Good Morning, Assalamualaikum (moslem greeting).
The Jak! Ah..so many The Jak supporters here. Thank you for the opportunity.
Because I am one of The Jakmania so that I will talk more or less about The Jakmania.
I am the founder of Jakmania. From 1999 to 2005, I was the general manager of Jakmania within 3 periods.
Then there was a regeneration process which selected Bro Danang, Father Riko then Bro Richard as the latest general manager.
But then I was asked again to be the general manager to manage supporters.
From the first time I held the position, I have ensure all The Jakmania committee that football clubs in Indonesia have to have 3 elements that compliments each other,
have strong bonds, and can work together.
If the 3 elements cannot work together very well, those football clubs will not grow.
The 3 elements are fans, management and local government.
Because it is related to facilities provided in the city.
So if the 3 elements can work well together, Inshaa Allah (by God's will), clubs in Indonesia will grow fast.
According to the willingness that clubs in Indonesia don't have to depend on local government which doesn't mean by (using) local budget just like the old times,
but (by providing) facilities instead, (given the fact that) there is no club in Indonesia that has their own stadium.
All the stadiums established by local government
We used to have Pelita Jaya who had their own stadium, but it was also based on build operation contract (agreement) for 20 years
From 1987 until 2007, and they had to release it eventually
So that it belongs to DKI (Jakarta) local government, and like it or not, each club has to have a good cooperation with its local government.
That is something that I am trying to keep in The Jak Supporters minds.
This is automatically according to organizations statutes and bylaws, and one if it is as I can remember
We have to be able to be the bridge of communication between supporters, PERSIJA players, PERSIJA committee and other stakeholders related directly to PERSIJA.
So this becomes the responsibility of todays Jakmania Committee that they have to bridge between PERSIJA management
with its supporters and supporters with local government.
And so far, we have a good relationship management, there is 2-way communication about management expectation
And about what today expectation which always be communicated and so far is still going well.
But from local government this year, they give more attention as the new governor still attends in football match
And this morning we were actually invited by local government to attend in stadium examination event
So, it is an introduction of the new stadium own by local government in BMW Jakarta
So it is about the stadium building progress and its design.
So that is how the good supporters of Indonesian football clubs should be
As I have mentioned earlier that the 3 elements have to be working together well, from its supporters, management and DKI Jakarta government.
The difference between The Jak in previous era and now
There is actually no much difference, but here is the things
Jakmania is an organization, and an organization has identity, each member of Jakmania has identity
What is the identity? It's the member card.
Maybe it becomes a polemic in the end, because people who love PERSIJA don't have to be from Jakmania, right?
You may also do, we have no problem if they don't want to be members of Jakmania and want to create their own community, it's fine for us
But something that they have to bear in mind is when there is a match with PERSIJA (in it), police officers will be coordinated with Jakmania.
It is from the rules about do and don'ts of supporters (behaviour)
And this is something that I share to all the community in PERSIJA tribunes
I invited all the communities to Jakmania secretarial office, I told them that this becomes my responsibility
This is the responsibility of Jakmania committee, same as previous Jakmania Committee which held by Bro Richard, Father Riko
Apart of any problems (occur), when there is something happens, the person called is the Head of Jakmania.
The persons called is field coordinators of Jakmania, they are the ones who will be contacted by security staff.
So that indirectly, those communities are under the umbrella of Jakmania.
If we lift off the umbrella, we disperse Jakmania
There is no General Manager, there are no field coordinators, there are no area coordinators
The police officers will automatically see the stadium, what is going on in the stadium
Oh, at the north side there is Gurfanorth, ok, let we find out who is the leader of Gurfanorthi
Then they will see on the south side, there is Gurfasouth, they will also find out its leader.
Then they will look into other places, oh there is Jakantor, and they will find out the leader
Oh and there is Jakampus, oh there are radical people, there are Tiger Boys, then there is troopers
All of them will be recorded by the police and the leaders will be invited to discuss and treated as they are Jakmania committee.
So that automatically, when the umbrella is lifted off, there will smaller umbrellas that have to be coordinated with police officers.
So that I give them understanding that we have to respect all the umbrellas (communities)
Whoever you are, we have to respect them.
And the communities have a specific facilities, it has to be understood because PERSIJA supporters organizations is only Jakmania.
In the past, there was PERSIJA fans club; yes I know it as I support PERSIJA since I was young
From Diki Zulkarnaen as the Fans Club chief, and then Renny Djajusman, until Odi Agam as the chief
I had been experiencing it.
But it was not as many as todays.
If we watch in Senayan (stadium), we are only minority while the rest are supporters from other local area, supporters from the opposite team.
You can ask former PERSIJA players, there is keeper coach Iman Haryono, there is Isman Jasulmen that you can ask
When Jakmania exists, this becomes a great place for PERSIJA to be known in their own house.
And it was first vision of us, the founder.
And know when they are already hosting their own house, what to do next? We only manage them to be orderly and this is process
If someone says that ìman, PERSIJA now is much differentî
(they become) orderly, this is a process, and what makes them orderly?
Firstly is the stadium, because the existing facilities now make people to think twice to do bad (behaviour).
Secondly, regulation socialization. In the past, red flare was forbidden but there was no socialization.
Now it has been socialized more, red flare is forbidden, and when there is a red flare, we call the person to secretarial office.
We give explanation to the person that this brings disadvantage to PERSIJA.
Every red flare, each racism song, each hate speech will make PERSIJA pays fines and we as supporters supposed to support (the team).
We are not fans, we are supporters, fans are maybe just come and sit to watch (the game)
But we are supporters, we come, we sing, we scream for PERSIJA.
We are trying to not bring disadvantages to PERSIJA.
So if the Red Flare, racism song, and hate speech leads to disadvantage, so we don't do it.
Or when we apply big posters at the east tribune and we got fined, (avoid it).
And this socialization is not only the duty of Jakmania, but also others who have to be a part of giving such education to supporters.
For example, media, clubs themselves as well league committee.
If the socialization runs well, Inshaa Allah (by the God's will) everyone will understand about what do and don'ts, we can enjoy the match.
My representative from Jakmania committee will sit together with players in Halim area, and will be given education about rules and regulation of new game.
I need that regulation, I asked PERSIJA management to conduct this kind of events so that we can sit together with players.
So if there a rule when players know that when there is penalty, they are not allowed to stop while they are running to kick (the ball), supporters have to know as well.
If the player given yellow or red card, and supporters get mad, it is because they don't know the rules.
When they don't know the rules, it is (maybe) because no one tells them so.
For that reason, socialization is important.
We suddenly are not allowed to throw roll paper
While it is allowed in another place, so this has to be socialized well not in Jakarta only, but everywhere, so
There is no double standard for law enforcement in Indonesia.
If someone asks, what is the difference between Jakmania now and in the past?
It is basically the same, because the difference between orderly supporters and vandal supporters only separated by a thin line.
When there something that makes them mad, they can be vandals.
What makes them mad?
2 things, first is the match result, if the referee acts (abnormally) they can be mad, we can say that referees nowadays are way better
There is no more player tackled by another player (in penalty box) they get a penalty
It used to happen in the past, but doesn't happen anymore.
Hopefully nowadays with the new faces exist in PSSI, there will be no more such things.
Second is as I did a speech in the opening of President Cup final match, what else can be the factor of vandalism?
It is actually tickets price. Maybe to be exact is the tickets, it can be the price and it can be about how it is gotten.
That can be the factor of vandalism. If the semi-final ticket price is IDR 30.000-, and it costs IDR 70.000 for the final, this will raise a question, why?
(if the answer is) Yes the cost of renting Senayan Stadium is expensive, ok. But it has to be compensated with comfort.
When they say that the renting cost is expensive in Senayan stadium, and also GBK stadium, it means that it has to provide comfort begins from the entering system
As well when the (audience) get their tickets and when they sit, there is no sight obstacle object.
I once said that why people watch a football match orderly?
Why people watch football match and (become) vandals?
It is back to the entering system, if people go to a cinema then they have to queue for the tickets
They select the sit; even if we come late (to the cinema) our sit remains the same, and the tickets sold according to capacity.
But when we watch football match, we have to queue long for tickets, go through (security system) where our body touched, it is forbidden to bring such (small amount) of perfume, no milk bottle allows for kids
We are treated uncomfortably for the beginning.
And when we sit, people are standing (at the front)
We feel uncomfortable, since we already have bought expensive ticket, but people are standing (in front of us)
They don't sit on the chair, but on the back of the chair instead
Unlike in cinema, we don't experience any sight obstacle object at the front
So that is the difference. And today, with such facilities in GBK stadium, Alhamdulillah (thank god) the Jakmania supposed to think twice to create vandals.
And how is it so far? According to society, The Jak is more orderly so far. Alhamdulillah. Thank you.
