuse

a glitch fully and you flag yourself on a rockstar server that's against their

policy so you have to be always careful with what you do Rockstar is coming up

with an amazing dlc this is gonna be crazy there's so many rumors about it

we're not gonna get into that we're not really the channel for that but see if

your account don't lose it let's get into the solo unlimited money

glitch and let's do this like the kings squad always does alright so getting

into the solo unlimited money glitch I want to tell you guys in the beginning

this is not a glitch that would make you frustrated this is a very easy glitch

and it's something that anybody could do all you need is

the BMX and the facility having said that the facility is something that a

lot of the new players cannot afford and some new players as well do not have the

BMX inside the facility so you need to be somewhat of a veteran to do this

glitch but it's an easy glitch it doesn't involve timing and everything

visit is not gonna frustrate you whatsoever the first thing that you want

to do is make sure that your top garage is got one empty spot so you'll see me

selling one of the cars in that top garage to Munich one space from there

you need to go ahead and go toward your facility and call on an allergy this is

a social club allergy that's for free it should be in spot number one in your

facility and your facility is full okay from that point once you make contact

with the car that it's on the map walk back inside your facility and go ahead

on the BMX what we're doing right here is duplicating this BMX because we don't

want to lose it if you carry forward with this glitch without duplicating the

BMX you're going to lose it and you're gonna have a hard time getting it back

in the facility until the next glitch I always tell you guys have notifications

turned on one of these glitches comes in you do need to get this BMX into your

facility superfast walk back into the facility on foot and get onto the BMX

and try to wedge it between the touchpad and the foundation of the facility once

you have it wedged in between you're gonna be teleporting on and off when

you're trying to get on the bike all you gotta do is click why and a at the same

time and if that is done correctly you're gonna spawn outside the facility

with the BMX now you need a garage that's near you and in my case it's the

same garage we've been true on solid waste from the beginning it's a 1200 on

route 68 I go to that garage and I Drive in the BMX you get the messages that

tell you're gonna replace a vehicle you don't actually replace anything you're

now in a glitch state you're just gonna put the BMX in there and you're gonna

walk right out once you get that done you're gonna pull up your phone outside

that garage and order a BMX inside that garage the BMX however is not gonna be

inside this garage it's gonna spawn in the garage that we sold the V

from right in the beginning of the video that's why we need to have a spot over

there that's empty and you can have that BMX spawn in it in your case it's gonna

be whatever garage that is on top of your phone when you call the mechanic in

my case it's three three one supply street so I'm gonna go ahead and take a

chopper or a car and make my way all the way to that garage once you get there

and you see the message that the BA the WM X that you order has been delivered

it is in that garage walk your way in there if you want to confirm that

spawned inside and as you can see the BMX is here now for you to transfer this

BMX over to your facility all you got to do is call on your mechanic bring one of

the cars from your facility and drive it right into this garage transferring the

BMX over to the facility now that we're done with that you have an extra BMX in

your facility you can go ahead and start with the glitch and the glitch is very

easy to do walk your way into the bunker once you're inside the bunker walked

into the MOC get into your retro allergy or any other vehicle that you want to

duplicate once you're inside it drive it outside and leave it inside the bunker

walk out on foot take a chopper if you register as a CEO and fly over to your

facility walk and on foot once you're inside get on one of the BM X's and

shout out to your boy for getting one of the BMX as a stock right beside the

bedroom why I was trying to get into the bedroom because not everybody is got the

cannon the cannon is an expensive weapon that you can put inside your facility

not everybody has it this glitch would work with the cannon or with the bed

that is inside your facility all you gotta do is go near the bed and get the

notification that if you click right on the d-pad you're gonna be going to sleep

on that bed but we're not only doing that we're clicking right on the d-pad

and gas at the same time if that's done correctly you're gonna spawn outside the

facility with nothing out there with you when it comes to personal vehicle

getting your chopper and go all the way back to your bunker once you're inside

your bunker and you're walking in on foot go ahead and sit inside that retro

allergy you can see once you do that the plate is going to change into the

vehicle that you basically duplicated that means there is a retro

allergy inside the MLC and there's the one that you're sitting

in it right now go ahead and take it drive it into the MOC that's gonna

transfer the one inside the MOC all the way inside your facility we

always go back and confirm and as you can see it is right there in front of

you in all its glory that's a million dollar duplicated in no time it takes

some what around five minutes if you know what you're doing with this glitch

again it is not the easiest glitch but it's the only active solo unlimited

money glitch don't believe the hype from the other youtubers if they come and

tell you there is an active glitch all of them take a ton of time to do and all

of them have timing involved you're gonna get you really frustrated all

right you guys July giveaway we have everything happening right here on this

channel thank you for all your support it makes it that much better documenting

and stuff and having you guys back me up right here I see you guys on the next

segment before I let you go if you do come across a fake glitch or something

like that do link me up on it our next video there's some people lined up we're

gonna have to take care of business right here and just say stop with the

lies because there is an active solo unlimited money glitch right here but

because of the garbage that you're putting on YouTube gamers don't get to

see it and they get full time and time again I'll see you guys on my next

segment peace baby

Do You Really Need All That Electric Range? | Roundtable Report | Edmunds - Duration: 8:01.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

SPEAKER 1: With the introduction of the Chevrolet Volt, Nissan

LEAF, and Tesla Model 3, we've got three EVs

with a lot of range.

The question now is, how much range do you really need?

SPEAKER 2: The thing about the LEAF

is it's got the least range of the three.

It's 151 miles.

But for my money, that's enough.

Because it costs money to have a battery with more miles.

And I don't think that with my 90-mile commute,

which is pretty long compared to everybody else in the office--

151 miles has proven to be enough.

I can still do side trips.

I'm the kind of ideal EV owner.

I have a garage.

I can charge at home.

It's full every morning.

So it's not a question of, how many miles

do you drive in a week, which is the typical gasoline

vehicle thinking that I think is leading people to wanting

300 miles of range in an EV.

It's like, no, it's how many miles do you drive in a day?

And for most people, that's like 40.

So 151 miles in a LEAF, it's enough.

SPEAKER 3: Even the Volt's 238 miles of range

is totally sufficient for an apartment or condo

dweller that doesn't have daily access to charging.

But they live in a city, and they can opportunity charge

frequently enough to keep that battery going

for the whole week.

SPEAKER 1: But that's just it.

With these EVs, you kind of have to own a house

if you're going to be charging these things every night.

The Model 3 has enough range where that's not necessarily

a requirement.

So it could be a car that's suited for an apartment

dweller.

And plus, the supercharger network

gives you long-distance driving capability.

SPEAKER 3: Having said that, both the Nissan

and the Chevrolet also have their own fast chargers--

the CHAdeMO for the Nissan and an SAE combo plug for the Volt.

SPEAKER 2: But those networks aren't really

that well-developed.

It's kind of Balkanized.

You can't really go anywhere.

It's just great for local fast charging, but not much else.

SPEAKER 1: Yeah.

And that's why I think the Model 3 can suit someone

as their only car.

With the range, you also get a really practical package.

There's more cargo space in that than probably either

of the other two.

SPEAKER 2: Yeah.

If I had this car or that one, and I

wanted to go cross-country, I would probably

leave it in the garage at home and take my second car.

SPEAKER 3: You'd have to be really dedicated, I think,

for electric vehicles to keep one of these things

as your primary car.

SPEAKER 1: Yeah.

I agree with that too.

I mean these-- as practical as the Model

3 is, it's still got some fundamental limitations

of charge time that you can't get around.

I mean even the supercharger network isn't ideal.

It's great that it's widespread, and they're pretty fast.

But we've encountered situations with the supercharger network

where you're waiting to get on a charger

because there's other people already there.

That's become a real problem as more and more Teslas

are getting on the road.

SPEAKER 2: Right.

And the network's really big.

And it's developed across the country.

But it's along major interstates.

And so if you want to kind of go off the grid, you really can't.

An internal combustion engine or an SUV,

you can go kind of anywhere you want because gas stations are

everywhere.

SPEAKER 3: We are talking about a very low use case scenario.

I think we have to remind ourselves

that these cars, for the most part,

they're just going to be used in town on the daily commute.

And I think for that, they're all pretty dang good.

SPEAKER 2: Almost everybody I know

could have at least one EV in their garage.

If they have another car for longer trips, that's perfect.

SPEAKER 3: So is there a substantive answer

on just how much range an EV should have?

SPEAKER 2: I get back to 151 miles.

I mean I don't know if that's the right number.

But it certainly seems to be enough.

And I think that because it has that DC fast charger,

I can do quick top-ups if I need to.

That works.

I mean I don't think I need to spend another $10,000

to get another 75 miles of range or another $20,000

to get another--

I don't know.

I can't do the math real fast--

150 miles of range.

But I mean that's what it amounts to-- dollars and range.

SPEAKER 1: Another factor with range

that we haven't really talked about a whole lot

is the rated range of the vehicle versus what

we can get in the real world.

We've found that with the Chevy and the Nissan

that it's easier to surpass the rated range

than it is with the Tesla.

So while the Tesla has a higher number on the window sticker,

it's harder to overachieve that than it is--

I mean you can really get much more range out of the Volt

than what it's rated for.

SPEAKER 2: I've soft-pedaled the Volt

and gotten 334 miles out of a charge.

And I had 16 left when I plugged in.

I think I could do close to 200 with a LEAF in my slow commute

on the freeway, which is like 35, 40 miles an hour.

It's kind of perfect for an EV.

In the same conditions, it doesn't--

I haven't been able to match the Model 3's range.

So there's something different about the way

that car is rated that means that I kind of almost

think these could go further.

At least the Volt probably could in a side by side

test, even though on paper it looks

like it doesn't stand a chance.

SPEAKER 3: Do you think the regenerative

braking aspects of the Volt and the LEAF

might have something to do with that versus the Model 3?

SPEAKER 1: Yeah, definitely.

The Model 3 being rear-wheel drive

is limited on how much regen you can get,

which means that you're not recovering as much energy

in these slow-and-go city driving situations that you'd

get in a Volt or a LEAF.

SPEAKER 2: Absolutely.

SPEAKER 1: And also, you had an experience

driving the Volt on a steep climb and then downhill, right?

SPEAKER 2: Yeah.

I went up to this place called Crystal Lake, which

is a place at the top of a mountain.

And on the way down, it's all nice, cool, twisty, tight,

mountain road driving.

And I actually had a better time in the Volt

than I did in the Model 3, primarily because of the regen.

It's front-wheel drive.

All the regen's on the front axle

where you want your braking.

And it was really easy to control.

In the Model 3, the regen's on the rear.

But you want your braking on the front.

So I was using the brake pedal more.

It was just not as fun or engaging.

Because lift throttle regen, it turns out,

isn't just about efficiency.

It's also pretty cool.

And it's a lot of fun.

And so these front drivers here actually have an advantage.

Now, when they get to an all-wheel drive Model 3,

then that might change.

Because now they'll be able to regen on the front axle.

It's more about that for me with the all-wheel drive

Model 3 than acceleration.

SPEAKER 3: I'm looking forward to the LEAF's bigger battery.

The stock one, the current one, comes

with a 40-kilowatt battery.

Rumor mills say that a 60-kilowatt battery

will come soon, which should get it close to the Volt's range.

SPEAKER 2: Yeah.

SPEAKER 3: And I think a lot of owners that can only

have one car, whether they're in a home or a condo

or an apartment that you can't charge every day, that might

be the best, the sweet spot.

SPEAKER 2: Yeah.

I'm just wondering what that's going to do to the price.

Because obviously that's going to cost a lot more

to have that much more battery.

I don't know where they're going to put it.

So it may intrude into the cargo volume someplace.

So I don't know what that would look like.

So I'm in wait-and-see mode for that.

SPEAKER 1: If you own a house, and you have frequent charging

opportunities, 150 miles of the LEAF is plenty.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah.

SPEAKER 2: Seems like it for me.

I think the only place where that might be different

is if you live someplace where it's cold,

like in the northern United States.

And I think that's where the 238 miles of the Volt

really comes into its own.

Because EVs aren't as efficient when

they're driven in cold weather.

It's the charging.

But it's also running the heater all the time.

It's an electric heater, so it's using your battery just

to keep the temperature right.

That may change it.

I mean this-- we don't live where it's cold.

It's 75 degrees here pretty much every day.

So that doesn't enter into it.

But if I lived in Michigan, maybe

the LEAF would not have enough range for me.

SPEAKER 1: Yeah.

With the cold weather, maybe having 150 miles just

isn't enough.

SPEAKER 2: It might feel a little bit more

like-- you might start using the words range anxiety again,

whereas this one with 238 miles, maybe it's insulated from that.

SPEAKER 3: Sounds like around 150 miles

seems to work for everybody.

And I think the main thing we need to tell our viewers

is that the way you approach an electric vehicle

is just fundamentally different than a gas car.

Wouldn't you guys say?

SPEAKER 2: Yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER 3: I mean the main thing is

is you can charge an electric car every day.

So it's more about the daily range than the weekly range.

And the reality is I think most people are totally

fine with 150 miles every day.

Has America Worn Out Its Welcome? - Duration: 9:54.

THE RAMIFICATIONS OF DONALD TRUMP TRADE POLICY, WHICH OF

COURSE INCLUDES PRETTY HIGH TARIFFS ON OUR TRADE ALLIES AND

ALLIES IN GENERAL, HAVE ALREADY STARTED TO IMPACT AND

JOHNSON UNITED STATES.

HARLEY-DAVIDSON JUST ANNOUNCED IT WILL SHIP SOME OF ITS

JOBS OVERSEAS TO EUROPE IN ORDER TO SAVE MONEY AS A RESULT

OF THE EUROPEAN TARIFFS AND RESPONSE TO TRUMP'S TRADE

POLICY.

THERE WAS A PIECE IN THE NEW YORK TIMES, AN OPINION

PIECE BUT IT DID A GOOD JOB OUTLINING SOME OF THE OTHER

CONSEQUENCES THAT ARE NOT REALLY BEING TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH

IN THE MAINSTREAM PRESS.

THIS OP-ED WAS WRITTEN BY WENDY CUTLER.

SHE SERVED AS ACTING US TRADE REPRESENTATIVE FROM JUNE 2013

TO OCTOBER 2015 AND HERE IS WHAT SHE FOUND THROUGH HER RESEARCH.

OTHER COUNTRIES, COUNTRIES THAT WE PREVIOUSLY DID NOT IMPOSE

THESE DEEP TARIFFS ON ARE DOING SOMETHING KNOWN AS

DIVERSIFICATION AND WHAT SHE SAYS IS:

WHAT THEY ARE ESSENTIALLY DOING IS DRAWING UP ALLIANCES AND

NEGOTIATING TRADE POLICIES WITH OTHER COUNTRIES IN ORDER TO

COMPENSATE FOR THE LACK OF TRADE WITH THE UNITED STATES.

TRUMP IS MESSAGING TO HIS BASIC THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY

ABOUT, ALL OF THESE OTHER COUNTRIES LOVE THAT WE ARE

NEGOTIATING NOW, WE ARE ALL FRIENDS EVEN THOUGH JUST A

COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO HE GOT INTO A VERY PUBLIC SPAT WITH

JUSTIN TRUDEAU, BUT NO.

THESE COUNTRIES ARE NOW WORKING WITH OTHER COUNTRIES

AND

IGNORING US.

THIS IS NOT A BAD THING, FOR THE OTHER COUNTRIES.

THEY ARE LIKE OKAY, THE UNITED STATES THINKS IT HAS WAY

MORE LEVERAGE THAN IT REALLY HAS.

WE ARE JUST GOING TO TAKE OUR BUSINESS SOMEPLACE ELSE.

IF YOU ARE NOT KNEE-DEEP IN FISCAL POLICY, YOU MIGHT

NOT KNOW WHY THIS IS ACTUALLY WORSE THAN IT SOUNDS.

LOOK, I AM AN INTERNATIONALIST AND THE RIGHT WING WOULD

HATE THAT.

REALLY CARE BETTER CELLS, WHO CARES ABOUT THE REST OF THE

ROAD?

I DO, IF CANADA AND NEW ZEALAND ARE TRADING AND IT IS GOOD

FOR BOTH OF THOSE COUNTRIES, WONDERFUL, I LIKE BOTH OF

THOSE COUNTRIES, THEY ARE GREAT.

BUT, FOR US IN AMERICA, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF PEOPLE BEGIN

TO REALIZE WE ARE NOT INDISPENSABLE ANYMORE BECAUSE IT

IS SUCH A LARGE MARKET THAT EVERYONE THOUGHT WE HAVE TO DO

BUSINESS WITH AMERICA, THEY BUY SO MUCH THAT IT IS REALLY

IMPORTANT THAT WE BASICALLY GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT, THEY

GAVE US LEVERAGE AND NEGOTIATION.

WE DIDN'T GET EVERYTHING, COURSE NOT, AND CHINA IS A REAL

ISSUE TO DEAL WITH AND THEY ARE SAVVY TRADING PARTNERS.

TRUMPETS RIGHT WHEN HE SAYS THAT, IN HE SAYS IN A GOOFY

WAY OF COURSE BUT HE IS RIGHT ABOUT THE OVERALL CONCEPT

THAT CHINA HAS BEEN A VERY TOUGH NEGOTIATING PARTNER AND IT

IS OKAY TO DO SOME TOUGH NEGOTIATIONS WHEN YOU ARE

DOING THE TRADE AGREEMENT.

THE SOUTH KOREAN EXAMPLE IS NOT A GREAT ONE BECAUSE WE ARE

RENEGOTIATING THAT TRADE DEAL.

YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO IN THE MIDDLE.

IN THE MIDDLE IS WHEN YOU GO ALL THE SUDDEN, TERRACE BUT WE

ARE NOT NEGOTIATING A TRADE DEAL RIGHT NOW, WHY ARE YOU ALL

THE CENTERING TARIFFS ON ME, AND I HAVE TO CALL THEM BACK AT

YOU AND NOW WE ARE IN A TRADE WAR AND IT GETS SO BAD THAT

EUROPE, CANADA, MEXICO STARTS TO GO MAYBE WE SHOULD DO

BUSINESS WITH OTHER PEOPLE, MAYBE I DON'T NEED

AMERICA'S MUCH AS I THOUGHT AND THEN WE LOSE LEVERAGE BUT

HAVEN'T GONE TO THE WORST PART YET.

BY THE WAY, MEXICO AND CHINA WHICH HAD A LOT OF HOSTILITIES.

HERE TO AMERICA WE ARE SUCCESS WITH OURSELVES NO ONE KNOWS THAT

BUT NOW CHINA AND MEXICO ARE LIKE, SCREW IT, LET ME GET DEAL.

THAT IS RIGHT AND YOU ARE RIGHT IN SAYING THAT THEY HAVE

HISTORICALLY HAD HOSTILE RELATIONS BUT ACCORDING TO THIS

OP-ED:

SO BY FAR THE BIGGEST BENEFICIARY OF OUR TRADE WARS IS

IRONICALLY CHINA SO HE SAID TO ME LET'S DO BETTER

NEGOTIATIONS WHICH I NOW WITH A GREAT DIVE YOU SAID LET'S DO

IT STUPIDLY, I WOULD NOT AGREE AND THAT IS WHAT WE HAVE DONE

AND IRONICALLY NOW MORE PEOPLE ARE DRIVEN INTO CHINA'S ARMS.

A SMALLER BENEFICIARY BUT A BENEFICIARY IS RUSSIA.

RUSSIA TURNS AROUND AND GOES TO EUROPE AND SAYS LOOK, WE'VE BEEN

FIGHTING A LOT OVER THE UKRAINE AND OTHER THINGS BUT ISN'T

TRUMP BEING TOO TOUGH ON YOU?

THAT IS WHAT IS HAPPENING.

THERE IS SO MUCH NEWS CONSTANTLY BOMBARDING US, IT IS SO

HARD TO FOCUS ON EVERYTHING FINAL SIMULTANEOUSLY SO SOUTH

KOREA

THINGS FALL TO THE CRACKS AND THIS IS ONE OF THE STORIES

THAT CERTAINLY FELT THE CRACKS AND I WISH I WOULD'VE CAUGHT IT.

WHAT DID RUSSIA DO QUESTION I MENTIONED SOUTH

KOREA EARLIER.

AGAIN WITHOUT GETTING KNEE-DEEP IN ALL THE RUSSIA DEBATE, JUST

UNDERSTAND THAT RUSSIA, VLADIMIR PUTIN WANTS WHAT ANY LEADER OF

ANY COUNTRY WOULD WANT AND THAT IS GLOBAL CONTROL, WHAT'S

THE WORD THAT I AM LOOKING FOR?

INFLUENCE OVER ALL THESE DIFFERENT ISSUES AND TRUMP

IS ESSENTIALLY GIVING HIM EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTS.

TRUMP KEEPS REWARDING OUR ADVERSARIES WHILE

SIMULTANEOUSLY PUNISHING OUR LONG-STANDING ALLIES AND HE IS

DOING IT, HE IS CERTAINLY DOING WHEN IT COMES TO TRADE POLICY.

THERE ARE TWO POSSIBLE REASONS WHY.

ONE, HE IS A SIBERIAN CANDIDATE AND PUTIN TOLD HIM TO DO IT

AND HE IS DOING IT.

I KNOW A LOT OF YOU WILL SAY NO WAY, LET'S GET THAT DEBATE.

THE OTHER POSSIBILITY, LET'S GREATLY THAT THAT IS NOT

THE CASE, THE OTHER POSSIBILITY IS HE IS SO STUPID HE HAS

NO IDEA WHAT HE IS DOING.

I'M GOING TO BE TOUGH ON CHINA AND ARE ADVERSARIES.

YOU DO DEALS WITH THEM INSTEAD OF US, OOPS.

, I THINK THAT IS WHAT IS HAPPENING, THE THING THAT

TRUMP IS ASSESSED WITH MORE THAN ANYTHING IS APPEARING TOUGH.

HE WANTS TO APPEAR TOUGH WHEN IT COMES TO EVERYTHING WHEN IN

REALITY, TRADE POLICY IS OBVIOUSLY A COMPLEX ISSUE.

I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT TERRORISTS ARE BAD IN ALL SCENARIOS

BUT IN THESE ONES, WHEN YOU LIKE NUANCE AND YOU DO NOT HAVE

ANY SOPHISTICATED METHOD, IT IS A DISASTER.

HE HAS NOT SAT DOWN TO THINK ABOUT WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES

ARE GOING TO BE.

HE IS ESSENTIALLY PLAYING THIS GAME OF CHICKEN AND LUNCH,

WHEN YOU DO THAT, YOU HAVE TO BE CONFIDENT THAT YOU HAVE ALL

OF THE LEVERAGE ON YOUR SIDE AND HE DOES NOT HAVE IT.

BASICALLY OUR ALLIES ARE SWERVING IN THE LAST

MINUTE, WE ARE RUNNING INTO A BRICK WALL AND THEY ARE

RUNNING INTO CHINA AND RUSSIA'S ARMS.

WE DID NOT WIN THAT GAME BUT I HAVE ACTUALLY NOT GONE TO

THE WORST PART.

LET ME GET TO THAT WHICH IS NOT NEWS ARTICLES.

IF WE LOSE LEVERAGE OVER ALL AND IT APPEARS THAT WE ARE NOT AS

INDISPENSABLE AS COUNTRIES ASSUMED IN THE PAST, THEY

MIGHT ALSO GET OFF THE DOLLAR.

IF THEY STOP USING THE DOLLAR AS THE MOST COMMON TRADING

CURRENCY IN THE WORLD, THEN WE ARE IN A WORLD OF TROUBLE.

THEN THE FED CONSTANTLY DOING QUANTITATIVE EASING AND STUFFING

TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS INTO A BOX NOBODY SEES AND KEEP EARNING

MONEY, THAT ENDS OF CATCHING UP WITH US BECAUSE THEN THEY SAY

HEY, I DON'T NEED TO TRADE IN DOLLARS, NOW I'M GOING TO TRADE

IN EUROS OR SOME OTHER CURRENCY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, INFLATION

STARTS TO GO UP AND YOUR ECONOMY IS HURT AND LOOK, I CAN GO FOR

AN HOUR ON THE DIFFERENT PROBLEMS THAT THE US WILL FACE

IF THE DOLLAR IS NOT THE MAIN CURRENCY IN THE WORLD, BUT

YOU THINK TRUMP KNOWS ANY OF THAT?

HE DOES NOT KNOW ANY OF IT.

SO THIS MISTER MAGOO IS BUMBLING INTO AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE

AND HE HAS NO IDEA.

HE IS LIKE I AM BEING TOUGH.

MEANWHILE, PEOPLE ARE FLEEING FOR THE EXITS.

Electric Trio: The Chevrolet Bolt, Nissan Leaf and Tesla Model 3 Square Off | Edmunds - Duration: 15:02.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

DAN EDMUNDS: What we have here are three electric vehicles

that are well known, perhaps because each

is a dedicated EV that has no gasoline counterpart.

Chevrolet has plugged everything they

learned from their Bolt plug-in hybrid into the Bolt EV.

JASON KAVANAGH: The Model 3 represents Tesla's first foray

into a more accessible EV.

CALVIN KIM: And the Nissan LEAF, the first widely available

electric vehicle in the United States,

is now in its second generation.

And while they're all mainstream offerings,

they're not true direct competitors.

JASON KAVANAGH: Today, we're going

to explore the differences and similarities among these three

popular EVs.

Well, the Tesla Model 3 has a lot of power, actually.

I mean, there's no complaints that I have

with the acceleration in this.

And like all EVs, it has that instant torque.

You can punch around cars on the freeway pretty much instantly.

I mean, you dip your foot down on the accelerator,

and there's just an instant reaction from the car.

That's one of the things that EVs

and in particular, the Tesla does really well.

DAN EDMUNDS: One of the things I like

about the Bolt is it's quick.

I'm just rolling into the throttle, not really laying

into it hard at all.

And it's up to speed and in a short order.

And I am having no problem getting around folks.

People think these things are golf carts.

Uh-uh.

CALVIN KIM: The Nissan LEAF has what sounds like a low number--

146 horsepower.

But it's the torque that really gives it the beans.

It's got about 236, possibly the torque.

Don't quote me on that.

But 236 is a lot for a small car like this.

The car weighs about 3,500 pounds.

So it's well in line.

I mean, basically, it'd be equivalent to a bigger

engine in a compact car.

Needless to say, acceleration is easy and brisk.

JASON KAVANAGH: Well, compared to the Bolt or the LEAF,

the Tesla Model 3 is definitely the most powerful.

It's the most capable.

It's also the most expensive.

It's also the only rear-wheel drive EV of the three.

The other two are front-wheel drive.

And that affects the driving dynamics in a beneficial way

for the Model 3.

The Model 3 has the best steering and handling

of the bunch by far.

It's just a more grown-up feeling

car in the way it goes down the road.

The steering feel is really good.

It corners flat.

It picks up its speed well over bumps.

In terms of steering and handling,

the other two don't touch the Tesla Model 3.

DAN EDMUNDS: The Bolt handles great.

I mean, you wouldn't think so to look at it.

It's tall and skinny.

But the battery pack is low and underneath the floor,

so that keeps the center of gravity low.

And that makes it feel more like a go-cart

than an SUV or something like that.

The steering is also nicely weighted.

It's immediate, but not darty.

It's just what you want to kind of maneuver around in traffic.

JASON KAVANAGH: Now, the range in the Model 3

is kind of its trump card.

We got the long-range version, which

has a 310-mile max range in normal mode, which

is what Tesla recommends you use on a day-to-day basis.

This will do 279 miles, which is still really impressive.

It's still more range than the other two.

In fact, it's the longest range EV you could buy currently.

CALVIN KIM: This face-lift of LEAF--

you get 150 miles of claimed range.

Wonderfully for us, if you put it in ECO mode

and enable e-Pedal, you can get a lot more than that.

With our long-term LEAF, we've been

able to drive it a little bit already.

And we've routinely gotten over 150 miles

with those features enabled.

That's great news for commuters, especially

those that drive a little bit longer distances.

So they can go a week without charging.

Now, for EV owners, the best way to do it

is to charge every night.

But, hey, if you're going to go visit a friend's house,

or maybe go across town to hang out somewhere,

it's nice to have that option.

DAN EDMUNDS: The Model 3 has a higher range

rating than this one.

But I don't really think that at actual practice

that would be the case.

Because I've had a really hard time getting

close to the Model 3's rating.

And yet, with this car, which is rated at 238, I've gone 334.

That's almost 100 miles more than the rating.

And if I'm paying for more battery than I need,

then that's a big part of the price of the car.

And this car could be cheaper if it had a 150-mile range

or a 175-mile range.

CALVIN KIM: One of the best advantages

of electric vehicles is the ability to regenerate,

which is regenerative braking.

That means you can use an electric motor that propels

you to help slow you down.

And one thing that they did very cleverly,

though, is give you a switch right on the center

console here called e-Pedal.

And just by clicking the switch, you immediately

engage that regenerative braking.

Nissan says you can break as much as 2/10

of a "g," which doesn't sound like a lot,

but from our testing, it's plenty.

JASON KAVANAGH: And in the Model 3,

the regenerative effect is strong.

You can basically one-pedal drive this thing

most of the time.

DAN EDMUNDS: Now, the Bolt is especially good in this regard,

better than I think any other car that you can buy,

any other EV.

Because when it's in drive, like it is now,

I toggle using this here.

When it's in drive, there's no regenerative braking.

It's all pads and rotors, so the brake feels utterly natural.

A lot of cars--

EVs and hybrids use something-- a computer that kind of

decides whether it's going to be regenerative

or brake pedal, based on demand.

And so then the brakes feel weird.

This never feels weird, indeed.

And then when you put it in L, there's

so much regenerative braking that the brake lights come on.

And you can actually execute a stop all the way down to zero

without ever touching the brake pedal.

You just modulate the throttle.

Compared to the Model 3 and the LEAF,

I like the Bolt's setup much better.

Click it into L. You've got all the regen you want.

Put it in D. You've got the brake pedal feel you want,

if you want that.

The Model 3-- it's poke through the touchscreen.

And the LEAF requires you to flip a switch,

and you may not remember to do it.

And it's not where you think it should be.

This is really intuitive, really easy, and very effective.

CALVIN KIM: Inside the Nissan LEAF,

you'll find a pretty much traditional car.

The materials are good.

There's not a lot of busyness with the colors and design

choices.

We're in the top SL model, so the seats

are this nice leather with microsuede inserts.

The controls-- again, easy to use, well laid out.

Again, it's more like a regular car, instead of maybe a science

project, or a sci-fi set you'll find in some of the other EVs.

DAN EDMUNDS: The one thing that really disappoints

me more than anything else about the Chevy Bolt

is the quality of the interior materials.

It's just hard plastic which would be OK

if it was attractive.

But there's just a lot of weird lines.

And this color scheme is kind of hard to take.

I mean, I would trade away some battery capacity

and range to get a better interior.

I mean, it doesn't help that we've

got the light-colored interior here.

I think that really does not show it in its best light.

A darker color might mask some of this stuff,

even like the reflections of the dashtop or in the windshield.

Everywhere I go at just about any light condition.

And that's kind of annoying, because the visibility as a car

is great otherwise.

This car is probably the least well equipped

of the three when it comes to active driver aids.

It has a Lane Keeping Assist System.

It has a Forward Collision warning,

but it doesn't have Adaptive Cruise.

It has nothing like Autopilot or Nissan's ProPILOT Assist.

That's not bad because you're not paying for it.

But at the same time, it does lag behind.

And you couldn't get those things if you wanted them.

JASON KAVANAGH: The design of the Model 3's interior

is pretty unusual.

There's not a whole lot of stuff in it.

I mean, it's a wide-open space with a big touchscreen

in the middle, and that's about it.

I mean, you could even go and say

that maybe this is a little generic looking.

But what you can't say is that it's cluttered or crowded.

It feels really breezy and airy in here.

There's a lot of space.

If you need anything, you have to go to the touchscreen.

Or you've got a couple of controls on the steering wheel,

and that's about it.

A good amount of headroom for me.

I'm over 6 feet tall.

It does have this panoramic sunroof arrangement

up here, which gives you a little bit extra headroom.

Compared to the Bolt and the LEAF's interior, or the Model

3's cabin-- is definitely a departure.

And some people really love it.

And some people-- they're maybe going

to have to warm up to it a little bit.

In terms of material quality, the Model 3

does pretty well there.

The seats are this synthetic leather,

which feels pretty convincing, and looks like the real thing.

There's this synthetic suede on the headliner

and on the door panels.

There's also this wood applique on the dashboard.

Overall, the materials look pretty good at a glance.

If you look closer at the Model 3, though,

you'll notice some build quality issues here and there--

cheap plastics, things that don't fit quite right.

We've had some issues with things falling off our car.

But it is built to a higher price point,

certainly than the Bolt or the LEAF is.

CALVIN KIM: The Nissan LEAF is a hatchback

which means, obviously, it's got a big hatch.

A lot of interior cargo room with the seats folded up.

The rear seats do fold 60/40.

You'll find that once you do fold them up,

there is a bit of a shelf from the seatback to the cargo

floor.

But I'd say that between its comp competitors,

this general cargo area is very useful--

the low-loading height, and the nice, deep floor,

and the tall ceiling height.

So you can fit taller cargo, bulkier cargo in a little bit

easier.

DAN EDMUNDS: Of the three, the Bolt

does have the least cargo-carrying capacity

on paper.

But it is very flexible, because of the way

the seats fold, the way the floor can

be set into two positions.

And because you can put roof racks on it.

JASON KAVANAGH: The Model 3 might

look like a hatchback from the outside,

but surprise, it's a sedan, which

means it has a traditional sedan trunk.

But that's no bad thing, because the Model 3's cargo space

is pretty huge.

Not only is the trunk really deep and a good width,

there's extra bonus storage in the floor of the trunk

and an additional trunk at the front of the car.

So you're not hurting for cargo space at all in this.

Another thing it has is a 60/40 folding backseat, which

goes basically completely flat.

You could sleep in the back of the Model 3

if you fold the seats down.

That's how much space there is.

CALVIN KIM: Compared to its competitors,

the LEAF prices pretty well.

Now, in this SL trim with the Pro-PILOT Assist and everything

like that, that'll set you back a little over $37,000.

That's a little bit less than the Bolt

Obviously, a lot less than the Model 3.

And the federal tax credit is still available for this car,

so you can get out the door for a lot less than that.

You do get a lot of car for your money.

The biggest attractor, though, will be the range.

Both the Bolt and the Tesla Model 3

have a lot more range than the LEAF does.

Now, for those that are truly range conscious that really do

want to go on longer trips, rumor

has it that the Nissan LEAF--

bringing out a higher range LEAF next year--

one with a 60-kilowatt battery that cracks the 200 barrier.

Even if you're on the fence about that,

this standard range LEAF with 150 miles

is nothing to sneeze at.

DAN EDMUNDS: The thing about this car

is you can buy it with a premium package,

or you can get the lower-priced base

model that does everything as far as the driving experience.

It just doesn't have as many bells and whistles

for a lot less money.

The Model 3-- right now, the mythical $35,000 one

doesn't exist.

It's vaporware.

Certainly, this is a lot less money than the Model 3.

If the $35,000 one ever comes out,

well, we may have to re-evaluate that.

JASON KAVANAGH: When the Model 3 was launched,

it was purported to be the $35,000 entry-level Tesla.

While that might be the case, Tesla

is not shipping the $35,000 variant of the Model 3.

They're only shipping a long-range variance.

And once you have even a bare minimum

of options like this one--

I mean, this one's sticker price is $55,000.

So we're in a totally different segment than the other two

cars, which are substantially less expensive than this one.

Tesla's Autopilot system makes Nissan Pro-PILOT Assist

look like it's in diapers.

And in a way, it is.

It's Nissan's first attempt at a semi-autonomous driving

mode, whereas Tesla has had several years now

of real-world use of Autopilot.

And they've accumulated a lot of data.

With that said, it's not a perfect system.

We've discovered some issues with it in the past.

But the continual software updates

are a means to address limitations,

not just in Autopilot, but in any system in the car.

So again, pros and cons with being

at the leading edge of things.

CALVIN KIM: Definitely one of the coolest features

of the LEAF is Pro-PILOT Assist.

Now, it's not an autonomous driving system.

What it is, though, is a very, very connected

driver-assist system.

Now, just one button push on the steering wheel

enables the system.

And then to turn it on, you just activate your cruise control.

Now, what that gives you is adaptive cruise control,

which keeps the distance from ourselves and the car in front.

It does lane centering to--

keeps the car in the center of the road.

And it'll even bring you to a complete stop.

It's not a self-driving car.

All it's doing is just keeping it in the center

and at a safe distance from the car in front.

In an interesting twist of fate, this system actually

works pretty darn good, even alongside the Tesla's Autopilot

system.

Now, the Tesla has the advantage of a GPS

and a connected system, where it knows road conditions

to a certain extent.

The Nissan does not have that feature set.

But considering the price premium that Autopilot has

and that Tesla has, we believe Pro-PILOT is a fantastic

addition to the Nissan LEAF.

DAN EDMUNDS: The thing about the Bolt EV

is while I like the way it drives,

I'd trade some of its range for a nicer interior and better

seats.

JASON KAVANAGH: Yeah.

And while the Model 3 is definitely

the best driving, most capable EV here,

you're going to pay for the privilege.

The least expensive Model 3 you can get is $50,000.

The $36,000 version just doesn't exist yet.

CALVIN KIM: Speaking of price, that's the Nissan LEAF's forte.

It's the least expensive.

But it's also one of the more comfortable out of the three,

which begs the question, which of these three EVs

is the right one for you guys?

DAN EDMUNDS: Well, for me, 151 miles of range is enough.

And I do like those seats, so yeah, the LEAF.

JASON KAVANAGH: Yeah.

For me, the cost is the single overriding factor.

And while I don't think the Nissan LEAF is necessarily

the best driving one here, its price point

is really attractive.

So that's the one for me.

CALVIN KIM: Well, we're unanimous.

It's the LEAF for me also, thanks

to its price and practicality.

DAN EDMUNDS: But I do reserve the right

to change my mind when the $36,000 Tesla

Model 3 becomes available.
